I voted early in this election and dropped off my ballot at my local polling place today in person. It is beyond important not just to vote in our primary and general elections, but also for our local and community government officials and representatives. These are the people who will be helping us build a better tomorrow in our local communities. PLEASE exercise your right to vote on March 7th, 2017. And in every and any election for which you are legally allowed to do so. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️💙❤️💙❤️ 🔴⚪️🔵🔴⚪️🔵🔴⚪️🔵 #unitedstatesofamerica #VOTE #usa #localvotesmatter #rockthevote #earlyvoting #march7th #localelections #lacounty #ivoted #votebymail #dropoff #freshface (at City Of Marina Del Rey)

Its so irresponsible when I see people telling others not to vote because the electoral outweighs the popular vote. Electoral college is the popular vote of each state. Lastly, electoral deals with president only not local elections that affect your state, city and district. @Regrann from @17thsoulja4 - The legislature (senator and state representatives are ELECTED officials) sets statewide policies for each school district. Locally ELECTED #schoolboards also make policy decisions for their school district. These statewide and local policies are implemented by the superintendent, (who is appointed school board or by election) and then are put into day-to-day practice by the principaland teachers at every school. 🤔 So by MY understand if YOU want better teachers YOU have to elect representatives , senators and school board members that reflect YOUR views . 😂😭😂 thanks to the online conscious community hundreds of thousands of potential black voters have been instructed NOT to vote . So if you telling people not to vote please don't complain about school board members being racist and disrespectful to your children and your community because it's essentially YOUR fault because you don't know the electoral college has NOTHING to do with local elections 😂😭😂 ☝🏾️The Electoral College determines the President and Vice-President of the United States. NEITHER of which create laws even the people that say don't can agree on this . Your vote does matter if you have the majority in your area you can elect people from YOUR community to many levels of local government and at the state level. #17thsoulja #BlackIG17th Decide who will educate your kids if you don't have time to home school by voting for the school board. Decide who will fund the community center or close it down by voting for city council. Decide who will dictate the temperament of the people who police your streets if you can't organize and form militias and police yourselves. YOU choose who governs you or the white minority in your area WILL CHOOSE FOR YOU. #localvotesmatter #Regrann

#Icons, I'm in the #UK. Last night the bestie and I were wondering why #BlackAmerica doesn't have a major political party and if they do there not really heard off. What is the state of #BlackPolitics in the USA? Well done #JewellJones 👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾 Thanks @panafricanroots Please leave comments #TheIconicNubian 💋 ・・・ Let's support this amazing King! Reposr from @17thsoulja4 This is an example of why VOTING on the local level matters. He is a state representative they make the laws . The more of them you vote in more people from your community you can PERSONALLY hold accountable. If we want to move forward we have got to use ALL the tools at our disposal. Unity and education on all our options is key 🔑 who cast the votes for the electoral college 🤔The Electoral College is made up of 538 electors who cast votes to decide the President and Vice-President of the United States. When voters went to the polls on Tuesday, they chose which candidate received their state’s electors. The candidate who receives a majority of electoral votes (270) wins the Presidency. The number 538 is the sum of the nation’s 435 #Representatives, 100 #Senators, and 3 electors given to the District of Columbia.☝🏾️The Electoral College determines the President and Vice-President of the United States. 👏🏽👏🏽 for #Atlanta @Regrann from @cashcolorcannabis - Action > words Lets do our part to decriminalize cannabis in Atlanta and support the one candidate for Mayor! #CashColorCannabis #cashcolorcannabispodcast #smokethevote #localvotesmatter #votelocal #Repost via @thecannimedic #DecrimAtlanta In a historical move yesterday, the city of #Atlanta accepted Mayoral Candidates @kwanzahall "Harm Reduction" ordinance. The proposed ordinance would make possession of up to 28 grams of Cannabis punishable by a $75 fine in lieu of jail time and the $1000 penalty as currently in place. The vote has passed on to the Atlanta City Council whom will vote on the issue in Monday's session. We will be holding a freedom rally Downtown on Friday Oct 29 at the ACDC. If you support Cannabis Decriminilazation in Atlanta then come out and volunteer with @thecannimedic ##Cannabis #Advocates #SmokeTheVote #Kwanzahall #Mayor #SocialJustice #Reform #Progression #420 #Sesh #Freedom #Liberty #Justice - #regrann

#Repost @17thsoulja4 ・・・ In a great stride for representation Tuesday, nine black women were elected to become JUDGES in majority Democratic Jefferson County, Alabama, The Birmingham Times reported. The black women who came out on top in the district and circuit courts are all Democrats. Javan Patton, Debra Bennett Winston, Shera Craig Grant, Nakita “Niki” Perryman Blocton, Tamara Harris Johnson, Elisabeth French, Agnes Chappell, Brendette Brown Green and Annetta Verin are to be sworn in next January. French, who was re-elected to Jefferson County’s Circuit Court, told The Birmingham Times that she believes her hard work and years of experience helped to propel her to elected office.“I think the people don’t necessarily just support you just because of your race and gender. I think voters expect more than that. They look at our qualifications and make a decision about who they can trust with the leadership position,” she said. Tuesday night was a big night for women of color across the states ― not just in local politics, but in federal positions, as well. Three women of color, Catherine Cortez Masto, Tammy Duckworth and Kamala Harris, were elected to the Senate. Stephanie Murphy and Pramila Jayapal were also elected to the House. Next year, there will be 38 women of color serving in Congress, bringing us a little bit closer to shattering that glass ceiling.☝🏾️The Electoral College determines the President and Vice-President of the United States.
