Fellow Sherlock and Co fans, I have crazy theory based on what we learned from the latest episode (SPOILERS for Shoscombe Old Place Pt. 2!!)

So three things I loved about the episode:

1. John views Baker Street as home to him more than his actual hometown (just a sweet thing that made my heart gush🥰)

2. Sherlock went on a tangent about how all bodies of water meet their ends, whether it’s a sea, a lake, or a WATERFALL!

3. Professor James Moriarty was canonically mentioned in the show right after the waterfall reference!

BUT, the key thing I’m piecing together is that he is a professor as in someone who would work at a COLLEGE, and I remember that it was mentioned in Gloria Scott that Sherlock exposed a principal at his college for a huge scandal he committed; really important to know that this guy’s life was DESTROYED because of Sherlock’s detective skills.

This may be a huge stretch, but this is what my brain pieced together:

1. The principal’s life was ruined by (mostly himself, but in his mind he would blame) Sherlock. He literally cried in a fetal position in Sherlock’s dorm!

2. Sherlock stops his hand stimming when John mentions Professor James Moriarty in the shoutouts yet says nothing.

3. Why would a random Professor James Moriarty want to mention his full name in the shoutouts, including his job title, and that he’s “listening intently to every word”? Why not just say ‘James’ like every other shoutout name and say that he loves the podcast?

So my crazy theory is this: Professor James Moriarty is actually the PRINCIPAL that Sherlock ruined the life of! Either he’s lying about the professor title or he had to work up to be a professor after he got fired from the college and needed to work up some high title such as being a professor to fix his reputation; it works, considering it’s still in that familiar education field he worked up to. Either way, he’s been listening to the podcast and waited until now to let Sherlock know that he’s there…

What do y’all think? Is this truly crazy brain rot, or do you see the connections?

Shipping or not, this is such a powerful moment for JJ and Emily. And this whole scene was definitely also a huge fuck you to CBS and a nod to what AJ and Paget went through in season 6 behind the scenes with the network. I highly recommend listening to AJ and Paget's podcast eps in Michael Kahan's "Funny in Failure" on youtube or anywhere you listen to podcasts on.

And yes, I got a whole lotta thoughts behind this scene.

so I've heard in the past that some members of the band have hinted at not being 100% straight and richard has given hints at wanting to know what it's like to be a woman, could you please give me some sources to those since I've looked everywhere and can't really find them? thank you, if not, it's totally understandable

Another really really old ask, not because i didn't want to, but because i wanted to findas much info as possible 🌺 sorry anon for taking so long..

Well, the most recent 'hint' was Flake's podcast with topic 'gay/lesbian' where he mentioned that the topic came up one evening when the band were chatting and it turned out they all had their experiences 🥰

Rammstein is imo a band who has always been very 'inclusive' in any sexual preferences, and especially in Till's lyrics you can tell he is very interested in anything out there (not that that makes him 'not straight' (to be honest, i think he is, by some other quotes in interviews 😊) but i wouldn't be surprised if he tried some stuff somewhere in life).

Richard did an 2010 interview in Canada (don't have a link to the original, just this transcript) where he was quoted (about 'Mann gegen Mann')

"Actually, Till showed the lyrics to our Gay community, to our friends, just to make sure, because if you talk about something that you not really are, it's always kind of hard. Sometimes you cross the line, you don't think about it, but it could be offensive. If you do something because it's your experience, it's fine, but if you write something and you're not actually a part of it, I think you should make sure that everything you want to say is right. So he gave the lyrics to some friends, and they were very approving."

Which sort of confirms that they don't see themselves as gay so much. Also in interviews where they were asked 'are you gay', they usually end up with 'no'... interestingly, i don't think i've seen an interview where an interviewer explicitely asked 'are you bisexual' 🌺 (by the way, i would be really surprised if Richard hadn't some experience with a guy when he was younger, i vaguely remember he alluded to such in a really old interview, but i don't have a link).

Richard indeed has expressed ideas about his feminine side several times, in the interbiew above he says for instance

"If you talk to me right now, I'm a big believer in getting myself in balance between the female and the male side. I have a female side too, obviously."

