Goddess, I am cackling at that last chapter. Impa totally knows that this is gonna be closer to a royal tour across Hyrule than Link actually finding her a different partner. I think Link has a hidden possessive streak when it comes to Zelda, so as hard as he tries, he could never actually find a different person for her. He totally thinks that it comes from his time as her appointed knight, but it is definitely because he loves her. Everyone in Hateno also knows it, since they were living in town for at least a little bit and can totally see that they were playing house together.

Also, my money is on Link being the one to break first and kiss her. Zelda is the one to go to Impa though and freak out. (Impa is also only setting Paya up cause she knows that Paya is too shy to find her own guy.)

Btw, could I suggest you putting this story on AO3 also? It would be easier for me to follow and get the updates. 

Link has a lot going for him to prove that you’re right:

1) Knight Oath to protect Zelda 5ever 🫡

2) Zelda = Hylia = revered = no one good enough for her = must protect her

3) probably raised by crusty horny soldiers with filthy mouths (puberty had to of been rough lol)

Also, I’ll consider getting an ao3 account if I make it five chapters. But tbh even if I got an account, I wouldn’t immediately post to it.

I know everyone shits a brick for ao3, but I don’t like them. It grosses me out that pedophilia and racism is given such a large and protected platform, so I hardly use the site 🤷‍♀️ Ik that probably means my stories will get less traction but idc, fanfic ain’t my life and I’ve got voices to uplift lol.
