Yorozu's line about Sukuna knowing "love" despite in the past that in his eyes looked "lonely" wasn't about no love interest he had in the past (nor about love in the romantic sense) but he found a kindred spirit who is similar to him and looks forward to their clash as a way to fill that void
I suspect Sukuna's feeling of "loneliness" is similar to Gojo's in being alone the strongest, or the honored one. What Sukuna's "love" Yorozu saw was finally fighting someone like him, to give him that thrill that he never felt during his life. It's going to be an interesting clash of ideals along with obvious strength as Gojo wished to raise the next generation to be equals to not be alone vs Sukuna ruling through strength to spur someone to be on his level.
#jjk#jujutsu kaisen#jjk spoilers#satoru gojo#ryoumen sukuna#yorozu#thus im not a gojo doomer because besides me knowing that gojo is Him#gojo losing would prove sukuna's idea of might is right is correct for the future and that would be a wack conclusion#look gojo being to not only fight with other people and not be worried and even with like yuji or smth would be amazing#im rambling idk if i made sense and someone probably articulated this better than me#obligatory not the love in the romantic sense#i think if i were to go back to gojo vs sukuna way back at the beginning sukuna was enjoying that clash as well#i think him proclaiming that gojo is going to be the first one to eat shit and die is him-#hype that there's finally someone who doesn't suck ass compared to him

megumi fushiguro x reader headcanons
gender neutral
sfw

→ megumi loves being close to you. the way you cling to him and how you speak in his ear; he just turns to putty in your arms. he’ll deny it, but he knows it’s true. there’s nothing he loves more than resting his head on your chest while you stroke his hair and whisper all his worries away.
~
“mmm… five more minutes…” the boy grumbles, his arms only contracting tighter around your waist as you attempt to get up from underneath him. no matter how many times you told him you had things to do, he didn’t budge.
“we’ve been laying like this for two hours!”
“…fine. three more minutes.”
→ he ADORES your eyes. the way they shine, the way they light up when you see him, it all drives him crazy. he could get lost in them. sometimes he does.
~
“megs, are you even listening to me?” you ask, raising your eyebrow. you had been ranting about something for a few minutes, but megumi didn’t seem to be paying attention. the boy was too busy staring into your eyes, even adoring the way they look when you’re angry. he was snapped out of his trance when you snapped your fingers in front of his face.
“hm..?”
“are you listening to me?”
“yeah, yeah, totally.”
→ he gets jealous really easily. he doesn’t like it when you give other people attention. a lot of the time, he gets pouty and clingy after seeing you happy around someone else.
~
“who was that?” megumi asked, his arms snaking around your waist to hold you against his body.
“just a friend i haven’t seen in a while,” you shrug, leaning into his touch.”
“…oh…” the boy’s hands grip your waist as he buries his face deep in the crook of your neck. he just stands there for a moment, breathing in your scent. “just a friend..?”
“just a friend.”
→ he hates it when you’re left alone with gojo. his father figure tells you all kinds of stories about him when he was younger. everything from embarrassing pictures to things he drew, you’ve seen it all.
~
megumi had only left for five minutes at max. the two of you were sitting at the table having coffee, and he needed to go do something real quick. in that short amount of time, gojo had stolen his place at the table and was telling you all kinds of tales from when your boyfriend was younger.
“gojo!” megumi groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. gojo just chuckled.
“c’mon, i’m just telling them about you!”
“stop. just… stop.”
→ not only does megumi get jealous of other people, he also gets jealous of his dogs. he always says they’re for fighting, not petting. that you’ll just spoil them and they won’t listen to him. yet, every single time you ask, he lets you see them.
~
megumi watched with a blank face as you showered the dogs with affection. the white one was licking your face, and the black one was rubbing its head against your palm. the boy grumbled, his eyes narrowing slightly. why couldn’t you give him all that attention? it wasn’t fair. though he was jealous, he couldn’t help but smile. you looked happy, and that was (mostly) all he cared about.
→ he has hundreds of pictures of you between his camera and his phone. you’re even his wallpaper. you’re just so perfect, he can’t stop. he makes sure you’re okay with it too, not wanting to cross any boundaries.
~
“smile.” megumi says, pointing his phone at you. the moment you curl your lips up, he takes a picture before tapping the little heart icon at the bottom to add it to his favorites. you slide over to catch a quick peek at the way the picture looked. your brow furrowed.
“hmm, that one looks a little weird.”
“i think it’s perfect.”

⌢ ⌢ yandere gojo x gn reader
␥ content — yandere, drabble, sfw, predator/prey ?, forced proximity, forced dependency, gojo is a bitch, gojo gets someone to (attempt to) hurt you, gojo treats you like a naive pet ... 760 words
Your feet ache. It feels like they are bleeding, and each time your heel hits the ground, you swear you can feel your skin tear and blister. Despite the pain, your desperation and adrenaline kept you running. You kept scurrying away, as your current agony was far, far more light compared to what awaited you if you stopped. Deep down, though, you knew you would suffer the same fate. All you were doing was delaying the inevitable: when he caught you.
Gojo never cared much for your pathetic attempts at escaping. You'd normally never get far, as he would always be able to you before you could truly begin running. Gojo would let you feel like you finally were about to do it, before shattering your dreams and taking you in his arms once more. He only laughed as you cried, and paid no mind to your weak hands hitting his chest. You were nothing compared to his strength, and no amount of fighting could get him away.
That is until you slipped away this morning. Somehow, Gojo didn't know that you were running away. Miraculously, his attention was elsewhere, and you could tell it was something serious. At least, more serious than you, since he hadn't been pestering you as much. You took your chances, and you ran. You could actually make it this time.
You didn't doubt that Gojo noticed your absence within a few minutes of you being gone, so you had to waste no time. You quickly stumbled around the buildings, taking you to the outskirts where only forest and sparse houses remained. You had left no trace of your direction, as far as you could tell, so there was no way he'd be able to trace you down. You wouldn't run into him.
But you would run into other people. Your aching feet forced you to slow down slightly. You panted slightly, making sure to survey the surroundings around you. That's when you spot someone. It wasn't Gojo. They turned around and noticed you pretty quickly. You softly smiled: perhaps they'd help you. You stumbled closer to them, desperate for some sort of shelter to hide in temporarily.
They smiled back as you came closer. You opened your mouth to speak before falling silent. They had a knife and had brought it up to you. It rested on your shoulder, the blade staring at your neck. They tightly gripped onto your weak, exhausted body. You couldn't move: you were overpowered, tired, and in shock. The person spoke up, "Has nobody ever told you to not trust strangers? You shouldn't be wandering around this late, especially looking so vulnerable. Don't worry, I'll make this quick."
Their smile grew wider as the knife grew closer. The tip caressed your skin. You shut your eyes, knowing you couldn't do anything as it came closer. Closer. Closer. And then it stopped.
You paused for a moment before opening your eyes. There was a hand around the person's throat. The one behind quickly through them to the ground and scooped you up. He caressed your neck, where a small, shallow cut lay. You recognized his hands, his touch. Gojo had found you. Part of you wished you had just died by the stranger, while another part of you was actually happy to see him.
Gojo hugged you to his chest before looking at the person on the ground. Gojo's hands that were comforting you gently cupped your ears, blocking your hearing for a moment. He said to the person, "You weren't supposed to cut them, idiot. Leave before I change my mind about staying true to my end of the deal." His voice was slightly mocking. He watched with a smile as the person left, before redirecting his attention to you.
Gojo moved his hands to your cheeks as he stared at you. He kissed the tip of your forehead. His voice was soft, but in a faux, manipulative way, "You shouldn't have run away. Do you see how dangerous it is out there? You're lucky to be with me, where I won't hurt you, yeah? It's okay, I forgive you. It was my fault for leaving a dumb pet alone without a caretaker." You only cried. You didn't know if it was from the fear of being killed, the slightly sting on your neck, or the fact that you'd been caught. But he was right, wasn't he? He didn't hurt you. Gojo loved you.
"You ran away because I wasn't giving you enough attention," He said. It was less of a question and more of a statement, trying to convince you that that was the reason you ran. He smiled wider.
"Let's go home now."

Yandere: Squid Games Satoru Gojo
I'm trying to get a fic done by valentines day but i'm worried i won't have it in time :(
just some bedtime thoughts. I have a lot more but i am e x h a u s t e d. might do other characters and games, or more 'Toru!
murder, killing, groping, red light green light
.
For so long now, Satoru has been harassing you. He's sabotaged your work, your friendships, your incomes, all so you'd be forced to fall into him and accept his kindness. It almost works, too, you almost find yourself begging for him to make it all stop, to help you.
Then, you're given an opportunity of a lifetime. You're invited to a game, a shit load of money up for grabs. They usually offer people down on their luck to give you a fighting chance. It's perfect. You need the money, he doesn't so he wouldn't be invited.
You should know your stalker better by now.
Being one of the richest families in the world, Satoru obviously knows about these games. He couldn't care less, it's just an event for billionaires to flaunt their wealth and make fun of the poor.
Then, your name comes up on the listing. Backgrounds, numbers, names and pictures appear for those who want to gamble.
Oh, his poor darling! He's going to have the spy's life he had tail you ruined for not reporting this to him.
Only to see the spy is also part of the games.
It's all too easy to get in. Almost everyone here wants Satoru gone, his business a threat. When he says he wants to be part of the games, they're shocked, confused, but no one objects.
Throw your life away? Go for it.
Satoru Gojo doesn't care about his life. He only cares about being next to you. If this is where you two meet your end so be it. Dead or alive, you'll be in his arms~
...
When you get an opportunity to escape your stalker, to get a shit load of money that you can take home and help your sick family with, all for playing some games, how can you say no?
Satoru won't leave you alone, but, they say no one will be able to follow you here, only participants in the game will allowed to go to the venue. It's crazy, you wouldn't normally step out of your comfort zone, but here you are!
Being drugged and essentially kidnapped is not what you thought would happen.
You wake up on a bunk bed, groggy, in different attire with hundreds of other people in the room. Hands feel over yourself to gauge that everything is in place.
Looking down, you see a number on your chest, "456".
The people around you are also numbered, confused, and heading to the centre of the room.
You're one of the few that stay on your bed, legs crossed, waiting for an explanation.
People in pink suits with shapes on their masks and guns, literal weaponry enter from the door. Contestants demand answers, pink people remain calm, and by the end of it, a large, clear piggy bank descends from the ceiling with a fun, little tune.
You jump off your bed in awe, is that thing really going to be full by the end of the games?
That kind of money seems impossible.
There's a tap on your shoulder, your head whipping around to see who wants your attention.
Satoru, fucking, Gojo. You're stalker. Who just so happens to be number 001, because he's just that perfect.
"Yo!" He greets, as if this was expected. He even got his fucking, circular, black glasses in.
Your eyebrows furrow and you hiss at him, "What are you doing here?! You're not supposed to be allowed in."
He taps at his number proudly, "I'm a player, see? They couldn't keep me away even if they wanted to."
Your fists clench in anger and frustration, "You don't even need the money, arsehole. Quit."
"I'm not here for the money," his hands come to your face, fingers starting to brush through the fringe of your hair, "I'm here for you-"
"Don't touch me!" Some people are looking your way, you don't care, maybe the staff will do something, "You already ruined my life. Just let me do this."
He laughs at you, hands in his pockets as he leans back on his heels, "Oh, honeypie, you have no idea what you're getting yourself into. If only you took your place by my side when you had the chance~"
They announce the first game is about to commence, you just huff and hit your shoulder against his arm as you stomp passed him.
.
Red Light Green Light. How nostalgic, a game that always made your stomach curl as you thought of creatures like weeping angels.
Satoru was a few people away, stretching his limbs as he grins and winks at you. You don't acknowledge him, keeping your gaze straight ahead.
The first few rounds are successful, it isn't until a quarter in that someone missteps.
Gunshots ring out, blood splatters, and the ground goes silent.
...
Before the screaming and running take place. You were isolated enough that no one hit you, only a few getting shot before your eyes, most being picked off behind you.
You couldn't believe what was happening.
When the doll turns its head around again, you stay still.
Satoru stands in front of you, unfazed by all the terror. He keeps a casual pose as he says, "There's a timer up there," your eyes see it, behind the doll, "If you don't make it over the line by the end, you'll die too."
Green light, he takes your hand and you start off walking. Tears now trickle down your cheeks, voice soft in a whimper, "Are they really dead?"
Red light. You both stay silent and still.
Green light, he makes you walk a bit faster, "Yeah, they are. It seems they're not playing around here."
Red light. You're standing beside a body, the man groaning, begging to be helped.
Green light, Satoru ignores him and you both run. Just before red light, he spins you around and holds you close to him, chest pressed against chest. You see the piles of corpses against the doors you came through, eyes widening. He speaks into your hair, "I'll protect you, though. We can get through this together."
You turn and jog away when it's safe, "You're way too calm about all this."
Red light, he has you in his arms again, face buried in your neck. His mouth is open, tongue licking and slobbering on your skin while you can do nothing about it.
The clock is ticking down, and as you're getting closer and closer to the line, he's slowing you down and hanging off of you, "I don't care about those people. Why do you? They're strangers after."
"People were just killed, Satoru! We could be next."
He holds you still, a few metres away from the line. The clock is ticking down, multiple rounds go through but he uses the moment to grope you, squeeze your flesh, kiss and bite your neck, "Nah, I won't let that happen. Just stick with me and you'll be fine."
One minute left, one minute and you either die or survive. You remember you're not just here to get away from him, you're here for the money that could help your family. To restart your lives.
"I don't mind, though. I'd be happy to die with you in my arms, too. Some people say I'm picky but when it comes to you, I'll do anything."
30 seconds, the light goes green, he's not moving. You have to stop your jaw from trembling so hard, "F-Fine. Fine! Please, let me go so we can get across!"
Red light. There's no way. This psychopath just killed you.
Green light. He laughs, picking you up and sprinting with long strides, making it over with one second to spare.
You fall to your knees when he sets you down. The stragglers are being picked off. He bends over to steal your line of sight, "I'm so happy! You really know how to drive the suspense."
He's laughing his head off, your mourning these people's lives and your freedom.

