Tonight was the night, the annual blood moon and it would just so happen that this blood moon was special. Yes it brought out the na'vi's more feral side but this particular night another creature would make an appearance.
No one knows what it is, all they know is that it comes from a planet light years away and loves the thrill of the hunt. Every couple thousand years, the creature would travel to pandora in search of something worthy to take as a trophy.
This creature knows to respect the balance of eywas creations, which is why it only hunts and captures one prize.
Little did you know that prize would be you.

"Your not going, end of story" Norm spoke, crossing his arms. You had asked him if you could go on a walk just to collect some fruit you were craving. Eclipse hasn't even started yet so you would be fine, atleast you hope you would be.
Huffing you began to protest till Spider walked past, chuckling to himself after seeing Norm finally tell you no. Norm rolled his eyes knowing all too well what was going to happen,"Why does this make a wish Tarzan get to go out but I can't?!"
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Norm shook his head "He is more responsible and knows the forest y/n." Spider turned around putting on a fake pout "Aw, is the little girl mad because she's too fragile to go ou-" , "Spider do not finish that sentence!" Norm spoke firmly, trying to not make the matters worse.
"You know damn well when I do get the chance to go out I'm much more safer than him!" You shouted at Norm, it was true though. Your brother always found a way to get himself into danger whereas you were careful and made sure to avoid certain areas.
"Safer or just smelly to where everything and everyone avoids you like the plague? You wonder why your still single and yet you continue to rub that horrid stuff onto your skin when you go out" he mumbled, getting some yovo slices in a bowl then walked to his room closing the door.
Norm sighed, placing a hand on your shoulder "Please angel, tonight is not the night you wanna go out. Maybe tomorrow though" he gave a soft smile then returned back to his desk, finishing up some work that Grace had assigned to him.
Screw what they said, you could easily make it to the gathering spot and back before the blood moon started, right?..
Maybe also pick up some more onvä'wll since you were out.

You made your way quickly through the forest, towards where the gathering spot was. Upon arriving though you were greeted by the sweet yovu smell, and quickly got to work with picking atleast a few from the bush.
Once you had enough, you quickly started making your way back home. Sure you could try going further out for the onvä'wll but it was risky, if you had left sooner maybe you could've gotten them.
Eclipse had begun, with now the blood moon shining bright in the sky. Your senses were on high alert, knowing that if you made one wrong move you'd be dead.
The forest looked like something out of a horror movie, instead of the usual beautiful glow, everything was red. The only sounds you could hear were various clicking noises that sounded as if they were getting closer and closer each passing second.
Feeling as if you were being watched, you made a beeline for the outpost when something jumped down from the trees infront of you.
"Well well, what do we have here?" Lo'ak chuckled darkly, stepping closer. Instinctively you took a step back making him smirk "Aw, the little vrrtep thinks she can get away that easily."
The clicking noises were louder now, a branch snapping behind you had you turning around quickly, only to be met with a creature. This..this had to be the creature that you heard about..
It was tall, taller than the omaticaya boy making you reach only up to his stomach. Long locs fell past its shoulders and it's eyes glowed like amber. Lo'ak crept up behind you, coiling his tail around your waist as he glared at the creature.
The mysterious alien clicked its mandibles again, almost as if it was trying to communicate with you.
One part of you is aroused to be between two giant men, but the rational side reminds you that one only wants pleasure while the other wants a prize.
"Lo'ak please.. just let me go and I won't tell anyone I promise" you pleaded with him, Lo'ak only looked down at you raising a brow "Oh? you think you have a say in this little girl?"
"You are ours to claim, ours to ruin, it does not matter if you want it or not baby. You'll take everything we give you like a good slut."
His gaze moves back to the other creature, giving it a simple nod while holding you still. The predator looks down to his wrist, fiddling with something on it. The sound of a small hiss escapes the item and he pulls out a little metal disk, your brows furrow "Wh-what's that?"
Lo'ak's left hand went to grip onto your hip while his right moves up to your throat, forcing you to turn your head to the side. The predator steps closer, reaching his reptilian hand out and places the disk behind your ear.
A scream leaves your lips at the burning pain coursing through your skull, it felt as if you were being stabbed by a thousand hot needles.
Soon enough a deep voice fills your ear making you jump slightly "Good, the pretty ooman can understand me now."
Lo'ak releases his hold on you, shoving your body to the ground. Gulping, you back up in fear making both men amused. The omaticaya crouched down then moved closer, leaning in close to your ear whispering only one thing;
"Runâ

Your lungs burned as you ran for what seemed like forever, they were playing with you, letting you think you could get away just so they could take that hope away from you.
Loud clicks and yips filled the night air, slowly getting closer and closer. In the distance you saw what looked to be like a cave and made your way towards it, hoping you could atleast be safe there.
The cave was eerie and smelled musty the further you went inside, turning a corner you saw a pink glow from what looked to be a rib plant. Unfortunately though you couldn't open it from this end as it was facing away, looking around more you finally mange to spot a syep'an.
Walking over you tugged on the syep'an, causing it to lift you up just as soon as you heard footsteps entering the cave. Quickly you ran and hid in a small space between two rocks, surely they couldn't get you here.
"Come out come out little one" T'auth taunted,"You can't hide from us baby, we will find you" Lo'ak chimed in, a dark chuckle leaving him as he and T'auth began looking for you.
You could hear their footsteps getting closer, the predators clicks sending shivers down your spine.
Suddenly everything went quiet, the footsteps were gone. Confused, you were about to move out of your hiding spot when a long scaly arm appeared, grabbing at you.
Screaming, you tried moving farther back but you couldn't. T'auth grabbed your leg, pulling you out from your spot "What a pretty little thing" he murmured, using one of his sharp claws to tear your clothes to shreds, leaving you completely exposed under his hungry gaze.
"I bet she tastes as good as she looks" Lo'ak purred from behind you, T'auth layed on his stomach draping your thighs on his huge shoulders "Only one way to find out" he smirked before diving in.
T'auth was ruthless, his long tongue licked from your entrance to your clit where he sucked on the small nub, sending shivers down your spine.
His mandibles gently scraped across the flesh of your thighs as he feasted on you. Your moans echoed throughout the cave, as much as you didn't want this there was nothing you could do except take it.
You were at the mercy of two huge aliens who could kill you at any given second, especially the one who's head was between your legs right now.
The predator reluctantly pulled away, only to let Lo'ak take his spot, but Lo'ak didn't want to waste anymore time. He was already dying to feel your pretty tawtute pussy wrapped around his cock, moving his tewng to the side he groaned as his cock slapped against his stomach. Beautiful patterns of tanhĂŹ scattered across his throbbing length.
Your eyes widened at the sheer size and girth of him, no..no that was never going to fit, it couldn't! You tried to scoot back but T'auth was right behind you, he held you against him while his massive arms hooked under your legs, keeping you spread for the other alien.
Grinning, Lo'ak crawled forward "What's wrong mamas? Afraid of a little alien cock?" He teased.
Before you could answer, Lo'ak had already notched his tip at your entrance, a small "Keep her still" left his lips as he thrusted his entire length inside you.
Lo'ak grunted, feeling your tight walls try to adjust around his cock. For him it felt so heavenly, his ears lay flat against his head while his eyes were squeezed shut.
For you though- it felt like you had just been impaled. The stretch to accommodate him hurt like a bitch to where tears were freely flowing down your face.
Did they care? Absolutely not.
Lo'ak rutted into you like his life depended on it, coaxing out noises not even you thought you could make. "Sh-shit mamas.. keep gripping me like that.." he moaned, sharp nails digging into your sides drawing blood.
You couldn't speak at all, all you could think about was how good he felt inside you. It felt wrong yes but felt oh so good too.
Meanwhile the one behind you licked a small stripe along the nape of your neck, a purr rumbling through his chest at the mewl you let out.
The na'vi's hand suddenly pressed down on your stomach, a moan like scream echoed through the cave as you came gushing around the thick cock inside you.
Lo'ak groans loudly at the feeling of your walls clenching tightly around him, the sensation pushing him over the edge and making him release inside you, so much so that it causes a small buldge to form in your tummy.
Slowly he stills his hips, still trying to catch his breath. "See? That wasn't so bad" he chuckled breathlessly, now pulling out.
You glared up at him, your breath coming out in short pants as the two men switched positions. Lo'ak was now behind you, his hands rubbing your sides, claws gently scraping your skin while T'auth made his way between your plush thighs.
His amber eyes locked onto your own as he shoved his cock inside your abused hole, Loâaks cum acting as lube so Tâauth can just slide inside perfectly.
You yelped tried to squirm but it was no use, Loâak had a firm grip on your sides while this other brute was nestled between your thighs.
With each thrust he delivered, punched out moans fell from your lips. Your head dipped back, resting against Loâaks chest as you neared your second climax of the night.
Tâauth didnât talk much but gods was he vocal, he threw your legs over his shoulders while dipping his head back in pleaure. Grunts and moans filled the cave along with your mewls.
âPleasepleaseplease..â you slurred, looking up at the alien through half lidded eyes. Loâak only scoffed, rolling his eyes âYou beg for him but not me?â
You didnât have the words to reply back, Tâauth was hitting all the right spots inside you that Loâak couldnât. Your mind felt like mush at that moment, not even registering Loâaks words anymore.
Tâauth couldnât hold back any longer, his mandibles opened wide and a piercing screech left his throat as he buried himself to the hilt, shooting his seed deep inside your womb.
Loâak hissed from the loud screech, his ears slightly ringing. Your own body seized as your climax was triggered, the alien grunted feeling you tighten around him.
Just as your vision was going black, a voice whispered in your ear;
âSleep if you want sevin tawtute, that wonât stop us from fucking your cute little body thoughâ

