Laigan oneshot - "I've got you..."

Logan was wheezing and shaking, trying to control his breath. He somehow managed to get separated from the group when he was busy trying to shoot down some phantoms. Now he had no idea where they were. He hid himself in a custodian closet, seeing the shadows of phantoms from under the doorway.

I just need to stay calm.. don't freak out. he tried telling himself, but that was so much easier said than done. He was gripping his shotgun, only 2 bullets remaining, and he had also pulled out his drop point pocketknife that Ashlyn had lent him for emergencies.

I just need to control my breathing... Ya... They'll find you eventually. Or you'll wake up and tell them in the morning where to find you. You'll be ok. It'll all be ok- AHH!

His calming ritual was interrupted by a loud banging on the door. The phantoms found him?! How?! Was his breathing too loud, was he smelling awful from how much he was sweating?!

Bang! Boof! Barge!

The door swung open, and he was greeted with a phantom, so close. Logan has never been so close to a living phantom. If he wasn't absolutely terrified, he would've gagged at its rancid stench.

Logan screamed out a battle cry he's been practicing, tightly closed his eyes, and lunged. The phantom also lunged forward as well, and Logan slashed at the phantom with the knife and used the butt of his shotgun to push it back.

Once he managed to push the phantom back, Logan took the opportunity to run for it. Maybe he could outrun it and get to spare the bullets he had left for emergencies.

Seriously, Logan?! Isn't this an emergency!? one half of his brain yelled.

Maybe a bigger emergency! the other half argued.

The phantom grabbed one of Logan's shoulder, claws digging into his skin. Logan's voice was lost, and he couldn't bring himself to even make a squeak. Why is he frozen? Move, move!

Right when Logan was ready to be killed, he heard a loud bang! right around the corner, feeling a bullet zoom past his face. He turned and saw the phantom's head explode before it collapsed. He then felt a hand grab his arm, a scream rising from Logan's throat, and he turned to try and attack whoever, whatever it was.

He clawed at the skin of his new attacker, deciding now he wouldn't go down without a fight. He thrust his knife forward, feeling the hand grab his wrist, followed by, "Logan!"

He looks up and sees who was there.

Aiden, smiling nervously as he was grabbing Logan's wrists. "Calm down, it's just me!"

Logan was shaking and breathing rapidly before his breath hitched and he let out a sob.

"OH THANK GOD!"

Aiden was caught off guard by Logan's exclamation, and he quickly put his hand over Logan's mouth. "Haha, we have to stay quiet! I don't have many bullets left!" Aiden said with a friendly smile. In truth, he'd be happy to attract more phantoms, for the thrill of it all, but Logan wasn't in the right space for that.

"I thought I was going to die!" Logan cried, his voice muffled by Aiden's hand. His tears spilled down his cheeks and Aiden could even feel Logan's saliva. Luckily Aiden was a germaphobe or anything.

Aiden brought Logan to a more empty, dark, narrow hallway, a better place to hide until Logan managed to calm down.

Aiden was awful at comforting people, and someone as emotional as Logan... ya, he was definitely not qualified.

"Um, uh.. haha, it'll be fine, Logan!" Aiden said, ruffling Logan's hair. "You're ok now! So, uh..."

Logan had to take off his glasses and stare at the ground. He wasn't crying as loudly, but he was still crying silent tears. shaking as his body was still in shock from his near-death experience.

Aiden pauses from his awful attempt at comfort and stared at Logan before looking at his own hand.

"It'll be ok, Ben," Aiden offered, putting a hand on his cousin's shoulder.

Ben silently shook his head, shaking from a mixture of rage and sorrow.

Aiden pat Ben's back before Ben leaned in and Aiden wrapped his arms around his cousin.

...

Right. Aiden wasn't awful at comfort. He just needed to tune in to the person's emotion. Still difficult, but...

Aiden put his hand on Logan's shoulder. "It's OK," Aiden said quietly, rubbing his lower back. "You're safe now."

