look maybe my most deeply held conviction as pertains to btvs is that if they absolutely HAD to start making comics after the show ended they should've stuck to prequels and extended universe stuff and maybe AT MOST oneshots following up on side characters from the show. buffy post-chosen should never, ever appear. her story is finished. it's over. it ended and it ended beautifully. for fuck's sake let her rest

#buffyposting #look jorts weedman was always a shitty person but i kind of genuinely believe #that the comics are when he started to really lose his soul #like by all accounts he was a nightmare to work with on btvs #but at least he *cared*#for the first 5-6 seasons at least #and to take that thing you've cared so much about and worked so hard on for so long #and brought to a satisfying conclusion despite it all #and keep it going like some kind of shambling reanimated mockery of itself #idk it's always felt like a cynical cash grab to me #the buffy comics are what bridges the gap between btvs whedon and avengers whedon
