An Heir is one who passively changes (through) their Aspect. They are said to quite literally embody their Aspect. Hope is the Aspect of Beliefs, Imagination and Idealism. Prospit is the moon of Defense, and its dreamers recieve visions through the clouds of Skaia, which guide them to complete important milestones in the timeline.

Ah... another worringly passive player. I'm sure Sburb will take care of that well enough.

the Land of Bells and Choirs

In this land, the Heir is revered as an almost Christ-like figure. The consorts are fully convinced that through the Heir's sacrifice, they will all be raptured into a better life, and with the Denizen feeding their cult of personality with oversimplifications and hyperbole, at some point recently the consorts' opinion of the Heir has passed from devoted faith to manic obsession.

It is on the Heir how they will deal with this, and the Denizen will be observing them closely. It will be an uphill battle, either way.

the Land of Mist and Laughter

The amphibian inhabitants of LOMAL are an interesting bunch. Somehow, somewhere, the entire population became convinced of something so laughably stupid it sounds like a joke when they begin to explain their theory to the Heir.

Anyone else would simply shrug and chuckle and move on, but the Heir is quite used to more... esoteric beliefs, and hey, maybe they're even right! They're not, of course. The Heir needs to find a way to convince them of this, and have enough strength behind their own beliefs to do so properly.

the Land of Crystal and Truth

The planet of LO(L)CAT is one holding vast knowledge, and as the name suggests, vast Truth. Its consorts maintain a great library that stores many tomes, each holding some universal truth that has been proven time and time again and can be attested to by many a scholar.

For some reason or another though, the Heir finds something here that goes against what they previously knew to be true. Be it something they believed themselves or something they were made to believe, the books say it's wrong. How do you deal with being wrong? And how do you not let it affect winning that murderous game you're playing?

1.3.2024 Kalevauva.fi — G Livelab Helsinki

Kalevauva.fi are a comedy folk band that takes their lyrics mainly from online forums and social media, so you might expect some, uh, audience participation and other silly business at their performances. I was a bit on the fence about going but a) I needed something to cheer me up, having been feeling (literally) physically ill from work, and b) the tickets were about to be sold out.

(A thing I dislike about bar gigs that are this popular is how people usually come in groups, so they take all the table seats. I was able to find a decent seat on a cushion by the window though.)

Since they usually release their songs on Youtube, many have (fun!) music videos. They'd have the video (or clips from it) playing on the screen behind them as they performed the song.

Bit disappointed they left out my favorite line from Vantaa, the one about "draw a logo in Paint" (it's at the start of the bridge/guitar solo section so I get why).

There was a link to a survey you could do on your phone while you waited for the show to start. The questions were all the things in the "Does pineapple belong on pizza" song. When they played the song, the survey results were shown on the screen :D

There was also a new song that hasn't been released yet. The topic was taken from a call for suggestions on Facebook a little while ago. I expect it's titled Talvi yllätti autoilijat, as originally proposed in the suggestions thread, and it's about funny weather headlines. You may know how weird those are from my side blog.

During the intermission, there was another survey. In this one, you're asked to select from a list the 8 songs you most wanted to hear in the second half, which actually informed what they played.

They mentioned selling t-shirts after but I didn't stick around waiting for them to bring those out because I had choir practice the next morning and didn't want to stay out late. Maybe I should have, though (I had brought their found poetry/lyrics book along for autographs). (Next time I guess.)

14/01/2024 Terveee! Mä istuin kotona jo 4 päivää ja en meni ulkona koska nyt minulla on koeviikko. MUTTA. Huomenna on viimeinen tentti ja sitten minä haluasin tavata poikaystävä. En voin odottaa kun tentti loputtaa ja voin levätä. Ennen vanhaan kekrinä valettiin tinat, syötiin kinkku – ja pukkikin kävi

Suomalainen amerikkalaistuu: on punaisiin puettu joulupukki ja koulussa Halloween-pippaloita. Mutta jos haluaa kunnioittaa perinteitä, nyt on aika viettää sadonkorjuujuhlaa, kekriä.

Suomalaisen talonpojan juhlaa kuvaa hyvin sanonta ”Herrain joulu, talonpoikain kekri”. Aina 1800-luvulle asti tärkein juhla oli sadonkorjuun päättymisen juhla kekri eli köyri, keuri, köyry tai keyri. Kekrin aika alkoi perinteisesti mikkelinpäivänä eli 29. syyskuuta.

Kekrinä pöydät notkuivat, poltettiin kokkoa, ennustettiin tulevaa vuotta ja iloittiin koko talon väen kesken. Yltäkylläisistä juhlista seuraisi yltäkylläinen vuosi. Palkolliset voitiin kekrin jälkeen päästää ansaitulle lomalle.

Nykyään valamme tinan uutena vuotena, ennen se valettiin kekrinä. Kranssin muotoinen tina tiesi naimaonnea. Kekrinä pukeuduttiin hurjiksi hahmoiksi, joista kekripukki oli tunnetuin. Kekripukki ja myöhemmin nuuttipukki ovat jättäneet jälkeensä jouluun ainakin pukki-sanana. Myös kinkku ja lahjat kuuluivat kekriperinteisiin.

Suomalaisen kansanperinteen pelastamiseksi on tehtävä jotain. Järjestäkäämme kaikki sadonkorjuujuhlat! Pimentyvän illan puutarhajuhlat lyhtyjen valossa tai riehakkaat kekripukkitanssit ajavat asian. Siispä tinat esiin, syysreseptit kokeiluun ja ystävät kutsulistalle.