Feelings for a friend, part 2.2
Part 1 | Part 2.1
Pairing: Lo'ak x female human reader
Summary: Lo'ak has finished his iknimaya and has to choose a mate. You aren't too happy with his choice and things escalate between you, resulting in a lot of confessions.
Word count: 6,7k
Warnings: mentions of injuries, swearing, alcohol, reader getting a bit drunk
A/N: Helloooo đ¤đŤ´, this is the second half of part 2. I know it's very long. I got a little carried away, oops. I am working on a third part, which will be a little more â¨spicy⨠Enjoy!
You stayed in the hut with Loâak for what felt like hours but were actually minutes. Moâat had finished patching him up and left a couple of minutes ago. Now you were sitting here alone with him, you still had a tight grasp on his hand on which you were drawing circles with your thumb. His hand was huge compared to yours; your hand barely fit around his little finger. To pass the time, you were counting the freckles on his hand. 7, 8, 9, 10- A groan got your attention and you quickly stopped counting. Looking at Loâak, you noticed the sound came from him. His ears were twitching, and he started moving his tail.
Your voice was barely above a whisper, but the twitching of his ears, signalled that he heard you. âLoâak?â The boy stirred and you squeezed his hand a little, letting him know he was not alone. You looked at his face as soon as he opened his big, yellow eyes, your heartbeat getting faster by the second. He was alive!
A small smile crept on your face when your friend squeezed your hand. He swallowed hard before he spoke, and his voice sounded rasp. âIâm sorryâŚâ.
You shook your head. âDonât apologise- â
âNo, Iâm sorry. I failed you. I failed all of you.â His ears were pinned back now, and he let go of your hand. Tears welled up in your eyes. It hurt you that he thought of himself as a failure, that he wanted to live up to his father so badly that he put his life at risk. You wanted to be strong for him to put him at ease, but your voice broke.
âDonât say that. You didnât fail me or anyone else. We are only glad youâre still alive.â Loâak looked away when you spoke and pushed himself up into a seated position.
His face cringed as he hissed and grabbed his throbbing shoulder, âtsahev (crap)!â You reacted quickly, laying him back down as gentle as you could.
âWait here, Iâm going to get Moâat.â You made sure he was comfortable before sprinting out of the tsahikâs tent. You ran through the village as fast as you could, searching for Moâat, Neytiri, Kiri or anyone else that could help. âI need Tsahik!â you called out, but you couldnât find anyone. You wondered where they could be until you remembered where Spider went. He had told you Jake and Neytiri had a fight, which meant they were probably in their kelku.
You ran as fast as your legs could carry you and you only came to a halt when you finally reached the Sullyâs tent. You saw Spider, Neteyam, Tuk and Kiri crouched down, looking under the tent. Your heart felt as if it was beating out of your chest, and you tried to calm down your breathing. You needed someone quickly because you were afraid Loâak would lose consciousness again. At the same time, you were afraid he would sneak out if he remained conscious to do his iknimaya again.Â
Tuk was the first to notice you and you spoke before you gave the others time to get up. âI need your parents. Loâak just woke up.â
âHeâs awake?â the little girlâs eyes lightened up and a big smile formed on her face. She took hold of Neteyamâs arm excitedly as soon as he got up. âLoâaks awake!â she said excitedly to which her brotherâs eyes grew wide. He opened his mouth to speak, but you interrupted him before he even had the chance.
âWhere are your parents? Where is Moâat?â
He pointed to the tent. âMy parents are in there. I will go to Loâak.â And with that, he left. You saw the others getting up too, but before they had time to speak, you left. You quickly walked in the tent and saw Neytiri standing in front of Jake, whose back was facing the entrance. Neytiriâs face was scrunched up in frustration. âThis is part of our culture; you canât take this away from us!â
âHe almost lost his life out there! This canât go on any longer.â Jakes voice was filled with sadness and anger, and you could see his tail lashing back and forth.
You cleared your throat as you took a couple of steps into the kelku. Neytiriâs gaze shifted from her mate to you and her expression shifted from irritated to surprised. Jake turned around and you noticed he had a little more difficulty hiding his anger for his ears were still pointed backwards and his lips formed a thin line. You didnât waste any time for you werenât very comfortable interrupting the oloâeyktan, especially when he was arguing with his wife. âLoâak woke up.â You felt a little awkward, so your eyes shifted from the two naâvi in front of you to the ground.
Jake nodded slightly. âThank you, y/n. We will be there soon.â
You nodded in response and made your way of their kelku quickly. It was an understatement to say you were uncomfortable in there when they just had a fight. Something about Neytiriâs fierceness and Jakeâs authority made you nervous.
Commotion came out of the tsahikâs tent, and you werenât surprised when you opened the flap to step inside. Neteyam and Loâak were standing in front of each other closely as if they were asserting dominance. Their tails were wagging in frustration, and you could see their chests rise and fall quickly from their heavy breathing. Did they just fight?
You stepped into the tent, not wanting whatever this was to escalate. âWhat is going on in here?â
After a short silence, Neteyam pointed at you without tearing his eyes off his younger brother. âGo on, then. Tell her. Tell her how you want to risk your life!â
Loâak sighed as he pinned his ears down. He turned to face you and his eyes immediately went to yours. They were full of determination and his pupils were larger than normally. His eyebrows were knitted, and his mouth was pressed shut. You knew what that look meant. This look meant he wanted to do something he shouldnât, and you knew exactly what that something was. âOh, no,â you said as you crossed your arms in front of your chest. âYouâre not going back.â
âYes, I am and youâre not going to stop me.â Loâak started walking toward the entrance of the tent and even though you knew you were no match for him, you blocked his way by stepping in front of the entrance, glaring up at him.
Your best friend sighed again and looked you up and down. You crossed your arms again and raised your eyebrows, challenging him. Loâak was stubborn, but so were you. You werenât afraid to challenge him, and he knew it. On the other hand, you knew he would always be gentle with you, even when you were getting on his nerves. The worst he would do was lift you up and put you down somewhere else. âGet out of my way, y/n.â
âNo, Loâak. Youâre injured; you need to rest. Youâre not strong enough to do your iknimaya again.â You didnât get out of his way and waited for him to make a move. You were burning holes into his eyes and as he was standing there, staring at you, it felt as if Neteyam didnât exist anymore. The world didnât exist anymore. All you could think of was Loâak and how beautiful he looked when he was so determined. Persistence was a trait you looked for in a partner, and this just so happened to be one of Loâaks strongest traits. You could feel a familiar sensation in your belly, like butterflies, and you couldnât control the small smile that crept on your face. Loâaks serious look vanished a little as it got replaced by a smile too. Hope found its way into your mind; maybe he would finally stop being so stubborn and let his body rest.
Neteyamâs voice brought you out of your trance and you quickly looked at the ground, feeling flustered for zoning out like this in his presence. âMa tsmukan, listen to your girlfriend. Youâre injured.â He accidentally took hold of his brothersâ injured shoulder while trying to pull him back to his hammock which got him a sharp hiss in return. If it werenât for Loâaks actions, your face would be completely red for Neteyam called you Loâaks girlfriend. Oh, how you wish that were true. Instead, you tried to grab the boy who pushed his older brother away from him.
âLoâak, please,â you begged as you grabbed his non-injured arm. He pulled his arm out of your grip harshly and bolted for his brother, pushing him again. Neteyam almost lost his balance as he took a couple of steps back, before throwing his arms around his brotherâs neck, head locking him. Loâak struggled, elbowing and clawing at his brother.
âStop it, you skxwang!â the oldest of the two said through gritted teeth as he tried to keep his brother in place. What he didnât realise was that Loâak was fuelled with adrenaline which gave him an advantage as he elbowed Neteyam in his side. As soon as he got out of his brotherâs grip, he punched him on the nose. Neteyam hissed at Loâak in return and threw the second punch, aiming for his face as well.
You didnât want to stand there and do nothing, but you couldnât just watch them hurt each other. Where was the rest of your family? You figured Spider, Kiri and Tuk would have been here by now. You glanced through the entrance of the hut quickly, but you didnât see anyone nearby. This meant you had to put the fire out, but how? You were no match for their strength. You balled your fists in frustration, nails digging half-moons in your palms as you watched punches being thrown and blood flying through the air. You did not want to get through their fight at all, so you did the only thing you could think of at that moment; you yelled at them to stop.
âStop it, you guys! Youâre hurting each other!â You knew those words meant nothing at that moment, but it was worth trying. You were sure the two naâvi didnât even hear you, but you tried yelling again. As expected, this didnât work either. Loâak was now on laying on the ground and Neteyam was bent over him, his fist raised to throw another punch at his face. Without thinking, you ran to the duo and put your hands on Neteyamâs fist. âDonât, Neteyam, please donât!â
Neteyamâs fist trembled in your hands out of adrenaline and after a couple of breaths, he lowered his fist and got back up. You held his hand for a little longer until you were sure he wouldnât explode again. âMaybe itâs better you failed your iknimaya,â he started. âYouâre still a child. No wonder dadâs disappointed in you.â
Your eyes widened. You have never heard Neteyam saying something disrespectful about anyone, let alone his brother. You could hear shifting beside you, and from that moment, everything happened in slow motion. Loâak got up from his position on the floor as his fist made contact with his brotherâs jaw. He didnât give Neteyam time to think as he punched his cheekbone, and next the underside of his jaw. You could see the blood running down from Neteyamâs mouth as he scrunched his face in pain. He grabbed Loâakâs shoulders and kneed him in the stomach.
Without thinking, you stepped in between them. The weight of the mistake you just made only occurred to you when you saw Loâaks hands reach for you. He took hold of your upper arms and threw you away from him. The first thing that you felt was your head when it met a wooden pillar that was holding up the tent. The second thing you felt was your left shoulder as you fell on top of it in a weird position, your body folded awkwardly in a little corner of the tent. From your position, you could see the two brothers looking at you, shock was plastered on both of their faces, but you didnât process it. All you could think about was the throbbing at the back of your head. You could already feel a bump forming there.
You placed your right hand on the woven mat and tried to push yourself up. You screamed out in pain as a jolt of pain went up your left shoulder. You quickly laid down again and closed your eyes as the headache worsened. You reached your right hand to your head again to hopefully soothe the pain and you winced as you touched the bump that had already formed there.
Suddenly, two shadows lurked above you and big hands took hold of your shoulder to turn you around so that you could lay on your back. You screamed out again as you were turned on your back. It felt as if a hot knife stabbed your shoulder over and over again, causing hot tears to run down your cheeks. You tried to look at the two people who were bent over you, but the tears blurred your view, and the pain was so intense that you couldnât focus on the voices around you.
More voices were coming from beside you and you tried to blink away your tears quickly, wanting to see who were there. You looked to your left and you saw Jake and Neytiri first. They were standing in front of their two sons, who were looking down in shame. The person who was crouched down at your side, was Kiri. She was rubbing a thick, green paste on your shoulder. You opened your mouth to talk to her, but Jakeâs voice rang through the silent hut, gaining you attention immediately.
âWhatâs gotten into you, boy?â
Loâaks voice was uncertain, and it cracked as he spoke. âD-dad... I am sorry... so sorry.â Was he crying? You turned your head a little more to catch a glimpse of your friend, but another jolt of pain shot through your head. You closed your eyes as you winced.
The oloâeyktan scoffed. âYouâre sorry? Is that all you have to say after you nearly killed her?â Your stomach twisted at those words. Loâak threw you across the tent. Hard. You got injured because of him. You thought he would never hurt you. You made a promise when you were little, and you had always believed him. You had always trusted him. Today he broke that promise by throwing you to the other side of the tent. Anger and sadness flowed through your body, and you tried to get up again only to be stopped by Kiri.
She placed her hand on your non-injured shoulder and laid you back down gently. âMawey (calm down), ma y/n.â She signalled Moâat to crouch down next to her, blocking your view of the three Sully men.
âYour shoulder is dislocated,â Moâat said. âI can help you, but you have to sit up straight.â
Your eyes grew wide, and you only started feeling the immense pain and tingling in your shoulder when you looked at it. Your shoulder was starting to turn purple, and you could see it being deformed. âOh, Eywa,â you groaned as Moâat helped you sit up straight.
âI want you to take a deep breath, ma y/n,â she said as she took hold of your wrist and straightened your arm. You nodded and did what you were told. After you exhaled, Moâat pulled at your wrist, popping your shoulder back in place. A burning sensation went from that shoulder through your arm and you cursed as you screamed out in pain.
âMawey, my child. It is done,â Moâat said as she bandaged your arm in place. âYou need to rest now.â
Hot tears flooded down your cheeks as you nodded. Kiri gave you some herbs that would help against your pain as she helped you get up from the floor. âI will take you to the lab,â she said as she hooked her arm under yours and guided you to the entrance of the tshaikâs tent. Before you left, you turned around to thank Moâat for helping you. âIrayo (thank you),â you said and Moâat nodded in return.
As you left the tent, you could hear Loâak yelling after you. âI am sorry, y/n! I didnât mean to hurt you.â You sighed as you ignored him and started your walk to the lab.
You slept terribly that night. Your arm was still in a sling and because of that, you couldnât get into a comfortable position. Aside from the pain, your thoughts of Loâak kept you up as well. You kept replaying the scene where he threw you across the tent over and over in your head. Your best friend, the boy you also fell in love with, had hurt you. Not to mention he almost died during his iknimaya.
Lying awake for hours, you finally started to drift off into a slumber, the clock on your bedside table reading six am. The sun had already started to come up and rays of sunshine came through your curtains.
Your sleep was interrupted quickly by a knock on your door. You decided to ignore it in hopes of whoever was knocking, would go away. Unfortunately, they didnât go away as the knocking increased, and the door opened while they called your name. âY/n, wake up.â
You groaned as you recognised Spiderâs voice. âYou have to get out of bed, come on!â
You lifted your head off your pillow and looked at the clock with half-lidded eyes. 06:15. Did you really sleep for fifteen minutes? Not being in the mood for a hyperactive Spider right now, you rested your head back on your pillow and closed your eyes again. âGo away, Spider.â
The boy grabbed your blanket and pulled it off you, revealing you in a grey oversized t-shirt you stole from Normâs avatar. âI donât think you want to miss this,â he said as he opened your curtains, letting rays of sunshine illuminate your room before he went through your closet, grabbing a tewng (loincloth) and a top for you to wear.
You sat up grumpily, reaching up your hand to comb through your messy hair. âWhatâs so important that you had do disrupt my sleep?â
âLoâak is doing his iknimaya again,â Spider said as he laid your clothes on your bed. You were surprised to see that your top matched your tewng; they were both a beautiful shade of light pink. You normally didnât allow Spider to choose your outfit because he never looked at matching colours. He just grabbed the first thing within his reach.
âWait, heâs doing what?â you just realised what he said, and you got out of bed quickly, which you immediately regretted when you felt a throbbing in your head. You groaned as you put a hand on your head.
Spider looked at you compassionately and put his hands on your arms, gently sitting you back down on your bed. âNorm gave me some painkillers for you. You should take them before you head to the village.â
You nodded as the boy rummaged through the pouch that was attached to his hips before handing you the painkillers. âI will wait for you,â he said as he walked to your bedroom door. He had barely put his hand on the handle before he turned back around. âDo you need help getting dressed? You know⌠because of your shoulder.â
You smiled slightly as you shook your head. Spider was like a brother to you, but you wouldnât feel very comfortable with him helping you get dressed. Judging from his look, he wasnât very comfortable with it either, since he had a slight blush on his cheeks, and he was looking at the floor. âNo, thank you, ma tsmukan.â
After Spider left, you tried to get dressed. Putting on your loincloth was no problem, but your top was a little more difficult. Luckily, the top was just a bundle of ropes and vines that slipped over your head easily and didnât have to be tied up.
You werenât very excited to see Loâak today; you were still mad at him for hurting you. He was your best friend however, so you did want to wish him goodbye as he went for his iknimaya again. The walk toward the village was quiet, for neither you nor Spider had anything to say. For you it was because you were tired and feeling too many emotions at once. For Spider it was because he was nervous Loâak would be injured again.
When you reached the village, you could see the Sully siblings standing together as Loâak got ready for his rite of passage. Spider greeted them and you could hear them talking, but your mind was only focussed on your best friend who, as soon as he laid his eyes on you, looked you up and down, his eyes lingering longer on your injured shoulder. You raised your eyebrows at him and opened your mouth to snap at him when Kiriâs voice caught your attention. âHow did you sleep? Are you still in pain?â
You turned to her and saw that she was crouched down to your height while Tuk was watching over her shoulder intently. You sighed as you shook your head. âI couldnât sleep at all last night. My shoulder hurts and I couldnât get comfortable because of this stupid sling.â
Kiri examined your shoulder carefully and you followed her gaze. Your skin was not just purple anymore; it had also turned a bit green. âI will harvest some paywll (dapophet) for you today. It will help with the healing,â Kiri said.
You didnât have time to thank her as Jakeâs voice caught everyoneâs attention. âIt is time,â he put a hand on his youngest sonâs shoulder as he guided him towards a group of naâvi that were waiting for him. Everyone cheered for Loâak and wished him good luck, and even though you were mad at him, you felt sad that you didnât get the chance to talk to him before he left. You could see him turn around and you made contact with his beautiful, yellow eyes. You mouthed a âgood luckâ, before he was turned around again and walked out of the village.
You didnât feel like talking to anyone that day, so you went back to the lab and tried to get some sleep again. However, after lying in bed for two hours, sleep still didnât come, so you decided to watch some movies to kill the time. Not even halfway into the movie you picked, you got up and paced around your bedroom. Even though you didnât like it, your mind kept going back to Loâak. You were worried about him; what if he got thrown of that cliff again?
Throughout the day, you kept the same routine: watch a movie for about thirty minutes, pace and think about your best friend, try to watch a movie again, pace again, trying to clean your room, pacing again, etc, etc.
It was now getting dark, and you were laying on your bed, watching a movie again. You were so tired from overthinking and doing nothing all day, that you had started to drift off into sleep. You had just become comfortable when Spider busted through the door. You yelped as your eyes flew open and you immediately got up from your comfortable position.
âWhy do you always wake me up when Iâm finally falling asleep?â you asked as you put your hand on your chest, trying to calm down your racing heart.
âBecause Loâak is back,â he said with a big smile on his face.
âIs he alright?â you asked hesitantly. Last time he returned, he nearly died. You wanted to make sure that you could celebrate.
Spider laughed at you and shook his head. âYes, you skxwang. He is alright.â
You released a breath you didnât realise you were holding. He was alright. He was alive! âThank you, great Mother,â you whispered under your breath.
âSoâŚ,â Spider started, raising his eyebrows. âAre you coming to the party?â you knitted your brows at the thought of celebrating tonight. You were still mad at him, and you didnât feel like celebrating at all.
âI donât know,â you said softly. âI am really mad at him.âÂ
âBecause he threw you?â
âYes, he hurt me! He promised me he would never hurt me,â you pouted.
Spider sighed as he took a step toward you. âYou know he feels really bad about it, right? He wonât stop telling me how sorry he is. He acted in the heat of the moment. And you kind of got in between two fighting naâvi, which isnât very smart either,â he looked down, mumbling the last part, knowing he was right but afraid you would be mad at him too.
You knew you shouldnât have stepped in between the two brothers, but you werenât thinking. You didnât want them to hurt each other any further. On the other hand, Loâak probably wasnât thinking either, which is probably why he threw you. You sighed. Maybe you should apologize to him. But on the other hand, he did hurt you bad. âBut he hurt me,â you said after a couple of seconds. âHe broke his promise.â You wanted to stay mad at him, but you couldnât. Not today. Not when he finally finished his iknimaya, one of the most important events of his life.
âBut he is still your friend, y/n. Even if you stay for only ten minutes, it will mean a lot to him.â
You nodded, knowing Spider was right. You were going to the party, and you would congratulate Loâak on his achievement. Then you would go home and hopefully get some sleep.
Music could be heard as you neared the village. The sound of drums and bongos filled your ears, and you could see a large crowd of naâvi dancing to the music. The atmosphere was bright and festive, a sharp contrast to how you were feeling. You tried to make your way through the crowd without hurting your arm, while looking for your best friend. Because everyone was so much taller than you, you had to crane your neck to look at their faces. By doing so, you didnât pay attention to where you were going, resulting in you bumping into a muscled back.
âOh, Iâm sorry!â you said as they turned around. You recognised them immediately: Rawm. Rawm was one of the best warriors of the clan, he often went on patrol with Neteyam. You looked up at him as his muscular frame towered over you, making you feel even smaller than you normally did.
âYouâre y/n, right? Loâaks little girlfriend,â he said with a grin. Rawm was a great warrior, and he knew it, which is why he was always so full of himself.
You sighed as you heard his friends laugh. You just realised they had come to stand around the two of you and it made you feel very uncomfortable. âHe is not my boyfriend,â you said through gritted teeth.
âI guess not. You wouldnât want to be mated to someone who treats you like laâang (pile of stinking, rotting animal matter),â he said, looking at your injured shoulder.
âIt was an accident!â you were already annoyed because you didnât want to be here, and the fact that you didnât like Rawm very much didnât help either. You had to bite your lip to hold back another snarl and you balled your hands, your fingernails digging half-moons into your palms.
Rawm noticed your attitude and he raised his hands in surrender. âRight, it was an accident, Iâm sorry.â You looked at the ground and sighed, not wanting to talk to him anymore. You just wanted to talk to Loâak and head back home. âWhy donât you have a drink with us?â Rawm asked as he shoved a bowl in your hand, making some of the liquid spill over your hand.
You werenât a fan of the fermented fruit the naâvi drank on special occasions like these. It tastes very sweet, but it has a bitter underlying taste to it. It was much stronger than the alcohol humans drink, your tiny body couldnât even handle one portion. You drank it only once and woke up with a hangover the next day, while your friends were doing just fine.
You attemped to give Rawm the bowl back, but he pushed it toward you again. âI donât drink,â you stated as you tried to push it back.
The warrior hissed at you, still not taking the bowl. âYou should drink some, maybe it would cheer you up. You are always so grumpy.â You rolled your eyes at his comment and put the bowl to your lips. You werenât planning on drinking tonight, but you wanted to get to Loâak as fast as possible. If drinking this meant Rawm would leave you alone and you could go to Loâak, you would chug it as fast as you could.
Rawm and his friends cheered you on as you took big gulps of the sweet but bitter liquid. You were over halfway through when you pushed the drink away from your lips, knowing you would feel nauseous if you had any more. You slammed the bowl into Rawmâs chest, making the liquid spill over his abdomen and tewng. âHere, I drank your stupid drink, are you happy now?!â
You could hear him hissing and shouting at you as you quickly walked away from him. You knew youâd better not pick a fight with the best warrior of the clan, but this night, you couldnât care less. All you thought about was finding Loâak and apologizing to him and to finally have him in your arms again. Â
As you made your way through the crowd, the effects of the drink started to kick in. You were starting to feel a bit dizzy, and everything felt like a blur. After a couple of minutes, youâve searched through the whole crowd, but you couldnât find your friend. There was only one place left for you to look, and that was his kelku. The closer you got to his kelku, the more muffled the music got, something that your head greatly appreciated, and when you finally reached the entrance, you heard voices coming from inside. You couldnât make out what they were saying but you recognized Loâaks voice immediately.
A smile formed on your face when you heard his voice and you stepped into the opening of his kelku. âHey, Loâak, congratulations on your iknimaya. I wanted to- âyou stopped dead in your tracks as your heart sank at the sight in front of you. Your smile faded immediately when you saw Loâak standing in the middle of the tent with his hands on another girlâs waist whilst he was kissing her.
Both naâvi stopped their kissing immediately when they heard your voice, and you could see shock forming on both of their faces. âY/n-â your best friend started as he moved toward you, but you put your hand up, stopping him quickly.
âHow dare you, Loâak? I have been looking for you all night long! There is a party going on for you and all you do is this?!â you threw your hands in the air, signalling at the scene in front of you.
âY/nâŚ,â Loâak started to walk toward you again and tears welled up in your eyes. Nothing had hurt you more than seeing the love of your life kissing another girl. You were expecting him to be talking to his father, or celebrating with his siblings, but not⌠this. Your friend tried to grab your hands, but you pulled them away quickly. âPlease, let me explain,â he pleaded, ears clinging to his head in frustration.
âNo,â you said as you felt a tear run down your cheek. âI donât want to hear anything from you,â you said, and with that, you left. You ran away from his kelku and through the crowd, pushing aside anyone who was standing in your way. You could hear Loâak calling your name behind you when you entered the quiet forest, but you chose to ignore him. The alcohol combined with the bioluminescence from everything around you made you dizzy, making it hard for you to orientate yourself. You ran as fast as your legs could carry you and it felt as if your heart was beating out of your chest. Your ears were ringing, but you could still hear that beautiful but annoying voice behind you.
You didnât want to talk to Loâak. Not after you saw him kissing another girl. You knew you wouldnât be able to mate with him, but it still hurt. You werenât expecting him to find someone so quickly because he never talked about another girl. For you it felt like he had only eyes for you, and you thought other girls didnât exist for him. You thought the moments you two spent together were special. You thought he sometimes even flirted with you. Oh, how delusional you were. Turns out he had feelings for another girl all along.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didnât hear the footsteps catching up to you. You were suddenly grabbed by your arm and pulled back, making you stop running and bump into a blue, muscled chest. Loâaks chest. âStop running away from me,â he said harshly.
You took a couple of steps back, as far as the naâvi allowed you to while holding your arm in his iron grip. You were mere inches away from him and looking up to his face, you immediately locked eyes with him. His gaze was strong, and you felt your cheeks turn hot. Suddenly you couldnât stop thinking about his hand that left a tingling sensation on your arm. The hand that had been on another girlâs waist just minutes before, you reminded yourself. His hand felt dirty now and you yanked your arm back as hard as you could, but ironically, it didnât move an inch. Loâaks grip of you tightened, but it didnât hurt you, he made sure of that now.
âLet me go!â you snarled at him.
âNot until you tell me whatâs going on. Why are you running away from me?â his voice turned a little softer when he asked you that. His gaze was still fierce, but you noticed worry started to appear.
âBecause you are such a prick, Loâak!â you shouted as you tried to yank your arm again, but still, to no avail. Loâak didnât tighten his hold this time, but he didnât loosen it either. Instead, he pulled you a little closer. Not so close that your bodies were touching, but you could feel the heat coming off his body. The sensation made goosebumps run down your spine and your cheeks heat up again.
âOh yeah? Why?â he asked as he narrowed his eyes, still looking intently into yours.
You didnât mean to tell him everything, but your emotions combined with the alcohol in your blood made it hard to think properly, especially with his body this close to yours. âBecause you were with another girl! I wanted to apologise to you for being so reckless when you fought with Neteyam, because it was not your fault. I shouldn't have stepped in between you two. It is my fault that I am hurt, not yours. I wanted to apologise so we could celebrate your victory together, like we were supposed to do. But instead, you decided your time was better spend kissing some other girl!â Tears welled up in your eyes, but you tried to blink them back. No way you were going to cry in front of him.
âIâm sorry I kissed her then! Why does it bother you so much?â As soon as those words left his mouth, you couldnât stop the tears from flowing down your cheeks. You looked down as you swallowed down a sob. You would have to tell him the truth. This was the moment you would ruin your friendship forever. Every moment spent with Loâak would just be a memory now. You bit your lip as you tried to find the courage to tell him how you truly felt. You looked up at him and took a shaky breath. His fierce eyes pierced into yours and you noticed something else in his gaze. Was it anger? Grief? Or was he nervous? You really couldnât tell as your vision blurred from the tears in your eyes.
âBecauseâŚâ you took another shaky breath, dread pooling into your stomach. âBecause I love you, you skxwang.â
Loâaks eyes widened, and he dropped down to his knees while still towering over you. He was silent, way too silent for your liking. You tried to read his face; it was plastered in shock. You didnât know if it was a good sign or not. Your heartbeat started to quicken, and you didnât dare look at him anymore, so you looked down at the ground. You messed up. For good.
âI-Iâm sorry,â was all you could stammer. âI donât know why I said that. You probably think Iâm weird, because why would I fall for my best friend who isnât even human. You donât even like me. And I know I ruined our friendship- âyou were cut off by his lips slamming onto yours. You stood still like that for a couple of seconds, registering the fact that he was kissing you. You snapped out of it quickly as his hand that was holding your arm, glided down to your hand, engulfing your tiny hand into his much larger one. You raised your heels do deepen the kiss, wishing your other arm wouldnât be in a sling so you could throw your arm around his neck. You silently thanked the newest technology for making it possible for you to breath Pandoran air without a mask. Without a simple injection, you would never be able to kiss Loâak.
It was Loâak who finally broke the kiss. You both looked at each other, catching your breath from the long kiss. You looked at him with flushed cheeks. You didnât know what to say. It was him who spoke first.
âI love you too, y/n,â his voice was barely above a whisper, and he squeezed your hand slightly. âI have loved you for as long as I can remember.â
A smile crept on your face while hearing this. So he had been flirting with you! But why was he kissing someone just minutes before?
âBut why did you kiss her?â you asked.
Loâak sighed and bowed his head in shame. âI was afraid you wouldnât have feelings for me. When I hurt you yesterday, I was sure I fucked up. I thought things between us would never be the same again, so I looked for another woman. I knew Vineya had feelings for me, and she is a great hunter, so I wanted to give it a chance. To forget you.â He paused for a second before lifting his head again and looking into your eyes. His eyes were filled with hurt and shame, and it pained you to see him like this. âBut I could never forget you, I am so sorry,â he said.
You responded to him with a hug, resting your chin on his shoulder while standing on your tippy toes. âYou are forgiven,â you whispered. âI am sorry too. For putting myself in danger and for calling you a prick.â
The boy chuckled. âItâs okay. I deserved it.â
You shook your head and released him from your embrace. âNo, you donât deserve it, Loâak. You are a good man.â
He smiled at that and thanked you before grabbing your face in both of his hands and leaning down to kiss you again. You felt a blush creep on your cheeks as you returned the kiss.
Loâak broke the kiss and rested his forehead against yours, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. âOel ngati kameie,â he said.
Your stomach was filled with butterflies when you responded with a big smile. âOel ngati kameie.â

