ok i have an idea for something and i've started writing it but i want to hear from you guys before i really get sucked in
what if negan was the one that found omega and not aaron and eric? now this would be non-canon considering that impeachment has already been written
here's the masterlist for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness if you want to catch up, also asks are open for any blurbs or drabbles for this series!

fun facts about LLATPOH
1) i wrote the entire outline while sitting at the circulation desk in the law library where i work (wonder how i got the idea)
2) it was originally supposed to be hamlaf, but i wanted to write a different ship for once (and i would like to branch out even more with my writing - jeffmads/marliza/lams/laflams/mulette... i’m down with all of it)
3) i kept trying to write scenes with lafayette and hercules, but it didn’t fit organically into the story :(
4) it was my original intention to have trans!james madison, but i’m really sick of stories where trans people don’t get a happy ending, so i changed it (one day, i will write a fic with trans!jmads)
5) originally john and alex were supposed to have a pet turtle named ellie, but i thought their break-up would be too sad if john had to take her away from alex
6) my first note on this fic was from @empyrealsakaki (aka my fave & the coolest)

Libel and slander laws, as they exist in the US, are a good thing. Truth is good, falsehoods are bad, and making knowledge impossible to find by crowding out the former with the latter is evil.
If someone spreads a bunch of lies about you, and no one will hire you because they believe those lies, speech has denied life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Rights are in conflict, and we must decide which right gets primacy in this situation. So: we protect speech, but it must be true speech. If someone proves, to the court’s satisfaction, that you knowingly spread untruths, and that these untruths have caused harm, then you are constitutionally obliged to stop.
Libel and slander laws, as they exist in the UK and Australia, are a bad thing. The defendant is presumed guilty until found innocent, must prove the statement is true while the plaintiff has no obligation to provide evidence that it was false. The plaintiff has more direct access to their own life than the defendant does, and thus naturally has better access to evidence in their favor, should it exist, than the defendant does. Placing such an extreme requirement on the plaintiff to provide evidence is not in the public interest of promoting truth, as it discards a staggering massive amount of useful, true utterances that cannot be proven in a court.
Furthermore, language as it is used by humans does not require certainty of truth for utterances, merely for the probability of truthfulness to be much higher than the probability of falseness. So it is not in the public interest for the natural, intuitive, everyday use of language to be so criminalized.
Finally, releasing the plaintiff from the requirement of demonstrating harm is simply absurd. Without demonstrable harm, there is no right transgressed. With no right transgressed, there is no justification to even consider transgressing the right of another.
The concept of “involuntary manslaughter due to reckless influencing” is like the US laws, not the UK laws. There is a dead body, that a right has been transgressed is beyond a shadow of a doubt. The question is, then, how do we balance the right to speech against the right to LLatPoH? I would argue thus: you are not allowed to knowingly single out and disparage a person in front of a dangerous audience.
A dangerous audience is one that, historically, upon seeing a person singled out and disparaged, causes demonstrable harm with an unacceptably high probability. A sufficiently large audience will, by sheer statistics, have enough crazies in it that it will cause demonstrable harm to anyone singled out and pejored. Sufficiently large audiences are dangerous. Small cult audiences are another example of a dangerous audience: if you know your fans are crazy, you should know better than to hand them a target.
Not knowing the audience was dangerous is an adequate defense. Audiences are presumed safe until demonstrated dangerous, but defendants are presumed to have the knowledge of the commons. A speaker is not expected to accurately predict new types of dangerous audiences, but is presumed to know the more common ones. If the audience type was novel, or uncommon, than the defendant is presumed unknowing and the prosecution is obliged to demonstrate knowledge to convict; conversely, if the audience type was common, then the defendant is presumed knowing and must demonstrate ignorance to be acquit.

New pursuit of liberty when????
i don't know! i havent been in twd mood in a while and im preoccupied with other projects
i do have a plan for a prequel where omega meets rick and daryl as well as two chapters following impeachment that involve the introduction of the saviours and omega's ongoing pregnancy and rehabilitation. plus an au where omega is found by Negan instead of eric and aaron
i'm always open to asks about this series like the snipets i've released before (daryl is the king of cunnilingus and risk) but as of right now, im focused on finishing off the 6k celebration bingo
also just as a side note, requests will be closing as soon as the last fic for the 6k follower bingo is published so get your ideas in now

LLATPOH was sooo good!!!! Honestly, i loved your characterization and you have a really nice flow to your writing. It's quick enough to always keep the interest, yet slow enough to really dig deep into detail and get the reader really immeresed in the story. WONDERFUL JOB!!
AAAAHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH MY DUDE 💜💜💜 YOU'RE THE BEST
