Vampire to Baby
Female vampire reader x Hope Mikaelson
Warnings: none
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope runs into Lizzie and Josie's room with Josie as soon as they hear the high-pitched crying of a baby. "What's going on- oh my god" Josie froze under the door frame.
Hope's eyes widen, walking towards where Lizzie is holding a wailing baby girl, close to tears herself as she tries calming the baby down. "Where did you get a baby?" Hope asks the blonde.
"Okay, so don't freak out, but I was experimenting with a spell and..."
Five minutes prior
"What are you planning to do with that anyway?" You look up from your magazine. motioning to the papers splayed out with spell work in progress.
"I want to turn things back in time, like if someone knocks a glass of juice over, the spell reverses it," Lizzie grumbles, the spell not working for the fourth time. She cleans up the spilled water on the ground with a towel.
"Okayyy, fifth time's the charm" Lizzie mumbles before chanting the spell in a different order this time.
"Nothing happened, ughhh" Lizzie groans and throws her head back. Her head snaps back up as soon as she hears the tiniest little whimper coming from where you were lying down on her bed.
She looks over to the bed and lets out an audible gasp. A few seconds later, tears start to run down your small cheeks. She now has a de-aged vampire who so happens to also be her best friend.
"You turned my girlfriend into a baby?!" Hope exclaims, taking a closer look at you.
"Now, don't be mad" Lizzie winces at the look on Hope's face. "It was an accident."
"My vampire girlfriend is now a baby" Hope stated, eyes blazing.
Josie composes herself and walks over to her twin and best friend. "Okay, before anything worse happens, how about we calm her down" Josie nods at you, tears still rolling down your face.
"Don't you think I've been trying to do that? It's not working!" Lizzie tells them while giving a look and bouncing you in her arms.
"Give her over" Hope sighs. And Lizzie happily passes you into the tribrid's arms. As soon as you're rested against her chest, your
"Rude. tell us she's your favorite without telling us" Lizzie crosses her arms.
"Okay, Hope, you look after y/n/n. Lizzie and I will find a way to reverse the spell. Come on" Josie leads her twin over to the desk with littered papers.
Hope nods and clutches you tighter in her hold, walking over to your guys' room across the hall.
"You're a really cute baby, ya know?" Hope coos. You reach up your tiny hand and clutches onto a wave of her hair. She examines you as you play with her hair. You're so tiny and small, and so vulnerable.
She hugs you closer to her, not wanting you near any danger. Since this school is like a magnet for dangerous things.
You blabber incoherent things as you snuggle into the older girl's chest. You like her, she's warm and you feel safe around her.
Hope looks around the room and lands on the cd player on the dresser. You insisted on keeping the player after finding it in a box of old 'junk' Alaric was going to throw away. Plus you had a bunch of cds anyways. And you argue a lot with Lizzie that cds are a better form of music than on a phone, but then again you weren't a child when cds were being used, unlike all of them.
"Hey, you wanna listen to some music?" She asks animaticaly. You gurgle in excitement, and Hope takes that as a yes.
She walks over the wooden dresser and turns the power button then the play button. And in a couple seconds, the intro to 'oops I did it again' plays. That must have been the last cd and song you were listening to. Hope chuckles at how you always blast either this song or 'you give love a bad name' to get her out of bed in the morning.
You giggle and start kicking your legs excitedly, liking the music. Hope chuckles and kisses the top of your head. She then has an idea and starts carefully spinning and dancing around the room to the song with you held in her grasp.
Hope carries you down to the dining hall/room. It's been a couple hours and she's been getting hungry, and she could also tell you're hungry as well.
You hide your face in her chest when someone walks up to you two. "Hey MG" Hope smiles, cradling one of her hands on the back if your head.
"Hey. What's with the baby?" He asks, his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. "Oh, uh, just babysitting, yeah...um, bye!" Hope comes up with a lie quickly before walking away, eyes widened. For being the one and only tribrid (vamp side not activated yet), she sure sucks at lying.
She walks over to the table of all the trays and places two plates on a tray. As she piles on food onto both the plates, she can feel eyes on her. So she quickly grabs utensils before walking as fast as she can with a baby and a tray of food up to your guys' room.
"Alright, food time" Hope sighs, sitting on the bed, against the headboard with the food in front of her. She grabbed lots of napkins, knowing there's going to be some kind of mess made.
"You look at the plates of food and clap your hands together before reaching towards the fruit cup on one of the plates.
Hope picks the fruit cup and a spoon up and starts to feed you. You munch on the strawberries, watermelon, and grapes happily. She watches as you eat the fruit, using her other hand to feed herself a piece of pizza as well.
Just as she lifted the spoon to feed you a grape, the door slammed open, presenting the twin siphoners. They quickly make their way inside, shutting the door behind them.
"We found a reversal spell" Josie tells hope and starts to explain what it intails.
"Okay, let's do it" Hope gently lifts you up off her lap and into the middle of the bed. You look up at her, confused, as she moves the food tray over to her desk.
She holds out her hands, inviting the two girls to siphon off her. They immediately grasp her hands and start to change the spell. Hope follows with after hearing the verse the first time.
In no time the spell took affect and where there used to be a baby you, is now a full grown vampire you. They all let out a simultaneous sigh of relief the spell worked.
"What the bloody hell happened?" You groan, standing up from the bed.
"Hah, so funny story..." Lizzie scratches the back of her neck.
No one at the Salvatore Boarding School ever thought they would come face to face with a real mermaid, let alone a siren. Sure the students had heard stories about sirens from headmaster Saltzman, but they never thought they’d meet one. These students had fought loads of different monsters that emerged from Malivore, all of them having been forgotten by society. In a way, this was kind of like that but without all the killings.
It was a rather hot day at the school so of course the only way to not die of heat stroke was to have a pool day. Kaleb was grilling some burgers, someone was blasting music through a speaker they had got their hands on, and the teens were basking in the rays of sun. It wasn’t every day that they got to be ‘normal’ teenagers, so for once in their lives they grasped the day by it’s handles and just prayed to god that it never ended. That’s how some of them felt, Jed on the other hand was about to dig is eardrums out of his head. It wasn’t the music playing through the speaker that had his ears bleeding, it was the sound of a humming that was coming from far out in the distant.
Jed has no idea how he heard it, but he did and it was the most annoying thing on the planet. He was trying to enjoy the day with his friends, forget about all the troubles for once, but this was just absolutely dreadful. Standing up from the pool angrily, the werewolf threw on a t-shirt and shoes and decided against his best intentions that he would follow the sound and see where it takes him. His friends watched as he hastily walked through the trees, mumbling to himself that he was losing his mind and hearing things that no one else could hear.
His friends followed him, abandoning their carefree day and wondering behind the wolf to see where he would lead them. Though they tried to call out his name to get his attention, it seemed it didn’t matter as he just walked farther and farther along until they all reached the lake that was infamous for it’s summer parties.
Jed stopped at the edge of the water, looking out into it as if he was waiting for someone- or rather something- to emerge from the depths of the water.
Out of curiosity, Kaleb came up from behind, clapping him on the shoulder to get his attention. It seemed to work, the boy turning to his friend with a shocked expression on his face.
“Man, why did you walk all the way out here for?” Kaleb was worried for his friend, it wasn’t like him to just up and wonder around aimlessly.
Jed looked at the vampire with almost dead eyes, as if he had been drawn there without knowing it. Without saying a word he turned his attention back to the water, where ripples began to form and the shadow of what looked like a person moved under the lake. Everyone watched as the shadow moved gently and delicately, not knowing it was being watched.
Y/N, the shadow being watched closely, had no clue that a werewolf had heard her song from so far away. If someone had heard her song it meant that they were meant to be together, they were what some would call ‘mates’. Never in a million years did she think she would find her mate, but she would be surprised in just a few minutes. Poking her head out of the water she began to make her way to the edge of the lake, her tail splashing against the water with every movement.
The group of teens watched as the scene unfolded in front of them and they finally saw what was under the water. It was a mermaid, no- it was a siren.
As if on cue, Y/N began to sing without knowing that the teens were only a few feet away from her. The sound of her voice grew Jed in closer again, this time he walked around the edge of the lake until he was where the siren was. Y/N was too lost in the song to realize that there was now a werewolf standing above her.
When she heard the crunching of leaves and twigs her eyes snapped open, eyes widening and then dilating. Fear coursed through her veins which causes her fangs to unsheathe themselves, along with her talons. Y/N hissed at the stranger, moving back as quickly as her body would let her. The team noticed this and rushed over to where Jed and the mermaid were, all of them getting ready for a fight. What they didn’t notice though was the fact that the girl in the water was absolutely terrified about all the people that were suddenly around her.
Jed had snapped out of the trance, his eyes refocusing and finally realizing where he was. “What-what is going on?” He looked around, confused as to what had happened and why he couldn’t remember walking all the way out to the woods. His friends looked at him as if they expected him to just automatically remember what he was doing and why they all walked out so far.
Y/N was still sitting there in the water watching all of them, wondering what they were going to do to her. If they were like any of the other humans, or even supernatural creatures, they’d try to capture her and sell her.
Josie was the first to make a move and step closer to the mermaid. She reached her hand out gently, showing that she wasn’t a threat. This eased Y/N’s anxiety a little bit, but not enough. “It’s okay, we’re not here to hurt you.” Josie’s voice was soft, as if she were talking to a child. Her head turned to the group who was trying to put a game plan together. “You brought our friend to you, we just wanted to know why.”
Y/N’s tail was still swishing behind her vigorously, but she had a weird gut feeling that she could trust the girl talking to her. Her talons retracted and she felt her fangs sink back into her gums. Y/N’s y/e/c eyes looked back between Josie and the other teens. Her gaze landed on Jed, who coincidently turned to look at her in return. Their eyes locked, a weird fuzzy feeling swarming in both of their chests. It then hit the mermaid that the only reason why Jed heard her song and the rest of his friends didn’t is because he was her mate.
This had to be wrong.
As fast as she could, Y/N moved her hand in front of her face and vanished from their sight. Though they couldn’t see her, they heard the swishing of water as she dove further into the lake. Josie looked back at the group, confused and unsure of what to do.
Seeing as though Y/N was not a danger to her or anyone else, the teens decided it was best to head back to school and figure out what to do next. While Jed’s friends were walking away he just stood there, waiting for her to resurface. There was no luck. Huffing in defeat, Jed followed after his friends.
-
Once the group arrived back to the school they were met with an angry headmaster. “What have I said about leaving the grill unattended? You’re luck the school didn’t burn down and that Wade turned it off before one of the kids got to it.” Oh he was angry. Simple things like this are what can set Mr. Saltzman over the edge sometimes, and this is just one of those times.
As he went to lecture the teens further he noticed how everyone seemed shaken up almost. He asked them what was wrong, and was surprised by what they told him. The adult quickly ushered his students inside and led them to the library. Sure he had come in contact with Sirens before, when the twins were still very young, but those sirens were different. They didn’t have tails and they were being used by ‘The Devil’ and doing his bidding.
“Are you going to tell us what’s going on?” Hope asked as she watched her teacher go digging through books until he found one he was looking for. He flipped page after page until he found the picture of a mermaid, then flipped it around to verify with the kids that this what they saw.
Lizzie rolled her eyes as her dad started rambling on about how the sirens that he’s encountered never had tails, but did like the water, how they didn’t have talons or fangs, it went on for a little bit before the other twin interjected. “So what if this siren is different than those two that tried to kill us when we were little? Did you see how scared she was when she saw us? There’s no way she’ll ever come near us.”
All eyes landed on Jed, who had zoned out yet again. Jed snapped out of his trance and looked up to everyone staring at him. “I think I need to go back out there.” He said looking between all his friends. They all had a ‘why the hell would you want to do that’ look, plastered on their faces. “I felt something out there, when I looked at her. Not when I was in that trance, but when I actually looked at her.” He sighed as he realized no one else is going to understand what he was saying because they didn’t feel it.
There was a small pause between all the chatter, no one really knowing what to say since this was such an odd situation. Hope was the first one to speak up, which was not a surprise to anyone. “If you want to go back out there we’ll support you on it.” With that being the only thing said the group went to put an emergency bag together just in case this mystery girl came out of the water ass-naked.
While the teens were headed back to the lake, Y/N was drying herself off and getting ready to book it back to the main road and skip town. If the word got out that she had been spotted then all the people that had been after her before would definitely be coming after her again.
The thoughts of that strange boy being her mate kept making her stomach churn, in both good and bad ways. She didn’t want a mate, she never wanted out mainly because she always had the idea that they would never truly love her. She’s spent her life on the run, hiding from hunters and black market dealers. There weren’t very many sirens like her anymore, so catching one meant big bucks for the capture.
Once Y/N was ready to go she started making her way through the forest, trying to stay as quiet as she could just in case there were other things out in the woods. Before she could head out on the road she had to grab her belongs from the hotel she was staying in, seeing as though she didn’t want to leave any evidence of her being here behind.
Lost in her own train of though, the siren hadn’t even realized that she was about to cross paths with the group of teens again, who were not going to be ready to see a fully dressed siren wondering around the woods. Y/N’s head perked up as soon as she heard the crunching of leaves growing louder and louder. Before she could try to find a place to hide she was met face to face with her mate and his friends, all of them holding a bit of surprise in their faces as they saw her standing in front of them.
“You- you can walk.” Jed stuttered out.
Y/N scoffed, “Of course I can walk, and I can talk.” The tone in her voice was anything but friendly, a little warning sign for them to back off. When the group didn’t say anything, Y/N started to walk past them, hoping that they’d just let her go in peace.
How she was wrong.
As she started to walk past Jed had had reached out and grabbed her wrist, a rookie mistake for anyone who didn’t know how insanely strong a siren was. Without hesitation Y/N turned around, hand landing flat against the werewolf’s chest. It was a flat handed punch of sorts, strong enough to send Jed flying a few feet away from her. The group watched as she did it so effortlessly, not even batting an eye as Jed struggled to regain his breathe and get up.
For whatever reason, whether it was the mating bond or just the growing feelings for the girl, Jed was seeing stars and not just from how hard he had just hit his head.
“What the hell was that for? We weren’t going to hurt you!” Lizzie yelled angrily, throwing her hands up in the air. Y/N shrugged.
“I do not like being touched, and I do not like any of you.” She stated simply. “Now, if you don’t mind.” As she went to make her way past them again, Hope stood in her way, a sarcastic grin on her face.
“Yeah, you’re not going anywhere till you tell us why Jed is the only one who’s able to hear your siren song.” The Tribrid crossed her arms over her chest as she awaited an answer.
Sighing, Y/N looked back at Jed who was standing up and making his way back to his friends. The siren looked back at the teens with a straight face. “He can hear my siren song because, unfortunately for the both of us, he is my mate.”
There were small gasps from the group, but noy from Jed. When Y/N looked back at the young wolf he was smiling, like he was actually happy about the announcement.
“You’re my mate? No wonder I was in such a daze, I mean of course it was probably your siren song, but I could feel the bond and how close you were and all I wanted to do was to just come find you-” Jed’s ranting was caught off by Y/N putting her hand in the air to get him to shut up.
“You’re happy about this? Wouldn’t you rather be with someone of your own kind? A fellow werewolf?” Y/N questioned.
Jed shook his head as he took a bold step forward to the girl, “I’m just happy I found you, I never thought I’d find my mate.” If it weren’t for the fact that everyone else was around the two mates, Jed probably would have tried to kiss Y/N, but he knew it was much too soon for that. Plus, she’d probably throw him against a tree again.
There was a silence as no one had any clue of what to say, but one thing was for sure and everyone’s stomachs were growling for the barbequed food they had left behind at the school.
Kaleb clapped his hands together to gain everyone’s attention, “Why don’t we head back to the school, get something to eat, and you two can uh- sort this whole thing out. Sound like a plan?” Before anyone could say anything he started walking back in the direction of the school, the others following behind him.
Y/N was going to wait till they were far enough ahead and then make a run for it, but when she went to turn around she hit her face straight into Jed’s chest. The boy was smiling down at her, which was kind of creepy in a way, but he couldn’t help it. Jed started walking behind his friends, and reluctantly Y/N followed them.
Reaching the school felt like it took hours since they were all so hungry, but as soon as they reached the grill where all the food was still warm it felt well worth the wait. Everyone started to fill their plates, talking and passing food. Though Y/N was hungry, she didn’t want to eat anything that was handed to her just in case they were trying to drug her or something. Instead, she went to the deep end of the pool and sat at the edge, her shoes discarded behind her as she dipped her feet in the water. She sighed in relief as she let the coolness of the water calm her down.
Unlike most mermaids who don’t have control of when they shift into the fishy form, Y/N did. She was old and had learned many spells that had helped her gain control of her shifting over the years. She closed her eyes and imagined she was home, deep in the ocean where no one could find her, where it was quiet calm. She hated the land, the people there were too greedy for their own good.
Her peace was disturbed as Jed sat next to her, water splashing as his feet were submerged into the water. Y/N opened her eyes, narrowing them at the boy. She knew it was a bit irrational to be so angry over something so small, but she was just angry at everything at the moment. Jed smiled as he handed her plate of food, hoping that she’d takt it. It took a little nudge, but eventually Y/N took the food and slowly started to eat bits and pieces of it.
“You know, if you don’t want to talk about it right now, we don’t have to. I just want you to know that I’d really like to get to know you, and for you to get to know me. I can feel the mistrust, the anxiety, but we’re not going to hurt you.” There was a pause as he looked into Y/N’s eyes, really meaning his next words, “I’m not going to hurt you.”
Y/N was silent as she looked down at her plate of food, most of it already gone and she hadn’t even realized. Jed chuckled softly, knowing that she was probably starving deep down.
“I do not trust anyone.” Y/N said slowly, which caught the rest of the group by surprise. “Many people, supernatural or not, want to hunt me, kill me, or sell me. I do not trust anyone.” Y/N’s eyes glanced up for a split second, just long enough to see the sadness that rested on everyone’s features.
Jed gently put his hand on Y/N’s knee, and thankfully she didn’t move back from him. “We won’t let anything happen to you.” He smiled softly, the action warming Y/N’s cold heart just enough to make her smile a little bit.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, to have a mate that was a werewolf. Maybe it wouldn’t be bad to stick around and see what happens. Just maybe.
Hope x fem reader
*not my gif*
Sunmary: You're Hope's best friend and she's finally got her humanity back. Which is great except the tribrid has been ignoring you and you don't know why.
A/N: so I wrote this before the episode where Hope actually turned her humanity back on and also naturally I assumed Landon would come back to life so he is in here too, briefly... And then forgot about it😬 anyway I hope you like it. Thought I'd post something since legacies has been canceled. Also I've never posted a fic on Tumblr so if this isn't right, I'm so sorry.
🦇🐺🧙🏻🦇🐺🧙🏻🦇🐺🧙🏻🦇🐺🧙🏻🦇🐺🧙🏻
The music is blasting so loud you feel the ringing echo in your ears. The party Lizzie Saltzman had planned as a welcome back for Hope and herself got more rowdy as the hours ticked closer to midnight. Yet you hadnt seen the tribrid anywhere all night. Ever since her humanity came back and she finally returned to the school (after taking a break to physically be with her family) you hadn’t really had the chance to speak to her , let alone see her.
