So whilst I was really mega disappointed @therangeuk didn’t have any gel pens I did get to look at the #lights and take pictures of them... these are my favourite 10! I took way more pictures than this! I love lights it’s a sensory thing I’m mesmerised by colours! My favourite is the sparkly twister glitter lava lamp thing BUT the noise it makes is just horrible which is why I left the sound on... looks pretty but I couldn’t cope with that! #Sensory #LowVision #Blind #PrettyLights #Unicorn #ColouredLights #LightStim #Glitter #LookAtTheLights (at Fort Brockhurst) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBtZCquJkOn/?igshid=9xogsijz9e5x

George Boleyn :
George Boleyn was probably born in Norfolk in the family home of Blickling Hall. From an early age, he appeared at the king’s court. He completed his education at the University of Oxford, unlike his sisters who were sent abroad.
Lord Rochford became a member of the Privy Council of King Henry VIII of England and, in December 1529, took his first assignment as a diplomat in France. It is common to think that it was thanks to the influence of his sister Anne that he obtained this position, since the French ambassador Jean du Bellay commented on how much George was much younger than all the other foreign diplomats. However, Thomas Wyatt had been sent to Rome a few years earlier, and Lord Rochford’s verve had been the subject of several poetic works. David Starkey even said that he had “a little bit of his sister Anne’s talent, but all his pride”
During his speech before the scaffold, George was anxious to defend the Protestant religion which he had embraced in adulthood. He spoke with passion of the Holy Scriptures and the vanities of this world. He is buried in the royal chapel of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens. His sister was beheaded two days later.
It is often said that Anne witnessed the execution of her beloved brother and of the other men accused alongside her but for this to have happened the Tower officials would have had to have moved Anne from the Queen’s Lodgings in the south-east corner of the Tower, where she was detained for the duration of her imprisonment, to a room on the north or west side of the Tower – possible but highly unlikely according to Anne’s biographer, the late Eric Ives.
No portrait of George Boleyn remains today, as they were all destroyed in 1536. His role in the fall of his sister Anne has been controversial in recent years: Eric Ives and Retha Warnicke have recently debated the value of charges of incest. Despite their different points of view, the two historians reject the accusation.
Mary Boleyn :
Mary Boleyn was sent to France with Anne. During her stay as a lady of honor in France, Mary probably became the mistress of François I of France, who described her later in her life as “une grande putain, la plus infâme ( ou tristement célèbre ) de toutes”. After her relationship with the king, she probably had several adventures which led to her dismissal from the court and her return to England. Some historians have questioned the issue of Mary’s freedom of morals, saying that it had been greatly exaggerated, but it is generally accepted that it is partially true.
Mary’s sister, Anne Boleyn, returned to England in 1522 and has built great popularity at court. The two sisters are not particularly close and Anne attends different social circles.
Although Mary is more attractive than her sister according to the canons of beauty of the time, Anne is more ambitious and thus refuses the advances of the king for fear of losing interest in him. The scheme worked, because in the middle of 1527 the king was determined to marry her and hastened his divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
Mary secretly marries William Stafford, a commoner with no rank and a modest income. Historians believe that this is a love marriage - because there is no other reason for entering into such an unprofitable marriage. When this is discovered, her family disowns her, because she married below her condition, and the couple is banished from court by Queen Anne.
During an epidemic of suette, Mary’s husband died ; Mary entrusts the care of her son, Henry Carey, to her sister Anne. It is indeed customary in the English aristocracy to place the children in the good care of the wealthier members of the family, which is more than necessary in the case of Mary, because the death of her husband leaves her covered with debts, and her father shows no intention of helping her. Anne arranges for the child to be educated in a renowned monastery and intercedes on behalf of Mary to assure her an annual pension of one hundred pounds. This is stopped and reassigned according to Anne’s good will.
Between 1534 and the execution of her sister on May 19, 1536, Mary’s life was difficult to trace. She does not visit her mother or her sister Anne, even when the latter is imprisoned in the Tower of London, no more than her brother George condemned for treason. There is also no evidence that she wrote to them. She probably believed, like her uncle Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk, that it was wise to avoid any association with members of her disgraced family.
( You can see on Anne’s “B” necklace, 3 small pear-shaped pearls. This seems to represent Mary, Anne and George )

lookatthelights:
Dru used to see things, you know? She’d always be staring up at the sky watching cherubs burn or the heavens bleed or some nonsense. I used to stare at her and think she’d gone completely sack of hammers. But she’d see the sky when we were outside, and it’d make her so happy. She’d see showers, she’d see stars… And now I see her.
