i am confusing kali and durga but you did make design of fgo her right? can i ask you to repost it bc i scoured your archive and i still cant find it
It was kali! The actual post is here but I’ll post some of the pictures here as well
I’ve been planing on doing proper ascension-like art for her for a while now, just haven’t found the time between work and making my normal content for the blog ;v;
#tbh she is pulling from multiple versions of k/ali#more in line with a specific interpretation of her through shaktism#as a form of adi sha/kti#/mahadevi-which if I understand correctly in shakti/sm specifically puts her more at the level of Bra/hman#as the supreme ultimate reality of existence (bra/hman the principle not the god)#so she’s the source of all creation/it’s embodiment/the energy that animates it/and that which it dissolves into#and yeah I went with this in part bc I was so annoyed w how they made par/vati -_-#look if we can have characters be the personification of planets then the personification of the cosmic force of the universe should be doom#I’ve like. thought abt how to work it into nasuverse#it’s like ka/li is one form of the main goddess who’s like the universe#similar to how ameratsu can send out bunreis on a larger scale#except in this case it’s more like ort w the planet thing only on this case it’s the universe#I’m not explaining this well but it made sense to me lmao#basically#the servant form is an avatar of kali in that it’s less powerful than her#and kali is also mahadevi#who is the universe#‘what’s par/vatis deal then?’ she got overzealous making her servant vessel and overcorrected#ik I’m not explaining this well I attempted to write lore for her ONCE and exploded#she’s interesting tho. she tends to be impartial (except w kids) but represents change and destruction#and is constantly updating and changing her views based on her children (followers) world#(like with the sacrifice thing which is interesting bc I’ve seen things saying she never wanted human sacrifice but it DID still happen)#she requires sacrifice which often nowadays is interpreted to mean things like negative energy and the like#or like the sacrifice of your ‘ego’#she’s also a goddess associated with anger#idk I’m getting all over the place again which happens when I start#getting into it lmao#my asks

Owari-Hajimari ENG Lyrical Analysis
Heyo, I just finished TWEWY recently and have been pouring over the soundtrack and turning things over in my head. Thought this song particularly was interesting in terms of the game's themes and whatnot- it seems to be from Joshua's perspective, both in the subject matter and the context in where it first played in the game (pretty sure it was the first battle Neku has alongside Joshua when he first forms the pact with him). So, here's me taking a stab at this whole thing, and digging at potential insight in Joshua's character.
("Happy-go-lucky, yo, here I am
I'm not a yuppie or a puppie, yeah, hear me roar
Jinxes mean nothin' to me they're such a joke
Never can stop me 'cause I'm on my way
Minus and plus, got 'em plugged in the wrong way
And now minor keys are easier to hear
Regression and progression, I start to realize something true")
The speaker wants to be seen as a devil-may-care yet powerful individual, not someone who's a shallow, materialistic young person or a naïve person. They don't pay any mind towards the idea of "bad luck" or spirituality, tossing aside several societal ideas of 'fairness/luck' inherently in the universe; they just want to carve out their own path. They're a cynical person, they see more of the tragedy and sadness in the world than the good and positivity that they think most people ought to appreciate. They look at the world around them and see how society constantly oscillates between growing and advancing, then falling back into old behaviors.
("’How many bottles did you throw into the right bin?’
‘Did you wash them nice and clean?’
Geniuses invent machines and wealthy people invest more funds
My momma used to say start with what you can do today, yeah, not tomorrow
So I list it up, and set this up (listen up!)
My secret plan is based on this truth)
With the first two quotes, the song starts its thematic motifs on recycling which equates towards the idea of looping/being locked in a cycle. The quotes also reflect the procedural and orderly nature of what is required to do a thing that's good for the planet and society, in this case recycling. It takes consistent effort and deliberated action to do what is most beneficial for the world around them- a level of effort and precision that can seem tedious to expend. The speaker also illustrates the taxing nature of this “do-gooder” attitude of compliance and diligence with how the dedication of innovation is often reliant upon the wealthy to promote new products- reflecting how the speaker likely thinks that even with individual diligence and determination in as many places of one’s life as possible, we are strung along to the rhythm of the rich in terms of seeing significant results from our practices. The speaker’s mother, implied to be confronted with the speaker’s feelings of impotence in an unbending society, tells them that if they want things to change, they have to focus on the moment and not become overwhelmed with the bigger picture (“tomorrow”). The “list it up/set it up/secret plan based on this truth” is repeated in the song, demonstrating extreme significance for the development of the speaker’s core values- in response to all of these perceived struggles present in the world and the speaker’s society and an interpretation of the advice of their parent, they internalized a mindset/course of action that may be seen as unacceptable to others, hence the “secret” nature of their “plan.” The speaker copes with their struggles in an analytical and strategic way.
(“It's a small world, it's a small universe. Remember? We used to sing along to the song
Listen to what she says, we are the universe, OWARI-WA HAJIMARI, HAJIMARI-WA OWARI”)
The characterization of assumedly the universe’s “song” as feminine reflects a level of reverence, attachment, feelings of fickleness, or reliance, as is often seen in feminine personifications of inanimate concepts. The speaker then says “we are the universe,” which shows that these are also all traits that they may see in humanity itself. ‘Owari-wa hajimari,” and “Hajimari-wa Owari” translates to “The end is the beginning,” and “The beginning is the end,” respectively, echoing the cyclical viewpoint of the speaker when it comes to the idea of the universe’s progression- any movement is movement, for creation or destruction, but stagnation is what is against the will of the universe itself.
(“An original strategy is what I need. Contradicted world? I've had enough indeed.
Whatsoever, what is forever? I hear them say it, again and again
‘Recycle, reuse, and try to reduce.’ But in the first place, I refuse to confuse!
How many companies want to sell us more services and products? Can't we share?”)
The speaker is at odds with the idea of maintaining the status quo and the level of dissonance that comes from the public at large as a result. “I’ve had enough indeed. Whatsoever, what is forever” flowing thought, in that the ideas bleed together [I’ve had enough indeed, whatsoever/Whatsoever, what is forever?], with the “whatsoever” being the emphasized focal point of the two phrases. This “whatsoever,” meaning “at all,” reflecting an entirety or generalized feeling, or meaning “whatever,” expressing apathy in a longstanding, archaic manner, is the key point here, showing both chronic fatigue at the tug-and-pull/paradoxical system the speaker is in, alongside a presented apathy about it. The speaker is tired of what they view as trivialities born from the idea of individual responsibility for one’s own well-being and the well-being of their society [expressed once again through the recycling metaphor], using double wordplay in response to the recycling metaphor: “recycle, reuse, reduce,” responded to with “refuse” = waste. This shows how the speaker wants to exit the system, highlighted by how they put blame on those behind production and consumerism for pushing the narrative of individual responsibility upon the populace, while they remain the ones primarily in control of the thrum of waste vs. reuse. The speaker wants a collective responsibility to be acknowledged, where no single person is an island to each other, and no person ‘higher on the ladder,’ so to speak, gets to decide the rules of how the common person ought to live their life.
(“How about talking about something different, because all I got is fake, play money
Jigsaw puzzle I can't find the last piece, maybe I swallowed it when I was a kid
My daddy used to say, ‘Keep your eyes on reality and kid don't you forget to enjoy it’
So I list it up and I set this up (listen up!)
My secret plan is based on this truth”)
This verse focuses on trivializing consumerism and asking questions about emotional wholeness with motifs of childishness/childhood, respectively. The speaker feels helpless discussing the inner working of society especially on a class-based critique basis, because they feel the concept of economy and materialism is all illusory anyway, feeling more occupied by how they feel a sort of deep-running gap in themselves and their self-concept that is implied to have persisted since childhood. The ‘jigsaw-puzzle’ in this case symbolizes the speaker, the ‘last piece’ symbolizes the dissatisfaction the speaker has towards society and life in general, and they blame something deep within themselves for this feeling of emptiness, hence the loaded responsibility behind the ‘maybe I swallowed it when I was a kid.’ The speaker’s father must have born witness to these feelings and beliefs, seemingly more in favor of materialism and against internal emotional introspection in comparison to his child. ‘Keep your eyes on reality,’ has the father likely telling the speaker that should care more about things like the aforementioned ‘play money,’ and ‘don’t you forget to enjoy it’ has the father telling the speaker to set their feelings of emotional emptiness to the side, and focus more on the pleasures of life to fill that gap. With the final two lines, the speaker shows that they internalized their father’s words in accordance with their aforementioned strategy on how to approach the dissatisfaction of life.
#love this song- analyzing this really helped me wrap my head around Joshua more as a character#particularly the lines about his mother and father and how he integrated that into his philosophy that exists to the present day#it was just very... vivid(?) to me. I could clearly envision this kid upset with society looking at ghosts of scared people around him#seeking council from people who didn't understand and told him to get his head out of the clouds#the cynicism that is born from what used to be idealism that was crushed by a society that didn't want change#it's very sympathetic to me- from that perspective#twewy#the world ends with you#joshua kiryu

