Twitch and Kick at war due to harassment cases at TwitchCon. The controversy between streamers keeps growing

This year’s TwitchCon has ended with an attempted homicide and multiple public reports of harassment.

TwitchCon Oh my, things are getting wild after the latest edition of TwitchCon. Just a few days ago, we reported about the streamer who tried to push another onto a moving train, and now multiple public accusations of harassment by streamers have surfaced, claiming they were harassed by colleagues from Kick. Big names have spoken out, and a heated clash of opinions has started, spreading chaos. Let’s break it down.

Twitch and Kick at odds The alarm was first raised when a Kick streamer tried to push another streamer onto a moving train due to a dispute the victim had with one of the aggressor’s friends. According to the victim, a group came up to harass him, and eventually, he was pushed. But then another incident, which initially went unnoticed, started gaining attention in the following days: a Kick streamer was reportedly harassing other streamers.

Among the victims were Nmplol and Wake Wilder, who were seen in a livestream being harassed by the individual. In the clip, as they were working, the person approached them and made unwanted physical contact in a disturbing way. Although the streamers downplayed it at the time and tried to respond casually, days later, one of them spoke out firmly against Twitch for not addressing the situation. “You know what’s funny? They (Twitch) didn’t even message me about that guy licking me,” Nmplol stated.

But that’s not all. Another major figure affected was xQc, controversial in recent times due to his remarks about Rivers winning the Streamer of the Year award, but who had to flee from the individual after he started making strange and uncomfortable comments during his broadcast. xQc has since spoken out, demanding severe consequences for the harassers. “We need real, substantial repercussions. A ban will never make something work,” he said.

Is that all? Nope, there’s more. Streamers like Tectone have been outspoken, revealing more cases of harassment. “They’re harassing innocent people for no reason. The fact that Extra Emily had to run away from a Kick streamer because she felt unsafe is insane. Not once, but twice,” he said. Adding to the drama, there’s also the accusation that Ice Poseidon allegedly paid these personalities to harass Twitch streamers, to which he responded: “Dear LiveStreamFail community, I did not pay anyone to harass Twitch streamers. I paid for 50 subs for people to troll Sam Bond because he’s annoying, and to recommend Moises to OTK as Waterboy.” His response, though, is still quite concerning.

xQc And if all of this weren’t enough, with attempted homicide included, Erobb ended up getting into a fistfight with a Kick streamer who accused him of cheating on his girlfriend. Ludwig has also been very clear, openly criticizing Kick. “I think there’s poison in the well, there’s something in their water. They need to fix it if they want to be a legitimate platform,” he stated.

Finally, the alleged harasser has also spoken out, claiming that he is not Kick and that the platform should not be blamed. In fact, Kick has banned him from using its service, though it remains unclear if any of the victims will take legal action.
