SWEET FLOWER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
★Pairing: Rio Vidal x reader x Agatha Harkness
★Summary: porn without plot (I’m not sorry)
★Word count: 1.3k
★Warnings: NSFW 18+ dom/sub dynamics if you squint, petnames, orgasm control, some magic use, mommy kink, threesome, bites, aftercare
A/N: I haven't written anything for a VERY LONG time and after such a break this is all that came out. I love Agatha and Rio so much, my sweet buns, but sometimes my brain goes in the wrong direction.
DISCLAIMER: ENGLISH ISNT MY FIRST LANGUAGE
Tumblr media
Sitting on Agatha's lap was probably the most pleasant pastime you could imagine. The scent of the older woman's heavy perfume filled everything around you and something inside you broke.
The little teasing had finally crossed the line, or at least her patience had run out. Either way, you didn't mind. Until you felt the green witch's arms around your waist and her nose buried in your hair, inhaling the scent of shampoo.
"Should we torture her?" a voice called from behind you. You were trapped between the bodies of two witches, Agatha's chuckle lost in the skin of your neck as she kissed and bit while Rio settled her hands on your hips. "I don't recall asking you to join," Agatha snapped. Their manner of communication had become so familiar that it was immediately clear that she was not serious.
Then Rio leaned down, forcing you to lie on top of the older woman so that she could reach her lips and unexpectedly pull Agatha into a kiss. As the women moved in tandem, ignoring you, your heart skipped a beat. You would be lying if you said it wasn't the most mesmerizing view of your life. Rio forced your aching center to press against Agatha's stomach and a sigh escaped your lips. The green witch chuckled through the kiss and took you in her arms, doing it again. Your head fell on Agatha's shoulder, and hands tightly gripped the back of the sofa, which you had been holding on to all this time.
“Oh god,” you whispered, which didn’t go unnoticed. Agatha broke the kiss, turning her head towards you and lifting your face up by the chin with two fingers. “What’s up pet? You want both of us? Is that driving you crazy?” Her taunt was driving you crazy, but she was right. You started to turn your head back to look at the green witch, but Agatha pulled you back, grabbing your face. “Answer me.” You tried to gather your thoughts, but instead a hiss came out as Rio’s teeth sank into your neck. “Fuck.” Your eyes closed and another throaty laugh reached your ears. “Such a greedy girl, you think you can take two at once?”
“I…I don’t.” Was all you could say before Rio’s hand found the area between your thighs, pressing through the fabric of your underwear to your entrance. “Sweet little thing, already soaking wet for us.” Another taunt. “Maybe if I do this she’ll talk faster?” That was definitely not the case, because the next thing Rio did was the one that completely destroyed your ability to think clearly. Her fingers pushed your underwear aside and ran through your wet folds, teasing your entrance again. You were clay in their hands, to be molded into anything they wanted.
Your hips moved and sought more contact, but Agatha lifted you higher, so that your breasts were level with her mouth. “Not so fast, baby.” Her lips wrapped around your nipple until her hand reached your swollen clit to rub small circles. “FUCK. Oh my god.” Rio’s lips were on your neck again, then on your shoulders, leaving love bites that were quickly turning red. “But it’s just us, sweetheart.” Another chuckle.
Their hands and lips seemed to be everywhere and your body was vibrating with need. Sobs left your mouth and beads of tears formed in the corners of your eyes from some of the particularly harsh bites both women were giving. “Oh look Agatha, we have too sensitive flower in our hands.” You finally turned your head and met Rio’s brown eyes. Out of nowhere, the flower she always carried appeared in her hand and she placed it behind your ear. Her thumb wiped away your tears and she leaned down to pull you into a slow, gentle kiss that was such a contrast to the bites she had just received. The woman didn’t let go even when your lungs ran out of air, it felt like she had been starving for centuries before connecting your lips.
Agatha's fingers pressed against your sensitive bud again at this time and you moaned into the green witch's mouth. "You never knew how to share." You understood what she was talking about when Agatha's hand turned your head again so that this time another witch could give you a hungry kiss. Hands grabbed and crumpled her jacket. Rio's fingers stroked your stomach, chest, hips, wherever she could reach, she laid her head on your shoulder and, collected your arousal between the folds and pushed two fingers inside, making you see stars. "Such a tight little pussy, huh?" You screamed and threw your head back on Rio's shoulder, Agatha was clearly not happy with the loss of contact and painfully bite your nipple, making you hiss again. "Such impudence will take a long time to work off, pet."
Rio's fingers moved in perfect rhythm, pressing into the soft spot inside each time, while Agatha played with your swollen clit. Your hips moved to their pace, wet sounds of arousal filling the room. "Oh fuck, yes yes please..." The witches looked at each other in silent dialogue, the green witch's other hand buried itself in your hair and pulled, forcing you to arch, and Agatha's mouth found your breast again. "What are you asking for, baby girl? Maybe if you say it right, we'll give it." Rio whispered in your ear, and then licked.
Your breath caught in your throat, panting from the fast pace and the good feeling. You wanted, no, you craved them to take you to the edge and it didn't matter how much you had to beg. These two were worth everything. Rio adjusted the flower that was threatening to fall out from behind your ear.
“We are waiting, pet." Agatha's hoarse voice interrupted your thoughts. Without hesitation, you asked. "Please." A painful bite remained on your collarbone. "Not right, try again." Their movements did’t stop, and you knew that you could not hold out for long. "Please, Agatha? Please, let me." You repeated the word like a broken record. Sharp nails dug into your thigh, lowering you onto the Rio’s fingers. "Wrong, sweet girl. Come on, say it. We know what you have in mind."
A thread of green magic enveloped your head, catching the necessary thought from your consciousness. Your eyes widened. Your misty gaze studied Agatha's face, her lips stretched into a smile and her teeth bit her lower lip. "Come on, pet. Don't upset us." Again a hoarse whisper in your ear. The knot in your stomach tightened with each movement of the women's hands. "Please.. mommy?" You shook your head looking at the women in turn. "Mommy please." You addressed them both. Then Rio made a rougher push. "That's it, darling." Her hand lay on your cheek and turned your head so that you looked only at Agatha. Gray eyes burned with mockery, and the woman said "Let it go" with her lips.
Your thighs tensed and shook, the orgasm covered you in a giant wave, your walls squeezed around Rio's fingers, and Agatha continued to draw circles on your swollen clit, prolonging the pleasure. Pornographic screams came out of your mouth, and you were not ashamed.
When you calmed down, Rio pulled out and brought her hand to your face. Your arousal flowed down her palm. "Mmm, our flower did so well, look, sweetheart." Agatha ran her fingers through your disheveled hair and stroked the top of your head. "Absolutely." There was no trace left of the previous cruelty and both women left small kisses on your body, apologizing for the previous bites. You relaxed and lay completely on Agatha, burying your nose in fluffy hair. "Thank you," Rio plucked the flower from your hair and tucked it behind Agatha's ear. "Honey, don't you think this is the end?”

chocolate
Tumblr media
character(s): toji fushiguro synopsis: you accidentally eat an aphrodisiac, but you definitely don't regret it. word count: 1.1k warning(s): smut a/n: i need him SO BAD inspired by this fic by the amazing @tonycries <3
Tumblr media
this was a prank. it had to be. you stared at the empty black chocolate wrapper in front of you in horror. the bold, golden letters on the wrapper seemingly mocking your current predicament. 'making bedroom adventures sweeter since 1992' written in a sickeningly bold cursive font under the brand name.
once your initial surprise wore off, you realized you actually felt quite... normal. you had just eaten an aphrodisiac for the first time, after all. even if it was accidentally. but you felt pretty okay, so you decided to get back to work since your lunch break was over.
just as you were about to start working, your phone rang, showing your wallpaper of your drop dead gorgeous boyfriend toji. still, nothing was happening. there was absolutely no change in how you felt.
until you heard his voice.
"hey doll, you eat yet?"
and just like that, you melted at the thought of him.
your hands on his sculpted abs, teasingly moving lower. him whispering praises on how you're being such a good girl for him, how pretty you look right now. how he lifts his arm to fix his hair, unintentionally flexing his bicep to-
"babe, you there?"
"toji!" your voice came out much breathier than you anticipated. you were suddenly made very aware of how you'd soaked straight through your panties just by hearing his voice. you told him you'd be coming home early today and ended the call quickly.
when you entered your house, you found a naively confused looking toji sitting on the sofa. you would've explained the situation to him, but the only thought in your mind after seeing him sitting there looking so positively delicious, was having his fat cock inside you, making you cum over and over until you couldn't walk for a week.
you practically ripped your clothes off the moment you shut the door behind you.
"well i'm not complainin' doll, but what's goin' on?" toji questioned, his hungry eyes practically devouring you regardless.
you didn't even give him an answer. instead, you walked over to him and straddled his lap, and kissed him. you kissed him again, and again because fuck, he just felt so good against you. so warm, so right, so fucking big.
when you finally pulled away for air, all you could let out was a whiny "need you, toji." you kissed him again, harder this time. then his hands were everywhere, his touch alone lighting your skin on fire. he was holding the back of your neck, and then his hands were on your waist. every touch of his was driving you crazy, the heat inside you only growing, especially as his hand moved to squeeze your ass.
with that, you lost any semblance of self control you might've had before. you broke the kiss and tugged his hair, guiding his lips to your neck. you practically ripped his shirt off. a primal, raw instinct taking over you now. you slowly started grinding on his thigh, moans spilling out from your mouth uncontrollably. you could hardly think with the way his muscular thigh felt against you.
your bare cunt was rubbing against the denim of his jeans, which were already soaking wet because of you. the material rubbing against and catching your clit just right. his hands were on your ass, squeezing and caressing it while guiding you. his mouth sucking your tits, occasionally leaving hickeys on your neck as little whines escaped your pretty lips.
and just like that you're so close, that sweet relief feels so near. "toji please i'm so-" and you cum all over his pants before you can finish your sentence. he kisses you while still guiding you with his hands still on your ass, not letting you slow down. but you're still horny as ever. you get off his lap and help him take off his jeans and boxers, then you drop to your knees in between his spread legs.
oh fuck. he wasn't making it out of this alive.
you start by licking a small stripe up his painfully hard, slightly red and leaky cock. then you slowly take his flushed, hot tip inside your mouth, licking it almost teasingly. and then, within a second, you have his whole cock inside your mouth, tip almost touching the back of your throat with your cheeks hollowed out as you felt every vein running up his length, your saliva spreading on his cock as he fucked your throat relentlessly. "fuck you're such a good girl, shit" "mm, i know you can take all of it, my good little slut"
his cock was so big you had tears in your eyes trying to deepthroat it, but you couldn't stop, not when he looked like that. one hand on the back of your head, guiding you, with the other one in his hair, causing him to flex his bicep. his abs glistening with the light sheen of sweat that had formed, the salty taste of his precum in your mouth so addictive.
his flushed cheeks and closed eyes that would occasionally open to look down at you. his mouth, which was open and saying the filthiest of things to you, cursing and groaning every other second, panting from how good you were taking him, how deep he was.
you couldn't wait any longer, you were nearly dripping onto the floor.
you stood up and leaned down to kiss him, tugging on his hair. "need you, toji" you whined. "need me where, princess?" god, he was such a tease. but you were impatient. so you allowed yourself to sink down onto his length with no warning, bottoming out in a singular thrust as he throws his head back, eyes rolling into the back of his head with a broken moan of your name.
shit, you were gonna be the death of him.
you were so wet you could cum from that alone, but you needed more, more, more. you've been on top before, but never like this. you were insatiable, riding him like there was no tomorrow. the lewd sound of his cock going in and out of you, the feeling of being so full and stretched out so well, him whispering dirty praises into your ears, the timbre of his voice when he moaned, it was too much.
you couldn’t hold it in even if you tried, cumming all over his cock. he finished inside you a few seconds later, holding your hips down and in place to keep you from squirming as he filled you up, hips stuttering with his broken whines of your name, his warm cum dripping out of your ravaged pussy.
you didn’t stop there, though. you continued riding him, the only thought on your mind being toji. his current state only turned you on even more. completely lost in the feeling of you, so drunk on your pussy, a whimpering mess all for you.
you placed your lips on his again, wanting nothing more than to taste him. he couldn’t form a coherent sentence anymore. he was high on the feeling of your warm pussy fluttering around his fat cock, forming a sticky, creamy ring at the base as you continued. he was moaning so loud you were sure the neighbors heard you.
the overstimulation paired with your hands tugging on his hair as his mouth fell permanently open, practically drooling over you, with his hands squeezing your ass, and the view through his half lidded eyes of your tits bouncing so perfectly as you rode him were just too much for him.
the oversensitivity made you both cum again, filthy moans escaping the both of you. yet, you still didn’t stop. toji felt like he might pass out, but fuck, it felt so amazing. at this point, he knew it wouldn’t be over until one of you had blacked out. and he loved every goddamn second of it.
toji, despite having way more stamina than you, blacked out first - you were insatiable. that chocolate was the only thing keeping you going for longer than your greek god of a man. god, you'd never felt so fucked out. you both wake up on the sofa, your naked body on top of his. you woke up to find him already smirking down at you, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “toji?” you questioned. “yeah, i'm definitely giving you those again.” he said with a grin.
then it clicked. that little shit had replaced your chocolate on purpose. “TOJI FUSHIGURO-”

"Darling, bad luck seems endless." - Bucky Barnes
Tumblr media
Summary: You've always been haunted by bad luck your entire life, despising it deeply, until you meet someone who finds it amusing.
Character: dark!Bucky Barnes x Female!Reader
Author's Note: Hello, everyone; this story is for the sleepover event hosted by @the-slumberparty. What I chose is a strawberry sundae with gummy bears as the topping.
Chapter 1 , Chapter 2 .
Main Masterlist || support: Ko-fi
Thank you to anyone who gave a like, reblog, and left a comment. It motivated me to write more.
Tumblr media
Bad luck.
You always felt that bad luck followed you everywhere. Growing up, you didn't realize it, but it became clear to you after becoming an adult.
There was one time when you had prepared for an exam, but two days before, you got a high fever and had to take the exam all by yourself.
When you got an offer to study piano abroad, your father's business went bankrupt.
Then, when you finally got into your dream college, your father's business went bankrupt. Again.
When you wanted to study and paid for an extra course, the teacher lied and told you to study alone. It turned out you could learn everything from the internet. You were taken in by his sweet talk because of his experience working in the industry.
After you graduated, you went to work at a studio, but it went bankrupt because the owner embezzled the money to buy a Ferrari.
Then, you were introduced by a relative to an investment. Because you saw her enjoying the profit, you put all your money into the investment. For eight months, it went great, but after that, everything went to hell because it was a scam. You lost the money, the money that your father had left you. It still pains you.
Each time it feels like life is going your way, it soon comes crashing down when you face another misfortune.
As a last resort, you went to a priest but received no answers. You visited a shaman but still found no answers. Then, you went to a paranormal who said, “Bad luck fucks you like Zeus fucks his prey.”
‘Well, shit,’ you thought.
Not knowing what life would bring you, you tried to find another way to make money by taking a class in jewelry making. You pretended to hate it and not enjoy making jewelry.
You were scared that each time you enjoyed or liked something, bad luck would come like judgment day with no warning and take all the joy from you.
But bad luck can't be fooled. It appeared again in another form. It turned out the jewelry store owner was actually a gangster in the diamond business. It was a risky job, but it helped to pay the bills.
Sir Galileo, with his grey hair and special glasses that he always wore to appraise diamonds, was an eccentric man. He always dressed as royalty and wore white gloves. He insisted from the beginning that you call him a 'sir.'
He always brought you with him whenever he went to see a client. Specifically, your job was to drive the car, take notes, and design jewelry for clients. The clients were unique, too: mafia, drug dealers, etc.
Of all the clients, there was only one that caught your attention. You liked him because he was a regular customer and always paid upfront.
James Buchanan Barnes, or his nickname ‘Bucky’. You didn’t know much about him, but he was loaded with money. His mansion, his vintage car collection, and the rings he wore on his fingers were all testaments to his wealth.
Every time you met him, it was always at a different place. It was never the same location.
Damn, each gold and diamond in his rings could solve world hunger. Even Sir Galileo respected Bucky.
Today, Bucky called both of you again.
When you both arrived at a new location, another mansion, you couldn't help but be impressed by its grandeur. The sprawling estate was surrounded by lush gardens and towering gates. The mansion itself was a blend of modern architecture and classic elegance, with large windows reflecting the sunlight and intricate details on every corner.
Bucky looked at you while opening his arms wide. “My Da Vinci,” he greeted warmly.
You blushed when he called you that. His nickname for you always made you feel a mixture of pride and embarrassment. You looked down briefly, trying to hide your flushed cheeks.
“I can't wait to see the design you've made,” he said, turning to Sir Galileo. “And I want you to take a look at that ruby stone I got.”
“Sure,” Sir Galileo replied with a nod.
Once everyone was seated in the lavishly decorated living room, you grabbed your tablet and showed Bucky the jewelry design you had created for him. Instead of the usual ring or bracelet, you had designed a watch that fit his character perfectly—sleek, elegant, and powerful.
Bucky inhaled his cigar, examining the design closely. “This is great,” he said, a rare smile forming on his lips.
You felt a surge of pride when your work was appreciated, but you quickly dismissed the feeling. You didn’t want another bout of bad luck to hit you like a truck.
“How did you get this ruby?” Sir Galileo asked, still scrutinizing the stone with his special glasses.
“Tsk,” Bucky clicked his tongue. “Don’t remind me. My man got hurt getting that.”
“Another incident?” Sir Galileo inquired, raising an eyebrow.
Bucky exhaled smoke from his mouth, his expression darkening. “We’ve never had a casualty like this before. I feel like we have bad luck.”
You flinched when you heard ‘bad luck.’ Could it be that your bad luck had moved to Bucky?
You hoped nothing bad would happen to Bucky because you enjoyed working for him.
But once again, bad luck visited you. This time, it came in the form of a bullet shooting through the window. It was a surprise attack.
“Fuck,” Bucky cursed as he shielded you from the bullet and hid behind a chair.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his face close to yours, making your heartbeat quicken.
“I… I'm fine,” you stammered.
Bucky took a peek out the window, his eyes narrowing. “How did they find out my hideout?” he cursed.
You stayed quiet. Could it be because of you?
Sir Galileo, hiding behind a table, said urgently, “We should run.”
“No shit,” Bucky responded. He called his guards to prepare for an escape.
The three of you stayed low until you reached the garage. You all piled into a black SUV, the engine roaring to life.
Never had you imagined you’d be in a car chase. The adrenaline pumped through your veins as the SUV sped down the driveway, bullets ricocheting off the sides.
The roar of the engine filled your ears as the black SUV tore down the narrow streets. Bucky was driving with a fierce determination, weaving in and out of traffic, while Sir Galileo barked directions from the passenger seat. Behind you, the pursuing cars kept gaining, their headlights piercing through the dusk like the eyes of predators closing in on their prey. Bullets shattered the rear window, and the vehicle swerved violently as you tried to avoid the onslaught.
The situation felt hopeless. You could see the grim set of Bucky’s jaw, the way Sir Galileo’s hands gripped the dashboard. They were in danger because of you. You had to do something. You took a deep breath and made a decision.
“Leave me here,” you said, your voice trembling but resolute.
Bucky glanced at you, confusion and anger flashing across his face. “What? You've got nothing to do with this.”
“I think I do,” you whispered, feeling the weight of your bad luck pressing down on you. You reached for the door handle and flung the door open, the rush of wind pulling at you.
“You're crazy!!!” Bucky yelled, reaching for you, but you were already tumbling out of the car. The asphalt rushed up to meet you, and you hit the ground hard, rolling painfully to a stop. Your body ached all over, but you forced yourself to sit up. Through the haze of pain, you saw Bucky’s car speeding away. Relief washed over you, knowing they had a chance to escape.
“Click.”
The unmistakable sound of a gun being cocked froze you in place. You looked up to see several men emerging from the pursuing cars, their guns trained on you.
“You’re coming with us,” one of them said, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.
They hauled you to your feet, roughly searching you for weapons. You winced at the pain but felt a grim satisfaction knowing Bucky and Sir Galileo were getting away. The men shoved you towards one of their cars, and you knew your fate was now in their hands.
🍀🍀🍀🍀
The days blurred together as you sat in a dimly lit room, the only illumination coming from a bare bulb hanging from the ceiling. Your captors had bound your wrists to the chair, and the rough rope chafed against your skin. They had been relentless, taking turns to interrogate you, their questions a mix of frustration and suspicion.
“Tell us about Bucky,” one of them demanded, leaning in close, his breath reeking of tobacco and stale beer.
“I’m just a jewelry designer,” you insisted, your voice hoarse from hours of questioning.
“No. You’re more than that,” he sneered. “Barnes never invited the same person more than twice. You must mean something to him.”
You blinked in surprise. That was news to you. Bucky had always seemed so casual, so composed. You had no idea he had such strict rules.
“I told you, I’m just a designer,” you repeated, trying to maintain your composure.
‘BANG.’
Suddenly, an explosion rocked the hideout. The walls shook, and dust rained down from the ceiling. Panic spread through the room as your captors scrambled, their plans falling apart.
“Fuck! Nothing’s going our way!” one of them shouted, his voice tinged with fear.
You couldn’t help but think that maybe this was your fault, that your bad luck had followed you here and was now wreaking havoc on these gangsters. The thought made your stomach churn with guilt.
Then, you heard gunshots. The sharp cracks echoed through the building, and you instinctively covered your ears, trying to block out the chaos. Moments later, the door burst open, and you saw Bucky standing there, a fierce determination in his eyes. He quickly dispatched your captors with a series of precise shots, his movements fluid and lethal.
“Fuck,” Bucky muttered, surveying the scene before his eyes locked onto you. He holstered his gun and hurried to your side, cutting the ropes that bound you.
Bucky helped you stand up, his eyes searching your face. “I still can't believe you."
“Me?” you began, trying to find the right words.
Bucky cut you off, a rare, almost gentle smile touching his lips. “You’re the only woman willing to sacrifice for me.”
He still can't believe that a girl like you, whom he only knew as a designer, was willing to sacrifice for him. Bucky has been interested in you because of your background, wondering how a good girl like you could end up working with Sir Galileo.
“It’s all…” You started, but then you felt something cold press against the side of your forehead.
'Click.'
You gasped in shock, your heart pounding as you realized Bucky was pointing a gun at you.
Bucky’s smile turned cold and frightening. “Now, dear, tell me why you said it’s all because of you before you jumped off the car.”
“Because I'm bad luck,” you whispered, your voice trembling.
“Huh?” Bucky's eyes narrowed.
“You probably think I’m insane, but I bring bad luck wherever I go,” you explained, your voice shaking.
“Hah!” Bucky's eyes widened for a moment before he burst into laughter. “Hahahaha…”
He laughed so hard that he wiped a tear from his eye. “This is getting more interesting.”
His laughter sent chills down your spine. He found it amusing, but to you, it was a curse. His grip on the gun didn’t waver as he stepped closer, his presence overpowering.
Bucky leaned in, his breath warm against your skin. “We’ll get along just fine,” he said, his voice a low, dangerous whisper.

