I dunno what it is with me… but I seem to have this natural inclination to gravitate toward bunny girls of a certain color hue.  Specifically, I seem to have a subconscious affinity toward rabbits who are yellow, tan, or orange.  This is so deep-seated that when I was making my rabbicoon character, she ended up having that kind of fur color, too!

Like I said, I have no idea why.  I like not-yellowy bunnies just fine, but my absolute favorite rabbits are almost always the ones who are between yellow and orange in coloration.

I wonder if that means anything to anyone…?

Hear me out....

I am really, REALLY, REALLY NOT a fan of what they have been doing with Colette, when I first saw this skin, I found it cute but it's clear now that like Charlie, it was horny bait from the start.

I couldn't say this in the subreddit because they would chew me up, spit me out, Bully me for maining Nita and who knows what else.

But I have always loved Colette for her fun and eccentric personality, and I have always pitied Janet for being seen as simply a horny joke rather than an actual character but now this is all people will talk about when Colette comes to mind. Charlie got lucky imo, if everyone didn't despise her so much, she would be 100% horny jokes too.

The worst part is how they had to outright confirm that she is a 'young adult' just to justify her sexualization

I have always, always, ALWAYS seen Colette as a silly little teen who likes to yap about her hyperfixtations to peeps.

This was 100% just an excuse to sexualise her which is odd because they seemed (rightfully) strongly against Janet's fanservise and recently removed the brawlstars p*** sub.

(I was making jokes about how that was a good thing, luckily they didn't notice I was serious)

The BS fandom got super weird over Charlie because of a slight cleavage and Janet despite her not having the hourglass shape, now I won't be able to say Colette's name without someone saying something horny

and I will have to pretend I found it funny so I Don get abused

Now I'm not against this sort of fanservice, I was more than fine with what they did with Charlie, and Lola's sexualization has never bothered me. It's just Colette specifically that grinds my gears and how they felt the need to conrifm she is a "young adult" for the sole reason of sexualization her.

I was actually glad when the fandom started thirsting over Charlie because it took attention away from Janet, whom I had never felt comfortable with as far as fanservice goes.

One of my favourite brawlers reduced to this, I'm crying.

The subreddit has also been a slightly less pleasant place to be since then and nobody actually agrees with me because I am unfortunately horrible at arguments.

I just hope that SC drops another "ultra fanservise" skin for Lola, or Charlie or an actual adult so Colette can rest

I got these two little comments on this post about Colette HC's and its honestly a wonderful question for world building. I have an answer to both of them, but I felt like it would be better to explain it in a post rather than just in the comments.

This is gonna be a long post.

We know that there's an in-universe fanbase for Starr Park in Brawl Stars. Colette is the most obvious example for this, but other brawlers reference social media, Brawl Stars, and their popularity itself. Emz, Chester, and Melodie all come to mind, but I'm sure there are many others.

My general Headcanon (the one I talk about most often and isn't tied to any specific story) is that 'Brawl Stars' is like a fighting tournament held by Starr Park where exceptional and powerful people called 'Brawlers' can fight each other in wacky and crazy scenarios of fame, fortune, and glory. All of the characters are real and not just actors playing a bit, so I guess that this would probably be considered an RPF or a Real Person Fandom in-universe. I will admit though that I'm not in any RPF's myself so I'm a bit unsure of certain terminologies or any specific details of those fandoms.

Now for the brawlers themselves, there are two main ways that a person can become a brawler. Its either 1.) a staff member of Starr Park is proven to be exceptional/powerful enough to 'get promoted' and make the cut or 2.) an already famous person signs a contract to work at Starr Park. There are more but those are the most important. People like Shelly, Fang, and Larry & Lawrie fall into the first category, meanwhile people like El Primo, Lola, and Melodie fall into the latter.

As for brawlers getting merchandise, I think that everyone gets some merch made of them. They made it into the big leagues of Brawl Stars so theres got to be some fans for them to please. The big names and celebrities would obviously have merch made of them, but even the Brawlers who in-universe wouldn't be too famous still have stuff made of them,

Example: Super Fan Emz and Sugar Rush Sandy

I'll argue that Rosa and Carl would NOT be at the same level of Fandom love and appreciation as Poco or El Primo.

I think merchandise with a specific brawler in mind depends on 1.) how popular/forward facing they are to the fandom, and 2.) how many jokes/puns the company can fit into their merch. So someone like Sam has some 'Uncle Sam' posters displayed in the Basket Brawl arena despite being more like a body guard to Belle, while Grom (who I'd argue would hit the same fans in the in-universe fandom as Sam) doesnt seem to have any merch about him yet.

