@andauril said: Ok I guess then most of my female characters are unlikeable too, I mean Irith is emotionally removed and doesn't understand her sister and can come off as cold and bitchy despite caring a lot, Lledana is detached and a ruthless killer and has a soft spot for only 2 people, Liv is selfish and had to have her arse kicked into gear to be heroic, Liarith is paranoid and so focused on self-preservation that nobody but herself matters to her, Maellyn is pragmatic and ruthless and only fettered by moral principles not emotions, and also spiteful and overal not very likeable at all ... Ella is mistrustful and a loner who's so scarred by her childhood that she won't let anyone close.
And I love all of them :D They’re so wonderfully developed with complex personalities and flaws and their own goals and motivations and ughhhhhhhhhhh they’re all amazing!!
I love female characters that aren’t compassionate and understanding, who can be ruthless and pragmatic, regardless if they’re a villain or a hero, and you do those kinds of character so well!!
#andauril#irith lleryn#lledana hladu#liv#liarith#maellyn surana#ella#like i do love characters that are cinnamon rolls and do their best to be good people#but so often only men are allowed to do unlikable arsehole things and not only is it acceptable people so often adore those traits#whereas if a woman does an unlikable arsehole thing then she's condemned and hated and she's a bitch who deserves to be punished#and i hate that#which is why i love unlikable women who can be arseholes and can be ruthless and can be pragmatic#and not be punished for it

Thief-turned-honest becomes thief again because shinies are too good, also has to save the world because a certain god apparently has a shitty taste in his chosen or just likes to troll the other gods with his poor choices.
Knight turns assassin after a crisis of faith, becomes a vampire, also is totally evil but adopts precious little lizard child. Btw her lover got killed by her murder cult because he was innocent but nobody believed it and she had to fix the mess, rude.

Has Lledana changed in anyway as you've developed her? How much does she vary from your initial concept, if at all?
She did chance quite a bit, actually. Originally she was supposed to do both the Knights of the Nine questline and then have her face-heel-turn and become a member of the Dark Brotherhood. The only part which is left is that she was one of the knights for a short time, obviously.
She also wasn’t planned to be a vampire at first, but it just kinda happened. Her relationship with Lucien was never meant to be as close either, but she had her own mind.
And that she ended up a Skyrim character too wasn’t planned at all at first. Originally I just wanted to recreate Lledana in Skyrim, to have a more recent model of her ... and then suddenly she decided that she wanted to become the Listener again.
She just kept developing and developing from her original concept of a fallen knight to what she is now. Her adopting Cheeava was also never planned, but apparently she herself decided that she’s got a weakness for Argonian children xD

I wanted to sketch Lledana again, to see if I still can draw in my own style after drawing almost exclusively gemsonas ... I think my style even evolved a bit? Anyway I’m relatively happy with the outcome.

Lledana Hladu
Pros of dating Lledana Hladu:
- She’ll kill for you. I mean, literally. Just tell her whom you want to see dead and she’ll take care of it.
- Will not judge you. You could be a mass murderer and she won’t judge.
- She isn’t jealous.
Cons of dating Lledana Hladu:
- Her eating habits are nothing for the weak stomach.
- Emotionally distant.
- If you expect love confessions and touchy feelings, you’re at the wrong address here.

It's interesting how differently Lledana and Liarith deal with their vampirism. Liarith was turned against her will, attached on the road and left for dead. Becoming selfish and detached and paranoid was a defense mechanism, because suddenly she was an outcast and people would've been after her with forks and pitchforks if they ever found out what she is. She harbours a deep resentment towards what she has become, but is too afraid of dying to look for a cure. And after so many centuries of being a vampire and an outcast, she has unlearned how to be social. She can't return to the life she had before. She is trapped where she is now, and it only makes her loathe her vampirism more. Whereas Lledana, being an assassin at the time she was turned, already was a social outcast. Vicente Valtieri offered her the Dark Gift and she accepted, knowing what it would mean for her future. For Lledana, it was a chance. A chance to become an even better assassin. And unlike Liarith, she had a support network. The Dark Brotherhood accepted her, and welcomed her new nature. The rest of Tamriel might hate her if they found out, but in the Brotherhood she'd be welcome. And while she has become detached in the following centuries, it's not as much due to her vampirism than it's because of her profession as an assassin and the Listener. Lledana has come to embrace her nature, and has accepted the downsides that come with it. She choose this life, and therefore is at peace with what she is.