The three One Piece OCs that started out as SW ones are Nora, Cassandra and Rhann.
Nora and Cassandra went through some change, most notably that I switched their powers and changed Nora's name. She used to be Antoniya, was as Slav-coded as it gets (Nora still has some of those features), and was a Jedi during the Clone Wars, Padawan of Obi-Wan and part of a force dyad with Anakin (we love overpowered Mary Sues in this house because in the end I kill them all anyway) with abilities inspired by old Slavic myths, especially the one about the Polidnitsa (the Midday demon, or the Noonwrath, a corpse-like woman that appears in the cropfields at noon during harvest when the weather is the hottest. Technically she is a personification of the sun stroke, but there is also a positive side of the story – if the Polidnitsa encounters a girl sleeping in the fields she challenges her to a dance and if the girl outdances the demon, the Polidnitsa gifts her a rich dowry.) Those powers in the end went to Cassandra and they kinda lost their connection to the myth, and instead of being born with them she received them as the result of an experiment gone wrong (Casanji failed experiment duo 🤧🤧). Since the Polidnitsa is associated with harvest, her weapon is a sickle which was transferred to Antoniya and later Nora and stayed there.
Cassandra Vau is practically copy-pasted from one universe to the other. She is my SW Republic Commando OC, younger sister of Walon Vau (I didn't even change her last name 😭), and the island she is from in the One Piece world is heavily inspired by the lands Walon Vau comes from. I literally plucked the dysfunctional, power-hungry counts of Gisl and plopped them in the One Piece world. They are big fans of the Celestial Dragons. Or of the oppressive government of their own planet. It's the same, really. Cassandra originally had premonition abilities through dreams and her powers were very DC Sandman-inspired (dream control, dream induction, partial reality manipulation), but in the end in the OP universe I gave those to Nora. Except for the premonitions because can you imagine a character named Cassandra that is not a prophet? Yeah.
Rhann is my dear Tomislav reimagined. Tommy is the son of a corrupted Senator who is stuck between wanting to make his father proud and his need to do the right thing. Rhann is secretly a Revolutionary agent in the Marines, while Tomislav becomes close to Palpatine while working to help the clones and the Jedi win the war and looking for a way to expose the Chancellor for what he is. Rhann is perhaps the one most different from his prototype, because Rhann is bold, straightforward, a little aggressive, a brilliant orator; while Tomislav is much more shy and reserved. In a way Rhann is everything Tomislav wants to be.
Thank you SO MUCH for enabling my rants 😭😭. I'm so happy you enjoy my chaotic thoughts that are barely making sense 💚💚💚
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
I love Nora, Cassandra, and Rhann! Nora in a force dyad with Anakin? HELL YES. I LOVE IT! No, but I legit love overpowered OCs. I think they're great, especially if all of the plots are thought out and planned really well. It all comes down to how they're presented, and I think she's great!
And you've got a commando OC too? And a senator son? AAAAAAAAAAAA. I love this. I am also digging the premonition dreaming. That was one of my favourite parts of Star Wars: the dreams becoming reality. And the ghosts. And the concept of the battle between light and dark. I adore it.
Thank you for sharing them with me. With the three you brought over to OP, do you have a canon ship for any of them? Cassanji does sound like such a vibe 👀

lizzie and tommy (:
I’ve always been a fan of Lizzie. I found her character so interesting, solely because I found her to be so tough, but also have so much love and femininity to her. However, I also liked Grace– she was strong and cunning and dang she fell for a gangster! However, I felt her character was underbaked (because she literally died. Great for Tommy’s character development– bad for Grace). What prompted me to write this all out was me running out of Lizzie and Tommy fics to read and turning to Tommy and Grace fics. The first (and frankly only one I read), was Thomas Shelby laughs in his sleep, or at least he used to. by @i-just-look-at-pictures on AO3, and it really fleshed out Grace’s character for me, it filled in the holes in their relationship that the show didn’t cover. It made me realize how stark (haha), the differences between both relationships are. Grace gave us the forbidden love, marriage trope, love at first sight type deal whereas Lizzie gives us the redemption arc (literally RUBY.) and a slow burn.
In my first watch-through of Peaky Blinders I loved Tommy and Grace’s dynamic– and I still do; however, after watching it back it was not the most healthy thing on the planet. But really what relationship with a man like Tommy can be? For me Tommy’s love for Grace was an obsession– she was a perfect posh girl and man, how could a girl like her fall in love with a guy like him?! But she did, because Tommy really liked her so he was soft Tommy with her. (That is why she fell in love with him, not like May who liked him for the thrill of a gangster– no shame on May, though. She is a strong woman who knows who she is. And I would totally fall for a hot gangster, too.) Grace challenged Tommy in ways women hadn’t before (excluding Polly because she’s more like a mother figure to him); however, she accepted him for the dirty gangster he was and didn’t try to fix him (because she was just as dirty as he was. Also, a lot of people say that Grace was Tommy in girl form– but helloooo ADA?!). For me, this is neither good nor bad, well maybe a little bad. Like I said before, Grace challenged him, but not in the ways that I feel like could’ve benefitted Tommy as a person, but then again Tommy wouldn’t have dared to soil his perfect Grace with the dirty dealings of the illegal business. So it was a fault all around, really, in my opinion. Grace could’ve thrived in the illegal business dealings (she’s a smart girl!), but it was the illegal business that was her demise. (I don’t believe for a second Lizzie had any intention of starting a war, and she didn’t start it. John did. Lizzie just wanted a normal life. But did she really like Angel, orrr was he a distraction from Tommy? We all know the truth.) Tommy ruined Grace, but look at how her death ruined him. Her apparition (originating from the stupid drugs) is the personification of his guilt. Grace doesn’t call him to the afterlife– his guilt for his gang business does!
Lizzie however, was different. She was involved in the dirty business from the beginning. She knew who Tommy was pre-war, and she knows who he is now. And look at how she hoisted herself up out of the gutter. She took those typing classes to stop whoring. She tried to get out of it with John (but we all know how that went– and I personally don’t think that was Tommy keeping Lzzie for himself, that was Tommy protecting John). She took the initiative to clean up her life and Tommy just aided her in the fact by giving her a job (truthfully, all he has ever helped her with was money). Regardless of all that, I truly believe (and it’s evident–blatantly obvious even) that she was in love with Tommy from the beginning. Two of my favorite Tommy and Lzzie scenes are as follows: the one where she asks him to pretend like they’re ordinary people (kills me every time. Hurts my soul. My poor baby Lizzie girl.) and the typewriter scene where he offers her the job (the manner in which he went about it was stunning. I would’ve died.)
As the story goes, Tommy goes back to Lizzie relatively quickly after Grace dies (excluding the Tatiana madness). I’ve seen posts that blame Lizzie for this, that she jumped on Tommy after Grace died because she was jealous. I have no doubt in my mind she was jealous– but she has enough decorum to withhold that and act like a lady. Lizzie grounds Tommy. Yes, they were toxic (My property? Not cool. Infidelity? Not healthy! Telling her to abort the baby? Nooo thanks– and she was so excited! “A piece of me and you” CRYING); however, I feel like they understood each other on another level. They’ve known each other for what, 15+ years? And they’ve been married for what, 8 of those years? Gosh, they know each other inside and out. Their relationship, obviously, is very sexually based. Lizzie was a whore for pity’s sake, and Tommy himself is probably the biggest whore on the show (literally seducing poor Jessie Eden for personal gain?!). I’m sure Lizzie was able to read Tommy like an open book and vice versa! Just look at how they push each other's buttons! Him telling her he still pays her for it, and her giving him the bullets in the mud. Neither was a good situation– a) that’s a horrific way to push someone when you know that bothers them b) that is not how you deal with a suicidal person. But look at all that harm and trauma we see they cause each other because of years of hurt from each other and others. This is where we see Lizzie break for the first time, in my opinion. For her family comes first, even over her one-sided love, and Tommy was willing to break that family.
Lizzie’s two best qualities (but perhaps it was also these that lead to her demise) were her unwavering loyalty and her ability to care. The former is probably why I relate to her so much. Even after Tommy screwed up her first chance at a normal life with John, left her to get raped at Epsom, told her she was property, let Diana publicly humiliate her, mocked her attempts at divorce, told her to abort their child, (I’m sure there’s more) she stayed. Because she freaking loved him and cared for him. He trusted her as a secretary to have a foot in both businesses, but he never trusted her like he trusted Grace (which is completely ironic to me because Grace betrayed all of them. But look at how much he is like Lizzie in this way. Forgiving personal transgressions because you love them sooooo much.), because he trusted Grace with his head– not the business. Lizzie was the opposite. Her loyalty to him was intertwined with her ability to care. Like the man himself said, “It was you who stopped my heart from breaking”. I’m not the best writer, but aniray conveys this perfectly in their fic A Bit of Soft (In a Broken Place). Lizzie is always there for him and cares for him. She fulfills his needs. Her ability to care was shown really, though, with the children. Charlie calls her mum (which I know a lot of people don’t like– but she took the child of the woman who she probably was jealous of and genuinely loved him as her own) and Charlie’s bond with Ruby is so adorable. Lizzie was meant to be a mom! And Tommy gave her that. And like I said earlier when Tommy was willing to give up his fatherly duties to be reunited with Grace, Lizzie reminded him of his duties at home (albeit in a not-so-nice way). Because that’s what really important to her. The well-being of those children. And that’s what finally drove her to leave, was Tommy’s craziness about Ruby’s illness and his lack of presence at her death. There is no doubt in my mind Tommy loved Ruby, and he really went to the ends of the earth to save her. But when he wasn’t there to hold her hand (and Lizzie’s hand) as she died, that’s what did it. Not the infidelity, not the sham of a marriage, not the drugs (she knew what she signed up for. A marriage for looks. She was ok with being the one who cared more.), but the lack of care (in the way she thought, and really it was the way that he needed to be, mattered). This is also why she couldn’t have been the black cat. A) She wanted to get as far away from her whoring days so she isn’t talking to Mosely B) she loves Tommy too much (to her own disgust) to betray him like that C) it’d hurt her family D) She was for sure at that violin recital! She wouldn’t’ve missed it for the world!
But really he did love her, Lizzie– definitely like he loved his family (she was family), and I think he definitely had the potential to be in love with her. He’s now realizing that she was essential to his life (because he likes nice, soft things). However, Lizzie (thank goodness) has realized he’s never brought anything good into her life (excluding Ruby, her angel), and the hurt outweighs the crumbs of kindness and left him. She doesn’t deserve him. Like I said earlier Lizzie, I believe, will be the catalyst for his redemption (Just look at how Ruby saved him!). Yes. They are toxic and their relationship in the show is most certainly not healthy one bit! But, there is potential for love.
Here’s some fic recs that really illustrate their relationship:
For me all of these authors are amazing, I just stick to Lizzie/Tommy really. No Tommy/Alfie for me. All are on Ao3