I do like to think that the Gift Shop Trio does have their own set of merch that we just dont see. Everyone loves the crazy girl and the emo boy in fandoms, and that just fits Colette and Edgar to a T. Even Griff could be kinda popular since his unique head shape is something that you can play around with a lot.

But regardless of a brawlers popularity, I like to think that they all at least have a figurine and/or plushie made of them and any extra merch they have just depends on how well received they are as a Brawler.

Bull

- He was the founder of the Gang!

- He and Pam were married, but a little after Jessie was born, they divorced. This is a key reason why he's not as rowdy as he used to be.

- He went to culinary school and got a degree.

- In order to get his life back together, he decided to open a diner.

- Everybody knows he still can't get over his and Pam's break up and jokes about it with him.

- In this AU (my take on the lore more shall be explained soon), his exposure to the gem's radioactive materials still causes him to go bananas like we see in CCTV, but it's more gradually and slowly. Pam, being part of Spude, soon noticed this and realized that their relationship was as good as over due to his deteriorating behavior. Thankfully, it seems that his mental state didn't fully deteriorate as he still has some sense in him.

Crow

- In this AU, Crow used to be human! However, prolonged exposure caused him to start turning into a crow. It was a long and painful process.

- He and Lola used to be part of a gang. They got lost in the park as it seemed to have kept expanding and changing as the traveled. Somewhere along the way, they found an alive Poco.

- He and Lola were taken away shortly after Poco's death to be experimented and observed. The park wanted to see if they could catch key symptoms that were causing all these werid changes within' park employees and visitors. Safe to say, he doesn't like the park.

- He eventually got out and was found by Bull. Bull was nice enough to give him a place to stay (same for Bibi, you'll see soon.)

- He, Bo, and Mr.P are all step-brothers. They had the same mother but different fathers. He is the youngest while Bo is the oldest.

- He is the sole reason why Mortis survived out in the west.

- Speaking of Mortis. They're good friends (No Time To Explain Trios, my beloved), but GOD do they fight a lot. Spike is tired of it.

- He and Bibi are roughly the same size. They share a motorbike

- He's insecure as hell. And understandably. You'll definitely think of yourself differently with such drastic changes to your body.

- Bull, Bibi, Janet, and Bonnie are at least 110% sure he has a crush on Stu. Stu is clueless.

- Somehow, he and Mortis can't stop ending up in the same places together. Retropolis? Mortis is for some reason there. Mecha Squad? Oh, hi Mortis, I guess you're part of this now.

- It wasn't as obvious in Brawlywood, but Mortis did persuade Crow into trying to act. He enjoys it.

- He and Piper are friends!

- Amber and him are friends that the others are afraid by the fact they hang out. Their trios think something might burn to the ground due to the both of them (or freeze).

- Leon looks up to Crow. He wants to be a ninja and believes Crow is one (although he's not). He wants to be "as cool as Crow" as he puts it.

- Crow and Shelly hate each other's guts. Shelly's pissed that he can commit crime while she can't cause she's stuck with the sheriff. There are other reasons, but that's just ONE.

Bibi

- I don't really have a clear idea of how the park changes her, but as for backstory, this is what I have. She was bullied for a long time for being deemed "nerdy" and liking "nerdy things.". However, one day, the bullying was taken too far. On a trip to Starr Park, her bullies managed to strand her somewhere in the park, and she got lost. Distraught and completely broken, she went to Bull's Diner (the closest place for her), begging for any type of help. At that point, she didn't want to return home to where the bullies were. So, just like Crow, he took her in under his wing.

- She's a huge fan of Melodie! (I thought the Melodie and Bibi ship was cool, but it personally wouldn't work with the hcs I have for Melodie, sorry).

- She's one of the only people not to be completely creeped out by Colette. To a degree, Bibi sees a little of her geeky self in her.

- This goes the same for Brock!

- She'd play Ninjala. No questions needed. Look the game up, and you'll see why.

Overall

- The Retropolis Gang are the Rivals of Ranger Ranchers for obvious reasons. (Spike barely helps Colt and Shelly though anyways and he could not care less for the beef).

- Barley is their therapist. They don't why or how, but he's good at advice.

- They do have a reputation for bullying some of the other brawlers. Especially if their name is Carl.

- I like to think that a lot of the more criminal stuff happens behind closed doors when the diner's empty. When it's open, they disguise to seem just like any ol' regular diner.

- The Arcade Trio regular comes to visit even Rico fucking hates all of them.

- The Undead Trio is visit lots too.