đMDNI!! smut smut smut!đ
You were in the lab getting some work done but of course not without Loâak invading your space. He had you in his lap and head buried in the crook of your neck. You loved how needy and clingy he was with you though, always have. He groans a little, adjusting you in his lap and shoving his face into your neck a little more, silently asking you if youâre almost done. âIâm almost done babyboy, be patient for mama, ok?â You say in your soft, velvet voice that makes him effortlessly hard in his loincloth, and makes his grip around your waist get tighter. You giggle softly at this, yes it came naturally to call him little names like that, but his reactions never fail to turn you on.
Softly, he bucks his hips up into your ass, again silently pleading you to hurry up. So with a sigh, you close your laptop and face your body to him, because you canât deny your beautiful mate anything. You give him a light kiss on his cheek, and trail kisses from there to his lips. âYou just couldnât wait for me, huh?â You say in the same tone, making his ears perk up and tail hit the bed with a heavy thump, âmama, you know Iâm impatientâ he says softly, not trusting his own voice with the way your clothed cunt was pressing just right against his dick. âMhm I know, but when I tell you to wait, I expect you to.â You say softly but sternly, making him absolutely melt. You trail your hands up his arms and gently grab his neck, making sure heâs looking at you, âis that understood, pretty boy?â Which causes a not so subtle whimper to escape his lips, and a helpless nod to come from him, âLoâak.â You say with a raised brow, hinting to what you wanna hear ây-yes, mamaâ.
This makes you smile gingerly at him, and kiss him sweetly on his lips then slowly leaving a trail up to his ear, âsuch a good boy for mama, you know that?â which makes his breath hitch and tail wrap around your leg. You leave a trail of kisses and marks from his jaw to his toned stomach, but go right back up just to hear that pretty pathetic whine come from his lips when you didnât give him what he wanted. His hips buck up impatiently, making you put you hand on them to pin him down, âlo, if you want something you know what to do.â You say while slowly getting on your knees to trail kisses on his soft muscular thighs.
âM-mama, please..fuck please touch meâŚneed it sâbad please babyâ he desperately pleads, face a pretty color of purple and ears pinned to his head. You smile up at him, loving the desperate gaze in his eyes âmhm, thats my perfect boyâ you say while tugging off his loincloth, noticing how his breathing gets quicker after calling him that. His length stands proud and tall, twitching in front of your face with precum flowing from his pretty swollen tip, the bioluminescent freckles that cover his girth shine brightly, almost indicating how pent up he was from your words. âAwh you poor boy, so pent up from teasing? what a needy little pup you are.â you say as you wrap a hand around him, giving him firm but soft strokes, using his pre as lubricant for your torment, making him let out the cutest whimpers and moans you love so much. Truthfully you did feel bad for teasing him for so long, since you already knew youâd be paying for it in the future, but you canât help it, he looks so good when heâs all desperate and breathless for you, and you know he loves it just as much as you do.
Each time you bring your hand back up to his tip, you turn your wrist slightly and slide your thumb over his tip, making his eyes roll back into his head at the contact and hips buck up like heâs in his rut. âF-fuck! y/n please..â he says deliriously, already almost at his peak because of you stroking his most sensitive spots. You give a quick kitten lick to his tip before slowing your pace, âWhat is it pretty boy? Want mommy to speed up?â You say with a shit eating smirk on your face, knowing thatâs exactly what he wanted, you just wanted to hear him say it. âAh~hah fuck, y-yes please, wanna cum p-please mama!â He says while holding onto the sheets for dear life, looking at you with pretty tear filled doe eyes that were begging you to speed up and let him cum. His cock twitching wildly in your hold and his moans and whimpers were getting needier and louder the more you stroked him. âMm ok, but donât cum. Got it? Not until I say so.â tightening your grip on his cock to get his attention, making him throw his head back and buck his hips up into your hand, choking out a sob from how good it felt, âyes! Yes got it, please just d-donât slow down, it-hah f-fuck~ feels sâgood..â he whines while looking back down at you, eyes glossy with tears, face all flushed, and chest heaving all because of you.
You speed up your pace and pay close attention to his sweet spots with each stroke, driving him crazy and closer and closer to cumming. âSuch a pretty boy with a pretty cock. All mine.â You say while leaving gentle kisses on his cock and v line. The look in his eyes goes to desperate to frantic in a second, the way your voice sounded and the feeling of your kisses had his cock twitching uncontrollably, the bioluminescence on his dick shining brightly to indicate he was close, âfuck! Mama please! g-gonna cu~mm hah~cum!,please! C-can l? Please?âLoosening your grip on him, you say âmhm- no not yet sweet boy. Mommy hasnât gotten to have her fun with you yetâ tears threaten to fall from his eyes after you deny him, his whole body goes slack and his tip a dark shade of purple,he lets out soft little hiccups and pleads as he tries to catch his breath and trying to recover from the almost intense orgasm he couldâve had.
You stand to on your feet and quickly take off the small amount of clothes you had on, then you guide yourself onto his lap, making him whine and buck his hips from feeling your bare cunt on his thigh. You hold the side of his face in your palm, giving him a chaste kiss on his forehead, âi know baby boy, mommy is just awful to you huh? But I needa get you warmed up before I use you.â Moving your hand to his jaw, you hold it firmly âAnd youâre gonna be a good boy and let mama use you right?â his ears go flat against his skull, a soft whimper coming from him. âYes mamaâ smiling softly at this, you give him a quick kiss to his temple before slowly lining his sensitive cock up with your soaked cunt, making his hands fly to your hips and grip onto you desperately, trying to focus on not cumming right then and there. You gently hold his face and look at him, silently asking if he was ready, he nods impatiently wanting to feel your gummy walls tightly wrapped around him.
So without any further warning, you slam your hips down onto him, setting a brutal pace and making him let out a yelp and grip your hips tighter. âFuck! Y/n w-wait! Please! G-gonna cum if you do that! P-please slow down!â He downright sobs, desperately trying not to cum, per your demand. âThen hold it.â You order, chasing your own pleasure, relishing in the feeling of his tip rubbing against your sweet spot deliciously. you shove him down onto the bed, pushing him deeper inside of you and giving you more leverage to go crazy on him. âMhmm! Mama youâre driving me crazy! I canât~ahh goddamn~ i c-canâtâ he sobs looking up at you with puppy dog eyes, pleading to slow down. The grip on your hips gets tighter each time you bounce on him, his tail wrapping around your thigh desperately. âMhm yes you can pretty boy, just hold on a lil longer, mamas almost done with you, ok baby?â You say, voice bouncing from the harshness of your pace. He lets out a little âo-okâ between his sobs and moans, but they turn into cries when you start rubbing your clit in tight circles, making your cunt squeeze him even tighter. âM-mamas! Fuck! I canât! Please can i cum please please please?i-i ca~mm~ please sâtoo much, feels too goodâ he sobs while tears finally flow down his face, the overstimulation finally hitting him.
Heâs such a good boy for you-so obedient and pretty. Fire courses through your veins and the coil in your stomach tightens knowing youâre the only woman that can make him feel like this, and your hips move on him faster, intent of milking him for all he has. âMhm! Yes fuck, Loâ, you can cum! Fill mama up nice and warm, yeah?â You ramble as his hands find your sensitive nipples as you squeeze around his cock. âGonna make me all swollen with your child, sweet boy?â making his face change a deep shade of purple and tail sway in excitement at the idea of that, âmm~ fuck yes, mama!â He cries out, filling your womb with his cum, making your coil snap too. You keep your pace until both of your highs are over, coming to a halt and making sure to be careful of how overly sensitive both of you are. Slowly, you start to lift yourself off of him, but are stopped by him grabbing your hips. âNuh-uh. Wanna stay like this for a minute.â He says while leaning up to shove his face into your chest, kissing and nibbling on your sensitive tits. You smile at his little suggestion, running your hands through his braids you smile down at him, âok pretty boy, whatever you want.â
Making him hard again instantly.

