"You mean she rejected you?" Martin chuckled upon hearing Bongbong's story.

"Tumigil ka nga." He curled his forehead. "I've never been rejected by any woman in my whole life. Siya lang." He added. "Grabe, Bongets. Di ako makapaniwala. Anong plano mo ngayon?"

"Sus. Makukuha ko rin yang babaeng yan. Nagiinarte lang yan." He assured not wanting his ego to feel damaged.

Rody and Leni's relationship lasted longer and turned deeper. They would go all in love at the office, everybody knew about them — Bongbong hated it.

Despite their deepening relationship, Rody respected her decision of avoiding getting extremely intimate for the mean time as she said she wasn't ready for it yet.

Rody liked Leni's simplicity and purity. For him, she was an angel. She has been very honest and loving with him about everything and it made him love her even more. He had past relationships before, mostly, his exes were former employees in the company and were newbies in relationships as well — it was his thing. Yet, Leni was so precious to him. She was different among all his ex girlfriends, she was too pure, so nice.

Standing up in front of the table, Leni was reviewing a certain document before she submits it to Rody.

"Wag mong masyadong pagurin sarili mo ha." Rody uttered as he noticed how she has been consistently reviewing the document for the past few days. She remained busy looking at it after flashing a soft smile. He stood up and paced towards her.

"Ilang araw mo nang tinututukan yan ha..." He hugged her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder. He was initiating a cuddle with her, she turned around and smiled at him. "... Rest for a while." He continued. "Ayoko lang na may mali kapag binigay ko na sayo." She wrapped her arms around his neck.

He gazed at her in fascination. She was so pure for him. He couldn't believe he's even with her.

"I love you." He uttered randomly making her blush. "Mmm, I love you too..." She squealed and felt a bit funny. He found her so adorable gushing, he placed a subtle kiss on her lips.

Bongbong suddenly entered his office unanticipatedly seeing the two cuddling each other. Leni immediately withdrew herself from the cuddle and took her folder.

"Excuse lang po." She informed not wanting to interrupt any planned business between Rody and Bongbong. Bongbong raised his eyebrows.

"Sabay tayo umuwi mamaya ha." Rody kissed her before she left.

Kalokohan.

Bongbong suppressed his displease. Bongbong began to discuss his purpose of coming to his office as soon as Leni left.

They discussed about Rocos' upcoming big project and their marketing plans for it up to the point that their great minds couldn't handle each other and they lead into an argument.

"E kalokohan naman yang sinasuggest mo!" Bongbong insulted in displease. Rody snorted. "Bakit hindi nalang tayo gumawa ng sari-sarili nating proposal? Tingin mo?" He suggested. "Mabuti pa nga kesa magsettle tayo sa mga suggestions mo." Bongbong retorted and walked out.

They ended up roughly and in bad terms.

"Good luck." Leni told Rody before he entered the meeting room.

Rody and Bongbong had their separate presentations for their marketing proposal for the upcoming major project of Rocos due to huge differences with their ideas. The CEO, COO and board of directors witnessed their presentations and reviewed their proposals very well — deciding which is better.

They started to vote for which proposals they prefer and Bongbong's proposal ended up with the most number of votes. It hurt Rody's ego somehow as Bongbong grilled him on purpose that he can't determine where was coming from.

The directors started to leave the meeting room leaving Bongbong and Rody behind.

"Sabi ko sayo hindi maganda yang proposal mo e. You had the chance to work with me and spare yourself from shame." Bongbong taunted him. "Come on Bongbong. We are a team here, hindi tayo nagcocompetition dito. We had different suggestions, yours made more sense and that's good." Rody retorted.

Bongbong snickered as he was failing to annoy him. "Siguro kung magfofocus ka sa Rocos kesa sa mga personal issues mo... Maybe you can contribute better things to our company." He was trying to put up a point.

"What are you trying to say?" Rody asked. "You know what I'm trying to say." He stated.

"Bongbong, wag mo idamay si Leni dito." Rody warned him. "There. There you go. Leni. Busing-busy ka cuddling your girlfriend instead of attending to your responsibilities." Bongbong affronted.

"I said keep her out of this—"

"You're investing so much to that woman, ano bang meron sakanya? Magaling ba?" He continued. "Stop it." Rody started to manifest his annoyance.

"Napaisip lang ako kase the last time I slept her, I wasn't very pleased." He barbed and turned around to walk away. Rody glared at him in offense.

