REVENANT HEADCANONS - misc - (he is pining after reader) - implied violence/canon typical behavior

- When crushing on you, there’s definitely an internal conflict of his robotic assassin programming vs. what humanity is left of him. He remembers what it was like to be human, yes, and well, since you *are* human, he tries to refrain from letting his programmed instincts take over as to not scare you away. More often than not, he fails. He doesn’t mind, though, the thrill of hunting you, whether it be metaphorically or physically, is something he’s much more comfortable with.

- He finds himself following as close as the nearest shadow will let him when you’re out. He knows not to get too close and scare you away, and treats it like any of his missions. He’s ‘casing the joint’ so to speak, learning your routine, your vulnerabilities, your blind spots- but simultaneously he is making mental notes of things you like. He’s investigating shops you frequent, examining your favorite items at the store, pacing back and forth down your favorite aisle at the library/game store/etc., re enacting your routines for himself, wondering what makes lol of these things so important to you.

- Part of the joy he finds in knowing such mundane things about you, is that it’s like a small reminder of what it was like to be human, but re introduced in an exciting way. He remembers also having a favorite food when he notices the repeat items on your weekly grocery lists. He especially is overjoyed when you take care of your appearance. Before he realized he was a simulacrum, he loved to mock the routine of caring for his face. In a strange way, seeing you do anything of the same caliber (brushing your hair, your teeth, washing your face, smiling in the mirror, etc..), is such a rush for him- that little bit of humanity left in him is shared with *you,* and it’s just wonderful.

- In the case that you happen to also be an Apex Legend, you’ll find that he’s almost always in your peripheral vision. If he’s not on your team, he finds himself both immeasurably disappointed and equally delighted. There’s no greater joy than accidentally finding your trail while looting, and following it, hoping to catch you off guard, or better yet, strayed away from your teammates so he can take his time with you. Most of your fellow Legends think the two of you have some sort of past- maybe one that rivals the one he shares with Loba! The way he finds himself being extra brutal in his executions, or even dragging them out so he can listen to your pleas for mercy for just a little longer. Maybe you’ve noticed how much sweeter his voice becomes when he’s about to send *you* into a deathbox… “Look into my eyes… I want to remember this.”

- While on a team with you, unsurprisingly he is aloof and cold as usual. Sneering at you and your third teammate, complaining about you both slowing him down, and even leaving you behind to trail a straggler of an enemy squad. Then during the heat of a battle, you find yourself downed, and from seemingly nowhere, he’s in your face, secretly relishing in the fact that he gets to be so close to you, despite his outward appearance of scolding you and insulting you for letting yourself get to this point as he revives you. You’re just cover to him, and he should’ve dealt with you himself… That instant of holding your hand as he yanks you back to your feet… if it weren’t for the traces of your blood on his hands, it’d be a picture perfect moment for him. Or maybe the blood adds a special touch?

- Outside of the games, he stays far away, or at least out of sight. He’s a killing machine after all. It’s one thing to kill you in the games, after all, that’s not the *real* you, and your teammates might even respawn you, but in the real world? You might as well be made of glass. He is by no means a gentle individual, and he knows it. He wants nothing more than to feel you outside of a life or death situation. How would your face feel in his hands when you weren’t trying to crawl away, without his fingers catching on your cheek and drawing blood? What’s your heartbeat like when you’re calm? It’s been so long since he was living, so he can just barely remember the feeling of a real beating heart inside his own chest, and he wishes he could remember life through you.

like i know bloodhound is not a man but its still so misogynistic the way respawn treats their ptsd and focuses on their betterment in order to get to a place they can be vulnerable and love again with no consequences vs every woman who has to have some kind of spectre floating over them warning them about the Dangers of daring to try and live despite their trauma is so fucking infuriating. sorry i think loba deserves to be fucking happy without kairi being thrown under the damn bus or revenant hanging out hauntingly ouside of frame preparing his slur bank, sorry 👍

Alright, now that polls are rolling out, y'all know what that means...

Due to the uneven numbers and me not wanting to throw in a random non-legend just to make it even, this won't be styled exactly like most bracket type polling, but it'll still be the same premise.

I'll also be putting a one week timer on each poll, as the only options are either one day or one week. Despite this, I will actually be tallying up the scores for each poll after two days, after which I will delete the poll (to keep the tag unclogged) and begin the next round. This is to hopefully give folks plenty of time to vote, as I feel one day is a lil too short and one week is certainly far too long lmao.

cooking skill headcanons?

Hell yeah here's every single legend lmao

Bloodhound: Basic cooking skills. Can cook any meat over flame, though they know how to use any modern kitchen implements, knows how to season pretty well and their meals can be sometimes creative ‘cause they’re mostly just finding shit in the ground in the woods and heating it up.

Gibraltar: Grillmaster. Your dad is jealous. Veggies are good if they’re on a grill. Seasoning is sometimes too salty but not in a “I’m gonna stop eating this” way, but a “aw fuck, my cholesterol…pass me another rib” way.

Lifeline: She’s better at baking. Knows how to value a good meal, but if she does like, cook-cook it’s usually variations of stir-fry with a pack of ramen added. Drinks a lot of water to counteract how much salt she eats.