And very striking was in several interviews ca 2021 after he did the cover 'Always on my mind' with Till for the Emigrate album 'The Persistence of Memory' and then made it a duet, stating:

"I mean, obviously, Till has also this very characteristic voice. And then it was pretty fast. He recorded one day. And then I was listening to it, and I felt a little bit that his performance was a little bit too male-oriented. So I felt I need a little female touch to it. So that’s why my personality came in. And I think it’s a good combination"

So he felt a female touch was needed, and added his own voice to Till's track 🥰

And ofcourse in 2023 he shared on his ig

"I've always wondered what it's like to be a woman"

Now ofcourse this could just be a Kruspe-caption 😊 but with the 'DT' video in mind and his role in it, it makes one wonder doesn't it... where is that making of when we need it 🌺😊

I went to Billboard Live Tokyo last night! ! The other day I went to see Shin Hashimoto and Yosuke Eguchi, but this time I attended a performances from Satoshi Takebe and Noriyuki Makihara! Earlier this year, I went to a live with Takebe-san and Ayaka Hirahara. This series of lives has been really impressive...����✨ It was the second time in my life that I saw Mackey at a live event. When Mackey sings, I feel like the whole world is being gently embraced 😭✨ And I realised once again how wonderful singing is, I'm so glad I love music! ! That's what he made me feel😭✨ The performance together with Takebe-san was absolutely wonderful, I was happy to treasure each moment*･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･'(*ﾟ▽ﾟ *)'･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･*

I ended up holding the event together with “Yuu-chan" (temporary name for Shark-chan who kindly stepped in as Yuuka's substitute♪) It was so much fun playing the Ishin-Denshin Clay Art game with everyone! You know and understand me so well ! *laughs* I love how you all managed to come up with the correct answer even though I was making clay art that didn't make any sense. Thank you 😂 I brought home all the gyoza I ate today! Thank you again to the staff members who prepared everything! ! ＼(^o^)／And here are all the sharks that you could see on-screen! I brought all of them in a suitcase. There were so many *laughs*🤣Lots of little ones too. Most of them are gifts from fans! 😊♡ Thank you very much to everyone who tuned in today. Last year's Christmas was a dream-like day since I was able to spend it together with everyone at Kioi Hall. Well, speaking of Christmas, this year I actually went for a health check in the morning of December 25th! ! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ When I called last month to make an appointment, they were pretty much fully booked, the 25th was the only available date before the end of the year... (´ω｀) Oh no! So of course I made an appointment for that day. My first health checkup in 2 years😇I was very curious about my body's condition. As for the results...(the doctor explained them to me in simple terms right after the checkup) I mostly had great results on about 90% of the entire check but there was just one thing, eh? Very frustrating😇Why... ? Anyway. The barium test was pretty rough😭 After swallowing the barium, the X-ray machine was moving around and I was desperately holding onto the pair of handles. It was wild 😭 I thought I was doing a great job following the instructions but halfway through, the nurse suddenly said, ``the areas don't really show up well in the X-ray...can you please take another dose so we can do the whole thing again?'' So that's how I ended up having to drink one more cup of barium🤣🤣 Of course I was like “What?!?! Really??!!” I told the doctor about my motion sickness, that I couldn't ride roller coasters, and sometimes I'd even get a little squeamish on trains so doing the whole test again would be difficult for me...😭 The doctor was incredibly apologetic and a little worried but ultimately we did it again...💦"😅Guess it couldn't be helped😅 And just like that, I was able to finish the test before the end of the year. Despite everything, I left the hospital feeling refreshed... Next, I want to go for a regular checkup with an ENT doctor! ! After my appointment, I actually had a voice training session!!! *laughs* What a busy Christmas! ! 😂😂🎄✨

The final mission of the day was a "Christmas party with my family" so I worked hard towards that goal😇 I safely arrived at my brother's home at the finish line! All my fatigue was blown away by the gorgeous home-cooked meals my sister-in-law had prepared for us...✨･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+✨(Her food is always really amazing!) My niece greeted me wearing a Harry Potter Ravenclaw uniform that she received from Santa! The basil was perfectly grilled... How did she do it...? Both the appetizer jelly as well as the chicken were very delicious...😭✨I was able to spend a fun Christmas with my brother's family and my mother ♡

I was excited even before entering! After carefully listening to the instructions, I went into the store! You can buy snacks prepared in the store, they are very popular among the animals...They are all looking at me with greedy eyes😍 🐶 "Snack! Snack!" The cute little poodle on the right sits like a human😂 🐶 I fell in love with the white cat, Muta-kun, he was such a tsundere🐱…😍💕 🐱 He looked so regal. I was happy to be his servant 😂