SILVER SPRINGS (Lo'ak x Fem! Reader)
pairing: lo'ak x fem! reader
wordcount: 7.6k
warnings: angst, fandom cliches, amateur writing, bantering, unrequited love (?), complex family dynamics, A LOT OF CLICHES IM SORRY, bad pacing (my bad bro idk how to pace a story im new to this), not sure what else as this is pretty tame
rating: SFW! though my blog is 18+ because i interact with nsfw content, anyone can technically read this?
taglist: @teyamsatan
author's note: okay hi this is my first fanfic that i've ever written before? not counting fanfics i wrote in middle school anyway i got the idea for this fanfic after listening to silver springs by fleetwood mac and i was so obsessed with this idea that i had to make it come true? im a huge neteyam girly so this is a shocker that my first fic ever is about lo'ak (he's my babygirl, just not the LOML like neteyam). uhhh im only familiar with academic writing and this is my first time EVER dipping my toe into the waters of creative writing so pls bear with me if this is not perfect. i actually think this is quite flat and tbh i hate the pacing like its actually awful and there is so much room for improvement, but hey what can i do? IM A NEWBIE AT THIS!! with that being said, if you do decide to read, please treat me with some grace because i am sensitive and i did this purely for fun!!! i know my lo'ak stans are starving for fics and im here to deliver!!!! i am not a professional or seasoned writer by any means but i really tried my best to create something enjoyable ): i don't know why this ended up being so long but it did and there WILL be a part two, i already have it outlined. SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, here is my first avatar fanfiction!!
proofread and edited but i got lazy toward the end LOL if you see any mistakes, please tell me kindly <3
You could be my silver spring
Blue-green colors flashin'
I would be your only dream
Your shinin' autumn ocean crashin'
The forest blended into a mixture of vibrant colors as you ran away from the incoming threat. Beautiful shades of blue, green, and purple passed around you. The feeling of the bare ground, soft and pliant from the morning dew, normally imbued you with a sense of stability and peace. As long as your feet were on the ground and connected to Ewyaâs bountiful moon, you knew everything would be alright. However, this time, the feeling of the bare ground underneath your feet felt the opposite of stable and peaceful. The ground served as a reminder of how much longer you had to run until you reached the safe confines of the Omitikaya clan.Â
You stopped running with a quick halt. Your chest heaved up and down as you tried to catch your breath. The beads in your hair clacked together in a cacophony as you looked around in different directions. The sun broke through the tree canopy and highlighted the forest like a kaleidoscope. Swish. You quickly turned your head to the other side to catch sight of what made the noise but all you could see was the rustling of the bushâas if whatever you were looking for was looking for you too before running off. Without a second to spare, you dashed in the direction of the village. But you only made it a few feet ahead of you before you were tackled by something heavy and shoved to the forest ground.
âI win.â said the voice from above in a triumphant, but annoying, manner.Â
âYou got to be faster than that, âeylan.â As you shaded your eyes with your hand, you were met with the illuminating picture of Loâak on top of you. The sun shone above on Loâak and cast him in beautiful rays of light. He looked like an angelâlike a celestial being sent straight from Ewyaâs heart and into your eyesight. Though you have never seen an angel, Norm described them as ethereal and pure religious beings. And at this moment, Loâak was an angel.Â
âGet off me, fatass.â You said as you pushed Loâak weight off your body. You secretly loved the weight of his body on yours and how it radiated a warmth that hugged your body and soul. Loâak rolled off with ease and laid next to you on the foliage. âHey! No need to insult me because you lost yet another round of hunter and prey.âÂ
Hunter and prey. A game that all Omitcayan children played growing up. And though you and Loâak were no longer children, you continued to play this game. Loâak claims itâs a great way to burn energy and let loose. You suspected he liked playing so often because it allowed him to avoid whatever daily chores his father, the Oloâeyktan, assigned him. And while you could think of better ways to spend your time, you indulged in Loâakâs childish whims because it brought him happiness. What type of best friend would you be if you didnât?Â
âIâm not insulting you because I lost. I could care less about losing,â You explained. âIâm insulting you because tackled me to the ground and put your entire weight on my body. Lay off the yovo fruit and I might insult you less.âÂ
Loâak scoffed at your response and stuck his tongue out in a mocking manner. âYou mean the yovo fruit that Spider and I specifically collected because you asked for it? Yeah, I got put on ikran pen duty for a week after that since we missed curfew.âÂ
You simply rolled your eyes and aimed your middle finger at Loâak. Yeah, you definitely spent way too much time around Loâak.Â
You both basked in the sun and listened to the sound of the forest: your home, your comfort place, the lifeline of the People. You thanked Eywa every day for the forest and the way it provided for you endlesslyâfrom the delicious yovo fruit, to the medicinal herbs, fauna, and everything in between. There was a gentle rustle in the air as it approached low afternoon. If closed your eyes and listened hard enough, you could hear the faint buzz of the insects and the leaves fluttering.Â
As you turned on your side to face Loâak, you noticed he still had his eyes shut. Your eyes raked over his stripesâthe stripes that would forever be engrained in your brainâand focused on the armband that fits snugly on his upper arm. The weaved armband was made out of dried, violet stalks from the tstxa'a plant and braided into a traditional, intricate Omatikayan pattern. You added tiny clay beads that you hand-molded and painted a color very similar to a marigoldâyou captured copious amounts of juice from the banana fruit just to have enough pigment to create a dye. A small smile appeared on your face as you recall how long it took you to make the armband.Â
Your eyes slowly made their way toward his face. They widened as they realized Loâakâs eyes were open and staring at you too. The air was charged with tension as you both continued to stare at each other in silence.Â
You and Loâak always had this weird ability to communicate through eye contact alone. Your friendship, which was forged in childhood, ran so deep that words failed to represent what your eyes could. He was your other half as much as you were his. In these small moments of intimacy, you remember just how much you love Loâak. There was an unspoken bond between you twoâa bond that went beyond friendship and teetered on the edge of romantic love. And while it was undeniable that there was something more happening between the two of you, your relationship stayed on that flimsy edge.Â
âWhat are you thinking about,â you whispered in a tone so soft that it reached Loâak ears like a tender caress.Â
âOh, nothing. Just thinking,â Loâak replied with a teasing lilt in his voice and a glitter in his amber eyes. While everyone in the Omatikaya clan had the same shades of bright, yellow eyes, you thought Loâak had the prettiest. You raised the muscle on your face, where your eyebrows would have been if you had, and furrowed your forehead in suspicious knowing.Â
âThinki-â âIâm thinking about how funny it would be if I beat your ass in another round of hunter and prey! Last one to the village has to take over foraging duty!,â Loâak shouted with a boyish smile as he got up quickly and ran in the direction of his kelku. Â
You got up from the lush grass and ran after him with another exacerbated breath.
The day drawled along as you patrolled the forest for the dandetiger tree. You looked for its long, azure leaves and armored trunk. As a healer in training, you were tasked by Moâat to look for the tree for samples of the resin-like substance that it leaked. The sticky substance was extremely helpful to the Omatikaya clan in many ways as it behaved like an adhesive. It was especially important to healers as they used the dangetiger tree as part of treating wounds and ensuring bandages stuck and protected healing wounds. The healing hut ran low on its supply, thus you found yourself wandering through the forest. Kiri offered to accompany you, but you could tell she rather focus on perfecting the paste she was mixing. A major perk of being best friends with Loâak is that you also became close with his family and found a small niche within the Sully family.
You were an extension of Loâak, but also the opposite of him in some ways. Whereas Loâak was more energetic and impulsive, you were calmer and sensical. You both balanced each other perfectly; you were the yin to his yang. While Loâakâs nature often got him in trouble with his family, namely his father and older brother, you loved his high energy and zest for life. Sure, he could use more pragmatism in his daily thinking, but you saw Loâakâs personality as a blessing more than a hindrance, especially in times of war and destruction. If Loâak was your sun, then you were his moonâstable and outer-worldly. You were unwavering. Your nurturing nature and kind soul always amazed Loâak, even in the worse of times, you took it upon yourself to think and act as an optimist. You carried yourself with a sense of dignity that Loâak wishes he could replicate.
Though none of you ever admitted it out loud, you and Loâak knew that you loved each other in a way that best friends didnât.
Despite your differences, you both had a passion for exploring and adventure. If Loâak went anywhere, you followed. And if he got in any trouble, you were only a few steps behind him. While Loâak intention for mischief was partially caused by the motivation to piss off his father, you believed that Eywa made Pandora for the purpose of exploring. Why would she make Pandora so magnificent and rich in life if not to experience every single crevice, nook, and cranny of it? While the forest would always be your home and the place you want to spend the rest of your life in, you could not deny the appeal of a nomadic lifestyle like the Olangi clan. However, with the return of the sky people on Pandora, your exploring had been cut to a short. Unable to venture into the unknown parts of the forest, the parts that resulted in a scolding or two from both your mom and Mr. Sully, you were forced to stay within the clanâs boundary lines.
Your thoughts were cut short as your heard movement in the background. The bag on your shoulder was discarded to the ground as you took out your bow and arrow. You were no warrior, but you begged Loâak to teach you enough to be able to defend yourself. Any Naâvi should know this little. You prayed to Eywa that it wasnât a palulukan, or worseâa sky demon. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of your face as you aimed your bow in the direction of where you heard the noise. You aimed at the bushes before letting your final finger release the bow.
âRelax, syulang! Itâs just me, Loâak!,â he said as he came out from the bushes of loreyu and walked to where you were standing. âLoâak,â you huffed with annoyance in your voice. âDonât scare me like that, you skxawng! I was really focused on finding a dandetiger tree. Tsahikâs orders. What are you even doing here? I thought you were training with your father.â
âLoâak,â you huffed with annoyance in your voice. âDonât scare me like that, you skxawng! I was really focused on finding a dandetiger tree. Tsahikâs orders. What are you even doing here? I thought you were training with your father.âÂ
As Loâak walked closer to you, you noticed the downturn expression on his face. Your immediate heart softened. He must have had another fight with his father, you thought to yourself. Loâak turned his face toward yours and you saw the unshed tears in his eyes that threatened to fall any second now.
âI, uh, I was training with my father until we got into a fight and I stormed off,â he said with a shaky breath. You could tell Loâak was trying to keep his composure, not wanting to show that vulnerable side he desperately tries to hide away. Yet, you knew better than that. Every time Loâak tried to shut down and hide his emotions, you came running after him and knocked down the fragile walls he built around himself. The walls were fragile because Loâak knew he would and could never shut you out completely. He took a deep, shaky breath before continuing, âIâm just so sick of it. He expects me to be this perfect son and soldier all in one, but Iâm not Neteyam. Iâm just Loâak.â
You always thought Loâak was the most complex person you ever met. He was the second-born son of the revered Toruk Makto and mighty Palulukun Makto. But, Loâak was so much more than that to you. He was more than both of his parents. Though he would never admit it, Loâak was a lost soul. Not quite like Neteyam, the mighty warrior and dutiful son, or the spiritual Kiri who was literally like Ewyaâs disciple. Hell, even everyone knew Tuk would grow into a fine, strong-spirited woman! Loâak didn't know where he fit in his family. Of course, the Sully family loved him, and Loâak loved his family just as much. But that still didnât stop the gnawing, deep feeling in Loâakâs subconscious from telling him that he would never amount to greatness like the rest of his family. You wished Loâak wouldnât be so hard on himself because you also had a deep feeling in your subconscious that Loâak was destined for greatnessâthe feeling was embedded so deep in your bones that you would bet your left on it.Â
âI know that Iâm a fuck up.âÂ
âYouâre no-â
âItâs okay, syulang. I know Iâm a fuck up. I can see it in the tribesâ faces every time they hear my father lecture me, or worse, hear Neteyam lecture me. I can see it in my fathersâ eyes and in the way the rest of my family pities me.â
âYour family doesnât pity you, Loâak. If anything, they pity the way your father has been forced into this weird dichotomy of the punisher and protector ever since the sky demons returned and how itâs taken an effect on your relationship,â you tried to explain as sweetly as possible.Â
You took a step closer to Loâak and examined his face. Though his tears had dried and his eyes were now puffy, you could still tell there was a great sadness within him. You wished you could take all his pain and suffering so he didnât have to.Â
âI donât know who I am besides the fuck up, or the troublemaker. I feel like my entire existence is defined by all the things I am not. Defined by the way Iâm different from Neteyam or Kiri. I want to be defined by who I am, but I donât even know who that is most of the time,â said Loâak. âI try so hard, but it is never enough to satisfy my father. Or myself. I feel this heavy pressure in my chest and no matter what I do to relieve it, it stays. If I am not meant to be the next Oloâeyktan or the next Tsahik, then who am I meant to be? SureâI am training to become a warrior, but Iâm not sure if this is something I want or if it is a role I am forced into. I know Iâm impulsive and reckless and irresponsible, but I try so hard, but what if that isnât enough to look over all my flaws and mistakes?â
You moved even closer and tucked one of Loâakâs front braids behind his ear. You always loved his hair like this. It suited his face so well. His braids were adorned by various beads, each with its own significance and memory attached to them. The beads he wore today were a pretty amethyst color. Your mind quickly flashbacked to the day you both created the matching beads. You both swam all day in one of the forestâs ponds trying to find the purple stones underwater so you could both craft new beads. Loâak almost passed out from lack of air twice and your hair was so tangled by the end of the day that it took your mother three hours to undo the gnarly knots. It was totally worth it, however, because you gained new accessories and memories to match. But before you could let yourself get too far away in the past, you shifted your attention towards Loâak and began to speak.
âI see you, Loâak. I see all of you. I know that you feel like a lost soul and that you get too caught up in comparing yourself to the rest of your family. And I truly wished you didnât compare yourself to others so much because you are so special.â Loâakâs face grew warm at your words. Before he could respond, you interrupted him and continued to talk. âYou feel like you are too different from your family and think you do not fit in, but you do! You are the light of your family; you bring laughter and happiness. The Sully dynamic would not be the same without youâit would be too serious and no one would have fun! Loâak, you have a strong heart like your father. Even though you could use some impulse control, I know you never have ill intentions. We are still so young and have so much more maturing to do. Do not let yourself be defined by the mistakes of your past. Mistakes are bound to happenâthey are as natural as birth and death. Youâre the light of my life too. Without you, there is no one else in this clan that could make me smile as much as you do. No one to explore with and quench our thirst for curiosity. You say that you are impulsive, but there is too much excitement in your body to contain it. I love seeing your excitement and wanderâit is a reminder of Pandoraâs goodness and the way Eywa intended us to live. You are not irresponsible, you are just learning along the way like we all are. There is no one like you, and my heart is torn because you do not see yourself in the same way. I pray to Eywa that you could see yourself through my eyes.â You then placed one hand on Loâakâs chest, right above his heart.
âââNga yawne lu oer, Loâak.â There was no going back now. You said itâthe words that would either be fatal to your soul or make your heart sore higher than the Hallejuah Mountains. And though there was a risk of Loâak rejecting you completely, you jumped off the fragile cliff that your friendship lived on. All the intimate moments, the knowing smiles, and the lifetime of shared memories led you to this moment.Â
A moment of silent pass as you waited for Loâakâs response to your confession. Lo'ak did not expect you to confess, but he knew at some point it was bound to happen. Just not right now, under these cruel circumstances, in a time of devastation.
You shouldnât have confessed. Loâak wasnât ready for it.
The look in your eyes was so sincere and so full of unconditional love. You are the only person who could truly see Loâak for everything that he is and everything he was meant to become. The light hit your eyes in the right way and Loâak could swear they were glittering. Ewya blessed her with both heart and beauty, he said in his head. Loâak could only stare as he still reeled from your heartfelt speech. He wasnât an idiotâLoâak knew that there was a special chemistry between him and his best friend. And he also knew that it was the type of chemistry that only two people in love have. Loâak has known ever since he was a small child that you were his endgame. Your years spent together only solidified his hypothesis.Â
Life on Pandora could be unforgiving and unrelenting, but you were the complete opposite. You were forgiving, always ready to accept Loâak back into your arms and heart after every mistake he made. Though these mistakes were rarely made towards you, you still welcomed him every time. You were always there for him. But, Loâak didnât fall in love with you because of the fact you were always there for him. It did play a big part, but Loâak knew that would be a selfish reason for falling in love. Instead, Loâak fell in love with you because you wereâŚwell, you. You were kind and always treated your fellow clan members with the utmost consideration and respect. You were perceptive, never wanting to misconstrue a situation and analyzing all nuances before speaking on something. Because of this, everything you said or did was genuine. Loâak loved this the most about you. Where Loâak felt everyone in the clan (excluding his family and Spider) give him fake niceties, you were 100% authentic towards him. You never condescendingly spoke to him or treated him like a chore that had to be put up with. Compassion and understanding were what you treated Loâak with. These are all things he rarely experienced with other Naâvi. Yet, you also werenât afraid to call out Loâak on his bullshit and humble him. You somehow balanced outspokenness and tenderness all at once. This lit a fire in Loâak soul.
This thought both excited and scared him. The thought of loving someone unconditionally, and being loved unconditionally, seemed like something too good to be true. Only something reserved for people who deserved it. Loâak knew you deserved unconditional love, but it couldnât be with him. Despite everything you said about him and the way it almost glued together his broken self-esteem, Loâak could not return your confession in good consciousness. Itâs not that Loâak didn't love youâhell, he loves you more than anyone or anything on this moon! But, his insecurities would not allow you to love him or allow him to love you. He didnât deserve to love or be loved, not when his insecurities kept up awake at night, taunting his brain with âYouâll never be good enoughâ or âYouâre a failure of a son and brother.â You deserved better than Loâak and all of his broken parts. You needed someone who was the bestâsomeone like Neteyam, but not Neteyam himself because that would be the final nail in Loâakâs coffin. Loâak knows his recklessness, impulsivity, and natural gravitation toward the unknown was acceptable because he is young. These may be the traits you love about Loâak now, but he knows very well these are the same traits that can make you fall out of love with him too. After all, you wonât be young forever and it wonât be cute forever. But what if he never grows out of this? What if this is who he is meant to be? No, Loâak would not subject you to this fate.Â