Hi.. could you do best friend itadori x reader where itadori is a platonic yandere but then becomes romantic yandere when they are 1 year away from going to college?
-💮
Oh sure! This sounds like a cute idea :)
Yandere! Best Friend! Yuji Itadori Concept
Pairing: Platonic -> Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Jealousy, Blood, Violence, Stalking, Possessive behavior, Denial of feelings, Clingy behavior, Dubious relationship.
Yuji has always cared for you during Jujutsu High.
Even when he was a vessel, he's been protective of you.
I can definitely see Yuji falling for a best friend he has.
When he was learning to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer he barely had time for love.
Despite this... He always felt a close connection with you.
Through training under Gojo sensei, you two worked together to he Jujutsu Sorcerers.
Yuji didn't realize it at the time, but throughout his school life he fell for you more and more.
Even when you all lost Gojo during Shibuya and felt lost... You did your best to guide Yuji forward.
Yuji's always been concerned about your safety.
Even to the point Sukuna comments on you, wondering if the teen is having a little crush.
Yuji always ignores the curse in his head, thinking that it can't possibly be what he feels for you.
He... He's just like a brother, right...?
Although even that doesn't feel right to him.
There've been many situations in just his first year of meeting you where he's gotten bloody on your behalf.
Many battles have led to injury or him pummeling another curse user.
Each time you've been at his side to check his wounds and help him.
Yuji's experiences have made him worry about losing you.
He hates that you've both seen countless deaths and injuries due to curses and curse users.
This is one of the reasons your best friend is so overprotective.
He never leaves your side, checks to see if he trusts the people he leaves you alone with...
Get into fights with those who failed to protect you....
You've been his family since he started Jujutsu High.
You've always been there for him, his best friend....
Even when Sukuna's defeated and he continues high school with you, that protective behavior remains.
He's covered in scars from his battles... grimacing when he sees them on you too, apologizing for being unable to watch you.
Not that they... don't look attractive...
What is he thinking!?
It's nice for him to not have Sukuna whispering impulsive thoughts in his head.
He can finally clear his head... focus on you...
Why does he keep thinking of you?
Yuji is probably in denial about his feelings.
He wants to focus on his studies and training.
Yet he keeps finding his gaze flick over to you, wondering what it would be like if you two...
Best not to say that right now.
Yuji truthfully develops a crush throughout high school.
You both have grown quite strong and he only seems to admire you more the more you grow.
He tries his best not to show his growing feelings until after high school.
He still finds himself calling and texting often... visiting you... training with you...
You two are practically unable to be separated yet he hates admitting his crush.
You probably don't feel the same... and he should just watch over you for now.
Unfortunately... Watching you develop relationships with other people tends to make his heart ache.
College wasn't something Yuji thought he'd do.
Yet when you both graduated and you expressed an interest in pursuing a career outside of Sorcerer duties.
Well... He couldn't help but want to follow you.
Yuji wasn't sure what major he wanted, he just knew he wanted to continue being in your life.
Which is what leads him to setting up a college application to support your interests.
Yuji's not that bad of a yandere with Sukuna gone.
He isn't murderous and is most likely not going to kidnap.
He's a soft yandere, acting like a puppy around you when he finally accepts he has a crush on you.
Yuji tried to give you space before college, but he finds himself unable to do it.
Even if you were seeing someone at the time, he can't ignore the feelings steadily growing within him.
He's gone from wanting to protect you... to also wanting to kiss you.
He wants you to know you're loved.
Yuji would probably confess before you both went to college.
He's surprisingly shy, fidgeting as he admits he's loved you for a long time now.
If you're single and accept him, he's ecstatic.
If you aren't single or are and just decline... Yuji's understanding and drops it for now.
Yet he doesn't stop obsessing over you.
While he's a soft yandere, he still stalks you.
He tries not to... but he's so concerned about you he can't stay away from you.
You mean everything to him...
Even if you don't love him now, he hopes you will at some point.
If you had someone you were dating already, Yuji's going to secretly sabotage that relationship.
Then he's going to comfort you as your best friend... all while saying you deserve so much better.
While he doesn't want to be... Yuji can be manipulative.
He wants to be the only one for you.
His whole plan was for you to date in college....
It would be perfect!
His jealousy tends to make Yuji pushy, gently trying to nudge you into loving him.
He doesn't want to be best friends anymore...
He wants to be your boyfriend.
One way or another, Yuji's going to drag you into a relationship with him....
Even if it's just a pity date... Yuji plans to prove to you he's perfect for you.
He'll protect you like a good boyfriend should... just like he always has....
Yuji's intense with affection since he's trying to prove he's a good boyfriend.
He loves you... so much.
If it means hugging you tightly and covering you in kisses, he'll do it.
It's hard to focus on training or class work when he can only think of you.
He understands you may just want to be friends...
He tries to be patient...
But by now he can't see you as just a friend anymore.
He's addicted to you and your attention.
All he looks forward to is dragging you to his dorm for cuddles.
Probably even a bit of PDA in class to show others you're his.
While not a bad boyfriend... He doesn't leave you alone.
Yuji watches you from a distance when you're with others, he tracks your phone and socials...
He wants to be involved with everything you do.
He refuses to lose you to anyone.
He just can't... You need to be his.
If you aren't... He might just go insane.
There's times he's threatened those around you, unable to hide his jealousy.
There's times you hope the blood on his hands is just due to him training too hard.
He never gives a straight answer.
You can try to tell Yuji to back off, to give space for you to clear your head...
He backs off for a little while.
Yet then he comes right back like being alone is the most horrible experience for him.
You try to have Nobara and Megumi distract him... No dice.
Yuji now finally understands what he feels for you.
You're not his best friend... you're meant to be his partner.
Yuji wants to support, protect, and care for you... Nothing will take you from him...
As long as he loves you... Yuji will never leave you alone... even if you asked him too.

Nightmares

anon: felt like hurting myself with this instead of practising for my math exam.....
JJK Spoiler Warning!!
You always had very abnormal and detailed dreams.
One example was the one Satoru woke you up from.
“Y/N, open your eyes.”
You startled awake and stared with wide, teary eyes at your lover. He had already engulfed you in his arms, worry evident on his face. Whenever he saw you in distress, he felt it even more intensely. “What’s wrong?”
“I just—” you swallowed again, “I had a dream.” His fingers continued stroking your hair, encouraging you to continue. “You fought against Sukuna and died. Then, instead of being buried, your body was taken by Yuta. He risked his life by taking over your body and fighting Sukuna with your power.”
Some seconds passed.
Satoru’s hearty laughter filled the room, and you pulled away, offended by his audacity to laugh at your fear.
“Babe,” he said, seeing your expression and stopping his laughter, though a slight smirk remained. “You have the wildest fantasies, even in your unconsciousness. Seriously, no one could make something like this up. It’s too bizarre even for sci-fi movie makers. Saying that, maybe you should become a wri—”
He was interrupted by a pillow being slammed into his face.
Luckily for you, he didn’t have his infinity on.
“Stop making fun of my fears.” You crossed your arms and leaned back from his touch.
Satoru pouted, alarmed at your reaction. He took your face in his hands, caressing it gently. “Mochi, I’m not. Believe me, I’m just kidding, but I do think you have a cool mind. You should be proud of it.”
Damn him. He knew how to sweet-talk you. Your still-concerned eyes looked up at him. The dream felt too real not to be scary.
“You promise you won’t die and let your body be misused by other people?”
“I promise.”
He couldn’t hide a smirk. “You know you’re dating the strongest. There’s no one I would lose to in a battle.” A kiss followed on your forehead.
“I could never leave you alone.”
_______
It feels like you were trapped in a nightmare, perhaps one orchestrated by Satoru himself.
Seeing your boyfriend dead and split in half on the table just moments ago was horrifying. But seeing his body now, standing in full glory and ready to fight against Sukuna, was even worse. This wasn’t the man you loved; it was Yuta, the small boy your lover adored. You felt betrayed not only by Satoru for breaking his promise but also by everyone else—your friends and his friends.
The only one who could slightly relate to your emotional state was Yuji. Neither of you were aware of the plan when it was made, nor were you able to stop it from happening.
To preserve the honor of Gojo Satoru and the love you felt for him, you desperately wished he would wake you from this nightmare and embrace you again.

OMG I REALLY LIKE UR YAN GETO HC!! It's quite rare seeing sub yan fic these days... And if u don't mind, may I rq yan Gojo hc? (No pressure tho)
Have a nice day/night!
Thank u! And yes ! I’m such a fan of subby yanderes . Makes me sad there aren’t more :((
Here’s some Yan gojo for the soul
College au? Normal Yandere stuff, gojo is possessive and very bratty and subby! umm lotsa nsfw in this one, mentions of choking, gojo is very masochistic but still very loving, kind mentions of gojo getting beaten up but … yea
Yan! Gojo who notices you the moment you step into those door of the classroom, and he makes himself your never ending curse ever since
Yan! Gojo who is convinced you must love him, since he’s irresistible. Why wouldn’t you love him? The object of his affections has taste, after all.
Yan! Gojo who thinks you’re playing hard to get when you say you aren’t interested. There’s no need to be shy! He’s not going anywhere.
Yan! Gojo who’s delusional enough to think you’re dating simply because you looked at him a second too long.
Yan! Gojo who sees himself as the only one worthy to be in your presence. Everyone else doesn’t matter.
Yan! Gojo who loves to compliment you, but expects the same back. Otherwise he gets mad at you. However, if you ask why he’s mad he claims he’s fine ! There’s nothing wrong! But he’s silently brooding at the fact you didn’t compliment him back.
In the same breath Yan! Gojo who gets mad when you don’t notice slight changes in his appearance such as a different shampoo he’s using. He did it just for you! How could you not notice?
Yan! Gojo who insists you kiss him whenever you talk to that stupid bitch that keeps grabbing your hand.
Yan! Gojo who’s completely unashamed in how badly he wants you, and tells you as such.
Yan! Gojo who can’t get off unless you’re inside of him (whether that be your dick in him or his dick in u lol)
Yan! Gojo who wants you to pull his hair and completely wreck him. He knows he can be a overconfident brat, please put him in his place!
Because for as much as he’s the only right one for you, you’re the only right one for him. The only one that can put him in his place.