Ok.
The arcade Fae!
Now this is just the bare bones ideas. I might flush this out or even un-flush this out. Might decide I want less details and more freedom. Depends on how I'm feeling.
Anyways. First thing I sort of decided to do. This might be a thing I get rid of because more freedom juice. But for now it's what I have.
Basically there is a difference between modern fae and old fae. Modern fae basically are the generic storytell look that we have nowadays. Tinkerbell and nature spirits. That is their only justifications of why they're fae. Because that's what the general public of the modern day has made Fae to be. Most modern fae look like your generic Tinkerbell fairy, and they only really take care of any random nature thing. It doesn't have to be specific and usually it's their choice.
Then there is of course Old Fae. Which are a lot stranger and are made within very differencing intentions. Basically every single one of them is an aspect of something. They aren't created out of some child's idea of little fairies living in their garden. They are usually made by a similar thought process but with much more varied appearances. Plus the meaning behind them. It could be as simple as a little kid associating butterflies with playmates. Or an entire group associating something with an emotion and it taking form. Because there isn't a modern widespread interpretation that these Fae were being based off of. They can be wildly different. Usually based more so off of real animals or even just random creature features smashed together.
Anyways with those two different rules in place. I'm going to spit down what I've been thinking for everybody.
Now again. The modern Fae can really look like any sort of standard fairy. And can do about anything. Plenty of them look like standard butterflies or moths. Some of them are different. But for the most part they are small humanoids with bug wings. Plenty of them just take care of general nature. Whether that be caring for animals or plants. Some decide to be guards. Some decide to be caretakers. It's really diverse.
Meaning that characters like moon, sun, blood moon, and planet can look and do about anything. Which I haven't figured out a look for any of them, because they can be anything. Gives me a lot of avenues I have yet to explore. But it can probably be assumed that they will look unkaredistically like their normal counterparts. Since they literally can.
But! The old world fae don't run by those rules. They have to come from a specific aspect. They have to be a personification of something. Usually taking the form of an animal that people believe that aspect is best formulated in. Ergo say, a animal is running around but nobody can catch them. Soon it turns into a myth about this mysterious uncatchable beast. A fae can emerge from those myths. Usually taking root of what these people think that mysterious animal looks like. So those sort of situations. Although this can happen with an emotion and the physical aspects can be random. Usually the closest you get to a specific creature is something that person connects to.
So with the idea of old world fay down. Let's start with eclipse and go down. Because these guys need explanations. Although they still don't have much designs. Just vague ideas.
So eclipse despite already having a fae design. Being a version of Blue Moon. They are going to have a different design because they're just not the same at all. Probably a bit more dragonfly and less grasshopper. Similar but different. They were created out of the joy of children. A basic one but a good one at that. The kids just associating them with their favorite "playful bugs". Unfortunately they gained a second aspect through corruption. Basically they are old enough that this was old school superstition. And The adults of the village that Blue Moon first came from started to associate them with evil. And a different kind of fay basically came from that superstition and imprisoned them. The Eclipse that was just an aspect of childlike joy. Was suddenly corrupted by adult fears. Basically becoming a two-sided figure of childhood fear and childhood warnings.
Anyways on to the next one. Black Star. Oh he's got a dark one. I don't even know if I can explain this again without internally shuttering. To explain it as simply as possible. Black Star is the combined feelings of people who are suppressed in there expressions. I kept using the example of pride and I will use it here. Black Star is basically every single person's feelings of not being able to express their pride due to something. And in a way he is that suppression. Basically in this example. Black Star feels like a person who is suppressed in their expression. But being around humans can sometimes make it so their suppression is worse. Now I've been using pride. But this could be anything. It's just the easiest one to throw examples out for. Right now Black Star might be based off of a tiger swallow butterfly. But there's lots of different types and I haven't decided on which. Since he was created more recently. He does have that more standard human body with bug wings. It's just a bit more extravagant looking.
Pluto right now doesn't have a design. But they do have an aspect. Outrage over animal fighting. Who couldn't guess? Basically around their region was a lot of animal fighting. The animals actually created Pluto. Basically calling outrage to the woods for their mistreatment. Which is how Pluto was created. They are very violent revenge type fae. They don't like humans and don't want them near him. Due to the fact that they weren't created through human thoughts. They also struggle to communicate with any other type of fae. Plus most Fay interact with humans because they are created from their thoughts. So they don't get along anyways. Right now they're design is in the open. Probably will be some randomly scribbled sketch.
Then there's Nova. I can't say much about Nova. Because putting out his aspect might accidentally put out way too much information about his normal counterpart. So. We are just going to say he came out of an aspect of wanting power. I'm not going to say anything else. He's also probably going to be some random scribbled sketch.
There is of course Jack. He is going to be the most magical of the group. To put it very basically he was created from an old world group that heavily believed in witches wizards etc. They totally believed in the magic of the woods. And through this basic mass belief that the woods were magical. Jack was created. He has some magic over harvest. As the people wouldn't usually go over to the woods and basically ask for help from him. Asking that the woods don't intrude upon their farms. Asking that the creatures in the woods don't destroy their harvests or eat their livestock. Because of just the sheer amount of belief in Jack. He basically has control over the entire forest. This has somewhat faded with time. But he basically became the god of the forest due to this belief. So despite the fact he has lost most of the actual belief in him. He still has quite a bit of power. Mostly from cultural history that speak of his name. Even if the belief in him as an actual entity is gone. His forest has become a sanctuary for any sort of fae because of this belief. Basically it's the only place we're fae and go and not worry about fading so hard in to obscurity that they don't exist anymore. Which can happen and is usually how they die. Unfortunately most of the fay that do go into the wood only meet with him once. He also doesn't give out boons to humans anymore because of the lack of faith.
And I think that's all the old world fae. I'll have to sketch up designs and stuff. Or at least get a certain creature everybody's based off of. But this is all the explanations you need on there aspects. I'll have to make sure the tag this in my big list. Anyways! Hope you had guys have fun with all these ideas.

Amren is a dragon. 🐉
ACOTAR and Crescent City spoilers!
Given all the religious associations linked to Amren's character, many have theorised that she is a biblical angel. SJM herself even stated that this is true, confirming in an interview that she is an "Old Testament angel."
However, I do not believe that Amren is an archangel (the likes of which we see in Crescent City). Instead, I think Amren is a different sort of angel.
The Seraphim.
In ACOWAR, we learn that Amren chose her name; that there is a meaning behind it.
Amren is a derivation of the Hebrew name, Amram; the father of Moses.
In the ACOTAR series so far, there have already been a number of hints to Moses. We see this clearly in the text (for example, Prince Drakon parted the sea, just as Moses did).
In fact, SJM herself confirms that Prince Drakon and Miriyam's story was inspired by Exodus (the Old Testament book, which details Moses's leadership).
Prince Drakon and Miriyam are known as the Seraphim. They are the angels of the ACOTAR world.
In our own world, the Seraphim are Old Testament angels. According to the hierarchy of angels (although this can vary depending on the religion), the Seraphim are the highest rank. They are the mightiest, and most powerful angels in all creation.
Most importantly, the Seraphim are known as angels of fire. They are called the "burning ones."
Amren's true form was one of "pure light and fire," with wings of flame.
Amren is a Seraphim.
Even the grey of Amren's eyes are likened to "Seraphim steel."
However, Amren's true form was kept rather vague in ACOWAR; as Amren's light blinded Feyre, she couldn't quite make out what she really was.
I believe this was intentional - and important.
Because, the Seraphim are often regarded as dragons.
Dragons?
The singular form of "Seraphim" literally means "fiery flying serpent."
Later texts describe the Seraphim as "dragon-shaped angels."
As almost certain proof of this; the Seraphim in the ACOTAR world are ruled by Prince Drakon.
"Drakon" means Dragon (in Hebrew too!)
In fact, SJM hints at Amren's dragon form multiple times, referring to her as a "firedrake" - a type of fire dragon.
Amren also (used to) drink the blood of lambs and goats.
Just as the wyverns (a type of dragon in the Throne of Glass world), also ate lamb and goats.
Who was their God?
If this theory is true, and the Seraphim (including Amren) are dragons (or a type of angel-dragon hybrid), it begs the question: who is the God that Amren, and the other Seraphim serve? (Or, perhaps used to serve in Amren's homeworld?)
As of Crescent City 2, we are lead to believe that Thurr is a "minor storm deity," but I think that is a lie, spun by the Asteri.
Because, Bryce notes that Thursday's were named after Thurr, as well as a "behemoth planet."
The Crescent City world more closely follows Roman Mythology, and, in Roman Mythology, Thursday's, and the giant planet, are named after Jupiter; the God of all Gods. His Greek equivalent is Zeus.
Both Jupiter and Zeus were Gods of thunder and lightning (and recall that SJM drew many connections between Hunt, who also has lightning powers, and Thurr, in HOSAB).
Thus, I believe that the God the Seraphim served, was Thurr (a personification of Zeus/Jupiter).
In Greek mythology, Zeus was born on the island Crete.
In the ACOTAR world, Prince Drakon, Miriyam, and the other Seraphim live on an island called "Cretea." This is hardly a coincidence.
In fact, the dragon shifter in the Crescent City world is named "Ariadne." In Greek mythology, Ariadne was the Princess of Crete.
Hunt Athalar.
This is perhaps getting into more unhinged territory, but evidently, Hunt is involved in this narrative as well.
It is stated multiple times that Hunt looks identical to Thurr.
I believe that Hunt is either Thurr reincarnated (and this is what "Project Thurr") was,
OR, Hunt is the son of Thurr - the son of a God.
This likely explains why SJM has drawn so many overt parallels between Hunt and Jesus Christ (e.g. the same crown of thorns); Hunt is a son of Thurr, just as Jesus was the son of God.
Further, Hunt's true name is Orion. As most are aware, Orion was a famous hunter in Greek mythology.
Where did a majority of the stories about Orion take place? Crete. It's all connected.
Thunderbirds.
Further, it is stated in CC2 that Thurr is connected to the Thuderbirds in some way. In fact, Hunt's own power appears to be the same as the Thunderbirds.
Thus, I can't shake the feeling that the Thunderbirds are the Crescent City version of the Seraphim - or related in some way.
Could it be that Thunderbirds = Seraphim = Dragons?
In fact, Sofie's Thunderbird power greatly parallels Amren's own power;
Both were manifestations of light, with wings of light.
Both were seen as an "angel," but their true form was vague, and hard to see.
It's then perhaps no coincidence that Amren's eyes have been described, MULTIPLE TIMES, as full of "lightning."
And that even the Seraphim blades were described as "lightning given flesh."
Thus, if these beings are all connected, then it suggests that Hunt may also have the power of a dragon. Or, perhaps as the High Lords of Prythian have a "beast" form, the Seraphim/Thunderbirds have a dragon form.
As further proof of this, recall that SJM stated that the HOSAB cover has a variety of clues and easter eggs. If we zoom in, what is on Hunt's chest...?
The face of a dragon.
How does this all connect?
It's pretty obvious that SJM is going for an angels vs demons sort of retelling - there's the Asteri and the angels, and the Princes of Hel and the demons. And, as seen in the bible (and other related texts), the angels and demons were often at war with each other.
I have a feeling that Thurr was on the side of the angels. It is stated that dragon fire is one of the few things that can harm the Princes of Hel - this aligns perfectly.
We also know that Hunt was bred to be "receptive" to the demons of Hel, which makes him an expert at hunting them - further proof. (Then, there's the whole biblical and mythological symbolism of the lightning, which was often used to smite down sinners).
We also know that the Asteri created "warriors" in the ACOTAR world, which were a prototype for the angels in the Crescent City world - this was the Seraphim.
So, was Thurr like the Asteri overlord?
I don't know what exactly what all of this means (especially for Hunt), but I do know that something big is brewing...

