What Makes Granada’s Alhambra Palace So Magical?
The palace of Alhambra located in is a palace Granada, Andalusia, Spain is a magnificent palace with all the fineries of a royal living. Málaga is the closest international airport to Granada (125 KM) and after checking into a hotel there, you may rent a car to visit the palace. We get to read about this palace in many works of literature like ''The Moor's Last Sigh'' (by Salman Rushdie), ''The Constant Princess'' (by Philippa Gregory), ''The Accidental'' (by Ali Smith) and quite a few other novels. George Bernard Shaw's play ''Man and Superman'' too has the mention of this palace.
This palace has a lot of significance in the world of music too. The filmmaker Christopher Nupen filmed ''The song of the guitar at the Alhambra'' in this palace. This song was based on the Spanish guitarist, Andrés Segovia. This hour long program, which was presented in 1976, had an orchestral piece ''Alhambra Fantasy'' composed by the British composer Julian Anderson. The Canadian singer and composer Loreena McKennitt performed live at the Alhambra Palace in 2006. This palace has importance in many rock bands and music compositions since 1705 A.D.
This palace has a lot of importance in the movies too. The movie buffs who have watched ''Assassin's Creed'' might remember the ''The court of the Lions.'' This is the main courtyard in the heart of the Alhambra. You will find the same building in the animated film ''Tad Jones: The Hero Returns.'' There are other films by Spanish director Juan Bautista, which revolve around the central theme of this palace.
The History of this palace
This palace has its own charm and hence the visitors find it very magical and inviting.  Among medieval palaces, it is very difficult to find this kind of sophisticated planning, and complex decorative ceilings and walls. The layout of the gardens is truly mesmerising and the fountains are a delight to watch.
This palace which is an abbreviation of the Arabic name Qal’at al-Hamra was originally constructed as a small fortress in 889 A.D. Later, between 1232-1492 A.D. Nasrid emir Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar of Nasrid Dynasty initially built the palace. In 1333 Yusuf I, the Sultan of Granada converted it into a royal palace. In 1492, this palace became the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella. In 1526 Charles I & V became the owner of this palace and wanted to renovate it further. However, that work was not completed.
Architecture of the palace
This vastness of this palace can be calculated with the fact that 1,730 meters of walls and thirty towers of varying size enclose this palace which actually is almost as big as a city.  This palace is spread across nearly 26 acres of lush greenery which include structures with three distinct purposes. The first one was known as the citadel, ‘’Alcazaba’’ which was the residence for the ruler and his close family, the second structure consisted of the barracks for the elite guards and the third place was an area called medina (or the city). There were four main gates in the palace and the third area was located near the Puerta del Vino (Wine Gate). In this part of the palace, the court officials had their abodes and working areas.
Even today, if we visit this place, the architecture will mesmerise us. The intricate work on the walls and the domes, the beautiful artefacts, chandeliers, windows and other parts of the palace will make us feel like a king. The safety of the royals was of utmost importance. Even though the different parts of the complex were connected by royal paths, gardens and gates, if there was any kind of threat, then all the three parts could be blocked individually ensuring the safety of the residents of that block.
One will need to visit this palace to experience the grandeur and aura of it.

Are aiming to purchase a home or house in the Costa Brava region of Spain?
youtube
Are aiming to acquire a residential or commercial property or house in the Costa Brava area of Spain? There are lots of types of residential properties available including rental properties, apartment or condos, condominiums, farmhouses, waterfront villas, fincas as well as homes, both new and also old, throughout the area and the timing could not be better. The Costa Brava was the first of the Spanish "container and also spade" resorts that started the major UK fascination with Spanish holidays, nonetheless this surge in appeal was gone along with by a surge in high rise structure to accommodate the vacationers causing a badly blighted landscape with hardly an inch of coast left untainted in the major tourism areas - this really led to modified structure policies in Spain that makes it difficult to happen again anywhere on Spains coasts. houses for sale miami Over the last couple of years the local government in this region have been toiling hard to return the area to the normally sturdy "wild coastline" of Spain and have made major headway in overhauling this resort area right into an once again beautiful Spanish holiday destination (this utilized to be the location that the Spaniards made use of for holidays!).Due to the overdeveloped track record the residential or commercial property rates in the Costa Brava have actually not risen as high as some of the various other regions as well as therefore currently is the moment for sensible financiers to be considering acquiring (or holidaying) around.Keep in mind nonetheless the all-time low rates that were offered in Spain are lengthy gone, rates in the Costa Brava area are cheaper but they are not deal basement! The main coastal locations of the Costa Brava are Roses, Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, Pineda, Santa Susana, Calella, Malgrat and Blanes. Each supplies an unique experience on Spains "wild coastline" in addition to large amounts on residences within walking range of remote and captivating coastlines.Ways to get there;.Barcelona International Flight terminal (BCN) lies just south-west of the Costa Brava in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat.Girona International Flight terminal (GRO) is the Costa Brava's resident airport terminal, & is situated some 40 km from the shore & 12 kilometres from Girona itself. There are lots of residential property firms using affordable evaluation journeys to the Costa Brava to take a look at there estate listings, this could be an extremely affordable method to experience the charm of the region. Offers readily available are in the series of 50-100 each for a 3-5 field trip including hotels as well as trips!

