According to Anglican catechism, Christ got His humanity from Mary. This could mean genetic code, in which case He was born either female or intersex, but in either case had XX Chromosomes or (due to God's will = random chance) intersex chromosomes (such as trisomy X), due to the nature of parthenogenesis.
It is a known phenomenon for intersex people to have no Y chromosome and have a male phenotype. Therefore it is indeterminate whether being a man was His choice (the transgender option), or God's will = random chance. Or, He was nonbinary but male-presenting, misinterpreted by the zeitgeist as binary male.
What then, does it mean, to be in the image of God?

I was tagged by Eloise @marimobath to post 6 albums i've been listening to :) ty!!
(background img featuring deepest fish ever filmed)
notes: two of these are actually EPs! four of these are black metal! but they've all got something a little funky going on.
Agriculture are an LA band that call themselves "ecstatic black metal". Recommended for fans of the transcendental black metal project Liturgy. This EP is beautiful and intense and fills me with joy, I cannot wait for their debut album.
Old Nick makes black metal that is extremely camp and silly, but masterfully executed. If you like to brood mysteriously but also goof around rambunctiously, this is the album for you. Makes me feel like a court jester.
Another black metal album, I loved Lamp of Murmuur's previous album which was more gothic with post punk influences, this new one is raw and aggressive but still has a lot of atmosphere. They just keep getting better.
I'm not as familiar with thrash metal but I really like this Power Trip album. It rules. The intro of "Waiting Around To Die" reminds me a little of the Jaws theme. (shrug)
More fun black metal from Devil Master, track 8 "Funerary Gyre of Dreams & Madness" makes me think of surf rock.
A friend showed me GingerBee and I was immediately hooked. This EP can be described as a lot of things - 5th wave Emo, Screamo, (Hyper)Skramz, there's some Chiptune - just give it a listen. Makes me feel nostalgic and happy ^_^
i'm tagging @iguaners @ratgxrl-extraordinaire @bornacle @mikkouille @ikuharaisabitch @choccymilky @eggomccool @strayanima @gavinstrick @hourglassstorms @bigfrogs @effelte @chainsawyou and anyone else who wants to post some albums for me to look at !! 💜 ps it does NOT have to be this detailed lol i just had a lot of fun making this post ok bye

Humans are dyophysitist creatures
DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE NEANDERTHAL CHILD WITH DOWN'S SYNDROME? Because they're all I've been thinking about when I'm sad for the past few days. Their existence makes me less sad.

vespers
Rehearsal is wrapped for the day, and Papa is already gone to prepare for the evening service. Most of the ghouls shuffle out of the hall to follow him, the ones that have already attended services earlier in the day peel off to help the Sisters prepare the dining hall.
Phantom hates Vespers, although since he's been summoned it's been hard not to hate everything. It's been a difficult adjustment to life on the surface. He feels out of sync on the best of days, a waste of space on the worst.
Early on, Papa had placed him under the care of Dew and Rain, and that was where Phantom found himself most often: sandwiched between the pair while they spoke to each other over him. Even in the pews of the chapel, he had to strain to follow Papa's voice over the whispers back and forth.
(Someone once told Phantom that Dew was one of the more devout ghouls in the abbey, and everyday he wonders if they were fucking with him.)
Vespers passes more slowly than usual, and Phantom can feel himself falling asleep. Other quintessence ghouls in the abbey are permitted to follow their nocturnal instincts, but as a member of the Ghost Project, he's required to stay awake during the day with the rest of the ghouls. It just results in him not sleeping, except for the naps he can steal if he manages to finish his tasks for the ministry early.
Papa finishes the service and dismisses the assembly to dinner, where no doubt he'll be asked to lead another long-winded prayer of thanksgiving. Phantom waits back while the chapel empties and then walks himself in the opposite direction of the crowd. He doesn't care if his stomach is growling. If he's going to keep up with performing, he needs to crash before his second wind forces him up for the night. He makes it back to his room, and before he can even take his boots off, he's asleep on top of the covers.
Hours later and it's dark out. There's laughter from the common room. Phantom stretches and notices that someone has draped a blanket over him. They've taken his boots off and placed them in front of his wardrobe. There's a plate of food on the nightstand, and a reminder that he's welcome the join the rest of them whenever he's up to it.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence started when three friends banded together to dress as nuns and recite a loving and forgiving liturgy to drive homophobic evangelists off of Castro Street in San Francisco. It worked. The organization quickly expanded as an advocacy group for gay rights.
When asked why they are dressed as nuns, the answer was, "We do all that traditional nuns have done for centuries. Our look might be unique, but our ministry is common. We serve our community. We have raised lots of money for AIDS and other social causes. We visit the sick, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and sometimes disrobe the clothed! We are 21st Century queer nuns."
The Sisters primarily made a name for themselves through their AIDS activism. In 1982, The Sisters published Play Fair! which was the first humorous and easy-to-understand sexual health and safety pamphlet specifically intended for gay men.
The Sisters also used their presence to shame homophobic public figures, performing "exorcisms" on Phyllis Schlaffey, Jerry Fallwell, and Pope John Paul II, as well as on the steps of the U.S. House of Representatives.
In 2023, The Los Angeles Dodgers caused a huge controversy by selecting the Sisters to receive a "community hero award" on their Pride Night game (again, the Sisters are a legendary charity group that has literally saved lives), but then they gave in to right-wing pressure and cancelled it. Eventually, they realized how badly they had fucked up and re-invited the Sisters to their game.
The sisters remain active today with many chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Membership is open to all genders and sexualities.