Imagine being the first Gojo to have both the six eyes and be able to handle such techniques such as infinity and hollow purple back during the Heian period with Sukuna, the one and only King of Curses, being your rival.
Back in the day, during that time period, good and evil wasn't so clear. Sorcerers and Curses alike fought to gain the upper hand to stand at the top of the world.
You and Sukuna, on the other, didn't have to prove anything as you both were already such prominent and powerful figures that all knew of and didn't dare fight.
But eventually you found your weekly fights with Sukuna to be getting worse. You were on the losing end more frequently.
You couldn't pinpoint why you were weakening and why Sukuna was getting stronger still. Well, until it became obvious.
You were growing older.
Back during the prime of your youth, you could keep up with Sukuna easily and bat away any curses or sorcerers who threatened, but now? Your bones ache and fights take longer than they used to.
At first, you didn't mind. Aging was just part of the human process of life. But you did worry. You were strong. Stronger than any of your sorcerer brethren. You feared they wouldn't be able to keep up and you knew that another Gojo to be born like you wouldn't happen for a long long time.
So you cursed yourself and became something akin to Sukuna. A curse with horns protruding from your head, a diamond like crown encircling your brow, a single wing manifesting along your back while a second wing formed in that of black lines to mirror the other.
Many said you went mad and had disappeared and turned into a curse because of it.
And with your disappearance, legends were told on how you created a second plane of existence where a fortress of midnight resides and how the daylight never reaches there.
Many tried to follow after you be to kill you or to seek answers, but none ever found where this so called second plane existed.
Others say that Sukuna visits you quite frequently. They say that is why the earth shakes and the clouds turn dark and rumble. They say that's why natural disasters form and people die. All because you to battle one another for years on end. Your human life no longer holding you back.
And ever since Sukuna was sealed away as a cursed object (the objects being his fingers), the legends of your existence seemed to cease altogether. Until much later ... in present time.
"Who ... are you?"
Itadori fell backwards. His eyes wide and his heart beating fast. His breath quickened. His palms felt sweaty and he couldn't deny the tremble shaking him to his very core. As he looked upon the figure who split the sky open and descended down, he couldn't help but to think ... was this fear?
The person or whatever they were, looked down at him. He resisted the urge to run away when the person's feet touched the ground and started to walk towards him.
"How pathetic. You decide to host such a weak body now?"
Itadori felt Sukuna's mouth form on his cheek, "save it Gojo scum, at least I wasn't the one who decided to become some damn hermit and hide away all this time."
You waved your hand dismissively, "I wasn't hiding away, it's just this world wouldn't be able to handle my cursed energy flowing from my body for long. That's why I made my own plain of existence in the first place. Besides, that didn't stop you from visiting me."
Itadori, in that moment, couldn't help but to feel like a third wheel. Just who were you anyway? And did Sukuna call you Gojo?

First meetings Pt 1
Summary: You were born with pure energy along with your clan’s most prized inherited cursed technique, causing them to sheltered you from the outside world by the elders to focus your life as a jujutsu sorcerer. However, one day on a mission you encountered a white haired man with striking blue eyes that will change your life forever.
You were already a grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer and considered the top of the Kyoto Metropolitan Curse Technical College, as you were acknowledged by the higher ups.
You were sent on a mission with two other female jujutsu sorcerers to send a cursed tool to a specific location. This cursed tool is said to be some sort of weapon that could purify special grade spirits in an instant but only the higher ups knew the truth. The Tsukimoto clan is known for their cursed technique of their powerful purification due to excellent control on cursed energy and is only shown mostly in girls.
You were born with pure energy and later proved you have the clan’s inherited technique, thus forcing you to go through your clan’s ritual that could enhance your cursed energy to purify curses of spirits and nullify negative energy. Utahime who heard this from the higher ups begged you to not go through this. “ Y/N, you don’t have to agree to this” as she holds both of your hands hoping that you’ll change your mind.
“ Hime- chan, I appreciate you for standing up to me but as a first grade sorcerer of the Kyoto branch and the heir of the Tsukimoto clan, I have to agree on doing the ritual . I also don’t want you to get into trouble with the higher ups and elders on my behalf, after all we don’t have much choice in this world of ours. Besides this is my home I had ever known” as you closed your eyes as you gave a sad smile to your best friend, knowing because of this ritual, you are prevented from leaving the compound or establishments related to the main branch along with the HQ if it isn’t mission related. However you truly wish to be free to explore the world and be free from the clans and HQ’s hold on you but you already accepted your fate.
Utahime understands your decision as she knows that you would put your mission first to protect others but also worries about your well-being as she is the only one who got to know you personally. She knew of the rigorous training you went through as child when you have your clan’s most precious cursed technique of purification and of now of being a prime candidate of being a consort towards other powerful clans, especially the Zen’in. You would always agree just to protect your family to spare them the wrath of the elders even if it means losing your freedom.
As you and your teammates were in the truck with the fake weapon, your teammate, the truck suddenly shook violently. You sensed cursed energy. “We’re under attack, prepare for battle” as your teammate Aya, she starts her attack only to realize the target from the report, already has the ‘weapon’. “ So is this the Purifying Tool that Intel talked about?
“ Identify yourself and turn yourself in” as Aya points her katana to him.
“There’s nothing inside. We’ve been misled” as he crumbled the box.
“So that’s how you want to play boy, say hiya to my little friend” as your other teammate, Suki, uses her weaponed fans to channel her cursed energy to him, as you notice the leader has a unique talisman object to fight back. Aya then strikes from behind him as she looks at you, “ Tsukimoto-san, he has me, it’s your turn to run the show now!” As you prepare your bow and arrow in the air to strike an attack. However while you managed to wore him out, he managed to bounce you the ledge, causing you to black out
———
Gojo Satoru, the man who is blessed by the heavens with the six eyes. As he is the strongest sorcerer in the jujutsu world, he is quite known for his loud, boisterous nature that annoys a lot of people. As he was skipping school for fun, much to Yaga Sensei’ s annoyance.
“Satoru, skipping class again” as his best friend, Suguru, called through the phone. “It will be fine. We are the strongest after all. Besides, how is skipping school going to hurt us” as he walks on the road and hears a heavy sigh on the other side. “ And you question why Yaga scolds you for your antics” as he is one of the very few people who can handle his crazy shenanigans.
As Satoru was about to head towards a plaza, he sensed strong cursed energy along with a loud sound afterwards, he noticed a girl falling from the sky. “Whelp I am heading out” as he ends his call with Suguru as he manages to catch the girl with his technique.
“This isn’t how I imagine angels are sent but she seems out” as he notices that she is from the Kyoto branch and recognizes who she is.
——
As he went back to the campus, Yaga was already there to give him an usual lecture of his antics but only to stop when seeing you unconscious. “I found her falling from the sky, guessing she was attacked by some cursed spirit they were after” as they were heading to the infirmary for you to rest.
As Satoru places you on the infirmary bed, a lot of thoughts start to emerge in his head. “What was I thinking? Why did I bring her here” he asks himself. “She’s a clan kid and part of the sister school in Kyoto. Boy did I do a lot of stunts to get their hands on me. But I couldn’t leave her on her own” as he sits on a chair, as he leans back.

