Also, Massachusetts only looks unanimous on a county-based map. On a map broken down by cities and towns, there's a lot more red.

A lot of that red exists in whiter areas and the blue is more common in places with a less than 90% white population. There are obviously exceptions to that (Massachusetts is a fairly white state after all, the fact I had to say "less than 90%" isn't lost on me) but I promise our allegedly top tier education system and the rich people who mostly live in the suburbs aren't what's keeping us blue.