The Bear (Anders Lassen x F! Reader)
Request from @wunder-blunder: I'm (VERY) interested in Anders Lassen (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare) x female reader, I really enjoyed your fic Living for Later (a part 2 for that would be awesome)! So, if you're still interested/reading, my idea is that the group (Anders, Gus, etc.) go to a bar after they get out of confinement at the end of the movie, and that's where Anders and the female reader meet. The female reader (very understandably) can't stop staring at Anders so he walks over to ask why she's staring. The female reader will say how she's just shocked that anyone would let a bear into a bar (Anders is the bear), flirty banter happens and eventually leads to much more explicit things.
Pairing: Anders Lassen x Female Reader
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, minors do not interact. 18 + ONLY. Oral M & F receiving, language, thigh riding, p in v, happy ending.

"Taste that, Gentlemen," Gus holds up his pint, "the taste of freedom." They click their glasses together, beer sloshing over the side and landing on the bar top before they tip back the pints.
"Damn, I don't think anything could taste better," Freddy sighs, looking at his glass like a lover.
Anders smiles to himself, "I can think of something." His eyes scan across the room, his back casually leaning against the bar.
"Naughty boy, Lassen," Apple laughs, taking another sip and glancing around at the lack of women in the pub. "But it doesn't look like you're going to have much luck around here."
"Would you like another?" Anders turns slowly, his heartbeat quickening when he sees you there behind the bar, the other bartender giving you a smile and a pat on the back as he heads out. "Jesus," you whistle, "I didn't know we let bears in here."
"What?" Anders sits straighter looking around for the threat.
You giggle, "I meant you," you point at him, "you look like a fuckin' bear. What did you do to get a body like that? Bench press cars?"
His cheeks turn pink and he coughs, adjusting his glasses, "I-well I."
"Steamin' Jesus," Apple chuckles, "she's got you tongue-tied Lassen!"
You give the one called Lassen a playful wink before pouring him another pint and placing it before him. "This one's on the house, didn't mean to embarrass ya in front of your friends."
"It's no trouble," he turns and speaks at his friends between clenched teeth, "they seem to have lost their manners in prison."
"Prison?" you stand straighter looking between the patrons, "you lot just got out of prison?" They nod sheepishly, "what the hell for?"
"That's classified," the one with the dark black facial hair and curls speaks up. "But we were found innocent and released today."
"So you're not raging murderous psychopaths?" you ask, refilling their glasses and wiping down the bar from the previous spill.
"Only when it comes to Nazis," you look at the Bear and feel a smile pull at your lips.
"Well, that's just fine then."
The rest of the night passes quickly, you make conversation with the other patrons, fix drinks, and try not the spend the entire time drooling over the beast of a man seated at your ber. While all of those things go well, the latter is hard to accomplish. It probably isn't helpful that you can feel his eyes follow you around the room.
And when your eyes meet, it's fucking electric. He's so big, he barely fits on the chair, his shirt sleeves rolled up leave little to the imagination and it makes your seriously want to know if he's that big, everywhere.
"Last call, gents," you ring the bell, seeing a handful of regulars come up for a final pint or to settle their bill.
You move about the room, starting the closing tasks for the evening, tossing goodbyes over your shoulder until the chime of the door is silenced. But when you look up your breath catches at seeing one lone patron remaining.
"We're closed," your voice comes out breathy, and you clear your throat. He's silent, watching you like he has all night, and you feel your assessment of him as a bear was accurate. He's an animal alright, and he's hungry.
"Do you want me to leave?" he asks, crossing his arms across him onto the bar top, and resting his chin on his hands. "Say the word, and I will go."
The words slip out before you can process, "No," he smiles, "I don't want you to leave."
He nods, before straightening, "what do we need to do to go?"
"Oh," you quickly lift your hands, shaking your head, "no, you just sit there, I can finish by myself."
He stands and your eyes widen to the size of dinner plates. Fuck, he is a giant, towering over you. You didn't get to grasp how tall he was when he sat at the bar all evening and your panties drench just thinking of how big he is. The thought from earlier comes back with a vengeance and you gulp, your eyes traveling down his body.
"See something you like?" He holds out his arms and turns for you, smirking when he catches your eyes, "are you just going to look, darling?"
"No," you swallow, shaking your head, and moving to stand before him. Tentatively you reach a hand out towards his chest, gasping when he grabs your wrist and pulls you into his orbit. His chest is solid muscle beneath your palm, and you move across his chest towards his arm, tongue coming out to lick your lips.
He groans, and your eyes snap to his, but his arm on your lips, "can I kiss you?" he asks, his hand coming to rest on your chin, his thumb pulling down your bottom lip before you bend your head and take it into your mouth. Tongue swirling around his digit, sucking it between your lips before letting go with a pop.
"Knulla," he mumbles under his breath.
"Kiss me Bear," you command and he wastes not a moment. His arms wrapping around your waist and hoisting you into his arms before your ass lands on the bar top. He nestles his body between your thighs, spreading them far to make room for his large form.
"Tell me you want this," he's so close, and you feel a little drunk having him so close. "Tell me," you pulls you towards the edge of the counter, your soaking through your panties, skirt bunched around him, "that you want me to fuck you. That you'll let me take you home and do everything I've been dreaming to do to you all night."
The sound of your heart beating is so deafening you can guarantee he can hear it. "Yes," you whimper, begging him with your body to put you out of your misery and kiss you.
"Then," he takes a step back, lowering your skirts, "what do we need to do to leave?"
You huff, crossing your arms and withering on the bar top, desperate for any kind of friction. The Bear misses nothing though and quickly steps forward, pulling you off the counter and to your feet. "None of that," he chastises playfully, "the only thing getting you off tonight will be me."
"Hmph," you step out of his arms, crossing your own across your chest. "You won't even kiss me, how do I know it's even worth letting you take me home?"
"I see," he nods, "the little barn needs a taste."
You don't get a chance to ask about the meaning of the word before he has you pinned to the wall, his knee slotted between your skirts and his mouth hot on your own. It's like an inferno, his mouth moving with your own in a complicated waltz only you two knowing the steps. When he lifts his knee, and presses it to your cunt, you gasp, his tongue sliding into your mouth and tangling with your own.
You are lost to everything but him, and when he raises his boot to his toes and rolls his leg up and down you quickly grasp onto his shoulders, his forehead pressed to your own. You close your eyes and rock your hips, being held completely off the ground by his tree trunk of a thigh.
"That's it," he praises, holding onto your hips and helping you move back and forth on his thigh. "Your bear is hungry," he latches his lips onto your neck when your head drops back against the wall. "Hmm," he groans, sucking and leaving bites along your neck, "I want you to cum," he whispers in your ear, sucking your earlobe between his lips. "Then I'm gonna take you home and lick that pretty pussy clean until you make a mess all over my face, again."
The combination of the filth rolling off his tongue and the strong thigh beneath you, working together with his hands on your waist is all too much. You grab him around the neck with one arm and the other hand is on his arm and you pull yourself up and down with a small cry and a whimper of his name as you fall apart beneath his skilled fingers.
Your breath is loud in the silence of the pub and you both still as he slowly lowers you to the ground. The legs you stand on are wobbly and he quickly reaches out an arm to steady you. "Are you alright, my darling?" he asks softly, running a hand over your face, and smiling when you nod. "You were so beautiful," he marvels, "if that's how gorgeous you look cumming on my thigh. You will rival the gods when you cum on my cock."
"Lassen," you whimper his name and he closes his eyes and controls his breathing.
"Please, call me Anders," he begs, slowly opening his eyes and taking a step back, "what do we need to do to finish?"
"Nothing," you shake your head, turning to reach over the bar for your purse, "I'm opening the bar tomorrow at 11, I'll come in early and finish it."
"We should finish it now," he argues gently, holding up a hand to interrupt you, "trust me."
"Why?"
"Because I don't think you're going to make it in tomorrow." You eyes widen and you go to ask the question when he offers the answer, "you'll be lucky to walk tomorrow when I'm through with you."
The two of you make quick work of the closing tasks and after making a quick call to your boss about covering for the next day you both finally leave the pub. The London air is chilly and you pull your threadbare coat tighter around your body, locking the door behind you. A couple passes when you turn and you sigh looking at the womans fine coat and gloves, a girl could dream.
A heavy weight drops across your shoulders, the scent of tobacco and leather heady as you snuggle into the warmth. "Let's get you home," Anders, reaches an arm around you and you turn towards home. If it wasn't for the spend dripping down your thighs, you'd think it was just an evening stroll between a couple. You'd always wish you had a man to meet you after work and walk you home. Someone to make sure you made it home safe.
With Anders arms around you, you could almost pretend. You walked in comfortable silence, the tension from earlier simmering as your pace quickened when your apartment came into view. You took the steps two at a time, and before long you stood before the door.
You shrug off his coat and hand it to him before reaching into your purse for your keys. The room is dark and you move around the room, turning on lamps and hanging up your coat. The deadbolt is deafening and when you turn to look towards the door, your jaw drops.
The whole thing happens in slow motion, his eyes on you the whole time. He’s wearing suspenders and he lowers each side till their hanging at his waist. His hands are slow, methodical, as he unbuttons each button of his shirt. Your own hands mirroring his actions as you slip the buttons of your shirt in time with each of his. He tugs the shirt off and your mouth waters. His chest is a canvas of scars, and for a second he looks unsure as you step forward, hand reaching out to trace the long one across his abdomen.
“How did that happen?” you ask, whispering. He tells you everything, your hand tracing each and every scar before going over them with your lips.
When you’ve finished tracing your tongue across the last scar, a bullet he received two years ago protecting a child does he find his voice. “You’re not disgusted?”
“My handsome Bear,” you cradle his face, “these scars are the canvas of your life. The life you’ve fought so hard to live. I could never be disgusted.”
He lets out a shallow breath before nodding, “Thank you.”
“No,” you hold a finger to his lips, “no thank you are necessary. It is I who should be thanking you.” You trace your hand down his abdomen and reach for his belt, holding his gaze when you begin to open his pants and lower the zipper, dropping to your knees and licking your lips as you work the pants down his legs.
His cock is magnificent, and you are pleased to know he really is that large, everywhere. “Fuck,” you mumble, wondering for a moment how you’ll even manage to get him in your mouth let alone your pussy. He’s silent, watching you and he steps out of his pants, tossing them and his shoes into the corner and standing before you completely naked.
You reach for his cock and give it a tentative stroke, your hand not even encompassing half his size, mouth salivating at the dribble of pre-cum pooling at the end. You stick out your tongue and lick the end of his cock, moaning softly at the salty taste. “Fan, gör det igen älskling,” he moans head dropping back and you feel encouraged by the broken way he just sounded.
Your jaw strains from the stretch but you manage to slide about half of him down your throat before you hit the back. Your panties drip onto the floor, when you pull him back out and in, lubricating the rest so your hands can slide in time with your mouth. You want to touch your pussy so bad, it’s throbbing but his moans of pleasure are enough to get you off. He leans down, putting one of his hands on your head and guiding you deeper, gagging on his cock.
Anders looks down, his mouth dropped open on a moan, watching the saliva drip down your chin and splash like raindrops on your exposed breasts. He wants to lick them, open his mouth wide and suck each gorgeous globe between his lips, teasing your nipple with his tongue. But right now he’s lost to the way you look at him. Tears streaming down your chin as you attempt to take him deeper and deeper with each thrust of his hips, he’s so fucking close and he wants to cum inside your mouth, watch your mouth fill with the white creamy cum and see your throat bob as your swallow down his load.
“I’m gonna cum,” he warns, holding your head still and listening to your gag as he cums down your throat with a loud groan of your name. It’s as beautiful as he thought when he pulls out and watches you gasp, hands on his thighs as you try to catch your breath, his cum all over your lips until you lick them clean with a grin.
Anders reaches a hand out, pulling you up and quickly disposing of the rest of your clothes. He doesn’t bother with your bra straps, the fabric ripping and tossed in the corner before he’s tossing you over his shoulder and heading for the bedroom. You let out a loud squeal but he silences you when he fondles your ass, giving it a sharp slap.
He tries three doors before he finds the bedroom, and tosses you onto the bed - tits bouncing with the force. “Spread your legs for me, darling,” he drops to his knees and crawls up the bed, nestling himself between your thighs. “Let me see that messy cunt.” He lifts one of your legs and rests it on his shoulder, spreading you wide, and running a thick finger between your folds. “Hmm,” he hums happily, spreading your wetness all over your folds.
Anders leans forward and you reach down, grabbing his hair with one hand, the other quickly reaching behind you for the pillow when he licks at your clit. Almost like a kitten licking a bowl of milk, he hums, the vibrations traveling up your body and you wither, groaning when he lifts his other arm and rests it across your stomach keeping you still.
That’s when everything changes. Gone is the kitten and the bear comes out to play. He devours you, his nose dragging through your slit and he tongue following, playing with your clit like the expert marksman you assume he is.
“Anders,” you try to rock your hips and he lets up with his grip, letting you ride his face.
He pulls up for air, watching mesmerized as your hips lift trying to follow his mouth. You halt when he spits on your pussy, the sound lewd and loud your leg rising as he lifts one of his arms and puts it between you. You arch off the bed on a gasp when he slides two of his thick fingers inside you.
You grasp the arm at your waist in an iron grip, moving your hips up and down. He curls his fingers and you see stars. “Fuck!” He leans down, sucking your clit back into his mouth and moving his tongue back and forth. The slight stubble leaves a delicious burn that aches. “I’m gonna-“ you pant, struggling to get the words out before you feel the pressure build and explode soaking his fingers. He doesn’t lose momentum, riding your high out until you’re pushing his face away.
He crawls up your body and rests his body gently on your own. He rests his head on your chest, like he did on his arms back at the bar, grinning.
“You look quite pleased with yourself,” you run your fingers through his hair, his head tilting to rest more into your hand.
“I am,” he smiles, “to have a beautiful woman fall apart on my tongue is a blissful thing.”
“You must have had many women to have such skill.” The idea leaves a sour feeling in your stomach and your hand falls back to your chest but he quickly moves his head beneath your hand to encourage your touch.
“I haven’t,” his words surprise you and you meet his eyes to see them already upon you. “Been with many women that is. Just two.” You’re unsure if you believe him, but he places a kiss between your breasts and moves up your body to gently kiss your lips. His cock grows hard against your belly with each swipe of his tongue against your own. “I want to see you cum again,” he whispers against your lips.
“Then fuck me-“ the words die on your tongue when he lifts your legs and presses them into your stomach, his cock brushing through your folds.
“As you wish,” he grins, pressing just the head inside you. You gasp, tossing your head back as he works himself deeper and deeper inside you with each thrust of his hips.
“Oh god,” you moan, his thumb working your clit as he finally fits himself all the way inside you.
His chuckle has your eyes snapping open to look at him with a tilt of your head and he gives you a wink, “Not god, darling, just me.”
“You assho-” he rocks his hips, pulling back all the way before slamming back in again. You can’t breathe, each stroke of his enormous cock punching the oxygen from your lungs.
You close your eyes, lost in the sensations he brings out, each snap of his hips fills you deeper and deeper, and you’re sure you can feel him poking out of your stomach. The room is otherwise silent besides your panting breath, incoherent mumblings of his name, and the lewd sounds of his cock pumping into your soaked pussy.
“Look at me,” Anders, nudges his head against your own and you slowly open your eyes. “There you are,” he praises, kissing you deeply, “keep your eyes on me, I want to see you cum.”
“An-Anders,” you hold onto both his arms and look between you, seeing him disappear inside you with each movement of his massive body. The pressure in your belly builds like a volcano bound to explode and he sees it, moving his hips quicker and chasing your release with his own.
“Cum for me, darling,” he commands, his accent strong, “cum now.” You obey, arching your chest up into him and letting out a loud moan, squeezing around his cock so tight. “Shit,” he groans, flooding you with his release. It’s hot and thick and you can feel it drip down your thighs, leaving them sticky.
He stays buried deep inside you, his massive arms on either side of your head keeping himself upright so he does not crush you. You want to feel his weight on you, feel him keep you there with his body, never let you go. But eventually, he does, but not before kisses are pressed over every inch of your face. He may be a bear in appearance; a fierce fighter that could tear your limb from limb with little thought. But inside hes nothing but a teddy bear, a lover, someone you could easily get attached too.
“Wheres the bathroom?” he asks, sitting up, his eyes fixed on where he’s left a mess licking his lips. You point to the door in the corner and he reluctantly rises. God, he’s a fucking sight, all hard lines and muscles, and with each step away you want to shout for him to return.
He returns quickly with a clothe, wiping you clean and collapsing back into bed. Tugging you into his arms, sleep quickly finds you, his arm rubbing up and down your back and humming a soft swedish lullaby.
By the time you awaken the clock reads 1 pm and the bed is long cold. No note, no sign he was even there besides the two wet towels hanging in the bathroom. You hate how dissapointed you feel at his absence but the ache between your legs from the six additional orgasms since the night before remind you that even if you wished too you couldn’t have gone again. He had to leave eventually.
The shower works out some of the kinks in your muscles but you still move slowly throughout the flat, trying to muster the strength to go into work that evening. While your boss had been accepting of missing the opening shift at the pub you couldn’t get out of closing tonight.
The pub is loud when you arrive and you smile at the other bartender before jumping into the fray and starting to take orders. The night moves quickly luckily despite your melancholy mood, several of the regulars pick up on it; cracking jokes in the hopes of alleviating some of the sadness.
From behind you notice another seat fill at the bar and go to turn, “What can I get-” the words evaporate on your tongue—a great bear of a man filling the bar stool before you. You look at one another, the pub continuing around you like it didn’t know your world was slowly tilting on its axis.
“You,” he puts his arms on the bar top and smiles at you, “I would like to have you.”
“You did,” you cross your arms over your chest, “you left without a word.”
He lifts a bag from the floor and puts it on top of the counter, “I needed to go grab this.”
He’s piqued your curiosity and knows it, grinning like a schoolboy as you uncross your arms and move closer, to pull the bag down and look inside. The contents are ordinary, clothes and an extra pair of shoes, a shaving kit, several knives, and guns. “I don’t understand,” you glance up at him and catch the quick hint of vulnerability.
He clears his throat, “I went to grab my things. So I could come back home.”
“Home?” you feel a tightness in your throat, “and where might that be?”
“I already told you, darling. You. You, are my home.”
“We hardly know one another,” the first tear slips down your cheek and he stands leaning over the bar to brush it away. “You could be a madman for all I know, a brute, a beast.”
He holds a hand to his chest, mock offense clear on his face, “I am no such thing. I am a lover, not a fighter. You raise a brow at him, pulling out the large hunting knife from his bag and he grins sheepishly, “Okay, I am a bit of a fighter.”
You stare at him, him watching with bated breath for you to decide if he’s worth this effort. But you know you already decided when you turned around and saw him there. “You’re paying half the rent,” he beams, nodding happily, “and doing the washing and dishes. I won’t be a little housewife doing all the work while you sit around and drink.”
“I can cook,” he stands, coming around the bar, the other patrons watching him curiously, looking between the two of you. “I’m very handy around the house,” he wraps his arms around your waist, your hands falling naturally to his chest. “I make the bed, clean up after myself, and will be your own personal guard dog, darling, no one will ever hurt you. I promise.”
He leans down to kiss you but you pull back, watching the little crease between his brows deepen in confusion. “I don’t want a guard dog,” you whisper to his conspiritorily, “I want a bear.”
His laugh is loud and booming before he nods, “yes, my love, I’ll be your bear.” When he finally presses his lips to yours, the bar erupts in cheers, and for the first time in the long time, you’re exactly where you want to be.

