What's interesting is, Earth is always changing, we just take the state we see it in for granted because from the human pov and timescale, it really can appear like a static place that we must preserve in a specific condition. But it's not really like that if you think about it, and even after a sudden mass extinction event this planet would probably eventually become just as if not more diverse than now as long as a few cells are left alive, and it's probably happened countless times throughout the universe on countless planets. But I still think we should try to be more symbiotic with the species we share this place and time with, why? idk. It just seems like the right thing to do as the species with the hands lol. Also they're all so cool and bring me joy, at the very least we teach each other about life in a way

I think a lot a shit ton about the topic still (in a sane way lmao)#and this is why I laugh just a little at human made total extinction in media #It seems very very hard to do and borderline narcissistic as a species to think we're some kind of ender! we're not!#cheetahs for example became genetically diverse after being endangered left them with a very small gene pool #Large organisms are diverse today when at one point there were like 5 species of large animals left due to a mass extinction event #lol I need that paleohistory moot to help me (earthshine lol??)#just saying. Be kind to other beings. But don't worry/guilt yourself into a despair over things you have no control over #it's interesting that everything dies/ends on a micro and macro scale..