It's as if she had busied herself with enough tasks to help around the school to make up for what her no humanity self had put them through. Not that she had to , everyone had forgiven her and found ways to move on yet it had never been easy for Hope to do the same.
You knew she’d been on a mission today with Alaric and Landon in recruiting some potential new students. Though you’re pretty sure they’d been back for a while and yet no sign of the auburn haired girl had been in sight.
Until of course you catch the tail end of a conversation between her and Landon, not so far off from the party.
“I know I said I’d give us another shot but I don’t think it’s a good idea” you heard Landon say.
“What? Just because we got into an argument during the mission? You’re giving up that easily?” Hope answers and you can hear the hurt in her voice. You don’t mean to be listening in on what seems to be a very private conversation , but you also cant stop yourself. Neither can you stop yourself from slowly moving towards their direction.
“of course not! But between you throwing yourself into hero mode and your weird obsession with y/n lately I think you're just using us as a distraction for what you really want”
What?- was that your name? Did you really hear that or was your brain messing with you. Your cheeks felt warm , your heart racing at the idea that maybe , just maybe your secret crush you’ve had on Hope Mikaelson all this time could lead to something more.
By the time you try to refocus on the conversation its over. Landon's gone and Hope is left staring into the dimly lit part of the woods leading back to the school. It’s then that you realize you’ve stalked your way towards the tribrid and that she probably knows you’re behind her so it’s not like you could just turn around and pretend you know nothing.
“How much did you hear” Hope asks , her back still to you , no way to tell if she’s mad or not.
“Not much” you start, “actually enough, is this why you’ve been ignoring me?” you decide you might as well be honest.
“I haven’t been ignoring you!” Hope exclaims.
Your brows furrow , her back was still towards you and you could tell her shoulders were tense. What was wrong with liking you? You move closer towards the tribrid with determination. Suddenly the frustration of her ignoring you all this time comes bubbling to the surface. So what if she doesn’t like you , you were friends first, best friends even. You don’t just ignore friends.
“Then why won’t you even look at me Hope?” you ask , your voice rising slightly when the tribrid still wouldn’t turn around.
“I’m scared of what I’ll do to you”
What does that even mean? Her humanity was back on , why would she hurt you? Even when her humanity was off she barely touched you instead making you unconscious when you tried to stop her from leaving. So why would that warrant such a reaction from her?
You’re standing close enough now that you can see the way the shorter girls chest is rising and falling faster with every breath. Was she upset? If only she’d turn around and actually speak to you.
“I’m more scared of what you won’t do” you finally answer. Maybe Hope realized that your friendship just wasn’t enough for her or that she didn’t need you. But why would Landon mention her having an obsession with you if that were true? What did he know that you didn’t.
You’ve had enough of this , you grab a hold of Hopes wrist but before you know it she’s spinning around , eyes flashing golden before you feel it. The softness of her lips pressed harshly against your own. You barely have a chance to reciprocate before she pulls away , her eyes now back to blue searching yours for any sort of sign.
“I- Hope” you try to speak but you can’t find the words. What could you possibly say when your long time crush who you thought had no interest in you that way just kisses you?
“I’m sorry I should’ve asked first but ever since my emotions came back these feelings for you just wouldn’t go away— I didn’t even know I had them until a few weeks ago when I saw you at football practice and realized I really , really wanted to kiss you after you winked at me- winked! You just winked , you’ve done it before and I never felt that way but then it happens now and all I could think about was kissing you!”
You’re still staring at Hope , eyes wide. First the kiss and then a rambling confession , your brain was still processing realizing Hope liked you.
You’re still holding onto her wrist, your grip tight but not enough to hurt her. Well you don’t think you could even if you tried. Her gaze lowers to where you’re holding onto her then back to your lips , they linger there for another second before she is looking back at you waiting almost pleading for you to say something, anything. Her cheeks are practically red after that ramble and all you could do was stare gobsmacked.
But you still have no words. So you do the only thing that comes to mind and tug her into your chest. The shock is evident on her face not expecting you tugging her closer but then your free hand caresses her cheek and you feel her eyes on your lips once more once it settles that this is happening. You are going to kiss her. Hope leans in even more , a chill running through her as your hand trails towards her neck and then rests at the nape before pulling her in and just before your lips touch you ask “is this okay?”
The way her breath fans your face as she let’s out a breathy chuckle makes your stomach do somersaults. This was really happening. You were really here in the woods , inches away from Hope Mikaelson's face ready to kiss her. And have her kiss you , AGAIN.
“More than” She whispers out before connecting your lips once more. This time it’s softer , this time you kiss back with no fervor like you can feel Hope is trying to induce. Instead your kisses are languid , you savor each touch ,every taste you get from her lip balm. Bubblegum , not what you expected but not like you’re complaining.
You break a part minutes later , the fire in the tribrids eyes tell you she wants more. Craves it. And sure you want it to but not tonight. Tonight all you want is her and you spending the night catching up on lost time. And if you maybe decide to tease her with lingering touches or skillfully placed kisses through the night or even cutting off the makeout sessions when you feel it starting to heat up and it makes her blue eyes shine golden in frustration. Well let’s just say she deserves it for ignoring you all this time.
Payback is a bitch.
you were a bennett witch, bonnie's twin sister to be exact. she was two minutes older than you and she was always claiming the need to protect you ever since grams died. she was now traveling the world with her husband, enzo and you couldn't be more happy for the couple.
you moved to new orleans to help your friend, rebekah who desperately needed your help, saying that 'we need a badass bennett witch and you were the first one i thought of.' that's when you met hayley marshall, the pregnant werewolf. sure, you had your ups and downs but what couple doesn't. being friends with a mikaelson wasn't really easy neither, especially with a tribid baby.
9 months later, the miracle baby was born with name of hope andrea mikaelson and the infant had already gained more enemies than you can count. so you stayed in a house which rebekah compelled for you and hope's parents told you to keep her safe and you did. after all of the madness died down, you were reunited with your girlfriend hayley.
5 years later, hayley popped the question and you obviously said yes. the mikaelsons were there for your wedding, your sister, friends and your nieces. it was a fantastic day which was filled with love, laughter, food. so here, you were now locking hands with your wife, hayley marshall in front of the salvatore boarding school. you came to visit hope and your nieces, it was in the middle of october so you came at a random time that the girls wouldn't except it.
you had some good news, caroline had found a cure for the merge. so she'll back soon to stay for good, hopefully to become the headmaster for this school. walking your way in the school of the supernatural, you were greeted with a dozen of students talking to their friends, from ages 6-18. the hybrid and bennett witch walked in the office but no one was there so you both turned around to leave until you bumped into someone.
“watch where you're, b–“ lizzie cuts herself off when she sees you on the office. she shouted your name before running over to you and hugging you with a huge smile on her face. hugging the blonde gemini witch tightly as you kissed the top of her head.
“i missed you, aunt [name].” she mumbles into the hug, grasping onto you tightly like she didn't want you to let go. you didn't feel hayley's presence anymore knowing that she went to look for hope.
“i missed you too, liz.” you admitted to the blonde saltzman. you pull away from the hug, looking around the office. “where's josie?” and as if on cue, you heard footsteps from the outside of the office no doubt that it could be josie.
“lizzie, mom says that she's coming ba–“ josie says walking into the office not noticing you. “aunty [name]! you're finally here.” her eyes averted to you before running into your arms for a koala hug.
you kissed the older saltzman's twin head. “i missed you too jojo.” josie blushes at the nickname, it always made her feel warm and fuzzy inside. you were josette's best friend until she died on her wedding day, so caroline was the surrogate mother to the twins.
you left mystic falls after josette's funeral, still keeping in touch with your friends and sister. you made two identical necklaces for your nieces telling alaric to give them the necklaces when they're older, it will keep them safe.
after catching up your nieces' lives, you began to search for your wife and daughter. you stumble into a room, luckily hope and hayley were in there looking at dozen of drawing which you assumed were hope's.
“hey mama.” hope said before running over to hug you. your body went paralyzed when your heard the last word that hope had spoken. tears start to swell up in your eyes as hayley looked at you lovingly, the tribid still clinging onto you. your arms wrapped themselves, this was the first time that hope called you 'mama'.
“come on, i wanted to show you the picture i painted of us.” she looked up to see tears in your eyes and she instantly becomes worried, “mama, why are you crying?”
you let out a sniffle covering your mouth, shaking your head slightly. “it's nothing, sweetheart show me the picture.” she smiled, looking over in her pool of drawings and grabs it and hands it to you.
the picture was beautiful and beyond words it can't express. you felt familiar arms wrapped around your waist and you turned to see hayley smiling at you. she gave you a small peck on the cheek before looking down at hope's drawing of you three.
yep, you were happy with your life, you had an amazing wife, a spectacular daughter and nieces, the best twin sister. what more could you ask for.
hope mikaelson x reader , bestfriends to rivials to secret protectors to lovers ?
secret protectors is secretly protecting eachother btw
and if you can , can you start it where they are ex bestfriends already
sure thing darling ;) I’ve tweaked it a tad but it’s mostly the same
it’s quite shitty but It’s written with my sleep deprived brain.. so.. sorry.
warnings : swearing, mentions of sex, underage drinking
Y/N Y/L/N and Hope Andrea Mikaelson.
The two of you had an.. interesting history to say the least.
Let’s start with the backstory shall we?
Now the two of you had already come from feuding families, though you had both completely disregarded that fact in your first meeting and there was an instant platonic connection. One which you and her both eagerly deepened as you’d both grown up shadowed from the outside world and without the ability to form relationships of any kind, so it was like a first to the both of you. In a sense.
Your relationship status of friends quickly glided from good friends to close friends to best friends and the two of you were perfectly content with this.
Of course that was until you families had to go ahead and ruin it.
It was actually Hope’s mum Hayley who had found out about your secret friendship first, unbeknownst to you, and Hope had almost burst into tears at the look of shock and mild disgust on her mum’s face.
“You’re father told me about that family.” Hayley had said “They aren’t a good bunch sweetheart.”
And Hope had stayed mute and assumed that that was the end of that — but of course she knew deep down that wasn’t simply going to be the end of this situation she had gotten herself into.
The next day, she was at a family dinner — one which they commonly had every single evening so nothing seemed out of the ordinary in the slightest.
But the tense looks on all her families faces told her otherwise and she had felt her heart psychically constrict at her dad’s next words.
“We don’t want you involved with that y/l/n family.”
That sentence was playing on her mind for days as she actively avoided you at all cost, knowing full well a look into your y/e/c eyes would only worsen her current predicament.
But she made her decision (no matter how difficult).
Family was everything to her...
So the next day, she had met you in person in broken up your friendship in perhaps the rudest way possible she could think of in the hopes you would start disliking her and consequently leaving her life which made her family life so much easier. No matter how the mere thought being without your presence for eternity pained her dearly.
But afterwards it was after your friendship never happened.
You went to thinking she was just like how your parents portrayed her family to be.
And she went to glaring in the halls of school and showcasing her ‘hate’ while dreaming of you when the day turned to dusk.
• • •
“Looking good y/n.” Your friend (kinda) Bianca Goldman whistled as you strutted over to her where she stood leaning against a tree as she observed the lively party.
“You too Ani.” You smiled playfully, twirling a strand of Bianca’s strawberry blonde hair around your finger with a playfully seductive look in your eyes.
“Go find someone else to hit on, you’ve got half the school pining after you.” Bianca scoffed lightly with a joking (mostly) roll of her green eyes but anyone could make out the newly gained pink flush to her pale skin.
“Aww no need to be jealous Ani.” You whispered lightly with a mocking pout as you leaned in a little more and watched in amusement as her pale skin gained a more crimson flush.
However, what you failed to see was from across the forest. Leaning against her own tree was your ex-bestfriend (enemy to everyone’s knowledge) watching you intently with jealously shining transparently in her ocean blue eyes.
“What’s go your thong in a twist princess.” Elizabeth Saltzman smirked jokingly, her eyes alight with the perfect mixture of mirth and entertainment that masked her confusion.
Hope didn’t answer, instead, a glare glazed over her previously envious blue eyes and she pursed her lips together.
“You’re jealous aren’t you?” Lizzie asked in amusement though slight shock, her gaze quickly flickering between both you and Hope with a new sense of interest and determination.
“Jealous of what? I’m only concerned for Bianca, y/n plays people and leaves them high and dry.” Hope spoke defensively.
“More like pleased and happy.” Lizzie corrected cheekily.
Her response was a displeased scoff and Hope taking an even bigger swig of her beer.
• • •
It was officially the next day and those who weren’t suffering with hangovers (the vampires and some werewolves or witches who knew the correct spells) were up bright and early.. most of them.
You were a witch, a bloody good one at that and thankfully you knew the hangover spell but with your lifestyle you sort of had to know it.
Still — instead of attending class like you were obviously meant to, you just went down to the kitchens for some food because hey? food is way more important than studies, right.?
Standing in the kitchens and munching happily on a chocolate chip cookie and you heard a sharp gust of wind. One which you could identify with an approaching vampire.
But before you could even turn, a resounding thud rang out through the kitchen and you turned to see a vampire, a newbie — Leon Arnold — neck snapped on the floor, blood staining his lips, mouth and shirt and vampire features receding back.
You blew out a harsh breath and placed your hand on your head, trying to calm your rapidly racing heart.
Under her own cloaking spell, Hope Mikaelson smiled lightly to herself in accomplishment and relief. Oh so maybe this seemed slightly stalker-ish.. but she was curious to what you did when you didn’t attend class and honestly thank god she did decide to be .. stalker-ish today.
“Mikaelson?”
Shit. She just so happened to forget you were an equally as powered witch who could see past her spells.
“You did that..?” You gestured to Leon and much to the annoyance of yourself you felt a warm feeling encase your heart at the thought of her protecting you.
“Yeah..I did.” Hope nodded her head hesitantly and slipped a quick smile over her plush pink lips with her cheeks discreetly flushing at the softer look that entered your y/e/c eyes.
“Well thank you.” You spoke sincerely and cursed yourself out mentally for the butterflies that swarmed around your stomach.
Just like old times
A response wasn’t heard on Hope’s end as you hastily hurried out.
• • •
“Ugh this is stupid.” Lizzie groaned slumping against the wall as she watched Hope pointedly avoid your eyes and you do the same. She had a sneaking suspicion and she also had an idea which in her opinion was spectacular.
“What is?” Josette, Josie, Saltzman asked hesitantly as she looked up with the end of her of pencil resting between her lips absentmindedly.
“This!” Elizabeth practically shouted as she gestured between Hope and you and Josie looked on with wide perplexed eyes.
“No you know what.” Lizzie muttered, putting Hope’s wrist in a tight hold and magically dragging you over. Ignoring your groans and shouts of protest and everyone’s either wide and curious or shocked eyes.
Quickly, she basically threw the both of you in the nearest classroom and placed a spell on the door.
“Talk! Now!”
You and Hope sat in a extremely tense silence for about a minute or so just staring into each other’s heatedly.
Before suddenly she crashed froward and pressed her lips into yours hungrily.
You eagerly responded to the kiss, familiar with this nature of kiss, winding your hands through her soft locks of auburn hair as hers wrapped around your waist. Hope let out a little moan as you ran your tongue over her bottom lip and she obediently opened her mouth slightly for you to proceed.
Abruptly the two of you pulled apart, panting harshly.
“We should—“
“Yeah—“
“Be my girlfriend—“
It felt like time stopped from a moment and with a wide grin appearing on your face you nodded your head frantically.
Your families the last thing on your minds.
always and forever [lizzie saltzman]
lizzie saltzman x fem!reader
requested by anon: can we get an angsty lizzie saltzman x fem!reader where reader sacrifices herself for lizzie
*not my gif*
Fighting off bad guys was something you did often. It was easy to. In a school full of supernatural creatures who fight off other supernatural creatures, there was really no way you could escape it. Especially when your best friend was literally leading the charge.
But this time was different...she wasn’t here to lead the charge and tell you what to do. She was the one you needed to get back. No matter what it took.
“How do we know that this plan is going to work? Hope is the definition of unhinged and that’s coming from me,” Lizzie told the group as all of you finally found a solution to stop Hope.
Everyone turned to you. You were always Hope’s right hand man when it came to missions. She’d be there and she’d tell you what to do, but now that she was gone you had no idea what the hell you were doing.
“We don’t, but if it worked in the therapy box, it’s worth a try. The only thing we do know is that Hope doesn’t want to be found, but when she comes to us that’s when we’ll try,” Cleo came in and you looked at her sending her a grateful smile as she nodded.
You headed back to your room, the one that felt so much more emptier now that your roommate had turned off her humanity and ran away. You and Hope were attached at the hip since you were younger.
Your parents were on Klaus’s side when he took over New Orleans from Marcel. He considered your parents some of his best friends even if they were just normal human beings, so you naturally grew a bond with Hope.
When your parents died trying to save Cami from Lucien, only becoming targets of his own, since that day the Mikaelsons’ had sworn to protect you no matter what. Then when Klaus and Elijah died, there started a new bond. A new type of ‘Always and Forever’ that you heard so much about growing up around the Mikaelsons’.
Ever since that day you and Hope swore to protect each other no matter what. You followed her to the Salvatore Boarding School and now that her humanity was gone you made it your mission to bring her back.
There was a soft knock on your door, catching your attention. The blonde Saltzman was at your still opened door, watching you intently, “You didn’t have much to say after the therapy box,”
“I don’t know if this is going to work,” you whispered and there were beats of silence as she sat on the foot of your bed next to you, “What if this doesn’t work?”
Lizzie intertwined your fingers together, “We’re going to get her back with you leading the charge, there’s nothing we can’t do,”
“I hope you’re right,” you told her, staring down at your intertwined hands.
The siphoner hooked her finger underneath your chin and you were met with blue. She leaned in softly to press against your lips and you got lost in the familiar feeling of her lips on yours.
Sure, growing up you and Hope were attached at the hip, but there were a few things that you differed from. One of them being your opinion on the blonde Saltzman. You knew they had their differences growing up, but you found yourself head over heels for Lizzie and surprisingly she felt the same way.
“Hope may be unhinged, but if there’s anyone who can bring her back it’s you. She’s lucky to have you Y/N, I know I am,” she whispered and you smiled at her softly, taking her into your arms.
Her head rested in the crook of your neck as your chin laid on the top of her head before placing a kiss to her perfect blonde hair. You could feel her smile against you, “Have I told you that I love you today?”
“Hmm, I think that you’ve told me a couple times, but one more can’t hurt,” she teased and you chuckled softly pecking her head once more.
“Well, I love you so much,” you told her, “Now come cuddle with me,”
Without receiving an answer, you crashed the two of you down onto your bed causing her to giggle. You propped your head up onto your hand and started peppering her face with kisses. The more you did it, the more her beautiful giggles emitted from her mouth.
“Babe!” Lizzie drew out and you smiled softly before finally coming down and you finally laid back down next to her. She got comfortable resting her head onto your chest. Your arms instinctively wrapping around her to protect her as you played with her blonde locks.
That sweet moment turned sour quickly. It’s like Hope heard all of your plans because later that night you and the Super Squad heard that Hope was in the town square of Mystic Falls.
