Top 5 Best Tanzania Mountains to visit with friends
If you have planned a thrilling vacation with friends, then there cannot be a better place to go to in Tanzania than the Tanzania Mountains. From the world’s fifth-highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro to the relatively unknown Mount Rungwe in Tanzania, there is a vast selection of fantastic mountains that range from challenging to relatively easy climbs. Whether you are looking for adventurous opportunities or great views, traversing these stately mountains is the best way to strengthen your friendship with your friends as well as enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature with the help of Tanzania visa. Come with us and let’s explore the following important information about the five thrilling mountains in Tanzania.
Some of the Top 5 Best Tanzania Mountains to visit with friends are as follows
1. Mount Kilimanjaro
Standing at 5,895 meters, Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the seven natural wonders of the world worth a climb. This mountain stands at 5,895 meters and is well known due to the fact that it has as many as five climate zones, including tropical rainforest and Arctic. Climbing is not an easy thing but it is more fulfilling and can be done through different tracks including the Marangu and Machame. The views of the world from Uhuru Peak are beautiful and it is a great destination to end up with friends when you are trekking.
2. Mount Meru
Another fabulous mountain that tourists and climbers can consider is Mount Meru which is only 70 kilometers from Kilimanjaro. It stands at 4,566 meters making it slightly less busy than its famous counterpart. The journey to the top is quite exciting as one has to cross through the forests and meet with different kinds of monkeys and birds. The scenery of the whole surrounding environment is interesting, which will make the views with friends interesting if there is Kilimanjaro in the distance.
3. Ol Doinyo Lengai
For those who are interested in something more exotic, one should mention Ol Doinyo Lengai, or the “Mountain of God”, as it is known. This volcano is active and has an altitude of 2,962 meters; it is near Lake Natron. Unlike other mountains, Ol Doinyo Lengai is special because of the carbonatite lava that forms it and when it cools it turns black. It is always very exciting to trek to the top and especially if you are able to watch the sunrise from the top, your friends will not forget that experience.
4. Mount Rungwe
Located in the southern highlands, Mount Rungwe has not been figured out much by tourists thus can be an option for tourists. This extinct strato-volcano stands at an altitude of 2,981 meters and features rainforests and a high level of biodiversity besides beautiful terrains. The trek is slightly easier, and therefore a group of friends who are not so much into hardcore hiking can opt for this one. Take a pleasant walk together through the woods discovering the different kinds of plants and animals in the company of your partner.
5. Mount Longido
It is also near the border of Kenya and Tanzania, Mount Longido is another great mountain to go with friends. This one stands at 2,628 meters and is relatively easy to climb and not very steep as those other ones hence perfect for beginners. The hike has features which include viewing of the plains and valleys besides getting an opportunity to interact with the Maasai people. It is a perfect place for a group that would love to have a simple hike and marvel at the views.
Conclusion:
The mountains in Tanzania are some of the most incredible adventures for friends to take up. If the goal is to climb Africa’s highest mountain at Kilimanjaro, explore the volcanically active Ol Doinyo Lengai or take a nature trail up Mount Longido or the easy grade routes then all these mountains offer different tracks that range in difficulty, duration and steepness. Visiting friends in the Tanzania Mountains is a guarantee that you will not only see great beauty of the world but you and your friends will share memories that will last a lifetime. Therefore, invite your friends and go on an adventure to climb these amazing peaks with.

531 days at sea, Mr. Chappell thinks about the month of May.
“Lat about 55º N LongiDo 149º W
Sunday May 28th
I am still liveing to see the last sabbath in May Yes this beautiful month has nearly passed away Many reflections recolections of the past always visit me on this month. It is a birthday of hope .The 14 of this month I was presented with a little bud as pure as ever grew in Eadens garden but just as it began to expand and display its beauty it was taken to better Climes to spend its sweetness there The 23d a little daughter was given me and is so near and angel I can hardly help worshiping her She was well last account and I am very thankful to him who “doeth all things well” The 9 of this month 10 years My Wife presented herself to me the very best of all earthly presents Is it a wonder then that I think so much of the month of May? The Lord help me to be more thankful for there blessings.”
