short answer: first thing i did when i woke up this morning was check to see if he was included in the initial batch of spoilers so i could have a higher quality jpeg to stare lovingly at

longer answer: i dont play modern, so wrt its playability ive just been #ListeningAndLearning from actual modern players. the first thing that jumps out to me is that his color identity is UR for edh purposes, but in every other format hes blueless goblin electromancer. i like that he has the additional upsides of 1) eating ragavan (i play brawl, sue me (super excited that hes gonna be on arena!)) and similar T1&2 threats, 2) it being optional to cash it in immediately after winning a coin flip OR seeing how far you can casino this bad boy, and 3) having electrolyze and minds desire on the backside. i also consider the fact that he can oopsies kill you to be an upside from a flavor perspective

ALSO! look at his borderless art! i cant really articulate why this makes me so happy but hes sooo different looking from his adult self, yet hes always been the same little shit he is now personality-wise!

(also also, thats just pure mana in his eyes on the back, pindado didnt give him blue eyes, thank god. hard to tell what they are on the front side, but while i really like his ectoplasm green eyes from dragons maze, id take brown over blue any day)