"How close is soon?"
"Close enough."
It’s been almost three months, and here you are, your routine unchanged. You’re starting to wonder if this was ever really worth it. If Satoru Gojo is worth all of this effort. You feel yourself travelling further and further into the wolf’s den, your protective light slowly flickering out. Soon you’ll be left in total darkness, with only the wolves to comfort you. You wonder how long you’ll be able to get by, feeling the damp walls, etched with his poison, with your fingertips before you trip over the corpse of someone else who came before you.
Within the depths of your being, a conflict raged. One part of you yearned to continue, to press forward despite the darkness and uncertainty of a life with Gojo. The other part, weary and wounded, longed for escape, for a way to retreat from the perilous path you had set foot upon. You had ventured into the unknown, leaving behind the familiar and safe, all for a glimmer of hope. But as time passed, the shine of that hope seemed to diminish, replaced by an encroaching sense of despair. The wolves followed you all this way…you couldn’t let them down, could you?
The bell rings.
You’re snapped out of your thoughts, blinking a couple of times to stabilise yourself. Right. You were at work. You clear your throat and start packing up, preparing for the lunch break. The students quickly file out of the class, eager to enjoy the sunlight that just started peaking out from behind the grey clouds.
Gojo sits on the edge of your desk, smirking down at you. “Hey.”
You smile softly. “Hey.”
He glances back at the door before looking at you. “You thinking what I’m thinking?”
Fuck. Your eye twitches a little. You had a sneaking suspicion. “What are you thinking about?”
Gojo smirks, reaching out to stroke your cheek. “You bent over the desk, spread out all pretty for me…maybe I’ll gag you so no one interrupts us.” Your eye twitches again. You didn’t want to fuck Gojo right now, but you know you can’t just tell him ‘no’ without him trying to fight you. Maybe it wouldn’t be too bad. Maybe he would cum quickly and not even worry about your orgasm. You sigh, shutting your eyes for a second, and before you can speak there’s a soft knock on the classroom door. He immediately jumps away from you, returning to his desk before mumbling, “Come in.”
The door opens and Shoko peeks her head in her eyes immediately fixing on Gojo before speaking, “Hey. Are you still coming out with me and Akari tonight?”
What? You look between the two of them, confused. Gojo was supposed to be going out with you tonight, and even though both of you would have to leave the city and travel separately to avoid suspicion, you had been looking forward to your weekend away with him.
Gojo smirks, adjusting his blindfold. “Of course. Same place?”
“Yeah, same place.” Shoko looks at you, and her eyes widen as if she’s suddenly remembering that you exist. “Oh, sorry! We meant to invite you but…Akari’s car can only fit three.”
That’s the biggest fucking lie you’ve ever heard. What car can only fit three people? You smile as genuinely as you can. “No worries. I’m busy tonight anyways.” Shoko seems to brush off your response, saying a quick goodbye to Gojo before exiting the room.
Gojo turns to you as soon as he hears Shoko’s feet shuffling away. “Sorry, I didn’t tell you. I know you wanted to go out tonight but…I can’t say no to her. She’ll get suspicious if she sees me with you.”
You feel like the capillaries in your eyes are about to burst. “You promised we would go out tonight, Gojo. I was looking forward to this.”
Gojo sighs. “I know, baby. It’s just that she asked me to go with her, and I knew that if I said no she would ask about my previous plans, and I can’t just lie to Shoko.”
"But you can lie to me?" you ask, your voice tinged with both disbelief and a hint of hurt.
Gojo groans, running a hand through his hair. "Don't say it like that. It's not like that at all. I'm just...protecting my reputation."
You raise an eyebrow, unconvinced. "Your reputation? Being the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in the world? The unbeatable Gojo Satoru?"
Gojo sighs, a sheepish grin tugging at the corners of his lips. "Well, yeah. But there's more to me than just that, you know. I have a carefully crafted image to uphold."
You scowl. "Right. Because being the most powerful sorcerer in the world isn't enough. You also have to be an unattainable bachelor."
Gojo chuckles, reaching out to gently cup your cheek. "It's not about being enough. It's about maintaining a certain mystique. It's part of the job."
Even though you know his act is purely for show, you find yourself believing it anyway. “You don’t have to lie to me to keep your reputation, Gojo.”
He nods, his expression serious. “I know, it’s just…it's not just about me. It's about the jujutsu world, about maintaining the balance. You know how important appearances can be."
You push his hand off. “Whatever. I hope you have fun.”
He scowls. “Don’t push me away. You know I don’t like that.”
You laugh, standing up and grabbing your bag. “I don’t like being played with.”
Gojo reaches out and grabs your arm. “I can play with you however I like. You’re mine. Don’t forget that.”
“Whatever, Gojo.” You say, pulling your arm away and leaving the classroom, harshly closing the screen door behind you.
During your lunch break, you find an unexpected sense of tranquility. In the past, the mere thought of eating alone elicited feelings of isolation and longing, you yearned to sit next to Gojo. However, lately, you've discovered a newfound appreciation for this solitary time away from him. The absence of Gojo's magnetic pull allows you to explore different facets of yourself without the influence of his opinions or expectations of you. You can finally think, and you find yourself again wondering if this is all worth it. If Gojo Satoru is worth all of this trouble. You don’t want to hang onto him, letting him drag you along and fill your ears with false whispers and forgotten promises, but you can’t help yourself. You love him. Or, at least, you love the version of him in your head.
He doesn’t speak to you for the rest of the day, rushing out after class to head into town with Shoko and Akari. You ride the train alone back to your apartment, the wolves stalking you and hiding in bushes when you turn to face them. You reach your apartment and change into something comfortable. Maybe a long walk along the river will help clear your mind. Maybe Gojo will feel guilty and call you, begging on his knees for your forgiveness.
You walk along the river, admiring the reflection of the streetlights in the inky dark water. Your mind wanders, and you wonder what it would feel like to jump in, to feel your lungs fill with water as you sink into the abyss. You wonder what it would be like to choke on the salt, reaching for the surface, your hand outstretched, hoping Gojo’s own would reach in and pull you out.
As you sit on the bench along the water, lost in thought, someone sits next to you. Turning your head, your eyes widen in surprise as you recognise the person—Kento Nanami. It has been weeks since the festival, where you profusely apologized for Gojo's behavior after he dragged you to that isolated classroom. The memory of that day still makes your cheeks flush with embarrassment, and you can't help but feel nervous as you face Nanami again.
"Hey," you manage to say, your voice slightly higher than usual. "It's been a while."
Nanami nods, his expression unreadable. "Yes, it has." An awkward silence settles between you, and you fidget with your hands, unsure of what to say next. You want to make a good impression, but the weight of your past interaction with Gojo hangs heavily in the air.
Finally, you speak up, your voice calm and measured. "I wanted to apologise for what happened at the festival. I know Gojo's behavior was inexcusable, and I should have done more to stop him." Nanami’s face shows slight surprise but you continue anyway, "I understand if you don't want to forgive me. But I wanted to take responsibility for my actions and let you know that I regret what happened."
He shakes his head, waving your concerns away. "It's not your fault. Gojo is the one who should apologize."
You smile faintly. "Thank you for saying that." The tension between you begins to ease, and you find yourself relaxing in Nanami's presence. You can't help but admire his calm demeanor, and as you talk, you realise that there is more to Nanami than you initially thought. He is intelligent, thoughtful, and possesses a quiet strength that draws you in. The more you speak, the more you find yourself enjoying his company. Maybe a little bit too much.
He suddenly stands, stretching a little. “I’m hungry. Have you eaten dinner yet?”
You shake your head. Eating was the last thing on your mind. “No. I could eat, though.”
He sticks his hand out in your direction. “Sweet. I know this great takoyaki stand nearby. Wanna come?”
You nod, smiling. “Sure.” You reach out and grab his hand, and you feel warmth pool in your stomach as your hand fits perfectly in his. His hands are so big, rough, and warm and your mind starts swirling as you imagine what they would feel like on your body.
You walk hand in hand toward the takoyaki stand, the warmth spreading all over your body. Your cheeks flush as you find yourself thinking, is this a date? Gojo has never taken you out on a date, not even once. It would be, as he always said, suspicious. You’ve eaten takeout with him in your apartment while watching TV plenty of times, but that isn’t really a date. Yet here Nanami is, taking you on a date.
As you stand in front of the takoyaki stand, waiting for your order, you can't shake the feeling that something special is happening. The air is filled with anticipation, and your heart races with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. He doesn’t let you pay, another stark difference from Gojo. You barely eat, just admiring him as he talks through another corporate world story. You feel something in your gut, and you can’t help the fact that you’re falling for Nanami, and he seems interested in you too. At least you think he is.
You both finish your food and he walks you back in the direction of your apartment. He continues to talk about himself and his corporate job, and even though you find it incredibly boring, you listen anyway. He’s done so much for you just this night alone, it’s the least you could do to repay him. You make it to your apartment door, and in the heat of the moment you invite him in, and the smirk on his face as he accepts causes your thighs to squeeze together.
Sex with Nanami is different. He’s much more caring, more loving than Gojo. He doesn’t slap you, choke you, or hurt you. He’s gentle, gentle with his movements, and gentle with his kisses. You clean yourself up and return to the bed, already thinking about a movie you two could watch while you cuddle, to find Nanami gone. You text him, asking if he’s okay, and his response is plain. “Had to head out. I had fun.” You try not to overthink, you’ve done enough of that with Gojo. You set your phone aside and watch the movie alone, fantasising about your possible future with Nanami.
After two weeks, you finally say what you’ve always wanted to say to Gojo; “I want to break up.”
He laughs at you, leaning his elbows on your kitchen counter. “Funny joke, sweetheart.”
You stand your ground, your arms crossed. “I’m serious, Gojo.”
Gojo's laughter fades, and he looks at you with a more serious expression. "You can't be serious," His voice is laced with disbelief. "We're perfect for each other."
"I don't think so," you reply, your voice shaking slightly. "Things have been...difficult between us lately, and I don't see a way to fix them."
Gojo's face hardens, and he takes a step towards you. "You're making a mistake."
You start to shake. “No, I’m not.”
Gojo laughs again. “This is because of Nanami, isn’t it?”
You hesitate. “It doesn’t matter, Gojo. I want to break up.”
Gojo reaches out and grabs your shoulders. “Quit being a dumbass, sweetheart.”
Your eyebrows furrow. “Don’t call me a dumbass—”
“I can call you whatever I want,” Gojo says. “You’re mine. You’re not dumping me for Nanami. You’re not dumping me for anyone.”
You try to push him away. “I’m tired of waiting around for you, Gojo.”
Gojo pulls you to his chest, squeezing you tight. “Maybe if you weren’t such a bitch I would fall in love with you faster. Have you ever thought about that? No, you haven’t. You only think about yourself.”
Your words die in your throat, and you can feel the familiar presence of the wolves at your ankles. Nanami had come to your rescue, brandishing a torch to scare away the wolves that Gojo had left you surrounded by. You haven’t felt their presence in so long, you thought you had finally gotten away, but Gojo picked you right back up and threw you back in the den.
He shoves you against the wall. “Fine. Go with him. See if I fucking care. You’ll come crawling back to me after you realise he isn’t any different.” Gojo leaves in a huff, slamming the door of your apartment behind him. You did it. You got away. You escaped Gojo Satoru’s clutches.
Your heart sinks as you soon realise the harsh truth in Gojo's words. Nanami, the person you've been cautiously and gradually getting close to, is no different from the rest, you've been merely a casual fling, an object of desire providing temporary pleasure and companionship. That’s all you were to him, an object, and the bitter realisation leaves you feeling betrayed and dejected.
Weeks have passed since you first embarked on this uncertain journey with Nanami. You've shared meals, conversations, and even some tender moments late at night when the lights go out. During one of your late-night trips to the takoyaki stand, you ask him the age-old question What are we? With food still in his mouth, he looks at you, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion as if trying to understand your reaction. His blunt words hit you like a ton of bricks: "Oh, I wasn’t looking for anything serious with you."
The pain is palpable as your heart shatters into a million pieces. The chopsticks in your hand tremble with the force of your grip, threatening to snap in two. A mix of disbelief and anguish floods your being, leaving you struggling to process the situation. A simple "huh?" escapes your lips, a feeble attempt to seek clarification or perhaps a desperate plea for him to reconsider. But the damage has been done, and the truth is laid bare before you.
He swallows, setting his food down. He pauses, gathering his thoughts, he speaks slowly, trying to choose his words carefully. "Listen," he began, his voice tinged with a mix of regret and awkwardness, "I want to be honest with you. You're an amazing person, a great girl in every way. But I have to confess, my feelings for you aren't romantic. As much as I value your body, I can't see us in a dating relationship. You aren’t exactly dating material. I don't want to lead you on or anything, but I just don’t want to date you."
You swallow hard, looking down at your lap. Maybe this was your destiny. Maybe you were supposed to be stuck in situationships, always being the one wanting more, always being someone’s but never being theirs. You mutter an apology to Nanami before standing up and quickly walking away, back towards your apartment. You expect, you hope, that Nanami will chase after you, but he doesn’t. He just goes back to eating, as if you were never even there.
You make it into your apartment, collapsing to the floor and sobbing. Was this your fate? Was this a punishment for your hubris, a long-term karma? Gojo had devoured you. Gojo had butchered your world, leaving only scraps of you. Scraps no one wanted, scraps not worthy of use.
You’re back in the den again, surrounded by the corpses of those who loved before you. You were just another person in Gojo’s book, another person in the walls that surrounded the den.
You hear them.
You feel them.
The wolves. They’re coming for you.
Run.
You try to run, but you can’t. You keep tripping, and tripping, and tripping, unable to escape, unable to climb over the bodies of those who loved him first.
You see the light on the other side, the exit to the den, and you get so close, and you’re almost out —
You trip again. Your body hits the cold, hard cave floor with a thud, the impact knocking the wind out of you. Your heart pounds against your chest, adrenaline coursing through your veins, as you scramble to your feet. But it's no use. The wolves have caught up to you, their relentless pursuit echoing off the stone walls. Time has run out.
You turn instinctively, desperation fueling your movements, trying to crawl away on trembling limbs. But your feeble attempt is met with a chilling realisation – they are already there. Towering over you, their hulking forms block out the dim light, casting eerie shadows. Their menacing growls reverberate in the air, sending shivers down your spine. Their muscular bodies tense and coiled, poised to pounce.
Their muzzles are contorted, revealing rows of sharp, glistening fangs, dripping with saliva. A feral hunger burns in their bloodshot eyes, as red as fresh blood. You can almost taste the metallic tang in the air, a grim reminder of the fate that awaits you. Paralysed by fear, you brace yourself for the inevitable, as the wolves close in, their ravenous jaws inching closer. The darkness of the cave closes in, consuming you whole.
You succumb to the wolves and their sharp teeth as they tear you apart. The way they bite and gnaw at you is almost comforting. Beside you is a puddle, and you watch your reflection as they butcher you. They tear out your heart, the one that once belonged to the strongest, and the one you thought would belong to a businessman. Your last thoughts are of Gojo, and you spend your last waking moments wondering if he’ll walk all over you, even in death.