New whaleman’s journal I’ve started perusing tonight. A Mr. William Chappell, shipping aboard the Saratoga in late 1853 with the combination role of cooper (and apparently, eventually boatsteerer in addition to that). A rather intense and god-fearing man, upon first impressions. Here’s his opening entry.
“At 10 1/2 Oclock AM we weighed anchor and made sail to a strong breeze from the N.W. and shaped our course to the south leaving the home of our youth with our friends and family. In doing this I sacrifice my feelings, the preasance of my friends, my home, my wife, and my little ones, feeling it a duty to consult their interest rather than my feelings swayed by this mighty impulse I tare myself from them overcome every obstacle breake down every bearrier and dash away every tear that shall arise through human weekness and even stare death in the face to accomplish this great object, determined to forget all dangers, all hardships, and all privations not trusting in my own strength, no, for that would be weekness that could not be tolerated, but I will put my trust in Him who has said (I will not forsake you) and if I live to get home it will be found that these resolutions have been faithfully discharged. December 14th 1853”

Ruby in zoizite is a very popular carving material also much appreciated among mineral collectors and geology aficionados. The fact that may occur in large hand-sized specimens makes it eye-catching in a mineral collection and because it is relatively inexpensive (typically under $500-1000 per kilogram), it has been used as teaching samples in geology and gemmology classes. Also known as anyolite, this is it is a metamorphic rock of granular fine texture formed by green chrome-zoisite, dark green to black amphibole (pargasite) and large opaque to rarely translucent red to purple corundum crystals (petrologists call these large crystals porphyroblasts) that is commonly used in multi-coulored carvings where the chrome-zoisite’s green colour with the dark amphibole specks contrasts with the red of the corundum. This massive gem material occurs in the Mundarara mine, near Longido, in Tanzania, where it was discovered in 1949. The local Massai named it “anyole” due to its predominantly green colour. Some materials, like a corundum-fuchsite-kyanite rock from the Karnataka State in India and a fuchsite and/or chlorite-corundum rock from Bahia and Minas Gerais, Brazil have similar appearance. In the photos, a magnificently carved Longido ruby toad by Gerd Dreher of Idar Oberstein © Bonhams; A large ruby in zoisite specimen (12 x 10 x 5 cm) where the corundum crystallographic symmetry is evident © Liber Lapidum. The Best Tea Leaves From Africa
Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa aligned east coast of the Indian ocean with the best collections of agro-productions from Africa. The country is named after the astonishing union of two states; Tanganyika (Mainland) and Zanzibar (Island) to form Tanzania. Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere and Abed Amani Karume are well remembered as the ancestors of the states since they agreed to form a permanent union. It happened on 26th April 1964. The country is shielded by water bodies almost everywhere. These include Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Nyasa, Lake Manyara, and others.
As it is not enough, the country has a number of rivers that make the country almost green throughout the year. These include rivers Rufiji, Great Ruaha, Pangani, Malagarasi, Wami, Ruvuma, Mara, Kagera, Ruvu, Kilombero, Tarangire, Ruvuvu, Manonga, Umba, and many others.
Tanzania has also a number of mountains and high hills in some areas to make the wonderful territory well organized. The presence of mountains Kilimanjaro, Meru, Usambara, Ol Donyo Lengai, Udzungwa, Hanang, Loleza, Kipenere, Longido and others impact the suitable agricultural climatic condition.
The country has a lot of wonders, national parks, game reserves, and much more to witness. Zanzibar herself is the place where everyone wishes to visit and see the beauty of the Island. Tanzania has a warm, tropical climate, with seasonal patterns of rainfalls. Some of the countries have a single wet and dry season, whereas other regions have two distinct rainy seasons.
The Best Tea Collections from Tanzania
Tanzania is one of the most important tea-producing countries in Africa, and also boundaries Kenya and Malawi, the two other major African tea-growing states. Most of Tanzania’s teas simply called ‘Chai’ in Swahili is exported in bulk as raw products. This situation makes Tanzania not much visible in tea production. Most of the raw tea products which are sold in Europe are sourced from Tanzania.