Pathfinder: He can usually follow a recipe verbatim out of a book. When it says add a “dash” of something, though, he malfunctions for a moment. Mirage and Crypto at one point teamed up to alter his programming a bit so he just translated “dash” to “1/8th teaspoon” so he’d stop wigging out.

Wraith: She’s average. Can follow a recipe, knows a couple things without a recipe, not very creative. But she can cook, and after coming out of pure hell that’s enough for her.

Bangalore: Look, you get her and Gibraltar together and it’s the best fucking BBQ you’ve ever been to. Between all the William’s family cookouts and a Mama and Nana that made damn certain their children and grandchildren could cook, she’s practically a pro at literally whatever you can come up with, though she’s really good at basically anything you’d eat at a picnic table in the summer. Bonus her dad taught her how to make a lot of Hispanic food as well so she can get really creative with spices and fusion foods. She’s good at balancing spice with pain vs. pleasure. Though if Octane is eating her food, she aims for pain.

Caustic: He can make rice. Likes to mushroom forage. Mostly eats out.

Mirage: Boy is pretty versatile, obviously his strong suit is his porkchops. He likes a lot of sweet glazes and only sometimes burns stuff. Never the porkchops, just other things.

Octane: All he knows is how to use a gas oven to roast marshmallows. Also, instant noodles.

Wattson: Average. Her and her dad ate a lot of simple foods, like rice and chicken, and crunchy is her favorite texture so she eats a lot of cereal and fried things. Wraith got her an air fryer for Christmas that she has since become a verified professional with.

Crypto: Eats out, orders out. He can cook a bit but not a ton. Mystic’s cooking was about utility over flavor, and Crypto is about flavor over anything else.

Revenant: He can’t recall. He did roast a guy to a nice medium over a spit out of boredom once, so he figures he was probably decent.

Loba: She’s…okay. Prefers to make things that don’t require heat, like sandwiches and cheese and crackers. Flavor is not always bad just not enough or weird because she mixed something sour with something that doesn’t really need sour but isn’t ruined by it.

Rampart: Indian food? She’s got you covered. Anything else? She’s on a first name basis with most the take-out places around Witt’s.

Horizon: She can make PB&J. Vegetable platters. Uh, soup…look in the universe where she’s home and raising Newton, he figures out how to cook real quick. She can do the baking though.

Fuse: Who the fuck let him near a fire source? Nah, his skills lie in meat and meat and meat. Veggies optional. Beer required.

Valkyrie: She’s…okay. Her mom always cooked growing up, and would complain about Valkyrie’s ability in the kitchen later on, despite it kinda being her fault. By the point she complains, however, Valkyrie has her own crew, which includes a cook, and is usually on the road. In short, she doesn’t cook much, and usually doesn’t have to.

Seer: Food, like anything else, is a form of artistic expression, and Seer uses it to express himself like anything else. He focuses a little too much on looks, though, and sometimes whatever he makes lacks in flavor because of that.

this dry spell is damaging, ive had more friends leave apex/stop playing during this time period than any other. normally this drop-off happens at the end of the season, not the beginning.

like, we had one lore drop and then...gone! we still dont know much about seer, and we're finally getting teases with big sister again, but if she makes a comeback, it'd feel so abrupt after a solid year of not acknowledging that she exists (because the writers wanted to push some weird mirage/rampart thing before ryonello told them they should be siblings instead).

and if big sister comes back, then like, how is apex gonna handle the rest of its ongoing lore right now? big sister, bloodhound vs hammond/talos under collapse, octane's dad, bangalore/loba/valkyrie, whatever the hell revenant's got going on, two more issues of the apex overtime comics focusing on completely different stories (some of which are in-game, i.e. wattson and crypto's "briefcase cam parts"), and then they gotta squeeze something in with seer...all on the back half of the season? either it'll be overloaded or it won't deliver.

why even the gap in lore in the first place? i've seen two theories: one; so much of the lore last season was panned, so they're rewriting some stuff they had planned, which would mean weird retcons or things going unnaddressed. or two; the upcoming lore features relevations from the latter two issues of apex overtime. if that's the case, then that means those comics will reveal something huge that they'd ALSO have to cram into the back half of this season.

zombie said they feel like this season will have really good lore, but i have the opposite. which is a shame :/

Gonna take a guess and say the Legends are gonna try and stop Caustic from gassing Solace City (he said he would in his takeover event)

Oh and Revenant’s most likely gonna try and fuck everyone up. Another Loba vs. Rev showdown would be so cool

#ApexLegends Heute startet die neue Apex Season! Was die neue Legende #Soba dabei so alles zu bieten hat, lest ihr hier:

Am heutigen Dienstag, 12. Mai 2020, startet die neue Season in Apex Legends. Passend dazu haben sich Respawn Entertainment und EA dazu entschlossen, auch die neueste Legende im Spiel im Detail vorzustellen. Der Neuzugang heißt “Soba” und dürfte Kennern der erzählten Geschichte der vergangenen Season im Spiel bereits bekannt vorkommen.

Denn die “High-Society-Diebin” kommt bereits in der Geschichte…