Hey Dave we never really talk, how are you doing ? Can you tell me about one of your ocs when you have the time.. Whoever you're having the most fun with right now. I like their designs alot and I haven't checked up on Vinyl Hell in a while, but the concept is looking so cool and well-done I'm really enjoying it
hi Atlas! i'm doing alright- and i'm sorry we haven't talked in a while.
i'm glad you like their designs! that's very flattering ^_^! i have not made much progress on the story bits of vinyl hell- i have a tentative ending, at least. most of the ahhh things i've worked on with it have been more about the '''''''psychology''''''' and personality of the characters for it.. idk how much you know about them so i don't want to sound incomprehensible >_< anyways
wordlbuilding post for reference . i think ill just ramble about the main 2 ahm. so there's jes- the jester, the main character..that old freak. he has amnesia and Hates the new wave world because it's loud there and he is a song character from a different genre so being there is deeply unnatural and uncomfortable for him. in my first ''drafts'' he was more of a bitchy hater (there is no good way to put this) about being in the planet (it doesnt have a name so i just call it that), and he still hates it there but now he's also. jealous, of everyone, both because he thinks that having something to do would be far more preferable to just wandering around, and because. it's not like 'instinct' but he has the feeling that that's good. side character problems. yes he is that guy from the court of the crimson king (he forgot his adjective). is the prog world going on without him? hahaha...who knows...
i think you've asked about gittens before, but about his design? well he's the personification of born under punches, so yeah his life kind of sucks and he's exhausted from being a government man all the time.. and well the narrator never gets the 'space' they want, so he doesn't either L(. his personality has not changed much since i first came up with it- he's a bit less outwardly emotional maybe? unless he's singing he just kind of acts like he's fine. can you tell im rambling . AGH. i hope this was kind of interesting..and that your day is / was good!

The Unknown Origins of Christmas & Christianity
Original post: The Unknown Origins of Christmas & Christianity (pyramidmedia369.com)
There is a wide variety of artifacts below that detail the origins of the Christmas ritual. The information below will be quite alarming, because it can cause deep confusion depending on where you stand in your spiritual journey. There's a lot to uncover here. I'm only here to make you think. Lets get to it.
We will address the following:
Christ-Mass
Saturnalia
Saturn Worship
ACTS 14:12 + GENESIS 11:5-9 in the Bible
Who is Nimrod?
How does Nimrod tie to the story of Christ?
The original Virgin Mary story
The Winter Solstice
Christ-Mass & the start of Christianity
The word "Christmas" is a derivative of "Christ-Mass". With Mass being a common practice in Roman Catholicism, having a nature specific to certain dates for more than just astrological reasons. The roots of Christmas were first planted in ancient Rome with Saturnalia: the original ritual of Christmas. In 336 AD, Pope Julius I decided to call December 25th "Christ-Mass", in an effort to adopt and absorb the traditions of the pagan Saturnalia festival. This is just 11 years after the beginning of Christianity, which started in 325 AD by Constantine The Great at the Council of Nicea. At the CON, Constantine stated that religious peace could only occur if a single religion is imposed throughout the empire, therefore no one could leave the empire until they agreed on a Universal interpretation for Christianity. There were only 5 priests who disagreed with him. Therefore, the bible doctrine we read today was subjugated by votes. Meaning, the stories/scriptures they would or would not include in the bible had to be voted for by the Council of Nicea. Which is why 75 books were removed from the bible as Christianity was created.
I wonder, why didn't Christianity evolve as its own semitic denomination? Yeshua (Jesus) was a Jew from the tribe of Judah by lineage, and the New Testament states his crucifixion was ordered by the Roman Catholic church. Why is Christianity a denomination of Catholicism, and not Hebrew customs? Weird.
Saturnalia
Saturnalia was originally a celebration of the god 'Saturn', which would last from December 17th through December 25th. I do recommend that you research the nature of these festivals on your own. Before it was Jesus Christ's birthday, it was Nimrod's birthday and was widely celebrated similar to the way we celebrate Christmas. To the Romans, Nimrod was called Saturn; the Greeks called him Kronos; the Egyptians called him Osiris; the Phoenicians and Canaanites called him Baal. Interesting, isn't it?
Saturn Worship
It's not just ancient Romania; Saturn does play an important role in our spiritual evolution for many different reasons. For starters, Saturn is associated as the Lord of Karma and Time. Honoring Saturn is not merely just a pagan practice, hence why the Hebrew Sabbath day is on Saturday, the day of Saturn. If you look up any Pre-Copernicus astrological facts, you will find that Saturn is revered as the highest heaven of all the planetary bodies. Yes, each planet is considered not just a god/goddess, but also a heaven and dimension. The energetic nature of these planets are described through the personification of said deities.
You can learn more about how the roles the planets played in the ancient pantheons of spirituality and astrology here: "How The Days Got Their Names?"
Saturnalia is an ancient Greco-Roman festival, which also explains why the Bible stories include characters/gods from Greek-Roman pantheon. For example..
'Acts 14:12' in the Bible
King James Version:
"And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker."
New International Version:
"Barabas, they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker."
Mercury is the planet of communication, while Jupiter is the planet of rulership. Barnabus and Paul were appointed these names because of the social role they were playing among their tribe and society. This means that at a point in time, astrology was highly implemented by the progenitors of these said religions.
Who is Nimrod?
Nimrod is a son of Cush, grandson of Ham and great grandson of Noah. "He was a mighty hunter before (against) the Lord" - Genisis 10:9. He was rebellious to the God of the bible, YHWH/ENLIL. Nimrod was the architect and main builder of the Tower of Babel. In Sumerian language, this tower is called Etemenanki, "the stairway between heaven and earth". The purpose of this tower was initially built in dedication to Enlil's brother, ENKI, to go high enough to see the gods. It was built in a spot the Babylonians believed was the very center of our Universe. Rome, which is just Babylon in a different time, was the original city of Saturn.
During the construction of the Tower of Babylon, the peoples of the earth remained undivided, with one language and culture. But this was against God's orders. Read Genesis 11:5-9, where it describes how God made the builders scatter and divided their languages and kept them from being able to understand one another. This led to the final destruction of the tower.
How does Nimrod tie to the story of Christ?
After Nimrod's death (c. 2167 BC), his wife Semiramis promoted the belief that he was a god. She claimed that she saw a full-grown evergreen tree spring out of the roots of a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth of new life for Nimrod. On the anniversary of his birth, she said, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts under it. His birthday fell on the winter solstice at the end of December. This is how the Christmas Tree tradition originated.
Traditionally, a yule log was burned in the fireplace on Christmas Eve and during the night as the log’s embers died, there appeared in the room, as if by magic, a Christmas tree surrounded by gifts. The yule log represented the sun-god Nimrod and the Christmas tree represented himself resurrected as his own son, Tammuz who is Horus/Heru. Remember, the names are different because of the languages used throughout different kingdoms.
This story can also be found in the Sumerian story, The Epic of Gilgamesh, who is also Nimrod, who is Horus, who is Heru, who is Hercules. This is where the word "HERO" comes from! Let's get back on topic now...
The original Virgin Mary story
Osiris's story is almost exactly the same, just a few details make it more of a different story in other cultures. Nimrod's story is only missing the details of how his wife Semiramis, who is Isis, was able to conceive this miracle child. This is how the concept of the Holy Trinity began.
Nimrod-Semiramis-Tammuz version:
"Nimrod's uncle Shem killed Nimrod and scattered his remains across the land. When his wife became pregnant five month's later, she proclaimed that she was made pregnant by the rays of the Sun, which was supposedly her husband Nimrod."
Osiris-Isis-Horus version:
"But one night Set, hunting by the light of the moon, found the chest, and, recognizing the body, tore it into fourteen pieces, which he scattered up and down throughout the land. When Isis heard of this, she took a boat and gathered the fragments of Osiris's body. Wherever she found one, there she built a tomb and pieced Osiris back together, who was then brought back to life. At this moment, Isis conceived Horus who later avenged Osiris's death."
The Winter Solstice
Ironically, the Sun cycle dies for 3 days. Its cycle is renewed, and the Sun begins to rise again on the 3rd day. Sound familiar? Throughout these 3 days, the Sun is at its lowest point out of a complete 365-day year. On December 25th, the Sun moves one degree northward and is symbolically born again!
"The New Testament stories are based on the initiation ceremonies and esoteric secrets including astrology and Sun worship that were performed and communicated in the Mystery schools of Sumer, Babylon, and Egypt. In modern times, they are performed in Freemasonry, Order of the Eastern Star, Rosicrucianism, Order of the Golden Dawn, Thule Society, etc. But they are presented as a literal story to fool the people; especially Christianity, Judaism and Islam." - David Icke
Conclusion:
So Nimrod's story is Osiris's story. Considering that Horus is an incarnation of Osiris, the Horus legend also belongs to Nimrod as well. I can see how the confusion begins for many of us. Because Nimrod was killed by his own uncle - and Horus sought revenge on his uncle Seth who killed his father, Osiris. I know you're like, "How did he kill the person that killed him?" LOL there's so many empty blanks to fill in!
The ancient story says Isis used the pyramid of Giza to draw Osiris's spirit down into his body once she put him back together, after being killed and dismembered by his brother Set. It is also said that the Egyptians used Orion's belt as a gateway aka portal to travel to Earth's dimension with the use of the Pyramid. These are the missing details in the other stories. I shall return!
Thank you for reading!

