I like how you think lmao
This is more a clothes heist/domestic fluff, but I think it works for that prompt still
Yosuke furrowed his brow, moving the hangers in his closet.
Where was it?
He couldn’t find his favorite sweatshirt anywhere. He could have sworn that he had hung it up after he had taken it off the previous night.
All of a sudden, his phone went off with a text. He grabbed it out of his pocket - it was from Yu.
Yu
Are we still on for tonight?
Yosuke
Yeah ill be heading out in just a minute
Yu
See you soon.
Yosuke put his phone back in his pocket, turning back to his closet. They were going to be having a movie night at Yu’s apartment that night, so he wanted to have something comfortable to wear.
He didn’t have much time to look for it now though, so he shrugged it off, grabbing out one of his less comfortable sweatshirts. It would just have to do for the time being. He shoved it in his bag along with the rest of his pajamas, then started heading out in the direction of Yu’s apartment.
They were over at each other’s places so often that he was honestly considering asking him if he just wanted to move in together. While it was nice to have his own space, he also really loved it when they would just live and exist together. Yu had actually suggested that they move in together near the time that they started dating, but Yosuke hadn’t really felt ready for that step yet back then. It felt too real. Too scary. Too serious.
Yu had just spent the past couple of nights staying with him though. That had been really nice. They had eaten dinner together, hung out in the evenings, and then had spent every night sleeping in the same bed, cuddled up against each other. It was honestly how he wanted things to be for the rest of his life.
Before long, he came up to Yu’s apartment, climbing up the stairs, then knocking on the door.
“I’m here,” he called, trying the door. It was open, so he walked inside, taking his shoes off in the entranceway, then locking the door behind him. He would leave it open for him when he knew that he was coming.
It was a relatively small apartment, but it was more than enough space for one person to live comfortably. Because of the size though, it was very easy to tell exactly where Yu was.
He walked to the kitchen, stopping when he saw him, narrowing his eyes. He instantly realized why he couldn’t find the sweatshirt. Yu was wearing the light blue piece of clothing. He did have to admit that it did look kind of nice on him, but still, it was his sweatshirt.
Yu turned around, from where he was stirring a pot, “Hey, how was your day?”
“It would have been a lot better if you hadn’t stolen from me.”
Yu furrowed his brow, “What do you mean?”
“You stole my sweatshirt.” He walked over, grabbing onto the fabric.
Yu looked down at his hand, “No. I just finally took it back from when I left it at your place.”
Yosuke pursed his lips, “It’s mine though. I wear it all the time.”
“I was the one who bought it. I just left it with you because yes, you do wear it all the time and I think it’s cute.”
Yosuke’s face felt hot, “Nuh-uh. When?” Now that he was thinking about it, he couldn’t actually remember buying it. It was almost like it had just shown up one day in his apartment. Was Yu actually right?
“When did I buy it?”
“Yeah.”
“I don’t know. Like two years ago.”
“Are you being serious?”
“Yes.”
“I’ve had it for so long though.”
“I know.”
“It’s so comfortable.”
A smile tugged at his lips, “I know that too.”
“Yu.” His voice came out more whiny than he intended.
“What?”
“Why’d you take it if I’ve already had it for so long?”
“Because it’s comfortable. Besides, it smells like you now.”
“So?”
“I like being able to smell you. It makes me happy.”
Yosuke’s face felt like it was on fire. How could he say stuff like that with a straight face? Then again, if he was being honest, he liked how it made him feel when he did say things like that.
“I guess that if it means that much to you that you can keep it.”
“It was mine to begin with.”
“You abandoned it with me. I think that that means that it transferred ownership to me.”
Yu laughed, “Whatever you say.”
“It’s true. I’m sure there’s a law about that somewhere.”
“All right.”
Yosuke looked down at the ground, “But maybe, if you like being able to… smell me so much, maybe we should just move in together. Then we could share clothes and blankets and all of that stuff all the time.”
Yosuke looked up to see Yu staring at him with wide eyes. Had that been a bad thing to suggest? Was it too soon? Yeah, they had known each other since high school and had been dating for almost three years now, but maybe his perception was off.
“Do you really mean that?”
“Moving in? Yeah, of course. I like being with you.”
Yu nodded, a smile breaking out on his face, “Then yes, of course. I want to live with you.”
“Really?”
Yu didn’t answer, instead, he cleared the small distance between them, laying his hand on his cheek. Very gently, he pressed their lips together.
It was very simple and chaste, but it filled his body with so much warmth. He sighed into the kiss, grabbing hold of Yu’s hand, beginning to softly caress it.
Yu moved his hand off of his cheek, wrapping his arm around his neck, pulling them even closer together. Everywhere they were touching was so pleasant and tingly. He wanted to stay like that forever. He should get to do it whenever he wanted to now though.
“I love you,” Yu said as he slowly pulled away.
“I love you too - even if you did steal my sweatshirt.”
“My sweatshirt.”
“Let’s say you get it on weekends and I get it on weekdays.”
“Are you trying to come up with a custody agreement for a sweatshirt?”
He shrugged, “We don’t have any kids to do it for.”
Yu rolled his eyes, but he was smiling, “All right. It’s a deal.”