There were also ducks and parakeets in a separate room (the ducks are usually taking a walk around the area.) Then there are capybaras and brown tortoises on the outdoor terrace! (I gave them some snacks while looking at the lovely view of Odaiba) Mr. Capybara is relaxing in the twilight while looking at the scenery of Odaiba.The others are taking a nice hot bath♪ The turtle was patrolling back and forth all the time😊 🐢"Busy, busy" I totally forget the time with all these amazing animals, sadly there was a time limit, I definitely wanted to extend it! *laughs* It was the best place! ! Author’s Note: as promised, Alistair goes hunting!! I really wanted to use this chapter to show that the forest is his safe place – somewhere he feels really comfortable and at ease with his surroundings and himself. I also briefly explore his sense of spirituality here, since that's a facet of his character that is completely unexplored in canon, yet has always fascinated me. please do read the warnings – I do describe hunting and the death of an animal. I also listened to 3+ hours worth of podcasts on falconry to write this lmao 😅 I still think I probably don't have everything right, so if anyone out there has falconry experience and would like to gently correct me on anything, please do reach out! ☺️ other than that, I hope y'all enjoy this lighter chapter! 🥰

It was not until he was deep within the woods that Alistair’s heartbeat finally slowed from its heightened state. He tried to match his breathing to the steady steps of the horse beneath him as the thick blanket of leaf litter dulled the sound of its hooves striking the ground. One hand grasping the reins, and the other holding Padua, one of his most beloved falcons, he deftly guided his steed into a clearing. Sunlight fell in dapples through the leaves, catching the stream that gurgled nearby and casting glittering nets of light on the clear water. Alistair closed his eyes, imagining that he was hooded like Padua, and practiced sensing his surroundings without his sight. 

He heard the crystalline chuckling of the stream across the rocks, the choir of birds that chittered and keened in the branches, the soft snuffling and rustling of hidden things in the underbrush. He heard his mount snort and begin ripping at the soft grass, and he came at last to the sound of his own breathing, steady and sure now as he filled his chest with untainted air. The scent of it was both sharp and soft at once: the bite of pine and sap mingled with gentler notes of dirt and decay. More than anything though, he could smell the well-worn leather of his tack and falconry equipment, blending seamlessly with the dusty, warm smell of his steed. He let the reins fall from his grasp, reaching forward instinctively to feel the short, coarse fur of his horse, now damp with sweat where the saddle met its skin. His other hand was cloaked in one of his falconing gloves, but he could barely count that as something he felt, since the worn, supple leather was more like a second skin than a foreign object in his hand. He could feel precisely where Padua’s talons rested, and how the jesses fell and swayed almost imperceptibly in the slight breeze. 

When he opened his eyes again, the sunlight was bright against them, forcing Alistair to blink several times and readjust his sight. He swung off his horse in one practiced motion, landing lightly on the soft grass. After the whirlwind of thoughts that plagued him back at the estate, very little remained in his mind now that it had been cleared by the welcome calm of the forest. 

He let habit and instinct guide his movements; tethering his horse in the small clearing and allowing his feet to carry him along the hidden game trails that crisscrossed the forest like the gossamer threads of a spider’s web. Ever since he was a child, he had always had an innate sense of where to seek quarry. He let the forest speak to him, listening to the way the bird calls changed or how the rustling of tiny creatures shifted as he passed by. Though many had asked for his secret, he could never quite explain the mechanism by which he was able to track animals – in truth, he struggled to even explain it to himself. But whether it was a God-given gift (as his mother believed), a sign of his less-than-sound mental state (as Noll had frequently joked), or simply the natural result of having haunted the woods since he was old enough to walk, it was this sense that he followed as he wound his way through the ferns and logs and moss and trees. 

Coming at last to a place where the edge of the forest bordered a large field, he emerged with Padua from the shelter of the trees and into the sun as it illuminated the swaying grasses like the surface of a great green lake. Had he been with other hunters, or with a more inexperienced falcon, he might have devised some scheme to flush quarry from their hiding places amongst the grassy waves. But he felt Padua stirring where she rested on his arm, itching to hunt. Using the utmost care, he removed Padua’s hood, allowing her to adjust to the new surroundings. With deft hands, he loosed the jesses that bound Padua to him, and watched as the falcon leapt from his raised fist and took to the air.

