The characters in Meyer’s work Don’t exactly have much detail in their designs, which for a younger audience. However, they have somewhat realistic body proportion. In that the characters do look relatively close to people, even when they’re anthropomorphised.

For example of the latter part of the previous statement, the image above shows a family of rabbits on Christmas Day. The clothing are very simple and matches what you would think of what a family would be wearing at this time of year. A neat detail with the rabbit father’s slippers have little people in the same way slippers have little bunnies on them.

The image above that presents a big purple haired monster telling a little girl a bedtime story. For an example of how Meyer simplifies her characters while still keeping them recognizable, look at the monster. It’s clear to see that it’s meant to be hairy, akin to something like Sully from Monsters INC or more closely to McDonalds’ Grimace. There isn’t any sign of any kind of typical indications of hair seen in different styles (Lines to show individual hairs, lines sticking away from the shape to show wild or misshapen hair, etc.). Instead, the fur on the monster is indicated by bumps around the arms, legs, torso and head as a simple way to show that the monster is puffy, for lack of a better word.
