welcome back to another episode of “feeling kinda sad about something which I know is somewhat justified but also feeling like I shouldn’t be this sad bc I did expect the worst case scenario”

#did y’all forget that this is like my online diary sometimes bc I didn’t #long story short: applied for permanent position with recs from coworkers #I am technically under qualified but still applied bc of their advice and also bc I know I could do it #got rejected which I did expect but also now I’m sad #ignore me #loud sigh #idk I think I got it in my head that I’d at least make it to interviews bc people were like ‘you’d be great for it so apply’#and I believed them #oh well #is it the end of the world? no. am I still sad? yeah