And so, for once in his life, Loâak let fear take over his decision. Your face morphed into an expression of shock and confusion before settling on a still face.
âI am sorry, syulang. I canât do this right now.âÂ
You watched Loâak retreat from the spot you both stood in. What the fuck just happened?
You spent the next few days in a strange haze as you processed what happened between you and Loâak. At first, you were angry. How could Loâak just leave you hanging like that? For Ewyaâs sake, he could have said anything else and it would have been a better response than what he said. You laid your fucking heart out on your sleeve, waiting for Loâak to take it and claim it forever. After your initial response to the situation, you started to worry. Maybe you misinterpreted your relationship. What if Loâak didnât love you and you just thought he did because of how close you were? No, that didnât sound right. You knew Loâak loved you too. Not even in a delusional way to comfort yourself, but there was no denying you both loved each other. Did you just confess at the wrong time? Perhaps it would have been better if you confessed when Loâak wasnât fighting with his father. But, you didnât even mean to confess! Well, you did mean to confess but not at that exact moment. You were trying to comfort Loâak and reassure him that he was wrong, that someone could love him. It just seemed like the right thing to say. What if it wasnât? What if it overwhelmed Loâak and pushed him away? Now you felt like the jerk for confessing at such a moment. But Loâak was a jerk too for just leaving you! You really wished you could talk to him, or that he would talk to you, but the timing was horrible. The war party went out a few days ago, and it was Loâakâs first time joining the mission. But of course, things never go as planned. Over-enthusiasm from Loâakâs and an injured Neteyam caused Mr. Sully to put Loâak on lockdown for the last few days. This was the first day Loâak was allowed some freedom to explore, thatâs what Kiri told you before she left with her brother, Spider, and Tuk. You wanted to join them in their adventure today, but you were still reeling from your last conversation with Loâak and decided it would be better to stay in the village. You needed one more day to unscramble your thoughts before approaching him.
The tension between you and Loâak had been festering, but it quickly came to a stop once you saw him walk back into the village with his entire family. Jake and Neytiri walked walk in front of their children with heavy looks on their faces. Jake looked angry, yet worn at the same time. His mouth was pressed in a tight line and the wrinkles in his forehead looked more apparent than they ever have before. Neytiri walked beside Jake with Tukâs hand in hers in a tight grasp, as if she never wanted to let her baby go ever again. Her expression was harder to read, but you could tell the tsakarem was worried by her stiff posture. Kiri trailed behind her parents with a slouchy form and arms across her torso. She looks dejected. And finally in the back were Neteyam and Loâak. Spider was nowhere to be seen, which you found odd as he went with the rest of the Sully children into the forest, but you assumed he must have gone back to the human outpost before curfew.Â
I wonder what happened. Something must have happened if the entire family walked in like that.Â
Jake and Neytiri quickly made their way to their kelku and closed the opening flaps before any of their children could come in. The Sully children then made their way toward the side of their kelku and leaned forward on their hands as they attempted to listen to their parent's conversation. You wanted to make your way towards them and figure out what the hell happened. Just as you were about to walk over to them, Loâak turned around and his eyes scanned the village as if he were looking for something or someone. Loâakâs eyes then met yours and with a small nod, you understood what he was trying to say. Later. At our spot.Â
Your stomach turned to bubbles as a feeling of cold anxiety washed over your body. You werenât sure if it was because of Loâak or something else, but you knew whatever it was, it was not good.Â
Loâak was already sitting on the bioluminescent forest floor when you arrived at the small clearing which was designated as our spot. It was a hidden clearingâaway from any of the main trails and hunting and gathering spots that the clan used. You first found the clearing one day after playing a round of hunter and prey with Loâak and Spider.Â
Flashback
You were both 12 years old. Your hair was cut in a sharp, shoulder-length bob because you claimed long hair only got in the way. A bright orange and yellow ombre feather decorated the underside of your hair. A simple beige-toned weaved top and matching âtewng adorned your small body as you ran away from Loâak. He loved playing the role of hunterâyou assumed it because of the way Loâak looked up to his father. He wanted to be like the Oloâeyktan in every way possible. This was before their relationship had a strain in it. Both you and Loâak were unmarred from the harshness of war. The only thought that filled both of your minds was what adventure you would get into next.Â
As you giggled profusely and thought of where to run next, you noticed that you were in a different part of the forest that you never visited before. You searched for any familiar landmarks, or plants that would signify where you were. The giggles that previously escaped your mouth quieted down as the situation dawned on you. You were lost in the forest all alone! Your mom was going to kill you, but only if a nantang or palulukun didnât kill you first.Â
âLoâak, are you there!!!!!,â you screamed at the top of your lungs. That probably wasnât the smartest move. A predator could be attracted to your sound. But you figured it would be better to call for Loâak. If any predators came, you could climb a tree and wait it out.Â
âLoâak!!!â you continued. Worry was starting to creep in. If you didnât find Loâak soon, there was no way you would be able to survive the night in the forest.Â
As you looked around the clearing again, you noted that it was quite pretty. A small pond, decorated with pink paysyuls, sat in the middle of the forest. The sun streamed through the trees and you could see the fishes elegantly swim in the water. A pack of loreyu sat directly across the pond, along with eanean bushes right next to it. The clearing was simple, but you knew that it was much more than that. Like everything else Eywa created, the clearing served a purpose and was spiritually connected to the Naâvi. Perhaps its purpose was unknown until this moment. You decided that the purpose of the clearing would be a secret spot only known to both you and Loâak. The thought excited you, and you quickly imagined a lifetime of moments here.
Flashback Over
Loâak sat with his arms extended behind him with his back facing you. You could see the tension in his back muscle as he sat there, looking up towards the night sky. One of Polyphemusâ moons was shaped like an ikran claw. Despite the moonâs brightness in the sky, the stars still twinkled. A soft, minty green glow emitted from the bioluminescent leaves Loâak sat upon. His tanhi, patterned perfectly on his body like Ewya directly hand placed each freckle herself, glowed like the sky above him. Loâak was lost in his thoughts as he silently spoke to Ewya, questioning what her intention was. You cleared your throat to grab Loâakâs attention.
âHeyâŚâ he muttered under his breath. You replied with a soft hello before taking your place next to him. There was still an awkward tension lingering between the two of you, but you pushed it away. Whatever happened a few days ago didnât matter anymore. You knew something serious happened in the Sully family and you knew your best friend needed you right now.Â
âDo you want to tell me what happened this time?â you quoted Loâak as you looked into his eyes for the first time in a few days. The dark lighting only enhanced the rich shade of his honey-colored eyes. They glowed brightly in the dark. His eyes resembled the shiny topaz glass jewels located deep in the rainforestsâ many cavernsâboth were a sight to behold.Â
Loâak thought he should rip the bandage off. There was no point in delaying the traumatic news he just received from his parents.Â
âMy family and I are leaving the forest.âÂ
You were confused by his statement. Leaving where? There was no other place to go. The forest was your home, his home. âDo you mean that youâre visiting another tribe for diplomatic reasons,â you asked with a slight tilt in your head to match confusion. Why would this be so important that he needed to meet you at your spot? This wouldnât be the first time the Sully family has left on diplomatic retreats.
âNo, (Y/N). My family and I are leaving the forest permanently,â Loâak replied. Your heart dropped into the pits of your stomach. Now you were just getting annoyed. You havenât spoken to Loâak in the days, and the first thing he does is try to pull at your leg. âLoâak if this is a joke, then itâs not funny. What are you talking about?â you said with a stern voice. Loâak stared at you as if he didnât want to explain further. Itâs true, he didnât want to explain further because it meant that what was happening was real and there was no way to delay or stop the situation.
âEarlier today, when we were exploring the forest, we saw footprints in the dirt that didnât belong to any Naâvi. It was sky demons. We followed the footsteps to an abandoned shack. I knew we werenât supposed to be there, but then we spotted a group of uniltĂŹranyu in military gear. I quickly paged my father and let him know what we found. But as we were trying to leave back to the forest, the uniltĂŹranyu captured us and held us hostageâŚâ
âWhat?â you let out in shock. The magnitude of Loâakâs words hit you like a poisoned arrow. Dreamwalkers? How could that be true? The last dream walker to walk the ground of Pandora was Jake SullyâŚand that was 14 years ago.
âI-I thought we were going to die. They treated us like we were animals. As if we were the ones who invaded their planet and deserved to be captured and hung. All I felt was primal fear and the instinctual reaction to protect my family. We were held hostage until my parents and brother came to our rescue. But, it was too late by then. They figured out who were and our relation to my father. They even captured SpiderâŚâ Loâak had to stop speaking. The familiar tightening of his throat began. You could tell he was about to cry, but you pushed further. Honestly, your brain was fuzzy at this point. It was so fuzzy to the point that you didnât even process the news of Spider, your tiny human friend, being captured. It completely slipped your mind. You didnât have time to think about the implications of this news as you could only process one thing and one thing only: Loâak was leaving. The Sullys were leaving!
âWhat does that have to do with you leaving the forest?â
âDonât you understand, syulang? They know who we are. Our lives are at risk! The whole clan is at risk if we continue to stay.â Loâak explained in frustration. âI donât want this, I donât want to leave the only place Iâve ever known. How can I leave the forest while Spider is out there, going through Eywa knows what, with those demons? How can I leave you?â Fat, wet tears streamed down Loâakâs face as he spoke.Â
Crack. The sound of your heart breaking reverberated in your ears. All you could hear was a dull ringing. Your best friend, the love of your lifeâhow could he just leave like that? You questioned the will of Eywa. How could she be so cruel to tear you both apart? Especially after your confession the other day? You wanted to curse and scream and cry all at once. However, you knew you had to be strong for Loâak.Â
You held Loâakâs body in silence. You were both in a catatonic state. An hour or so had passed since his initial confession. The atmosphere was serene, a heavy contrast from the dark storm brewing in both of your minds. This may be the last time you would ever get to hold Loâak like this and fully enjoy his presence. All of the years spent together slowly meshed in your mind as you tried to calm yourself down with memories of happier times. You honestly didnât know how you could survive this life without your other half.Â
Loâak wasnât faring any better than you. His continuous sniffles vibrated on your body. He barely looked up, wanting to savor the feeling of your bodies pressed together in such an intimate way. His mind was in a haze as he processed the situation. This wasnât real life, it couldnât be real life. His life was perfectly balanced with you. If Eywa sought to protect the balance of life, why would she take you away from him? Why would she take away Spider?Â
Tomorrow is never promised. That is a cruel lesson you learned today. It was probably best that you and Loâak head back to the village and sleep, but you didnât want this night to end. You wanted to savor every last moment. Memorize every stripe on Loâakâs body, every green speck in his eyes, the way his eyebrows moved, and how his body felt right next to yours. How could you say goodbye to 14 years of memories in one night? It seemed impossible.Â
As you stared at the light reflecting off the pond, you knew there was one topic you had to broach. You werenât sure if this was the right time, but it was the only chance you had. After all, Loâak only had one more day in the clan before his family set off to Eywa knows where. You knew the forest of Pandora held many clans, but you suspected his family would be going somewhere even further than that. You tried to calm the rapid pace of your heart, but your nerves refused to settle down. So, you sent a quick prayer to Ewya, turned to Loâak, and quietly said, âThe other night, when I said I love you, why didnât you say it back?â
You didnât want to fight with Loâakânot on a night like this, where blood has been shed and a family has been torn from normalcy. But, you had to talk to Loâak about this. What if you never saw him again? You couldnât live the rest of your life with unresolved feelings. It would drive you utterly insane and wreck your soul for as long as you live.Â
(Y/N)...â
âIâm being serious, Loâak. Why did not you say it back? I know this is the last thing on your mind right now, but you cannot leave me hanging. You owe me more than that and you know it,â you said with determination in your voice.Â
You then stood up. This was not a conversation you could have sitting down. The anxiety coursing through your veins made it impossible to sit still. Loâak followed your actions and stood up too.Â
âI was afraid,â he replied.
âAfraid of what Loâak? We have always been so honest with each other.â You thought you would always understand Loâak, but perhaps you were mistaken. You didnât understand what there was to be afraid of. You both loved each other, shouldnât that be enough? You failed to realize that love isnât enough sometimes. There are forces beyond your control that make love unsustainable and out of your reach, despite how close you are to it. Eywa did not teach you this lesson. Loâak did.Â
Loâak was faced with two choices at this moment: he could confess his love to you or he could deny it. He so desperately wished he could choose the first choice. Something within him would not allow himself to whether it was because he was about to leave and he could not promise himself to you, or because he was so far deep in his inner turmoil. Loâak felt anger bubbling in his chest. This anger wasnât directed towards you, but himself. He cursed his inability to allow himself to fully love you because of his internal issues. No, he justified the second choice in his mind with weak reasons as to why he could not confess his love.Â
If he said confessed, Loâak knew you would spend the rest of your days waiting for his return. If he ever returned. You deserved more than that. You deserved someone who could love you now. The prospect of you waiting for him, only for Loâak to stay the same Naâvi he was now, a version of himself that wasnât proud of, haunted him. Yeah. Loâak framed his reasoning to focus on you, rather than himself because it made the harsh reality less painful. Damn the fact he was leaving, he would wait 100 years for you too if he confessed. The reality was Loâak could not confess his love because he couldnât give his all to you, not when his judgment and self-worth were clouded by thoughts so dark that Eywa would be heartbroken to learn one of her children, whom she created with love and adoration, did not love himself.Â
Either way, he was about to break your heart for the second time within days.Â
âYou are the other half of my soul and if there is any person who can understand me, it is you. But, I cannot love you. Iâm sorry syulang.â There was a sorrowful look across Loâakâs face. Your body deflated at his words and the familiar sting of tears gathered in your eyes. He didnât want to continue, but if was going to break your heart, you at least deserved a proper explanation.
âYou are the most lovely and wonderful woman on this planet; the idea of you not being in my life hurts more than a palulukan attack. But I swear on my life to Eywa when I say this, but it is not you. Itâs me. You have always been this positive being in my life, and I always hoped it would rub off on me and make me a better man. I thought, maybe if that ever happened, we could be together in the future. I would finally be worthy of all the love you have to offer. I am not good enough for you. I would only drag you down with the weight of my heavy problems,â Loâak finished.
âBut itâs not your choice to decide who deserves me,â you let out with an exasperated tone. âHow can you stand here in front of me and deny the bond we have? The love we have? The other day when I confessed that I see you and you ignored it, I brushed it off my shoulder because I was sure, with every fiber of my being, that you see me too. That you love me. But now you are leaving, and Eywa knows when the fuck you are coming back, and you can't even admit it out loud?â you questioned.Â
âDonât you get it? I am not doing this because I want to deny the bond we have. I feel our bond every day from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. Even in my dreams, you are there. Your essence is built into the foundation of my bones. I just canât love you. No good would come of it. Iâm the clanâs outcast. Yes, we are best friends and we know each other like the back of our palms. But I won't let you carry the burden of my imperfectness,â Loâak choked with a sob at the end.Â
Without missing a beat, you tirade, âI think everything you are saying is complete bullshit. How could be absolute about something that has not been realized? We have spent the last 14 years together. I know you better than I know myself, Loâak. And I know you see me too, so what are you so afraid of? There is nothing that you could ever do that would scare me away from loving you. I love you for who you areâflaws and all. I notice everything about you, the good and the bad. I know you have feelings so big and nerve-wracking that you do not know how to handle them except by convincing yourself that they are true. But you cannot stand in my face and claim that this is for my own good. No, you are saying all this because you are too scared of the possibility that I might see through all that and decide that you are not worth the trouble, that every judgment the clan and your father says about you is right.â
You stepped a few feet away from Loâak and then turned towards the direction of the village. He hadnât said a word since you finished your speech. Your entire back was facing Loâak until you turned your head over your shoulder to look back at him. The tears that pooled in your eyes began to flow like a sad waterfall that was dying, the tears slowly rolling down your stripped cheeks in an antagonizing matter. Your golden eyes stared into Loâakâs. He could see the hurt etched across your iris and he was sure his eyes looked just as pathetic and broken. It was a moment that would forever be engrained into Loâakâs memory. You opened your mouth and delivered the final blow to this already crestfallen night,
âMaybe I was wrong, maybe you donât see me. Because if you truly did, you would know that I would not care about your weaknesses. I donât even care about them now. I refuse to believe that you cannot love me too. You are a lot of things Loâak. A coward is not one of them. Iâll see you tomorrow to say goodbye.âÂ
And at this moment, Loâak knew this was the biggest of all his fuck ups. He had managed to ruin a lot of good things and moments. Never knowing when the party is over and when the business began. When it came to you, his sweet tĂŹyawn, Loâak never made any serious mistakes. So why was he doing it now? Loâakâs eyes burned as he stared at your figure walking away from him and the future you couldâve had together.Â