You and the Super Squad had her surrounded, “Well...I was hoping for a fun night, but I guess this works too,” she stated, staring at all of you, “What are you gonna do? Kill me? I can’t be killed,”
“I’m not gonna kill you,” I whispered, shaking your head, “I can’t kill you,”
“Oh I know you can’t. You’ve always been the weak one out of the two of us,” she told you.
Lizzie scoffed, “At least she’s not hiding her traumas by using a defense mechanism. She has lost people too Hope! Not to mention lost her parents because they were trying to save your dad’s girlfriend!”
“Lizzie, c’mon, she doesn’t know what she’s saying,” Josie whispered.
“Oh, but I do. Did she ever tell you the story about why she had to get turned into a vampire?” Hope asked, speaking up to the rest of the group.
“She tried saving me, which was a dumb move in itself because how can a human save a tribrid? I could’ve easily defended myself, but she let her emotions get the best of her, just like she always did,” Hope ranted, “So of course, on the brink I had to turn her,”
“Telling that story doesn’t bring back any of your humanity? Your best friend almost dying to save you!” Lizzie exclaimed, extremely fed up with Hope’s bullshit.
Hope thought about it for a second, “Nope not really,”
“Y/N is stronger than you will ever be and she doesn’t need to turn off her humanity or activate another side of her to prove that,” the blonde argued.
“She did once, I guess even though you guys have been dating for the last three years she didn’t feel the need to tell you about her ripper side,” Hope stated with a shrug and Lizzie turned to you, but your eyes were on her watching her every move.
“When Y/N turned she was actually a lot of fun: parties, drinking, feeding. She was crazier than Kaleb ever was when it came to her blood lust. She killed so many innocent people in New Orleans. Obviously she turned it back on which was a really dumb move, I understand why you kept it off,” she said turning to you, “It’s so much more fun this way! No emotions! No heartbreak! No grieving or loss! Just fun!”
You noticed out of the corner of your eye Ethan vanished from the group, using his newly found powers to attack her from behind. But in a blink of an eye it vanished. Hope was holding him by his neck, smirking at you, before throwing him against the wall.
“Nice try,” she shrugged.
The tribrid whispered a small spell causing everyone to get knocked onto the street. Well...the plan didn’t work.
You don’t know what was happening. Everything was happening so fast. The only people left standing were you and Hope. The rest of the Super Squad was knocked unconscious.
“You don’t have to do this you know. You can come home Hope,” you lectured her, “We promised each other always and forever, so there’s no way I’m leaving you behind,”
And it was like a lightbulb clicked in her head. Her gaze landing on Lizzie who was slowly regaining consciousness. You tried to beat her to Lizzie’s body, but her newfound vampire speed beat yours by a mile.
“Hope no,” you told her.
Lizzie’s bright blue eyes met yours and you smiled at her sadly, “You know, you talk a whole lot about always and forever, so prove it. Let’s see how far your loyalties actually lie,”
Hope cut her hand with a knife that Ethan was carrying and shoved her hand into the blonde’s mouth, forcing her to drink her blood, “No! Stop!” you yelled as you watched your girlfriend squirm and struggle in her arms.
“What do you want? What do you need me to do?! I’ll do anything! Just stop!” you screamed.
Hope laughed darkly, “Love makes you weak Y/N, don’t you see that?” she grabbed her chin forcefully, “One snap and she’s dead, I will kill your girlfriend and I’ll leave her to suffer that hunger that she can’t satisfy from anything other than blood. I won’t allow her to turn. I’ve heard stories about how painful that starvation is,”
“Just get to the point Hope,” you scolded, clenching your jaw as you saw the blood drip around Lizzie’s mouth.
“Either she dies a slow and painful death or you turn off your humanity,” she negotiated, “Imagine all the fun we can have! We can bar raid, compel people to give us drinks, and feast every single night! It’s fun Y/N! Always and forever, right?”
“Y/N, you can’t,” the blonde told you.
The thing that Hope didn’t know was that you told Lizzie all about your ripper ways. You knew your best friend and you knew how turning off your humanity can cause you to say anything to hurt the other person. So you told her.
“Lizzie?” you whispered and she just hummed in response, “I need to tell you something. When we face off with Hope she’s going to mention things that I did back in New Orleans when I first turned. I wasn’t the best newborn vampire. I killed a lot of people and I didn’t care about the consequence,”
You could feel that her eyes were on you, “I have tried so hard since that day to be better and do better. All the shit I put Hope through, all the pain that I caused to so many people. I never wanted to do that to anyone. So from that day when Hope got me back I promised myself I would never turn it off again,”
“That’s why you want to get Hope back so bad, huh? Because she tried everything in her power to get you back despite all the pain and damage you caused,” you nodded.
“I can’t let her down again,” you whispered, “If I can’t bring her back, I fail her. I fail our bond that we swore to keep and after everything she’s done for me...”
Lizzie cut you off by placing a soft kiss onto your lips, “We’ll get her back,”
“Give me one second,” Hope said, vamp speeding away with Lizzie still in her grasp, only to appear two seconds later with another woman in front of her, “C’mon Y/N, just a little taste,”
You looked at Lizzie and back at the girl who was shoved towards you. Hope stared at you with expecting eyes and you could practically feel the girl’s pulse from where you were standing.
The smell was overwhelming. You had been on a strict blood diet that consisted of half human blood and the rest rabbit blood. Something that you and Dr. Saltzman agreed would be best for you.
You avoided Lizzie’s eyes as you took a deep breath and hovered over the girl’s neck. The monster-like veins forming as you could feel your fangs hovering over the neck. And with one last whiff, you dug your fangs into the girl’s neck.
The coppery taste flooding your tastebuds and it was like you couldn’t stop. Your eyes locked with Hope and she had a satisfied smirk on her face while Lizzie looked at you absolutely terrified.
You pulled away from the screaming girl and turned to Hope, “There I had a taste, now let her go,” you told her, trying to fight the urge to feed again and your best friend could tell.
“Drain her,” Hope said simply.
“What?” you whispered.
“You heard me. Your humanity is still on and I’m pretty sure the deal was humanity off and then Lizzie gets to go free,” the rest of the Super Squad started coming to their senses.
“Y/N! I’m not worth it!” Lizzie’s cheeks were flooded with tears. You let out a shaky breath, “I’ll be okay, I’m going to die by my 21st birthday anyway. You can let me go,”
You shook your head, “I can’t...I can’t do that,” you looked into the bright blue eyes that made you feel like you were a normal teenager, “I love you Elizabeth. Promise, you’ll bring me back,”
Lizzie let out a soft cry, “I love you. I will always love you no matter what. Just don’t do this,”
“I don’t have a choice baby,”
You sunk your teeth into the girl’s neck until you could feel her go limp into your body. Hope grabbed your shoulder, squeezing it slightly, “Turn it off,” you stared into her compelling eyes before nodding.
Poof. Gone.
Hope let out another dark laugh, “And here I thought you were weak. Are you ready to take on the world?” she asked.
You gave her a sinister smirk, “Always and forever,” you told her as you dropped the girl’s lifeless body onto the street before following after her to your new adventure.
Vampire Love-Legacies-Sebastian the Vampire x OC reader (my first Tumblr fanfic and possible series)
Chapter 1: This Year Will Be Different, and I'm Ready For That
Hello there! Welcome to my first ever Legacies inspired fanfiction chapter book story. Before this story starts, here are some quick introduction notes to help you get familiar with everything and to leave you from any confusion. Firstly, this story is going to be partly OC (OFC because the main character in this in replace of Y/N is Kenzie 'Mackenzie') and I created her for this story. She is the only character that I own and everyone else in this story I do not own.
Secondly, my character Kenzie, is the third fraternal twin daughter (triplet)/ sister of both Lizzie and Josie. Her father is also Alaric Saltzman. (Fraternal means they aren't the same or identical) Kenzie looks more like Lizzie, but with more reddish brown hair as the only thing that sets those two apart and Josie. Kenzie and Lizzie look the same everywhere else (The same eyebrows, sound the same when we talk, have the same style sense-Physical features on both of our faces are the same / similar ) Kenzie really looks up to her two twin sisters, especially Lizzie. She thinks of her as the older sister in the group and role model. She can look up to Lizzie because she was the last twin born but they are all the same age.
Kenzie is the youngest twin of Josie and Lizzie Saltzman, her two older fraternal twin sisters even though they were all born around the same time/ day. The age for these 3 including my character can be in the early 20's (around my age 20 or 21- Kenzie is a vampire and has witch abilities in her. You'll find out more about her as the story goes on.
Lastly, everyone still remembers Hope Mikelson. What truly and actually happens / happened to her in the start of season 2 of the show, doesn't take place / doesn't happen in my story. I hope you all enjoy <3
*
The new year has arrived in Mystic Falls, Virginia. A new year means new life and beginnings, even at the Salvatore School for the Young and the Gifted. In the dormroom that they share together, two of the Saltzman twins, Lizzie, and Kenzie are hanging out together for a while before classes start.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kenzie, and yep! I'm a Saltzman twin and hybrid/ heretic, that's a fancy word for witch mixed with vampire abilities. Pretty cool right? It's pretty hectic over here right now. School starts today and everyone's getting ready for that.
Right now, I'm hanging out in my bedroom dorm with one of my twin sisters and best friend, the groovy Lizzie Saltzman. She's doing a bunch of yoga stretches on this mat on the floor and I'm sitting at my vanity desk, applying some makeup on my face, just face powder and a little bit of mascara,nothing too much like eyeshadow, I wouldn't want to scare away my professors on the first day.
I'm looking at myself in my mirror that's built in on my vanity desk table and could see everything that Lizzie is doing behind me through the mirror.
"What pose is that, Liz?" I asked Lizzie as I continued to apply face powder and blush to my face. Lizzie chuckles to herself and turns her head a little to face me while being in the yoga pose.
"Oh you know! Warrior two pose, it's my favorite pose thus far"I giggle after hearing her response and then close my makeup and puts it in my table and then turns my head and body around fully to face her, continuing to giggle to myself.
"I thought you said that you didn't like yoga and that it was like karate, but for lazy people?" Lizzie switched poses by moving her hands down and put them to her hips.
"I did say that. But this past summer with mom and you has really changed me and had me open my eyes to new experiences. Also, this really helps me keep my mind off the stupid Merge stuff in our near future"
I nod my head and frown a little after hearing the merge being mentioned, hearing about what happens during that really scares me and I'm not ready for that. I shake my head out of that scary thought and back into reality again.
Smiling at the sight when I see my best friend and first sister.
"Ooh I love that! I'm really happy that mom and I were able to help you take your mind off that, Liz! I want to keep my mind off of that too"
I get up from my chair that I was sitting on and go to sit on my bed that Lizzie is standing in front of/ next to.
"I'm all about being present right here, right now. So I have decided to be completely and truthfully open to any opportunity that approaches me and my way. This is going to be my year of yes. I'm literally open for anything and available for anyone."
My sister stops doing her yoga poses and relaxes while standing up in a neutral way. When she hears me talk about my plans, a bright and big smile appears on her face.
In the hallway, our vampire friends Kaleb and MG walk by our room and hear everything that Lizzie and I are talking about. That's one cool thing about being part vampire, you can feel certain people's presence without actually seeing them face to face right away.
Kaleb looked at MG as MG gasped softly after hearing what Lizzie and I were talking about. They stopped and hid right next to the wall of our room outside in the hallway, close to the door, hearing everything we were talking about. MG, short for Milton Greasley, has a crush on my sister but she doesn't know about it.
I think that's cute and sweet that he has a crush on her and seeing the way he cares and treats her like the queen I know my sister Lizzie is, even if the two aren't dating.
Just as Lizzie was going to continue talking, our other sister, Josie walks into our room and smiles at the both of us. She was taking a shower in the school's locker room area.
"Aw, hey you two! What are you two talking about?"
"Aw, hiya Jo! Liz and I were talking about future goals that we want to accomplish this year." Josie smiled at that and thought that was cute that we were talking about that.
Josie took off the bathrobe that she was wearing, don't worry! She has an outfit on underneath it I promise. She sat down on her bed that was right next to mine and Lizzie's.
Lizzie came in the middle of Josie and I, and rested her hands on my shoulders as she stood up and smiled a bright smile more.
"What I was trying to say before our other dear sister, Josie came through was that I think that's a wonderful idea, Kenz. I want to be more open for opportunities too, I am inviting myself to join you in your year of yes. I hope that's okay with you?"
I smile brightly and put my hand on my heart. "Aw!! I think that's a really cute and heartwarming idea, yes of course you can join me! I'm really excited to see how this goes, especially with my best friend right there with me"
I wink at her and smile. She smiles brightly more and squeals while clapping her hands.
Lizzie hugs me and starts to talk fast because that's what she does when she's excited about something.
"I am so excited, thank you so much, Kenz! I love you! She gasps, "I can be your shadow with this, you know, follow you to every location you go and watch you in action with this, if that's okay again?"
I giggle softly to myself and boop Lizzie's nose. "Aw, yes of course it's okay sis! You don't have to keep asking every time. You're my sister and best friend, you and Josie are both always allowed to go and follow me anywhere and everywhere you both wish."
Looking at the clock in our room I noticed how late the time was getting before classes were going to start, "We should really start getting a move on to the auditorium now! I think Professor Varduemus and dad will be starting their meeting with everyone"
The three of us agree and Lizzie, Josie,and I all share a cute and heartwarming group hug with each other and then finish getting ready and head down to the main auditorium space.
Kaleb and MG left and joined in the auditorium with everyone else before we could see them in the hallway. I giggled and walked with Lizzie and Josie through the hallway and sat next to them when we got there.
We listened to everything that was said and before we knew it, it was time for classes to officially start and then soon enough class was over and it was my time to relax.
Finally! I asked Lizzie if she wanted to meet up with me and hangout at the Old Mill. After a long time of trying to persuade her, she agreed and we both arrived and hung out for a while.
The Old Mill is this fantastic tree house looking structure that was outside obviously and had that forest and nature vibe and look to it.
Inside, there was a bunch of furniture and other things you'd expect to see in an outside setting. My favorite part about it was the decorations. It had white and different color string of lights hung up all over the room. Fairy lights in other words.
It added character and I loved that, especially when it's night time when you can really see the lights in action more.
I was sitting in a chair right next to Lizzie and had gotten up to get something off a shelf in the room.
"I don't understand why you and the others don't like this place,sis! I love this place, I think it's off the charts amaze-" I quickly pause and smile when I felt the presences of someone standing a little bit across from me, looking up I saw this young man with brownish dark hair and is dressed in this old fashioned but still really cute and good looking outfit.
"Zing!" I quietly whisper to myself and then look back at Lizzie to see if she's seeing what I'm seeing. She's not really paying attention to him at first. I turn my attention back to the young man. His eyes widen a little when he sees me and then starts to look around the room a bit.
I can't seem to get my eyes off of him. I don't know who he is but I think I'm falling in love. I waved my hand / arm out a little in front of him to get his attention and once I did that, I softly spoke to him.
"Hello there! Are you here to hangout too? You can do that, my sister and I wouldn't mind" I smiled while looking back quickly at Lizzie, to see if she's looking this time. She's still not looking.
She's too busy chilling like a villain in one of the comfy cozy chairs that are in the room. Typical Lizzie haha. Me on the other hand, turned my head back to face the mysteriously good looking man again as he looked around the room with bright eyes and then looked at me and spoke.
"What kind of place is this? Is this like a school of some kind?" The young man softly asked me with bright eyes while examining me and the room once more.
"It's the Salvatore School. It's named after Damon Salvatore but I won't bore you with all of that background information right now haha" The guy smiled as he listened to me talk which started to get my heart beating.
"What's your name? I thought I knew all of the new incoming students" I smiled and raised my eyebrow out of curiosity.
The man looked at me with a chilling but cute look on his face. "Sebastian! What's your name?" I continued to look back at him, each time my smile kept growing.
"Oh, I'm Kenzie!" Sebastian smiled again at me.
"It's good to meet you, Mackenzie" I smile more as I look to the floor for a second and then back at Sebastian again.
"I actually think 'Mackenzie' sounds too boring for my taste" Sebastian raised his eyebrow a little and continued to smile, he glanced up for a second and then back to me.
"I don't think it sounds boring at all" Cue the blushing from me over here!! Hearing this mysterious but extremely handsome man talk to me and say that my name doesn't sound boring makes my heart flutter at a really fast speed.
I think I'm falling in love with this guy.
As our conversation continued, I totally forgot that Lizzie was with me in the room. She got curious as to what I was doing and gasped to herself softly when she saw Sebastian.
She covered her mouth with her hand for a second and hid behind the wall, not trying to interrupt anything but still wanting to hear or try to hear everything that was being said.
Little did I know that my sister and best friend also thought he was cute too and might feel the exact same way that I feel about him. Sorry my sweet sister but I saw Sebastian first! I'm pretty sure he'll choose me if that comes haha.
Sebastian and I finished talking and he said that he might be around later tonight. Yes! Thank goodness, I really want to see him more often haha.
I waved bye to him as he smiled and then walked back outside and disappeared. After witnessing everything, I was a blushing and speechless mess who couldn't stop smiling.
In the back of my eyes, I could feel Lizzie's presence. She saw the way I was acting and the look on my face. She giggled as I turned my attention to her.
"Hey Kenz! What was that all about?" As I turned to face Lizzie, I could feel my smile growing and stared into space for a few minutes, not looking at her right away.
I didn't realize how I looked but Lizzie saw my hypnotic state clearly written all over my face. Yep! Sebastian hypnotized me. Lizzie continued to giggle when my eyes met hers.
"Are you okay? Who was that?" Still in the hypnotic state, I reply slowly, each time I glance more into space than at my sister.
"Yeah! I'm great,sis! I have no idea who that was but I enjoyed every single moment."
"It definitely looks like it, Kenz! You're blushing and it's adorable! My little sister has a crush!"Lizzie laughed softly and teased me by pushing her arm against my shoulder a little, gently.
I wave her off playfully as I giggle. "Aw, hey shh! Keep your voice down, Liz! I don't want anyone to hear you, especially Sebastian, he could be anywhere"
I put my finger to my mouth and tried to shh/ quiet down my sister, who just laughed.
The two of us continued to hangout at The Old Mill for a bit longer and then decided to head back inside the school because it was getting late. We head back and are greeted by Josie, Hope, and MG.
"Hey there you two are! Where have you two been?" Hope curiously asked as she raised her eyebrow. I smiled at her and was about to tell her where we were but of course Lizzie cut me off and spilled the beans.
"Kenzie and I were at the Old Mill and let's just say she has a crush on this guy who randomly appeared while we were there" I widened my eyes and tried to nudge her shoulder, begging her to stop talking.
I closed my eyes for a second as I placed my hands on the temples/ sides of my face. Everyone in the room who heard either squealed or smiled big smiles after hearing what Lizzie said.
"Ooh!! Sis!! Please you gotta tell me all about that! I wasn't there and I really want to know all about this!" Josie practically threw herself at me, begging her to tell her all the tea.
I laughed softly after seeing her reaction. I gently patted her arms and giggled.
"Aw, wow you really want to know, don't cha sis?" Josie nodded her head and I told her that I would catch her up on everything with that later.