Distractions… - Nanami Kento

I cannot stop staring. I cannot stop thinking about how I want to achieve this fantasy with you. But is it really worth the possibility of pain down the road?
A/N: Can you tell I like Nanami?
Content includes: Nanami pining for reader, Nanami feels a strange longing for a life he never really thought about, it’s fluffy I don’t apologise I like fLUFF
Song for your mood?
Nanami had returned to the world of fighting Jujutsu tech recently. Getting to know the students who know came to the school and…
Meeting you all over again.
You had gone to Kyoto Prefecture back then, so seeing you hadn’t been too common. And you were slightly older so the meetings had been sparse but well received.
You’d been a much better upperclassman in comparison to the likes of Gojo after all. Smart, mature, friendly. It wasn’t hard for people from his own school to notice the crush he had for you, the slightly sadder look to his expression when you’d return with your school.
When he left, he’d wondered how you would have felt about it.
When he returned, he knew how you felt about it.
You knew Nanami, you knew being overly touchy wasn’t his sort of thing. So when you saw him again after all this time, you greeted him with that same smile.
“Nanami!” You had greeted him that day. “I’d heard rumours but I was worried I’d never see you again. Have you been readjusting to being back?”
It was basic niceties but fuck it made his chest tighten. He glanced away, mumbled his own greeting and quickly departed. Not that you ever questioned his stand offish personality. You’d only ever see him be the same, you could tell he did care in his own strange way.
Gojo watched the whole thing, with clenched teeth. He just wishes he could shove the man, make him actively say something.
Weeks pass, and you see each other far more frequently. The taller man being… completely lost on how to deal with it. He’d grown infatuated in occasional school visits but now… now that you were both grown up, and had all these assignments. It’s a little suffocating, but he feels almost addicted to the way his heart squeezes and beats harder every time you get time to talk, every time he gets to see you fight.
And he refuses to talk about it.
Much to Gojo’s dismay.
He can’t figure out why he’d want to actually act on his feelings. To maybe establish that connection with you. He’d rejoined to protect the people who can’t protect themselves, knowing full well an ordinary life would be hard to achieve. Nanami feels that strange longing in his whole being to take you to that life. Knowing that establishing a connection could just put both of you more in a dangerous spotlight.
He can’t help but imaging it, that vacation he’s always wanted. You by his side, a family maybe. As long as you’re by his side, it would probably feel like heaven on earth. Closing his eyes makes him imagine the idea of you up against his chest as you slept in.
Domestic daydreams that he knows wouldn’t be achieved anytime soon. Maybe not in this lifetime.
Maybe he should take that risk? Just for a taste of the life he’d wanted?
You could both protect each other.
Nanami knows. He knows if he wants a chance in hell of feeling normal again he has to talk to you.
But seeing you, bathed in sunset as you both enjoy the quiet before a mission?
He wants to feel that tightness at least one more time.
One more time before he reaches out to pull your hair out of your face.
“Hm?”
“It was getting in your eyes.”

gojo only ever being needed and not wanted broke my hearttt noooo. i just love gojo x mundanity so so much. all he wants in life is a quiet peaceful life with someone who just sees him without his six eyes. there will always be something so bittersweet about that mostly cuz he'll never allow himself to have that life completely:/
i've seen that one post going around that's like "“if i cannot be wanted, i will be needed and if i cannot be needed, let me be used until there’s nothing left of me” and although i don't think gojo is actually that self-sacrificing, i do see a bit of him in there.
like, we know for sure he treasures "youth" and in particular his own "youth" very deeply. we see the s2 opening with him in high school with geto and the other students, doing just regular things, looking genuinely happy and having tons of fun.
gojo used to smile and laugh with people. people who were his peers. and maybe that was mostly possible because they were peers then, instead of him being the pinnacle of sorcerer society. when kenjaku shows up he gets a minute-long internal flashback of all those old times. it meant a lot to him.
on the other hand, though, gojo is absolutely a bit of a bully deep down. he was still a jerk sometimes in high school (though he DID have a good heart - hence the thing with riko) and he clearly has fun when he's fighting curses lol. he takes a lot of joy in his power, and why wouldn't he? it's kinda all he's got going for him. self-fulfilling prophecy and all.
ngl a bunch of the lines in that piece came from this yandere!gojo wip that's still in the drafts. basically gojo wants a non-sorcerer to play house with and he's ecstatic about this whole "relationship building" thing. he has no hobbies bc everything is easy for him, but his personality - and the circumstances - make winning your love an actual challenge that he can have fun with.
but internally his logic is actually kinda sad and understandable. gojo is worried he'll go insane like geto did. lose all sympathy for regular people, and for other sorcerers, too - maybe his own students.
and if gojo loses it, who's going to stop him?
if gojo loses it, and gives up on humanity like geto did, then what was the point of killing geto in the first place?
that can't happen if he has a non-sorcerer lover. and honestly? i do think gojo genuinely does like people, in the general sense. he likes getting specialty sweets and playing baseball. he takes his students out for meals. the memories we see of his youth? him in the arcade, walking home from school, eating out with his friends.
i think he likes ordinary, mundane things a lot, even if he loves the other parts of his life. he probably loves bugging baristas and fast food employees and passerbys in his life. he is lonely at the top, but with regular people, he can pretend he isn't.
it's tragic, but in a way, it's also an issue of his own making. i don't buy gojo's whole "you can admire a blooming flower, but you can't ask it to understand you" crap. gojo, loneliness and isolation are a part of the human condition. you are NOT the first or only person who feels this way. i'm optimistic that he could get through it if he tried... if gege didn't have it out for him LMAO