âHey, babe, Iâm worried about you. I havenât talked to you in a while and I miss you. Call me when you get this.â That was the third voicemail Loâak left you this week. Youâve been avoiding him at all costs, not wanting to see him after you let your lingering thoughts and fears get the best of you.
You worried that he would feel trapped by you, especially since the pregnancy wasnât planned. When you found out you were pregnant, you were happy, but also scared about your future. When you told Loâak the news, he was happy and excited too, but after that, you didnât know how he felt. He could be wishing he never had a baby with you for all you knew and that was what you feared the most.
As you sat at the reception desk at your job, greeting visitors coming in, you saw someone who you werenât expecting or wanted to talk to.
ây/n, we need to talk.â He was tired of you avoiding him. You havenât been answering his calls, texts, acting as if you werenât home when he came over, he was sick of it all and he wanted to get to the root of the problem.
âOkay, I get off in a few minutes. You can meet me at my house.â Loâak didnât verbally reply, he just nodded and walked out the revolving doors of the building. You already knew exactly what he wanted to discuss and you werenât ready for the conversation, but you were definitely preparing yourself.
â
When you made it home, you saw Loâak already standing by your front door, waiting for you to come unlock it. Once both of you walked inside and you put your bags down, you sat on the couch and Loâak sat beside you.
âBaby, why have you been avoiding me? Iâve been missinâ you like crazy and you havenât been talkinâ to me at all.â You could see it in his eyes that heâs truly been missing you, that heâs longed for you ever since you excommunicated him from your life.
âDo you regret this?â You asked almost above a whisper, scared to hear his response to your question. You were already nervous about this conversation, so you thought it was best to just be straightforward with him.
âDo I regret this?â Loâak repeated the question, confused to what you were implying.
âDo you regret this?â You gestured to your slightly swollen stomach. âHaving a baby with me. D-Do you feel like I ruined your life?â Your voice faltered as you talked, your eyes filling with tears until it pooled over and streamed down your cheeks.
âWhat? No, of course I donât.â He answered swiftly, not even giving his answer a second thought. He loved the fact that his child was growing inside you, he was ecstatic to know that you and him would raise a child together.
âMe getting pregnant changed our lives completely, and I feel like I changed yours for the worst.â The spreading pain Loâak felt in his chest was almost unbearable. To hear you say those words hurt him because he knew that this feeling has been hanging over your head.
Loâak placed his hands on your face and used his thumbs to wipe away your tears. âI don't feel that way and I never will. You are the light of my life and the mother of my child. I could never regret having a baby with you. Iâm in love with you, whatever happens between us, Iâll always love it. I would choose you and this family in every single lifetime.â His tone was so soft and loving, the way his words flowed through the air made you feel an indescribable sensation. You felt so much peace knowing what Loâak was feeling and that his feelings were all positive.
He leaned your head downward a little and placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. âThe life I will forever want is with you and our baby.â He softly smiled, placing his hand on your stomach and feeling the baby begin to kick.
Watching him lit up as he talked about the baby and his future with you made you wonder what you were so worried about. He made you see that he was here for you, forever and always.