Vlad owned a cookbook.
Keyword, owned.
But you see, it was far from an ordinary cookbook.
It was a bit magical in nature, not on any purpose of Vlad's part, despite being the one to make it. It was created a while after Vlad stopped having an obsession with Maddie and became on somewhat better terms with Jack, in which he decided to entirely ignore one Daniel Fenton.
Instead, he focused on creating the perfect cookbook that has ever graced the mortal plane. Made from the highest leather, the best finest paper and bound together with the best thread he could find.
All helpfully sourced from the Ghost Zone.
Of course, after all of that he had to, well, fill it with recipes.
He had multiple duplicates scouring the internet for various recipes, and since it's for personal use he doesn't have to care for copyright or whatever since it won't be used by anyone but him. While also looking around in the Ghost Zone for specific types of ghosts.
Mostly grannies.
Overtime and with help from his multiple duplicates his cookbook has quickly become filled up, though for some reason there seemed to be an endless number of pages left unfinished, doesn't matter since it's just more space.
Then he started to encounter the spirits of witches, wizards, warlocks, shamans. You get it.
He took recipes from them too, because when he meant this would be the greatest cookbook, he meant it, and what is potion making if not Alchemy, and what is Alchemy if not cooking?
So, after some time, with blood, sweat, and tears being poured into his book with recipes from everywhere and his own personal recipe along with few decorations here and there, making it look less like a common book and more like the prized treasure it truly is, and Vlad's work is finally complete.
The greatest cookbook to ever grace the mortal plane.
He went to sleep happy, woke up the next day happy, used his newfound cookbook happily and was overall having the greatest of times.
He also found out that his cookbook became sentient. Which is nice, because he can just call out a page and it'll flip right through to it, but he doesn't recall how it became sentient.
He's been watching it carefully before completion, and every time it came in contact with ectoplasm it never became sentient like the food the Fentons produce (And yes, living food is indeed within the endless pages of his book), so it maybe had something to do with the more magical recipes contained within.
Not that he cared, really, since it served it's purpose extremely well.
Except, a few months later, with a visit from the Fentons to his mansion, he finds he lost it.
Vlad, predictably, is in shambles.
Is it because his cookbook is a genuine danger to society if in the wrong hands?
No.
Perhaps because contained within its pages are high level alchemical recipes?
No.
Or maybe because there was a recipe to create some kind of potion to kill an immortal, make someone immortal, or reverse death? (Honestly he didn't even remember where he got that one)
Fuck no.
He's in shambles because he didn't even get to use a quarter of the recipes that weren't even his own.
Also, because it's became his technical technically both his son and best friend.
Who does he accuse first?
One Danny Fenton.
Because it only disappeared after Danny came to visit, and while he wouldn't put it past Jack to do something incredibly stupid, the man was nowhere near his book at the time!
Danny, predictably, is not at all amused.
Vlad then pesters him to go out and search for his missing greatest creation and doesn't stop until Danny agrees.
So, now Danny has to find a cookbook that can and probably is a genuine danger to society if someone decides to use the far less than normal recipes.
Also, why the fuck did Vlad even have them??

That Saint Peter fic was so cute! Like really, REALLY cute! Maybe you should consider continuing it? With Reader being redeemed and going to heaven? Maybe they die like Sir Pentious when fighting against Adam and spawn in heaven?
this one kinda flopped in my mind, but I hope it's bearable to read !! enjoy!
cw: gn reader, spoilers of episode 8, a little gore to the reader (reader death),,, uhhh lmk if there's something I missed, not proof-read at ALLL!!
word count: 1.8k
part 1 part 3 part 4
Daylight (Saint Peter x Redeemed!Reader)
The final battle was upon you, flurries of executioners surrounded the hotel. But thankfully due to Alastor’s shield, you alongside your fellow residents were able to kill them, one after one after one.
Your heart was racing, adrenaline pumping through your veins, the stench of the angel’s golden ichor singed your nostrils.
But before you knew it, Sir Pentious had sacrificed himself, immediately being blown to smithereens by Adam’s power. You couldn't stand to watch it, your weaknesses bubbling up as you choked back a sob.. The remaining Egg Boiz, would they be okay? Were they okay? You snuck off to see if any reminder of Sir Pentious was still around, allowing a few stray tears to fall.
Unbeknownst to you, alongside everyone else at the battle site, there was one stray angel, grasping onto their last moments of life, as you called out for the Egg Boiz, you found none of them, cracked eggshells seemed to be everywhere you looked. It grew harder to swallow, there had to be at least one..Right?
Dashing through some rubble your search was about to continue but you felt a sharp pain. You froze in place, looking down, breathing stuttering. Piercing your chest was one of the angel's tridents…Straight through the heart.
“What…?” You weakly spoke, turning with whatever energy you had left to face the angel, a dark smile on their face before they succumbed to their injuries.
It didn't take long for you to fall to your knees, gasping for whatever breath you could find. Your mind was in a panic. This couldn't be it. You can't die alone, you never even got to tell Charlie or the others goodbye.
Silent tears streamed down your cheeks. At least you tried your best. Right?
People in life always lied when they said death was painless, your first one sure as Hell wasn't, and neither was this one. You guess it's just their way of dwelling the fear of inevitable death, if only they knew.
A warm heat overtook your senses as brightness enveloped your vision.
What?
Looking around you saw the two Serafim you met a few months back and…Sir Pentious?
Holy shit. Holy fucking shit it worked!
Redemption worked! Charlie's a fucking genius.
Sir Pentious called your name in surprise, “You're here too? Oh no, that must mean.. Did Adam get you too?”
“I.. Pentious..” You were utterly speechless, but so were Sera and Emily. Not one but two sinners redeemed in such a small period of time. Perhaps they really did underestimate Charlie’s ability to fulfil her dream.
After relaying what happened to you after Pentious died, the Serafim discussed how to assimilate to your new lives, Emily in particular helped the two of you get situated.
And within enough time, you were ready to start your second afterlife.
It took you a few days to get yourself situated, too busy dwelling and moping about, lost in thought about your old life. You wondered how long it took everyone down in Hell to notice you had died, if they even felt sad, or even remorse. But you couldn't live in this rut for the rest of your afterlife, you were in Heaven now, everything screamed optimism and positivity. You had to get out there and mingle, make new friends. With a huff, you made yourself presentable before leaving your new home.
Wandering the streets, you heard whispers,
“Has anyone seen Adam recently?”
“No seriously, it's been a little too quiet around here.”
“Forget him, did you see how battered up Lute was? Missing an arm and everything!”
Well that was certainly interesting information, it filled you with a sense of pride. Charlie must've won! Adam had to be dead, but Lute survived? Probably at the hands of Vaggie, you thought.
Before you knew it, you were somewhere familiar, the plaza. Not only that, the ice cream parlour you went to with Saint Peter was just across the street.
Your eyes widened. Wait.. Saint Peter! You hadn't seen him yet since your arrival, a fault on your behalf but still, you had to find him. Would he be pissed that you were here, or happy?
Approaching some friendly looking angels you asked, “Excuse me! Have you seen Saint Peter around?” Voice wavering in anxiousness.
“Hmm? Oh Peter? Oh about this time he should still be at his post but should be taking a break in liiiike five mins or something so if you wanna wait for him by the gates, go ahead!” One angel replied, grinning.
“Thank you so much!” You quickly turned on your heel, heading in the direction of the gates, hearing a small comment from the other angel,
“I woulda thought they would've been looking for a loved one, not Peter of all people. Weird. OW! Hey, I'm just saying!!”
That angel was correct, by the time you made it to the gates -a little out of breath from the speed you were walking- Peter was heading inside for his break.
He was humming to himself but halted as he set eyes upon your new form.
He called out your name, “What.. What are you doing here? If you were visiting you should've come through the gates like you did last time. Besides what's with this new outfit? Looks gorgeous on you, but it looks as though you're cosplaying an angel!....Ooohhh” The realisation of the situation just slapped him in the face. Hard.
Approaching you and holding your face in his hands, he took a real good look at you, causing a blush to spread across your cheeks from the sudden contact.
“Haha.. Hi Peter. Um, guess it happened I got redeemed..? All it took was me dying..again.”
He releases his grasp on your face, eyebrow quirked. You pouted from the loss of contact before meeting his concerned gaze. “But!! It's nothing to worry about! Haha.. Just.. A surprise attack from an exterminator. I guess all that hard work in the hotel came in handy, huh?”
Peter's look of concern refused to falter throughout your explanation, his eyebrows furrowed, almost as if he was lost in thought.
“Y’know, once you left last time there were all sorts of rumours about exterminations and Adam being heavily involved. I refused to believe they were true, why would my fellow angels do such a thing but… I suppose it was true all along. Oh, dear I'm so sorry..” His peppy attitude seemed to completely fade as he spoke, you felt guilty for even unloading it at him, seeing the angel upset made your heart pang.
“But,” He continued, a hand coming up to caress your cheek, “at least that redemption worked, I knew I could believe in you. I'm so proud!” You leaned into his touch, who knows how long it had been since you were treated as if you were a porcelain doll, so fragile, so tender.
“Thank you.. Really. I think your belief in me when we first met really helped.. In fact, the thought of you brought me great guidance in rough times, but that's embarrassing to admit..” You nervously laughed. The stars in Peter's eyes as you spoke didn't go unnoticed.
You had gathered from your initial meeting that Peter wasn't typically the one to be on the receiving end of attention, let alone compliments. After all, you were the first being to have asked his name at the gates.
“Also,” You continued, “It probably looks pretty strange to others just seeing us chat just outside your post, c’mon, let's go get some ice cream like last time, my treat this time okay?” With that you took his hand and started heading back towards the plaza.
Peter stared at where your hands connected, uncharacteristically quiet.
Truth was, ever since your meeting, he had hoped and wished for you to show up at the gate again, for another meeting, being redeemed or even just to see him. Logistically, he knew it was impossible for that last option, you didn't have the ability to open the portals between the two worlds, but a part of him hoped that you would just appear before him one day.
And you finally did, despite his earlier ramblings, Peter felt almost shell shocked, he dreamt of the two of you meeting again, but now it was finally happening, all rational thinking had left his mind.
After you had left the ice cream parlour to go to the Serafim meeting, some angels approached Peter with demeaning questions.
'Why were you being so friendly to a sinner? You know they're down in Hell for a reason.'
'They were probably feeding you lies and sob stories weren't they?'
'Don't let them get to you, Saint Peter, we can't have you falling.'
But falling he did, not in the sense of turning to a life of sin, how could he ever? Without your knowledge, you had the Keeper of the Key wrapped around your finger.
Before he even realised, the two of you had made it to the parlour, feeling a small sense of dĂŠjĂ  vu.
The two of you ordered and took your seats, everything seemed to be identical to your first meeting, and your conversations were as fluid as thought, almost as if the two had known one another for your entire existence(s).
What you found was that Saint Peter’s life seemed rather monotonous, yet he still managed to keep such a peppy attitude, guess that's how he became an angel in the first place, a lust for life.
Saint Peter’s break came and went in the blink of an eye. It almost disappointed you when he spoke about heading back to work. Did this moment ever have to end? You wondered to yourself.
Being the kindred spirit you were, you walked him back to the gates, fingertips occasionally brushing one another, but it didn't feel awkward. No, in fact it felt natural, as if there was some sort of invisible string pulling the two of you together.
“Do you have to go?” You spoke softly once the two of you reached the gates.
“You know I have to, besides, it's not like it's our presumed last meeting like last time, right?” He chuckled.
“Yeah.. I suppose so, we could see each other every day if we so wanted.” You smiled, not noticing the gap between the two of you closing.
Tentatively, he pressed his lips to yours. You could feel your heart flutter, it felt like one of those romantic kisses in a fairytale despite only lasting a few seconds. The kiss was filled with the warmth of a thousand suns embracing you in a tender hug.
"Peter.." You gasped out, face growing red as he pulled away.
"That wasn't too much was it? Ahhh sorry!" He panicked, but before he could sputter any more apologies, you pressed your lips to his, a chaste one, just to quiet him down.
“I'll see you once your shift is finished, okay?”
Peter’s mind was spinning, he could only nod pathetically, causing you to giggle. If his pupils could turn to hearts they would.
You turned on your heel, waving a little goodbye to him. “See you soon, Peter!”
“See you…”
Needless to say, Saint Peter’s mind was quite occupied for the rest of the day, causing many frustrations amongst the newcomers.

