@disrea Answering in a reblog bc this mentality makes me fucking sick to my stomach. Literally people of color have been fighting to make fanart of their favorite characters for more representation for too long for you to say bs like this. Go research it before you make an even bigger fool of yourself and harass more people.

But yeah, lets say this is a superman situation and not the sad sad reality of the fact that most fandoms and spaces refuse to accept anything other than the one or two allotted people of color in their media. Lets say its just a matter of Clark Kent and not the ever present hatred and push back against anyone not fitting the right fucking nationality or appearance. Lets erase the lifetimes of systematic eradication of our cultures and families and lands to the point where the only time we were written in media we became an accessory of mysticism in a white mans story and say its just about two silly little characters.

What importance does Clark being white hold? What does it bring to the table in terms of themes or plot? Why does the color of his skin matter when at the end of the day hes meant to protect and love and care for all people on earth to the point where his catchphrase is now "Truth, Justice, and The HUMAN WAY"? Why does he speak every language and believe himself to be a citizen of earth, not America?

AND not to mention, it makes more sense for him to be native if you think about it in the smallville universe. (which is where I was intending with this pic) The Kawatche are deeply integral to clarks story for the longest time. They are deeply tied to krypton and the laws of power there. They are tied by magic and blood (Jeremiah Holdsclaw) and ultimately are the biggest source of connection he has to his home planet.

SO yah to summarize, who the fuck cares if clark isnt white? who actually gives a shit about what color his skin is? Racist, idiotic people who cant actually comprehend not having the media tailored to always fit colonizing pigment standards.
