To all of our community members, Due to COVID-19, Catalyst: A Sex Positive Place will be closed for all public parties until April 1st, 2019. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Thanks to the outpouring of support for our space from you (verbally, financially, through time and effort) we feel we can survive this closure, but we are an establishment that focuses on multiple facets ofsex-positive community, which leads to intimate gatherings. Because of this, we don't have a ton of financial cushion. We are asking for support during this closure through the purchases of memberships on our website or through private rental usage. Our memberships are $65 for 6 months, $100 for 1 year, and $450 for a lifetime membership (which gives you 1 free private rental a quarter and free entry to all Catalyst events). Yesterday, staff and volunteers implemented a thorough deep clean of the space, sanitizing the dungeon and sterilizing the spaces people would come into direct contact by steam cleaning furniture items. All pillows were sterilized, none were to be used. With additional implementations of gloves being used at the front desk, sanitizing stations, and cleaning throughout the event, we've taken further steps to improve and make the space safer while we are open. All things considered, we don't want to spread COVID-19 at Catalyst, but we can't afford to cancel all of our events. We are considering closing, but cannot afford it unless we have help from our community. Please help us remain in business while we need to close our doors.