Background Check
NSFW.
Konig x Reader
141 becomes suspicious of KĂśnig, Soap & Ghost are sent to find out why he rushes off so often. They find out why.
Tumblr media
KĂśnig wasn't stupid.
Anxious at times, yea.
Maybe a little fidgety, sure.
But he wasn't stupid.
He heard the whispers,
partially closed doors.
He knew they were suspicious of him.
Why else would he be soo keen to be taking off leave as much as possible?
Leave as soon as possible.
Get the fuck out of dodge.
His background.
Who he was.
Maybe they even suspected he was the rat.
He wasn't.
But he'd be damned if he let them get off scot-free.
They invaded his personal life.
Found his home.
Found his wife.
There was a reason he tried to keep his life as far away from work as possible. When the veil would be cast aside and he could bathe in the love of the woman he cared about.
He wasn't stupid.
Sometimes Soap was.
Is.
However, he'd like to phrase it in his mind.
Maybe he forgot how tall he was. That when he glanced over, figure looming over the other man, he was able to see the message sent out, tasking none other than Ghost and Soap to go out on a hush-hush recon to see who exactly this KĂśnig man was.
What was he hiding?
He was hiding you.
...
It was always exciting for KĂśnig to be coming home, even if it was only for a week.
But it was going to be a week that you'd have him all to yourself.
You'd gone grocery shopping, and you had a plan.
Not really a plan, it was more of a ritual.
He'd finally come back after however many days, and the two of you would hole up until you absolutely needed to go out and get something.
You lived in a pretty little cabin with big windows.
That was a must.
You loved to sit in your living room with the fireplace and stare out the huge windows that cascaded from floor to ceiling, staring out at the forest in front of you.
But the bathroom?
Oh it was heavenly.
KĂśnig required much larger facilities, including a shower.
Not only that, but after you asked ever so nicely he got you a big tub as an anniversary present.
One big enough for the two of you.
You've lost count of how many times the two of you ended up relaxing in the tub together. The cold outside air encouraged each other into the arms of the other, tangled up into a mess of bodies. On other nights, the two of you would lay still, enjoying the relaxing heat and even seeing some wildlife prance across the dewy grass.
When he wasn't jabbering, he was a very quiet and observant man. You'd scolded him about it before, even with his large size he'd trained himself in stealth. His subconscious steps feather light giving him more and more opportunities to scare you out of your skin.
So any time he was in the room he'd step extra loud, or hum, or say something just to alert you of his presence before his arm would snake around your middle and pull you close.
Really, you appreciated it.
Maus, he'd call you. Gaining your attention as you'd turn your head over to give him a glance.
"Hm?" You'd ask, even if you recognized that tone in his voice, you wouldn't acknowledge it.
You'd make him work for it.
He knew you liked to play hard to get.
That was part of the fun, wasn't it?
Once he called you back into the living area, to climb onto the large couch and to climb under the blanket with him would he start lowering his head down, kissing everywhere on your upper body but your lips.
Whining in irritation- frustration maybe? Were they not the same thing? You had grabbed ahold of his hand, bringing one of his large fingers up to push against your plush lips as you flicked your tongue out, licking up the base of it and sucking it into your mouth.
Groaning, his head would fall back against the couch.
You'd never tell him how much you loved to look up at his face like this, it would embarrass him to no end- loving something he was so insecure over. From this angle you could see perfectly just the little twist in his nose- off to the side. No doubt broken in combat, but it just added that extra flair that made KĂśnig who he was.
Yours.
Pulling his finger from your mouth, he'd trail it down your top, trying to slip it under the band of your sweatpants and into your core.
Stopping him, you guided his wrist up and over his head, leaning up and grabbing his other arm that was lazily draped onto the couch and pining his arms above his head.
You'd never really be able to hold him down, you both knew that. But there was something specifically grounding of feeling both of your small hands wrapped around his wrists, pushing him down into the soft cushion of the sofa.
Letting go of his hands, you shimmied backward and pulled your sweats down, leaving yourself only in your panties as you there a leg over his chest and ever so slightly rubbed your clothes heat against the rippling expanse of his torso.
His hands left their post, above his head on the couch to grab your thighs and pull you closer to him, mouth opening and exhaling harshly as his mouth cupped over the expanse of your clothed cunt.
"Did I say you could yet?" You scolded lightly, and he shook his head in response.
His hands let up, allowing you to slide backward off of his chin and back onto his chest, hands lacing in with his as you leaned forward.
"How bad do you want it?" You asked grin plastered on your features.
"So bad, Maus." He exhaled out, eyes dilated as he looked up at your face, tinted pink with arousal.
"That's not very convincing." You pouted.
"Then let me convince you." He groaned, hands unlacing from yours grabbing you by the ass and pushing you forward, a long finger hooking your panties to the side as he pulled you up to sit on his face.
He groaned when his tongue came into contact, licking and sucking- biting on the side of your thighs until you thought you were going to melt into the floor, turning into a puddle to be mopped up later.
His arm shot up, slipping under your shirt until his hand poked through the neckline where his hand opened and deliciously wrapped around your neck.
He didn't squeeze, he just allowed you to rest your body weight into it, and additional support to your body sitting straight up and onto his face. Whenever you'd lean forward trying to escape his grasp, his hand around your throat would apply just enough pressure to make the surroundings feel fuzzy.
Ebbing on that feeling of pleasure drunkening your mind.
It was intoxicating really, the long laps of his tongue eating as if he were a man starved, deprived of it all until he was borderline insane. Devouring as if he'd never eat again.
Rocking your hips back and forth, finding that perfect rhythm where your thighs would tense up, pushing into his ears and squeezing his head together as if you were trying to pop it.
It was wet,
sloppy,
foul sounding even.
You were glad you had no neighbors.
You can't imagine having to bare the walk of shame from bringing up groceries with the man tailing behind you to your flat, old woman down the hall peeking out the door to find the mountain of a man who was the cause of the filthy moans and curses late into the night.
Your body shook, stuttering in place and trying to push off your knees to relieve the pressure from his tongue on your clit. His fingers dug into your neck, pulling your body back down onto his mouth as he picked up the pace, throwing you right over the edge into overstimulation.
"Hah- Please- fuck... Too much!" You whined out, hand gripping his hair and tugging his head to the side.
His mouth detached from your pussy with a wet sucking sound, making that fluttering feeling inside you spur off into a frenzy.
He let out a snicker, lip curling up to show that deathly sharp canine he found too much joy in biting down onto the soft parts of your body.
"But Shatz, you taste so good." He said, letting go of your neck and pulling you down to lay on him.
"Hmmm." you replied, setting your head in the crook of his neck.
You glanced at him, and saw him staring out the window, deep into the dark forest.
"What's wrong?" You asked, looking at him for any hint of concern in his gaze.
"Ah. Not anything to worry of Shatz."
You'd take his word for it.
The two of you would lay there for some time, listening to the sounds of each other breathing while the background noise of a movie filled the room.
"Mm.. Let's take a bath..." You leaned forward, whispering into his ear before biting the edge of it ever so lightly. Just enough in the way you knew if drove him mad.
He laughed.
One of those downright evil,
scheming laughs.
The one that made your cunt tighten because you knew just how much you were in for it.
He stood, arms wrapping under your bottom and pulling you up with him as he made quick strides to the glass door that led out onto the back patio that had the large tub. Setting you down next to the tub and quickly starting to tug off any remaining clothing that you had clug to your body.
"Wait- slow down a little." You laughed out softly, reaching a hand up and cupping his jaw stilling his movements. "What's got you all riled up sweetheart?"
"I want you to be loud, Shatz." He leaned in, whispering into your ear.
"Yea? Why's what?" You smiled up at him, kissing the bottom of his chin.
"I want you to tell the world your mine with those sweet little noises you make."
You laughed lightly- nervously, but it died in your throat as you stared up at him.
There was a dark glint in his eyes, the one that barely lingers when he's first walking through the door.
It was feral.
It was pretty hot.
He turned, leaving you for a moment to be surrounded by the cold air of the night. No longer having the body heat he projected everywhere he went filling your space.
You'd protest, but the sound of the knob to the bath turning and the unmistakable sound of water pouring into the tub created white noise.
You turned to him, sucking on your teeth as you grabbed a bottle full of scented soap, pouring it into the cascading water and watching as bubbles started to form in the tub.
Reaching out to him, you grabbed at the hem of his pants, tugging on them. He snickered slightly grabbing the belt and undoing it, then pushing his pants and boxers to the floor.
He stepped into the bath, sitting on the back ledge where various candles and glass containers held salts, soups, lotions, and other various collections of your own you'd use.
His thighs flexed and he stared you down with a hungry, dark look. You could feel heat rising to your cheeks as you stepped into the bath, kneeling down as the water continued to fill around you. Leaning forward, you placed a hand on his thigh and continued to bring your face closer to his crotch. Grabbing hold of his cock, hand wrapping around the girth of it as you enjoyed its weight in your hand.
You loved the outdoor tub, you'd sit out here some nights, staring out into the forest. One night a doe had even pranced it way through the lawn while you sat and soaked.
It was bliss.
You flicked your tongue out, collecting the shiny clear bead of precum dribbled from the tip of his cock, licking it up and savoring the salty taste on your tongue.
"Stop teasing, Schatz." He said, hand placing on your shoulder.
It was a warning.
You looked up at him, giving your best innocent doe eyes as you took the head of his cock into your mouth, sucking and flicking your tongue around the head.
He grumbled something, tossing his head back as his muscles flexed. Hand on your shoulder creeping into your hair as you started to bob your head on his cock.
You could feel his cock brush the back of your throat, slightly adjusting your head to continue to take him further, down until you could feel the brush of his hair against your nose.
"So good to me." He praised, a finger brushing against your hollowed-out cheeks as you continued to take his length down your throat.
Eventually, pulling back and let out a gasp as a long string of thickened saliva bridged from your mouth to the head of his cock.
"Did I say stop?" He asked lightly.
"It's gonna overflow." You laughed, turning around and shutting off the faucet. The look on his face proved your point of him forgetting about the hot running water behind you- tub dangerously close to the edge.
He leaned forward, dipping his lower body into the water until he was sat up to his chest, nipples hovering over the steamy water.
Pushing forward, you climbed into his lap and pushed your chest to his, connecting mouths and sighing into each other, hands slowly exploring and enjoying as the hot water melted away the day's tensions.
He pulled your back onto his chest, snaking a hand around your tummy and dipping it down into your core, a large finger breaching your hole and pumping into you with his thumb teasing your clit while his second hand toyed with your tits.
Your back arched onto his chest, a moan escaping your lips as he continued his onslaught of toying and teasing for what felt like an eternity.
"Fuck me- Stop teasing me." You whined hand grabbing his wrist close to your cunt and giving it a squeeze.
"You want me to fuck you, Schatz?"
"Yes." You moaned.
"Fill my pretty wife full of cum?" He leaned forward, shifting your position as the water sloshed, throwing gallons over the edge.
"Please." You whined.
His hand left your tit and reached up to your jaw, hand easily covering the expanse of it and ring finger reaching up and pulling your mouth wide open. His finger pushed down on your tongue, causing your head to pull down as you felt him move behind you.
Your only retaliation?
Wiggling your hips.
He grunted, bringing a hand down and harshly slapping it on your ass leaving a large red handprint embellishing your skin. He lifted a knee, planting his foot beside you and he trusted upward, pushing his cock into your core.
With his finger forcing your mouth open, the mouth that would normally be reserved, held in by your lips to live in your throat came out breaking the white noise of sloshing water and his pants.
"Braves Mädchen." He praises, snapping his hips forward sending more water sloshing forward.
Keeping his hand in your mouth, a hand slithered down and brushed against your clit as his pace picked up, sending you up and above the clouds, looking down upon the scene as if you were an angel.
You moaned again, whatever words spilling from your mouth coming out messy and in no way understandable. You could feel your walls fluttering with the combined attention on your clit and the oh-so-filling stretch of his cock in your tight cunt.
You choke out a whine and he lifts your hips, pressing himself impossibly deeper into you and he continues his ruthless onslaught.
You could feel a flutter in your gut, the tight cord pulled it its limit.
"Going to cum, Shatz?" He sneered out, that ruthless, demeaning tone as he pressed exceptionally hard against your clit with his rough calloused finger.
You could only whine in response as the motions set in action came to a head all at once.
It was as if white stars danced into your vision, everything in your body seized, tightening while he continued to fuck into you, up until you could feel his hips stutter, that bruisingly strong grip on your hip that you knew would leave little fingerprint bruises in the morning.
His hand left your jaw, turning you around and pulling you close to his chest.
"Ich liebe dich." He mumbled into your hair.
"Ich liebe dich mehr." You replied to him, clinging to his chilled skin as the two of you sunk back down into the heavily depleted water.
He had helped you from the bath, grabbed you a towel, and carried you inside, setting you down on your bed while he walked out to collect his things and drain the tub.
He wouldn't normally clean up, no. But this time he wanted to make sure to emphasize what he wanted to say.
Pulling the band of his sweatpants as his bare feet came into contact with the cold wet wood of the back deck, looking out into the thicket of trees and brush he saw the glint of glass.
A scope.
He grinned, one of the sick, wicked grins no one would see with the veil covering his face on the battlefield. He wasn't scared, he knew exactly who was out there.
If they wanted to know why he rushed home so badly, he'd let them know.
"Hoffe es hat euch gefallen!" He called out.

RealAge AU Drabble - Parentalbond Dust
I am back :3 Another drabble for the RealAge AU (Thanks @spotaus as always for starting this treat by treating me to the first prompt that got this ball rolling)
First drabble Prev drabble Next drabble
Remember how in the last drabble I uploaded i mentioned those parentalbonds? (honestly if you read my drabbles in order these before things won't make ANY kind of sense... anyway!)
I had been thinking about how all of them bond with they new tiny boss and finally settles on how. The question then was. Who goes first?
I decided to go in order of who bonded with Nightmare first :3
So, big surprise. Dust. (everyone was surprised by this)
Warnings as always, unedited and unbeta'ed. We are here for a good and fun time.
Slight warning for Ghost/hallucination Papyrus being rude and mean and intrusive thoughts.
------------
Dust can admit that Nightmare is fast. Dust is just faster, by a lot.
As soon as Nightmare shifts Dust has an arm around him and drags him back to his side.
Nightmare glares at him, and it would have been terrifying and effective.
If Nightmare wasn't tiny.
Fuck DUst is still not over how TINY his boss is now.
Can Dust even still call him boss? That would be weird. Kiler tends to call Nightmare Tiny Boss now but Dust isn't quite set on a name yet.
Nightmare grumbles nad glares to the side once it becomes clear once again that Dust isn't going to get intimidated.
Nightmare glances at him before crossing his arms as he looks to the side "This is stupid."
Dust nods "I agree." Dust did not want to be here just watching Nightmare and keeping him from wandering and getting lost.
A cackle and then a whisper Really? First kidnaping and now keeping him a prisoner? How low you have sunk. Keeping a child captured and locked away.
Dust's hand forms a fist as he tries to ignore the muttering. They just need Nightmare to see he can trust them. That is all. That takes time. The chackle just chackles on.
Nightmare shoots him a look "It is stupid. I don't need supervision. I am fine on my own."
Dust goes to nod before blinking and shooting him a look "Yeah no. Nice try. I am staying right here."
Nightmare looks beyond annoyed but it is justified that one of them watches over him. Mostly because Nightmare had already managed to almost escape three times.
Look, it has been an hectic week since they euh... found Nightmare again.
Even more laughter that no one else hears Oh? That is what you call it now? That is what you call stalking a child? Following him everywhere? Finding out where he feels safest and surprising him there? Hah! Found! You are a liar and you even lie to yourself.
Dust glares harder at the dark wall as he pulls his knees up and leans on those as he watches the wall, still being a physical barrier between Nightmare and the door.
Nightmare glares at him but Dust just keeps glaring at the shedwall. Waiting. Hoping one of the others will come to relieve him of this babysitting duty. He hates it. He feels useless and stuck.
A huff Wow? Really? You decided to capture him and now you are annoyed you have to watch your prisoner? And even better the one you captured was the one to save you before? You really are thankless and impossible to please. You will never be happy or content and you don't deserve to feel other of those things.
Dust takes another deep breath. He needs a distraction. But what?!
Dust takes out his phone and scrolls through what he has on there. He sees a few movies and gets an idea.
He needs to wait while the others get supplies anyway. Cross is getting information about the multiverse, Horror is getting them food and Killer is getting them overall supplies.
Which means they should still be busy for a while.
Dust pauses as he shoots Nightmare a look. Nightmare had just been sitting there staring at his own feet as he wiggles his feet a bit. Distracted for a bit.
Dust grins as he reaches for Nightmare and quickly grabs him.
Nightmare immediantly freezes for a moment before glaring "What?!"
Dust grins and just turns him around and his old hoody that Nightmare had taken and stolen ages ago. and as Nightmare has his arms crossed he puts the hoody on him. He yelps but Dust doens't give him time to try and get his arms in the right sleeves. Instead Dust ties those together.
He thinks for a moment before grabbing his scarf and using that to tie up the slippery skeleton.
Dust takes a step back to watch his handy work and can't help but snort.
Nightmare looks shocked down at his state. The hoody already making it harder for him to move and now the scarf kept him even more from moving. The problem was. With Nightmare just being tiny and looking like a babybones... He looks plainly adorable. Fuck Dust kinda wished he had made a bow instead of a knot but he has a mission.
Dust nods and looks at Nightmare "Don't move. I am going to grab some food." He turns and leaves the shed.
It should take Nightmare at least a little while to escape that situation. And Nightmare hadn't tried another teleport after he butchered the last one and got them all thrown into a river. Which means that Dust doubts he will try another one soon.
Dust follows the road and by memory finds the pizza place they walked by not too long ago. He only has to wait for a little while before a delivery boy goes by on bike. He kicks off the guy and snatches the bag. Dust is already in the bushes again before the human has time to form a completely sentence.
Dust has to take a bit of a longer way back to make sure he doesn't go over the road. But as he cuts through backyards and gardens he can't help but feel a bit anxious. What if Nightmare escapes? How is he going to explain that.
By the time he is by the shed again he is close to shaking. He opens it and snorts as Nightmare seems to have fallen over. Less funny is the fact he has almost wiggled his way out of his trappings.
Dust puts the bag to the side and silently joins Nightmare's side "And? Is it working?"
Nightmare freezes before a mutter "I hate you."
That.
Dust isn't sure how to explain how much that hurts.
A sneer Really? Are your poor feelings hurt? By just that? What? Are you sad your so-called boss finally hates you? After all the disappointment and betrayal? And yet you feel sad? You truly are nothing but disgusting and disapointing trash.
Dust ignores it as he pulls Nightmare back upright and undoes the scarf binding and unknots the sleeves. Dust has already helped Nightmare with getting on of his arms into the right sleeve before Dust realises what he is doing.
Dust freezes and Nightmare ignores him as he quickly finishes dressing himself. After which Nightmare glances at him with an expecting look.
Dust instead just sits down on his spot on the ground. Opens the bag and fishes out the food. Oh nice. two pizzas instead of one. He lays both open near him before spotting some weird shake things, three of them. Dust shrugs again and places them near them. Next he grabs Nightmare again and pulls him right by his side as he opens his phone and scrolls through the movies.
Dust very quickly realises he deosn't really have movies without a high rating on his phone.Dust isn't even sure how far Nightmare's mind is at the moment.
Dust knows that Nightmare knows who they are. But Dust doens't know how old Nightmare is mentally at the moment. It isn't like Nightmare is sharing any of that information with them at the moment but Dust thinks he is at least a child again. He just also still has his adult form's memories and that is causing a bit of a disconnect.
Dust sighs and looks at Nightmare "Do you like horror movies?"
Nightmare shoots him a suspicious look before answering "I don't dislike them. They can be..." a frown as Ngihtmare thinks for a while before answering with some difficulty "interesting."
That was another thing that is slightly adorable. Nightmare is trying to still speak like he used to before but it seems that some of his knowledge has disappeared after regaining his true body.
Dust nods as he puts on the horror movie. It is one he thinks is okay even after seeing it four times. And only one of those four was because Dust had wanted to watch it.
He presses play and the movie starts.
Nightmare at first tries to keep his distance but it is a matter of time before he is focussed fully on the movie.
Dust grabs some food and eats it. He makes sure it push some towards Nightmare including one of the drinks.
The movie plays and they watch as some dude bro guy walks through the froest. Shouting about how he isn't scared and to come get him!
"... Why?"
Dust blinks and looks at Nightmare. Nightmare stares at him.
Dust looks back at his phone and the now paused movie "Why the guy is screaming? Mostly he is stupid?"
Nightmare frowns beofre looking away "No. I mean... Why.... this?"
Dust looks at the pizza and his phone "I just wanted to watch a movie?"
More frustration on Nightmare's face before he sighs. He then just looks back at the phone with a resigned expression. "okay."
Dust hates that. No. That isn't right. Nightmare doesn't give up and certainly doesn't give up getting answers to questions he has. Dust doesn't press play and looks at Nightmare "What why?"
Ngihtmare glances to the side. To all their things. "You don't... want to be here... with me. Why..."
Dust frowns "I told you? To make sure you don't escape."
More frustration on that tiny face and Ngihtmare looks away "it's not..." another sigh "whatever. When will you kill me?"
dead silence.
Dust turns sharply "What?!"
Nightmare shrugs "I figured... I wanne know."
Dust stares at Nightmare "What the hell? No we don't want you dead?! Why would we go out of our way to find you just to hurt and kill you?!"
Nightmare sits very still before shrugging again "it is the normal thing... normally."
The book. The fucking story. Fuck! He is a fucking idiot!
Nightmare is a child again! Nightmare is in the middle of his fucking trauma! To him the trauma happened days ago! Of course he thinks they would hurt him. That is what always happens.
How long has Nightmare thought that was the only reason anyone ever came to him? How long had a six year old have to fear the sound of someone approaching.
Dust looks away "We... aren't going to kill you... or hurt you." but... why would he beleive his words? Why would he believe anything any of them say after they arleady betrayed him once?
"okay."
It didn't sound like an okay in the way that he heard and believed what Dust said. it was an okay in the sense of a child being afraid to disagree.
Fuck.
Dust isn't sure how to... how to fix this mess. The mess he had partly created. He isn't even sure this can be fixed...
Dust glances back at him and speaks quieter "I mean it... we aren't going to hurt you. We don't want that." wait... he never... "I am sorry."
a long silence but he forces more out "we shouldn't have left. I shouldn't have left. I just... figured it wasn't my place anymore. I was wrong. I am sorry i left you." and it won't happen again.
Even just saying those things. Apologising. Dust feels lighter. It feels good. He needed Nightmare ot hear that Dust now realises.
Ngihtmare doens't say anything about it but does relax a tiny bit next to him. A very very fragile and tiny show of trust and Dust wants to grab it with both hands but he does't know how!
For now he turns the movie on again and makes sure the babybones is near him and eating and drinking.
Dust isn't even watching the movie anymore. He just listens out in case there is anyone who will try to hurt Nightmare or tempt this uneasy peace they have managed to create.
THe movie plays on and Dsut suddenly feels a weight against him. He turns and stares. Because Nightmare is asleep while leaning against him. Out like a light.
It doesn't even surprise Dust. As Dust doubts that Nightmare slept at all in this last week. Maybe even not before they took him with them.
Dust can't help but notice the very dark marks under those sockets. clear sighs of lack of sleep.
Dust moves slowly and carefully as he picks Nightmare up and puts him in his lap. Fuck he is freezing. Dust wraps his own hoody around him and it helps him relax.
He is safe. He is asleep. And while getting Ngihtmare to trust them again will be a long time and healing will be even longer... For now Dust is happy with his arms full of babybones.

Look After You
This is based on later seasons of "Peaky Blinders" where Tommy has trouble with seizures. This time, he has you to look after him after he has one.
Hurt, fluff, comfort, mention of seizures, ptsd, typical Tommy language. @your-nanas-house
Tumblr media
"Tommy.... there we are, it's alright. I got you." Tommy found himself in the kitchen floor, confused with his head in your lap. You were stroking the short sides of his hair, the gray starting to peek through.
Tommy tries to speak, but you silence him. "Don't speak, sweetheart, just relax. Breathe. It's over. I'm here with you." Tommy had a seizure at the kitchen table. He stopped talking mid sentence, and you knew what to do. You pulled him to the floor so he wouldn't fall out of his chair and hurt himself. Luckily, they never last very long.
"Another one?" Tommy finally whispers, tears in his eyes. "Mmm, hmm, just a short one, sweetheart. I pulled you to the floor so you wouldn't fall out and hurt yourself."
"Why am I wet?" Tommy asks you. You give him a forehead kiss before replying. "You lost control of your bladder. The doctor said that was normal, remember? It happens a lot during seizures."
"I fucking pissed myself on the kitchen floor?!"
"Shhhh, Tommy, it's okay. We'll get you cleaned up all good as new. Would you like me to call Francis or Arthur to help you up?"
"Fuck no!" Tommy cries with embarrassment. "I rather be shot! What kind of a man am I?!"
"Tommy." You coo, wiping his tears away. "You are the same man I married. Between being in the war and your various head injuries over the years, you can't help it. Now let's get you up and into the bath, yeah?"
You run Tommy a nice hot bath and help him out of his clothes, ignoring Tommy's fussing about it. ("Fucking fell out and pissed myself, surely I can undress myself without issue!")
With Tommy in the bath, you make quick work of washing him up. "Relax, Tommy, let the warm bath do its job."
"I can't. What if I have another one? What if I have one while driving? What if I have one in parliament and piss everywhere in front of God and everybody?"
Terror is evident in Tommy's eyes. You know his seizures and ptsd go hand in hand. You look at him, but his eyes have gone elsewhere.
"Tommy. Hey, come back to me. You'll throw yourself into another one if you don't relax. Shhhhh. There you are. Nobody knows, do they?"
Tommy brings his knees up to his chest, hugging himself. "No one but you. I feel so small and weak. It honestly scares me."
You hold Tommy while he sobs quietly in the bathtub. "Have you been taking the tablets the doctor gave you?"
"They're fucking useless, love. I still have them."
"Because you won't let them do their job. You hardly eat, hardly sleep, and you smoke like a freight train. You've got to take better care of yourself, sweetheart."
"Is that your diagnosis for me, doctor?" Tommy asks you with a sniffle.
"Yes, it is. Now, let's get you out and into bed. You need to rest. You always feel wiped out afterward."
This time, there are no complaints from tommy as you dress him in comfortable clothes and tuck him into bed. "Now get some sleep, Tommy. You'll feel better when you wake up."
"What if I don't wake up?" Tommy asks quietly, the terror set back in his eyes.
"Tommy, baby, don't think that. I'll be right here next to you if that's what you need. You have to sleep. I'll hold you for as long as you want me to. If you have another one, I will be right here as always. You are in the middle of the bed, so you won't fall off and get hurt. You are safe here with me, I promise. Now, please get some needed rest. I love you, tommy."
"I love you too. Promise you won't go anywhere while I sleep?" He is anxious like a child that just had a nightmare.
"I promise, baby. Nothing can pull me away."
Tommy curls up into your chest, breathing in your scent to relax him. You gently rub his back and listen to his breathing slow and ease into sleep.