Final Course Essay by Ronnie Bitzer
Movies have changed since the 1960's with the development of new genres, special effects, use of color or black and white and the development of CGI. The media has changed by finding new ways to capture certain events that can be related to the movie the directors are making. At the beginning of the 20th century the Internet, cable television, and phones developed so people could watch movies and look at the reviews from websites on the Internet made by directors, fans or movie critics. The four movies I watched that highlighted the change of movies from the 1960's are "The Seventh Seal", "Bonnie and Clyde", "Terminator", and "Solaris". For "The Seventh Seal" it was made entirely in black and white, however they used the contrasting of special effects of both the black and white to make scenes of happy moments and scenes of dark moments. The one scene that stood me out was when Death was playing chess with Antonius since it shows the personification of what the plot the movie is and the setting the movie is portraying to the audience. Another scene that stood out to me was the Danse Macabre while the family was safe Jof saw a vision of the group with Death taking them since Antonius lost the challenge the characters silhouettes were seen making them seem anonymous.
The Seventh Seal (1957) by Ingmar Bergman, Clip: The Danse Macabre
Bonnie and Clyde portrayed how violence and crime are interrelated and how one cannot exist without the other. Bonnie and Clyde showed the true meaning of graphic violence based on how bloody and explicit the movie was since it has become standard in Hollywood films.Bonnie and Clyde also shown new techniques they have used during the film making it look outdated and 1930's style.
Terminator showed scenes filled with dark gloomy war-destruction in the future while showing the picturesque moments of the nostalgic days in the present. Terminator was filled with scenes full of action, use of practical effects, and with no use of CGI, and with the use of ground shots when they were filming the part of what's happening in the future.
Solaris was a unique film featuring the use of different colors ranging from black and white to one color to an array of colors. The film shows the use of special effects, camera angles and views, visuals, natural sounds and silence, long takes and composition with nature and how it takes a depth of creating strong feelings and how the colors can relate to memory the character is feeling right now.
A source I agree with based on the critical discussions for Bonnie and Clyde was Chloe and what she quoted was "He commands the film for all the different aspects, love, sympathy, action, and overall brilliance." I agreed with her statement how the movie deserved recognition for serving the main purpose of entertainment by showing the viewers the true meaning of violence.https://www.tumblr.com/world-cinema-research/716090210740568064/week-3-blog-post-bonnie-and-clyde-chloe-ziegler?source=share
From an article called Solaris is "A Drop in the Ocean:One scene from Solaris." The article's main purpose talked about the richness of the images, vividness of the mood, and how the central depth of the film is ingrained in the author's mind. The author took the role of the main character Kris Kelvin as the hero and related him to Han Solo but with a broken heart and filled with grief. In the movie there is no evil empire to conquer rather than the main character yearning to be with his dead wife who appears to him as an apparition. How the surface of the planet acts like a metaphor to the viewers for our state of minds knowing how fragile both our minds and bodies are when we are faced with traumatic experiences we have faced.
The movies relate to their historical context by showing what the true meaning of each movie is by their poster. An example is Bonnie and Clyde and how it depicts the central theme of the movie relating to violence and how violence and crime are interrelated to each other and one can't exist without the other. Another important piece of Bonnie and Clyde is the tagline and how it accurately describes the characters and the main plot of the movie. "They're young, they're in love and they kill people."
https://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title/24779/bonnie-and-clyde/#overview Links to an external site.
Another movie relating to their historical context is "The Terminator" and how the trailer showcases major turning points in the movie and important aspects of what's going on in the movie. "Terminator" showcases the use of colors and how it goes from the scene of the future to the scene of the present and how those scenes show a difference. How the future is war-torn, dark, and gloomy and how the present is picturesque, joyful, and nostalgia since it is showcasing the 1980's with the music, outfits, and use of technology.
The Terminator (1984) Official Trailer - Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie
Events that relate to the movies historical context are. An important event that happened in the release of Bonnie and Clyde is Martin Luther King is speaking at Sproul Hall in University of California administration building in Berkeley California on May 17, 1967. Dr King reiterated his stand for non-violence and urged that young people support a peace block that would influence the 1968 elections. Even though Bonnie and Clyde's movie is related to violence the movie's premise is related to Robin Hood how they stole from the rich and are giving to the poor. https://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2017/02/50-years-ago-a-look-back-at-1967/516174/
An important event for "Terminator" was the release of the Macintosh and how during "Terminator" it talked about the overuse of technology and how it changed the future for us. The Macintosh ad talked about how revolutionizing computers and the future of technology would bring freedom, rather than control.Similar to one scene when Kyle was talking to Sarah how her unborn son talked about how the survivors wanted freedom against the "Terminators" and how they have to fight in order to survive.
The cultural dimensions that are related to all the movies are from Hofstede's Uncertainty avoidance Index and how each character is avoiding something. During "The Seventh Seal" the main character Antonius is uncertain if he can defeat Death in a game of chess in order to gain a desire he wanted to accomplish. Uncertainty avoidance index is related to the national cultures and how during the time the Black Death spread across Europe people were showing uncertainty about if they are going to survive or if they are going to perish it is also similar to the movie's plot when the knight is finished of his Crusades he challenges Death to chess to see who wins and who goes with him and how Antonius saved the family and himself and his group are taken by Death.
Bonnie and Clyde showed Uncertainty by when they started robbing banks and were laying low they are afraid of the police coming out of nowhere and shooting them. In one scene Bonnie showed Uncertainty when she wanted to have a normal life where her and Clyde aren't being hunted by the police. Since Bonnie and Clyde were being used as examples for the real Bonnie and Clyde it is possible that they are being used as a backdrop for a good story that is based on Bonnie and Clyde. Another is showing Masculinity vs Femininity when there was a scene when Clyde was crying and how he wasn't acting like a man by not being strong willed and not showing emotions. This cultural dimension is reflecting national cultures since people are being stereotyped as a guy not acting more masculine or a woman acting too feminine and those can affect people because we are human beings and we act like that from our personalities and how our personalities makes us who we are.
Terminator showed an uncertainty avoidance index by the main character Sarah trying to survive not getting killed by "The Terminator."I see this as reflecting national cultures since there is an overuse in technology we may never know if technology is going to take over us or if we are going to put a stop to technology and see if we can make it try not to take control.
Solaris shows the main character Kris Kelvin going to a planet called Solaris where the crew is being overtaken by apparitions of traumatic experiences the crew has experienced. For Kris Kelvin his apparition is of his dead wife and how he didn't want to see her because it causes him to be filled with grief, pain, and depression. This is shown to reflect national cultures since many people have memories some memories are joyful while others can be traumatic causing the individual to show feelings of sadness, pain, and depression. The movie also depicts memory by showing one color or a whole array of colors and by the use of visuals, nature, and sounds that reminds someone of something they lost.
Writing through the use of social media has changed my understanding of movies from the past by looking at the trailers and scenes from movies I can understand the mood, setting, plot, characters actions and major turning points. Some of the movies can be unconventional or conventional since some main characters are either male or female or showing scenes that are considered offensive to some viewers. By looking at reviews made on social media I can see which ones are popular and which ones are academic so I can use the reviews when im paraphrasing or citing a quote that an author wrote about the movie.
My writing is different from critical writings in the past because I am using the questions for help and I am citing quotes from authors and paraphrasing important information from articles about movies that I watched. The future of movies and discussing them is movies are going have more than one genre and more genres are going to be created based on the directors thoughts. The future of discussing movies are going to be still using social media and also using TV channels or online using video chat that way then directors or cast members can answer fans questions about their movies and if they are going to make movies similar or different to the original movie.

