to this day i have no clue why studios that attempt ''souls-likes'' (PTOEY! I HATE GENRENAMES LIKE THAT) copy base mechanics like the bonfire and having swords and putting the game in a generic fantasy setting but. they almost never manage to get fromsoft's fucking combat fluidity right

AND FOR SOME REASON THAT SEEMS TO GO OVER PEOPLE'S HEADS. NO I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE BONFIRE MECHANIC. NO I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LEVELLING UP THROUGH SOULS MECHANIC. NO I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE INVASION SHIT. NO I DON'T CARE ABOUT STUPID FODDER ENEMIES ON THE WAY. YES I DO CARE ABOUT UNIQUE BOSSES. IF YOU CAN ADD OTHER INNOVATIVE WAYS TO SPICE UP YOUR GAME THEN BLOODY FANTASTIC.

BUT MOST OF ALL I WANT THE COMBAT FLUIDITY LIKE FROMSOFT AND IF IT AIN'T THERE IT AIN'T A SOULS-LIKE TO ME. THANKS FOR COMING TO MY TEDTALK. AMEN BITCH

HURTS ME #it doesn't hit as hard as fromsoft combat due to primarily sound design and generally a quicker/easier pace but. that's a good thing #actually leaves more room for exploring and taking in the world around me :) which is what lacked in fromsoft games for me #there's Too Much Death on the Way I Cannot Do This.