[part six] to build a home - gojo satoru

word count: 5k warnings: !!manga spoilers!! swearing, jjk-verse style fighting series summary: when (y/n) (y/l/n) catches wind that the notorious sorcerer killer, toji fushiguro, has children, she makes it her personal mission to find them. the catch being she couldn't tell a soul about them- the risk of the zen'in clan learning about them was too great. keeping the secret isn't the hard part, it's lying to her friends, shoko ieiri, geto suguru, and of course gojo satoru, that she struggles with. especially when satoru has suddenly become so keen on keeping an eye on her lately.
series masterlist
[part six] : "I Held On As Tightly As You Held Onto Me" ___
The day after her little excursion with Satoru, (y/n) wakes up bright and early to get off campus before anyone else awoke. The alarm that blares in her ear is harsh and unforgiving at nearly six in the morning, but she doesn’t waste a second getting herself ready and rushing out to the front gates to get to town as soon as she could.
To her surprise, she wasn’t the only one awake this early in the morning.
“Nanami,” (y/n) stops in her tracks as she sees the lone sorcerer jogging through the gates. He seems just as surprised to see her. “What’re you doing up this early on a day off?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” He stops just a few feet before her, his head tilted to the side. “You’ve spent quite a bit of time in Tokyo, huh?”
“You don’t know that’s where I'm off to” She replies, and it’s meant to be playful, teasing, but Nanami’s bullshit detector might rival Suguru’s.
He eyes her up and down.
“Looks to me like you are,” He says bluntly. “If you’re not, then where are you off to?”
(y/n) remains silent, unable to come up with even a half-decent lie.
“That’s what I thought,” He chuckled. “Don’t worry. I’m not one to spill other people’s business to those they’re hiding it from”
Taken aback, (y/n) scoffs, shaking her head awkwardly.
“I’m not- I’m not hiding anything from anyone”
“You’re a shitty liar,” Nanami replies, and it sounds harsh, but he’s just blunt with his words. “Lucky for you, I’m tired of Gojo sticking his nose in things that don’t involve me, let alone him. So I won’t tell him I saw you,”
She’s trying to keep up a clueless act, but the relief she feels at his words is obvious.
“But a little advice?” Nanami asks, and she nods her head in a small motion, eyes flickering over him. “He’s going to catch on sooner or later,” He tells her. “So whatever you’re doing, whoever you’re seeing…” He trails off, seemingly to find the right words. “You better get your shit figured out. I’ll keep this to myself, but I don’t need Six Eyes in my business the way he got into Yu’s just to protect you”
She nods again, slowly processing what he said.
“Thank you, Nanami,” Her voice is barely above a whisper when she finds it. “I wouldn’t ask any more of you. Thank you”
The blonde sorcerer is still and silent for a moment, lost in his thoughts. He doesn’t consider this an act of kindness, more so an act of self preservation. He knew better than to get involved in something that would inevitably have upset Gojo Satoru. Nanami may have subtly despised the older sorcerer, but he was smarter than to go out of his way to upset him.
After a long pause, he nods back at her, and turns to continue his jog. (y/n) reaches out before he can leave.
“Wait, Nanami,” She calls. “One more thing?”
Begrudgingly, he stops in his tracks, giving her his attention once more.
“You said Satoru was bothering Yu?”
“Bothering is an understatement,” Nanami scoffs. “Safe to say Yu’s terrified of him now. If he wasn’t already. But…”
(y/n) waits impatiently for him to continue, hanging on to every word he spoke. What business Satoru had scaring Yu, she wasn’t entirely sure. But she wondered if it had anything to do with the last time he’d brought up the younger sorcerer’s crush.
“... I suppose Yu knew he was signing up for such treatment when he decided to pursue someone that already had a claim on them”
(y/n) blinked, her mouth dropping open slightly, but no words came out. No words even came to mind. Nanami chuckled, smiling for maybe the first time she’s ever seen, before he gave her a small wave and jogged off. She was frozen in place for a minute, and even when she finally brought herself to go on her way, she wasn’t quite sure what to make of their whole interaction.
She decides to pack it away in her mind for now, and keep her focus on the rest of her day. She owed Megumi and Tsumiki big time for yesterday, and she planned to start the day off the right way- with apology donuts.
Last night (y/n) had called Tsumiki like she’d promised she would, and the little girl didn’t seem too bothered that she hadn’t made an appearance that day, but she’d said that Megumi wasn’t in the mood to talk. Leaving (y/n) to believe the young boy held a little more of a grudge.
Not that she could blame him. She’d dropped the ball by not holding to her promise. She hoped that some day, when they were older, they would understand why she had to keep them a secret. It was for their own good and she knew that now, but they weren’t quite old enough for her to explain.
She just hoped that they could forgive her, this time. And she hoped that she’d never have to go back on their word again. ___
Satoru strolled into the courtyard, finding his friends relaxed at a picnic table, their lunches and a pack of cigarettes between them. They were laughing at something he hadn’t heard before approaching, clearly sharing their food and a cig. There was just one thing missing.
“Hey,” The white haired sorcerer greeted, throwing one leg over the wooden bench, facing Suguru as he sat. “Where’s-”
“Before you ask, we don’t know,” Shoko cut him off, passing the cigarette back to the man across from her, and picking up a pair of chopsticks in exchange. “Went to ask her if she wanted to have lunch with us, but she wasn’t in her room. Again”
“Again?” Satoru asked, brows furrowing.
“(y/n’s) absent almost more than you are these days, Satoru” Suguru commented.
“With what? Tutoring?”
“Who knows,” Shoko hums. “But she’s not on campus”
Satoru gives her a hard stare from behind his dark shades. The girl throws her hands up defensively, before reaching in front of Suguru’s plate to snatch up a rice ball.
“She’s been off having her own little adventures for the last few weeks,” Suguru says. “We don’t know where she goes. She likes her privacy”
“So you don’t even know where she is-?”
“Satoru,” Shoko mumbles through a mouthful of rice ball. “You worry too much about her. If she was in trouble, she would tell us”
Suguru points a finger at her, silently agreeing with what she said.
“You’re both the worst” Satoru mutters, earning a laugh from his friends.
“You’re worried she’s with a guy?” Shoko muses, her eyes wandering over Suguru’s plate, trying to decide on what to steal next.
Suguru lets out a whistle, an amused smile on his face.
“Did she say something about a guy?” He asks before Satoru can.
“Maybe,” Shoko replies, eyeing a juicy looking piece of beef, and plucking it up before Suguru’s chopsticks can beat her to it. “Maybe not”
Satoru’s jaw is locked in place, and he feels his eye start to twitch like it had the day he approached Haibara. Meanwhile, Suguru is laughing, like he’s excited to hear such news.
“(y/n) with a non-sorcerer?” He thinks aloud. He’s laughing so much his shoulders are shaking. Satoru thinks about smacking him upside the head. “How fascinating”
“She’s not seeing a guy,” The white haired sorcerer snaps. “She would have said something”
Shoko scoffs.
“Not likely”
“What makes you say that?”
“Because she’s always been private about her romantic interests?” Her voice tilts as though asking a question, as though it was an obvious answer. “I swear I’ve had to pry it out of her”
“Oh do tell” Suguru purrs, leaning over the table curiously.
“Or don’t,” Satoru grumbles. “I’d like to keep my lunch inside of me, thank you”
“Don’t be such a jealous bore,” Suguru waves a dismissive hand towards his friend, before turning back to Shoko. “So, who has she been with? Because I would just love to hear about a few of those little underclassmen in the sack”
Shoko giggles, reaching over to snatch the cigarette that had been ignored in his fingers for far too long.
“I wouldn’t be a good friend if I told,” She winked. “You’ll just have to sleep with them to see for yourself”
“You’re both insufferable, you know that?”
“Speak for yourself” Suguru replies.
“I’m a little curious about Ijichi, though. What do you think?” Shoko ponders, to no one in particular.
Suguru hums thoughtfully.
“So you have no idea where (y/n) is, or what she’s been up to, but she’s been sneaking off for the last week?”
“We never said she was sneaking off” Suguru shrugs a shoulder.
“Oh, I would,” Shoko speaks up, blowing out a plume of smoke. “Saw her sneaking back in on Friday”
Suguru raises an intrigued brow.
“Late?” He presumes.
She nods, a small smirk on her lips.
“Almost midnight”
Suguru whistles again.
Satoru was getting tired of their gossip that led nowhere. They could both tell that he was annoyed, they just didn’t care enough to drop the topic. It was fun after all, getting him riled up. It was also fun to chat about what they thought she was up to.
“Definitely a booty call, then,” Suguru decides, snatching a piece of beef off his plate before Shoko could. “Why else would she be slinking around so late?” He ponders.
Satoru can’t wrap his head around (y/n) sneaking out to hook up with some nobody in Tokyo. How would she have even met this person? And she didn’t seem the type to have some meaningless fling. But perhaps that was all the more reason for her to have one? The secrecy of it all gnawed at him, made him queasy. He ran a hand through his hair stressfully.
“Come to think of it, a few weeks ago I also saw her get in pretty late. Not that late, but it was probably around ten o’clock” Suguru pursed his lips as he thought about it, knowing full well that she had in fact been sneaking around.
But he didn’t have to share that information just yet. Making Satoru squirm was far too entertaining.
Satoru suddenly stood from his seat. Both of his friends watched him curiously, wondering if he was going to blow up or just storm off.
He turns to walk off, but before he can get too far, Shoko speaks up.
“I wouldn’t go after her”
Satoru turns around, crossing his arms over his chest.
“And why shouldn’t I?”
“Tch, isn’t it obvious?” Suguru scoffs. “If you go after her now, and catch her in- well whatever or whoever she’s up to, she’ll be pissed”
Satoru grinds his teeth, not wanting to admit out loud that his friends were right. Even though they all knew it.
“You don’t want to piss her off,” Shoko chuckles, stumping the embers off the butt of her cigarette on the wood table. “(y/n’s) fiery when she’s angry,” She lets out a short chuckle as though she were recalling her own experience with upsetting the girl. “But, maybe you’d like that” She adds with a little smirk.
Suguru snickers across from her.
Satoru’s jaw finally relaxes. And then in a blink, he was no longer standing before them. They don’t know where he teleported off to, but their focus shifts right back to the lunch before them.
“You really think (y/n’s) got a hookup in town?” Suguru asks.
Shoko shrugs.
“Don’t have another explanation for it. You?”
“Yeah. Me neither,” He agrees. “You think Satoru’s gonna go track the poor fucker down?”
“Yep”
“Yeah. Me too” ___
In fact, Gojo Satoru hadn’t teleported himself into Tokyo. His friends had gotten too in his head for him to go searching for (y/n). No matter how much his curiosity was eating him alive wondering what she could be up to, he was more afraid of losing her in the long run if he stuck his nose in her business. He’d have to figure out some other way to get her to fess up.
He’d just gotten too annoyed with his friends, so he’d teleported himself into the school, and as soon as his feet touched ground, his fist was launching into the wall. The wood splintered and cracked, but luckily he hadn’t fully punched through it. Yaga would probably be upset.
Shaking out his now sore and bruised hand, he looked over, realizing he hadn’t chosen an empty hallway to punch out his frustrations.
Nanami Kento stood there, just a few feet away. His face expressionless, but still staring at the sight before him inquisitively.
“Something bothering you?” He asked, his voice monotone. Satoru sneered back at the sarcastic remark.
“Mind your business”
“You’re the one that showed up in front of me and started punching” Nanami scoffed.
Alright. That was true.
“Whatever” He muttered.
“Why would you punch something without your infinity up?” Nanami asks, his head nodding to the bloodied knuckles of Satoru’s hand. “Doesn’t that hurt?”
Satoru wants to repeat himself, tell him to mind his business, flip him the middle finger and storm off, but for some reason, he chuckles.
“Yeah, it does,” He answered. “Guess I was too angry”
The blonde sorcerer hummed, tucking his hands into his pockets.
“You’re going to leave Yu alone, right?” He changes the topic, taking a few steps forward.
Satoru looks him up and down, raising a brow curiously.
“What, you got a reason why I should?” He asks.
Honestly, Satoru had no intention of going after the younger sorcerer anymore than he already had. Even if by some landslide (y/n) decided he was her dream man, he would leave him alone. But Nanami’s question sparked an interest in him.
“Besides the fact that he hasn’t done anything wrong?” Nanami quips back, his voice never wavering above it’s steady tone.
Satoru chuckles, and shakes his head.
“Don’t worry, I’m not gonna kill your friend just cause he sticks his business where it doesn’t belong”
“Hypocrite” Nanami bites back.
“Me?” Satoru laughs again, but this time it’s humorless. Irritated. “I’m the hypocrite?”
“You’re the one that barged in on us, demanding him to tell you about his encounter with her. You’re the one that was acting like a dog marking it’s territory”
Satoru’s interest in this conversation was quickly turning to rage. He should have just told Nanami that he had no qualms with Haibara Yu, but now it was too late, and he was getting pissed off.
He takes a long stride forward, his eyes hardening.
“Are you calling her my territory?” He asks, voice losing it’s playful tone as it lowers.
Nanami knew that if they were to get into a fight right now, he was bound to lose in a mere second. But he was protective of his friend, and this conflict was pointless.
That said, Gojo Satoru was starting to get on his nerves, walking around like he could act however he wanted, treat people however he wanted, Haibara and (y/n) alike. Yu hadn’t crossed any lines, and despite how the Six Eyes user may feel, (y/n) wasn’t spoken for.
“I’m saying (y/n) isn’t spoken for,” Nanami voices his thoughts, even though deep down, the instinct in his blood told him to back off before this got ugly. “She doesn’t belong to anyone,”
Satoru is all but oozing his jealousy. He’s glaring at him, his chest puffed, his hands in fists at his sides. Nanami would have laughed had he not been completely serious.
“And if she were here, she’d probably tell you so” He finished.
They stand in silence for a minute.
One of them glaring, huffing in annoyance.
The other is calm, collected, unwavering in his stance.
The silence is long, and deafening. Until Nanami finally walks away, without a word, without a second glance back, he leaves Satoru alone in the hall. His work feels completed. Haibara Yu shouldn’t have any issue with the older, more experienced sorcerer again. He’s not sure if he’s solved any conflict for (y/n) (y/l/n) or made it worse, but he feels little to no care if he’s disturbed her relationship with Gojo Satoru.
However, as he leaves, there’s a slight nag in the back of his mind. A worry that he’d done her a disservice by speaking on her behalf. He tries to brush it off.
Suddenly he’s reminded of the way she’d thanked him that morning, for keeping a small secret for her. If he could even call it a secret, it’s not as though he’d known what she was up to at the crack of dawn, and he’s not even sure why he cared to keep that to himself now, even when he could have used it to get under Gojo’s skin. Something told him not to bring it up, for her sake.
Nanami Kento didn’t know (y/n) well, she was a year above him after all, so the only time he’d spent any time with her at all was during the Exchange Event with the Kyoto school. Even then, all he could gather on her was that she was a very skilled, very thoughtful fighter. It wasn’t like there was any spare time to get to know her better. So he doesn’t know why he’d chosen to keep her secret.
Perhaps Yu had spoken too fondly of her as of late, and it had gotten to his head. ___
(y/n) had spent all day chatting with Tsumiki, about anything and everything she’d wanted to talk about. They talked about school, what manga she was reading, what friends she had hung out with as of late, the conversation seemed to flow with ease. (y/n) was grateful that the young girl had forgiven her, seemingly easily, and she made sure to assure her that she would never go back on her word again.
They’re sitting on the couch in the living room together when (y/n) tells her this.
“I know, (y/n). It’s okay” Tsumiki had said.
“I know you say that,” (y/n) had spoken seriously, the light mood in the living room suddenly warping. “But I want you to know that I mean it. When I make a promise about something, I won’t ever go back on it. Not with you. Not again”
Tsumiki nods, giving her a small smile. She seems to understand how important it was for (y/n), so she decides to treat it with importance too.
“I think Megumi was a little upset,” She admits, quietly.
(y/n) nods in agreement. She’d already gotten that feeling, since he hadn’t left his room, even when she’d brought him a donut for breakfast. It had been hours since she’d arrived at the Fushiguro house, and he was still holed up in there.
“He didn’t say anything,” Tsumiki continues. “But he gets quiet when he’s upset. Even though he’s always quiet”
(y/n) chuckles softly.
“I don’t blame him for being upset with me,” She replies. “If he doesn’t want to talk to me, that’s alright. It won’t bother me”
It’s quiet. Tsumiki plays with the hem of her dress while (y/n) pensively glances out the window. She means what she said, but she hopes that Megumi would crawl out of his shell soon, so that she could properly apologize to him.
“(y/n)?”
The sorcerer hums, looking back over to the child.
“It’s been really nice… having you around,” Tsumiki says, so soft that she’s almost whispering. She’s still staring down at the skirt of her dress, held tightly in her small hands. “I’m really glad you found us”
Her heart swells with so much love that (y/n) can’t help but grin. She reaches out, tucking a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear, before smoothing her hand over the back of her head.
“I’m glad I found you too, Tsumiki,” She tells her. “I hope you know you can always ask me for anything. Whatever it is, I’ll do anything I can to do it for you. Okay?”
Tsumiki nods, her cheeks blossoming with pink as she smiles back at her.
“I should probably go bug your brother,” (y/n) sighs, dropping her hand and leaning back in her seat. “He’s not going to be happy with me, is he?”
Tsumiki giggles, shaking her head.
“If you hear me screaming for help, come save me?”
Still giggling, the nine year old nods this time, and (y/n) smiles playfully back at her, before standing from the sofa.
Making her way down the hall and to the front of Megumi’s closed door, she takes in a deep breath, knowing he will be harder to crack than his sister. Megumi had always been more reserved, even when he opened up to her it was always by handing out scraps. She wanted to make this right. He deserved that much.
She knocks gently on the wood.
“Megumi?” She calls, before knocking again. “Can I come in”
It’s quiet for a beat. Before she hears a small, “Fine”
Still, as she opens the door, she’s slow, and she doesn’t step inside right away.
Megumi is sitting on the floor with his back against his bed. He’s reading Charlotte’s Web again, the book propped open in his lap. (y/n) wonders how many times he’s read it now, and her heart weakens a little at the realization why he held such an attachment to it.
But she can’t cry for him, not right now. Right now he needed to see that she was strong, and she was here because she wanted to be strong for him, for both of them.
“What have you been up to today?” She asks, leaning against the doorframe.
The boy doesn’t answer aloud. He simply holds his book up, before placing it back in his lap.
“Reading?”
He blinks at her.
“That’s good. I was too much of a brat as a kid to enjoy reading. But it’s a good hobby. For smart kids”
“You’re saying you weren’t a smart kid?” He asks. (y/n) chuckles, shaking her head.
“Absolutely not,” She admits. “I was a troublemaker. I get the feeling you wouldn’t have liked me if you’d known me back then,” She tells him.
Young Megumi’s eyes are wide. He’s shocked to hear someone say such a thing. He’d never thought an adult would admit something so silly. Usually adults always acted like they were perfect, and they knew best.
He supposed he already knew (y/n) was different. She wasn’t like other adults, probably because she wasn’t quite yet a real adult herself.
“Not that I assume you like me now,” She continues, only half teasing. “But I think you would, if you got to know me better,”
Megumi drops his head, staring down at the pages of his book. He picks at the edge of it’s worn spine.
(y/n) tilts her head to the side, watching him thoughtfully for a moment, giving him a minute to take in everything she’d said before she continued.
Megumi and his sister were vastly different, for as close as they were. Tsumiki was bubbly, chatty, happy to get to know anyone and happy to let anyone get to know her. Megumi was quite the opposite. He wasn’t shy, but he was more reserved than any other eight year old (y/n) had met. He didn’t want to open up, seemingly ever, and he also didn’t show much interest in other people opening up either.
“Megumi, if I ask you something, do you think you could be honest with me?” Her question is carefully worded, hoping that he could see she was trying to present an olive branch.
He looks up at her, thinking for a moment, before nodding his head.
“Are you upset with me for not coming by yesterday?” She asks, tilting her towards her shoulder.
“You don’t owe us anything,” Megumi answers, dropping his eyes to his book again. “You don’t have to come here. You don’t know us” He pauses, his fingers tugging roughly at the spine of his book now.
(y/n) steps inside then, crossing the room to kneel down in front of him. Her hands gently wrapped around his, stopping him from damaging his book further.
Megumi freezes, but he doesn’t push her away, and doesn’t snap out of irritated protest. (y/n) realizes she’s never touched him before, and she wasn’t sure when the last time someone could have touched him gently, affectionately. His father surely wasn’t the type, and she didn’t know how long his mother had been out of the picture.
She wraps her hands around his small one more securely, pulling it away from the book. He’s staring at her hands as though it was his first time seeing them. When she looks at him, she can see his eyes have a gloss to them.
“That isn’t what I asked,” She reminds him. “It’s okay if you’re upset with me, you know. You’re allowed to be”
He looks at her now, his little eyebrows pinched together as he tries to figure out what he’s supposed to say.
And then he remembers that she asked him to be honest, and he supposes he has no reason not to be.
“I shouldn’t be upset,” He huffs. “You’re not our family. And I should have never expected you to stick around anyways. No one sticks around”
(y/n) shuffles to sit beside him, with her back pressed to his bed. She lets go of his hand to take his book away, marking the page before setting it down on the floor in front of them.
“You’re right,” She hums, thoughtfully. “I’m not your family, and I don’t need you to treat me as such,” She adds. “But Megumi, I want you to know, that I will always come back,”
He blinks at her, his eyes filling with more tears.
“I’m not going anywhere. I’m sticking around whether you want me to or not. And I need you to believe me when I tell you that,”
(y/n) feels herself get choked up as well, but she clears her throat and wills her eyes to dry. This wasn’t about her.
“If only you knew how long I looked for you,” She confesses, placing a hand on his unruly head of hair, ruffling it playfully. “Once I knew you guys were out there somewhere, on your own, I didn’t stop. I never rested. And to be honest, I still don’t. I probably never will,”
Megumi sniffled, and wiped his eyes on his arm. (y/n) dropped her hand from his hair, smiling softly at him.
“You’re important to me,” She tells him. “Even when you’re being a little shit,” She adds in a teasing voice.
Megumi’s eyes widened at the curse word, in disbelief she would say such a thing to a kid, even if it was true. She chuckles at his reaction.
“I’m so sorry that I didn’t come yesterday,” She hums. “I should have been here. I told you I would be, and I should have. It’s not okay that I lied to you. And I will never lie to you again, alright?”
He nods his head in a small action. A tear slips down his cheek.
“I’m really proud of you for getting all of your schoolwork done,” She says. “I’m really proud of you for being so grown up, and taking care of yourselves all this time,” She adds. “You’re a brave kid, Megumi. Probably the toughest I’ve ever met,”
More tears pool out of his eyes, dripping off his eyelashes and splashing down his cheeks, staining his shirt. He’s sniffling as he cries, and he’s given up on trying to wipe away all of his tears. They’re falling too fast for him to catch them all.
“And I promise I’ll always be here for you,” (y/n) reaches a hand out, cupping his small face and wiping away his tears with the pad of her thumb. “Always. Okay? For anything you need. You understand?”
“Okay” Megumi’s voice cracks.
His eyes shut tight, and before (y/n) can reach her other hand out to dry his other cheek, he launches forward. His arms reach around her back, grabbing the back of her shirt as he hugs her tightly, crying into her sweater.
(y/n) looks down at him for a second, taken aback by the sudden action. But she snaps herself out of her surprise, wrapping her arms around his small frame, and hugging him closely. She held on as tightly as he held onto her.
He’s shaking slightly. She rubs his back in smooth, slow circles, resting her chin on the top of his head as she soothes him quietly.
It’s several minutes before he stops crying, but even still, he remains in her hold for a little longer. (y/n) doesn’t mind. She’d sit here with him for the rest of her day if she had to. She’d do anything to put him at ease.
She’d do anything to build a home for these kids. It dawns on her now, something Megumi had said about her not being family. Perhaps they weren’t by blood, but still her heart grew and ached for these kids. They were like family to her.
They spend the rest of the day together relaxing, watching funny movies and eating snacks. (y/n) makes them a big dinner, with plenty of leftovers for them to heat up throughout the next few days if she can't stop by. She makes them promise they’ll eat the vegetables even if she’s not around.
That night when she puts them to bed, Megumi crawls into Tsumiki’s bed, happily listening to (y/n) read the next chapter of Charlotte’s Web, even if he’d already read it countless times. He falls asleep in Tsumiki’s bed.
(y/n) brushes their hair from their foreheads so it wouldn’t tickle them in their sleep. She leaves the room silently. When she gets outside, she says the incantation to lower the protective curtain.
Her walk home feels more quiet than usual. Her thoughts aren’t buzzing with paranoia of getting back so late, or worry that she was overstepping in the Fushiguro’s lives.
She felt content. Calm. All she could hope was that her kids had a good night’s sleep, and that the next time she saw them they had nothing but good things to share with her. ___