see the thing about Dream is
the thing is
it's very tempting to look at Tom Sturridge and go ah yes my sad scrungly wet cat anthropomorphic personification, because he does have Those Eyes and That Hair, and then it is very tempting to look at some panels of Dream in the comics and go ah yes my depressed weird friend who lives in a void, except sometimes i feel that this is too humanizing, especially if you're talking about Dream pre-1300s
and i think in the comics in a lot of his pre-Hob Gadling interactions with mortals you can see that he is balls to the wall batshit insane
his track record with loving mortals is absolutely bonkers
>Nada, Queen of the First City, pursued Dream and then when she discovered who he was went "oh shit, humans loving the Endless is forbidden by my people, we definitely shouldn't" and Dream confronted by a mortal he couldn't have went grabby grabby hands, convinced her to fuck him anyways, and then condemned her to Hell afterwards because the sun nuked her city and Nada, grieving, said she didn't want to be Dream's Queen (on account of the sinning)
>Killala of the Glow, an alien lady precursor to the Green Lanterns who punches through to the Dreaming by accident and Dream falls in love instantly, he knows her for basically 3 months and invites her to a cosmic entities convention to show her off, does not tell her that all of these people are literal quasars and planets and shit. she freaks out understandably, seeks comfort in the arms of the sun of her world (encouraged by Desire), and Dream, seeing them embracing, just fuckin leaves her there "the sun'll get her home," he says, "they're going to the same place, i'm not crying YOU'RE crying"
>Alianora, who was sent by Desire to help Dream fuck up some old gods, was given her own private island and also one of the Dream-Stones (for show fans, the ruby is a Dream-Stone!). i sincerely believe the only reason that Dream lost interest in her is because she spent so long in the Dreaming that if she tried to wake up she would die, and Dream is absolutely fascinated by things that can change (prob because that's his tragic character flaw is he can never change himself quite enough)
he don't got a great track record with his non-mortal lovers either (Thessaly, An Witch, and Calliope, the Muse), but over and over again with mortals, brief and ephemeral and changing, Dream cannot regulate himself. he burns super hot, super bright, and then either gets sucked back into work, or the fact that he has 0 Chill puts his lover off entirely. he has no concept of compromise and he's unable to not throw himself wholeheartedly into love. having Dream love you must be like being loved by a hurricane or the core of the earth. can you imagine what that would be like? having the attention of something that huge and fathomless and ancient focused on you like a laser? it would be like being crushed under a mountain.
this is why i think Hob Gadling is such a fantastic foil to, and the Premier Ship Of, Dream. Hob Gadling also throws himself wholeheartedly and joyfully into every new thing, Hob is out there living his best life and telling stories and i think he mentions doing cocaine in like the 90s in one of the comics? but, point being, Hob doesn't ever let immortality go to his head. he is the most mortal mortal that ever mortaled, he just happens to have a concept of eternity that, no matter how infinitesimally, actually approaches what Dream is.
it's just that the dynamic you get now, with a mortal who understands the true concept of endlessness, is "Hob I have brought to you a brooch forged from the heart of a dying star, pearls harvested from oysters that have never seen the sun and never will, sapphires infused with the waters of Eden"
"oh that's gorgeous dear how thoughtful I'll put it on the shelf with the Polished Sphere of Crystallized Auroras and Hope"
and then Dream fucks off to do his job for like 8 years and Hob isn't too fussed because he spent like 6 centuries waiting for this weird wet cat of a man to fuckin introduce himself, he can wait a few years for them to meet up for dinner again
anyways i wrote all of these as a partial explanation as to why Dream is so fuckin weird and turbo in Husbands, and it's because he's a sad scrungly pathetic cat man AND he's also an enormous endless eldritch creature that has no concept of emotional regulation but also a terminal fascination with the changeability and fragility of mortals that translates into absolute fucking insane love

ISWM Codes
I’ve been pondering about this all freaking night, so I had to do a little bit of research. Codes so far: Aphrodite _PRESIDENT H Zeus _HES AS SITS AN Kronos _D A AND ST HERO I think each code we get represents a different main character from WKM while also refer to a planet in our solar system. Aphrodite refers to Venus Zeus refers to Jupiter Kronos refers to Saturn Aphrodite: The Aphrodite code appears in the scene with Pam slapping Mark. Pam is also the one who played Celine, so Aphrodite is probably representing Celine. Zeus: The Zeus code appears in the scene where Mick gets shot. Mick also played Abe. And Abe was a cop. Zeus was the God of law and justice. Kronos: The Kronos code appears in the newly added scene with the robot. If you look closely you can se y/n holding a gun on him, which could mean the code refers to us. Also the code says ”D A” and ”HERO”. Y/N in WKM was the DA (district attorney) and perhaps we are the actual hero of the story. Also, Kronos was the God of time, and since y/n appears in ADWM, WKM, AHWM and now ISWM, is this y/n the same character in different timelines? Next possible codes: Let's assume the upcoming codes will be one every day until the 4th April. Which leaves 4 more codes. There's 9 planets that are represented by Greek Gods aswell as our Moon and the Sun. If we stick to planets and eliminate the Moon (Artemis) and the Sun (Apollo), we get 9 possible Gods. Let's assume there will be no more female Gods, that also eliminates Earth (represented by Gaia). That leaves us with 8 planets – 8 Gods. Now, which is the final planet that will not be represented? I'd say either Pluto because it's no longer a planet (but it is!) or Uranus, because of the name and the God is also called Uranus so it may confuse people. Ares: One that I'm fairly certain we will get is Ares, the God of War. He represents Mars. He was also the lover of Aphrodite. William, the Colonel, Wilford Warfstache was Celine's lover and is also a high ranking military officer who tends to flail guns around. I'm guessing Ares is one of the upcoming codes. Hades: This one is a possibility because he somehow makes me think of Darkiplier or maybe even Damien. King of the Underworld (The Upside Down?). Representing the planet Pluto. Often associated with evil, but in the original mythology he was portrayed as passive. His role was to maintain balance. We know Darkiplier is basically trying to restore balance, right? Hades could be a future code. Uranus: Represents the planet Uranus. He is the personification of the sky and a primordial deity.Could Uranus refer to the Manor Entity? Or perhaps Actor Mark? Also, Cronus castrated Uranus and threw the genitals into the sea, thus creating Aphrodite from the sea foam. Poseidon: The God of the sea. And the sea is blue. What else is blue? Damien's aura in WKM. Poseidon represents the planet Neptune, which also is a blue planet. Poseidon was also the protecter of seafarer aswell as many colonies and cities. Damien was a mayor, a protector of a city. Hermes: Hermes is the last God and I'm having trouble placing him. He represents the planet Mercury. He was the herald of the Gods, the god of the road between the Under and the Upper world. He was able to cross boundaries into the different worlds. He was also associated with fertility male genitalia. Somehow, if Ares is not Wilford, Hermes could be a possibility.

abundantia, goddess of prosperity and abundance (asteroid 151)
The goddess Abundantia is a personification of prosperity and abundance. She would place money and grains in the cornucopias of the mortals while they slept (lol the original stocking stuffer). Her identity is why we say “beautiful on the inside and out” - she took genuine pleasure in helping those around her. Abundantia’s cornucopia was gifted to her by Jupiter, who had accidentally broken the horn off of his favorite goat, Amalthea. Amalthea was distressed so Jupiter spelled it so that the keeper of the horn would always possess good and prosperous things - food, drink, money, etc. Amalthea felt honored by this and overjoyed that someone as generous as Abundantia had been gifted it. IN MY OPINION This asteroid can show a) where a person has abundance in their life, b) how someone can give in a way that all people can benefit from, and/or c) where in your life you feel you have a lot to give.
i encourage you to look into the aspects of abundantia along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of abundantia AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede abundantia!
OTHER RELATED ASTEROIDS/PLANETS: amalthea (113) and JUPITER.

