there’s really so much to analyze in revstar it’s kinda insane and sometimes it’s soo overwhelming but I adore a lot the theme of characters like rui and liu mei fan that while trying really hard to emulate the ppl they look up to the most that it’s easy for them to forget their own capabilities and enhancing their own individual performances in way that’s unique to exclusively them. The whole "I can no longer remain a fan." just truly speaks both of their characters respectively considering being a stage girl requires them to be on stage and shedding blood, sweat, and tears and give everything to get to their goal which as nice as it sounds to admire costars they’re actively competing against each other and making sure their brillance shines the brightest in the process