another note: rushing to write this before my psych class 😵💫
“no, no, absolutely not,” geto calls your name. “the last time you went to a party, you came back here drunk as hell. and guess what? i had to take care of you…not that that’s the issue. the issue is, there’s a bunch of people there that don’t care about your safety.”
you just groan loudly. geto was always like this. always analyzing the little things and the possible consequences and final outcome of the decision.
“geto, please?” you tried to plead with him. “it’ll be the last time i ask this month. i won’t ask for anything else.”
geto’s small pupils looked at you and hummed, “and who’s going? who’s gonna be there that compels you to ask me to go?”
“oh, gojo and shoko were going and i kinda already said yes…”
you notice your boyfriend’s face contort from a slightly worried expression to an shocked and irritated one. his eyebrows knitted together before he’d loudly sigh.
“you already said- i can’t believe im about to ask this…is there weed?” he queries. your excitement shot through the roof. your begging clearly got through to the ink haired male.
it was a party. a college party at that. what was an event like that without drinking and a bunch of people smoking. and probably a little fighting.
after you get confirmation from geto that you could go to the party and that he’d be attending alongside you, you quickly make your way to your room and put on something nice to wear, while geto stays in something as simple as a t-shirt and some jeans.
the wind blows gently as you two stand outside of the gate where the party was being held beyond it. you could see the flashing lights, loud music, and most importantly, the large crowds of students.
“we’re students,” you hear geto say to the security guard standing beside the gate. you both would show your ids before being let in with no trouble.
your eyes were wide with excitement as you got closer and closer to the party you’ve been dying to get to. you could feel the anticipation rising up in your chest, making you shiver a bit. geto, on the other hand, didn’t seem too thrilled. he just wanted to make sure you were safe. though, he could admit that having time outside of the house was good for him.
from a distance, you see two people heading in your direction. a male with snow white hair was trotting over to you, while a girl with short brown hair followed, simply walking.
gojo throws his arm around geto, “suguru!” he beamed at the male, “i didn’t expect you to be joining us. did she convince you?”
your boyfriend glances at you before reluctantly replying, “yes, she did. she also begged me to come…and i almost said no.”
“well i think-” shoko calls your name, “did a good job of getting you out of that apartment of yours. you don’t need to always be cramped up in that place like a hermit crab anyway.” you see gojo nodding quickly in agreement.
geto just rolls his eyes, “i’m still sober so i have time to turn around and leave if i want to.” he says. gojo waves his hand.
“oh, you don’t mean that.” he smiles, moving his circular framed glasses down to the bridge of his nose, revealing his sharp blue eyes. “let’s dance until we can’t anymore.”
with that, you see gojo dragging geto off towards the crowd of students. you and shoko exchange looks before giggling to each other and following the boys.
the party is so live you could barely stand it. each time someone tried to speak to you, you were screaming “what?” a few times because of how loud the music was.
you stuck beside each of your friends while you all enjoyed yourselves. sitting comfortably together while passing a blunt around and gojo taking shots of hennessy and laughing drunkenly as everyone else was dancing to the music.
“he’s always the first to clock out mentally,” shoko commented before taking a sip of her drink also. gojo whips his head around to her direction, his hair flying up a bit.
“i didn’t clock out.” gojo slurred, wiping the remaining liquid from his lips. “i don’t even have a job to do that.”
“he’s brain dead.” geto took a drag of his blunt.
“stop saying that. it’s mean,” gojo whined.
after a moment, taking sips and drags from the items in your hand, you whisper to geto, informing him that you were gonna go to the bathroom.
“do i need to go with you? you know, just in case?”
you almost said no because you knew how overprotective geto could be over you. he just never wanted to see you get hurt and he was definitely scared of something bad happening to you.
you finally say yes and make your way to the bathroom. when you enter, you immediately pinch your nose at the potent smell.
“it smells like shit in here.” you complain, finding a stall to go into, hoping they aren’t clogged with waste or a bunch of tissues.
you take care of your business and clean your hands. on the way out, a girl, obviously drunk bumped into you, mumbling a “watch out” as she stumbled into the stall. you were about to say something but you saw geto shaking his head.
“not worth it,” he said, grabbing your hand and leading you back to your friends. your furrowed eyebrows unknit themselves and a sigh escapes you.
when you get back to your friends, you could see gojo trying to grab another drink and shoko holding him tightly by the waist so he didn’t grab another cup.
“sit your ass down, damn it. you don’t need anything else.” the girl fussed. “don’t you think you’ve had enough for tonight?”
“six cups isn’t enough.” gojo screamed.
“you’re acting like an alcoholic. sit down.”
“you aren’t allowed to go to another party after this.” you laughed as you sat down in your chair. gojo paused and looked over in your direction.
“why notttt?” the male frowned.
“she’s right. you’re acting stupider than usual,” geto chimed in. “we should go home soon…we don’t need to stay here too long.”
“boringgggg,” gojo said loudly. “i don’t wanna go home.”
“you’re a pain in my ass. i should’ve stayed home.” suguru crossed her arms and slouched down into the chair before reaching to spark another blunt.
“you always say that,” gojo giggled. “hey, we should get food when we leave. the food here sucks and i hate the off brand soda. it’s so gross.”
“damn, do you ever stop complaining?” shoko hissed.