I hope you enjoyedđŠˇ!

Loving You
Characters: Loâak x fem!metikayina!reader
Genre: Slight hurt, fluff
Warnings: somewhat pinning, awkwardness
Summary: Mending Loâakâs wounds after his fight with your friend Aoânung. Surprisingly he keeps coming back to your pod for âtreatmentâ. Would sparks fly between the two of you? Or would they die?
âYou should really stop picking fights,â you scold the boy. You were gently cleaning up the blood from his wounds. This was the 3rd time this week the Omaticaya boy came into your pod with purple and red bruises all over his face.
âItâs not my fault that Fish Lips has such a punchable face,â he responded without missing a beat. You get a weird sense of deja vu because this is the exact conversation you had the other two times he came in before. Instead of shaking your head and rolling your eyes like usual, you decide to give Loâak, that was the boyâs name, some words of wisdom.
âListen,â you grabbed his chin and turned it to face yours. Despite the scowl, he was giving you and the purple bruises, he wasnât that bad looking. âAoânung is a piece of work, and everyone here knows it. But sometimes you gotta bite your tongue and pick your battles.â
âYou sound like my Dad,â he rebuts.
âWell maybe you should listen to him then,â you started dabbing some salve on his eye and he only hummed in response.
After you were done, instead of saying thanks and leaving like others, Loâak decided to hang around the place. You thought it was odd the first time heâs done that, and you still do, but you found yourself enjoying his company.
You started noticing that heâll come to your hut every few days, complaining of a headache or âgetting too much Sunâ as if that was such a thing.
âPlease, I need something for my headache. Itâs been killing me all day long,â he complains, and even rubbed his head for extra measure.
And he was complaining about leg pain the other day, and rubbed red paint on his leg for the âdeep cut I got from a rockâ a week ago.
You had the suspicion that he was faking all of these ailments or heâs just really, really unlucky. but allowed him to stay, as long as he wasnât in your way.
âReally? Back again, are we Loâak?â You asked him with a blank stare.
He lies, without any shame but you stop him right there.
âListen, I know that you are lying. I suppose itâs becauseâŚyou want to be friends?â You asked.
To be honest, you wanted to say girlfriend rather than friend but you did not want to get too ahead of yourself. Why mess up a potential good thing?
âOh! Um, yea I wanna be friends with you which is why i was doing all of that. .â He looks to the ground, his skin turning purple. âBut like..your friends with Aoânung soo.â He trails off, still not looking at you.
You give him a little chuckle, heâs pretty cute when heâs shy like that. âMe being friends with Aoânung will not stop me from being friends with you, Loâak. Come in.â And the rest was history.
As you went along the day, doing your duties, Loâak would make a few terrible jokes and some absolutely horrible one-liners. But they never fail to make you laugh until your stomach hurts though.
One of his most memorable ones was,â Are you my ikran, because Iâm want to be with you forever?â
You nearly spit out your water and couldnât look at him for the rest of the day without bursting into a fit of giggles. If you remember correctly, he would avoid your eye contact with you too but it was probably because he was embarrassed.
You didnât want to get your hopes up. Heâll also tell you all things about the forest and the animals that lived there.
âYou know those animals my family and I arrived on?â he asked.
âYes,â you say instantly. How could you forget them? You never saw something like that before in your life. They were a bit scary but you wanted to get closer anyway. Maybe touch their heads.
âWell,â he leans against the wall next to you, âthey are called ikrans. You claim one when you become of age and want to be a hunter.â He went on to explain the details of how you claim an ikran that left you speechless.
âWhat happens if you were to die?â You questioned.
âOh well,â and he stops to think about it.
âYou're telling me no one has died trying to claim a beast that wants to kill them?â You asked, looking at him in shock.
He gives you a little shrug and looks equally confused and stunned. And just as you were interested in his life, he was interested in yours.
âWait, so you're telling me that they are animals that you spiritually connect with?â
You stifled a laugh at his excitement, âYes, and they are called Tulkans.â You started to explain the whole process to Loâak, and you watch as he hangs on to every word that you say.
âWow, that-thatâs sounds so cool. Can you introduce me to your spirit sister?â
âOf course I will, when they come back Iâll come get you.â Peak out the window to see it has gotten dark out. âBut the eclipse is coming soon and your parents might be waiting for you,â you reminded him.
âOh câmon, itâs not a rule, itâs a mere suggestion. Now tell me more.â He looked up at you with enthusiastic eyes.
You avoided them the best you could, someone had to have a good head on their shoulder in this friendship. You shake your head and push him out the door.
âNo, no Loâak. You are going home now, go.â With one final push heâs out the pod and you stand there blocking the entrance.
For a while, he just stands there looking at you. He seemed lost in thought so you jab in the shoulder.
âHey! Pandora to Loâak.â You come closer to him and lightly tap on his forehead. âAnyone home?â
You didn't realize how close you were until he looked into your eyes and you saw his widened slightly. You didn't know what to do. Everything in you wanted to move in closer, to kiss him.
But does he want that? Would he reject you? Hate you forever because of it? You certainly did not want that to happen. He was a good friend and if thatâs all he wanted then that would be enough for you.
He clears his throat and the blush travels all the way down to his neck, âUm, so thereâs know way to say this but like, I kinda wanna kiss you. Um, so can IâŚ?â
You brought his face to yours and kissed him in response.
You didnât know what you were doing, and you had a feeling that he didnât either, but you were excited for what the future could hold either way.

The Prefect Pair
Loâak x fem!Reader
word count: 900
language: yawne- beloved
description: In which you and loâak have always been the perfect pair. Inspired by âperfect pairâ- by Beabadoobee
ââââââââ
Loâak, the boy that had been in your life since you were able to walk. He had been by your side for a long as you could remember. As children you were joined at the hip wherever loâak was there was no doubt you were close. It was almost unspoken that you two would be mated but as time passed you two began to speak less. You always knew the boy and he would always know you but suddenly there was nothing to say in each others presence.
The similarities that once connected you soon turned into fights. You were constantly fighting with the boy over stupid thing, and you did not know why. He such an idiot with his pretty eyes, sharp face and stupid smile. He had so much control over you and it seemed as if he was always using it to toy with you.
âCan you just let me be for one moment!â Your frustration echoed through the forest as you glared at the boy who continued to critic your bow skills.
âWhat?! Iâm literally the one helping you.â
âUgh, you are no different than me we are one in the same!â Huffing you turned to the boy behind you. You felt your face heat up as his face scrunch up as anger radiated off the boy. Bringing his face closer to yours, words were about to leave his mouth but you were quick to make space not being able to handle the proximity.
Slamming your bow down you stormed into the forest. You heard footsteps behind you as loâak followed in an angry pursuit. Giving up on losing the boy you plopped down on a rock as you glared up at him as silence engulfed you both.
âGod y/n you know I hate silence.â
âWeâll itâs either that or fighting and iâm tired of fighting.â
The boys demeanor changed as the confession rolled off your lips. Lowering himself to your level he looked at you with his fierce yellow eyes.
âThan why start fights?â It was almost taunting the way he squinted his eyes and turned his head in a condescending way. You hated the way the expression made your stomach do flips. Hissing you pushed the boy onto his butt bringing yourself to your feet in a hurry.
âStop toying with me! You know how to break my heart in two and you keep messing with it!â Your body shook in anger as you yelled at the boy. Reacting to you he quickly got to his feet as grabbed your wrist as you tried to turn and run away.
ďżź
ďżźâWho do you think your talking to! What are you on about?!â Hissing the boys grip tightened on your wrist. You felt it begin sting at the force of his grip. Tears dropped down your face as you looked at the boy. Grip losing the boy relaxed as his saw your teary eyes.
âY/n I didnât mean-â
âYou are always so loving towards me, but than stop talking to me and flirt with other naâvi. You claim to know me but you never show me that you do. You show that you want me so why donât you say it to my face?!â
Silence settled around you as you poured your heart out to the boy. Like many other times you were left in silence.
âI do not expect anything to change, just like the other times.â
Almost as if pandora could feel your heart plummet eclipse set in as your hopes sunk. The forest around you came alive as you avoided the boys gaze finding the grass much more interesting than his eyes.
âNo, I do not flirt with them they come to me, you are the only one I want y/nâ
The confession rolled off of Loâak tongue as his free hand cupped your check as he turned your head to face him. Removing his hand from your wrist the boy pulled out a necklace adorned with beautiful feathers and pears.
You could not find words as you watched the boy. Your stomach seemed to be in your throat as your heart was beating out of your chest. His eyes searched yours for permission as he brung the necklace close to you. Suddenly the ability to speak was taken away from you as you only gave the boy a nod. Clasping the necklace around your neck the boy uttered the very words you yearned to hear.
âI see you, y/nâ Tears dropped down your eyelids looking into his alluring eyes.
âI see you loâak.â You would never forget the way his eyes lit up in joy as you returned his words.
ânothing has changed, I have always loved you.â His words sent butterflies in your stomach as he interlocked his four fingers with your three.
You could not take the proximity anymore as you crashes your lips into his. You did not wish for this moment to end. Pandoras forest lit up around you as you kissed the boy you have always wanted. His lips were soft against your as he kissed you as if he was starved.
Gasping for breath you pulled away as you stared into the bioluminescent face mear inches from yours. You were chest to chest looking up at the boy, pulled so close almost as if he wanted to make you one.
âMy Yawneâ kissing your forehead he uttered those words and thatâs when you decided you never wanted to leave this moment.
ââââââââ
a/n-little drabble while I continue to make Voids new part! :)

Ever since Lo'ak got back from the hunting party you've had an attitude, why? He didn't know. All he knew was that it was getting on his nerves.
Normally he'd try to sleep with you as you had a whole cabin to yourself but you refused to let him this time, he had no choice but to sleep in his family's hut without you by his side.
As the weeks passed on he grew more and more irritated till he finally just snapped. Your mate dragged you to your cabin, once inside he grabbed the small rebreather mask putting it around his neck before sitting on the couch and pulled you onto of him.
The scientists were nice and lent you the couch which you were thankful for, it was softer than your bed so the nights where Lo'ak didn't sleep over you'd sleep on the couch instead.
âLet go of me Loâak!â You try to get off and away from him but heâs much stronger than you, âNo, youâve been acting like a brat ever since I came back. Whatâs the reason? Hm?â
âGo fuck yourselfâ you hit his chest. This only makes your mate laugh âOh yawne..Iâd much rather fuck you instead.â
With that he tore off your top and bottoms before moving his tewng to the side, his cock slapping against his stomach.
Instead of prepping you he placed one hand on your waist lifting you up slightly while the other lined his cock with your dripping hole.
âLoâak wa-â a scream left you as he plunged his entire length into your pussy, he let out a hiss at his tight you were.
Not giving you any time to adjust loâak began lifting you up and down his cock while looking at the buldge that appears in your stomach.
âCanât speak now? You had a shit ton to say beforeâ your mate scoffed now slamming you down onto him, he angled his hips now hitting your spot repeatedly.
âL-loâ you moaned trying to speak, your climax was approaching rapidly and he knew it too by the way you squeezed around him.
âBeg for it, and maybe Iâll let you cum.â Accepting defeat you gave in âPlease yawne..can I cum?â
Loâak chuckled âNot convincing enough mamasâ he sends a particularly hard thrust inside making you scream.
âYou vonvä..â he tilts his head âWell thatâs not nice baby, I guess you donât want to cumâ
Sighing you just decide to give him what he wants âPleasePleasePleaseee let me cum.â To add on you lean forward kissing his neck.
Your mate moans throwing his head back âShit baby.. iâm gonna-â a low growl rumbles through him as his hips still, you can feel his warm cum spilling into you.
âYour such a brat..â he laughs softly catching his breath, âYes but you love meâ you place a kiss on his cheek. Loâak canât deny that, you may be a brat but your still his love.