"Hey uhm Lizzie? Can I talk to you about something? It's important" MG politely asked my sister with a smile on his face. Lizzie agreed and nodded her head.
"Of course, MG! We can do that" She smiled at him and then quickly turned her head to face me, Josie, and Hope.
"I'm going to go have a little chat with MG, I'll catch up with you guys later" I agreed and smiled and watched as Lizzie and MG walked off to go sit down and talk.
I turned my attention to Joise and Hope. I smile at them as another idea pops into my head.
"I just got a brilliant idea. I'm going to go back down to the Old Mill now, would any of you two like to join me?" They both smiled at me too and told me that they had other things to do too.
Hope was going to spend time with Landon and Josie was going to chill and do some homework in our room. They told them to call if I needed anything and I told them I would do just that. Smiling at them and waving to them before I left.
"Did you see her face? It lit up so much, and couldn't stop blushing when she mentioned the Old Mill. I wonder what she's up to?" Hope giggled to herself to Josie as they continued to watch me leave.
"Oh yeah I saw! I think it's cute. My little sister must be crushing on this guy hard" Josie giggled and Hope smiled. The two walked off together, doing their own thing.
I quickly rushed to my bedroom dorm and grabbed a few supplies that I needed for what I was going to do and then once I had everything, I scooped everything in my hands and bolted to the Old Mill.
*
When I got to the Old Mill, it was dark outside and the fairy lights sparkled in the night which I really enjoy and love. I put the supplies that I had in my hands and a table and spread them all out on the table.
I was in the middle of setting up for a tracking spell, hoping Sebastian would appear, like he said he might do. I rolled out an old fashioned map with markings on it and spread my hands across it for a second, reading out loud the directions on how to do the spell correctly.
A few minutes after everything was happening, I was startled by a familiar voice.
"Hello Mackenzie!" Sebastian firmly spoke but smiled a romantic smile when he saw me.
I gasp quietly and look up at him while raising my eyebrow a little. "You again?" I titled my head to the side as he continued to look at me, his smile still spread across his face.
He then began to walk towards me, glancing down at my work table. "Ooh! You're a witch?" I nodded my head yes after hearing his question.
"Yes. More like a witch- vampire hybrid or heretic" Sebastian kept smiling and began to waltz over to me, getting a closer look at me. I raised my eyebrow again because I still didn't know who exactly he was. I had to get to the bottom of this.
"And you are clearly something! You've gotten past the school's magical barriers twice now. If you're not a student then what are you? I'd say it's your turn to answer" I paused for a second, hoping to get an answer from him but I clearly got nothing. Of course, right?
"What are you exactly?" I asked him straight forward, still raising my eyebrow a bit. A big smile was painted on his face, it definitely started to make my heart race.
*
Sebastian glanced down at my work table again and raised his eyebrow at me. "What were you looking for?" I widened my eyes a little and could feel my mind starting to go blank.
I couldn't tell Sebastian that I was doing a spell to find him! That wouldn't sound too good. "Uhm, nothing! I- I was just waiting for my sister to arrive and help her with a spell. I think she'll be here in just a few minutes"
I lied. Lizzie has no idea that I'm here. She's busy with MG talking about whatever and here I am probably making a fool out of myself in front of my new found crush.
Sebastian titled his head a little and nodded after hearing what I told him. Gosh he was too cute! I really didn't want to mess this up.
I shook my head and tried to shake off my weirdness that happened a few minutes ago and then turned my head back to Sebastian.
"You still haven't answered my questions yet!" Sebastian looked down at the table and chuckled to himself and listened to all the questions I asked him. "If you aren't a student here, then what are you?"
"I came to see you. I have a request that I hope you'll take"
"Ooh, a request huh? What is it?" I asked him with curiosity if my voice.
Sebastian looked at me with a firm look, eye contact was on point between him and I. I was falling hard inside!!!
"Stop looking for me" He spoke firmly as he started to wander next to the table. I couldn't believe my ears. I was not expecting him to say that to me.
Was this short and sweet moment about to be over in a flash? I hope that's not the case. I widened my eyes and looked the other way for a second, giggling to myself from nervousness.
"What? I'm not looking for you! I never was" I spoke fastly while avoiding eye contact with him.
Truth is, I was actually trying to locate him. Trying to summon him to me again. My mind needed him and apparently so did my body but we are a longggg away from that point hahaha.
As I turned my head back to him, I found him in my clear vision. Right in front of me as he stood. "You're drawn to me, Mackenzie. I can feel it. I'm drawn to you too, but you shouldn't let me get too close." I smiled softly and raised my eyebrow a little.
"And why is that, Sebastian?"
He smiled softly and looked to the floor again but then back to me and started walking around me a little.
"You seem like a nice girl, and you see my life is, shall we both say..." He spoke softly and then was closer to me than before. Leaning on the table, hypnotizing me once again.
"Complicated" He softly spoke again and his face and body were getting dangerously close to mine and I loved it. I could feel my heart beating really fast again. I wanted him more and more.
Come on, Sebastian! You're girl is ready for you! My breath became a little shaky and my eye contact with him was stronger than ever. Him being close to me like this made me speechless in a good way.
"Sebastian, I think I can handle complicated" I whispered to him as he smiled that romantic smile that he did before.
"I want to get to know you more. What do you say? You, me, meet up again soon to do just that?" I smiled as I titled my head, waiting to hear his response.
"I like the sound of that. That sounds like a thrilling good time, I must say. How about a few days from now? Hm?" Sebastian said as he raised his eyebrow too. I could feel my face burn from blushing too much, but I love it. I was too excited to say anything so I nodded my head with a big smile.
He smiled brightly and came closer and leaned towards my face again.
"I'll see you then, Mackenzie!" He smiled at me again and winked at me before turning around and walking out of the Old Mill. Watching him as he disappeared and left me alone again.
My mouth hung open a little and my breathing became steady. I couldn't believe that romantic encounter I had with Sebastian. I loved every second of it and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him and hopefully call him mine. I have to go tell Lizzie!
*
In the school's lobby area, there was a big greenish blue couch that could fit multiple people. Lizzie was hanging out with Josie and MG. Lizzie stood up which was perfect timing for me to get her attention.
I smiled my big smile and squealed when I saw her. I ran up to her and gave her a big hug from excitement. She hugged me back and giggled.
"Ahha! sis! I have some amazing news! I really want to talk to you about" I smiled brightly as I looked at her. She seemed excited too.
"Aw! That's exciting, Kenz! I have something I want to talk to you about too! You can go first" Lizzie winked at me and held my hands and we both sat down on the green couch.
Josie and MG left to give us space. Other students walked by in the lobby, getting ready for bed. I continued to smile brightly at my sister and began to tell her my exciting news.
"So you remember Sebastian, who I met earlier today right? A few minutes ago, I went back to the Old Mill a few minutes ago and had a chat with him and I think I might be going on a date with him in a few days. I think I might have a crush on him. Isn't that exciting?" I smiled more and then studied her face.
It was from a bright smile to an annoyed and sad look mixed into one. That concerned me a little bit. She shook her head and looked back at me with a smile but I could tell something was bothering her. I gently put my arm on her shoulder.
"Hey Liz? Are you okay?"
Continuing to smile. She nodded her head. "Yes, I'm okay. I just think it's interesting that you have exciting news about Sebastian, because so do I, Kenz!"
I raised my eyebrow and had a confused look on my face. "Really? What do you mean by that, Liz?" She smiled more and chuckled to herself.
"During my talk with MG earlier, I discovered something that I wasn't expecting or planning this to happen, but I think I have a crush too. Talking to MG really opened my eyes. I think MG's really great and all and he is really nice at helping me with whatever I need. But seeing you with Sebastian and seeing him made my heart beam, but not in just a happy way. More like a romantic way"
I could feel my heart beating in a nervous way, like it was about to sink to my stomach.
Lizzie, I love you but if you're about to say what I think you're going to say then we might have an issue. I looked at my sister with a sad look on my face, tears forming slowly in my eyes. "What do you mean, Liz?"
"I think I have a crush on Sebastian too, Kenz!" She spoke softly with a bright smile on her face as she looked at me.
Heartbroken. Shock. Confusion.I was feeling all of those feelings. Definitely not the words I was expecting my sister to say. My sister was known for crushing on guys with good looks and charm but never in a million years did I expect her to have a crush on the same guy as me.
I didn't know what to say. The tears I felt forming in my eyes were definitely there in my eyes now. I tried to hide them by quickly wiping them away with my hand but Lizzie saw and became worried about me.
"Kenzie, are you alright?" A concerning tone of voice was heard in her voice as she tried to comfort me. I continued to wipe my tears away and nodded my head.
"I just wasn't expecting you to say that you have a crush on Sebastian too. I thought this was going to be my moment for love. I thought everything was falling into place and now you have a crush on him too. He'll probably choose you. You're way prettier than me and every guy chooses you. Guys think I'm this weird and ugly girl with no potential for love" I admitted while pushing through my quiet sobs.
Lizzie pulled in for a sisterly hug which I galdy hugged her back. "You are beautiful just the way you are, Kenz! Everything that you said about yourself isn't true at all. Guys love you and don't think you're weird or ugly at all. And I'm so sorry for making you upset, I had no idea that you called dibs on Sebastian. I won't get in the way. He's yours, I promise"
She winked at me and smiled. Hearing her say that calmed me down and I wiped my tears and cleared my face more. I giggled softly.
"You're the best, thank you so much, Liz! I love you!" I glanced up at her, smiling a soft but meaningful smile on my face as did Lizzie back to me.
"You better! Hahaha jokes aside, anything for you. You deserve to be happy. I love you too, Kenz!" Lizzie smiled brightly and the two of us continued to hug and then we decided to go to our dorm room bedroom and get ready for bed.
My heart was feeling calmer again and I couldn't wait for my future with Sebastian. This year will be different and I'm ready for that.
-End of Episode story 1 :)
Soooo! What did you think of this? I really hope you all enjoyed reading this because I enjoyed writing it. I promise that this isn't a rewrite of the season 2 episode 1 of Legaices! I tried to make it as different and creative and I promise that the up coming chapters will continue to follow that structure of staying away from being like the real episode. I'm very excited to share with you all my writing for this story and because of how much I absolutely adore the one and only Thomas Doherty and his character Sebastian in the show (even though he wasn't on it anymore after season 2 ended. It's still upsetting that the show got canceled-I really enjoyed the show :(
Stay tuned and get ready for more and I'd love to hear your feedback on this and for possible story ideas related to Thomas or any of his characters <3
If anyone is interested- you can find this story posted over on my wattpad and follow me there. My username is Theresas_secret hope to see you there and I'll see you in the next one
Trust In Me
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
Pairing: Hope Mikaelson x Reader
“You’re joking. You’re telling me, ME,--your oh so dearest best friend in this universe--that you’re not going to help us play against the Timberwolves even though you’re a freaking tribrid? You have all the powerups you can get and you’re choosing not to use them! What kind of madness is that, Marshall?”
“Professor Saltzman doesn’t let any of you use your abilities anyways, so there’s no real point in me helping the team, is there?”
You feel your eyes roll so far back you're surprised they didn’t fall out, “Come on! Do you have any idea what kind of badass duo we’d be out there?”
“Nope and I don’t intend on finding-”
“We’d be unstoppable! Those asshat Timberwolves won’t know what hit them on that field! You have to play at least one game while you’re at school here! Please!”
Hope responds to your argument with silence and a look on her face that you clearly read as, I’m not playing no matter how much you beg.
You knew there wasn’t any way of getting through to her thick skin, so you accepted your defeat. “Okay, fine,” you huff, taking a seat right next to Hope at the edge of your bed, “You’re still going to cheer me on though, right? I mean, it’s the least you could do.”
She takes an agonizingly long time thinking of her answer while looking at the hopeful ‘puppy dog’ look in your eyes. The longer she took, the bigger you made your eyes which eventually broke Hope into giving you a heartwarming smile, “Yes, I’ll be silently cheering you on.”
You smile back, “That’s all I need, Marshall.”
The alarm tone from your phone jolts you awake from another one of your vivid dreams. After meeting Hope outside the Grill the other night, your dreams have become more realistic than ever before.
They’re almost beginning to feel too real. Maybe the clarification of you knowing Hope is real influenced your brain into putting her into more lifelike dream scenarios.
It didn’t surprise you that the topic of conversation in the dream was about the annual Stallions versus Timberwolves game since it’s happening today. Even though your team has been notorious for losing on purpose every single year, you still liked the not-so-friendly competition between the rival schools.
At this morning's assembly, you were happy to hear your new headmaster’s announcement about banning the ‘throw the game’ rule. Josie seemed to be the only teammate who was hesitant about the sudden change, but everyone else was ecstatic.
The thing that threw you off the most during the assembly was Vardamus assigning Landon as the quarterback. See, you loved the guy and he’s one of your good friends here at the school, but you know damn well that his athletic ability is as good as a decapitated zombie--on either half--and even that was saying much.
You weren’t just saying this to bash on your friend because he was proving your analysis of him correct on the field as the team was warming up. You and Josie were helplessly trying to help him catch the ball after a snap.
Thankfully she has more patience with Landon than you because at this rate it didn’t look like you guys were winning this game either.
“Sorry. Foster care didn’t have a football team.” Landon grumbles after having the ball bounce off his chest.
“At least you didn’t let it hit you in the face this time,” you shrug, earning a searing glare from Josie, “I’ll go warm up over here now.”
You quickly excused yourself and ended up jogging over to Lizzie who was sitting on the bench with a stack of books by her side. First, Landon is your quarterback for the day and now you see Lizzie reading right now instead of warming up.
“What’s going on here? I thought you’d be pissed at Vardamus for giving Landon your QB spot.”
“I’m on a different kind of mission today, Y/n,” she says as you watch her flip through a book of monsters and that gives you the information you needed to know what this was about.
Coincidentally enough, Lizzie also met a new and mysterious stranger the same day you met Hope. The two of you bonded for the past few days over your slightly similar situations which you felt was very weird but also kind of cool.
“There’s no way Sebastian is like us and I’m determined to figure out just what he is.”
“And you couldn’t do this--hm, I don’t know--after the game today?” You ask in urgency for her to play today, “I mean, seriously Lizzie, this could be huge for us.”
“What’s wrong with Landon being your QB?”
Your eyes widen in shock, “Are you kidding? Just look at him!”
The both of you direct your attention to Landon on the field as Josie hands him the football. You prepare yourself for disaster as he winds his arm back, but then you find yourself proven wrong as you watch the distance the ball was being thrown. It seemed to soar through the sky for what felt like hours before bouncing off of a window from the Timberwolves’ bus.
“Looks like he has the magic touch now,” Lizzie says knowingly before returning to her book while you continue to stare at the bus in shock.
Right before you decided it was the best time to look away, a familiar someone seems to catch your eye instead. Walking down the steps of your rival school’s bus was none other than Hope Marshall.
“No way,” you muttered to yourself, unsure if you should be happy to see her again or concerned that she’s on the team you’re playing against.
Absentmindedly, you slowly started drifting away from your spot by Lizzie and felt yourself being pulled in Hope’s direction. You had to get closer to clarify that she was who you were seeing and not some sick mirage you’ve created in your brain.
“L/n!” Dorian jumps in front of you, breaking your trance and blocking your path towards the opposing team, “Save any trash talk for the game. I don’t need you picking a fight with the other players before we even start.”
You had built yourself a reputation for these annual games and were known for getting kicked out due to foul plays off the field, “But Mr. Williams I was just-”
“That’s Coach Williams today, L/n. Back to your side. Go on!” He rushes you away and though you are strong enough to push past him, you’d rather play then be a benchwarmer for the rest of the day.
An annoyed growl rumbles in the back of your throat as you try to catch one more glimpse of Hope, but you were blocked by Dorian’s clipboard.
Josie can clearly see the longing anticipation in your eyes as you join your team’s side of the field. You looked like a lost kid in a mall looking for their parents, “Everything okay, Y/n?”
“Do you remember those drawings from my sketchbook this summer? The ones of that girl, but all you can really see are her eyes and hair?” You ask her in a hushed voice.
She nods, “Yeah, the one you said you’ve been seeing in your dreams.”
“Okay, well I met her the night of our first day back at school. She’s real and she’s here with the Timberwolves,” Josie furrows her eyebrows at you.
“So you met her before your dreams?”
“No. That’s the thing, I’ve never seen her in town before the other night and after all my dreams. I know for damn sure that I’d remember her being on our rival school’s football team given how many times I’ve tried kicking their asses every year.”
“Maybe she’s a new student this year? You very well could’ve seen her at the Grill this summer without even realizing it. Our brains only need to see a face once for them to show up in our dreams.”
“Josie, I swear on everything in my life that it’s-”
The referee’s whistle rings your ears as he calls for everyone’s attention, “Stallions! Timberwolves! Both teams meet in the middle for the coin toss!”
You and Josie sigh knowing that you’d have to put a pin in this conversation, “You ready?” She asks.
You nod, doing a few quick stretches since you didn’t get a lot of warm up time and to prepare yourself for seeing Hope again, “Yeah. Let’s do this.”
A wave of excitement filled your chest as you walked with Josie towards the middle of the field. The bashful smile on your face was hard to contain once your eyes landed back on Hope who you could clarify was very much real and very much here in front of you once more.
“Oh, wow,” Josie mutters with surprise from beside you.
“I told you I liked my chances, Marshall,” you smirk, gaining a small tight lipped smile from Hope in return.
“I guess today was your lucky day, then. Not for long, though,” she challenged, playfully squinting her eyes at you.
You lean your body slightly forward with a confident grin, “We’ll see about that.”
Your teammates share a confused look at the interaction they were witnessing between you two. “I see you’re... familiar with each other,” Hope’s teammate chimes in.
With a shrug you say, “We’re practically married. Isn’t that right, Marshall?”
Hope shakes her head at you, biting her lip to keep her mouth shut long enough for Vardamus to stand between your two teams and break your friendly banter.
With a little sprinkle of magic from Josie, your team won the coin toss with ease so the Stallions would be receiving the ball at the start.
“Okay, what was that?” Josie asks as the two of you walk back to your side of the field.
“What? Did you want me to call heads instead?”
“No! Not that. You and that girl.”
“I told you we met the other night,” you shrug, “and her name is Hope for your information.”
“That was not an interaction from two people who’ve only had one conversation, Y/n. Not to mention she really does look like the girl from your drawings. Are you sure you haven’t met before?”
“That’s what I was telling you and yes, I’m positive that I’ve never interacted with her prior to the other night. You think that if I hadn’t seen or met her at the Grill during the summer that we wouldn’t be best friends by now?”
“Well, you could’ve fooled me! I know you’re labeled as the social butterfly and all, but that must’ve been some long conversation if that’s how you’re acting around each other.”
You pause to think about it for a moment, “Actually it was only about ten minutes.”
“WHAT?!”
The conversation was cut short by the sound of the ref’s whistle signaling you all to line up for kickoff. You jog away to your position before Josie can interrogate you any longer and wait for the game to begin.
Stallions were able to use magic to their advantage and gain points within the first play which was something you never thought you’d see during your time here. As everyone repositions into defense, you notice that Hope is the quarterback for the Timberwolves.
“Okay, Y/n. I’m about to suggest something you may or may not like,” Josie says from next to you.