I wonder if Lledana ever offered to share her vampirism like Vicente Valtieri offered to turn her. I can’t really imagine she actively turned anyone, not because she would have qualms about it, but there just hasn’t been the opportunity for it. Maybe she did turn someone, but then it was probably involuntarily when she fed from some pour soul and said pour soul didn’t get to cure themselves early enough. But willfully? As the Listener, she never was as in touch with the other Brotherhood members as Vicente was and thus never really offered it.
She would probably offer it to Cheeava at some point, but it would be his decision (and he would decline).

What would Lledana and Liarith think of each other?
They actually do get along well along. Liarith probably thinks it’s mildly amusing that someone who is that much younger than her and who’s been part of the Brotherhood for much shorter than her was named Listener, but then, she mostly doesn’t care.
She has as much respect for Lledana as she possibly can have, but they don’t actually meet face to face until after Lledana has assassinated Emporer Titus Mede. Although she snares at Lledana’s remaining attachments, and especially can’t comprehend Lledana’s fondness of Cheeava.
As for Lledana, she definitely respects Liarith especially for her experience, but even she can’t help but be a tiny bit unsettled by the older vampires presence. Liarith is the unliving reminder of what could eventually become of her, and while Lledana is quite detached from the world herself, she isn’t yet ready to let go of her attachments to Lucien and Cheeava.
Regardless, she thinks that Liarith’s experience can only be beneficial to the Brotherhood, and will further extend the Brotherhood’s reach as they continue to expand anew.
It also surprises her when she learns that they share a bloodline and therefore are closer connected when she initially believed. It doesn’t affect them both a lot, but Liarith definitely thinks the coincidence of all of them being members of the Brotherhood is quite amusing.

Which of your OCs are more likely to murder their way out of a situation, and which are more inclined to be merciful at every opportunity?
*squints at Lledana and Liarith* These two are definitely most likely to murder their way out of a situation. Cheeava, while an assassin, has still enough conscience left to not resort to murder … Seriously, for an assassin he’s a cinnamon roll. Maellyn would also probably murder her way out, because she’s an awful person and Zevran an awful enabler.
Maraija and Sioulane are those most inclined to be merciful, with Lucille and Aurelia not far behind. But seriously, Maraija and Sioulane are precious cinnamon rolls too good for this world, too pure, and both view violance as a last resort. Which is a bit ironic in Sioulane’s case as she’s a warrior, but she’s … a bit known to spare her opponents if she can. (Thus I take great pleasure in breaking her. >:D)

What is all of your Elder Scrolls Ocs most prized possessions? I hope that's not to much.
I can’t really answer that, I’m sorry. For one, I just have so, so many OCs in Elder Scrolls alone ...
Well, Aurelia LaCroix loves her collection of Dwemer Artefacts to death, but she couldn’t pick a specific artefact, because they’re all important to her.
Liv generally perceives every shiny valuable piece of loot she kept as a trophy as her most prized ... thing. You can’t really call it a possession because she stole it, you know?
But Lledana or Liarith don’t care for material possessions anymore, they probably value their life more than anything else material ... and Lledana values Cheeava over anything else, but she would never ever admit to it.
But I really can’t answer the question for all of my Elder Scrolls OCs. For some, it changes. Others have too many. Others just don’t care anymore.