"Anong sabi mo?" His fist clenched in anger.

Bongbong smirked at him as he felt his aggravation. "Alin? That your girlfriend isn't good in bed or that I screwed your girlfriend before you did?" He gladly insulted him.

Rody felt very offended with his manner of talking about her.

"Wow— ilang buwan mo nang girlfriend yang babaeng yan tapos hindi pa niya naaamin sayo? Kahit i-bring up?" Bongbong brought up. "Bring up what?" He asked.

"That we had a one night stand?" Bongbong gladly spilled — feeding his pride.

Rody paused for a moment and snickered. "Bakit naman ako maniniwala sa mga pantasya mo?"

Bongbong refused to put it in detail. "Oh, eh bakit hindi siya yung tanungin mo?" He dared liking the fact of killing Rody with curiosity. He walked out of the meeting room feeling like he just won an argument.

"Uy. Kamusta yung meeting?" Leni immediately asked and kissed Rody on the cheek as he entered his office.

"Okay lang naman. Bongbong's proposal got approved." He replied coldly. "Oh."

"Okay lang yan. That doesn't make you any less than him." She tried to cheer him up and cuddled him but he remained cold.

He gently removed her arms off him and looked at her blankly. She started to wonder what was going on. "May problema ba?" She asked. He knew it was the right time to confront her — he could no longer handle the urge to ask her about it.

"Leni... Pwede bang ipangako mo na magiging honest ka saakin?" He demanded. "Oo naman, lagi naman akong honest sayo." She smiled. He looked at her with doubts and uncertainty.

"Anong meron sainyo ni Bongbong?" He began. She felt bothered to hear such questions from him, she didn't know where he was coming from.

"Ha? Anong meron samin ni Bongbong. Uh- anong meron?" She hoped to get a hint.

He started to feel torn whether to continue confronting her or not but he needed answers.

"May history ba kayo?" He asked. "Rody. Saan nangagaling yan? Hindi ko maintindihan." She answered with a question.

"May nangyari ba sainyo? Have you ever slept with him?" He dropped the question largely startling Leni in guilt.

Her mouth slightly opened in surprise and sudden confrontation. She couldn't answer, she couldn't determine how to answer. It was something she never wanna bring up to anyone but then there goes the love of her life asking her for the truth.

Rody was bothered by her tedious silence. "Totoo ba?"

"Rody... It's not like what you think it is..."

"Totoo nga." He had a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Rody, pakinggan mo muna ako." She pleaded. "Akala ko ba honest ka saakin ever since. How come you never told me about this? May plano ka bang aminin saakin o plano mong itago saakin habambuhay?" He started to vent out his doubts.

"Hindi, hindi sa ganon. Ang saakin lang kase ayoko nang maalala pa-"

"Hindi mo gustong maalala na may nangyari sainyo? Pano Leni? Wag mo sabihing hindi mo ginusto yon dahil pumayag ka at the first place." He questioned her response.

"Hindi... Rody... Magulo e, komplikado yung sitwasyon." She sounded so problematic with how to explain. "Mahabang kwento."

"Go on." He uttered.

"Oo, totoo na may nangyari saamin noon pero once lang—"

"One night stand."

She paused for a moment. "Oo..." She uttered. "So one night stand is your thing?" He asked. "No. Hindi. Oo may nangyari pero... Binayaran niya kase ako..."

"Wow." He felt more disturbed thinking she slept with him in exchange for money.

"Ay wait! I mean hindi, hindi sa ganon. I mean, oo ganon nga, binayaran niya ako pero kase—"

"Leni, never kitang ginalaw dahil sabi mo hindi ka pa handa. I respected that tapos malalaman ko na ginagawa mo yan para sa pera? What's worse is you did it all with Bongbong." He sounded extremely disappointed. She felt so bad and guilty about it. She herself regret doing it and she can't blame him for being disappointed about it.

"Pero Rody, wala naman yun e. I swear to God that I am serious about us. Mahal kita." She assured. "Paano ako maniniwala ngayon, Leni? Pakiramdam ko hindi na kita kilala. I'm not sure if I'm seeing the real you or are you just trying to be all this innocent kind of girl?" He confided.

"Rody, wag mo naman sabihin yan o... Mahal kita." She started to become teary. "Oo, sige. Pero ako hindi na ako sigurado kung mahal nga kita. Hindi ko kase alam kung ikaw ba yung babaeng minahal ko." He retorted.

