No Last Jobs

"Kit, you good?" Jade clicks over. She can see the top of Kit's laptop in her lap, already connected to one of the server towers and though she can't hear her, Jade knows Kit is talking softly to herself, narrating what she's doing to an empty room like a bad TV hacker. Jade will never tell her how much she loves it. "I'm doing fine," Kit says, "I'm doing perfect. I assume Elora is behind?"

1st Grade Problems

The door swings open and if the hallway outside was colorful, the inside of the classroom is a kaleidescope. Squares of rug in different colors, shapes and numbers cut out and stuck to the wall in a rainbow, cubbies painted with flowers and multi colored baskets of art supplies and instruments and blocks and who knows what else.