“Don’t worry, I got the QB,” you grin, gaining Hope’s attention. She notices the mischievous look in your eyes and almost looks as if she knows what you’re up to, making her a little nervous.
“Like it is, I guess,” Jo huffs.
Once the football reached Hope’s hands, you made a b-line towards her, quick to avoid any other players who were blocking your way. Careful not to crush her during the fall, you took Hope by the waist and spun the both of you to the ground.
Your tackle didn’t do much good given that she was still able to pass the ball. Whether it got to her teammate or not you weren’t too sure of at the moment because Hope’s body was literally tangled with yours.
With her one hand against your chest and the other keeping her propped up on the grass, Hope’s face was almost an inch away from you. Feeling her breathing heavily on your face, you oddly felt like you’ve been in this exact position before.
“Bet you enjoyed doing that, huh?” Hope speaks up, getting you to huff out a chuckle.
“Well it wasn’t the preferred way I wanted to take you out, per say, but a little bit, yeah,” you smile, getting her to laugh in return.
Being in this position with someone you’ve talked to so briefly should feel awkward, but for whatever reason it just felt right. If it weren’t for the fact that you were playing in a football match, you’d probably want to stay like this for a while longer.
Suddenly, Hope’s eyes widen as she quickly rolls off you and begins wincing in pain while grabbing at her ankle.
“Are you okay?” You ask while sitting up.
“Ah, I don’t know. I-I think it’s sprained,” she lightly groans, scrunching up her face.
“Shit, Marshall. I’m sorry. I didn’t realize that I-” you shake your head, pushing yourself to your feet before reaching out to help Hope up, “here, I can help take you to the nurse if you want.”
“It’s okay. I can find it,” she shakes her head and she takes note of the worried look in your eye knowing that you had hurt her, “Hey, seriously Y/n, it’s fine. I’ll be okay.” Hope squeezes your arm and gives you a reassuring look before limping off the field.
You watched as she walked away, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion. You were sure that you were careful while pulling her to the ground. Hope didn’t seem to be in any sort of pain for the first few seconds after tackling her.
“You know she faked her injury right?” Josie pops in out of nowhere, making your heart nearly burst out of your chest.
“Jesus, Jo,” you take a deep breath before taking in her inquisition, “And you think so?”
“Yeah and I don’t know why, but maybe you should keep an eye on her.”
“Why? Do you think she’ll steal some snacks from the kitchen?” You jokingly ask.
“Well, you started having dreams of her after Malivore was destroyed and now she seems to be oddly gravitated to this town and our school. I’m just saying that you should be a little more careful about trusting her so fast.”
Though you haven’t felt anything off-putting about Hope, Josie had an annoyingly excellent point. “I guess I’m on watch duty, then. Find a sub for me.”
It was shocking to see that Hope had gotten so far ahead of you that you weren’t even in running distance from her. Oddly fishy for someone who just sprained their ankle. Even as you walked into the school, there was no sign of her in the halls or the nurse’s office.
There was one thing that stuck out--a familiar scent that you had smelled in that vacant dorm room this summer. Only this time it was a lot stronger than when you first caught it.
Out of curiosity, you followed the smell just to see if it would lead you anywhere. Crazily enough, it didn’t take you to the vacant room like you thought it would, but to Landon and Raf’s dorm room instead.
Your eyes widen to the size of saucers when you see Hope sitting cross-legged in front of a map that she was currently dripping her own blood onto.
“Hope?”
She quickly turns around and stands, startled by the sound of your voice, “Y/n! Uh, I um, this isn’t what it--”
“Isn’t what it looks like? Right. Well, it looks like you faked an injury to sneak into the school. It looks like you forgot to mention you were a witch the other night. It also looks like you’re doing a locator spell in my missing friend’s room.”
Hope remains silent for a couple of seconds, almost taken back by the passive way you were speaking to her, “Okay, maybe it’s exactly what it looks like.”
You huff out a sigh in disbelief, letting Josie’s suspicions about Hope sink into your head now.
“I’m not here to hurt you or anyone else here, Y/n. I promise, I’m trying to help. Dr. Saltzman asked me to do a locator spell on Rafael so that I can help him return to his human form.”
You give her a questioning look, “We’ve been looking for a way to turn him back for months now. What makes you think you can?”
“Because I know more about the Crescent Wolf Clan than anyone else here.”
You raise a brow, “That wolf pack in New Orleans? If you know so much about it, wouldn’t that make you a…” then the realization sets in.
Hope sees that you’re still skeptical, “Look, I can’t explain everything right now, but I really need you to trust me, Y/n.”
Most of the context clues told you that trusting someone you’ve only known for less than a day was a terrible, terrible idea, but your heart wouldn’t let you believe that.
As much as you shouldn’t, you trusted Hope more than anything.
You exhale, “Okay, Marshall. I’m trusting you. Is there anything you need me to do?”
Hope gives you a grateful smile, “Keep an eye on Landon. There’s a werewolf-eating monster out in the woods and I have no idea if it will be after him, too,” she says, walking past you and into the hallway.
Again, you’re confused with even more new information, “Wait, there’s a what in the woods? And how do you know the monster would be after Landon?” Hope ignores your questions, continuing to speed walk in front of you, “Marshall!”
A lot of events took place within the next couple of hours. You did as Hope asked and watched Landon back at the game which seemed pretty boring at first.
Josie took you by surprise as you witnessed her break another player’s arm with a spell mid-play, but to be fair it didn’t look like she realized what she was doing until the damage was done.
If that wasn't physically violent enough, there was a huge mosh fight between both schools after the game was over. You tried getting out of the crossfire because the last thing you needed was detention for being involved in something you didn’t mean to be a part of.
That didn’t go as planned seeing as one of the Timberwolves was able to punch a mean hook on your right cheek before you could scramble out of there. Most of the redness faded by the end of the night, but it was still a little sore whenever you poked at it.
Hope was able to return Raf back to his human form just like she said she would. He explained how this “mysterious girl” saved his life then you and your friends gave him a warm welcome back to humanity.
After cleaning yourself up, you snuck out of the school’s building to find Hope sitting out at one of the piers where she told you to meet her before parting ways earlier.
You could tell she had cleaned up as well judging by the change of clothes and seeing that her hair was no longer tied up in braids, but now flowing down over her shoulders.
“Well, today was eventful, huh?” You speak up, groaning as you take a seat next to her.
“Oh, my God. Y/n, your face!” Hope exclaims.
“You know you can just call me ugly, Marshall. There’s no need for you to act all aghast about it.” You tease.
“No, I mean the gash on your cheek.” She reaches for your face to observe your wound more clearly.
You let her lightly trace along the edge of the bump, almost unfazed by the contact, “Oh right, that.”
“What kind of altercation did you get yourself into?”
You scoff, looking more hurt by the question rather than the punch to your face, “Bold of you to assume it was me who initiated the altercation, Marshall.”
“Well, you just seem like the type is all.” She looks at you with a teasing look in her eyes.
“What a kind and accurate assumption you have of me there, but for the record I wasn’t the one who started the fight. Everyone just started going at each other after the game and I got caught in the crossfire.”
There’s a very noticeable shift in Hope’s mood and you can tell that she was genuinely worried about you getting hurt. All she could think about was the last time you were caught in the crossfire and how it nearly cost you your life. You didn’t know that, of course, but you felt the need to reassure her.
“You’re cute when you’re worried, Marshall, but I’m fine. I promise, a punch to the face is like a slap on the wrist. You should know the healing process is quite fast for a werewolf.” You give her a knowing look.
Hope’s eyes widen in realization, making her finally pull her hand away from your face. “You caught onto that, huh?”
“I figured it out once you mentioned the Crescent Wolves. Raf only confirmed it when he explained how this mysterious werewitch saved his life,” Hope looks down at her lap looking like a kid who got caught in a lie, “Thank you, by the way. For bringing my friend back.”
She meets your gaze again, giving you a tight lipped smile, “You’re welcome.”
“You know it’s too bad you didn’t have me helping you out there. Given that we’ve got a pretty good thing going on here, we could’ve made a badass team.”
“You got punched in the face by a human. How do you think you would’ve stood against a monster that actively wanted to kill you?”
“That’s the whole point of being a team. One runs around failing miserably while the other pulls the weight.”
Hope scrunches her eyebrows together, “That’s literally not what being a team is supposed to be like at all.”
“Seriously?” You ask cluelessly, “Damn, well I guess I’ve been doing it wrong all this time.”
She laughs and for the first time you notice the way her eyes squint together when she really lets herself smile. It sparked a feeling in you that you hadn’t felt before.
“You’re just full of surprises today, aren’t you, Marshall?” You speak up in a playful tone, lightly bumping her shoulder, “Has our 24-hour friendship meant nothing to you? I mean, seriously, how could you not tell me you were a hybrid?”
Hope gives you an appalled scoff, “You didn’t tell me you were a werewolf. Looks like we both hid something from each other last night.”
You stare at her for a second, squinting your eyes as you analyze her, “Hmm. Touche, Marshall.”
She lets out another laugh and this time you swear you can feel your heart begin to grow.
Gosh, she’s really beautiful.
You wished you could say the words aloud. Part of you was surprised that you couldn’t given how bold you’ve been with Hope regardless of the little amount of time you’ve known her.
As much as you wanted to make some sort of move now, you felt you had to draw the line somewhere.
“Y/n, you’re staring.” Hope tells you in a voice that was just above a whisper.
You blink yourself back to reality, “Sorry,” you say with your voice just as hushed, “It’s just that… I think…” For the first time in your life you have no idea what to say. No witty comment or dumb remark.
You searched her deep blue eyes for an answer you couldn’t find. If anything you felt even more lost the longer you looked into them.
I really want to kiss you right now. Your mouth was open, but no words were willing to come out.
For a second you swore you saw Hope begin to lean forward, but the moment ended rather abruptly thanks to your cell phone ringer.
“Jesus,” you flinch yourself back into reality once again before picking up the phone, “Hello?”
“Y/n, where the hell are you? Vardamus has done a room check twice now and says you haven’t been answering your door.” Lizzie frantically asks you.
“I’ll be there in a second. Just cover for me if he’s still lurking in the halls and tell him I’m knocked out from today’s game.”
“Fine, just hurry your ass up!” She whisper-shouts before hanging up.
You let out a deep and exaggerated sigh, “Well, fun’s over, Marshall,” you grin sadly, “It’s pumpkin time.”
She returns a soft smile back at you, “I guess this is goodbye.”
“I’ll only say goodbye if it means we’re gonna say hello again,” you tell her as you rise to your feet.
“Well, then let's not say goodbye,” she says while you help her up, “Maybe if we just say goodnight instead, that's gotta mean we'll see each other again.”
You look down at her with a smirk, “That's all I need, Marshall.”
Hope rolls her eyes with a smile she couldn't contain. Just when you thought she’d walk away, she takes you by surprise as she presses a small kiss on your wounded cheek, “Goodnight, Y/n.”
You bite the sides of your cheeks to keep your smirk from turning into the goofiest looking smile you could possibly imagine, “Goodnight, Hope,” you say, finally turning back to make your way towards the school.
At this point, you couldn’t tell if the heat in your face was from the kiss or the punch.
Baking Lesson
Flufftober, October 1st
Vampire reader x Hope Mikaelson and Lizzie Saltzman
Summary: You attempt to give Hope and Lizzie a baking lesson.
Warnings: None
A/n: I've always headcannoned that Hope and Lizzie are both horrible at any type of cooking or baking, so I finally wrote something about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright, you girls ready?" You tie your apron strings around your waist.
"Yeah" Hope says, also in an apron. "Why do we need to wear these awful things? It's a fashion nightmare" Lizzie states her opinion.
"To protect your clothing from getting any food on it in the process" You answer, a smile pulling at your lips.
You've already pulled all of the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies out of the fridge and cupboards. And they're splayed out on the counter surface.
"Okay. First things first, no touching the oven, I don't need you to burn yourselves, second, listen to my instructions carefully, And lastly, do not, and I mean DO NOT put any random things in the batter, whether you think it'd be 'good' or want to 'experiment'" You said, sighing. There's probably more that you could think of, but you'll leave them with those three for right now.
"Okay" Hope agreed. "Fine" Lizzie grumbled at the same time. In her opinion she's a great cook. So what, she's burned one or two, or everything she's ever tried to make, but she's getting better. Well, there weren't any big fires the last couple times, only smoke.
Okay maybe she did need this lesson along with Hope. Who also cannot cook anything to save her or anyone's life.
You slowly guide them step by step how to make the cookies. It started pretty good up until it got to cracking the eggs.
"How's it goi- Nope, stop right there" You turn from putting the flour away and vamp over to the girls. You take the eggs both of the girls were holding and grabbed the empty plastic bowl from the side and slide it over.
"Lets crack the eggs into this bowl instead of the batter bowl because I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be a mess of shells happening in there and we don't want to contaminate everything else.
"Okay, fair enough" Hope nods. "Also. How do you crack an egg? like without smashing it into the counter?" Lizzie adds, asking you.
"You don't know how to? Okay, i don't know why I'm surprised. So." You sigh. You explain and show them how to crack the egg carefully against the rim of the bowl before spilt the shell away, dumping the contents into the bowl before throwing the empty shell into the trash.
They latch onto the explanation and tutorial. Hope went first (totally not because Lizzie pushed her in front of the bowl) and she slowly recounts the steps you showed. She cracked the egg against the side of the plastic bowl, getting a bit of the egg goop on fingers while she pours it into it. But after it, she only got one chunk of the shell in the bowl but you easily took it out.
Lizzie went after and lets just say that she got a bit messy, but nothing hazardous. You cleaned up all the spilt egg and shell. Though by the end, the eggs were fine and you poured them into the batter bowl. You also got them to add the vanilla and a bit of milk.
You give the mixing spoon to Lizzie to stir it all up. You then lead Hope over to the tray and line it with her, showing her how to get a piece of parchment paper without ripping it down the middle by mistake.
"Good job" You tell her, smiling when she places the best piece of parchment over the tray in front of her and flattened it down.
"How's it going, Liz?" You turn back over to the blond siphoner. "Good, I think everything's mixed together"
You look into the bowl and nod. "Yeah, looks great. lets take it over to the trays" You smile.
You lead her with the bowl in her hands to the other counter where Hope stands. "Can you grab two of the ice cream scoops?" You ask her. "Yeah" Hope agrees and goes to the drawer where they're kept and takes two out and walks back over.
"Alright, now the sorta easy part. All you gotta do is scoop some of it in and then plop it on the tray in smaller roundish shapes. All you gotta do is make sure you don't spill it everywhere and not put too much or else it'll turn into a disaster while they're in the oven." You explain to the two of them. You get nods and affirmatives to the girls.
"Have at it" You tell them while you stand back leaning against the counter opposite while keeping an eye on them as they scoop and plop the batter onto the trays.
You put the trays in the oven once they were ready and also take it out once they were done. Because you honestly have no faith in either of them not accidentally burning themselves.
"Mmmm, they're so good" Lizzie groans while swallowing her first bite of cookie. Hope nods in agreement, taking another bite of her own.
"Yeah, they are. And now you guys have at least a subtle sense of how to bake. But please don't alone, come get me first or Josie, or anyone else who knows how to cook and can keep up with you both" You tell them before biting into your own cookie.

new masterlist| prompt list| color prompts| ko-fi
A few days after the incident in the cafeteria Y/N began to slowly talk to the witches and vampires, but still kept her distance from the werewolves. After what happened she didn’t want to give them any ammunition against her. For whatever reason, she noticed that Jed was constantly trying to talk to her or apologize for the events that happened days prior. She really didn’t want anything to do with him or his pack considering they were just trying to pick a fight with her for no reason, but Jed really did want to apologize to her.
Y/N had a study hall, which she generally spent with the twins and Hope. She was already sitting at their usual spot in the student lounge, working on her homework and waiting for the girls. Jed just so happened to have a study hall as well, but most of his were recently trying to figure out what he was going to say to Y/N. Today was the day he decided to pull on his big boy pants and just talk to her. Taking in a deep breathe he walked over to where she was sitting and sat in the chair opposite of her.
“I know you probably don’t want to talk to me but I want to get to know you and apologize for what my pack did the other day in the cafeteria.” Jed said quickly. Y/N looked up from her notebook, a clear ‘I’m not interested’ look plastered on her face. “Please let me make it up to you.” There was a moment of silence before she let out a sigh and nodded in agreement. Jed grinned as he stood up, clapping his hands together. “Great, uh okay, tonight around seven?” Y/N agreed and Jed finally left her alone just as the other three girls showed up. They all eyed Jed, giving him a death glare as he walked by them.
Jade let out a breathe of relief as he went to go find Landon, Kaleb and M.G. After walking around the school for a few minutes he found them in Landon’s room, all of them arguing about which Superman actor was the best.
“Nah man, Henry Cavil as Superman was the best, he just embodied it more.” M.G argued with Landon as he shook his head at him.
Landon let out a grunt as he leaned back against his head board. “The original Superman was the best, I don’t get why you can’t understand that.” Their stupid banter was cut short as Kaleb looked over at an awkward Jed standing in the doorway. “Uh, hey man, can we help you?” Landon said as looked just confused as his two vampire friends.
“I need your guys’ help with setting up a date tonight to make it up to Y/N.” Jed spoked quickly, his nerves starting to get the best of him.
Kaleb snorted as he shook his head, “And why should we help you? You’re the one that fucked up with your little crush.” Kaleb rolled his eyes.
Jed balled up his fists and clenched his jaw. “She’s not just a crush.” He said as he began to calm himself down, “She’s my mate, and I feel horrible about what happened in the cafeteria.” He said softly, sincerity was laced in his voice which told the three boys that he was serious about making it up to Y/N.
As much as the three boys didn’t like Jed for everything he had done to them and how he treated all of them, they could tell by the way he was fiddling with his hands and tapping his feet, he was nervous and really wanted everything to be perfect.
M.G. nodded as he stood up, “I’ll help, but only because Y/N deserves to know that she has people that care about her.” Jed nodded in agreement and glanced over at the other two students. They groaned as they grumbled a ‘fine’, all three of them going along with whatever was about to happen.
“Do you at least have any plans? You’re not just gonna get her and not having anything to do right?” Kaleb questioned as he raised an eyebrow at the werewolf. Jed stayed silent. “So not only are we helping you get this ready for Y/N, we’re helping you plan the whole thing because apparently you can’t plan something as simple as this.”
Jed rolled his eyes, “It’s not as simple as you think. She’s my mate and I messed up with what happened the other day, she deserves to know how I feel and everything needs to be perfect.” The three boys sighed as they put their belongings to the side and made a spot for Jed in their group. Jed walked over to where they were, taking a seat on the floor and pulling a notebook out from his backpack.
The four students planned the nights events during their off period and during lunch, making sure that Jed had all of his bases covered. They had decided to go with a night time picnic, making one of Y/n’s favorite dishes but also making sure to keep a blood bag cooled in the basket. They were going to set it all up in the witches hang out spot, thinking that it would be more romantic and secluded there than anywhere else. Everything seemed good so far, they had the place, time, meals, it seemed perfect.
That was until someone told the rest of the werewolves and they were making it their mission to sabotage the evening.
