Just saw a logitech g25 selling for R$1600 (~US$300) (wheel, pedals, stick shift and a DIY plywood cockpit)
How do I kill captalism???? Also is there anything cheaper than that? (That is worth buying)
That's Brazilian Reals, right? (Damn, you Brazilians keep it so gangsta even your currency is real.)
I cannot offer advice on killing capitalism but I can offer advice on regulations! And one way to regulate high prices is through supply and demand, i.e. by not paying them.
Sim racing wheels -well these Logitechs anyway given their durability and old age- are something you absolutely want to buy used, so keep your eyes peeled on Listadecraig or whatever your local classifieds are: it may take time but some will pop up either close enough to you or able to ship and if you take your time and hedge your bets you're gonna strike a deal of some sort.
I mean, even capping our budget at R$1000 (at the edge of reasonable but still within it imo) hopping on OLX I found some 20 G27s. But oddly enough, only one G25? That's weird! I mean, there's like 10 between G29 and G920 (respectively, PS and Xbox oriented version of the same PC-compatible wheel - while they're not much better than the G27 and the shifter isn't included, both are newer and have more buttons and are thus valued more). Maybe the G25 is rare in Brazil for some reason, maybe it was never sold there? Idk. Point is, you may be better off looking for a G27 - I've seen one as low as R$650. Which, you know, I paid mine the equivalent of 425, but that was a bargain I had to hunt for months, and Brazil seems to be quite a different market. I don't know what your zone is and what shipping costs are like in your country but I would personally aim at R$800 - but that's mainly because it's half the G25 you found and I am someone that spite could push through mountains. You may be able to aim for even lower: you're gonna know your used markets the best, so check them yourself and I assure you you'll find a good deal at some point.
Sincerely wish you the best of luck, happy hunting!

I'm having realizations about why people drive manuals and how that choice pertains to much of car culture and many misconceptions about it.
I'm an amab genderqueer enby who's been into cars and car culture for about 15 years now, give or take a few. While I have been in a male dominated culture and passed while in it, I don't consider myself "one of the boys" so my feelings may not be applicable to all or even a representative sample of the average gearhead.
I don't have the budget for a real life racecar, but for about 300 US dollaroonies, I was able to get myself a pretty decent fake one. A Logitech racing wheel shifter, and a copy of Assetto Corsa. It took me a while to get the hang of stick shift. I was pretty reliably destroying gearboxes and blowing up engines, but after a day or three of practice I got pretty good and I noticed something driving up and down the same simulated stretch of California Coast.
Driving a manual transmission feels nice.
You're coming up to 5000 rpm and you shoonk in the clutch, and shonk off of the gas, chunkachunk the gear lever from second into third and kshonk off of the clutch and onto the gas again and it just feels good. Like there was this instant in my little Daihatsu Mira when I executed a gear shift and suddenly, just like the gear lever, something clicked into place in my brain.
I imagine it's the same reason some people hand grind coffee beans. It's not for everyone, but it's for some people. I think a lot of people assume that people do this sort of stuff for the attention and approval of others, and there are definitely some who do, but I think the main reason people do it is because it makes them happy. It's kinda why I like brewing tea and doodling. I enjoy the process, not just the product. It's why many people who don't really like cars don't get it, and I don't blame them. You aren't into cars the same way I'm not into other fandoms. You are required to have a car because of our car-centric infrastructure and I don't think everyone should have to have a car, and we should have robust public transit, but that's a different discussion.
I think people drive manuals because it feels nice to the, and there are some people who feel guilty about doing "selfish" things that make them happy, so they try to have their happy thing become a status symbol. "I'm better than you because I grind my coffee beans and drive stick shift." And here is where we get to the toxic masculinity that is so hard to root out from car culture because toxic masculinity has to create competition and hierarchies. That is inherent to toxic masculinity in a way that it isn't inherent to car culture. But because toxic masculinity has been welded onto car culture, car culture becomes masculinist, elitist, and toxic out of a discomfort and insecurity with just being happy with your little gizmo. Because at its core, car culture, just like any hobby, is about making yourself happy.
And here's the thing. Cars can be a girl thing. Cars and car culture wouldn't be a thing without Bertha Benz, an absolute badass of a woman and my fucking hero. I'm so desperate to get women and femmes to try car culture because I, as someone who doesn't feel at all masculine, feel really alone in this culture around a thing I love, and I at least want others to try it out and see if they like it, and maybe we can cut off that nasty chunk of toxic masculinity and just be happy with our little gizmos.
Here's my little digital gizmo.

Buckle Up for Realism: A Review of the Logitech G923 TrueForce Sim Racing Wheel
Gearheads, listen up! Do you crave the thrill of the racetrack without leaving your living room? The Logitech G923 TrueForce Sim Racing Wheel might be your ticket to adrenaline-pumping immersion. We put it through its paces, and here's the verdict:
Feel the Road, Not Just the Rumble:
This wheel isn't your average controller vibrator. TrueForce technology delivers mind-blowing detail, simulating everything from tire grip to suspension feedback. You'll feel the car losing traction, the rumble of curbs, and the satisfying weight transfer through corners – all with incredible realism. It's like having a direct line to the road beneath your virtual tires!
Premium Feel, Precise Control:
The leather-wrapped wheel feels luxurious in your hands, and the metal shifter paddles offer satisfyingly crisp throws. The programmable LED indicator strip keeps you in the zone, displaying RPMs, gear selection, and more. Plus, the customizable buttons let you fine-tune your setup for ultimate control.
Immersion Amplified:
The G923 goes beyond the wheel. The included pedals offer realistic brake and throttle resistance, further blurring the line between virtual and real. We especially loved the progressive brake feel, adjustable pedal faces and clutch pedal for advanced racing sims.
A Few Things to Consider:
Sim Racing Ready: This isn't a casual gaming accessory. It's best suited for dedicated sim racers who value realism and precision. Consider your budget and commitment level before diving in. Space Requirements: This setup needs room. Make sure you have a sturdy desk or racing rig to mount the wheel and pedals comfortably. PC or Console Compatibility: Check compatibility with your preferred platform before purchasing.
Overall Verdict:
If you're a sim racing enthusiast seeking an immersive and realistic experience, the Logitech G923 TrueForce Sim Racing Wheel is a game-changer. Its TrueForce technology, premium materials, and customizable features elevate your virtual driving to a whole new level. Just remember the investment, space requirements, and compatibility before hitting the virtual gas pedal.
Have you taken the G923 for a spin? Share your racing setup pics and favorite sim games in the comments!