˙✧˖° SWEET TOOTH P.1 📷 ༘ ⋆。 ˚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: gore descriptions of animals, mention of walkers (obv), and some cussing if you count that,,
pairing: soft!s4!carl grimes x reader
kind of an au where rick doesnt pass out and carl & judith reunite immediately after the prison era (if that makes sense)
Tumblr media
I HAD COMPLETELY forgotten why i was here, i was supposed to be scavenging.. but i got side tracked by a cluster of ducks off the edge of this pond.
they all looked oddly peaceful, even when walkers were snarling quietly behind the doors of the barricaded houses from when the world went to absolute shit.
my keys dangled loudly from my pant pocket as i crouched down, but i no other place to put them because i lost my bag a while ago, probably nabbed by a walker that was wandering around and i didn't notice.
a duck waddled by my feet slowly, something in its mouth. "whatcha got?" i whispered, the duck looking me straight in the eye before dropping the item on the dewed grass.
i picked it up slowly, inspecting it. i realized after a solid 15 seconds of looking at it that it wasn't anything interesting — just a piece of overly rusted metal.
i shoved it in my back pocket before getting up from my grass mound i had made, and set off to wherever i found solace in for the time being.
a duck quacked behind me loudly, but i ignored it before i heard the crunching of flesh. i turned around hesitantly, a sob slipping between my lips as i saw multiple ducks being torn apart piece by piece — blood spurting everywhere.
i turned around before the walkers could notice i was still there, using all of my strength to climb up one of those tall, darkened trees until they disappeared.
Tumblr media
EVEN AFTER SOME time, i was still stuck in that damn tree. why did i even fucking choose to go up here? i knew they wouldnt leave until the sun rose — chasing after it idiotically.
i think i started to doze off before i heard a gunshot ring through my ears — watching the walkers being shot from probably about two or three spots.
i sat up after they all dropped to the ground, my feet swung over the trunk. i guess the people that killed them hadn't realized my presence.
"who are you?" an older man had shouted out, i guess he didn't realize i was a damn kid but, better safe than sorry.
i called out my name before all three of them seemed to relax, the same man who yelled at me had beckoned me to come down.
"you all look rough," i said, crinkling my lip backwards for a second. i never really had a filter — but that didnt seem to affect any of them.
"yeah — we probably do," the woman said. her voice was nice, she sounded kind. well, some people are straight up horrible and they sound sweet as a damn peach tree.
"i'm michonne," the woman said, seeming to grin like she couldnt do anything but.
"i'm carl!" the young boy introduced himself enthusiastically, smiling. why did they all smile so damn big?
"rick," the older man husked out, not smiling. well, finally one with some sanity i guess.
after a few seconds of silence, carl handed me a piece of chocolate that was half melted. "do you like candy? i have more at the house —" he talked with a certain enthusiasm i couldnt reciprocate, especially after watching those ducks being torn apart.
rick interrupted him, "we can't show them the house! what if they have people?" rick whispered, but i heard every word.
"i lost my people 'bout a week ago. mainly just sticking to this neighborhood for now," i spoke up. i didn't want these damn country people to conspire about me.
"dad, let them come to the house!" carl pleaded, "they seem nice, and its already like nighttime now."
rick was in thought for a moment, putting his hand on his chin as his gun slacked in the holster.
"yeah — c'mon. it's gettin' late, kid."

𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵
𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆
“No, no, no, nonononono,” Eddie chants repeatedly looking around his room.
He tore the place upside down, he looked everywhere.
Where the hell is it?!
Shit shit shit shit shit shit.
If someone finds it, his life is ruined. There is no way he can pass this as a joke, everyone will know.
They’ll know just how pathetic and lame he is. Doing a character sheet of his crush. What the hell was he thinking? Well, he wasn’t really, he was high and bored when he did it. And no one was ever supposed to see it. So really whose fault is it?
Sighing as he runs his hands through his messy hair, that is just an extra type of messy today with how much he has pulled at it. He resigns himself that the paper is not in his room and decides to retrace his steps.
He goes to the Wheeler’s place, knocks on the door loudly and Nancy opens the door,
“Hey Eddie, everything okay?”
He slaps his hair down nervously, God he probably looks insane right now, “Yeah, yeah Nance. I just misplaced something,” he says, kissing her cheek as he lets himself in, “Can I go look for it? It’s a hellfire thing.”
“Yeah, of course. You want any help?” Nancy answers sweetly, opening the basement door for him.
“No, thanks!” he screams, going down the stairs two at a time.
There’s no use. It’s not there. Eddie grabs his hair and pulls, stressed. He’s going to have to ask Wheeler Jr, shit.
Fuck! If Wheeler has it, he’s probably going to end up being extorted to do his bidding for the rest of his life.
Once more he tries to slap his hair back in place before going back upstairs, trying not to look so freaked out, “Nance, is the bad Wheeler home?”
Nancy chuckles at the nickname, “He’s at Will’s. I’m going there now. Need a ride?”
“I’m in the van, but I’ll meet you there,” he tells her, dropping another peck on her cheek and then bolting out the door.
Jon answers the door at the Byers when he gets there a record five minutes later. They half hug in greeting, and then Eddie just runs upstairs not bothering to explain himself.
And Jon doesn’t even bother asking.
“Hey,” he says when he bursts through the door to Will’s room. Will jumps a little from his position on the bed, nearly dropping his paintbrush. Mike just looks up from where he’s lying on his stomach with a comic book in hand.
Eddie half smiles apologetically at Will for startling him and then says, “So here’s the situation,” and crosses his arms, trying to look imposing. He used to scare the shit out of Mike only a few months ago. He can do it again.
“I lost a very important page from my notebook. It’s a big deal, notes about the final boss and shit. If I don’t get it back, or if you read it, the campaign is ruined and therefore canceled, get it?” he says, completely making things up on the spot.
The boys look horrified and immediately get moving, looking through their things to check they didn't accidentally take it. Mike asks him if he checked the basement while Will calls on the walkie for a D&D emergency. It’s cute how much they care, and for a second Eddie forgets how much shit he’s in, until he hears Dustin’s voice through the walkie.
“I— yeah. I found it.”
‘Shit.’
“Did you read it?” Will asks over the walkie, looking worriedly at him.
“No! No, I didn't!” Dustin says right away.
‘Okay, good.’
“Where is it?” Eddie asks loud enough for Dustin to hear over the radio.
Dustin takes a long time to respond.
“...I gave it to Steve.”
Mike scoffs, “What, why?”
But Eddie can’t hear any of his excuses, something about not reading it and that Steve can give it to Eddie and about trust and-
“The campaign is canceled,” he yells suddenly and the boys look at him in shock while Dustin starts screaming over the walkie but he pays it no mind. He shakes his head, “I quit Hellfire. I’m done, I’m out. Find another DM,” and then he turns around and just walks out of there.
He runs into Nancy on his way out.
“Everything okay?” She asks worried.
He looks at her and is going to answer but then he hears the kids running down the stairs to catch up with him, can still hear Dustin screaming over the walkie, so he shakes his head and smiles at Nancy.
“It’s silly, don’t worry about it,” he assures her, and then gets in his van and bails out of there before the kids can talk him out of it.

But is Scaramoussy giving or receiving thigh hickeys? 👀
Tumblr media
✮ cw ; body worship (scaramouche recieving), biting + hickies, implicit nsfw but nothing graphic, gn!reader 18+
✮ a/n ; forgive me anon this devolved into straight up me thirsting about his legs because im a horny freak.
Tumblr media
Scaramouche notices the way your eyes linger on his frame.
Always has. Always says the same thing about it - the word pervert rolling off his tongue in a catty, mischievous tone. He's a brat after all, and he does think you're a pervert. A freak by design.
But he doesn't mind the attention. He basks in it, bathes himself in the feeling of your eyes tracing the outline of his body. He's never found himself appealing in that way and he can't understand why anyone else would either for that matter.
He's made like first drafts usually are after all - messy projections and too much feeling. Sensitive to the point of madness, so when you bring Scaramouche to bed and focus so much on one part of his body - he doesn't know what to do.
Scaramouche is pretty in your eyes. His upper frame is a little more lithe with muscle but he's otherwise pure porcelain. He's got a thin frame and no hairs on anywhere it would usually be.
He reminds you of milk and lavender. You can't tear your eyes away from his legs.
He sits on the edge of the bed and watches you, your hand soft against the bottom of his foot as you slide it up behind his ankle. His breath hitches in the back of his throat as you start at the joint. He stretches them out till they're pointed, resting on your shoulder. Your palm stretches over the muscle, one resting over his knee with other one rubbing the hard part of his ankle.
Your eyes are lidded as you look - mouth descending on the long plane of skin on his calves. All the way up his legs is cream and sugar - shorts barely covering the thickest part of his thighs. You start at the bottom and work up, open mouth kisses up and up and up until you're at the bend of his knee.
Then you retrace the steps with your tongue, and finally your teeth in gentle bites. Your hands make work of the rest - rubbing the muscles in the back where your tongue rests, massaging your thumb into the tense sinew. He's not naked but he's bare - his leg warmers tossed along with the ankle socks normally covering his feet.
He doesn't know what to do as he looks at you, lost in your own world. A heat forms in his stomach, almost sticky and Scaramouche can't breathe. Can't do anything but try and stop the thing standing up between his legs with each passing minute.
"Your legs," You say, hushed and panting like you've run a marathon - rubbing the whole of them softly before gripping his thighs with your fingertips "Fuck, you're just beautiful."
"You sound like a perverted old man."
You laugh, hearty and deep before kissing his bare knee.
"Not my fault you walk around in those things you call shorts."
"They're hardly short."
"When you bend to pick something up I see up them. Your thighs and all."
He doesn't counter when you say that, inching up slowly. His whole body feels like it's melting, everything languid and slow - the air creating cold spots where your mouth once was. When your mouth moves up against the inside of his thighs, his breathing stops completely. Sharp teeth sinking into soft skin like sunsettias in the summer, you use your mouth like he's something you want to devour.
With the same rhythm and same tenderness that you'd use to break down a cut of meat, Scaramouche is overwhelmed by the extent of your desires for him. This time its so focused on just one element. Just his legs, the feeling of them - the thought of how slender and long they are, how cute they look in clothes. You're consumed by it, even he knows that much.
He gasps when he feels you suck the skin on his inner thighs. His body is most tender there, more than everywhere else minus his chest. He has to cover it as you lave your tongue over the curve. You nudge the fabric away , up and up and up until they're in the crease of his thighs.
When he's exposed, you push him farther backwards. Until he's flat on his back and not sitting. His legs pulled up a little. You put your hand flat on the tops of thighs but don't make to touch where he needs you. You focus on making your bruises darker, permanently etching your thumb into his side, just over his pelvis.
Scaramouche can feel the hot wetness of your mouth all over like warm water. It makes his stomach churn with lust, his body pure nerves. He wants you to touch him where he needs you but you've focused on everywhere but. Cruel and sadistic is what he expects from you, but he can't take it.
Still he gazes on you, inspects his body from where he can see. And he's covered in those bites - distinct and so deep they're not red but purple. It makes him whine. It makes him want more.
"Fuck, hurry." He complains, rutting into the air. You tsk, canine in his skin.
"Patience, sweet boy."
When it comes to Scaramouche you always linger. Always stay in a place you can't leave behind. He doesn't hate it but archons, he wishes you went faster.

fat funny friend (jake seresin pt 8/?)
PART OF MY “WHATEVER THIS IS” SERIES WHICH CAN BE FOUND HERE
Tumblr media
PAIRING: JAKE ‘HANGMAN’ SERESIN x Female Plus Size Bartender!Reader
NICKNAME: Sunshine
Warning: A bit of self-body shaming
It goes without saying but I do not give permission for anyone to use my work or copy it somewhere else.
PLOT: Penny Benjamin’s niece works at The Hard Deck, saving the money she earns to get out of the west coast and put herself through Graduate School. What happens when a pretty boy pilot ends up as her fake boyfriend?
PART ONE / PART TWO / PART THREE / PART FOUR / PART FIVE / PART SIX / PART SEVEN / PART EIGHT / PART NINE / PART TEN / PART ELEVEN / FINAL PART
Two weeks. It had been two weeks and the pain of Jake’s absence took a heavier toll on you than you had previously expected, and you weren’t sure how much more you could handle it. Your home had become a hollow and messy disaster of a landing zone, blankets everywhere along with half eaten containers of take-out food. You hadn’t showered in a few days, your hair now only spun up into lackadaisical buns as you wiped your mouth on your sleep shirt and closed your eyes to the sound of the next rerun of Law & Order: SVU.
In the days immediately following Halloween, you were sure he was going to call, apologize for his lack of communication. You had tricked yourself into thinking perhaps he had a horrifying call to action and had been on an aircraft carrier before dawn.
But days later, you ran into Phantom and Rooster while they were out for coffee. Bradley looked at you confused, a wash of a smile etching on his face. It told you he knew, somehow and that smile made all these fantasies crumble out of your head and sent you into a spiral of pain and rejection in a way you never thought possible.
You’d let Jake in, all the way. Something you had vowed to yourself that you wouldn’t do again without great sacrifice. Instead, you were met with resistance and insecurity that bubbled through your chest and burned your esophagus raw as you wept and screamed out into the abyss of your lonely apartment. You took a few days off work, Penny texting back with a knowing ‘Take your time.’ You felt sick, throwing up in hopes that the weight in your tummy would dissipate but to no avail.
A knock on your door startled you awake out of a groggy fog, a numb vibration coming over you from your spot on the couch. You groan a little, turning away from the door to rest your face against the fabric with a heavy sigh. The loud banging continues on, and you grunt again, turning back to roll off the couch. You mosey over to the front door and check the window, only to pull the door open. “Nat, now isn’t a good time.”
“What the hell happened?” she demands, stepping inside and past you without hesitation. Her harsh tone takes you by surprise and your shoulders push back as you find energy for the first time in weeks.
“What the hell happened?” you repeat with an almost mocking tone. “Well, let’s see,” you cackle with a bitter wave rushing through your body. “What happened is that Bagman did what Bagman does best. He hung me out to dry.”
“What?” the word falls out of Nat’s mouth in a way she can’t help. “That’s impossible.”
“Well, if you’ve come here to mock me Nat, you can fuckin’ go because I've had it with Naval Aviators fucking destroying my subconscious so,” you pace over to the front door and swing it open. You stare expectedly at her as her stance deflats suddenly, her gaze downcast as she starts to swallow down what you’ve just blurted out.
“No Y/N, I’m not trying to,” she takes a slow and heavy breath before glancing back up at you. “Hangman is miserable. He’s a hollow shell of himself...I figured you’d stomped all over his heart because I’ve never seen him like this before.”
The mention of Jake’s state should tug at your heart strings. It should make your heart flutter that he’s so lost without you, and he’s so desperately broken that the absence of your presence was the clear notion to Nat that something must’ve happened. But you’re too bitter. Too broken to even have the slightest bit of sympathy for the piece of shit. A heartless, venomous cackle bubbles out of you in a way you’ve never experienced before. This is what he’s done...look what he’s turned you into.
“That’s hilarious. He’s a fucking wreck? Serves him right,” you slam the door shut and walk past her to the kitchen to get a bottle of water, your mouth going dry.
It’s the first time that Nat is finally taking in your figure, taking in the state of you as you move to the kitchen and tug the fridge door open. You’re less round than she remembers seeing you at the Halloween party weeks prior. You’ve got dark circles beneath your bottom lash lip and your stomach isn’t poking out as much as it used to. It worries her. “Y/N,” she tries again, her tone much softer this time as she approaches you. “What happened?”
You chug down the entire water bottle, letting the flush wash away any of the burning hunger in your stomach. Avoiding her gaze, you lean against the counter for support and take slow and steady breaths. Underneath all the feminine rage and anger, there’s insecurity ripping through your veins and cursing every inch of your body. You wish it into submission of a quiet hum as you glance up at her, wet lashes distracting her from the sniffle you make.
“What do you think?” Your sour tone isn’t directly for her; Nat knows that now as she steps closer.
Her arms are slowly approaching you as she tries to gently collect you into her embrace as your knees wobble, so shaky that you crumble to the ground as your mouth quivers and the dam breaks. She’s cooing as your ass meets the tile of the kitchen, your loud wails filling the quaint kitchen as she tries to hold you tight enough that the pieces of your soul don’t shatter.
“He left Nat,” you whimper, “He left me after we slept together for the first time. It took me so long to let someone in and,” you inhale the wet snot dripping from your nose. “I feel so embarrassed and so ashamed.” Your voice came out in slow, aching weeps as you looked down at your thighs.
All the body positivity, all the confidence in who you were faltering at the loss of a man who you weren’t even in a real relationship with. You were angry at yourself for even letting the thoughts to climb into your mind and rot your empowerment. “The man saw my body and then left…it really can shatter a person’s self-esteem if they aren’t careful,” you admitted and suddenly, Nat sees red. Nat sees this beautiful and vibrant person withering away in her arms and she can’t handle that. She won’t allow it when she’s grown so close with you.
So, she calls for re-enforcements, hatching a plan for the next evening to re-introduce you to bar life and get your mojo back. At 6:30 PM promptly the next day, she shows up as promised with Gemini and Aries in tow. Bags are tossed over their shoulders, and they’ve got bottles of Patron in hand as they grin lovingly. “Let’s ruin the fucker’s birthday,” Aries smirks as she places her bag down on the couch.
Hours later, Nat leads the way as you approach the porch of the Hard Deck and friendly, familiar faces greet you in excitement. “God damn Sunshine,” a kind firefighter from town hollers, eyeing your short black top and daisy dukes. Your toes are freshly painted, and legs moisturized, you’d felt like a real person for the first time since that night on Halloween. And now, three weeks later – you had just begun to smile.
“Thank you so much Benson,” you tuck a loose curl behind your ear and keep moving, the momentum bringing you through the door and into the Hard Deck. It’s in full swing when you glance around, slightly hoping that you don’t even notice him for the night. There’s a knot, continuing to twist and wind itself up and you find it a bit hard to breath just as you get to the bar top.
“There’s my girl,” Penny calls out, rushing around the opening to wrap you in the tightest hug she can muster up.
“Hi Pen,” you mumble back, enjoying the warmth of her embrace and pulling back to smile genuinely at her.
“Nat told me the gist of everything,” she pursed her lips with a nod to your friend, a mischievous glaze to her wise eyes. “You give me the look and I will ruin that man’s whole life, starting with his wallet.”
“That won’t be necessary Pen,” you squeeze her arms and pull back, “But I’ll take a tequila sunrise instead.” She nods with a wink, returning behind the bar to mix up the cocktails for you. You slide into one of the stools beside Aries when you hear it. The hoot of a Texan man gone wild. Him. You take a heavy breath, letting your gaze wander to his usual spot. Scratch that…your usual spot. And you wished you hadn’t because there he was with the men of the squadron, arm draped lazily over some skinny brunette’s shoulders as he pressed up against her ear.
“He looks real torn up Nat,” you seethe, turning back to your friend and pushing off your stool when she pushes you down.
“He only found the girl after he found out we were coming tonight,” Nat promises, taking a sip of her beer. “It’s sickening but I’ve got something to keep your mind off him,” she nods in the direction of the booth again. The weight of your purse burns against your hip when you square your shoulders and ready yourself to vomit when you turn back to the table. But your view is blocked by the frame of another man walking toward you, bright pearly whites gleaming as he approaches with an innocent smile.
“Just play along and watch the magic of a fury,” Nat’s voice trails off as you sit up a bit straighter and tilt your head.
“Hey Fanboy,” you greet the man a bit louder than your typical tone and he picks up the pace until he’s in front of you. He doesn’t stop his momentum though, not in the slightest as he leans forward and collects your cheeks in his hands to tug your mouth to his. His lips are silky smooth against yours, fresh minty breath refreshing as you breath him in. You cup the back of his head, nails scrapping against his scalp as he situates himself between your thighs.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he’s leaning back as he rests his hands on either side of you, caging you in. You’re left trying to catch your breath as you smile widely, enjoying the sensation of his mouth over the expanse of your neck. This is a show, and you are a reoccurring main character. You’ve played this game before and now more than ever, you need believability. So, you wrap your hands around his slender waist and giggle slightly as his teeth drag along the column of flesh. “Fanboy, stop mauling my niece,” your aunt quips playfully, in on the gag as you slot your hands into the back pockets of his jeans.
“Sorry Penny,” he pulls back, gazing at you lovingly. “She’s just irresistible.”
“Well, take your asses away from my counter. You’ll scare off customers,” Penny calls, her voice carrying easily over to the table in the back where there is a booth tucked away from the patrons. Your booth. Your booth that is now occupied.
“Want to take this party out to the bonfire?” Fanboy’s voice is low in your ear, causing you to shiver slightly and nod, bottom lip tucked between your teeth. Eat your heart out Jake Seresin.
“Are you fuckin’ serious?” Speak of the devil. You peer around Fanboy’s shoulder to see the blond seething, fists balled up at his sides. His jaw is clenched so tight you though the muscle there would snap from any further tension.
“Can we help you?” you ask slowly, blinking at the man you had hopelessly fallen in love with. The man who slowly gained your trust and then ripped everything you knew out from under you. Fuck him.
            “You serious Sunshine?”
“Don’t call me that,” you snap, eerily sharp. Your tone forces him back, hitting him square in the chest and a small flash of hurt creeps through his green eyes. Fuck him. “You don’t get to call me that…are you fucking serious?”
Anger ripples over Jake again and suddenly, Nat’s shoulder to shoulder beside you while Fanboy still hovers to your front. You feel their strength building inside of you as you stare at Jake’s strong and broad chest. “It’s my birthday.”
            “And?”
Jake scoffs at you, his hands sliding over his sharp hipbones. His fingers flex and it takes every ounce of will power to not think about how they felt against your cunt. “And you are making out with Fanboy right in front of my face. On my birthday,” his hand goes up in emphasis as if it isn’t perfectly clear what the two of you had been doing.
            “You’ve got some nerve.”
            “Me?” he sounds shocked.
You scoff, “Yes, fucking you Bagman.” You’re shaking now. How dare he. How dare he show up to your side of the bar months ago and be charming. How dare he flirt hard enough and still be so sweet and unassuming that you let him take you on a terrible date and then save you from your horrible ex. How dare he take you to your favorite bookstore, let you share all your favorite tropes and stories with him while he just hummed along and happily held your selections until you reached the counter. How dare he told you about his home life, about his sisters. About his mom, about his tough relationship with his father and the vulnerability they’d earned from each other over the years. About his fears of flying in a tin can in the sky at trillions of miles an hour. How dare he let you down when you tried so hard not to let him in.
You slide of your stool, suddenly exhausted. Suddenly deflated and with no burning fire in you to fight back. You felt small again and you hated feeling small, especially here in public. You were tired of hiding, tired of pretending.
Maybe that was what got you here in the first place. And he sees it and he’s got this burning in his chest that feels like acid reflux but worse. He watches as you slowly dig through your purse, saddling up until you were right in front of him. You tug your hand free of the contents within the bag to reveal a small box, black leather smooth to the touch.
“I hate that I did this but I know how much you said you would only get a new one if it was the exact one,” your words are so gentle, he’s not sure you said anything really…not sure if he imagined it. You couldn’t be this gentle with him, not after what Jake had done. “I hate that you make me feel this way…and I hate that I still don’t hate you,” you confess, pushing the box into his hands with a mumbled Happy Birthday.
And then he no longer feels your warmth in his space, feeling vulnerable and insecure all over again. But this time, he’s in front of an entire bar of people who definitely prefer you to him and he’s feeling self-conscious, so he rushes to the bathroom, out of the view of patrons. His hands fiddle with the box, unsure if he should even open it. That burning in his chest is getting worse and he’s pretty sure it would be better if he just cut out his throat to save himself.
But curiosity is a killer and Jake Seresin is weak, so he pries the box open only to immediately let out a whimper at the contents inside. Nestled between the velvet material is a 1942 Hamilton WWII wristwatch, just like his grandfather’s that he lost on his last tour. The very watch he cried about the first time the two of you drank a bottle of red wine on his porch, wrapped up on the swing under a blanket. Fuck.