Jed and the other three boys began putting everything together for the nights events once school was over, which was around three o’clock. MG and Landon were on decorations out in the little witch hide out while Jed and Kaleb were on meal prepping. Though Kaleb hated the boy, he did have to admit that what he was doing for Y/N was sweet and he thought it was almost honorable that he was going to such lengths to apologize to Y/N.
Kaleb let out an awkward cough as he walked across the kitchen to grab some ingredients for his side of the meal he was making. “You know man, I think it really is nice what you’re doing for Y/N. It shows that you really care about her.” Jed was taken back a bit, surprised that such kind words came out of Kaleb’s mouth.
Instead of saying some snarky comment he replied with a simple ‘thank you’, before the two fell back into silence.
While the boys had been preparing for the night, they had managed to rope the girls into their plans and got them to help Y/N get ready for the evening. Yes she did know that her and Jed were having dinner that evening, but she didn’t know just how far he was taking it. When Lizzie began pulling out these fancy dresses she thought the girls were really just out here trying to get her laid. It aggravated Y/N that everyone else knew what was happening but she had no clue. Being left in the dark was her least favorite thing, it meant she couldn’t prepare for things.
“Hello, earth to Y/N.” Lizzie snapped her fingers in front of the heretic’s face, causing Y/N to snap out of her daze. Her eyes locked onto Lizzie who had an annoyed expression on her face since Y/N wasn’t paying attention to what she had just asked her.
Y/N hummed looking at her like she had been listening, tilting her head to try and make it more convincing. “I’m sorry, what did you say?” Y/N asked.
Lizzie rolled her eyes as she held up two dresses. One was a longer floral dress with a slit up the side, and the other was a slightly shorter floral dress as well. In Y/N’s eyes she didn’t see the difference between the two dresses, they were just clothes. Lizzie handed her the first dress since Y/N didn’t want to make a decision and told her to go put it on. Y/N did so with an annoyed groan. Did she think something spontaneous was going to come out of this? Y/N was only being nice to Jed and that’s why she accepted his offer for dinner tonight, there was nothing else to it.
Y/N slid into the dress, sighing as she didn’t want to see what she looked like in it, she was never one to dress up and draw extra attention to herself. She got enough that being a heretic. She stepped out of the bathroom, smoothing down the sides of the dress and looking up at the three girls were gawking at the sigh in front of her.
“What? Does it not look good?” Why was she stressing over this? It’s not like this was a date or anything. “Maybe I should just put my other clothes back on.” As she went to reach for the outfit she wore earlier that day Josie stopped her by gently grabbing her wrist.
“You look amazing, Y/N. You should see for yourself.” She said as she turned her friend towards the mirror. Y/N looked up at her reflection, her own gasp almost escaping her lips. She did look good, really good in fact. The dress hugged her just right, every curve, roll, and dip of her body the dress perfected it.
Y/N could see the girls smiling behind her causing her to smile herself. She had never felt so.. happy with how she looked before, this was a first for her. The girls continued on their quest to help Y/N get ready for the rest of the evening.
About an hour and half later, Landon came knocking on the door to see if Y/N was ready yet. Thankfully they had just finished up her hair and she was ready to go. She hugged the girls and thanked them as she walked out and followed a very speedy Landon down the stairs. He didn’t walk her all the way out to where Jed had set up their evening.
Y/N followed the trail of fairy light along a pebbled path until she reached the witch’s hiding area. It was decorated quite nicely, even she would have to admit that the boy had put in a lot of effort to make the place look nice. Y/N’s doubts about the werewolf hadn’t completely faded as she hadn’t seen any sign of him, that was until she saw him lighting a few more candles around the edges of the small building to give it some more light.
“Looks like you’ve really out done yourself, huh?” Y/N said as she stepped under the roof. Jed quickly turned around, nearly knocking over a candle and setting the place on fire. She chuckled at his clumsiness and walked over to the table.
Jed cleared his throat as he smoothed out his blazer. “You look amazing.” Jed’s breathe seemed to have a hard time returning to his body after his first look at the girl in front of him. Of course he thought she was beautiful anyways, but this? This was something else. Jed walked over to where Y/N was going and pulled out the chair for her to sit. She did so, mumbling a soft ‘thank you’. The werewolf walked back over to his seat and smiled awkwardly.
Yes, Jed had been on dates before, many dates to be honest, but this was his fist date with his mate. The person he’d be spending the rest of his life with if the world would to be so kind and allow that to happen. He reached into the center of the table and unveiled the nights meal, Korean beef bowls with fried dumplings. Y/N was a little shocked to say the least, Korean food was one of her favorite foods so the fact that he made her something she enjoyed was pretty unexpected.
“Kaleb said you liked Korean food and I remember my parents teaching me how to make this so I thought it was a good idea.” Jed nervously explained as he handed one the bowls to Y/N. She took with a smile.
“It’s great thank you.” She said softly. Her hard exterior was finally starting to come down, something that rarely happened even if she was with close friends and family. Jed smiled as the two began to eat and make small talk, the two finally learning new things about the other.
There was no doubt in Y/N’s mind that something was.. different when she talked to Jed. She felt safe, which was a new feeling for her since she had literally been hunted down and despised her whole life. She felt like she was able to talk to him about anything, though she knew she wouldn’t because of how bad of an idea it was, she still felt like she could.
As the night went on Jed kept trying to figure out how he was going to tell Y/N that she was his mate. The one she was meant to be with forever. It’s not something to take lightly, and lord knows what a half witch, half vampire would think about this. Y/N would for sure thing Jed was playing another sick joke on her, something the pack put him up to. It was eating away at him on the insides, he just wanted to blurt it out and clear the air.
That’s kind of what happened.
Jed was about to explain everything to her, from why he was so mean to her on her first day, to the moment he invited her to eat lunch with him and the rest of his pack, to that very moment of the two teens sitting and enjoying a meal. That didn’t happen though.
Somewhere around them there were pack members ready to pounce on their prey and ruin Jed and Y/N’s night. The girl from before, the one who had started trouble with Y/N in the first place, wanted revenge for being humiliated in front of the whole school. In the midst of her anger, she and a few other werewolves who weren’t too fond of the new girl, hatched a plan to completely ruin Jed’s wonderfully planned evening and to make his mate hate him forever.
She nodded to her pack members as they emerged from a few bushes, all of them holding a dark colored liquid that resembled blood a little too well. As soon Y/N caught their scent she had stopped talking and narrowed her eyes at Jed. He was confused at first, and then he saw his friends.
“Well, what do we have here?” The girl hummed. She swung the bottle around haphazardly, not having a care in a world what would happen if it splashes onto the two.
Jed stood up in a protective type stance, his hands bawled at his sides. “What are you doing here?” Jed was pissed, that much was obvious. Y/N watched as they slowly became surrounded by the small group of wolves, all of them holding identical bottles.
“Just came to see if you told your mate, what she is to you.” One of the other wolves sneered, “wanted to see if you told her the truth yet.”
Y/N was beyond confused and looked at Jed with raised eyebrows, her arms crossing over her chest as she waited for a response. There was chuckling all around her as the wolves drew closer, encasing them in their circle.
“It looks like you haven’t yet, have you?” They mused towards Jed, he looked at Y/N with a wary glance. Y/N looked at them, wondering if any of them were going to spit it out or not. They looked her dead in the eye as the opened up their bottles with a wicked grin. “He thinks you’re a nasty bloodsucker that he’s stuck with as a mate.” Without any further hesitation they doused the teens in a waterfall of the deep red liquid. It wasn’t blood, probably watered-down fake blood, but it still triggered Y/N.
Her dress, the one that wasn’t even hers to begin with, was now stained red as if she had just gone on a ripper rampage, she was just told this was all another joke and everyone basically thought of her as a monster. She couldn’t hold back anymore as her fangs released themselves and she made her way towards each of the werewolves.
The scene unfolding before Jed’s eyes could have honestly been from a horror movie with the way everything was moving. Before Jed had even realized, Y/N had put two of the werewolves on the ground in a whimpering mess. They were hurt, badly as it seemed to be. She took them out one by one, switching between her strength and then spells. She had the last wolf corned against the wall as they tried to back away from her as far as they could. Her hand wrapped around their throat, squeezing slightly as she growled at them, “You come near me again I’ll rip your hearts from your chests and use them as sacrifices, do you understand me?” Her voice was terrifying, menacing even.
The wolf nodded as she threw him against the wall then skirted off with the rest of his pals. Y/N was never one to lose control the way she just did, but after all this torment from the wolves they needed to put into place.
As if it was second nature, she calmed down with a few mumbled curses under her breathe before she turned to face Jed. This would not be easy to recover from. He saw her lash out, he saw what she could do and how utterly terrifying she can be. She was a monster, one that didn’t deserve a mate like Jed.
The boy was still stuck in his original place, the blood drying to his clothes and staining them. Jed went to go move forward to Y/N, but in return she stepped back even more. She was trying to stop the tears forming in her eyes, though it seemed her body and emotions were getting the best of her. Jed looked sad, he felt sad. Why would his pack, his friends ruin this? They all go to same school, they all share the same walls of the school. Why was her being his mate so horrible to them?
Before Jed could even get a word in to Y/N they heard rapid footsteps approaching, turning their attention to the group of friends that stood behind them. Y/N turned around to look at their faces, sure that they’d all hate after how she lost her temper.
“Oh my god,” Josie covered her mouth in shock as she looked at the scene. Though the wolves were no longer present, the blood stained clothes and tears in Y/N’s eyes said enough.
“I’m so sorry,” Y/N whispered softly as she looked at the group, tears now falling freely down her cheeks. “They ruined the dress- I’m so so sorry. I can pay to have it cleaned, or buy a new one, I’m so sorry.” Y/N was rambling about something that didn’t even really matter, but yet she was still worried about it.
Josie, Lizzie, and Hope walked towards Y/N as she stayed still in her place, not daring to move. “Y/N, we don’t care about the dress.” Lizzie said softly, “We wanted to make sure you’re okay.”
At that moment she lost it, crying so hard her knees almost gave out below her. She shook her head rapidly, sobbing as loud as her chest would allow her to. “No, no I’m not okay. I don’t understand why they hate me so much, I haven’t done anything to them!” She exclaimed rather harshly. “I hate it here, I hate this.” She sobbed.
Hope looked at Jed who was still standing their quietly. The tribrid was giving him the death stare, and boy if looks could kill he’d for sure be dead. Jed was staring at his alpha, Raphael. He was begging for help, any help in fact. He didn’t like seeing his mate in pain, sobbing that she hated their school and possibly him. This was his chance to make up for what his pack had done the other day at lunch, but here they were again, his pack ruining everything for him.
Anyone with a good pair of eyes would be able to tell that Kaleb and M.G. were pissed beyond belief. Their eyes locked onto the young wolf, and if it weren’t for Raphael being there they would’ve ripped him a new one.
Y/N turned towards Jed after a moment, her tears mixing with the dried fake blood, her mascara running down her face. “I no longer wish to be your mate.” She said in a dead tone. “I will not be treated like this, and if it is true that you are my... mate, I do not wish for this to go any farther.” She didn’t think that saying those words would have hurt as much as they did, but now she felt like she was having her crushed with a mallet over and over again.
Jed’s heart fell to his stomach at her words. He was losing his mate, all because his stupid pack wouldn’t accept the truth. “No, no please I promise you they were lying. Not about you being my mate, that is true, but I don’t think you’re a monster. I want you as my mate, please.” Jed had managed to get within a few feet of Y/N and now she could see that he was also crying. Y/N looked down at her feet, refusing to look him in the eye.
“This was a mistake,” She mumbled towards so the ground, “it was all a mistake and I’m sorry it put you through so much trouble.” Jed’s heart was breaking, he felt like his life would end right then and there. Y/N turned back to her friends who were shocked that she had just ended with things, and more importantly that Jed was pleading for her to stay.
Without another word Y/N began the walk back to the school, cloaking herself in the invisibility spell as she walked. The group followed, leaving Jed there in the dark to cry to himself.
-
Days passed after that horrid night and no one had seen or heard from Jed and Y/N as the two had locked themselves in their rooms. They stayed there all day and night, only occasionally coming out to get food or shower.
While the vampires and witches were trying to console Y/N and reassure her that she did nothing wrong and was not a monster, the werewolves were out spreading rumors about that night. She heard everything of course, between gossip and her advanced hearing, it wasn’t hard to miss
Jed wanted revenge. He was angry, pissed off beyond belief. These people were supposed to be his family, his pack, and they went out of their way to make his life a living hell so that he wouldn’t have his mate. No matter their reasons behind it, they were all probably insanely stupid anyways, he was going to get back at them for what they did and get his mate back.
Most of the time he’d spend in his room he was hatching a plan to get back at his pack and teach them a lesson. He knew that practically all of the pack had not met their mates yet, the few that have had not gotten involved in the fighting over his mate. He’d hit them where it hurts and then go plead with Y/N to get her back.
Meanwhile, Y/N was looking at other schools for the supernatural. She really didn’t need to be in a school for the supernatural, but she figured it’d be easier to go there then to a regular human high school. She no longer wished to be within the same walls as her mate, even if she barely knew him, having told him that she did not want to be his mate made her heart ache in ways she didn’t know were possible.
Y/N’s music was playing softly in the background of her room as she looked at the dark web for the supernatural to find another school to go to. Any would be fine, there were a few out there, not a lot took heretics or mixed the species, but there were a few that did. Too lost in thought as she scrolled through a school in London had she missed the knock on her door. She ignored it, turning her music up a bit to drown out the person on the other side of the door, but unfortunately this person seemed very persistent.
“Go away!” Y/N shouted to the person on the other side of the door. The knocking continued, making Y/N more agitated. She got up, slamming her laptop shut as she marched to the door and threw it open. “I said ‘go away’, do you not understand that?” She growled, her anger get the best of her and turning her eyes that vibrant purple.
Jed stood there, mouth dry and heart racing. It took Y/N a moment to realize that it was him standing there and one her anger stopped blinding her, she shrank back a bit and stepped further behind the door. Jed was holding flowers and her favorite candy, the saddest most desperate look crossing his face as he looked at his mate.
Slowly he held out the gifts as he stuttered out an apology, “I’m sorry for what happened the other night, I want you to know that and I want you to know that- that I don’t see you as a monster or anything like that. I see you as my mate, someone I want to be with until the day I die and I will do absolutely anything for you to understand that.”
Y/N looked down at her slippers, the only shoes she had been wearing since that horrific night. “I- I don’t know, I don’t think this- whatever it is, would work. It’s just not in the cards for either one of us.” She mumbled as she was about to turn her back and close the door, but Jed’s foot got in the way of that.
“Tell me you don’t feel anything, and if you don’t then I’ll leave you alone but I know you have to feel something.” His eyes were pleading for her to say that she felt something like he did, that she felt the connection but instead she shook her head and lied.
“I- I don’t feel anything for you. I’m sorry.” Before Jed was able to get out another word Y/N had the door closed and locked. The pain they both felt was enough to make them stop breathing for a few seconds. Both of them waited on their sides of the doors, hoping the other would continue to fight for their mating bond, but that is not what happened.
Too much pain and heartbreak had been endured by these two teens, but there was still more to come..

Word Count: 2760
You and Milton Greasley had been dating for 5 years.
You met during your shared time together at Salvatore Boarding School. You were a witch who helped MG calm down whenever he went into a ripper mode. You had used spells to lower his bloodlust. You even made the bunny blood that the school had fed vampires taste as close to human blood as you could without triggering a negative response.
After you all graduated, The Super Squad all rented a house in Mystic Falls, and you were all roommates. The house had 5 bedrooms, one for you and MG, one for Lizzie, one for Josie, one for Hope, and one for Kaleb. However, since Josie and Hope began dating, they had moved into the tribrid's room, so now the empty space was more of a game room. There were board games and consoles in the closet, a pool table, and a regular round glass table surrounded by armchairs where you all could sit and play games.
Tonight was your bi-weekly game night, and you all had decided to play monopoly. Though it was a unanimous decision, you knew it could take days to finish. You were all very competitive, and none of you would go down without a fight. This is why, to finish faster, you decided to have a team game of monopoly.
On the day of, everyone had started going shopping for the concessions for the event. Trays of assorted cookies, hors-doeuvres, sandwich platters, as well as multiple different fruit juices were bought and set on a foldable table in the game room.
As you were setting and arranging everything on the table, your wonderful boyfriend came around to help you.
"Don't worry, love, I got it," you chuckled. "I am much capable of setting a party table on my own."
"C'mon, you make me feel like I'm not good enough to do simple things, babe," he laughed with you, though his words triggered something in your brain.
"Oh yeah?" you quipped. "These are some pictures from the last time you set the table for dinner…"
In the photo, the table linen was frowned up, the forks were out of place, some placements didn't even have certain utensils. The plates were pushed to the center, chairs closer to the edge than the food was.
"Oh..." he giggled lifelessly.
"Now you see why you don't use super speed to set up something like that?"
"I mean, I don't think it's the super speed, darling. I was simply being blinded by your beauty that day."
Your laugh thundered in the room. "Go away MG, I'm not letting you win today!"
"Aw dammit! Alright, love, I'll let you get back to your project," he stated before he walked out of the room.
--Meanwhile--
"Jo?"
"Yeah, Hope?"
The Saltzman twin had been brushing her hair in the mirror, getting ready for the game night later.
"You look gorgeous, so stop taking out every strand of your hair with this damn brush," Hope stated before yanking the brush out of the younger girls' hand.
Josie embraced Hope in a warm hug. "Thanks, Hope."
~-~-~
"Alright, everyone. Welcome to 'The Super Squad Bi-Weekly Game Night.' I'm your host, Y/N L/N, and you're watching Disney Channel." All of the friends burst out laughing. "Tough crowd, I see I see. Well, let's move on with the game, shall we?"
"First up introducing, He's the founder, he's the mediator, He is… MILTON GREASLEY!!"
They all clapped and cheered for MG before you moved on.
"Next up, She's the brain, she's the brawn. She is the tribrid, and she's got it going on, Hope Mikaelson!!"
Whoops and cheers echoed throughout the room.
You continued through all of your friends.
"The realistic, the cynic, the man with raps for days… Kaleb Hawkins!!"
"The sweet, the kind, but she can fuck up your mind, Josie Salvatore!!"
"She's sarcastic, totally bombastic, Lizzie Saltzman everybody!!"
"And ME! Could you tell I was trying to sound like those game show hosts everybody? No? Well, I was. Anyways young ones-" You wore a giant grin to emphasize the corniness of what you were saying before continuing.
"Alright, I'm dropping the act. It's too hard, jeez!" They all laughed at your antics. "I hope you guys are laughing with me and not at me."
You explained the rules for the game of teams.
“Here’s the way it goes, each player has the same amount of money they would have in a regular game of monopoly. However, every team only has one token, teams must make agreements on all purchases, trades, and decisions. Teams must take turns rolling the dice, and one team member must always be present at the board.”
“Alright.”
“Sounds easy”
“Let’s play!”
You stared at them dumbfounded. “I memorized and recited all that without stumbling on my words, and all I get is ‘sounds easy’?”
MG stood to comfort you.
“It’s alright, love,” he said, rubbing your shoulders lightly before pulling away. You scoffed.