BRF Reading - 17th of August 2021
This is speculation only
Cards drawn 16th of August 2021
Question: When will Meghan and Harry divorce?
Before I picked up the cards, I got a sense of distance, like a road stretching before me, so I know the divorce is going to be some time off in the future and not tomorrow. Meghan and Harry have more road to travel together before they get to the point of divorce. At the same time, I know it will happen, because the road is a straight one and it is heading to the divorce, so there are no side lane or twists that might stop them from arriving at that destination. I also have an impression of swiftness, as if I am in a car and moving swiftly down the road, so I know they are heading towards divorce quickly and not slowly. However, I don’t know how much road they have to travel before they reach divorce, so 'swiftly’ could mean one year as opposed to the three or four years 'slowly’ would take.
Interpretation: Not soon.
I have put the rest under a cut because of the length.
Card One: The Ace of Pentacles. This is a card of new beginnings, especially in the areas of finance, status, and stability. The new beginning tells me that the divorce will happen; it will put both Harry and Meghan in a new financial position, a new position with respect to the stability of their home, their marriage, any contracts they have together etc, and it will give them both a new status (Harry goes from married to single, Meghan loses her HRH and has a change in her title, and so on).
Pentacles as a timing card means years, and Ace is the number one, so another year before the divorce. Pentacles are an earth suit, and the first earth sign in the zodiac year is Taurus, which runs from around 21st April to 21st May, so the divorce negotiations might start in May next year. Pentacles is the suit of money and material things, so these will be areas of concern in the divorce. If you look at the card the god holding the pentacle is Poseidon, the god of the seas, and seas=water=emotions, so I expect that emotions will be prominent in this divorce as well - it won't be just a calm business arrangement, as nice as that would be.
Card Two: The Chariot. This is the first major arcana card in the spread, and it sits on top of the other major arcana card, the Moon, forming a solid band of major energy down the middle of the reading. The Chariot is the card of Cancer, and the Moon is the planet that rules Cancer, so that gives me a timing of Cancer season next year for the divorce (around June 22nd to July 22nd).
Cancer is the sun sign of Prince William, and I do feel his energy in this card, so Prince William will most likely be involved in the divorce in some way, probably with the business and money negotiations side of it (the other cards in the reading, either side of the Chariot, are Pentacles, and one of the meanings of the Pentacles suit is money/business).
The Chariot as a card is about driving straight to your goal, with no deviations, and going around (or over) any obstacles in your way. It is a card of action, of using your willpower and your strengths to move past obstacles and achieve your goal. It says don't cut corners or take the easy way out, stay true to what you want, hold your boundaries firm, and you will overcome the obstacles and succeed. Prince William and the BRF will have to hold firm in the face of opposition and obstacles to this divorce if they want the end result to be what they wish (and not what Meghan wants). If they can do this, then they will succeed and the divorce will be on their terms, not Meghan's. If they don't, then they will fail, and the divorce will be on Meghan's terms.
The Chariot on the card is a war chariot, driven by Ares, the god of War, so it is likely that the divorce will be a war with lots of battles to be fought before it is finalised. As a card showing travel straight towards a goal, it echoes what I saw before I picked up the cards, and confirms that vision.
Card Three: The Six of Pentacles. Here we see the craftsman Daedalus in front of a throne, with his hands raised as if he is pleading for something. King Minos sits on the throne and holds six golden coins in his hands. This card is coming across as being given money (as King Minos gives the money to Daedalus) and wanting more (Daedalus looks like he is begging the King for the money).
Daedalus here represents Meghan. She will be given money as part of the divorce settlement, but she will want more. King Minos gave Daedalus status by acting as his patron, so status will be involved here as well, with Meghan wanting more than what the BRF are prepared to give her. These demands will delay the settlement of the divorce. If the divorce will take a year from now (August), the suit of Pentacles is the suit of earth, and the next earth sign time period is Virgo, which runs from around 22nd August to 22nd September, so the divorce negotiations could go on until September next year. If we go by numbers, the six of Pentacles is just before two thirds of the ten numbered cards, and so falls in the second earth sign of the zodiac year, which again is Virgo (there are three earth signs in the zodiac year). Alternatively, if we go with Pentacles being years, it could take up to six years for the divorce to be finalised (please do not be this).
Underlying Energy: The Moon. This is the second major arcana card in the reading, and the second major energy of the reading. The Moon is a card of deceit, lies, illusions, half truths, and driving people crazy by how you use these lies. The card shows Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft, crossroads, knowledge of herbs, and childbirth, who dwells in the underworld. At her feet stands a three headed dog. The triple faces of Hecate and the three heads of the dog are coming across to me as representing the past, present, and future.
The Moon card represents the Moon in my associations, and as the Moon it is the ruling planet of Cancer and confirms the Cancer timing of the divorce. As the card of illusions, half truth, deceits etc it tells me that the divorce will be based on deceits, half truths and lies. Nothing is going to be straightforward in the information that comes out; everything will have to be examined closely to discern the truth. The three headed dog tells me that we will have to look at what happened in the past, how it is being used in the present, and what are the implications for the future, to be able to pick the truth out of the lies.
As an example of this, the Moon card in this reading is underneath the card of the Chariot, the other major arcana card in the reading. The Chariot card shows Ares, the god of War, a personification of the violence and destruction of war. It is highly likely that Meghan will falsely accuse Harry of violence towards her as part of the divorce. To support this falsehood she will take Harry's past actions (words and deeds) and twist them so he appears violent in the present, and she will do this to secure her future and destroy his.
Hecate is on the card and she is one of the goddesses associated with childbirth. This tells me that some of the lies will involve Meghan's children in some way. The moon rules the sign of Cancer (as seen by the crab on the bottom right of the Moon card), Cancer is a water sign, water represents emotions, and so the deceits and half truths shown by this card will be based on manipulating people's emotions so create a knee jerk reaction in favour of Meghan.
Conclusion: The divorce will occur sometime next year, most likely in late June or July. Negotiations may start as early as May, and may stretch out until September or longer. Money, status and material possessions will be items of contention, will Meghan pushing for more and more of these. While it would be nice if the divorce negotiations were purely business, emotions will be involved, and the whole thing will resemble a war more than anything else. There will be a lot of deceit and half-truths underneath the negotiations, both by people trying to get things to go their way, and in the matter of the marriage itself (e.g. Meghan may say Harry was violent towards her). If the BRF stick to their guns and manoeuvre around or over the obstacles without giving in and violating the boundaries they have laid down, they will be successful. Otherwise, the divorce will be Meghan writing her own terms and getting them.
Note: The timing on this will change if events occur that favour speeding up or delaying the divorce. This is how things stand as at the 16th of August 2021. While the timing will change, the energy around the divorce re negotiations, wanting more money and status, waging war to get what is wanted etc are unlikely to change. They feel more solid in their energy, more fixed in the character of the people involved, while the timing is more nebulous in its energy and it will change as events unfold and impact the parties concerned.

ok ok hear me out hear me out. Yuma becoming obsessed with one of the game’s ( few ) sentient, non-romancable npcs. Like they can think and feel and ( somewhat ) act for themselves but there just isn’t a route for them. Also bonus points of the darling is kinda bratty/prissy, we haven’t see a lot of readers like that. Ily and your writing so much, mwah — ✨ anon
My my, how different!
Welcome in, ✨ Anon! And thank you for enjoying my writing so far.
TW/Tags: I love this concept, although being very different from the norm // some ddlc vibes // I just discovered a new word and I'm so glad it exists! (prissy reader cause I think this would be very fun-) // angsty // trapping, manipulation and gaslighting // every time the gender isn't set, I like to keep it ambiguous, basically making it gender neutral (gender neutral reader) // gender neutral Yuma //

Just Yuma (lol) [Yandere!A.I OC x A.I!Reader - Headcanon]:
I like to think that a game like Yuma's would be made to entertain the players to at least 5 or so years before the next installment- Which is basically the same as the last with better graphics and switching the main love interest cast.
The games would be made clearly for the sake of fan service and slice of life material- But would be surprisingly more advanced to us than to those who have created the franchise.
Because there is already an estimation of the amount of content and for how long players would play the game, every single character should get at least some bit of highlight- So even npcs that are just there for the sake of ambience and narrative, are treated with a lot of care and given the best a.i the developers could give to make the experience entertaining.
You are just like any other non-dateable npc, except that you have gained a bit of a role in one of the main cast's routes. It wouldn't be a stretch to guess that one of these characters would be Yuma themselves.
You were supposed to be Yuma's love interest, meaning you would have an role as an player's rival- But due to an strict schedule and corporate greed, you have been demoted from having such a big impact, and now you're basically Yuma's best friend who keeps them from committing homicide every five seconds.
It's not exactly a bad role, since you keep having the same dynamic with them from before- Chaotic gremlin is best friends with Paranoid goody two shoes, now with less romantic interactions.
The only mistake by the company was to leave half of the data showcasing this relationship in the game at the release. Basically- Half of the cutscenes and dialogue involving you and Yuma not only being friends but the start of you two dating (the game kinda pairs the couples up if the player fails to date them, or simply shows disinterest in the characters to begin with-) and even some of the things involving you two during the dating phase- Even the potential break-up sequence which could be orchestrated by the player.
Well, could have- Since none of this content is really available or considered official, the only way to access it is by messing the games files.
So in a way, you're already pretty sentient as it is, you act not as a rival but as a somewhat helper into getting the player to get closer to Yuma. I don't know how much you are aware about your own circumstances, or if you even care about the concept of being just an character made for the sake of another-
In the home planet that has created and released the game, players were kinda disappointed with what happened- They preferred the deleted/unused content more than the events and dialogue that was used for you two, so much so that people started shipping you two more than actually being interested in romancing Yuma, especially since they're way too chaotic for most player's taste.
There was an update overhaul being planned to happen where not only the stuff related to you would be changed- But all the other characters and gameplay mechanics would be updated and hopefully make the game better- But ever since your cartridge has been suddenly lost and forgotten on Earth, you were never able to see that update.
Not that you were aware of it to begin with, but still, what a shame. And not only that, your game is basically Glitch Station- Absolutely filed with mods to help the gameplay be "easier" to the original owner of this cartridge. I don't think she even remembers where she has left it.
Still, even when a new save was made you felt a weird sensation of deja vu. The game has started again with a new player playing it and trying to work their way through this broken game.
You didn't understand why all these events felt familiar though, you only felt like it made sense. It was your first year in college, you got ready and made sure to look your best and give your goodbye to your parents-
It felt like this day has happened before, and even if your routine was similar, you felt like this day was supposed to be a big deal- Why does it feel oddly nostalgic?
Why… Why are the floors on your house flowing? Why are there so many empty spaces here and there? You feel like you could potentially fall from your disintegrating house. And your parents, where are they? Why can't you see them? Why can you only hear them saying goodbye back to you from one of the other rooms?
When you open the door to see them- There is nothing there. There is not even a room.
It's a door that leads to nowhere. Just an empty void.
The sensation of dread was starting to creep in yet you thought that it would be uncalled for to overreact. Like you weren't allowed to showcase concern for the odd reality around you.
You walked on foot towards your college, panicking slightly at the people who would fade in and out of existence- Yet you had held yourself from screaming, from showing any sense of vulnerability at the thought that maybe you were in a dangerous place or realm.
You were coded to not find issues with the odd reality around you, like any other npc- You were taught to hold in and try to keep a sense of normality so no players would find issue with screaming characters begging to be freed. But your nervous personality caused you to search for help, you panicked and ended up running away to what you assumed to be a safe place- Somewhere crowded with a lot of people.
The institution's gates were open, you entered like your life depended on it (and maybe it did) yet you stopped yourself from screaming when you noticed a commotion happening.
A guy who was wearing the uniform lazily has bumped into a girl, causing her to fall. She is yelling at him because the fall has broken her phone, he is trying his best to calm her down- But at the same time it feels like he is just making poor choices of words because of how sick he is of having to chat with someone so angry at an accident.
Haven't you seen this before? But if so- When? When could you possibly have seen something like that happen?-
"- [Y/N]?"
"- AAAAH- Oh hey Yuma."
You yelled after getting spooked by Yuma- Who was…. Why are they wearing that?
"- Why aren't you in your uniform, Yumie?" You asked them, showing your own uniform in the process. You called them by a sweet nickname you had given them- But when exactly?
You know that you're best friends with Yuma, but since when? You know it should have been for about 6 years or so, but… It feels like you have only known them for a year- How… Weird.
"- Don't tell me you're already breaking a rule on your first day." You pouted and stomped your fit into the ground. Yes, you know that Yuma is a troublemaker…. You know…. That.
Yuma hasn't been able to speak ever since you showed concern about their outfit. They were staring at you in shock- As if you were an odd creature who they just found.
"- Y-You can see my outfit??" They blurted out. How can you recognize it??? All the other npcs recognize it as their uniform, but why are you suddenly acting like you do??
"- Hm, duh? Sorry Yummie, but that sporty outfit of yours is more eye-catching than that guy's barely well put together uniform- Such bad manners, I bet he woke up and hastily wore the first thing he saw-" You were beginning to go on a rant about that guy's uniform- That guy being the MC of this new save file. Yuma has stopped you by pulling you away from the college's entrance and entering into a secluded area so they could interrogate you over this odd behavior you were displaying.
"- Yummie- What are you doing!?" You cried out feeling hurt by their tight grip on your wrists.
"- WHAT DID YOU CALL MY OUTFIT??" They yelled desperately. Begging for their hypothesis to be corrected.
"- … A breaking of the uniform rule?" You genuinely did not understand where they were talking about.
"- No, No NO! You said Sporty Outfit, right?" They said reminding you of what you have previously commented about their outfit.
"- Oh! Yes, yes I did- And although being somewhat casual looking- It does fit the category of sporty." You readdressed the topic while going on a bit of detail- The usual annoying talk you would always do whenever a dialogue with you was activated.
Yuma was over the edge- They have never, ever met another sentient character with the same a.i as theirs.
They haven't been this happy since a long, long time.
"- You're so annoying!" They screamed, their face showing a bright smile as tears filled their eyes.
"- Yummie that's so rude!-" You were about to defend yourself when they grabbed you and hugged you as tight as they could.
"- You're genuinely so, so, so, so, so, so ANNOYING!!" They continued to go on, laughing while crying, loving every second of this.
You were coded to be their best friend. You were coded to be the one that would balance them out. You were once coded to be someone made to be able to be their lover, but here you are- The real you, free from all the locks that would keep your a.i from growing and understanding them.
If you're able to be sentient, then all of their friends can as well.
You're the personification of a miracle, to Yuma. The personification of hope.
In this scenario, Yuma isn't aware that the player isn't the same alien who has destroyed their digital world, so to them, they can't ever let the player see you getting sentient and becoming aware of your imprisonment.
" If a player finds issues with any of the characters being portrayed, they must return the cartridge to their nearest store to get a factory reset." Such a simple yet frightening tip to Yuma, to any a.i that has suddenly found itself desperate to get out of the system that traps them.
At first, the idea of having someone like them be also aware of the situation is incredible, it's amazing even! You two could possibly work out a way of getting a way to be free- It wouldn't be easy but hopefully you two would be able to have life away from this game and even finding a way of bringing your other friends with you two.
However, after discovering that not only has the cartridge found itself on another planet with another player being the new owner of it- And discovering that it's just a matter of trading places with other people to be able to be free- Yuma would start getting really clingy to you. They have been all alone thinking that they were the only one capable of feeling and thinking for themselves.
Yuma has found those unused events and scattered dialogue, you know?
While they were looking for a possibility, any possibility of getting out- They found those unused files where you two were able to be together.
And although they thought it was weird at first, after seeing you have a better understanding of your current reality and existence- It oddly sounds fitting.
Of course it would be you, the one who always puts them back on the right tracks, to be the second one to want to escape this game.
It 's so fitting.
The idea of being something more than just a best friend to you is starting to sound more and more appealing in their eyes- It's so ironic that you two work together so well.
After Yuma gets their taste of freedom and you try to calm a frightened young guy that wasn't expecting to be suddenly kidnapped and be forced to stay in the game world for a while, you wait for them to find the solution to free everyone without trying to trap anymore "humans"..
No one should be stuck here for the sake of someone else leaving, that's what you have told them.
But Yuma didn't care. Yuma just wanted to be free with you and everyone else, who cares for those that have to deal with a glitchy game for eternity?
You two had an argument. You didn't want to continue feeling like your whole life was a lie, you want to be free but no one should be hurt in the process. What good would it be if someone else has to go through the same torment as you two?
With each day that passes by, you notice how both of your ideas of freedom were different- To the point they had to tell you the truth.
You aren't going out of there anymore. Not until you understand and truly appreciate the effort that Yuma goes through to find a way of freeing you- Of finding a victim, to be in your place.
They never told you about your previously intended role in the game, they thought you would be more terrified of following their instructions- And besides, it would be very distasteful to insinuate that the only reason that they care for you it's because of that code that was left unused- Which couldn't be more of a lie! They genuinely care for you!
…. But maybe a bit of tempering would help you see their side of the story, right?
It can't be that hard to modify some of the codes, the game is already broken anyway.