Desert Rose
Chapter 46 ~ I'm Here
✧ Pairing : Daryl Dixon x Rose
✧ Era : Season 4
✧ Word Count : 6.9k
In this chapter ~ When the supply run doesn't go according to plan, the group is forced to face with the repercussions on what they lost. Whilst some of it may be overlooked, others had potentially taken it to heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we finally found the shelf that collapsed, Daryl had already beat us to the scene, crouching down on his knees and shining a light underneath the surface. I could hear him talking to someone, but I couldn't quiet hear what was being said.
"Who's under there?" I asked.
Daryl looked back at me, "Bob; his leg's caught."
Tyreese and Zach then dashed around the corner just seconds after the words left his lips, not needing to even think before they moved over to try and lift the heavy piece of furniture off of the man. Daryl quickly got up to his feet as well, using the leverage he had to push with the others as Sasha's voice echoed on the other side of the store, asking what was happening.
Though none of us had any time to reply as a sudden cracking sound came from right above our heads, causing me to look up and see that the ceiling was practically rotted completely through. My eyes squinted as the sound only grew louder, not even a second later, a walker falling through from up above, dangling up high by its intestines as its blood spilled everywhere.
Glenn and I quickly jumped back at the same time to avoid the guts that splattered all over the floor, groaning in disgust when we saw it coat the tile beneath us and the tips of our shoes.
"Jesus fucking Christ." I cursed under my breath.
Glenn looked up with a scrunched up face as he eyed the walker as it flailed around above our heads, caught on some kind of metal, "Yeah." he muttered, seeming to agree with my choice of words.
At this point, the remainder of the group made their way over to the rest of us once they heard the ceiling partially collapse, wondering what the hell was going on from all the noise. Glenn wasted no time telling everyone that we needed to just get out of here before things escalated, but the guys were still struggling to get Bob out from under where he was stuck.
But the second Glenn's words left his mouth, warning the others that we needed to move, it began raining walkers. More of them fell through the ceiling in what seemed to be only seconds, beginning to give out more and more with each passing moment.
Everyone jumped back instantly, seeing some of them had survived the fall and were now getting up and slowly making their way towards us with outstretched hands. I pulled out my bow quickly and aimed at one of them that was coming towards me, firing at his skull before yanking it back out.
I had no choice but to slowly back up as a few began to corner me, forcing me away from the others as they all split up to avoid death's cold fingers. I kicked, stabbed, and fought the ones that were coming at me, pulling my weapon's back out of their heads as their bodies slowly began to pile up in the space around me. But my ears perked up when I heard Glenn's familiar scream from a few aisles over, and I didn't hesitate to rush over to the area as quick as I could, expecting to see the worst.
I turned the corner to see that there was a walker on top of him, snapping its teeth towards his neck, while there was another clawing at his feet as he tried to kick it away. I immediately pulled back and fired an arrow at the one closest to his face, easily taking out the next one with a smash of my foot to its skull before breathing a sigh of relief. He exhaled harshly as I reached a hand out towards him, helping him back up to his feet.
"Thanks." he breathed.
I nodded in response and gathered up my arrows I had launched, when we heard Bob call out suddenly in some kind of panic. Glenn visibly hesitated when he saw more walkers coming our way, but I quickly just told him to go while I shot an arrow at the nearest one, covering him as he ran back to the scene.
There were a shit ton of them coming at me all at once down the narrow aisle, the number only seeming to multiply. It made me question for a moment how the hell we didn't hear all of them walking around up there in the first place, how they managed to fall through and so quickly ruin our day.
After shooting a few more and watching them go down, I took off in a sprint in the other direction, leading them away from the others as I heard them begin to fire their guns. Shots were now echoing from all around the giant store, the ceiling only collapsing more the longer we were in there. But I glanced up briefly to notice that there was now a helicopter slowly slipping through, taking out what was left of the roof impossibly slowly as we fought off the dead monsters.
I was far too distracted to hear my name being called from behind me, only trying to fight for my life as I continued to kill the ones I led astray. But my ears perked up suddenly when I heard someone scream at the top of their lungs, Zach's name being called out not even a second later and I closed my eyes briefly. Knowing that he didn't make it.
The helicopter from above only crashed down into the store further, nearly breaking down the entire thing as it almost crushed us. My eyes scanned around desperately for an opening as I could barely see anything now from the amount of debris and dust floating in the air.
"Rose!" I heard Daryl's voice call out.
I knew by the panic in his tone that everyone else was heading towards the exit, leaving me the last one to make it out of the store that was quickly falling apart. But right when I was about to lose hope, I spotted the front doors just a few feet away from me, the light shining was my only source to follow it.
My feet slapped loudly on the ground as I booked it towards the exit, pushing myself to only run faster at the sounds of the helicopter finally fell through the ceiling from right behind me.
My body collapsed harshly on the pavement as I made it outside right at the last second, looking back over my shoulder to see the store was now completely destroyed, trying to catch my breath. Though I stood up quickly, seeing the damage that was done to all of the supplies we could've brought back, but I wasn't on my feet for very long.
I was suddenly swept up in a matter of a second, feeling Daryl's familiar strong arms wrap around me tightly as he pulled me into him, "Oh thank God." he muttered into my neck, pulling away briefly to place a kiss on my forehead.
"I'm okay...I'm okay." I reassured him as I tightened my arms around his waist, looking over his shoulder as I still tried to process the disaster.
He pulled away and took my face in his hands, "Ya sure?" he asked with worried eyes.
I nodded and quickly hugged him again, still trying to catch my breath as my heart felt like it was in my ass as for a moment I truly though I wasn't going to make it.
The rest of them gathered around us as we finally let go of each other, grasping each and every one of their hands tightly as I saw that they were all okay. But as I still didn't see Zach anywhere near, I couldn't help but drop my head in defeat, hanging onto the fact that we couldn't save him. Everyone was utterly breathless as the adrenaline we were all feeling was staring to wear off, watching as the place only seemed to crumble further as we stood there frozen.
So, without another word, everyone silently made it back to their vehicles with the intention to finally head back to the prison. Everything was going so well up until this point, and not only did we lose the entire store filled with supplies, but we lost a member of our group as well. We hadn't lost anyone in a long time, I almost forgot what it felt like. Almost.

When we finally reached the place we called home, Daryl was quick to inform me that he would tell Beth about what happened to Zach. I offered to do it for him, seeing as he was still a little on edge, but he insisted he could take care of it himself, silently knowing it would crush me to see her face. I didn't protest after that, mostly because I knew he was right. All I wanted right now was a shower to try and scrub away all the guilt and the smell of death.
I couldn't get to the showers fast enough, wasting no time taking everything off and melting under the water flowing from the faucet. It felt indescribable after the endless day we just experienced. I washed my hair and conditioned it thoroughly, before taking my time washing my entire body. I didn't realize until now just how much walker blood and guts got all over me, caked together with the dirt that lingered on my skin.
I let my mind wander the longer I was alone as I began to feel horrible about not seeing Beth after what happened to Zach. I found I regretted it almost instantly. But at the same time, I wanted to give her some space if she needed it to grieve the loss of him. A part of me wanted to wait and see what Daryl says, how she reacted and how she seemed to be taking it before approaching her myself. It was truly the coward's way out, but I didn't want to push her.
After I finally finished in the shower, I turned the water off and dried myself with a towel before slipping on some clean clothes. I placed my dirty ones in my bin to have them washed and then made my way back to the familiar cellblock, approaching our room to see it was illuminated with light by a few candles he had lit.
Gently moving the curtain, I saw he was in there sitting perfectly still on the bed with his head in his hands, his dirty boots still on his feet. I slowly sat down next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder with a small sigh, feeling him wordlessly wrapping an arm around my waist to pull me closer. We sat in silence for a few minutes as he clearly tried to collect his thoughts, but I eventually couldn't take the quiet anymore. Wanting to know what was running through his mind.
"What did Beth say?" I asked, sitting back up as I moved some of the hair from his face.
He was silent for a few moments before letting out a breath of air, "She didn't even cry." he whispered.
I furrowed my brows in confusion as I was slightly taken aback. I knew she didn't know Zach for very long, but she still liked him and had grown quite close with him over the past few months. But then again everyone took these types of things differently, coped with them in ways that some others couldn't understand.
"People grieve in different ways."
He only nodded his head silently, still not bringing his eyes back up to look at me which only caused my concern to grow. I didn't want to push him if he wasn't ready to talk about what was on his mind, but I still wanted to help him.
"You wanna talk about it?" I asked quietly.
"Hm?" he questioned.
I rolled my eyes slightly, "I know you're thinking too much about something...do you want to talk about it?" I asked again.
He paused and then took his arm back so he could fully face me. He took in a breath like he was going to say something, but then let it out as if he couldn't find the right words.
I sighed, "Love, if this is about Zach...you can't blame-"
"This ain't about Zach," he interrupted me softly, "It's bout you."
I paused as he cut me off, tilting my head in confusion as I had no idea what any of this had to do with me. "Me? What about me?"
The man then grew very serious, "I almost lost ya today Rosie. I mean, I can still feel my heart in my ass that's how scared I was."
My lips pressed together as I tried to stop a laugh from escaping, but ended up failing pretty miserably, looking up to see that he even cracked a little smile. "It ain't funny." he attempted to defend.
I quickly pulled myself together as I nodded, "Okay no, losing me is not funny. But your choice of oh so sweet words are very funny." I softly laughed again.
"The point is, ya scared the shit out of me. I don't know what I'd do if-"
"Hey," I interrupted him with a shake of my head, "I made it, okay? I'm here. You can't focus on what could've happened, that'll just eat you up inside."
"I can't." he whispered, "I almost saw ya get crushed, I can't-" he cut himself off and took a deep breath, placing his hands on the sides of my face, "Just stick close to me forever, alright? I'll protect ya from anythin."
I smiled at his words, "Daryl, I love you so much. But you can't keep worrying about something that didn't even happen. I'm here."
There was still some uncertainty in his eyes, and I knew my words weren't enough. The thoughts of seeing me collapsing right along with the building still clouded his mind. He then adjusted himself to where he leaned down and rested his head on my chest, wrapping his arms around my waist as he held me close to him. As if he needed to feel me, hear the steady beating of my heart to ensure that I wasn't going anywhere.
I smiled to myself as I wrapped my arms around him in return, running my fingers soothingly through his hair as I felt him release a heavy breath of relaxation. It didn't hit me until just now how much this was truly affecting him, but I understood completely.
"I'm here." I said again, my voice coming out in a soft whisper as I felt him nod his head in response, still not wanting to part from me.
A nice silence settled over us for a while as neither of us found the strength to move, too exhausted to even think about it. It wasn't until I felt him move slightly, nuzzling up against my chest even more as he clearly made himself comfortable and I couldn't help but roll my eyes with a small laugh.
"You know...I'm starting to think this was just an excuse to rest your head on my boobs."
He chuckled deeply, "Hm...maybe." he muttered before turning his head slightly to start leaving open mouthed kisses all over my chest, even sticking his tongue out to lick my skin.
I couldn't help but giggle in response as he began to tickle me, gently tugging at his hair to get him to stop and look up at me after a few seconds so I could catch my breath. His chin rested on my breasts as he gazed at me with a small smirk, a certain longing in his expression as I noticed the hair that fell slightly over his eyes. I took my hand to gently brush the strands away from his face, noticing how long it was getting now as time went on.
Though I didn't mind in the slightest. In fact, I actually found I liked his hair like this.
"Your hair's getting long." I voiced out loud as I began to twirl a long strand with my finger.
He smiled as he felt my fingers brush along his scalp again, resting his eyes in content. "Mhm." he hummed in response.
"I like it...you look hot." I stated with a smirk.
His eyes opened again as he tilted his head at me, "Yeah?"
"Yeah." I confirmed.
He chuckled again as he leaned down to place another few kisses along my chest, "Thank you, baby." he mumbled sleepily, another peaceful silence following after his sweet silky voice.
Today was the first bad day we've had in a long time, and I knew it definitely wasn't going to be the last. In fact, it was only a reminder of how shitty life can be sometimes, having been spoiled for the last few months as it finally felt like everything was falling into place. But after today, I wasn't so sure anymore.