“Alright then, let’s play. In this hat, I have slips of paper with all of your names, but first, in this bucket are sticks with numbers that will determine the order of selection. Step forward.”
They all stepped forward and grasped the popsicle sticks prior to stepping away from the bucket.
"Who has number 1?"
"Oh, I do!" Lizzie stepped forward and drew a slip of paper from the hat.
"Kaleb"
She and Kaleb sat back down at the table.
"Number 2?"
Hope stepped forward.
"MG"
They also went to go sit down beside Lizzie and Kaleb.
"That leaves me and you, Jo," you stated happily. Jo and yourself had one of the best team duos. In school, you two would be partnered up for projects often. With that experience of communication, you were sure to win.
You joined the rest of your friends at the table. Lizzie and Kaleb named their team, Team Siphon Vamp. Hope and MG had been Team 3 in 2, and you and Josie were the 'Twitches from two different misuses.'
"Alright, before the token selection, I must announce the prize of the game.
"The winners of the game will receive a dish duty pass for the rest of the week." Cheers louder than before erupted in the room.
"Lettuce commence!" The silence in the room was lethally quiet, and you could quite literally hear crickets. "Get it? Because lettuce sounds like let us?"
"It's ok, babe, let's just play," MG said before pulling you down. You grumped before deciding with Josie on the Penguin. Hope and MG had picked the dog, and Lizzie and Kaleb had chosen the dinosaur.
You, acting as the banker, dished out the money to all the players, and you commenced the game.
Lizzie and Kaleb went first. Lizzie rolled the dice, rolled 7, and landed on a chance card, which told her to advance to the nearest railroad, and they bought it. Hope and MG went next.
MG rolled a 5 and landed directly on Team Siphon Vamp's freshly purchased railroad, M100 out of their pocket already.
"Ooooh… MG…. Honey, you're losing money faster than you did when that PS5 came out, babe."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, ok! I'm still gonna kick your ass!"
You were taunting him. "You sure about that, love?"
"Yep!"
"You didn't even try to "kick my ass" last night, darling," you smirked.
Oohs erupted from your friends, and it was evident you knocked his ego down a peg.
At last, it was your team's turn. You and Josie each took one die in your hands and rolled it. You had landed a 6 and a 4, which landed you a visit to jail.
"Look who's losing now! You're literally in jail, babe," Hope teased Josie.
"Oh, whatever. Focus more on your lives-"
"-And less on ours!" your duo quipped.
Lizzie protested to this. "Hey hey hey!! That is my twin! Only I get to finish her sentences!"
You all laughed at this but continued your game.
Almost 15 rounds later, and everyone had a fair standing in the game.
Team Siphon Vamp had had 2 monopolies, on the railroads and on the pink properties.
Hope and MG had 3 already, the dark blue properties, the brown, and utilities. They also had 2 greens cards, the other being in the hands of you and Josie, as well as 1 red card that was being aimed for by you and Josie, who had the other 2 properties.
You guys also had monopolies on the yellow and orange properties. If you got the red card of Kentucky Avenue, you would be unstoppable.
"Baby," you called out.
"Yes, love?"
"I'll give you the other green for the red," you and Josie smiled.
"That's not fair babe, you'll own the corner," he protested.
"But the green is worth more. Please?" you pleaded, giving him puppy dog eyes.
Before he could utter another word, Josie spoke.
"We'll give you M100, and your first landing on any one of our properties will be free of rent."
Hope spoke up. "Sounds good to me!"
"Hell no! You're gonna have to do something way better than that before you fool this genius."
You whined.
"Fine, I'll give you one of my signatures back walks," you leveraged, knowing full well he couldn't resist. "C'mon, baby, I know how much your back has been hurting."
He agreed reluctantly. "Fine, but it better be worth it!"
Team Twitches cheered.
"Wait, what about us! We'll be demolished, you selfish weirdos." This was true. Lizzie and Kaleb were low on cash, they had rushed too fast to place houses, and now they were paying the price.
"Tough luck!" Hope and Josie chorused.
Soon, it had been as you all thought. Kaleb and Lizzie were in debt to Hope and MG. They had landed on Boardwalk Avenue, and it had 3 hotels on it, so they owed them M6000, M6000 they did not have.
Soon, they ended up relinquishing all their properties back to the bank for auction to pay off Hope and MG, gave them the rest of their money, and had to leave the game.
With 2 full monopolies from Lizzie and Kaleb, along with the last green property they needed, they had successfully turned the game around. Now it was Josie and you who were losing.
You all decided at this point to split the teams. Each team dividing both the cash and the monopolies equally, and two more pieces were added to the board, on the same spots as their former teammates, and you resumed.
Josie was soon knocked out due to MG within 5 rounds, and Hope was quick to crumble under your might, two turn-loops after that. They joined Lizzie and Kaleb at the pool table. They were now drinking beers since they no longer needed to be sober.
Soon it was just you and MG left in the game.
MG leaned forward closer to you while you were deciding what to do with your turn.
"You know what you could do, darling?" He whispered provocatively in your ear. "Give in."
You pushed him away. You were not going to lose to MG and his self-righteous ego that night.
"Shut up."
"Give in, baby. I know you want to."
"Shut up, Milton."
"Hey, Hey, Hey!" He yelled. "No need to get hostile!"
You decided you hadn't wanted to place any more houses, well, you couldn't at the moment. You rolled the dice but were in for a bitter-sweet realization.
You had been ready to pay an M100 luxury tax fee before you realized you landed on Boardwalk, one of the monopolies Hope had let MG keep in the split. MG had only since put 2 more hotels on it, and the price was now M10,000
"Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!"
Soon, your friends rushed over to where you two sat and began cackling, all except Josie, who was still hoping her former teammate would avenge her.
"Babe.."
You began selling your hotels and houses back to the bank, but it still wasn't enough. You sold your properties and gave the rest of your money to MG, but you still owed a few hundred Monopoly dollars.
"Fuck!"
He kissed your cheek, much to your dismay, and happily accepted his victory.
~-~-~
It had been almost 2 weeks, and you were still giving MG the silent treatment. He had been gloating about his win for the entire night, and you were livid.
You knew he didn't deserve it, but you didn't think you deserved to lose either.
You were staring at the ceiling. You had just woken up, and MG wasn't beside you.
You had hated those moments. No matter how mad you were at MG, you hated when you woke up, and he wasn't beside you.
After all, you guys had been through so much, and you were always worried that he would die abruptly and leave you. Even after the threat was over, you still felt this way.
After a few minutes, MG had come into the room, Kaleb at his side. Kaleb looked bored, and his face said all you needed to know... he didn't want to be there.
He was carrying a pot of pink hydrangeas in one hand and a pot of coffee in the other. He placed both on the nightstand beside you, disappearing for a short while, before coming back with a giant fruit bouquet in his hands. He set it on the nightstand as well before exiting the room and closing the door.
MG had carried a platter of all your favorite foods. Eggs, just the way you liked them, pancakes, hash browns, and your favorite flavor of yogurt. He had also gone ahead and made a smoothie bowl with your favorite fruits. Berries and banana chips littered the surface of it.
He placed the platter on the portable desk you had in your room for breakfast and bed and set it down, just above your lap. He then went to the mini-fridge in your room and got all the ingredients he needed to make your coffee just the way you liked it as well as a glass to pour it in.
"I'm sorry for bragging," he apologized. "I know how much you like to win, and it was very insensitive of me." He looked like he wanted to laugh at how ridiculous the reason he was apologizing for was. You turned your eyes away from him and the delicious breakfast he made.
"But baby, I miss you."
He walked over to you. "Please talk to me!"
He started trailing kisses on your forehead, down to your neck, resisting the urge to sink his teeth inside, something you had taught him. He knew exactly how to make you forgive him, and he was using every technique he had learned over the years.
"Please?" He whined, and you could see his pouty eyes without looking.
He sucked on your collarbone for a while and left a dark mark. Then he moved to the sensitive spot under your ear.
You moaned slightly, but he could hear it, even without his vampire hearing.
He pulled away, causing you to frown and whine.
"MG…" you complained. "That's not fair."
"So you're talking to me now?"
You looked away, you had slipped up, but you told yourself that would be the last time.
You simply ignored him and started to eat your breakfast.
He walked back towards you and began nibbling on your ear. You threw your head back in pleasure.
"Look at me, darling."
He reached his nimble fingers out to your face and trapped your chin between his thumb and forefinger.
"I said I'm sorry, and I really, really miss my girlfriend. I made you a nice breakfast, and I've let you pick the movie every night since monopoly. What more do you want?"
You moved the tray of food to the side of you and stared at him indignantly.
"I wanted my boyfriend to not be an egotistical asshole. I thought I was dating MG the vampire, not Jed the werewolf."
"I'm sorry... What can I do to make it up to you, love?"
"Let me out of that back walk favor?"
He scrunched up his face in horror. "That was part of our deal."
"Technically, you're not even supposed to be able to make outside game deals in monopoly, so you could let me out if you wanted to."
"Fine."
"Yay! Those hurt. They're so energy draining."
"Can I kiss you?"
"Yes, you can," you smiled.

Bottled Emotions
Author: xxwritemeastoryxx
Paring: Lizzie Saltzman x Male!Reader
Word count: 1499 (Ya'll don't know how hard it was to keep this under 1.5 K!)
Warnings: Teenage love drama, but that's it in this one.
Author's note: So I'm gonna kill two birds with one stone on this one. This was a part of my 1500 follower celebration drabble challenge that is completely late, but finally done. I used mostly the words from the gif and the fact that it is Lizzie. But besides that I changed everything and went with it. And I'm gonna use this one for @hellotvshowtrash #happy2021promptchallenge. I honestly felt that the prompt fit well for this one and I wasn't going to miss out on the opportunity to use it. Also! This is my first time writing for Lizzie! As well as the first time I'm putting out a male insert. So feedback would be great! Thanks!
Feedback gives me life and motivation for future things!
Broken glass littered the floor of the Kitchen. Pots and pans had been tossed about out of anger. Wooden spoons had been broken in half with the sharp ends embedded into the walls and shelves around the kitchen. Magic being used to take items from the shelves that they belonged on and sending them in different directions.
Lizzie had been holding her emotions in a tightly closed bottle until they had been shaken up, causing the lid to burst. The anger she felt had been finally released through magic. The mess that currently surrounded her had been a release. One she had desperately needed.
The pain of her childhood best friend turning his back on her. The trust she had felt towards him was shattered. The love and care she felt towards him were clouded by the anger and frustration she felt. Her heart hurt in ways she never thought she’d understand.
He had left in her time of need when he had made every promise to be there by her side. At first, he had been gone a few days and she believed he’d be back. Lizzie must have called Y/N a million times over the course of the last month. Her mindset was breaking and she needed his calming words to ease her. But he never answered. Those few days soon turned into a month.
Locator spells hadn’t worked, meaning the witch had blocked himself from being found. She refused to believe that he would just cut her off like that. Not when they had been so close. Not when he was someone she went to besides her sister.
What finally broke her was when Y/N returned to the school, he hadn’t gone in search of her. And when Lizzie’s eyes landed on him, Y/N had been with another crowd of witches. One’s that Lizzie didn’t particularly like.
It was when their eyes met, that Y/N could see the hurt in Lizzie’s eyes. And the moment it had, Lizzie took off in the direction of the kitchen, not wanting to even get answers from Y/N. She needed an outlet and she was going to get it.
When Y/N finally made his way over to the kitchen, the sounds of glass breaking and even the sounds of pots and pans clattering hadn’t phased him. Even when he stepped into view of Lizzie, he wasn’t the slightest bit surprised. If anything, guilt flooded through him.
Just as the last few items in Lizzie’s way had been tossed about the room, her eyes landed on Y/N. Her lip trembled as she watched him walk over to the counter farthest from her and placed his hands on it. She watched as his eyes took in the aftermath of her break down and not for a single moment did she feel bad about it.
“You’re-” He had begun to say.
“I already know I’m crazy, okay?” Lizzie said cutting Y/N off as she turned away from him and ran her hand through her blonde locks. “You don’t have to say anything. You ignoring me for the last month or so says it all.”
A slight frown formed on Y/N’s lips at her words. Taking a step around the counter, he could hear the crunch of glass beneath his feet. “I wasn’t going to say that you were crazy.” He said as he watched her movements. “I was going to say that you’re hurt. And I’m pretty sure it has to do with me leaving.”
“Thank you, Captain Obvious.” Lizzie moved her hand up to her cheek to wipe away the set of tears that were running down her face. “Your message was loud and clear, Y/N. You don’t want anything to do with me. So why are you here?”
“I know it seemed that way, but I’m sure you know that wasn’t the case.” He tried to explain. Y/N knew how bad this looked. He took off without telling his best friend where he was going. And when he left her messages and calls unanswered, he could already see what was going through the witch’s mind.
That was his gift, an invasive one at that. The closer Y/N had become with someone, the more he became in tune with their thoughts. While he had never purposefully used it to get into his friends minds, there were always those moments that it happened accidentally. A simple thought of his own could easily link his mind to another without them ever knowing. And the last time he had done so, it led to Lizzie revealing a lot of thoughts that he was never meant to hear.
“Then please do explain what it was.” She asked as she took a few steps closer to him. “What made you want to run as far away as you could from me that you felt the need to shut me out?”
He ran his hand along the back of his neck, trying to find the right way to tell her. To tell her that he had heard everything he wasn’t supposed to. That he left because he believed it was what she wanted in the first place. That he did it to give her the space she wanted and needed.
“You wanted me to leave.” He said after a moment. “I hadn’t meant to, but your thoughts were pretty clear that you wanted me gone from the school. From my understanding it was that you hated me enough that you’d rather deal with a golem than see my face around.”
He watched as confusion formed on her face for a moment before realization had set in. Her head hung for a moment as she tried to process her thoughts. It made sense as to why Y/N had left so suddenly. She had been angry with him and her train of thoughts went haywire in the process.
“I was angry.” She said with a shake of her head. “I didn’t expect to feel that way with you of all people and I was just-” She cut herself off trying to collect herself. Lizzie had been angry with him for plenty of reasons. But she had thought she hated him for other reasons than a stupid fight they had. “I never hated you,” She said after a moment passed. “you just make me feel things that I don’t understand. And then I saw you talking with the she-devil and I just needed a reason to hate you to stop myself from hurting.”
“And now look where that’s gotten us.” He shook his head as he kept his eyes on her. Her eyes met his at that moment and it wasn’t hard to see the hurt that was clear in each others’. “You could have just talked to me. I get that it was never something I was supposed to know. But it felt like an overheard conversation that I just couldn’t ignore. I even went to talk to you about it, but you couldn’t even look at me. So I knew it wasn’t worth it to stick around.”
“But you came back.” She noted, her words hopeful. “There must have been something that made you do that.”
He nodded his head and finally pulled his eyes away from her. “Your dad asked for a favor from my parents. I agreed to come back with them to help. Once we are done, we’re headed back home.”
The hope that Lizzie had felt moments before had diminished instantly at his words. While there was finality in his voice, she hoped that maybe she could change his mind. “Stay, even after your parents leave.”
Y/N would have instantly agreed any other time. He felt deeply for the girl that stood before him. But the hurt he felt at her thoughts had hurt him in a way that Y/N had never been hurt before, especially coming from her.
“We’re here for a month.” He began. “Maybe by then you can get those feelings of yours sorted. But I won’t be one of those guys, Lizzie.” He said watching her reactions. “There’s only so much I can take before it’s enough.”
Lizzie went to take a step closer to him, her mouth opened to say something, but he raised his hand and shook his head. He wanted her to really think about it. Not to just say what she believed he wanted to hear. And if it wasn’t for that ability of his, that’s exactly what she would have done. She was still unsure of a few things and he knew that.
"Really think about it." He said as he began taking a few steps back before turning to leave.
Lizzie stood there and watched him leave, her lips trembling knowing that if she didn’t get the mess within her head sorted, she was going to lose the only other person that had been by her side for the longest.

Birthday || Josie Saltzman
Pairing : Josie Saltzman x reader ( platonic )
Warning : None
In which : Josie finds out it’s Y/N’s birthday and Y/N hates birthdays, so they argued and it ended with Josie singing for her as an apology.
A/N : Since New Year is super close and I’m in the mood of writing, so I’m going to write a story with New Years theme. Sorry if there’s any misspelling or incorrect grammar. Hope you like it! Y/F/S = your favorite song. Credit to the GIF owner.
“Today is your birthday?!” That was the first thing she said while bursting into Y/N’s dorm room.
Y/N jumped off the bed in surprise because her bestfriend caught her off-guard. Once Y/N calmed down, she took her headset off slowly and closed her laptop. “What the hell, Saltzman!”
“Happy Birthday?” Josie whispered nervously before pursing her lips. Instead of saying thank you, you gave her a confused look. You never told anybody about your birthday, except for Mr. Saltzman and that was because he was the principal.
“Where does this come from?” You asked while walking up to your bestfriend. “How do you know about my birthday?”
“I was in my father’s office earlier and I looked up your file. I swear, I don’t have any intention to stalk you, but then I saw your birthday. It’s pretty unique that your birthday is on New Year’s Eve.” Josie rambled before laughing nervously at your expression. “Y/N, please say something. I’m really sorry. Don’t be mad.”
“I’m not mad. I’m just confused and what were you even doing at your dad’s office?” You asked with a higher tone that made Josie flinched back a little which you didn’t notice.
“I-I was searching for my dad a-and I-I got carried away. I-I’m really s-sorry.” Josie stuttered. The brunette looked down as she waited for your next move.
“Sure, just don’t tell anyone about it-”
“That might be too late, I told Lizzie and Hope and MG, but that’s all.” You scoffed at her reply.
“Unbelievable, Jo. My birthday isn’t something to celebrate. It’s a nightmare! So, will you excuse yourself? I need some space.” You snapped which got Josie flinched back again.
“Well, I’m sorry. Why is it such a big deal and why do you even have to act like this?” Josie argued. “It’s just a birthday.” she muttered the last part.
“Well, it’s not just a birthday to me, Jo! You don’t know anything about it, so just please leave me alone!”
“Okay, okay, I’ll leave.” Josie pulled her hands up in defeat as she walked towards door. She stopped right before the door and muttered ,” I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you upset, just so you know there will be a party for New Year and I hope you join us.”
“I’ll think about it.” Josie nodded before she walked out the door and closed it slowly.
You spent the rest of the day in your room because you didn’t want anyone to remind you that it was your birthday. If Josie just knew, the pain that happened on your last birthday party made you hate birthdays. A vampire killed your entire family, including you. The monstrous creature turned you to be one of their kind. That was the reason why was it so hard for you to except yourself.
Fortunately, there was Alaric, the person who saved you and made you accepted yourself for who you were. Josie was always there with you through ups and downs. You were so thankful to be apart of the Salvatore School. Although, the pain, the memory were still there and you didn’t have any intention to spit it out sooner.
The sun went down a few hours ago, you had dinner. It took everything for you to step out of your room without getting caught by anyone just to get into the kitchen and grab a blood bag. Attention was the last thing you wanted that night. Well, at least, that was what you thought until an hour before New Year.