Logan sniffles and rubs his eyes, leaning onto Aiden's shoulder. Aiden had a surprisingly comforting touch. Or maybe Logan was just desperate for comfort right now.

Aiden wrapped his arms around Logan's shoulders, placing his hand behind his head.

"I've got you... I've got you..."

Sleeping/cuddling with Aiden is a very humbling experience.

He watches tiktoks with you because he thinks it’s a bonding experience while you guys snuggle. (just ignore his fyp it’s cursed…)

Before you guys cuddle, you have to force him to take his contacts out because every cuddle sesh ends up with the two of you falling asleep.

But when he sleeps with them in his eyes become all dried when he wakes up.

Like Ashlyn, he drools… but not just a small bit like the ginger. He’s drooling fucking RIVERS.

He moves about in his sleep, like a lot. And when he settles, it’s only for like a maximum of 4 mins before he’s squirming around like a worm again.

BLANKET HOG ALERT!! WEE WOO WEE WOO. If you ever wake up cold, you’re gonna turn to see Aiden with YOUR OWN blanket cuddling up with the whole damn blanket cuz he srsly subconsciously wrapped himself a cocoon.

When you guys are cozying up together, he’s literally in top of you like the human version of a weighted comforter.

And if you feel suffocated with him on top of you, he’s pressed up to your like a leech looking for affection. I’m talking limbs tangled together and every thing.

You weren’t expecting any of this to happen. One minute you were all fighting off a phantom that was about to get inside the house while the others ran off to search for the keys for the jeep, and then suddenly you were grabbed by your face by some phantom. You hit it in its ribcage making it thrash around, which got you here, to this moment right now.

Your eyes, or where they used to be stung, you saw nothing but darkness and heard movement around you. You sob, screaming in pain which alerted the others inside the house. Everyone quickly got out of the house with the keys in hand and froze when they saw the gruesome scene in front of them. Some gagged, some threw up but they quickly got you inside the jeep and sped to the graveyard. “Shit, Shit..” You say and hold onto someones arm. The person holds you close and another person holds your hand. “Shh.. everything will be okay..” You recognize the voice as Taylor and just sob, praying for this torturous night to be over. There was blood everywhere on your face, you were wondering how you didn’t pass out from the pain and blood loss already. There was a lot of yelling and commotion in the car which you couldn’t quite understand because of the buzzing noise in your head. You feel your head getting heavy, your consciousness slipping from your fingers. Everyone yells your name, trying to shake you awake but you feel your body fall onto someone, not remembering what happened after that.

You jolt awake, your whole body shaking and covered in sweat. Your head was pounding and it felt like you were getting shot in the head over and over again. The area around your eyes felt numb and tingly, which you chose to ignore and take a shower. You sob slightly, hoping that everything that happened was just a bad dream. You instantly get whipped out of your thought when you hear your bell ringing like crazy. You sigh, getting changed into some comfortable clothes and walk downstairs to open the door. You were alone, your parents going on buiseness trips for as long as you could remember. But that’s a story for another day.

You immediately get jumped by Taylor who pulled you into a bone crushing hug, the others joining in. You get hoisted up by Ashlyn as the others lay down on the large bean bag you have in your living room. Ben lays down first, you next to him with Aiden on top of you and buried his face into your chest. Ash and Taylor held onto your side, and Logan who got into the pit of cuddles last, closed rhe blinds and turned on his playlist on a low volume and joined in on the fun. He layed down on ben, your head resting on Logans stomach. You layed there looking at the ceiling, thinking about last nights events. “I should’ve been more careful.” You think to yourself and sigh, earning the attention of Aiden and Ash. “Hey sunshine, what’s wrong?” Aiden asks, oh and yes, he has been calling you sunshine ever since you were paired up to do the project for some unknown reason. “Yeah, is it about last night?” Ash asks and rubs circles around your waist with her thumb.