I woke up fairly early the next morning and looked over to see Daryl still softly snoring beside me, his back rising and falling in rhythm. I smiled a little before I cautiously got up off the bed, careful not to wake him up as I tip-toed around the cell to get ready. I didn't want to wake him; I knew that man needed as much rest as he could get.
It didn't take me very long before I pushed open the curtain to exit the space, seeing a few others awake and moving around quietly. As I passed by Carl's cell on the ground level, I saw that Judith was standing up in her fold out crib, staring at me with wide eyes as she could barely see over. I laughed lightly to myself before quietly going in to pick her up and get her something to eat while Carl still slept soundly.
"Hey Judy." I whispered and placed a kiss on her head.
She looked up at me with those big brown eyes and giggled, a large smile prominent on her face. I couldn't believe how big she's gotten in such a short amount of time. Somehow, she was around seven months old now, but those months just seemed to fly by. Before I knew it, she would be walking and talking, having the same kind of attitude her father had without a doubt.
I bounced her a little as I walked with her into the common room, picking through some baby food we had stocked up before I took her outside for some fresh air. I sat with her steady on my lap at one of the many empty tables that were scattered around, opening up the food and beginning to feed her while watching the sun begin to rise.
This morning was peaceful. The sky was painted with the most beautiful shades of orange and pink, and I could faintly hear some birds around in the area. Of course, there were still the snarls and moans of the walkers just outside of the gates, but you learn to tune them out eventually.
I then heard some movement from behind me and saw that a few others were starting to wake up as well and get to work. My gaze then spotted Hershel through the sea of people beginning to rise, and he caught my eye with a smile as he began to make his way over to my table.
"How are you this morning dear?" he asked, sitting himself down across from me with a small breath.
"Relaxed." I said simply, looking down briefly to feed Judith another bite, "And you?"
"Peaceful." he replied.
I nodded with a smile, but it soon faded as seeing his face only reminded me of someone else, "Have you...talked to Beth?" I asked hesitantly.
He nodded, clearly thinking back to a conversation he had with her the night prior before speaking again, "She's very strong." he concluded.
"I know," I assured, "But I can't help but worry, you know?"
He hummed a response as he seemed to know exactly what I was talking about. Being her father and all, I'm sure his worry was far worse than mine when it came to things like this.
"But how are you?" he suddenly asked, "I heard you gave the others quite a scare yesterday."
I shook my head and fed Judith another bite, "I'm fine, I'm always fine." I brushed off, "I was out of there just a few seconds after everyone else. Plus I think Bob was the one who really gave everyone a scare, being trapped while the building was falling apart." I muttered.
His eyes narrowed the smallest bit as a smile crossed his face, "I think you underestimate how much the others care about you." he said.
I gave him a confused look, "What?"
"If you were in danger, that's all anyone needs to know to be worried about you. It doesn't matter how little or grave danger you are in...they will always worry. You're a leader here Rose, and these people adore you. You need to stop brushing it off like it's nothing when you were just as close to losing your life as Bob was. I know you can take care of yourself, we all know that, but let people worry. It just proves how much they love you."
Well shit. I always felt stupid after I talked to Hershel, because he was right every damn time. He's this very wise man that everyone wants advice from, and I knew he was right about this too, but that didn't mean I wanted everyone to worry so much. It was heartbreaking to hear. But then again, I knew there's nothing I can do to prevent people from doing so. I just had to let it be.
I cracked a small smile, "Once again Santa, you're right." he chuckled at that, "I guess I'm just not used to this special treatment."
"Well," he started, "Get used to it. Because nobody here is going to stop caring anytime soon." he spoke, reaching over to place one of his hands on top of mine. I smiled at him in appreciation and nodded to show him I understood.
He tapped my hand once before speaking again, "Well, I'm going to head down and check the crops we just planted a few days ago. See how they're holding up."
"Have fun." I spoke.
He smiled and nodded while getting up and making his way down towards the field. I seemed to ponder over Hershel's words as I finished feeding Judith, though that was probably what he wanted me to do. Letting his words stick in the back of my mind. It was a random conversation to say the least, but yet he knew exactly what to say. He always gave me the reassurance that I needed, even when I don't realize I need it in the moment. I appreciated him a lot more than he probably even realized.
After Judith was done eating, I threw the jar away and carried her back into cellblock C to hand her off to someone while I went up for my watch shift that I knew I had to take care of. I walked in the space to see multiple people up and a few of them greeted me, smiling back at them politely before I spotted Beth in the common room. Her eyes seemed to lock on mine in an instant as a small smile traced her lips, walking over towards me with outstretched hands.
"Here, I can take her." she said.
I nodded silently and maneuvered Judith over into her arms, looking at the two of them for a moment before taking in a breath, "Honey... I-"
"I know." she reassured softly, clearly not wanting to relive it right now. Though she seemed to brush it off, I could clearly see the pain she tried to keep hidden behind her eyes.
"Okay." I nodded in understanding, "Just know... I'm here if you want to talk about it, okay?"
She bounced Judith a little and nodded with a small smile, "Thanks Ro."
"Of course. Thanks for taking her, I have to head up to the guard tower for a few hours." I said as I pointed over my shoulder towards the outside.
"Don't worry about it," she shook her head, "I promise I'll come bother you later after you're done."
I laughed, "Good." I said over my shoulder as I walked away back towards the exit.
The hours then seemed to fly by while I sat up there, watching over everything with the sniper laid lazily in my lap, waiting for any type of action to alert people about. But there was nothing. For once I sat up here in slight boredom instead of anxiously keeping an eye out for a threat I thought was heading our way.
My hand reached down to dig around in my pocket to grab a carton of cigarettes that I found on a recent run, pulling out a lighter right along with it. Smoking every once and a while was something that I enjoyed, though I didn't do it enough to get fully addicted to it. Too much commitment for something that was bound to kill me.
My fingers fished around for one in the small box before pulling it out fully, placing it in my mouth and lighting it. As I inhaled it, I heard someone open the door and slowly make their way up the stairs to join me. My eyes stayed forward as I listened to them move, feeling them plop down beside me with a huff, not even really needed to look over to know who it was. At firs there was just silence between us, though I could tell he was dying to get something off of his chest.
"It's negative." he breathed.
I inhaled another puff and blew it out with a small sigh, "Jesus..." I muttered.
"Yeah," he chuckled, "Jesus is right."
I looked over at him with a sad smile as I took in the expression on his face, "Are you...sad? Relieved?" I asked.
"Relieved," he said quickly with a nod, "Definitely relieved. I don't know...I just- I just don't know if I want to bring a baby into this world if I can help it."
I nodded in understanding, "Does she know that?"
"Yeah, we talked about it. But..." he trailed off.
I gave him a look, "...But?"
He took in a breath, popping his knuckles anxiously before finally getting the words out, "But...that's something she might want in the future."
"She wants a kid?" I asked softly.
"Yeah, yeah, I think so. We've just never talked about it before the scare happened and...I guess I didn't think she would want one because of everything that's going on now. Everything that we've had to adapt to." he said.
My eyes scanned him for a moment before I leaned in to rest my head against his shoulder, feeling his head fall instinctively on top of mine. I blew out a puff of smoke, fidgeting with the death stick in my hands as my mind contemplated the things he was saying.
"Well...talk about it. See if you can compromise and wait a few years, or come up with a plan for the future. But no matter what, everything's going be okay." I eventually spoke, pausing for a moment as I thought to myself, "I personally think you would make a great dad."
He lifted his head to look down at me, "Really?" he asked softly.
I looked up at him, "Yeah...you're pretty cool I guess." I teased.
He smiled as I rested my head on his shoulder again, feeling him kiss the top of my head in silent appreciation of my words. We then sat in comfortable silence as I let him process everything that happened within the last day or so. I could tell he'd been thinking about it constantly, stressing himself out to no end. I guess a part of me was relieved that it was negative too, because it could give him some time to figure out how to go about this with Maggie instead of just jumping right in.
A small gasp then left his lips as if he had forgotten something, feeling him move his hand to the side of his jacket and, to my surprise, pulled out a camera right in front of my face.
I sat up a bit straighter upon seeing it, "Woah, where did you find that?" I asked.
"In the Big Spot, I managed to take it with me." he smiled.
I took it from his grasp as my eyes roamed around it, "That's awesome."
He then quickly took it back from my hands as he turned it on, "Well, the reason I brought it up here in the first place was to get a picture with you."
"Well, that's sweet of you." I said, watching his face light up, "But I hate pictures." I finished, seeing him immediately frown which caused me to laugh a little.
"Oh, come on Rose, just one picture. You don't even have to look at it." he pleaded.
I stared at the camera in his hands before slowly panning back up to him, seeing how happy he looked. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the amount of power he had over me.
"Fine." I muttered bitterly.
He smiled brightly and held out the camera so it got both of us in the frame, and quickly snapped a picture, the flash slightly blinding me as I blinked rapidly. I saw the film come out of it and he grabbed it, shaking it a few times so the photo would develop.
From another perspective, I understood why Glenn grabbed the camera when he had the chance. He wanted to capture memories and be able to actually look back on them. But I was never a huge fan of pictures. I never liked the way I looked in them and never had a reason to look back on my shitty life, so I guess I wasn't used to the idea of taking any.
He showed me the photo once it was finally done and to my surprise, I didn't hate it. We were both smiling brightly whilst his arm was wrapped tightly around my shoulders. It was actually a pretty good picture.
"Okay, one more," he said.
I rolled my eyes, "Oh no, you said one and you got one. That's enough."
"Come on," he drug out, "This one's just going to be of you."
"Yeah, that'll make me change my mind," I laughed, "No way."
He stared at me for a few seconds, debating whether to argue back or not, "Fine." he said with a slight sigh and began to examine the picture that he did take of us.
I smiled smugly before looking back out to scan the area as my eyes were diverted from it for longer than they should've been. I lifted the cigarette up to my lips again to take another long drag and slowly blew the smoke out as my eyes scanned the forest. But a sudden click and a flash of light is what made me whip my head back in Glenn's direction again, seeing him sitting there with widened eyes as he had just been caught, the film printing out slowly and awkwardly.
"Hey asshole." I exclaimed as I tried to reach for the picture, but he quickly held it up high, my fingertips barely brushing against it.
He started to laugh and stood up quickly to get a better look at it, and I was quick to follow his actions. I stood straight up with the intention of ripping it out of his hands, but stopped suddenly when I glanced over his shoulder at the photograph. I almost didn't recognize myself. The picture was simple; just me sitting there whilst blowing out the smoke from my lips and looking content, but I thought it was a good one.
"Artsy." he spoke proudly before looking back down at me and saw the look in my eyes, "You want it?"
I nodded, "Actually yeah...thanks." I said as he handed me the photo, my eyes scanning over it once more.
"You look badass." he complimented.
I rolled my eyes sarcastically, "Thanks."
He laughed quietly, "Alright well, I'm going to go take care of some stuff and quit bothering you. But this," he held up the picture of us, "This going to hang in my cell."
I scoffed as he started to head towards the door, "You're going to be the death of me." I called out.
"I doubt it!" he called back.
I smirked as I placed the picture back in my pocket, turning back around and leaning my elbows on the bars as I lazily finished the rest of my shift.

After another few hours of being on watch, I decided to call it a day since the sun was now nowhere to be found in the sky. Nothing interesting happened and I felt myself starting to feel a little down, but then I realized it was probably because I hadn't seen Daryl all day. How sad is that? I've gotten so used to seeing him all the time that now when I don't see him for just a few hours, I miss him as if he lives miles and miles away from me. Makes me sick.
It made me wonder however if he went out to hunt at all today because I could've sworn I never saw him outside. Though I brushed the thought away and made my way inside to try and see if I could find him. I asked around to a few people but none of them had seen him recently, so I figured I'd head into our cell and just read for a little bit until he came in for the night.
Although when I finally made it back to our room, I could hear a shuffling sound coming from inside and I started to grow a little concerned. It didn't sound like someone was going through our stuff, but it sounded like someone was walking around the small space rather quickly.
I hesitantly pushed the curtain open to see none other than Daryl, pacing back and forth, holding something small in his hands. The moment he heard me come in, he froze where he stood with wide eyes. I could've laughed at his expression because he quite literally looked like a deer in headlights, but instead I only grew confused at what he was panicking about.
My eyes then traveled down to see what he was holding, and my mouth fell open a little. There in his hands was one of the pregnancy tests I had taken from the store, and I just knew he had to be losing his mind. But before I had a chance to explain, he spoke first.
"Rosie... are ya-"
"No." I interrupted quickly before he could say anything else, "No, I'm not."
He sighed deeply in obvious relief and slowly sunk himself down onto the bed, "Then why did ya have these?" he asked softly while holding it up in the air.
"Just in case." I shrugged, "I figured it's always good to have a few in case something happens." I paused as I took in his facial expression, sighing to myself as I stepped further into the room. "I'm sorry... you probably just had a heart attack."
He shook his head, "Nah...you don't gotta apologize, darlin. Just...didn't expect to see that today." he breathed as he let out a light chuckle.
I smiled sympathetically, "Yeah, I bet." I spoke, moving myself to stand in between his legs.
He brought me in closer as he wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head against my stomach. My hands went up to massage his head and I could feel him breathe in and out deeply, probably still trying to recover from the unexpected scare. He stayed silent for a long moment however, seemingly deep in thought as I saw him briefly chew on his bottom lip.
"Do...do ya think we're ready?" he hesitantly asked.
I froze again and he could tell I tensed up, as he moved his head to glance up and see my facial expression. It wasn't like we were getting any younger, but a part of me still wanted to wait at least another year or two before we started trying at all. I liked the way things were right now, and with the whole Glenn freak out, that kind of put me back a few steps as I knew he made some good points about not being fully ready.
"I-I don't think I'm ready." I stammered out.
"That's okay." he immediately reassured, "Just haven't talked bout it in a while. Wanted ta make sure we're on the same page."
"We are." I nodded, "That's just something I think we should move on in the future. Like...in the way far future." I laughed.
He nodded, "That's okay." he repeated, "I sure as hell ain't in a rush."
I smiled as I ran my thumb across his cheekbone lightly, leaning down to place a brief kiss on his lips before pulling back slightly to speak again, "I never would've guessed you wanted to have kids just by looking at you." I pointed out.
"I never did...till I met you." he said.
"Really?" I questioned, feeling my face soften as I gazed at him.
He nodded, "Only want kids if it means m' havin 'em with you."
I felt my smile grow as I leaned down to kiss him once more. This man always had some other way to make me fall more in love with him, but it worked every damn time.
As I pulled away, I whispered, "I love you." against his lips.
"I love ya too." he replied, giving my hips a small squeeze, "Ya tired? Ya wanna get some sleep?" he asked sweetly, knowing I had been out for a while.
I simply nodded as I pulled back from him, looking to find some comfier clothes to sleep in for the night. Removing my knives from around me, I placed them on the dresser in the corner of the room before finding a larger shirt to slip over my head.
My hands went to remove my clothes when I suddenly remembered the amount of shit I still had in my pockets. I quickly emptied them, taking out a tiny blade, cigarettes, a lighter, and the picture Glenn took of me, placing them all on the surface as well.
Although I paused and took a second to glance at the photo again and felt a small smile sneak onto my face. I felt confident with myself for the first time in... probably ever.
"What's that?" Daryl's voice suddenly asked from over my shoulder.
I jumped in surprise and turned to face him with the photo behind my back, "Nothing." I replied a little too quickly.
He raised his eyebrows, "Nothin, huh?" he asked. I nodded my head in response, hearing him mutter a small "Alright." as he started to turn back around.
But as soon as I let my guard down for a split second, he quickly reached behind my back and easily snatched the picture from my grasp. My eyes widened and I cursed under my breath as I attempted to reach up and grab it back, but he held it high above his head so I couldn't reach it.
I could only attempt so many times before I finally gave up and huffed in frustration at his stubborn ass. "Asshole." I muttered under my breath, but he only chuckled at my attempt to reach it.
I then didn't fight it anymore and watched as he lowered the picture and began to examine it. His eyes slightly widened, clearly taken off guard as he didn't expect it to be what it was. But he only continued to stare intently at it for nearly minutes, leaving me waiting impatiently until he was done so I could have it back. But he couldn't seem to pull his eyes away.
After a few more seconds he just muttered, "Wow."
I fidgeted with my hands anxiously as he still stared at the picture. And his lack of words wasn't really coming in handy right now.
"Ya look beautiful...like an angel." he continued, now finally looking back up at me.
I felt my cheeks heat up in slight embarrassment, "Thanks," I said awkwardly, "Can I have it back now?" I asked, sticking my hand out to him.
He gently grabbed it in his own and turned it around so he could place a kiss on my knuckles, before smiling, "No."
My eyebrows flew up, "No?"
"Nope, this is mine now." he said while waving it around.
"What? No!" I exclaimed as I attempted to reach for it again.
"Oh yeah," he said smugly, pulling it back from my hand, "I don't have any pictures of ya, so it's mine." he spoke before giving me a cheeky smile.
I scoffed, "Well, I don't have a picture of you."
"Nah, that's different."
"How?" I asked while placing my hands on my hips.
He held the picture back up so I could see it, "I ain't this beautiful." he said before taking the picture back and placing it in his pocket.
My eyes narrowed at him, "You're impossible."
"And you're gorgeous." he said sweetly, leaning in to press a lingering kiss on my cheek.
I rolled my eyes at his actions, mostly because he and I both knew he would be able to sweet talk his way out of this one. I playfully pushed him away from me, "Whatever."
He smiled in victory before leaning in again to leave a kiss on the tip of my nose, finally moving away to settle in under the covers. I mentally kicked myself because I always tried to stay annoyed when he pissed me off, but it never really worked out in the end. Especially when he's too damn sweet. In all honesty I didn't really mind if he kept the picture, but now I knew for sure I was never getting it back. Damn Dixon.

