I don't understand why a few people are seriously romanticizing Liam's character and his actions. He is a narcissist and a misogynistic. He uses women to get what he wants. He is persistently negging the girls. He attempts to pit the girls against each other. He gets off on diminishing the self-confidence of the female characters. The guy is toxic and not in a fun way. He has no redeeming qualities. Can we agree as a fandom that we shouldn't glorify emotionally abusive behaviors that get women hurt in the real world? Writing an essay on why being abusive to women is spicy is a choice. I know what it is like to live with a guy like Liam. Women in toxic relationships are not one part of a sassy power couple. Men like Liam squeeze the life out of you until you no longer have the strength to breathe. I don't like that Hamish is being compared to someone as off-putting as Liam. Hamish was all over Grace but he never threatened MC not to say his name. He was over the top but he never tried to bring MC down. They are nothing alike

although I can see why you feel this way and I totally understand where you're coming from because some people might feel triggered by things he did I also am a firm believer that people can enjoy morally ambiguous or fully-on bad characters in any type of media.

you have a bunch of good love interests that would never speak ill on MC or do anything bad to her for you to pick. some of us like our man pathetic or evil. I don't think it's right to judge whoever picked Liam or Hamish or Suresh or Gabi or Allegra and so on.

liking complex and evil characters doesn't make you a bad person, you're just having fun in a silly little game.

my tip would be just don't play his route. leave it for the ones who actually like him. however, I don't think being mad that fusebox finally tried a different route after YEARS is the solution here.
