This one's gonna be fluff cuz the first Applin thought gave big sad...

now here's the thing... HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS YET?! I didn't know this is what Applin looks like out of the apple!

and that gave me a hc to where Applin's apple can rot and they have to look for a new apple from time to time

Everyone already knows Galar's legend with Applin giving so imagine couples who decide to not evolve their Applin, the partner giving a basket of apples every important occasion to their s/o

Giving an Applin would mean you'd be together forever, but when it comes to the relationship, both must make it work still. So a basket of apples kinda like symbolizes the commitment both are willing to give no matter the rots and changes they'd face

Edit: This can also turn to a little comedy fluff, where the partner doesn't realize there was a tart/sweet apple along the basket-- P O O F Applin evolved!