"Rody—" She held his hands but her removed himself from her grip. "I'm sorry, Leni." He sounded so torn apart.

"Leave the office. I need some time alone." He requested. She didn't want to force herself and end up annoying him. She was guilty, she didn't tell him about it when she should. She did wrong and now that he knew about her secret, she has to face the consequence.

She walked out of his office despite that she wanted to stay and continue defending herself but she thought he needs time and space.

Cool off lang 'to. Kailangan lang niya ng space at konting panahon. Magkakaayos pa kami.

She at least hoped as she walked away.

Days have passed. Rody started to become cold. Professional. It felt like the old times when they weren't together. When she tries to reach out for him; he immediately shuts it off. It felt like they're already through.

It just largely bothered him to know the story about Bongbong and Leni. He always had the largest turn offs about kept secrets and unchastity. As much as modest and austere women attracts him, the opposite repelled him. His sprouting feelings for Leni suddenly turned upside down upon his discovery of her kept past with Bongbong. He knew he had to break up with her even if it'll tear her apart.

Leni and Rody's break up spread like wildfire in the office.

She did her best to cope with the situation in the office, she also avoided bumping into Bongbong to avoid further issues. Rody decided not to further elaborate the info as he wanted to protect Leni's image in the company as well.

Leni had her own down time about the break up and Natalia — despite being clueless of the full details — cheered her up. It took her about a month to be at least, fine about the break up.

One time, Leni was assigned by Rody to assist Bongbong in reviewing a specific presentation. She didn't know if Rody assigned the task to her on purpose or it was just her who puts meaning to it. Nonetheless, she had no choice but to obey.

She went to building A with Bongbong. He felt thrilled, she was bothered and she hated him for causing her break up with Rody. Silence swarmed them as they rode the elevator.

"So I heard hiwalay na kayo ni Rody." He ceased the awkward silence. She was annoyed the moment he talked about it.

"Oo, masaya ka na? Bakit hindi tayo magcelebrate sa office mo?" She rolled her eyes and walked ahead of him as the elevator opened its doors. He immediately followed her to his own office. She remained cold, her face was blank, she showed no interest in working with him.

"I am just trying to make a conversation to make our collaboration easier—"

"Kaya ko naman po magtrabaho ng wala yan." She squelched and browsed the documents. "I am your boss." He reminded her as she was being a bit disrespectful in the matter of work.

"Ay? Sorry sir Bongbong kung ang bastos ko magsalita. Kung gusto niyo sisantihin niyo na ako, deserve ko naman e." She dared as she wanted to leave the workplace to avoid further emotional alarums and excursions.

"I wouldn't do that." He retorted, she looked at him in wonder. "Because you want it. I don't work for you. I don't work to please you. If you want to get fired then you're not getting it." He continued. She snickered. "Oo nga pala, sarili mo lang naman iniisip mo." She mocked.

He felt challenged with the way she talks back at him. He doesn't like the feeling of being dominated by women. He grabbed her arm and cornered her in the table; he glared at her and had a small distance from her face.

"Ano? Sasaktan mo ako? Sige go!" She stumped. He clenched his teeth as he felt no fear in her.

Its been a while but he wasn't doing anything. He couldn't think of a way to taunt her. She slammed his chest and slightly pushed him away from her.

"Sinira mo ako sa tanging taong minahal ko. Siya na nga lang ang meron ako kinuha mo pa. Ano bang nagawa ko sayo para gawin mo sakin 'to?" She started to rant. "Oo sige, binigyan mo ako ng malaking pera, hindi pa ba sapat na nababoy mo na yung buong pagkatao ko?" She pounded his chest again to release her anger.

"Alam mo? Ang sama mo. Sobrang sama mo! Wala naman akong ginagawa sayo para gawin mo lahat sakin 'to." She swore. He was speechless. A part of him couldn't understand why he hated to see her that way, why he hated to make her feel that way. A part of him wanted to conceal his concerns for her and pretend like he doesn't care at all.

The next days, Leni became extremely cold towards Bongbong. She did her best to avoid him as well and it annoyed him. As much as he wants to avoid her too, he just couldn't let a day pass without seeing her.

Bongbong went to Rody's office with a proposal.

"You're kidding, right?" Rody chuckled upon seeing his request. "Muka ba akong nagbibiro?" Bongbong retorted.