Hello darling, I did my best with this! This series is relatively new for me so I did what I could for a Gojo reader.
-You were known for being rather a gremlin around Valhalla, being laid back, not taking anything seriously, which gave you several people who were mad at you.
-Almost always smiling, carefree in nature, you were easy to get along with when you weren’t pissing people off.
-However, there was something about you, many could sense it, but some chose not to believe it, that you were way stronger than you were letting on. They could sense a power within you, something that made you very dangerous.
-When Ragnarok was announced, you were all for a good fight, a bright smile on your face, ready for a challenge, really wanting to let loose, sense it had been years since you had gotten that chance to go wild.
-You were quickly disappointed however, when you chose to fight first, to open the tournament with a bang! You were paired against Chernabog, a massive deity of evil and destruction.
-Chernabog wanted nothing to do with the tournament and had to be dragged out by other gods, all who were blown head over heels, easily defeated.
-You scowled lightly as you approached, and Zeus shouted, “Idiot, what makes you think you can handle him?!”
-You smirked up at him, reaching up to pull your blindfold off, “No worries Zeusy~ after all, you all are weak!”
-Instead of being furious with your arrogance, many were instantly stunned as you whole face was revealed, your eyes were like looking at the cloud filled blue sky and starlight mixed together, they were beautiful!
-You crossed your fingers and in only a moment, Chernabog was dead, torn to pieces and you were up on the wall to the stadium, like you had teleported, a slightly bored look on your face, “Man, I was hoping to show off~”
-Had no idea you were that powerful- they knew you were powerful, that’s a given, but to see how easily you took care of one of the oldest and strongest gods out there in only a moment, it was very humbling. To you, it was more than a moment, as you and Chernabog went into your Domain Expansion where you teased him for being caught so easily and when he tried to attack, you attacked, but to everyone else, it was only seconds. They were quickly way more curious about you than before, wondering how truly powerful you actually were and wondering why you hid such beauty- you were stunning, why hide it?
-Zeus, Odin, Hermes, Shiva, Jack, Brunnhilde, and Aphrodite
-Was stunned stiff by your power, seeing how quickly you handled business, and you made it look easy! You won your match in only seconds, not even breaking a sweat and you were complaining that you didn’t get to show off! How powerful were you?! He wanted to find out, he wanted to test his own combat strength against your own, feeling antsy for a fight!
-Thor, Lu Bu, Raiden, Hercules, Ares, Beelzebub, Kojiro, and Rudra
-That was amazing!! You were so fast and handled Chernabog so quickly! How did you do that?! And was curious why you always wore a blindfold when you were so pretty, not understanding why you were hiding such beauty.
-Chen Gong, Zerofuku, Adam, and Eve
-You were so stunningly beautiful, how on earth did he not realize you were so beautiful?! He knew you were strong, that’s a given, and you were a pain in the ass when you wanted to be, but your skills could back your arrogance up. Seeing your power on full display was rather intimidating but also humbling, you were a human, but your power could handle anyone in Valhalla, gods or humans. He was a bit more curious about why you hid your beauty, wanting to seek you out to demand an answer, such perfection should never be hidden!
-Loki, Buddha, Hades, Poseidon, Nikola, and Qin Shi Huang

JJK and the obnoxiously nice new girl!
Introduction
10:23 A.M.
You skin is sticky with sweat from the sweltering summer heat in Tokyo. You slightly regret your decision to wear your new school uniform, but how else was your new teacher supposed to spot you in the busy crowded market?
You wonder around to different stalls, chatting with the workers at each one.
"Y/n L/n?" a deep voice says from behind you. You jump with a small squeal at the mans sudden presence. Turning you’re met with a tall man with white hair.
"You must be Gojo! I've heard so much about you!" You have a wide smile on your face, voice sweet and excited.
"Oh? Have you now? Good things I hope!" He has a smug grin on his face as he puffs his chest out and puts his hands on his hips.
"Stop showing off to our new classmate you idiot." A girls voice tears through the small interaction.
You turn and reach your hand out to her.
"You must be Kugisaki!" Your smile is still wide and toothy, it makes her slightly cringe for a moment but then she takes your hand.
"You know my name?"
You now sport a small pout as she drops the handshake and gives you a questioning look.
"Well, yeah, I learned all your names before coming here." Your eyes drift from her as two boys walk up behind her, one of them slinging his arm over her shoulder and leaning against her.
"You must be Fushiguro?" You now extend your arm out to the other boy, who remained stoic. He nods and shakes your hand.
Finally you turn to the other boy who's now fighting with Kugisaki.
"And you're Itadori!" He now turns to you with a smile wider than yours.
"The one and only!" He takes your hand and shakes it vigorously.
"Woah!" You say with a giggle at his excitement. Arm being pulled up and down quickly.
"Itadori!," The short haired girl grabs at his arm to make him stop, sending you an apologetic look. "Sorry, he's, uhm, for lack of better words special."
You laugh as they go back to arguing.
"So, what'dya think of Japan so far?" The teacher now slings his arm over your shoulder and leans down so his face is next to yours.
"Hmm, it's hot. Not hotter than summers back home, and the language barrier is kind of difficult." A small frown settles on your face. He leans back up and his hand gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze, his lips drawn tightly together.
"Yeah, but don't worry, it'll get easier over time."
You beam up at him and nod in agreeance.
12:17 P.M.
The walk to the school was long and you seriously regretted your shoe choice. Finally you approach the large gate and stare in awe.
The pink haired boy runs in front of you and grabs your wrist.
"Come on! We'll show you around!" His voice is loud and his grip is tight, but you don’t mind.
He starts pulling you behind him and it’s only then you start to care. He’s fast, like really extremely fast.
The other two first years are following behind the two of you and yelling for him to slow down, it’s only when Itadori hears his name being said by a deep voice that he stops.
You trip over your own foot trying to not run into him and it causes you to fall. Skirt flying up in the process. Kugisaki is quick to rush over and pull it back down for you, but you just stay laying face first on the hard ground. Too embarrassed to look up at the group of people now surrounding you. “Yuji! What the hell dude!” The brown haired girl yells up at him, he’s already profusely apologizing for the mistake. It’s only when you feel yourself get lifted off the ground that you force your eyes open to asses the situation.
“Are you okay?” You turn around to be met with a panda bear. Then look behind him to see a white haired boy and a girl with glasses. Heat has now completely settled across your body. Embarrassed for showing your intimates to this new group of people.
“L/n, I am so genuinely sorry! Please let me make it up to you!” You make eye contact with him and his eyes are wide and face is beet red. You sigh and dust yourself off, letting a small smile settle on your face.
"It's okay, accidents happen!," His face relaxes a bit but it's short lived as the girl with glasses flicks his forehead. You cringe but decide to further lighten the mood. "Now that everyones seen my underwear, I guess I have no reason to be nervous!" You chuckle a bit at the thought.
Kugaski pouts before turning back to the boy who started this whole mess and scowls.
"Y'know Itadori, you're lucky L/n's so nice. Otherwise I'd beat your ass."
The two of them yet again begin fighting, you watch with a small smile before a large paw rests on your shoulder. Heat crawls back up your face when you remember what just happened that led to them arguing to begin with.
"So," a deep voice rumbles, you shiver and turn around slowly. "You must be the new first year!" His voice is cheerful and it makes you feel a sense of relief. The same wide smile fills your face again as you formally introduce yourself.
The panda introduces himself then the two second years behind him. You shake their hands and shake your head as he explains that Inumaki can only communicate using cooking terms, due to the nature of his curse. You take a mental note to start paying attention when he talks, so you can learn how to effectively communicate with him. Eventually after chatting a bit and Panda asking where you were originally from because 'frankly your accent sucks!' Kugasaki pulls you away, ready to actually show you around.
She guides you around the large campus, showing you every nook and cranny. Allowing you to chat with the people you come across. After a while of walking she finally leads you to the dorms.
3:45 P.M.
"So I figured you'd want your own room, and there's plenty of space for one, but if you wanted we could always share one." You smile at her and agree that having your own is appealing.
"I've practically lived on my own my whole life, but it'd be nice to not for once." You watch as she processes your words and her face grows wide with a smile.
"Awesome! I'll have the guys bring your stuff over, let me show you to your room then!" You watch as she quickly types on her phone, presumably texting Itadori and Fushiguro to bring your stuff to her dorm.
4:33 P.M.
Eventually they arrive, Panda following them, with all your belongings.
"Damn woman! Could you have literally anymore stuff?" Itadori huffs out as he sets the boxes he was carrying down.
You giggle and thank him for helping, turning around you thank the other two as well.
"I hope it wasn't too much of a burden!" You say and Fushiguro says it wasn't, though Itadori mumbles about how it was.
"Oh! By the way!," You say, leaning down to dig in your backpack, stopping the boys before they left. "I made everyone cookies! I made them two days ago before I left to come here, and I planned on giving them to you guys tomorrow but since y'all are here, why not now?"
You pull out 3 large ziplock bags and hold them up.
"Wow. That's a lot of cookies!" Panda says. You smile shyly and explain you might have gone a bit overboard, but you didn't know how many people there would be exactly.
"Here's for us first years," You say setting a bag down on the table "And this is for the second years!" You shove another bag into Panda's arms.
"Who's the last bag for?" Kugisaki asks.
"The teachers of course! I heard the third years aren't really ever around so I didn't bother making them any," You begin mumbling to yourself about how you probably should make them some anyways.
"Well, I'm sure there's already plenty here that we could share some around!" Panda declares, you look up at him and agree.
"Oh my godddddd! These are so good!" You turn around to see Itadori with his mouth stuffed full, a half eaten cookie in his hand.
"Really? Im glad! I figured they wouldn't be as good because they're a little old..."
"Hey! You guys having a party in here of what?" Everyone turns towards the door to see Gojo leaning against the frame.
"Gojo! Dude! Try these cookies!" Itadori shoves the bag outwards towards the tall man, who steps forward to take one.
He take a bite and through his blindfold you can see his eyebrows raise up.
"Oh my god! These are delicious!"
"L/n made them!"
The white haired man turns towards you and points between you and the cookie in his hand.
"No words. These are amazing!"
You laugh and thank him.
"Alright guys! Get out now! L/n needs to unpack and i'm sure she wants to shower and rest."
Gojo and Itadori start mumbling about how she's a buzzkill but the other two thank you for the cookies and quickly leave.
Gojo is the last to walk out the door but before he does he turns to face you.
"Oh, by the way Y/n, the principal wants to see you first thing in the morning, something about your parents."
You hum and thank him as he closes the door.
"Your parents?" You now turn to face the girl who's leaned against the small countertop in the common room of your new shared dorm.
You sigh and lazily fall back into the chair at the small table, allowing your head to fall forward onto the cold wood. You now turn your neck, cheek flat against the hard surface, and look at her.
"Yeah. It's some bull shit. Honestly," you sigh and sit back up, a small, tired smile tugs at your lips. "I'm just glad to be here!"
You watch as her face contorts into a type of concern, but you mentally sigh as she smiles back and asks you if you want help unpacking.
"Itadori is dramatic, you don't have that much stuff. I'm sure we could get you fully unpacked by tonight."
Though your body is screaming for sleep, your mind is telling you it's better if you just get it over with, so you agree.
12:26 A.M.
Wet hair is soaking your pillow but you're too exhausted to even care. Your eyes are heavy as you scroll through your phone, it had been long forgotten since you arrived in Tokyo this morning.
You respond to a few messages from people back home, then sigh as you click the power button and shove the device off to the side of your bed.
You look around your new room, proud of you and Kugisaki for getting it set up in one night. You'd have to get her lunch tomorrow to thank her for helping you. You smile softly as you finally allow your eyes to close.
Your body reacts quickly to you finally relaxing, within five minutes you're in a deep sleep.
Kugisaki softly knocks on your door before peeking in to check on you, she smiles and quietly shuts it, excited to finally have a roommate.