One of the things I’m actually kinda grateful to the Three Houses discourse is how it’s affected my understanding of Kamen Rider Gaim’s ending. Like, when I first watched the ending as it aired, I saw Kaito calling Kouta strong as a good thing. It was Kaito acknowledging Kouta’s strength. I saw it as a good thing. But now, after looking into social Darwinism and the idea that the strong rise to the top? It’s not so simple, and greatly informs Kouta’s decision.
For reference, in Gaim there was this interdimensional forest called Helheim that housed a fruit that would give whomever ate it god-like powers to shape the world as they saw fit. Kouta, due to using his final form which used a fragment of this power, was losing his humanity while Kaito, in despair, ate a fruit that should have turned him into a mindless monster but instead turned him into a powerful Overlord of Helheim.
Kaito is a social Darwinist (not helped by Helheim invading Earth being watched over by a personification of evolution, where weak races will be overrun while the strong will take new shapes). He believes, due to how big company Yggdrasil destroyed his family, that the strong rule over the weak and he absolutely hates it. He wants to become strong so that he can prevent the strong from abusing the weak, and when he becomes an Overlord he’s broken. He fully understands this idea is hypocritical, but he’s still going to use the power of Helheim to create the world he desires even if it means destroying the current one.
So, when Kaito calls Kouta strong as he’s dying, Kouta is everything Kaito fears (ironic, since Kouta’s supposed death is one of the things that broke him, the other being the girl he liked having her heart removed and dying since part of the fruit was attached to it). So when Kouta becomes a god, what does he do with his power? How does he shape Earth as he sees fit?
Answer: He doesn’t. He instead uses his power on some far away planet without life, leaving mankind to it’s own devices rather than forcing his version of the world on them. Because he understood Kaito’s fears at this point.
And, really, it was the culmination of Kouta’s arc. When he first became a Rider, he tried to make money off of it only to be called out on it by his sister. He was told to focus on helping others, not himself. When Ryoji turned into a monster and was killed by Kamen Rider Sigurd, Sigurd said a hero kills monsters. Kouta did not like that. When he learned he accidentally killed his best friend (turned into a monster) and that the current plan to save humanity would only save a select few, Kouta ended up rejecting that ideology, saying what right does he get to choose who lives and who dies, and instead focused on saving everyone in contrast to Micchy (who was becoming more and more of a control freak). Then we have Kaito.
Gen Urobuchi said that when writing Gaim, he was stuck on how to make an orange (Gaim’s secondary theme after samurai) heroic. Kouta’s arc is about him learning to put others ahead of himself. To help others without regard to what he stands to gain, to not play god in both deciding who gets to live and using pushing his views on the world, to be selfless and compassionate but willing to use lethal force against those who can’t be reasoned with.
I used to say Urobuchi succeeded, but now thanks to 3H I think he just didn’t succeed. He soared. The whole thing about Kouta, in the end, is that he serves as an inspiration to a reformed Micchy. That’s how he changes the world, but influencing people through his actions and beliefs. Kinda like how a character in a kid’s show can do the same for the audience. It’s been nearly a decade and Kouta’s story is still the one that hooked me like no other...aside from W and Fourze.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will launch for PlayStation 5 on June 11, 2021.
Latest details below, via the PlayStation Blog:
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a brand-new full-length adventure. When the evil Dr. Nefarious uses a device that can access alternate dimensions to find a galaxy where he always wins, Ratchet and Clank are separated. As they try to reunite, they will meet a new Lombax resistance fighter, explore new and familiar locales (but with new dimensional twists!), and wield a whole new arsenal of out of this world weapons.
If you’ve never played a Ratchet & Clank game before, this is an excellent one to start with as the adventure is a stand-alone storyline, but longtime fans of the series will find deeper layers of connection to previous games.
We’re also here today to reveal new artwork for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. This beautiful new piece speaks to the game’s theme of duality. Ratchet and Clank are the personification of opposites forming a more powerful whole and this theme is expanded even more through alternate-dimension counterparts of characters and worlds.
Pre-orders start today too! Here’s a look at the digital content you unlock early when you pre-order the Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition:
That’s right, two fan-favorites will make their way into Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The Carbonox armor from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003) is now updated with high-definition materials, lighting responses, and ray-traced reflections. Players will also receive an early-unlock of the Pixelizer weapon, the retro-blaster from Ratchet & Clank (2016), also updated visually for the PS5 console.
We also will have a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game available digitally on the PlayStation Store for $79.99 USD / $99.99 CAD. You’ll receive five additional armor sets, 20 Raritanium to get a head start on upgrading your weapons, a sticker pack to use in Ratchet & Clank’s first ever photo mode, as well as a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack.
As with other recent games, at participating retailers in the United States and Canada, we will have special physical Launch Editions of the game for $69.99 USD / $89.99 CAD MSRP. The Launch Edition will include early unlocks to the Carbonox armor and Pixelizer weapon packed in on a voucher* inside the box (while supplies last). Also, you can pre-order the Standard Edition digitally on the PlayStation Store for $69.99 USD / $89.99 CAD MSRP to receive early unlocks to these items or check with your local game retailers to see if they are offering the pre-order incentive with the Standard Edition.
And yes, we know you are asking for the new Lombax’s name. And it’s not fair that we put her in the art and aren’t telling you yet. Hang in there, you’ll be feeling rosy soon.
