We saw this buffalo the night before.... sickly & stumbling. We all knew his fate would find him that night...and we were right. In the morning we came upon this site after some amazing tracking ears. Steam was still coming from the buffalo's belly. A little gruesome, I know...but it is an up-close & personal perspective of how the cycle of death & life are inexorably tied... and merciful. A half dozen hyena cubs in the pack seemed to eat first...An amazing, rare & intimate sight. We are grateful & reverent. Glamping safari at its best. You never feel you're in "just a tent", yet that's what you're in. The whole place could be picked up in a matter of hours leaving little trace. This place is awesome. No barriers, animals running around - even a leopard sleeping under the tree next to my tent. Here, there are reasons for rules...no going outside to wander about on your own at night 😉 .. I wouldn't have it any other way.. I love being amongst the animals in THEIR home. Amazing food, accommodations, staff & experiences.