The smile faded from Rody's lips, he hardened his jaws and looked away. "You're asking me to sign this paper to take Leni from my department and transfer her to your division?"

"Exactly." He replied.

"Sige." Rody uttered. "You got her." He signed the end of the sheet. He knew it would be better if he see less of Leni everyday.

Bongbong flashed a side smile. "Thank you." He took the document and immediately left his office.

“Feliz #NewMusicMonday! Esta semana, estamos lhe apresentando a um de nossos novos grupos favoritos de meninas, TP4Y! Elas lançaram um novo EP (o qual ouvimos sem parar), então certifique-se de obtê-lo no iTunes ou transmiti-lo no Spotify! Fizemos às meninas algumas perguntas sobre seu som, suas inspirações musicais (todas saúdam a Rainha Bey), os itens necessários de beleza e muito mais! Conte-nos sobre seu novo single, ‘Million Bucks’. Qual foi o processo de gravação para vocês? 

Sterre: Foi um longo processo haha. O motivo de ter demorado tanto foi porque queríamos que soasse perfeito! Os fãs tiveram que ser pacientes por um bom tempo e nós queríamos fazer algo que valesse a pena esperar. 

Nour: Eu amei gravar ‘Million Bucks’; nós gravamos muitas de nossas músicas verão passado e gravamos ‘Million Bucks’ há cerca de um mês, e é tão divertido ver o quanto crescemos e melhoramos! Nós sempre nos apoiamos quando estamos no estúdio, eu gostaria de poder estar no estúdio o dia todo com as meninas, muito divertido. 

O vídeo da música é tão legal! Há momentos memoráveis por trás das câmeras que vocês podem compartilhar conosco?

Amber: Ah, muito obrigada! Bem, há algo que eu acho um pouco engraçado haha... No segundo dia, nós fomos para dois locais. O primeiro local era em Amsterdã e o segundo em Haia, então depois do primeiro local nós tivemos que dirigir para o segundo. Nós todas estávamos realmente cansadas, então tiramos uma poderosa soneca em cima uma das outras no carro hahaha!

Nour: Eu sou tão grata por tudo o que fazemos, e eu realmente gostei muito de filmar o vídeo de ‘Million Bucks’; os dançarinos em nosso vídeo foram tão gentis, eu senti como se fosse uma grande família, eles estavam nos contando sobre suas namoradas e coisas de relacionamento (muito engraçado), nós demos alguns conselhos, mas eu não sei se isso realmente ajudou... Hahaha.

Como vocês descreveriam o som/vibe do seu novo EP, ‘Kisses’? 

Zoë: Muitas músicas tem uma vibe de verão. E eu adoro o verão, então é uma coisa boa! Elas também são bem poderosas e inspiradoras, então quando você estiver se sentindo triste e quiser continuar se sentindo assim [triste], não ouça nosso EP porque vai, definitivamente, te deixar feliz!

Sterre: Hmmmm, cada música tem uma vibe diferente... Desde uma vibe praiana, até uma vibe maneira. Essa é uma das coisas legais do EP! ‘Bitter Candy’, por exemplo, soa difícil, sedutora e feminina. Então, você pode ver [o EP] ‘Kisses’ como um caos organizado hahaha. Toda vez que escuto as músicas meu humor continua mudando, é uma boa experiência. 

Vocês têm uma música favorita fora do EP?

Zoë: Sim, minha música favorita é ‘Take It Like a Man’!

Sterre: Hmm, dependendo do meu humor, é entre ‘Runaway’ e ‘Take It Like a Man’!

Nour: ‘Runaway’ costumava ser minha música favorita, mas agora não tenho tanta certeza?! Eu amo ‘Blush’... Mas eu amo a mensagem e a vibração de ‘Take It Like a Man’, então eu acho que gosto de todas!

Amber: Sim! Minha música favorita é ‘Blush’.

Como o processo de composição geralmente funciona para vocês?

Nour: Temos uma equipe incrível nos ajudando! Eles nos enviam músicas e escolhemos as que mais amamos! Estamos tentando escrever nossas próprias músicas, espero que uma de nossas músicas seja lançada um dia! Eu acho um pouco difícil fazer uma boa música, então estou feliz por recebermos alguma ajuda, por enquanto!

Amber: Mas estamos todas trabalhando em nossas habilidades de composição e esperamos escrever uma música própria um dia!