You got bored and finally gave up, so you decided to join the party and talk to Josie. You walked out of your room and went straight to the party. The loud music and cheers could be heard from across the hall. As you got closer the sound got louder and louder until you reached the room.
You stayed in the doorway for a few seconds as it gained a few stares towards you. You got awkward, but you decided to shrug it off by walking through the sea of people, trying to find your one and only bestfriend, Josie Saltzman.
After a few walks around the room, you didn’t see any sign of her existence. You felt guilty and upset for what you did earlier. Luckily, before you thought leaving the party was an option, Josie walked up the stage and started a speech.
“Hi, I’m Josie and-.” she sighed nervously and within a second her eyes landed on you. She gave me an unsure smile as you gave her an “I’m sorry for I did earlier” smile. With that her smile got wider and you knew she was ready for whatever she was going to do next. “and since today is my best friend’s birthday, I decided to sing for her tonight.”
The crowds cheered for her as the music started. You got nervous for a while, but it lasted once Josie started singing the first lyric. Your jaw dropped. She was singing Y/F/S. The song Josie used to make fun of, but there she was singing the song fully with her heart and she even memorized the lyrics. You were speechless and just with that you forgot what happened earlier between the two of you.
Once the song stopped, the brunette thanked the crowd as the crowd cheered. Josie looked at you one more time before walking down the stage and came up to you right away.
“First of all, don’t be mad. Second of all, what I did earlier was crossing the line, I’m really sorry.” Josie pursed her lips as a sign that she was nervous.
“No, I’m sorry. I should’ve not acted like that. Things weren’t great on my last birthday party and I should’ve never vented out on you or anybody.” Josie smiled widely then pulled me into a long tight hug which I returned a few seconds after. “By the way, about the song, you changed the whole meaning of birthday. Thank you.”

All You Got (Platonic)
Requested Imagine: can i get hope mikaelson x reader where hope helps reader out of a rough time, maybe a depressive episode, B
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was the sun shining through? You had no idea. All you knew was that, according to your beeping clock, it was time to get up and go to class. You sighed, just wanting the clock to stop so that you could go back to sleep once again.
Were you pathetic? Yeah, you were. You couldn’t even get out of bed; just lying there and hoping to fall back asleep. You knew that going was a bad idea, with the way you looked and the absolute fact that you hadn’t done the homework that was due, so that would just result in more ridicule.
You felt bad for…. fuck it, you’d forgotten the name. No, that was bad, you can’t just forget a name of someone trying to help you, fucking idiot.
You closed your eyes, hoping to go back to the land of nothing. Maybe it would be kind of ironic. Or maybe it would make everyone forget, that was the truth of it though; you didn’t deserve your family. None of them.
“Hey, Hope.” Josie greeted, stopping by her friend who was sat on a table, looking at a book. It took a moment for your sister to realise who was there.
She rose her head, seeing Josie and smiled, “Hey, Josie.” She returned the greeting, but immediately went back to the book. Josie looked at her friend with a puzzled look. Looking over her shoulder, she saw that she was looking at it desperately, looking over spells.
“Studying?” The Saltzman asked.
“Already did the homework,” She held it up for her friend and sister figure to see, “This is for Y/N.” There, now the cat was out of the bag.
`Hope….” Josie was cut off by said girl.
“He – He’s having another episode.” Hope’s voice trembled a little as she spoke. She knew you had been dealing with this for a while, but you were pretty much all she had left; she couldn’t lose you, the answer had to be in here somewhere.
“Hope,” This time, Josie closed the book. Hope looked at her friend with a pissed off expression. Now, if it were any normal circumstance, she wouldn’t even dream of doing what she had just done. But it was you, her best friend that just happened to be the brother of her other best friend. You both were family, so she would do this if the tables were flipped.
“Hope, we need to get him to see Emma.” Josie hated seeing anyone in pain; friends, lovers, crushes, anyone really. You had been out of action for a while; and, while she understood Hope’s worry and sisterly concern, there was a time and place for her to take charge.
“We can’t –” Hope was now the one being cut off.
“Emma can help him, Hope –”
“I can!” Your sister stubbornly argued.
“You can, I’m not saying you can’t. What I’m saying is that there is only so much you can do without someone else stepping in. You don’t Lizzie started those sessions on her own, do you? I helped her get them. He needs them.” Josie was begging at this point for her friend to see facts.
She didn’t, however, “We’ve been through this before, Josie. I know that you guys are here too if we need it, and I am appreciative of that, really. But I know what I’m doing here, ok?” It was almost as if those words were meant to try and trick herself into believing them.
“Hope,” Said girl turned to the teacher, “I need you to talk to your brother as soon as you can, please. He’s been missing out on a lot of classes and essays.
There was rage for the woman. She, rationally, knew that the woman wouldn’t really know unless someone told her. But, still, you were going through something, and the teacher was acting as if it was nothing.
Josie, however, seemed to know that her friend, once crush, now sisterly figure was about to fight back. She put a hand on her shoulder and spoke to the teacher instead of Hope, “We will, thank you.” Her words seemed to satisfy the teacher, as she nodded and then walked away.
“He hasn’t been out of his room?” Hope asked in concern. She could’ve sworn that she had seen you in lessons. Then again, she was hardly awake herself in them, what with saving the world and your friends and all.
“Not in a few days, no. Lizzie and I have been bringing him so food. But…we don’t know if he’s eaten it. It’s gone when we come back, so something with it happens.” Josie said, although in a slow pace, trying to gage the reaction of her friend.
“God. Ok, I’ll go see him –”
“Hope, no! He needs more than that, he needs someone like Emma.”
“Yeah? Look how well that went for me, huh? Miss Nihilism was my name whenever I spoke to her.”
“She didn’t give you that though –”
“Yeah, but she said I always came in with that attitude. I’m not subjecting Y/N to that too. Not when he’s going through this.” Josie went to say something but stopped herself. She knew that this would just end up going in circles, and your recovery was what mattered; even if the pair disagreed on how to make that happen.
“Is the door locked?” Hope questioned.
“I think so, but you both have spares remember?”
“I know. Look, Josie, I appreciate this, but I will make sure Y/N is fine, ok? I promise you.” And, with that, your older sister left to find you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Josie was Hope’s best friend, and with that came a deep level of trust. Both sides knew that the other had their back no matter what and their best interests at heart. But that came with some crossed lines and some things that the other would be mad about.
This was one of those things.
Josie knocked lightly on the door of her father’s office, waiting until she heard the welcoming words before she entered.
“Josie, what’s going on?” The father asked with a smile. However, upon her dejected and uneasy look, the smile dropped, “What’s going on?” He asked.
“Y/N, it’s me.” Hope didn’t get any response. She knocked again, getting the exact same response. She went to do it again, before she remembered the spare key. She pulled it out of her pocket, looking at the door one more time.
She then put the key into the door and turned it until she heard the click and the bump of the door unlocking. The door then unlocked.
Opening the door, she was met with darkness, other than the very small amount of light from the window. She moved her hand to the light switch, turning it slightly so there was a bit of light, but not a blinding amount.
That was an adjustment to your room that Lizzie had asked for, which she knew that you both appreciated. As much as she could snap at you guys, you were her friends. With the way Alaric treated you both and all you had gone through as a group; you were basically family.
Hope was silent in her entry of the room; she saw your figure still in bed. Your room was a mess, but that was understandable.
She was silent as she picked up one of your fallen trousers, folding them up and then putting them back in the correct draw. She was silent as she picked up a shirt and shook to try and get rid of some of the creases, before hanging it up in the wardrobe.
She put your shoes back against the wall and continued folding the clothes and putting them away. The whole time you didn’t react, you didn’t talk. However, it didn’t matter to her, she knew how to help you. She knew that talking would help but trying to force it with pointless questions would do no good.
She cleaned the table, just a simple wet cloth did the job. She knew that spells wouldn’t fix you, so this wouldn’t either.
Plus, the physical effort would help her get tired out and help her when she joined you in the bed. It was a tactic she used to use; share a bed and put a protective arm around you to keep you safe and show you her support.
She wiped it clean, before filling up a glass for you and placing it on the table.
Then she rose the covers and laid in bed next to you; you faced the wall; she faced the ceiling. She smiled a small amount at the scorch mark that still remained, “I remember that. When you were trying to control fireballs, as you called them. You remember that?” Her voice was light and soft, airy even.
It as one she didn’t use a lot, most of the time there was some kind of sarcastic wit or even malice to it. She only reserved this tone for those she really cared about. You, as her brother, her younger brother, you were on the top of that list.
Plus, she knew one thing from Emma, raising your voice was not a great idea when trying to help.
“Hm.” Was your response. It wasn’t much; it wasn’t anything, but you were slightly engaging rather than not at all. That was something.
“I’ve…. I’ve got the homework for the class done; I can help you with it if you want?” She offered, trying to find something to show her support without going down the bad choices; namely the why and the I know what you’re going through.
“Like everything else in my fucking life?” You were still monotone, but the words had some spite to them.
“What do you mean?” She asked, thinking that this would be a time to vent.
“Ever since Klaus came home with me, covered in my blood parents’…. well, you can guess, you said that you wanted to help and protect me. Anytime I needed homework done, there you were. Anytime I got picked on, you kicked their ass.”
“You don’t think I should’ve, I’m always going to look out for you, little brother.” She had meant the words; they had come out passionately and on instinct.
“It’s not about whether you should it or not, it’s about whether I deserve the help.”
“I just…I didn’t know who else to turn to.” Josie had been venting, worried sick about if this was even the correct decision to make. She knew, that maybe in the long run it would be a net positive, but would the negatives of right now be too much?
“Josie, honey,” She looked to her father, whose face had softened at her anxious face, “You’re one of the most caring people I know. And, I’m not just saying that as your father. You’re proving it by being here and talking to me about this –”
“But what if Hope is –”
“Hope might have a reaction at first, but she’ll always do what’s right for Y/N. Just as any of us would and will.” Alaric assured his daughter.
She had raised her voice once during the words exchanged, it had become a bit heated on her end; she wouldn’t take anyone speaking ill of her family, but hearing you say it about yourself made it worse for her.
“How about we go eat? Or take a walk. We don’t even have to be gone for that long?” She asked, moving off the bed and crouching down to your level. The two of you finally met eyes, she is seeing the dull look in your own gaze.
She held out her hand, keeping her eyes locked with you and hoping that the love and concern she had for you were being communicated through both the dark and her own gaze.
Slowly, your hand went into her own one. She pulled the covers back, slowly helping you up and holding it the whole time as she went to the door.
Opening it, she felt your hand tighten the grip on her own one. She gave it a gentle squeeze back, opening the door at a slower pace, when it fully opened, she led you out.
She had you out, that was something, it was a small amount of progress. She would make good on her promise for only being out for a moment.
“Hope,” You both turned to Josie, whose gaze lost a bit of the conviction in them when she saw you out and about, “Hey, Y/N.” She greeted in a softer tone of voice; you gave a very week smile.
She then turned back to Hope, “I told my dad, he’s making arrangements for –”
“You WHAT?!” She squeezed your hand as a silent apology, “No one else has to know, Josie –”
“They already do know! Everyone does, it’s not a secret of what Y/N is going through. It’s not some curse, Hope. It is an illness, and we just want to help –”
“And I am, like I told you. I’m sorry, Josie, but I’ve got him.” Hope assured, pushing past her friend and bringing you with her. However, she then paused and turned back, “But, I’ll call you if I need you.”
When she turned back, two questions rang in her mind: Did she really have you? And: was she the only one who could help you?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She didn’t release the hold on your hand, in fact, she had tightened it a bit as that very question still spun around her head. She was scared of the answer, of the answer that may be a possibility.
The answer of “no”.
Entering the kitchen, she saw that the close was clear. This, for once, was going well. She pulled you in, pulling you out a chair and sitting you in it, “I’m gonna make us a sandwich and get you a drink, I’ll be right back.” She assured you, before going to do just that.
As she got the plates, she looked back at you. You hadn’t moved, you hadn’t spoken, you looked entirely defeated; you looked sad; you looked like you were done; you looked like you were holding in a lot of pain and not letting it allowed to be seen.
It hurt her, it did, truly. You were her brother, and she as an older sister had always been protective of you, always had been and probably always would be. That was the truth.
However, now it seemed to be a more tragic then loving truth.
“What did she say?” Lizzie had now joined the discussion, sitting on her father’s desk as the man himself sat in his chair. Josie entered, almost a bit blindsided by the bluntness of the question; the again, it was Lizzie. And this was a Lizzie that was scared for a friend, so Josie knew the questions would only get blunter the more she delayed the answers.
“She said she appreciated it, but still took him to the kitchen. She’s trying.” She said, seemingly defending her friend while also berating her for not fully taking the advice on board.
“Look, Jo,” Lizzie said, approaching her sister and grasping her arms gently, “I get that you want what’s best for the two. I get wanting to help out Y/N before he falls to the dark side and takes Hope with him,” Ok, she did regret the way she phrased, she even stopped and closed her eyes with a sigh, “What I meant, is I don’t want Y/N to spiral and for this to have a knock on effect on Hope.”
“Honey, we understand what you mean,” Alaric said, assuring his other daughter, “We all want what’s best for Y/N. Hope does too, shes just…. protective.”
“She’s stupid, Y/N needs to see someone, just like I have to. It’s not the best, speaking your darkest thoughts to a stranger, sure. But it’s better than our minds fully ruining us. It’s got us screwed up –”
“You aren’t screwed up, sweetheart.” The father was slightly hurt by the words coming from his daughter about both herself and you.
“We are dad. But…. we’re trying. I just don’t think Hope fully knows how hard we are trying.”
Hope put the plate in front of you, leaning on the other side of the counter, watching you intently as you, “Just a bit of it will do. You need to eat something.” She said, trying to hide the slight quiver in her voice.
You looked at it again, before looking at her, you seemed to do a slight eye roll (not putting in the effort for the whole thing) but it got the point across. You picked it up, taking a small bit, before swallowing it.
She smiled timidly; it was something. It was better than you either skipping out on those meals Josie and Lizzie had left or eating too much.
“You know Josie and Lizzie left stuff?” She asked you, trying to start a kind of dialogue with you. To be honest, it was something she had missed with you, the way you both could seem to just talk for hours about the absolute square root of jack shit.
You nodded, taking yet another bite out of your sandwich, “You know when you threw yourself into the pit, I thought I was the only weirdo here, right?”
The words were sharp, and they did sting, “I thought, “Shit, I’m the heir to the Mikaelson throne, and I’m sat here being a fucking bitch.” And then you showed back up, my sister who was apparently the actual blood daughter of my – our, parents. I mean, shit, how could I ever top that, huh? The blood daughter of Klaus Mikaelson,” You gave a sarcastic clap, “Hero to us all, saviour of us all. How in the ever-living fuck, could I ever amount to that legacy?”
You got up, leaving the sandwich, and storming over to your sister, “You know what? I am done. You want the burden off your shoulders? Consider it removed. I’m done with the fucking looks; I’m done with the pity glances whenever we’re going anywhere together. I am done and I am tired of you constantly chasing my useless ass around and pretending to give half a shit. I’m done.” You spat, storming past her, but she heard the sob that left you as you went.
She couldn’t fight the tears anymore, her sob was silent, but the tears still ran down her face as she put a hand to her mouth to try and contain it all. She slowly slipped down to a sitting position on the floor, back pressed against the table as she silently cried. She had lost you; you were probably going to revoke your own name and leave and never be heard from again. You were –
“Hey,” She turned to see Josie. The girl sat next to her, “Y/N’s talking to my dad and Lizzie, he’s wanting to leave,” Josie knew that these words wouldn’t help, but she knew that Hope would still want an update.
“I just wanted to help him,” The -now maybe- single Mikaelson sobbed. Josie put her arms around the girl and hugged her, Hope putting her arms on the girl’s arm, “I just thought – maybe I could help him through this like I have before.” She hiccupped a few times but got the words out.
“Lizzie’s talking to him, I came here to check on you…. I think you both need someone to talk to. Not just a friend, but I think you both need Emma –” Hope was quick to interrupt.
“I’m not talking to her again, not after how I snapped at her last time. Y/N wouldn’t fair good there either.”
“You know she didn’t take it personally, right? Yes, it’s her job to listen, but she also cares, Hope.”
“…. I know. I just don’t want Y/N to think I’m not trying to help him.” Hope admitted, a rare moment of full on vulnerability.
“He knows you do, Hope. He knows, and he appreciates it so much. It’s just –”
“There’s a time for me or you guys to help, and a time for someone with more knowledge to help?” Hope filled in for her friend.
“Exactly. Do you wanna see him?” Josie asked tentatively.
Hope thought about it, before she nodded.

She took a breath, one that was admittedly shaky. She felt a hand grasp hers, turning, she saw that it was Josie.
Josie gave her friend a supportive smile, a silent, “you’ve got this”.
Armed with that bit of wisdom, she opened the door. Any conversation in the room that was going on had stopped as the three in the room had stopped and looked at the newcomers. Hope’s eyes had met yours, and she saw the red rims that indicated the tears, but you looked to be a bit more stable now.
There was silence for a moment, with Lizzie looking between you both. With the way she was sat, on the desk with her whole body facing you, it was clear you two had had a talk. She was glad, glad that you had opened up to someone.
“I think we could both use a talk with Emma.” Hope knew when to be laxer, then when to be firmer and blunter with you; this was one of those times.
You seemed to soak the words in, before nodding, “Maybe we do.”
So, that was how you and Hope and ended up with scheduled sessions with Emma. One at a time, of course. As you both were aware about how the other would be with how dark some of the thoughts would go.
You stared at the door, knowing that you were a few minutes late, you raised a hand to the door, knuckles hitting the wood three times to announce your presence.
“Come in, Y/N.” The voice of Emma told you, a voice that held no malice.
You opened the door, seeing her bright and welcoming smile when you got into the room enough, “Hi, sorry for – uh, for being late.” You said, dropping eye contact and looking to the floor instead as you gave a smile, but it wasn’t a happy one.
“It’s alright, Y/N. You’ve made it, that’s what matters in the end.” She assured you in a soft tone. You just nodded; it didn’t exactly alleviate you of your guilt.
Still, you sat in the chair, looking at her with an anxious smile, “So, how have you been doing?” She asked you.
“I…. not really that much better.” You were honest, you had to be. You felt like you could be around her.
“Ok, do you mind telling me, why?”
“Just…. I snapped at Hope the other day about giving up my last name, about a legacy that I have. And I know she has it too, but –”
“It’s a weight on your shoulders as well, Y/N. From your perspective, she had just appeared in your life. Granted, you do now remember, but you didn’t before. It’s disorienting –”
“It’s hell. To know I had a sister out there this whole time. I remember my parents, I remembered how they died. And….it wasn’t for me; it was for Hope.”
“It was for the both of you. Hope may have been the one with the Hollow, but you were their son, just as much as Hope was their daughter. Parents, good parents, care for both of their kin. And, from what I know, they did for you both. Hope has a feeling that she needs to look after you, being the closest Mikaelson to you now, but you feel that too –”
“We’re all we have.”
“But you aren’t alone. You have us, Y/N.”
Those meetings would go on, with you and Hope meeting up after and meeting your friends. It wasn’t an ending, but progress.
That was something.