Can you tell us more about your eso ocs? We don't know much about them tbh.
Sure, why not?
Casaia Barillion is my Soulless One/Vestige. She was formerly the captain of the house guard of the noble Aldmer House of Nethereth (from which btw another of my OCs is descended) but fell from grace when the head of the House was assassinated under her watch. Since then, she had to earn her coin as mercenary until she was sacrificed to Molag Bal. The experience of being dishonored and of her death have considerable humbled her, and they’ve given her compassion towards the poor and unfortunate and the disadventaged that she didn’t have before. It doesn’t stop her from falling in love with no one other than Queen Ayrenn herself, though.
Mar-Ei is my Pact Hero. He’s an Argonian who used to be a thief until his sweetheart was beaten to death by the people he worked for because he didn’t met a deadline. He then had enough of all this and turned himself in to the guard, gave them the name of his boss and served some years in prison. When he was released, he swore off the life of a criminal. He’s trying his best, leading a honest life, being a good person … and then the ship he hired on sinks on the Coast of Bleakrock.
Ah, yes, and there’s Zulanabi Ashtebal, by the way a distant ancestral relative of Lledana Hladu. She’s an Ashlander, and proud of it, and you can bet she’s got a look of contempt and exasperation on her face everytime she has to deal with House Dunmer. She, too, ended up sacrificed to Molag Bal, and therefore is Soul Shriven, but managed to escape … to be found by Mar-Ei, no less. The harrowing experience of being sacrificed and the torture she had to endure in Molag Bal’s prison left her bereft of most of her memory, and now all is in a fuzz and she’s desperate to figure out what happened. She and Mar-Ei don’t always got along, and spend a lot of time bickering. And it definitely doesn’t sit well with her that she ended up a hero for the Pact. She couldn’t give two shits about the Pact.
And then there’s Riya Tigris, Hero of the Covenant. She’s a veteran soldier, and a proud Redguard. She’s seen a lot of battle and is therefore … well, let’s say she’s more on the pragmatic side than Casaia, although not ruthless by any stretch of the word. But she’s seen enough of the world to know that you gotta be sensible sometimes instead of following noble ideals 100% of the time. She is very loyal and devoted and believes in the Covenant and what it stands for. She’s also already in her 40s, so retirement is around the corner and she sometimes longs for it, but her work isn’t done yet and she won’t lay down her weapons when she’s still needed.
Then there’s Ellinor Vaun. She’s only 17 year old, but already an assassin of the Dark Brotherhood, and she uses her babyface to her adventage. No one suspects the sweet innocent girl to be a ruthless killer, after all. She is considerably hardened by the time she spent surviving on the streets as a child, and she ended up killing the son of her employer - a Daggerfall noble who took pity in her - after he made a move on her that she didn’t appreciate. Ellinor has a knack for magic that was honed by the Dark Brotherhood, and she fights with an axe. There’s definitely a fair share of anger and bitterness build up inside her.

ive just looked through your elder scrolls oc's and i love them?? i really like creating elder scrolls characters and personalities, and im wondering which of the nine divines (and daedric princes) your oc's worship?
2nd Era
Livia Aurelian worships the Eight Divines, especially Dibella. (Talos hasn’t been added yet to the pantheon in the 2nd Era.)
Black Cat Lyn doesn’t worship anyone, but pays begrudging respect to Nocturnal and occasionally asks her for success on her heists.
Liarith initially worshipped the Tribunal, but after becoming a vampire, she doesn’t worships any deity - neither Deadra nor Aedra.
Casaia Barillion worships Auriel.
Chases-Hidden-Truths views the Hist as her mentor and guiding light, although worship would be stretching it.
3rd Era
Lledana Hladu worships Sithis.
Lucille LaCroix is a Julianos worshipper.
Wades-in-Shallow-Waters revers the Hist.
4th Era
Irith Lleryn occasionally turns to Azura for guidance.
Adri Lleryn sometimes preys to Nocturnal.
Marila Wind-Runner worships Shor primarily.
Liv isn’t big on god worship, but the deity she has the most respect for is Nocturnal.
Aurelia LaCroix revers the Eight, primarily Julianos and Akatosh.
Cheeava revers Sithis, and views the Hist as an aspect of Sithis.
Knows-Many-Secrets isn’t really religious. The Hist is a thing somewhat, but its not really worship.
Lyn Alyan doesn’t worship anyone really. She’s a Nightingale, but its more a business contract than worship.
Leselya Nethereth worships Auriel.
Sajjan primarily worships the two moons/moon goods of the Khajiit, Jone and Jode.
Dar’Khajo, meanwhile, worships Rajhin, the thief god of the Khajiit.