Sterre: Esse é definitivamente um dos nossos objetivos!

Zoë: Sim! Esperamos escrever nossos próprios sucessos no futuro!

Quando vocês não estão ocupadas com a música, o que vocês gostam de fazer?

Sterre: Eu amo fazer meu cabelo e maquiagem em momentos estranhos, fazer 100 selfies, editar as que mais gosto, escolher uma e publicá-la no Instagram. Além disso, eu gasto muito tempo em redes socais... Pode-se dizer que sou um pouco viciada.

Amber: Eu adoro fazer esportes! Na maioria das vezes eu corro por fora do parque ou vou à academia. Eu também gosto muito de tocar violão.

Zoë: Eu amo sair com minha família e amigos. E eu adoro assistir Gossip Girl ou concertos da Beyoncé... Isso é o que eu faço todos os dias!

Nour: Quando não estou ocupada com a música, costumo fazer a minha lição de casa ou sair com amigos! Mas eu tenho que dizer que sou viciada em música; ouço músicas no caminho para a escola, nos corredores, quando vou para casa, quando vou para a cama; mas eu também gosto de assistir TV, estou obcecada por Modern Family e Friends.

O que você espera riscar de sua lista de desejos este ano?

Nour: Conseguir 1 milhão de visualizações em um de nossos vídeos! Isso seria tão legal! E, claro, poder conhecer muitos de nossos fãs e apresentar todas as nossas músicas pra eles.

Sterre: Eu realmente quero que uma de nossas músicas entre nos Charts e seja ouvida ao redor do mundo. Isso seria muito incrível! 

Amber: Uma turnê da TP4Y!

Zoë: Eu adoraria ir aos Estados Unidos com as meninas e poder apresentar uma de nossas músicas lá!

Algum plano para ir para os Estados Unidos em algum momento?

Amber: Talvez possamos fazer planos agora? Haha, eu acho que todas nós queremos ir para os EUA, então espero que possamos ir em breve!

Sterre: Nós realmente queremos ir aos Estados Unidos uma vez, então poderemos conhecer todos os Pretty Ones de lá!

Nour: Eu espero que sim! Eu sempre sonhei em ir aos Estados Unidos desde que era pequena, talvez no verão! 

Zoë: Nós falamos sobre isso todos os dias haha e eu espero que nosso sonho se torne realidade realmente em breve!

Qual é a melhor maneira para um fã conseguir sua atenção nas redes sociais?

Sterre: Apensa seja você mesmo! Nós tentamos prestar a maior parte da nossa atenção em nossos fãs, porque nós não estaríamos aqui sem eles! É uma tarefa impossível responder cada um dos Pretty Ones... Mas estamos tentando!

XXIII. Best Thing I Never Had

Leni and Bongbong went out together as planned but they didn't expect that it would be followed by few more dates and time together slowly bringing back the old flame between them.

It made them feel happy but it terrified Leni somehow. She knew where Bongbong stands in relationship but she never got the chance to being it up to him during their times together as she found it very sentimental and special to be with him. Little did she know that Bongbong couldn't explain how happy and contented he was to be forgiven by her again despite all the agonies he brought to her in the past. He treasured her and all the time they had together.

Imelda liked Leni so much individually and for her own son that it was easy for Leni to come and go to their place without having much problem. Imelda saw how Bongbong changed for her, she never saw him genuinely happy with a woman as he shows when he is with Leni. She knew it was real, she knew it was special.

Bongbong and Leni continued going out for a couple of months. They went on movie dates, road trips, breakfast, lunch and dinner dates bringing them closer together. On another side, Bongbong never pressured her about the pace of what they have, hence, they both didn't have much guts to ask each other the real score between them despite all the dates they had together.

All they know for now is that they are happy and they are better with each other around.

It was late in the evening, Bongbong drove Leni to her apartment after their dinner date.

"Good night, Leni." He kissed her cheek. "Good night." She replied with a smile. "Ikamusta mo nalang ako kay Natalia." He requested before he started to walk away.

Leni felt so emotional at that very moment. She couldn't contain her feelings for him as she watched him walk away. "Bong." She called him.

He turned around and looked at her. She walked closer to him and tried to figure out how to ask him what has been bugging her mind the whole time.