Explore the Costa Brava | Traveldudes.org
This article will look to show you all you need to know about the Costa Brava, so that you could explore it whenever you are next in Barcelona.
All the places are a short drive away from Barcelona and are accessible by buses and trains. Of course, it goes without saying that there will be changes to public transport schedules and regulations in adherence to the current health situation.
Therefore we suggest checking in advance before making concrete plans to explore the Costa Brava, but this article should get the ball rolling!
  Lloret de Mar
First up is Lloret de Mar, which is found some 50 miles away from Barcelona, and 25 miles from Girona. With plenty of cultural sites, gardens and beaches, it is easily one of the most popular locations on the Costa Brava. With history dating back to Roman times, this spot is a great destination for history lovers, who wish to be by the beach when on holiday in Catalonia. Some of the must-see sites are the Gothic Church of Sant Romà and the Medieval Caste of Sant Joan, both of which are well preserved, with the latter offering some amazing views of the Costa Brava. As for beaches, the Lloret Beach is the main one, running 1,630 metres and is made of sand, making it the most popular in this town. However, there are also the Fenals, Sa Boadella and Santa Cristina beaches that are all accredited with the blue flag seal of quality, offering slightly quieter places to relax.
  Tossa de Mar
Next on the list, found some 60 miles from Barcelona, is Tossa de Mar. This is one of the most historic places on the Costa Brava, with clear links back to the Neolithic period (some 12,000 years ago!). The main economic industry found here, other than tourism, is fishing- we suggest trying any locally caught fish at one of the many restaurants found here. As for other things to do in Tossa de Mar, you should check out the Roman Villa of Ametllers, a Roman villa that you can visit the ruins of! Also, there is a ‘Walled-in Old Town’ here, which dates back to the 14th century. You can visit here and see the medieval hospital, the Municipal museum and some churches. After doing all this, you can relax on the Tossa Beach or the Mar Menuda, which offers some fantastic sports facilities for you!
  Begur
A slightly smaller place for you to explore on the Costa Brava is Begur. Home to some 4,000 locals, this village has a very traditional Catalan feel to it, with low-rise buildings that lead towards the sea. There are more historical sites here, with the main one being the Castle of Begur, which was constructed in the Medieval period, some 400 years ago! As for beaches, the Sa Riera, Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna are the standouts here for you to go and relax after spending time wandering around the wonderful streets.
  L’Escala
Another small fishing town found on the Costa Brava, is L’Escala. Situated between the Gulf of Roses and Cala Montgó, this spot is a more secluded choice but no less beautiful! This place is known for its anchovies and must be tried in one of the restaurants or bars of L’Escala. In keeping with its fishing heritage, there is the Alfolí de la Sal, a 17th Century warehouse that stored all the salt needed to preserve the fish caught here! In addition to this, you should check out the ruins of Empúries, which date back to 580BC.
  Cadaqués
The last on the list, is one of the most well-known spots along the Costa Brava, Cadaqués. Once frequented by the likes of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, visiting here will help you understand just why this place is so popular- you’ll even be able to visit Dalís house here! One of the most interesting parts of this town’s history is that in the early 20th Century, many of its inhabitants went to Cuba in search for economic gain; something they would be able to achieve. Upon returning to Cadaqués, these people would build Cuban style houses and bars in homage to Habana life, you can still visit these spots nowadays. Discover Cadaqués, just a 2hr 30min drive from Barcelona, fall in love with the Costa Brava whilst you’re here or at any of the aforementioned spots!

The best things to do and see in Ronda in a day
Southern Spain has been one of the most popular vacation destinations. Ronda is popular among poets. The town is situated on a rocky outcrop surrounded by lush, fertile plain and gives a perfect environment to show artistic skills. It is easy to reach Ronda from Marbella or Malaga for a day trip. Ronda is located in a mountainous region and is divided into two parts by the Guadalevin River that runs through the city. The old town is separated from the new town by three bridges. The most popular new bridge is the Puente Nuevo. The best things to do and see in Ronda on a day trip are listed here.
Puente Nuevo (New Bridge)
It is the most iconic landmark of this small town. The bridge is about 120 meters deep and divides the city into two parts. It took about 42 years to complete and the bridge dates back to 1751.
Mina Secreta (Secret Mine)
This secret military structure was built by the Muslim King. The structure was rumored to have hidden palaces and secret bathing chambers for queens. There are wide steps carved in a zigzag pattern to reach the mine. The mine is an extraordinary and well-preserved structure in Ronda. At the bottom of the mine, you can find a crystal clear stream of turquoise water.
La Casa Del Rey Moro and La Mina
It is another popular sight in Ronda. It was the house of a Moorish King and was built in the eighteenth century with Moorish style gardens. The real attraction is water mine carved out of the bare rock in the 1800s as a way of getting water to the city when the city was seized by Christian armies. After going down through 300 steps and a couple of caverns, you will emerge at the foot of the gorge on the banks of the river. It is a beautiful place.
Plaza de Toros
Plaza de Toros refers to the bull ring in Ronda. It is worth visiting. Bullfighting is popular in Andalucía. If you want to know about the culture of bullfighting in this region, you should spend some time in the ring. It was built in the eighteenth century and was founded by the Royal Cavalry of Ronda. The bullring has a museum consisting of interesting and insightful exhibits on the history of bullfighting. Just outside there is the Reserva Tauro Ronda farm where you can learn more about the breeding of bulls.
Palacio de Mondragon
This palace is a combination of Moorish and Christian architecture. Only a part of the original Moorish architecture remains in the palace because the palace was remodeled in 1491. You can view the exposed decorative carvings and tiles, courtyards, and water gardens at the rear of the palace that is a small replica of one in the Alhambra.
Arab Baths
You can see Moorish baths in Andalucía, but Ronda is the best place to see. The entire complex is well preserved and you can visit there from above and within to get a real sense of the working parts of a Moorish bath in the eleventh century. Moorish people used steam for cleaning and purifying before entering the mosque. There were two small cold pools for cooling the blood and gossiping with each other before entering into the hot rooms.
Enjoy your Lloret de Mar and write your own travel itinerary by booking villas with private pool.

Torre Cap d’Or