Some major tea companies in Tanzania have taken steps ahead for the quality of their products. These are Chai Bora and Afri Tea & Coffee Blenders. They have made a great change by sourcing, blending, and branding tea products. Simply, the best tea production from Africa is dominated by Tanzania but the major issue is branding challenges that have made them invisible to the World. The good thing is, the best tea leaves collections of their products are well-sorted and presented by Fumbalo Online Store. This is an online shop that sells tea and coffee products from Tanzania.
Tea was first cultivated under German colonists in 1902 on a very small scale to be used by colonizers. In the 1920s commercial farming of tea began under British authority.
After Tanzania was granted independence from Britain, her new government put under public sectors most of the tea factories and some tea estates. This decision had very bad significances on the tea industry in Tanzania. The government decided to handle the production into the private sector as a rescue mission.
Currently, local companies blend tea products that can compete with any brand of products around the World. They produce bold, well-twisted leaves, in shades of olive green, produce a yellow jade liquor with a bright, broth aroma. A product with refreshing character is well balanced with a rich buttery mouth feel and sweet hay notes. The finished product is clean and satisfying to anyone who tastes the product for the first time.
These companies blend a collection of tea products such as black tea, green tea, and other indigenous products mixed with spices such as ginger, camomile, cardamom, cinnamon, hibiscus, clove, lemongrass, vanilla, and others to ensure the aroma and refreshing products. All these raw products are naturally produced in the country to make the best tea production from Africa brand.
Actually, the companies are able to deliver the best tea production from Africa available in Tanzania. Tea from Tanzania is largely sourced from five main areas. These are Kagera, Tanga, Iringa, Mbeya, and Njombe regions. The regions have climatic conditions that favour the growth of tea.
How to Process Tea from the farm to the cup?
Most areas in the country have the same way of processing tea since they all grow the best tea production from Africa. Tea leaves are harvested from farms mostly by women. They use their hands to pick a few fresh and new leaves on top of plants and put them into their baskets made by using bamboo trees. The collected tea leaves are transported from the farm to the industries within a short time before they wear out or lose their natural state. Most of the time harvesting activity is done during the morning.
Some processes are conducted in the industries to produce a perfect product of tea leaves. These include withering, bruising (for black tea), twisting, oxidation, roasting, frying or boiling, and finally drying to reduce moisture and increase shelf life. In the end, the product is paced into various packages ready for sale.
The following are some of the products of black tea blend you may need to try:
o Kilimanjaro Tea Premium Blend
o Kilimanjaro Tea English Breakfast
o African Pride Tea Luxury Blend
o African Pride Chai Masala
o Chai Bora Premium Tea Blend
o Chai Bora Supreme Tea Blend
o Chai Bora Luxury Tea Blend
o Chai Bora Organic Highlands Black tea
Teas are a generator of wealth and employment in rural areas and support the well-being of over 100,000 families in Tanzania. The product is highly sold in the UK, European countries, Asian and American Markets. Are you looking for the best tea from Africa? Tanzania is among the producers of the best tea from Africa. For that reason, Fumbalo Store is not selling just tea. We are selling the best tea products from Africa. Ruby in Zoisite
Zoisite is more familiar to us in its blue form, which we call Tanzanite (see http://on.fb.me/1B8IMQy) or its pink massive form called Thulite (see https://tmblr.co/Zyv2Js2NDFULE), but one location in Tanzania called Longido produced tonnes of this lovely material. It has also been called Anyolite (from the Masai word for green) and Tanganyika artstone (from the old colonial name for the territory). The rubies in the matrix are mostly opaque and unsuitable for gem use, but it delights gem carvers and cabochon makers since it can be bought in large sizes.
It was discovered by a British prospector in 1949, and though his hopes of a corundum motherlode weren't realised, this beautiful stuff entered the gem and mineral world with a splash. The zoisite is green, and frequently mixed with other minerals such as black hornblende, lending it attractive mottlings of various colours.
The carving in the photo is about 17cm tall by the same wide.
