Am I allowed to identify as AroAce, but not as LGBTQIA+??? I just, don’t feel like a part of it. I’ve been thinking for ages that I might want to be unlabeled, because I don’t feel LGBTQIA+, but I love the AroAce label too much to let it go.

Living with the decision to never watch a live-action film is the greatest. I am consistently struck with the awe and wonder of animation film, and honestly, I feel like I’m not missing anything, like even if the plot is bad, I know the animation got me.

Why did I make this choice? No idea. But also, no regrets.

When people call any international film with good visuals ___ Ghibli, I get a little mad

Let movies exist without comparison. I adore Ghibli, but they cannot hold a monopoly on good art. There’s no reason why people compare the two except that the art is good. Not similar. Good.

If you want to use Ghibli as a standing point, say ‘oh if you like Ghibli, you might like this’ instead of saying ‘this is Ghibli, but different.’

There’s a difference between calling a studio that focuses on nature and connections similar to Ghibli, and just calling something like Cartoon Saloon ‘Irish Ghibli’. Can’t it just be itself?
