After doing a presentation on a food profile for one of my Traditional Chinese Medicine classes, it pushed me to do my “What’s in my kitchen?” series. 🔪🍴🥄🥣 I’ve been holding out on doing this series for quite a while. I guess that project was just the motivation I needed! 🔪🍴🥄🥣 This series is going to be about foods/herbs that I eat/use and are possibly common in your homes. Lets get back to water for a bit and allow me to share. Even though water is my preferred beverage I often struggle with keeping up with my appropriate amount of water like I shared in a previous post. . To find out if you need some more water in your life check out for these signs and symptoms 💧Dark urine 💧Feeling thirsty duh....but not everybody gets this sensation all the time 💧Headaches 💧Dry skin 💧Muscle cramps and muscle fatigue 💧Low blood pressure 💧Decreased sweat or clammy skin when exercising 💧More than usual cravings for sweet and sugary foods 💧Bad breath....is this motivation enough lol . Work your way to about 1/3 to 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day. . Oh and for every 8oz non-water or non-herbal tea beverage you drink add another 8 oz of water or herbal tea. 💧Wwaaatteerr.....I need wwaaatteerr💧 After these 4+ miles (walked some and ran some) this Doc needs some water! 💧 I usually start my day with some water and throughout my day my beverage of choice is water. 💧 On some days it's easy for me to get my adequate amount of water intake and sometimes I fall really short.... especially on days when I don't workout. 💧 I like to add lemon to my water as well (helps me drink more). 💧 A glass of water with some lemon in the morning can... 💧kick start your digestion, 💧increase your metabolism, 💧adds hydration for your skin (glow) .