Chapter 11 | Masterlist
For the first week I was lost. The only reason I really got up was to feed Calypso which is what I named my new fish or to eat. I was still upset with Jake, or myself.I didn’t quite know. Part of me wants to ask him, but I couldn’t get a hold of him even if I wanted to. The other part of me is screaming that it’s not my fault he’s mad at me. He couldn’t be mad that I went to Phoenix’s. I left because of him and Kelly and I didn’t force him to lay on the couch and wait for me. But every day while I lay here I can’t help but think I did something wrong, and that’s the reason he didn’t wake me up. That I did something that pissed him off to the point he didn’t want to see me before he left for six weeks. My emotions were everywhere. One minute I was angry, the next I would cry, and sometimes I just didn’t care. If he didn’t want to see me, I don’t want to see him. There was one point for all of an hour I considered moving out but that was shot down quickly when I realized that I had no money, all of my friends were gone besides Kelly, and I probably couldn’t make it on my own if I tried. I finally dragged myself out of the bed roughly a week after they were deployed and went downstairs for lunch, seeing as I slept through breakfast. That’s another thing I realized, my sleep schedule is all out of whack. I usually get up when Jake gets back from his morning run, but without him here, I’ve been sleeping till all hours of the day. Once downstairs I opened the fridge and peered inside. I glanced through it and the freezer, finding we really only had vegetables and things for sides. No real food.
I huffed and realized I had to go to the grocery store. So I stormed upstairs, pissed that my plans changed so suddenly. I didn’t want to go anywhere today. I wanted to stay here and finish up my last book and maybe find a movie to watch, but now I had to go to the damn store. I took what I thought was a quick shower, it was actually forty-five minutes. I was losing all sense of time. A simple shower and getting ready should only take me an hour or so, especially now that my hair is shorter. But it took me two hours to get ready. I simply blow dried my hair, put on some mascara in hopes I’d feel normal, and slipped on a light blue t-shirt dress. It was so hot outside today, I couldn’t even imagine wearing pants. I grabbed my glasses and slid them on before making my way downstairs. Jake told me a few days before he left that he was leaving me his credit card. I know he told me he was leaving it in one of the cabinets, tucked away but I couldn’t find it. I shoved my hand in every cabinet and even grabbed the step stool to look up on the top shelves. I was pretty sure Jake wouldn’t put it up that high but I had to check.
I still hadn’t found it and I was so frustrated I could’ve screamed. I looked under the stack of mail, moved things around on the counter, wondering if it fell and after half an hour I still hadn’t found it. Rage bubbled within me. Where the hell did he fucking put it? It’s not like I could call him and ask where it was. I let out a yell of frustration and became even more angry when I saw the card and a note on the other side of the kitchen, tucked between the coffee pot and the wall. “I don’t know why the fuck he thought that was a good idea.” I sneered, slamming my hand down on the card and tucking it in my wallet before looking at the note. ‘Get whatever you want or need, darlin’. Plenty of money on it.’ I scoffed, crumpling it up and tossing it into the trash can. Darlin’ my ass. Even the nice words and the name pissed me off. I grabbed his truck keys and my purse before making my way out to his truck. I got in and shut the door, turning the ignition. The vents blasted hot air at first but then cooled down pretty quick. “Fucking mountain.” I remarked as I slowly moved the seat closer to the steering wheel. Once I was all situated I backed out of the driveway and drove out of the little neighborhood and towards the store. I was still mad, so much so I turned the radio off completely. I usually blast music but I just needed a silent drive. I was heading for the closest little market which was about fifteen minutes away. I didn’t want to be out longer than necessary.
I leaned my elbow on the door and propped my head up as I pulled up to a red light. I sat there, waiting forever for the light to change and looked out my window. The car next to me looked slightly familiar, the silver color reflecting the sun off of it and into my eyes. But as I leaned over I caught sight of the familiar face of my mother. Thankfully, Jake’s truck sat higher than her car so as she looked out the passenger window she only saw the black exterior of the truck. I slammed back in my seat, hoping she didn’t just see me. My heart thudded in my chest and I squeezed my eyes shut as I attempted to calm myself. The honking of a horn made my eyes fly open and I slammed my foot on the gas, speeding off. Seeing my mother made me realize that I was about to go to the same grocery store as her and I quickly changed where I was heading. I drove an additional twenty minutes to the target on the north end of San Diego and felt a little better. I knew my parents never traveled farther than they had to, but I still felt uneasy. I walked into the store, opting for coffee from starbucks before I started my shopping. Although, coupled with the anxiety I just experienced it was probably a bad idea. But I didn’t care. I took my large coffee cup and grabbed a buggy before turning for the back of the store where the food sat.
I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder occasionally, fearing one of my parents would be right behind me. I grabbed things such as ground beef, chicken, pasta, a few microwave or one pot meals. I took my time, scouring the aisles for anything I may need or want. As one person, cooking big meals was almost a waste so finding ways to cook single servings was the best way to go. With Jake I could make a full meal and he’d eat over half by himself. I left the grocery section, heading straight over to the book section and looked around every aisle. I found a few books that piqued my interest, one of them was called Twisted Love and the other, A Court Of Thorns and Roses. I was into older romance stories, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Princess Bride but I felt like I should try something else. So I went for a more modern romance and a fantasy. I thought back to Jake’s note, ‘Get whatever you want or need.’ Smirking, I grabbed a few others that seemed interesting and went to check out. Once I paid I loaded everything into the car and decided to stop at Five Guys for a burger, fries and a milkshake and rushed home. The closer I got to the house, the more nervous I got. Seeing my mom made me realize I didn’t go far. Bumping into them is very much a real threat and now I understand why Jake was cautious about where he took me.
Once I was home I rushed to get everything inside and locked the door behind me. I sighed in relief, knowing I was home and there was no way I could bump into my mother. Once everything was put away I sat on the couch with my food, deciding to eat while I watched a movie. One Natasha suggested was the Princess Bride. I had read the book dozens of times but I had never seen the movie. So I sat, ate and attempted to forget my mothers face. I thought I was totally safe here, but it’s not like I ran off to another country, I basically ran down the road. But as I sit here, a full stomach and my sweet tooth curbed, I can’t help but worry that my parents really know where I am. I tried to not worry, but it seems to be something I’m good at. Halfway through the movie I decided to lay down on the couch, maybe a nap would do me good. As the movie was coming to a close I could feel the exhaustion creeping in on me.
A loud bang woke me up and I jumped up in fear. The banging was coming from the front door, I could see it shaking from the force. I stared at it as I slowly stood from the couch, making my way over the window. I moved the curtains and the blinds only to see blackness. It was the type of black you see in underground tunnels and caves, you can’t see your hand in front of your face, the type that seeps into your bones and scares you to the core. I couldn’t even see the white railings that lined the front porch. The banging continued and I walked over, standing on my toes to look out the peephole. As I did so the banging stopped but I looked out the peephole to once again, find blackness. I sighed and lowered myself off my toes just as the wood on the door splintered and a large hand came through, grabbing the front of my dress and slamming me face first into the door before letting me go. I fell to the floor scrambling away from the door as the hand reached for the locks and turned them. The door slowly swung open to reveal my father. Everything was silent, save for my heaving breaths as I tried to breathe and fight the tears back. He simply stood there and I took the opportunity to get up and run. I went for the back door but it was gone. Why was it gone?! The garage door through the kitchen was gone as well and I panicked, rushing for the stairs. I would go into my room and lock the door before scaling down the lattice by my window. But as I started up the stairs my father was suddenly before me. His hand shot out before smacking me clear across the face and sending me head first into the banister before tumbling backwards down the stairs.
Pain blossomed across my face as I sat up with a yell. I pulled my hand away to see blood on it and the carpet. “Oh, it was just a dream.” I sighed out. I heard my phone buzz and saw it was a facetime from Bradley. Excitement swelled within me and I immediately answered. “Hang on.” I called, standing and rushing to the bathroom with my phone. “Well hello to you too.” He remarked. “Everything okay?” He asked. “Yeah, I just had a nightmare and I’ve seemed to roll off the couch and I hit my nose on the coffee table.” I answered as I wiped the blood from my face. “Let me see?” He asked and I sighed, propping up the phone so he could see me. “Damn.” That’ll probably bruise.” He said. “I know.” It went quiet for a moment before he spoke up. “What was the nightmare about?” He asked. “My dad broke in. All the doors disappeared so I was forced up the stairs…” I trailed off. “Then he smacked me and sent me backwards down the stairs. I must’ve been moving around a lot on the couch and fell off, smacking my face on the coffee table.” I said.
“How often do you have nightmares?” He asked. “I haven’t had them in a few weeks. But…” He raised a brow at me. “But what?” He asked. I chewed on my bottom lip. “I went to the store today and when I stopped at a red light… I saw my mom.” He was silent, his lips pursed in a line and I couldn’t quite tell his emotions. “Are you sure it was her?” He asked and I nodded. “One hundred percent positive.” “And did she see you?” He asked and I shook my head. “I don’t think so. At least, she didn’t look right at me.” I said. “Good.” He said and I walked out of the bathroom and into my room where I flopped down onto my bed. “Woah, your bed’s not made?” He asked and I shook my head. “Nope.” I was usually uptight about my bed. It had to be made or else I wouldn't sleep good. Sleeping in an already messy bed stressed me out for some reason. “Katie? How long have you been in bed?” He asked and a blush crept up my cheeks. “Don’t lie to me.” He added. “Today was the first day I really got up.” I answered. “God. Hangman is gonna lose his mind.” He said and I sat up. “You aren’t gonna say shit to him.” I said and he raised a brow. “He doesn’t get to know every little thing that’s going on with me, especially since he left without waking me, saying goodbye, nothing.” I spat.
“I’m sensing some anger.” He said. “If you were getting deployed, and you asked someone if you should wake them up the next morning to go to the docks with you or at least say goodbye, would you do it?” He raised a brow as if that was a dumb question. “Of course I would.” He answered before he gasped. “Jake didn’t say goodbye.” I shook my head. “No, he didn’t and I can’t help but think it’s because he’s mad at me. But I didn’t force him to sleep on the couch and wait for me to come home.” I had started pacing at this point, my phone propped up on my pillow so he could see me. “Wait, what am I missing?” He asked and I realized he probably has no idea what I’m talking about. I flopped onto the bed, lying on my stomach as I looked at my phone. “The night before you guys left, I heard Jake and Kelly… having sex.” His eyebrows shot up. “That’s weird, Hangman says Kelly is always worried someone would hear and he can hardly get her to say a word in bed.” I brushed it off. “Yeah, well she didn’t seem to care that night. But I went to Natasha's for a while. I felt like I was intruding but I came back home really late and he was asleep on the couch.” Bradley hummed and nodded. “He didn’t seem mad when he got up. He asked if I wanted him to wake me up before he left and I said yes, but then I woke up and y’all were long gone.” I said, letting my head fall to my mattress.
“Katie, I don’t think he did it out of spite.” He said and I huffed. “Then why else would he leave without saying goodbye? It makes no sense!” He shrugged. “I-I don’t know. It’s so unlike him.” He said and I heard a door open on his end. I sniffled, wiping my tears before they fell. “Aw, Katie. Don’t cry, please.” He said and I sat up, sitting cross legged in front of my phone. “Katie?” I groaned as I heard Jake’s voice on the other end. “What’s wrong? C’mon darlin’, talk to me!” He said and I scoffed, scowling and I flipped my phone face down on the comforter. “Katie?” Jake called. “What the fuck did you do to her?” I assume his question was towards Bradley. “What did I do? I think you might want to be asking yourself that, bagman.” Bradley snapped back. “Me?!” He asked, shocked. “Katie, darlin’. Talk to me please.” I knew it was childish, the way I was acting, but I knew if I even looked at him I would give in. “Katie, c’mon. You’re scaring me, I’m worried.”
I grabbed the phone, flipping it over and glaring at him through the screen. He seemed to notice the anger in my eyes and leaned back in surprise. “Oh, you’re worried? Bless your heart.” I said before setting my phone back down. “Wha-You-” He stumbled over his words until he found the right ones. “You don’t get to insult me like that!” He called out and I rolled my eyes. “This is my call with her you know, not yours.” I grabbed my phone again. “Yeah, this is mine and Bradley’s call. So why don’t you find something else to do, without saying goodbye.” I snapped and Bradley snickered at Jake’s confusion. “What?” Bradley laughed at him. “Just leave us alone, Jake. I don’t want to talk to you right now.” I said and Bradley snatched the phone. “Yeah, she doesn’t wanna talk to you.” He said, walking out of his and Jake’s room. “You know he’s going to pout all day.” He said and I rolled my eyes. “Let him. Like I care.” I spat and he just grinned at me. “You know you care.” He said and while I wouldn’t admit it, I do hate making Jake feel bad but I’m so angry with him. “Can we change the subject?” I asked and he nodded with a smile. “Wanna see something?” He asked and I nodded. He turned the phone around and I saw a beautiful view of the ocean and what seemed to be a sun rise. “Oh my god.” I gasped out. “Bradley, it’s beautiful.” I said and he turned the phone back around, a giant grin on his face. “Isn’t it?” He asked and I nodded.
“Hey, Bradley?” I asked and he hummed in acknowledgement. "Why did you use your call on me?" I asked and he just smiled. "Truth?" I nodded. "I've never had anyone to call on deployments." My heart broke for him. I could never imagine being so far away for so long and never having anyone to call and talk to. "I knew Hangman would use his calls to talk to Kelly, so I wanted to call you. Keep you updated, and just talk to you." He said with a grin. "With an answer like that, Jake may believe you really do have romantic feelings for me." I joked and he laughed. "If it gets him to admit his own feelings then good!" I gave him a small smile. "He doesn't have feelings for me, Rooster. Besides, if he did he wouldn’t have left without at least leaving a note.” I said. “You just don’t see it.” I scoffed. “See what? The way he looks at his girlfriend?” I asked, chuckling at the end. “I’m telling you, Katie. There’s something there.” I rolled my eyes at him and we continued our conversation, without the mention of Jake. Once we were done I went upstairs and got ready for bed. My nose still hurts from my fall and I’m sure I would have a nasty bruise just like Bradley said. But thankfully, I’m ninety-nine percent sure that it is not broken. As I laid in bed that night I couldn’t help but realize some of my anger had faded away. Jake telling me he was worried, made me a little pleased. It was so easy for me to give in to him and all because of my own stupid feelings. But I couldn’t just let this go so easily, couldn’t be weak. My thoughts cast me off into sleep, one that thankfully was nightmare free.
I spent the next few days reading and trying to think of what else to do with my time. I had my next therapy session in two weeks and I quickly remembered I told Dr. Davis I would apply to some nursing programs. So I spent a few days applying to a few programs, ones that I would have a decent chance of getting in. The thought of going back to school scared me, but I knew that I would regret not even trying. I was cleaning a few days later, about a week after Bradley called me when the doorbell rang. I froze in the middle of my mopping and looked out of the kitchen and towards the front door. I slowly stalked forwards, standing on my toes and looking out the peephole. I was relieved to see Kelly’s face, looking straight at the door so I swung it open with a large smile. “Hi!” I greeted cheerfully. She gave me a small smile and stepped inside. She hung up her purse like usual and walked into the kitchen. “Oh! Be careful! I was in the middle of mopping!” I called, following after her. She didn’t seem to notice nor care as she traipsed across the clean floors and opened the fridge. “No beer?” She asked and I shook my head. “I don’t drink it.” I said. “Well Jake does.” I nodded, a little caught off guard by her stern tone. “Well he finished the last of them before he left and I plan to get some closer to the time of him coming home.” I responded as she pulled out a water bottle.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked and she hummed. “Is Jake mad at me?” I asked. She pursed her lips, sighing. “I wouldn’t say mad. More annoyed.” My face and hopes fell. “Oh…” I said. “It’s just… you’re always around.” She said. “We keep trying for alone time and you’re just there. Like the night before he shipped out. We had to change up everything so as not to disturb you and you still left.” I bit my lip, looking down at my bare feet. “I’m sorry. If you had asked me to leave I would’ve.” I replied. “But we shouldn’t have to.” She snapped and my head hung even more if possible. “You just follow Jake around like a lost puppy and it’s even getting on my nerves.” She said and I furrowed my brows. “Does it bother Jake?” I asked. “Of course it bothers him!” She said loudly. “It bothers the both of us.” I opened my mouth to reply but didn’t know what to say. “Maybe it’s time you find somewhere else to live.” She said and I could practically feel myself go pale. “I think I'd rather talk to Jake about this.” I said, standing tall. “It is his house and he did invite me to stay… So I’ll talk to him about it.” She scoffed. “He’s going to tell you the same thing I just did. Better to leave before he gets home and avoid the awkwardness.” She grinned at me and all the anger that I’ve had pent up came to the surface. My fists clenched at my sides, my nails making crescent shapes in my palms.
“Is that all you have to say?” I asked, the anger evident in my voice. She just grinned at me. “Did I strike a nerve?” She asked mockingly. “Yeah. You fucking did.” She seemed surprised by my honesty. “I don’t know what kind of satisfaction you’re getting from coming here and telling me these things, but you're done.” I snapped. “It’s not your house.” She said, taking a step closer. “It’s not yours either.” Her face fell. She thought she was clever. “Now please leave.” Her eyes glanced at my fists and she noticed the shaking. “I will leave you with this reminder. Jake is my boyfriend and you will never take him from me.” I scoffed in her face. “And I’ll leave you with a reminder. The world does not revolve around you and I don’t want your fucking boyfriend. You can keep him and I hope that you have the life you deserve with him.” I sneered. “Now leave.” She stood before me, her face mere inches from my own. Her breath fanned against my face and I could smell alcohol. “And brush your fucking teeth when you get home. That’s disgusting.” Her hand immediately flew to her mouth before she stormed towards the door. She grabbed her purse from the hook but it got caught and instead of lifting it, she yanked it and the force pulled the board with the hooks off the wall. “Fuck you!” I yelled as she slammed the door behind her. “Now I have to clean this shit up.”
A few hours later I had cleaned everything up and finished the rest of the house before pouring myself a glass of wine. Before I could even take my first sip my phone started ringing and as I lifted it, Jake’s name flashed across the screen. I slammed it down on the table and stared at it. I took a sip and was going to let it continue to ring, but decided to answer at the last second. “Hey, darlin’.” He said with a big smile and I propped my phone up. “We need to talk.” My voice was stern and it shocked him. “What happened to your nose? What’s going on?” He asked. “My nose doesn’t matter. If you wanted me gone Jake, you should’ve fucking told me. What did you just want a house sitter while you were gone? Just decided to wait till you came home to tell me to find somewhere else to live?” I snapped. “What are you talking about?” He asked, brows furrowing. “Don’t play dumb. Kelly told me how I was getting on your nerves and that I need to find somewhere else to live.” His eyebrows shot up and he leaned back slightly. “Woah! Hold on!” I shook my head. “No! You should’ve told me! If you want me gone, if you’re mad that I’m interrupting your alone time with your girlfriend, you should’ve told me!” I yelled out as I stood. “I can be reasonable if you’re honest with me! But dammit, Jake! I have spent so much of my life around lies, I can’t just let that go!” “Katie. Darlin’-” “Don’t fucking call me that.” I interrupted and he nodded. “Katie. I never lied to you and I never would. I don’t know what Kelly was saying, but I sent her over there to check on you.”
“She sure checked in! Busted up in here and told me all about how I was wrecking your relationship and that I needed to find somewhere else to live, and how you’re her boyfriend and I will never steal you from her. Newsflash, I don’t fucking want you.” I snapped. Saying that to Kelly didn’t phase me, but saying it to Jake, that hurt. “Wait what?” He asked loudly. “Yeah. So you get your wish. I won’t be here when you get home.” I said. “No! Katie? Katie please!” He yelled as I stood up. “What?” If steam could be rolling out of my ears, I'm sure it would. I was shaking. I was so mad. But also upset. I should've known better than to hold out hope that this would work out. Nobody can handle you. You run every one off. “Darlin’, please. Don’t leave.” His eyes were misty as tears filled them and a part of me felt bad. “Please. Don’t leave.” Was he… begging? “Why shouldn’t I?” I asked. “Because whatever Kelly said, it’s a lie. I didn’t lie, she is.” I furrowed my brows. “You’re calling your own girlfriend a liar?” I asked, surprised. “Yes. Because she’s lying. I don’t want you to leave. Katie, if anything I never want you to leave. I’ve grown so used to having you in the house and I don’t want you to leave.”
“Wh-why don’t you stay there and we’ll talk when I get home.” I sat back, huffing. “Jake-” “Katie. Please.” He said sternly. “Please, just stay.” My jaw tensed. “I will be here when you get home. But we are having a talk that day, no putting it off.” He nodded. “Good. Great!” He said. “But if I want to leave, you won’t stop me.” I said and his face fell. “If I stay we have to have a serious talk about what we’re gonna do moving forward because I am so fucking tired of assuming you’re angry with me everytime I turn around.” I said, tears of my own forming. “Katie, I’ve never been remotely angry with you.” He said and I sighed. “Let’s talk when you come home. I’m exhausted.” I said and he nodded. “Alright, darlin’. I’ll see you in four weeks.” He said. “Bye, Jake.” He barely said goodbye before I hung up and chugged the entire glass of wine. This was going to be a long four weeks. I thought before getting up and grabbing the bottle. “Might as well keep this nearby.” I muttered as I strolled over to the couch, flopping down on it.
The following week was my therapy appointment and as soon as I sat down in Dr. Davis’ office, my leg was shaking. “I’m sorry I was late. I can’t seem to get myself together lately.” I said and she shook her head. “No! It’s okay, it was one minute!” She said but I couldn’t help but feel like she was actually upset with me. “Are you sure?” I asked. “I’m not upset or frustrated with you if that’s what you're asking.” She said. “Do you often feel like people are upset with you?” She asked and I nodded. “Let’s talk about that.” I explained everything, from my parents constantly being upset with me, to feeling like Jake is angry with me. We had started EMDR which was a little weird at first. My eyes were closed and I was tapping my knees in a steady rhythm, “I didn’t tell him why I thought he was mad.” She hummed and immediately I felt nauseous. “Are you okay?” She asked as I opened my eyes. “No, I feel nauseous.” She nodded, jotting some stuff down. “You seem to feel everything physically. The dizziness, the nausea.” She said and I took a few deep breaths, the nausea slowly subsiding.
“How do you feel about the situation with Jake now?” She asked. “It’s an eight.” She nodded. “Good! We started at a ten and we’ve already gotten it down to an eight! Just remember you may not feel like this is resolved until you talk to him.” I nodded. “Now, let’s talk about nursing school.” She said and I practically jumped in my seat. “Yes! I applied to three programs!” She smiled. “Good, which ones?” She asked and I told her. “Those aren’t very respected schools. Their graduation rates are low.” She said. “Yeah but… I struggle in school, a lot, and I think these are the only ones that will take me.” She shook her head and started writing. “I want you to apply to these two schools.” She said and handed me the paper. “San Diego State University, University of San Diego? These are the best schools in the city.” She nodded. “I don’t think I’ll get in.” She just smiled at me. “You’ll never know until you try.” She said and I stared at the paper. Once I apply to these two I will have applied to five. “What if I don’t get into any of them?” I asked. “Then we’ll figure out what to do in the meantime and if you want, you can apply again next year.” With that my session was over and I walked out to the truck, the paper clutched in my hand. Once I got in and got the air flowing I looked down at it. “She’s crazy to think I will get in.”
I set the paper down on the table when I got home. I couldn’t think about it right now, my mind was swirling between Jake, the Kelly issue and school. I decided to get lost in a book, I decided to open up Twisted Love. Maybe a little romance will make me feel better. I laid on the couch as I read and had wine and pizza for dinner. It took me a few days to work up the courage to apply and it was Bradley who convinced me too. “So why haven’t you applied?” He asked as I sat on the couch eating a sandwich. “What if I don’t get in?” I asked. “Sounds like a dumb reason to not apply.” He said, making me frown. “You think?” I asked and he nodded. “I know. You should apply! If they say no then you can always apply again next year.” He said and I sighed. “But what will I do if I don’t get in? I can’t just sit around and wait a whole year.” He chuckled. “We’ll figure something out. Why don’t you just do it?” He asked. “I guess I really don’t have a reason not to.” He nodded. “If anything, you have every reason to do it.” He was right. “Okay, I’ll do it once we get off the phone.” I said. “Just so you know, Jake has been pouting since your call.” He said and I giggled. “You haven’t told him?” I asked and he grinned at me. “Absolutely not. I’m enjoying this way too much.” He said. “Has he asked?” He nodded. “At least once a day, and when he realized I knew why you were mad he’s taken to practically begging me to tell him.” I giggled at his words.
“Well I guess it’s almost time for you to go to bed.” He said as I yawned and then I nodded. “Yeah, but I’m gonna send in those two applications before I go to bed.” I said. “You sure you’re not too tired?” He asked and I nodded. “I’ll sleep better if I go ahead and send them in. They’ve been stressing me out every time I think about them.” I said. “Makes sense. Well I’ll let you send those in and I’ll call you next week.” He said. “Alright. Bye, Bradley.” I said and he waved before the call ended. I took a deep breath before going upstairs and going into Jake’s room. It smelled like him and always made me feel better. I snagged his laptop that he’s been allowing me to use and went downstairs. I sat on the couch for an hour sending these two in before I got ready for bed. I put Jake’s laptop back in his room and turned to leave but I stopped in the doorway. Smelling his cologne brought me comfort and I hadn’t been sleeping the best. Maybe I could just snag one of his shirts. I made my way to his dresser and opened the drawer, it was mostly boxers and socks so I closed it and opened the one below it.
I found a burnt orange longhorn shirt and it smelled strongly of Jake. Is it weird for me to wear his shirt? “It’ll be washed and back in his drawer before he ever gets home.” I took the shirt into my room and slipped it on. I looked in my mirror and honestly, I looked good in his shirt and white thong. If Kelly ever found out she’d lose it, but who gives a fuck what she thinks anymore. I crawled into bed and grabbed my book again. I was about halfway through the book and was growing tired until I read the words, ‘On your knees.’ My face burned and I closed the book. “Did I just read that?” I had never read smut before and part of me felt embarrassed. The other part of me had to continue. So I opened the book back up and read on. My entire body was burning as I read and with the smell coming from the shirt I had on, I could only think of Jake and I. Specifically, Jake and I in this situation. An entire weekend hidden away to do nothing but explore each other’s bodies. “Oh my god.” I said, slamming the book shut. “I did not just think that.” I said before setting the book down and rolling over in bed. “I just have to put it out of my mind.” I muttered but it took forever to fall asleep, the ache between my legs was strong but finally I drifted off. But of course Jake was an ever present figure in my dream.
After that I couldn’t pick the book back up, so I started A Court of Thorns and Roses instead. But at this point I also couldn’t fall asleep without wearing Jake’s shirt, so all night his scent wafted around me and he was constantly in my dreams. It was about three days after I sent in the applications that I started receiving emails about the nursing programs. So far I was asked to come in and interview for two and as I prepared dinner, my phone dinged again with another email. I wiped my hands clean and picked up my phone. I opened the email and smiled, ‘Miss Blair, congratulations on moving on to the next stage of the application process. We would love to have you in for a panel interview next week to see if you would be a good candidate for our program.’ I squealed as I looked at the logo for San Diego State University. Between them, United States University and the University of San Diego, I had to get into one, right? I immediately sent an email to Bradley and Natasha in my excitement, but I asked them to keep it quiet. I wanted to email Jake so badly, but I was still so mad at him. I needed these few weeks to hurry by so I could get everything sorted out, but with all the dreams I’ve been having I don’t even know if I could look him in the eye anymore.