"Misheard Words, Broken Bonds"
⤠Featuring: Lo'ak x Female Reader
⤠Summary: Neteyam was close to you and one of your friends (Lisya) when you were younger. Lo'ak always thought you liked his brother. But when Neteyam died and you got mated with Lo'ak, he was always scared that he was your second choice.
⤠Word count: 2k
⢠I'm Evelight_Navi on wattpad, this is part of my one shot collection.
â˘â˘----------------------â˘â˘
"Neteyam would've been a good mate. If only he was still alive, life would've been so much different." Lo'ak heard you say to your friends as he walked by. Your friends all giggled. Lo'ak had slowed down, not believing what you just said. "You know death doesn't stop you from love that person." One of your friends replied. He shook his head as he started walking away. He couldn't listen to this. You were almost out of Lo'aks earshot. "But Lo'ak is a loser." He could barely hear you say it. It made him ball his fists. How could you say that? He was your mate! It made him so furious that he drowned out everything you said after that. He mated with you and you betrayed him.
Lo'ak had snapped. He always thought you would've mated with his brother if he was still alive. But you calling him a loser made him lose it. He had tried to be a good mate to you. Lo'ak never complained and was always there for you when you needed him. Or so he thought, you didn't need him. You need his brother. Even though he knew you never loved him like you did Neteyam, he never thought you would stab him in the back. He couldn't imagine you being so awful
Lo'ak had stromed towards you and your friends. He grabbed your arm and pulled you along with him. He still drowned everything you and your friends said out. He had walked far away with your arm still in his grip. You pleaded for him to let go, but he didn't listen. You didn't pull away. You just tried following his pace. He stopped somewhere on a distance beach, making sure nobody was within earshot.
Lo'ak let go of your arm and walked a bit further before stopping. You had grabbed your arm as you inspected it. Lo'ak had squeezed too hard, it was going to leave a mark. You knew he didn't mean to hurt you, so you dropped your arm as you walked closer to Lo'ak. "What is going on, Lo'ak?" Lo'ak turned around to look at you. He was silent, but you could tell something was bothering him. You reached your hand out, but he took a step back. His actions confused you more by the second. "You can tell me. I'm your mate, after all." You said, trying to reassure him. He shook his head and pointed his finger towards your chest. He tried to speak but was unable to get a word out. You took his hand that was pointing at your chest. "You can trust me." You said as you place both of your hands against your chest. He looked at your hands as he sighed. It made him calm down a bit, but he couldn't let this slide. "No." He said sternly as he took his hand of your chest.
Your eyes widened and ears slightly pinned back. "No?" You questioned him. "No, I can not trust you!" He said a bit louder. You felt your stomach drop as your ears pin back completely. What did he mean? You struggled trying to find your words. But Lo'ak had left your speechless. "I heard you say it." He almost whispered. He didn't think he could hear himself say it. If he did, it would become real and he didn't want that. "You heard me say what exactly?" It made him angry again. How could you deny it or prevent nothing bad was said? He clenched his jaw shut, trying to hold his anger in. You reach out to him again. You placed your hand on his cheek. Not long after, he pushed your hand away.
"How can you pretend you don't know?!" He said loud but not shouting. It shook you to your core. You had never seen Lo'ak react like this towards you. You knew he could be a hotheat, especially in the war but never towards you. Before you could say anything, he cut you off. He knew you weren't going to admit it yourself. "I heard you say it!" You shook your head still, not knowing what he was talking about. "I don't know what you're talking about." You said slightly raising your voice, trying to be heard. Lo'ak was fed up. He couldn't take you denying it anymore. "You called me a loser with your big mouth!!" He shouted not really knowing why he said that last part, it just came out. "So I have a big mouth?" You were shocked, but it still hurted you. Lo'ak didn't answer, he just stared at you.
Now you were the one shaking your head. How could you insult you and accuse you of something you didn't say. "If I had a big mouth, you would know I never called you that!" You got slightly frustrated with Lo'aks attitude right now. "Well, that big mouth is good at lying!" He yelled in your face. You were now face to face, inches apart. "You can't accuse me of things I didn't say. You hear that loud enough, from my big mouth?!" You shouted back. Lo'ak took a step back while nodding his head. "Loud and clear, big liar!" You shook your head while taking a deep breath. "You can't call me a liar if I'm telling the truth. I'm your mate, you have to believe me!" You tried your best to sound calm, but failing.
"I could do a lot of things before mating with you!" He shouted, making you speechless once again. You looked at him as you swallowed painfully. "I know you were closer to Neteyam. But I never expected you to disrespect ME like that!" He placed his hands on his chest as he said 'disrespect me'. You were about to speak, but Lo'ak cut you off. "Well, congrats, you killed my spirit!" You just stared at him with your ears pinned back, not believe what he said. You searched for the guilty in his eyes, but there was none. There was only anger to be found.
You looked down before walking away from him in silence. "You leaving means I'm right!" He shouted, making you stop in your tracks. You were about to look over your shoulder and say something. But you stopped mid way, not knowing anything to say to him. He was your mate. Why could he say you killed his spirit? You looked forward again as you started walking away again. You had left Lo'ak standing alone on the beach with nothing but his feelings. He had been so angry that he pulled off the necklace you made for him and chucked it towards the water. It bounced off the water a couple of times before sinking into the watery depths.
Lo'ak had slept on the beach that night, not wanting to go home. But as it got brighter, he knew he needed to go home. He wasn't ready to face you yet. He had said a lot of things he didn't mean yesterday. He had been frustrated that you couldn't admit what you had said to your friends or just apologizing. It had hurt him that you thought of him as a loser. He knew that didn't excuse his hurtful words. He had hurt you more than you had hurt him, and he knew it. He had slowly made his way back to the clan. Lo'ak looked around nervousness. He felt like everyone knew what happened. He felt like he was being watched, and that they were silenty judging him.
As he arrived home, he stood in front of it, closing his eyes as he sighed. He took a deep breath before walking in, ready to apologize. He expected to see you broken down. Instead, he was greeted with an empty home. It confused him, so he called out your name. Yet again, being met with nothing but silence. You weren't home, so where could you be. As Lo'ak walked out of your home, he was met with a familiar face. It was Lisya, one of your closest friends. Lo'ak rolled his eyes, not wanting to talk to her. But the relief on her face told him a different story. "Oh good, you're here! Where is Y/n?" She announced as she looked over Lo'ak shoulder, not seeing you.
"We had an argument. Did she come home yesterday?" Lo'ak questioned Lisya as he secretly became more worried. "No, I thought she was with you since you didn't come home yesterday as well." She looked confused about the whereabouts of him yesterday. Lo'ak had looked very worried so that even Lisya could tell. "What did you argue about? Maybe that will explain where she went." He scoffed as she questioned him. Lisya crossed her arms and gave him a dirty look. "Don't be disrespectful. Y/n will tell me later anyway if you don't. " Lo'ak rolled his eyes before telling her everything that happened yesterday.
Lisya gasped and looked shocked as he explained. "You are such an idiot!" You claimed wanting to slap him on the head. "She didn't call you a loser! She said Lo'ak 'my lover'! She had told us you still had a tough time about Neteyams' death." It took Lo'ak breath away. Had he misheard you and accused you? "But the part about Neteyam being a good mate?" He questioned not fully believe he could've misheard everything. Lisya sigh before speaking. "She was talking about him being a good mate for me. You know, we were close. We even talked about getting mated once we were old enough, sadly we never had a chance." Lisya was holding back tears thinking about the love of her life. Lo'ak realized he should've believed you! It made him felling more guilty. He now had hurt you for no reason.
Lo'ak had pushed Lisya out of his way. Received a 'hey!' but ignoring it as he ran in the direction he hope you would be. He had run so fast he thought his legs would give in any second. As he arrived as the two rocks near the deep reef, he slowed down. He was afraid you wouldn't be there so he walked slow. As he got to the otherside of the two rocks he saw a familiar figure sitting on the edge with feet in the water. Lo'ak slowly approached you before sitting down next to you. You didn't look at him, you didn't even acknowledge him. He wrapped his trembling arm around your waist, pulling you closer. "Lisya told me the truth. I didn't know." Lo'ak started off as he looked down at you. You layed your head on his shoulder. Which made him smile slightly. "I'm so sorry. I said a lot of things I didn't mean. You didn't kill my spirit. If anyone did, it would be me! Please forgive!" He begged pulling you even closer, afraid that he would lose you if he let go. "You hurt me, Lo'ak. " You said as your voice cracked. You had been crying and reliving the argument over again eversince you had left him at the beach. "I'll do anything to make it up to you. I promise. " He said as you looked up at him. "And from now on, I'll always believe you!" He finished as he looked into your eyes. You nodded, giving him a small kiss on his cheek. "I see you." You both say in harmony. He could finally see he was never your second choice!
"Where is your necklace I made you?" You questioned him as you rubbed your hand against his upper chest. "You may need to make me a new one." Lo'ak said as he scratched the back of his neck. You laugh while nodding.

Unitalron â Lo'ak Sully x F!Reader

word count: 984
warning: none, slight angst/sad, no comfort, enjoy ig đ

unitalron: a rite of passage, in which na'vi seek their spirit animal. â in-depth desc. txeâlan: heart 'itan: son skxawng: moron, idiot Eywa: world spirit, Gaia. â in-depth desc.
The dressed-up Omatikaya clan gathered beneath the radiant glow of the bioluminescent flora of Pandora's forest, celebrating the triumphant return of Lo'ak from his Unitalron (dream hunt). Spirits were high, joy echoed through the trees and the air was filled with the intoxicating rhythm of the drums, music and fire crackling. The night may have even been deemed perfect, yet, amidst the celebration, a sombre and dull expression sat on Lo'ak's face as he walked.
She stood with her eyes flickering nervously as she searched the noisy crowd for him.
Having emerged still breathing from his Unitalron, Lo'ak strode through the jubilant crowd, his eyes only seeking out one singular female. The radiant connection the two forged during their time together now seemed fragile and faint, for a few weeks earlier, Y/N had been chosen as a mate by another male na'vi in the clan - Ata'ran. He was tall, muscular, sensible, a good hunter. Lo'ak yearned to claim Y/N as his own, but fate, it seemed, had other plans.
As the vibrant celebration unfolded, Lo'ak felt the weight of missed chances and lost love pressing down on him. He moved through the crowd with a heavy heart, catching glimpses of females in the arms of their chosen mate. The sight pierced his soul, a bitter reminder of what could have been him and Y/N.
As Lo'ak moved through the crowd, his eyes sought out Y/N. There she was, dancing covered in the bioluminescent paint, her hand intertwined with her chosen mate's. He felt as if his txeâlan was ripping apart.
Y/N's gaze met Lo'ak's and for a fleeting moment, their eyes locked. In that shared glance, the unspoken agony was evident. Her eyes reflected the sadness of a love unfulfilled, a connection severed by timing and circumstance. She wished it were Lo'ak beside her, and he wished he had been quicker in declaring his heart.
The celebration continued, but the music felt distant to Lo'ak. He shook his head in disbelief, looking down at the ground as if searching for answers in the soft glow of the bioluminescence. The echoes of laughter and joy surrounded him, but the hollowness in his chest drowned out the festive melody. As much as he tried to get his mind off of her, he just wasn't able to.
A heavy sigh escaped from Lo'ak's lips, carrying with it the weight of regret and heartbreak as his family danced around him.
"Lo'ak!" Neytiri called, leaving the dancing family and walking towards her youngest son. "Lo'ak, you are a man now!" She said proudly sitting down next to him. Lo'ak just nodded, flashing a small smile before looking back down to the ground. Frowning, Neytiri noticed how unusually quiet Lo'ak was.
"You want to tell me what's wrong?" A mother always knows.
Lo'ak looked up, debating on whether or not to seek comfort from his mother; she would understand. "Nothing's wrong." He replied, everything was wrong. Still sceptical, Neytiri didn't want to push it, at least not tonight.
Staring at Lo'ak with his shoulders slumped, she sighed. "Okay. Come dance with us." She said smiling again, hoping her joy tonight could be handed over to her son. Not noticing him budge, Neytiri looked ahead at their family, sighing. "You can make fun of your father." She added, tilting her head in which Lo'ak's ears slightly twitched.
However, Lo'ak stubbornly shook his head, a new faint smile on his less gloomy face. "Nah, dancing's not my thing ma."
"Look at all our people, 'itan. They are all here tonight, celebrating you. See, your father over there dancing like a skxawng? And your sister Kiri singing? It is all in the joy of you." Lo'ak just shook his head, avoiding eye contact with his mother. He was not going to be joining. Neytiri nodded, sadly walking back to the rest of the family. Jake looked at her, disappointed there was no boy beside his wife.
A mother always knows. Even without being told anything, she had a feeling it had something to do with the young female dancing with a male; the wrong male.
Lo'ak sat alone, watching the love of his life slip away by the minute, the pain etched across his features. Every minute spent with Ata'ran was a minute spent lost with Lo'ak and he knew they'd soon run out of time.
As the night slowly went on, the party began growing smaller and smaller, a few tired and returning to sleep.
Y/N was leaving with Ata'ran, however not before she glanced back at Lo'ak, her eyes reflecting the shared agony. The pain in Lo'ak's chest was palpable as he watched Y/N exchange a sorrowful look with him, a silent apology in her beautiful round eyes. She admitted she wanted to be with Lo'ak thus he longed for her, but the work of Eywa had unfortunately pulled them apart.
With a heavy heart, Y/N continued walking, leaving Lo'ak behind at his own celebration, his spirit broken and the echoes of what might have been lingering in his mind. The image of his luminescent skin dots lingered in Y/N's mind; never would she be able to cuddle at night with him anymore, never would she be able to hug him as more than a friend.
As the moons bathed Pandora in its gentle glow and the stars freckled across the sky, Lo'ak found himself beneath the hanging branches of the sacred tree. He looked up, seeking solace in the whispers of Eywa, wondering if the deity understood the ache that reverberated through his very own soul.
The quiet echoes of the festival still reached him here, a distant reminder of the joy that eluded him. Lo'ak sighed, the weight of the night pressing down on him. If only destiny had woven a different story, if only Eywa had granted him and Y/N the perfect ending they both wished for.

mb it was short đ
