October 21, 2022 - Spotted Bush Warbler (Locustella thoracica) Found in parts of central China and the Himalayas, these bush warblers live in scrubby thickets, reedbeds, wet meadows, and other grassy areas. Usually foraging alone on or near the ground in dense vegetation, they feed on insects. They build deep cup-shaped nests, that are sometimes domed, from coarse grasses and a few feathers, well hidden in grasses or ferns. Females lay clutches of three or four eggs.