If there were any moments in Alistair’s life where he was certain that there were greater powers that existed beyond his comprehension, it was when he was watching his falcons fly. The initial burst of powerful wing flaps and the courageous leap out into the nothing of the waiting air that soon transformed into a graceful glide as their outstretched feathers caught the wind and they sailed upward into the open arms of the sky was surely nothing short of a miracle. Through the grace of God, Saint George had slain the dragon and Saint Denis had picked up his own severed head, but who had taught falcons to fly?

Using one hand to shield his eyes from the bright sun, he watched as Padua became a small silhouette against the vast expanse of blue, circling the field below with a sense of sight so precise and focused that Alistair could barely dream of understanding. He shook his head in wonder and lowered his gaze back to a more earthly plane. Snapping a large stick from a fallen tree, he waded out into the grass, brandishing the stick before him to exaggerate the movement and sound he made, hoping to help scare free some prey that Padua could lock onto.

Just as he had hoped, a rabbit suddenly leapt up and made a mad dash away from him. Thoroughly desensitized to what others might have deemed a startling movement, Alistair merely looked to the sky to see Padua already diving for her quarry. In a motion so swift and sure it was almost like a strike of lightning, Padua swooped downward and pinned the rabbit to the soft grass. It wailed in her grasp, the noise coming from its throat sounding more ghoulish than animalistic. But her talons were latched into its flesh, and no matter how it thrashed and screamed, she would not let it go. 

Casting away his stick, Alistair ran to where Padua had the rabbit hooked in her curved talons. In a movement so instinctive he was barely conscious of having performed it, Alistair freed the hunting knife from his belt and quickly dispatched the poor beast. He began butchering it, cutting off small pieces of the bloody flesh to feed to Padua. She waited patiently as he worked, knowing she would soon get her reward. As always, she watched him intently with her night-dark eyes, tilting her head this way and that as Alistair made quick work of her kill. After tucking the extras into his leather pouch, he indicated for Padua to once again take up her roost on his arm. When she was settled again, he began feeding her slices of the rabbit meat. 

Everything about his birds never ceased to fascinate him, and he watched enraptured as she ripped at the bloody flesh before choking down a bite-sized piece. Her movements, like his, were skillful and exact, honed to perfection through years of practice and training. By the time she had eaten her fill, the sun was beginning to dip toward the horizon, its late afternoon light casting a golden glow across the landscape. Alistair hooded Padua once again and secured the jesses before making his way back to where his horse waited. 

The cool breeze that foretold evening’s coming and the gentle trot of his steed eased Alistair’s mind such that he had almost forgotten the worries that awaited him within the great stone walls of the estate. He returned Padua to her roost with a few whispered words of praise and promises to return to the hunt soon. He swung himself from his horse and handed the reins to an attendant just inside the gaping mouth of the gateway that opened to the twisting mass of halls and chambers within the family’s estate. He was busying himself with removing his falconing equipment when Amice appeared suddenly on a walkway above him. She looked almost ghostly in the fading light and tall shadows cast by the high walls, her skirt and veil fluttering around her in the light wind. But for all the ethereal ambience that seemed to surround her, her face was grave and set in stone. With neither one of them exchanging a word, Alistair understood that he was meant to follow her as she vanished back into the stone walls.

You chat about life and how his solo album is coming. He asks where you’re headed to next.

You liked Jimin, you liked how you never felt any pressure between the two of you, that everything just seemed to flow. You spent the next two hours with him in the kitchen eating seconds, laughing, and cleaning up. He didn’t mind when you had to take some work calls, opting to sit in your backyard lounging on the patio scrolling through his phone. When you came and sat beside him he let you unload about work with your head in his lap. He listened intently and said all the right things. And when you led him up to your room and kissed him he explored your body with a familiarity that gave you butterflies. You fell into each other like lovers that had known each other a million years and after hours of seeing stars you flopped down onto him completely exhausted. Okay. They can't shut Hera off. That seems ominous. I'm not sure if it's ominous because the time will come when they want to shut her off, or ominous because the time will come when a bad guy finally figures out how to shut her off. Either way not good.

Shouldn't they have a ship coming to restock them at some point or a return date? They mention "Earth", but so far I don't think anyone has mention loved ones they left behind, a return date, or anything like that.

Why does Douglas (and apparently everyone) hate physical examinations? They're in space. It's not like they can force them to run a mile...right?

I love Hera. "The report was a fabrication! 🥰". "You place too much judgement on the concept of lies... it's only sticks and stones that can break a human's feeble delicate flesh." I love how everyone just accepts this is how she talks.

