I love those long night walks home after work. It's always so nicely calm and quiet without all the people around. And sometimes the atmosphere gets so good, I just can't help it and have to take a shot. Who wouldn't like this kind of creepy yet cozy atmosphere at the same time?? These two pics were taken just a few steps appart. The only change was the color of the street lights. And it made such a huge difference. I just love it so much!! Also, it was so fuckin' freezing outside. And the cold wind made it so much worst. That's like the only downside on this whole experience.

K-Lot Passes (Blog 2)

I'm from Nicholasville, Kentucky, which is 15 minutes from Lexington. All my friends, family, and my girlfriend live there. Because my parent's house is so close and my Dad works on campus we decided not to get a K-Lot pass for me. K-Lot passes can be expensive, to say the least. With that decision, it became a lot harder for me to visit everyone I want to see. Fortunately, my awesome girlfriend figured out a solution to this problem. Her aunt and uncle live right outside of campus, so I can park my car there during the week and move it on weekends. The only problem with this is it is about a thirty-minute walk from my car, through the woods, past apartments to finally reach Kroger field and continue my journey towards Johnson hall. Usually, I make this journey Sunday night (not to say I'm scared of the dark, but walking through the woods at night kind of sucks). So why are K-Lot passes so expensive? Its a task, to say the least, to get to my car whenever I need to go to work or even just to see my brothers. Is there anything students can do to petition to reduce these prices?
