Favorite movies of the year (so far)

Yeah only a few days left in the year, but I am still putting "so far" because a lot of movies from the previous year get released in my city around January so it'll be another month before I can do a good 2024 retrospective. In no particular order:

Sing Sing, Memoir of A Snail, A Real Pain, Small Things Like These, Love Lies Bleeding, and Anora. I also really liked Wicked, Conclave, and Dune Pt 2. There's more but I'm blanking out.

#it was kinda a dull year for movies compared to 2023 #looking at my Letterbox list I realized my favorite movies I saw in theaters #were films from 2023 released around January-March because of delayed release #So actually in terms of films I saw for the first time in theaters I'd want to include things like Anatomy of A Fall #and Zone of Interest and Bottoms #but that was last season #lior liveblogs movie season #lior liveblogs awards season #film
