in this scenario, Zhongli and little [Name] are running some errands in Liyue harbor, when they have a surprise run-in with good ol' uncle Tartag, whose got Teucer with him. Him and Zhongli start a conversation, and it just ends up stretching on and on and ooooon....

And it's not until they've finished and are ready to get back to their respective task that they realize that....

Both [Name] and Teucer have completely vanished.

So now, Zhongli and Tartar sauce are both having a panic attack and searching ever stand, storefront, and in between nook and crany in search of the kiddos. Meanwhile said kiddos are having the time of their lives, playing and exploring. Maybe at some pointnthey bump into the Traveller, who upon recognizing them, helps them find their way back to their respective caretakers.

Or maybe alternatively

The kiddos run into Madame Ping after getting lost, and she has them stay with her until she can figure where Papa Zhong and Uncle Kide (Childe) can be found. And in the meanwhile the two get more playmates in the form of Yiaoyiao, and mayyyyybe Guoba (and/or Xiangling? Maybe they help her with her cooking lol).

I'm stupid. Really fucking stupid. I hate to admit it but sometimes it's true: I suffer from morbid stupidity and I don't think there's a cure.

I have the useless hobby of makeup. I usually go out with the basic makeup shit. You know, eyelashes, eye shadow, lipistic and contacts. But at home I like to paint some weird ass crap on my face which takes me a shit lot of time. I decided to do that yesterday anD I FINISHED AT TWO IN THE FUCKING MORNING!!?!?!!!? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDING ME?!?! Why do I do this to myself? I have  history  of the first period for god's sake!!!!! Not that I really need to study but…

Diana seemed to notice that I was a living zombie and bought me a Monster. My favorite flavor!!! That's so nice of her. She is generally nice but this was fucking extra nicey!!! God she 's great. No idea why Dee hates her so much!!!! I mean he hates pretty much everyone but especially her lol. Talking about him he gave me an out of P.E to sleep??? i HATED that, honestly. i get that they were striving to depict him as pathetic as possible but that also removed what little agency/rebellion he still had in him. this showed that yea he's a coward (though tbf what kind of freak wouldn't run after keying someone's car and get caught lol) but he's not completely beaten down yet. also makes his resilience despite his many failures later on FAR more engaging imo.

aaaand that, kids, how one of the most atrocious trashfire published in the last 5 years began.

just kiding but barely!! oh lord, rereading the first chapter again after so long still gives me chills, even with all the interruptions (running to tumblr for commentary, that hour spent scrolling through twitter, etc). i cannot stress enough how much, back when i was a tokyorev hardcore stan, this journey of takemitchy to save the one (1) girlfriend he had all the way back in junior high was gripping, full of excitement, rich and colourful of characters, and even when shit happens and you know they might get reset with the next time leap, there was a genuine tension because this dude can't do shit right. and not for lack of trying or even capabilities either!

the first several arcs of tokyorev was, as i remember them, could be argued not only a study of character (predomenantly takemitchy's) but also a reflection of how much people's lives were tangled with one another. and not in the last chapter's wacky "oh we've all met and crossed paths before" way, no -- it was a story of butterfly effect in people. so after the first few times, once you got the hang of the story's flow, with every success takemitchy gain in the past, you get both excited and terrified to see how it translates into the future. like!!! this was my shit exactly for that reason!

well now am excited to go through with my reread (familiar, already knows it's good up to the point i dropped it yesteryear) and terrified (oh god the final arc is coming). so there's that i guess. 😭

so, funny story I just got today, lol.

so I'm taking Japanese lessons on the Duolingo app on my phone, and I had this idea of, instead of typing the answers, I would use the speech-to-text option so I could practice both my English and Japanese accents more effectively (yes, English as well because it's not my first language).

is it effective ? I'd say it does but not always, as you may know voice recognition isn't always accurate but the good thing is that as long as you have Japanese among the chosen languages it can recognize what you said, even written in kanji ! however as I have said it sometimes can make some mistakes, and I've seen two mistakes that are actually funny, to me.

the first one is to translate "it's a dog" in Japanese, which the answer is "inu desu", pretty simple, right ? well guess what the speech-to-text actually wrote...