Um... what on earth is this physical examination? Why is there so much pain? Why can't it be stopped once it starts? Is this a meta thing where this is the physical examination?

Nah, the one thing I agree with Douglas on is that Hilbert is up to stuff.

Okay. Don't like it. Don't like the plant. It's either a crisis or a lie that's going to eventually be a very appropriate metaphor.

Oh my gosh why does Hilbert want their spinal fluid? Like...why do they need to do this? I get that they're in space but normalize providing reasons for serious medical examinations.

Kill it? What if it's not hostile? But then again what if it is? How does it have an eye? Teeth? Oh never mind it is hostile.

Oh it's still on the loose...Douglas what the heck. A good day? A plant wants to kill you. Have you seen the musical?

...wait. Is that a theme? First the Entertainer plays, now we got Little Shop of Horrors references...is this a theme of season 1? Space musicals?

And...now Douglas is in space. What happened to the plant? Why is that not a priority?

I do love the commander's "No Tomfoolery" clause.

I wonder if Hera understands what it means.

Oh dear. Here goes Douglas. Well, he was a nice character while he lasted. 🫡 And by nice, I mean he was entertaining, but very underqualified for his position. Scarily underqualified in fact, in terms of his ability to cooperate and work with a team. How did he even get this job?

He was blinded by the flare? So is he blind the rest of the show or can they fix it?

Oh dear...Hera...drown in space? Of all the ways to go. And still nothing about that killer plant. Did I listen out of order or something? I feel like I might have.

I like the Commander. Hilbert on the other hand? The worst.

I'm also wondering when/if other characters show up. Are there really just four characters? I swear I saw people posting about more.

I still want to know why they are in space. If this is a research mission, then why isn't anyone giving them supplies? Why don't they have a return date? If it's a survival mission, why aren't they acting more urgent?

Also does...does Douglas or another character nearly die at the end of every episode?

Hera: "Because I missed you."

Also Hera: "I lie 🥰"

And...more ominously cheerful piano music🎶🎹🎵🎹🎶. Which honestly fits Hera's aesthetic pretty well.

Okay Douglas has a clear nicotine problem.

Also. While he deals with his illness, I just gotta add something I noticed: the AI on the ship is called Hera. The ship is called Hephaestus. Isn't... isn't there a Greek Myth about Hephaestus being the son of Hera that she rejects and throws off Mount Olympus? Don't like how that sounds...

Hilbert. Hilbert. Why have you tied him to the bed and left him with nothing but his nicotine? That sounds like a major consent and health code violation. He's not violent or at risk of hurting anyone! Well, I mean, at least not any more than he normally is.

Huh. Hera's not here. And yet she said she couldn't be shut off "even if they wanted to". Weird.

Well at least Hilbert is feeding him. Oh my gosh Douglas is fake taking the pills? I'm not saying taking them is a good idea, but not taking them isn't great either. Why do they have this one guy doing all science stuff? Like he's the medical doctor, but he's also the guy running all the technology and experiments. They couldn't have a different guy to be their medical doctor? Maybe someone slightly less crazy?

Hilbert. Once again, he might trust you more if you didn't tie him to a bed, drug him in his sleep, and say things like "some people need to be dragged kicking and screaming towards improvement".

Yeah what on earth does "Big Day Tomorrow" mean? I'm not sure, but once again does Douglas nearly die during most episodes?

Also tying someone to a bed with a killer plant on the loose seems like a pretty bad idea.

500th day around Wolf395 you say Douglas? Okay, so they've been in space for about a year and a half. Still not sure what they're doing up there. Also Hera's "I don't know what I want, but I know how to get it" quote. Very ominous coming from an AI.

I don't like the way Hilbert talks to Hera. Apparently Hera doesn't either...oh dear.

Hilbert you foolish liability, what did you do?

Ugh I wish I could make out what the audio is saying. And I wish it would get louder Douglas. Then maybe I could hear it.

Oh now this is interesting! Wonder what the voices mean?

Have these voyages or experiments happened before?

I suppose we'll find out. Oh that is not a solid explanation from Hera. And again, why are Douglas, Minkowski and Hilbert the only people on the ship? Don't they need anyone else? And what happened to the killer plant? Did I skip an episode? Are we suppose to just pretend that never happened? Is it gonna come back later? Find out I guess.
