Hi, I was wondering if you have Rohan, Levi and Mason’s assets? <3

i don't have their original season 1 assets unfortunately, but i'm sure someone was able to rip them before the original game server was taken down if you want to ask around.

the matchmaker assets are the only ones i have access to, and like i said before i haven't gotten round to sorting all of them yet because i basically have to assemble the sprites from scratch thanks to the stupid animations they used. if any fellow data miners have any tips to make this easier it would be greatly appreciated lmao

i haven't started mason yet but i'm nearly finished with levi's so i'll try post his at some point for you! in the meantime, here's my sweet boy rohan 💖

if fusebox imports seasons 1-3 onto the new app do you think they will use the original sprites or use the matchmaker counterparts? i know a lot of people hate the s1 redesigns but i actually didn't mind them much (or at least when they were idle). also iirc there were a lot of changes in the s1 script for matchmaker (tim, rohan, cherry and allegra being romanceable but no sammi even tho she's in the game files???) so i'm curious what script they'll go with

Honestly I have no idea. I like some of the matchmaker sprites (JASPER! LEVI!) but some of the others just look odd. Jake is a little too smooth if you get what I mean? idk. He looks a little more baby-faced than I picture him.

@longbobmckenzie tried pulling out the Matchmaker scripts and I couldn't believe how much was glossed over. There are dozens and dozens of scenes missing from the original, and most of it is the magic that mae S2 what it was-- the side chats. The little conversations about favourite barn animals or guys who won't take no for an answer? I don't remember specifically but it was about 1/4 of the length of the actual episodes.

So realistically I don't mind which sprites they use as long as the scripts are the same as the original.

i haven't gotten around to compiling all of the matchmaker assets yet as they used the same mechanic as season 4 meaning that all of the sprites are completely broken up. it's extremely tedious but so far i've finished cherry, jen, rohan, and sammi (and blake). anyway, here's cherry's assets!

I will never ever forgive fusebox for taking away season 1-3. Yeah sure it's on matchmaker but its not the same, it's very different from what it used to be. Matchmaker with the art style and the puzzles killed the fun tbh.

I did a discussion on reddit and about 90% of the fandom is in love with season 2. All of the characters became comfort characters in some or the other way

Yes I did! It feels like such a long time ago now...

I didn't create the OG Allegra and Levi, although I wrote them in the Matchmaker versions, but I love them and have had an amazing time working with and being friends with the people who did <3

It's a real shame that the original versions of the games are gone and I have mixed feelings about how everything happened, but I genuinely treasure the memories I have of the good times and the friendships I have from it. I'm very proud of what we made, and even more so of what I learned from the experience.

Ok yall finally talked me into it and I downloaded Too Hot To Handle the game... and I love it. I'll echo what everyone's saying that it feels like what I loved about season 2 LITG is all here.

Here's some other live blog thoughts about how good it is lmao

The animation is leagues ahead of what LITG tried to do for matchmaker/s4. It's smooth, it's not static characters uncomfortably blinking and breathing at you. There are really smoothly animated cutscenes, but generally the characters are static with expressions changing similar to LITG s1 and s2

I didnt think I was going to like the artstyle- it's realistic similar to Choices or Episode LimeLight- but all the characters look really good and the backgrounds are what you'd expect. It's not an iconic artstyle like LITG, but it gets you attracted to/invested in the characters.

The customization is insane. You can be man/woman/nonbinary, and choose from thin curvy or muscular for both genders. Unfortunately there isn't a fat option or a visibly transmasc option, but that's a pipedream lol. There's SO many different skin tones and just as many hairstyle options for textured hair as there are for straight/thin hair. You can have your physically male body wearing a bikini, there's tons of tattoo locations and styles to choose from, the jewelry isn't locked to female styles, and all the outfits look good on all the body shapes.

I really like that they have you choose from preset faces instead of customizing each feature individually. Your character ends up looking more cohesive than LITGs uncanny MC, and I'm sure it's easier for the artists and programmers to change MC's expression. There are like 10 face options for both genders, and they prioritized racial inclusiveness so you'll definitely find one that works for your character.

The LIs are hot. My biggest complaint with S3 onwards was that LITG just gave the boys way too many muscles and lost touch with proportion. THTH's characters look like real people. Not to mention there's. LI with vitiligo (Sarah you're so hot plz marry me) and an nonbinary LI (Alex you're also so hot please marry me, it'll be much healthier than Sarah and I's relationship)

There's no clunky opting in to be attracted to the same sex, you decide on a LI by LI basis if you're interested then their attraction to you is based on an accumulating meter of your interactions. That seems WAY more inclusive than the way LITG ever did it.

At the end of every chapter you get to see the percentages of how you chose versus how the rest of the players chose and I'm OBSESSED with that. It feeds my individuality complex for sure because the rest of the player base doesn't have good taste 💅

hey i was wondering if you could make a guide on how to get with allegra in matchmaker??

you know, i have never got around playing matchmaker after i lost several brain cells on my first attempt. it was just so many mini games i couldn't really force myself to try it again. i did though, research this and found someone that posted this on reddit.

here’s the guide (which also goes for cherry)

“I’ve been asked this a few times so I thought I’d make a post!

To get any of the female love interests, you must romance Talia. You can do this by saying you slept with someone of the same sex at Never Have I ever which is right at the start and then continuing to flirt when you meet her in the bathroom, talk to her on the roof terrace, talk to her at the pool etc. You cannot take any one star options or it locks her out as an LI and you need to tell her you want to couple up at least once (you can do it twice) I’m pretty sure. If you do not get a scene brushing your teeth and Talia comes in - then a scene just after where Talia comes over to your bed following the boys’ choice recoupling - you have done something wrong. From this point on, you will be locked out of Talia’s route - and therefore all female love interest routes - so you should restart.

If you succeed in getting these scenes, you will have unlocked either Allegra or Cherry’s route. To get Allegra, you just need to have an okay relationship with her, don’t blame her for Cherrygate and don’t have a high relationship with Cherry. To get Cherry, you need to have a good relationship with her (two star options at least I think), blame Allegra for Cherrygate and have a bad relationship with Allegra in general.

Whoever you unlock, she will visit you in the kitchen around scene 180 and she will start acting weird before she confesses to liking you - she will backtrack no matter what so don’t worry when it happens, you’re still on her route. It should be okay to take 2 star options here (I took two 3 star options and one 2 star option) but do not take any one star options here. Then just carry on flirting with her: I haven’t finished it yet but I will keep you all updated. Have fun guys 🥰🥳”