You shrug slightly not even knowing how you feel. Yes you were scared and angry about what happened, but you can’t imagine how they must’ve felt after seeing you in such a state. “I just.. I don’t know.. I feel like I could’ve done better. Now I’m going to be a burden every time you will want to make a plan.” Ash looks at you sympathetically, the whole conversation catching the interest of Tyler and Logan. Logan perks up; “Hey, you’re not a burden. The only thing you are is brave. I don’t think any of us would be as strong as you in your situation.” He says and Tyler nods along; “Yeah, we all admire you for your bravery, and don’t worry we will help you pull through, don’t you ever think we will leave you behind.” He says and you smile, getting a warm feeling in your stomach. Your eyes slowly flutter closed. With a yawn you say one last thing before falling asleep; “Thanks guys, I’m grateful to have you all.”

in every kind of way you are, adding your careful personality, you’re always known as a person or a friend who likes to take care of eachother. the fact that you’re a sociable person, not mentioning how you’re a pretty good cooker, makes it even better. since (almost) all of the person in the gang are stubborn and only focuses on the phantom realm, barely taking care of themselves, you, who ARE LOWKEY DONE OF THEIR DEPRESSING ATTITUDE decided to.. try and take things more careful.

“ah, i tried making some meatball dumplings as the starter. for the main i made jjajangmyeon with the side of kimchi and mozzarella corn! aaand- logan helped me while making this ice mango and sago. please dig in everyone!” foods were laid on the table with a glam presentation. anyone who sees it could immediately drool as their appetite will boost.

aiden and taylor were practically drooling as they stared into the food with shining eyes. while ashlyn, tyler, ben and logan tried to hold their drool and act from being so hungry. i mean, who could you blame when you’ve all been stuck in a phantom realm for days and haven’t got any… gorgeous food (other than that delicious sandwich that ashlyn’s parents made).

“thankyou y/n!” “mmm looks delicious..” “best day of my life for real!” “smells amazing..” all whispers of appreciations were heard until.. “thankyou for making these mom!” the word mom came out of nowhere as aiden blurted it out unconsciously. “oops-“ he soon realised what he just said as the table went quiet, but the sound of your laugh came trailing. “no worries, it’s fine totally! i guess i do act like your mom sometimes..” everyone got some jjajangmyeon with either kimchi or corn with mozzarella and meatball dumplings.

everytime you all succeed a mission, whether in the phantom realm or real world, you always make them special food, mostly taiwanese and korean, for a feast.

though, sometimes, when everyone’s having a rough day at school, you’d make them some treats.

“ughh.. have you guys done that 50 math questions? it’s literally due by tomorrow…” aiden slumped on the cafeteria table, following ashlyn who’s already burried her face in her crossed arms. “literally forgot ‘bout those..” tyler rested his head on his hand while ben wrote something on his notebook, “i haven’t touched my math book since monday”. seeing what ben has written, taylor answered, “relatable” as she faceslaped herself. while logan, “i don’t think i’ll survive if i do all of them today..” he continued eating his lunch.

“i don’t even understand or know what’s it about…” you looked at them, trying to remember what you’ve learned. “i know right… ughh..” taylor closed her eyes as she tried to calm her mind down. but the busy background noise made it seem impossible.

the others were groaning or sighing about how complicated all of these were when you pulled out a fancy container. hearing the zip from your bag and somehting being placed on the table made aiden perked up to see what is it.

“ooh, what’s that y/n?” he looked closely while the others started to gain their focus on it. “well.. since it’s been bad lately.. i decided to make us some tteok and songpyeom.. my mom used to make these for me when i was younger. and it instantly lit up my day” you smiled, remembering the memories you’ve made.

“oooh! sounds yummy” everyone looked into the container as you opened it. “here, have some! i made sure all of us would get atleast 3” you passed the container to everyone as they chose which one they’d like.

“mmmm! i think the songpyeom fits my taste more” taylor hummed as she ate the snack. “same here” answered ashlyn, sounding grateful that you’ve made this for all of them. “i’m more to the savoury so tteok is better for me” logan pulled his opinion out as ben nodded, agreeing logan. “well- i think i’d have to agree with logan” tyler continued eating his tteok peacefully.

you were grateful that they all loved the foods you made. aiden shot a playful grin before saying, “well.. i think it’s understandable if we call you mom now! ehhe” hearing that made you laugh “well.. i don’t really mind either-“ “it totally suits you y/n!” taylor continued eating the snacks you made as aiden spammed “mom mom mom mom mom” in the background noise, earning a shhh from the group after a while.

you all were panting from the rough and tiring practice you’ve had with ashlyn’s parents. all of you definitely needed something to boost your energy. you scrambled through your bag to find a thermos and small plastic cups (omg your efforts bruh) for all of you to take atleast a sip.

“look at what i brought, everyone!” you called for their attention as they all perked up at your direction. “what’s for today, mom?” taylor joked before chuckling. “well.. i made us some alishan tea who could accelerate metabolism” you smiled while pouring some in each cup. “oooh! that’s cool!” aiden stared at you pouring in the tea. “i think i’ve heard of it before somewhere..” ashlyn mumbled, secretly excited to taste it.

soon, you handed each cups for everyone to take. “thankyou y/n!” all of them answered. each of them took a sip of the tea and clearly most of them liked it. you let out a relieved breath as soon as you see their expression turned into happy and not disgust. “sooo.. how is it?” you asked in curiosity. “it’s naturally sweet, cool!” “yummy, mom” “just like my taste” they all answered differently but none of them answered negatively. you were happy how they all liked them.

“it’s amazing, thanks mom” ashlyn answered too. but when she did, her mom was walking towards your direction and was a bit shocked when she heard it. soon, ashlyn noticed her mom coming by and realised what she just said. “w-wait it’s not like that-! she’s just acting like our mom in the group but that doesn’t mean i’m replacing you-“ she explained, hurriedly. scared that her mom will think of something else.

but her mom only chuckled as she calmed ashlyn down. “i get it don’t worry.. i was just messing around!” she hugged ashlyn to reassure her.

you’re glad that this ‘mom’ thing doesn’t make any trouble. you’re actually happy of it. i guess being the mom of the group isn’t so bad after all, huh?

He kept mumbling I'm sorry while you stare blankly in the ceiling and coughing up blood but you're still alive your holding his other arm

Ben put him aside and starting to heal you when ben took out the bullet in you're chest you can hear someone is vomiting

You're eye sight is starting to blur

You jolted from the sound of the alarm clock when you say up properly you can feel the sting in your chest

When you got up and go to the bad room the door was suddenly bust open you check who it was and it revealed

"i know i should probably knock in your door i didn't mean to but are you ok i didn't mean to do that iwasjustinapanicididntnoticeyourunningthereimsosorry I'm sorry-"

You said weakly creasing his cheeks he holds you tightly while you whine that it hurts

"I'm sorry i didn't mean to squeeze you like that"

He said while chuckling

You said while having a small smile

He needed you but once he got there he saw you getting biten by it he heard you're crying voice

He attack the phantom while you're arm is still on its mouth

You can hear and feel you're arm is gonna pop

Ben tried to pull it by the head only for you to scream more

He had nothing in him no flashlight, no weapon

Then he saw your hand with a bat he wanted to speak but some of him is closing his mouth

But he doesn't want to see you suffer you're already crying

"(name)!...gi...give me the b-bat!"

He said while struggling you gave him the bat but now you can feel your bones crushed when he started to beat the shit out of the phantom

You're whole arm was torn off

You scream and scream and cried he finally killed the phantom but when he looked at you you have no arm

His eyes are widen and went to you quickly his mind starting to panic he can see you crying he ripped part of his shirt and covered your arm

He finally patch you up and you guys were on the bus

"looks like i only have one arm to use in realm"

He holds you tightly

"i love you, please don't leave me.."

You smiled happy to hear his voice hugging him more