"Sorry kung tatanungin ko 'to ha... ayokong masira yung araw mo pero kase... medyo nalilito kase ako." She began. He looked at her and willingly listened. "Ano ba 'to?" She asked. "I mean... Itong ginagawa natin? Meron bang us o...?" She asked hesitantly. "Bong..." She sighed. "Alam ko namang hindi ikaw yung tipo ng taong mahilig sa commitment pero kase kung hindi mo naman talaga gusto 'to, hindi mo naman kailangan magpanggap saakin. Kung ayaw mo talaga, okay lang. Naiintindihan ko." She continued.

He didn't know how to correctly respond to her statement. "Bong... Hindi naman sa tinataboy kita pero kung wala ka rin namang plano para saatin, mas mabuti sigurong wag nalang natin ituloy... Ayoko lang kase na magkasakitan tayo ulit." She elaborated. "Ayoko lang umasa," she added.

He felt overwhelmed for a bit but he wanted to comfort her. He took a deep breath and held her hands.

"Leni..." He began. "Alam ko sinabi ko noon na hindi ko naman naimagine yung sarili ko ever na magiging committed sa isang tao pero sinabi ko 'yon kase hindi pa ako handa. Pero nung sinabi mo saakin na wala na tayo? Tapos na? I realized a lot of things." He continued. "Akala ko kaya kong maging okay sa ganitong set up, strangers lang, hindi tayo, wala akong obligasyon sayo. Takot ako sa concept ng commitment na yan. Hindi pa ako handa sa mga ganyang bagay noon..." He kept going.

"But I realized... it's not the commitment that I am terrified about. The truth is, ang kinakatakot ko e yung ako yung maging dahilan kung bakit ka umiiyak, kung bakit ka nasasaktan dahil hindi naman ako perfect at hindi ko maiiwasan yon. Hindi ako takot na magkaobligasyon sayo dahil ang totoo niyan, takot akong maging tayo tapos isang araw mawawala ka saakin." He explained.

"Takot rin ako masaktan, Leni. And I know that if I keep you with me, every time that I'll make you cry and break you, I'll break myself too and everything is so new to me. Ni hindi ko nga alam kung kaya kong itolerate yang mga heartaches na yan." He continued. "So I thought... Maybe letting you go and moving on is the best solution for me to end this fears... but it's bullshít." He chuckled. "I just ruined myself with this. Letting you go wasn't actually the best choice." He started to sound serious.

He held her chin and looked at her in the eye appreciating every inch of her.

"I know I'm still not quite ready for commitments pero hindi na ako takot subukan this time because I know I am with the right person." He smiled softly at her. Tears started to stream down her cheeks, she couldn't believe she would hear him say such.

"O, bakit ka umiiyak?" He asked. "Wala... Yan kase yung gusto ko marinig sayo noon pa e." She cried. He held her close to him and kissed the top of her head.

"Leni... You're the best thing I never had." He confessed.

She tried to stop herself from crying. "Sa'yo naman ako simula palang e." She replied making him feel relieved.

A smile grew on his lips upon hearing her. He cupped her face and wiped her drenched cheeks with his thumb. "Meron sana akong gustong sabihin na never ko pang nasabi sa kahit na sino." He stated. She looked at him and waited for him to speak.

He gazed at her and appreciated every single part of her face.

"I love you." He uttered dreamily.

She felt so blown away upon hearing the words that came out from his mouth. She never thought he would say it. She failed to keep herself from breaking down in happiness.

"I love you too." She cried and hugged him tight.

He held her close and felt so elated upon hearing her reciprocate his words of love. He never imagined himself confessing his love to anyone, but when he did, it felt good. He never thought it would feel so satisfying, he knew she was the right person.

The warmth of her body felt like a fire during winter. He felt so contented, it felt like a perfect time to him. He didn't want the night to end, he didn't wanna let go of her in his arms. He just wanted to hold her close to him and feel her closeness against his soul.

I couldn't explain what this feeling is but there's nothing I could ask more than to not let this moment end.

Early morning at Rocos, Leni went to Bongbong's office.

"Uy." He uttered upon seeing her. He was amused to see her without any document in her hand. "Ba't ka napadaan?" He asked. "Wala naman, gusto lang kita makita." She replied making him smile. He found her so sweet.

He stood up and hugged her. "Well thanks for coming dahil gusto rin kita makita." He stated as he wrapped his arms around her. He cupped her face and gazed at her. He couldn't believe how happy he is to have her.

"May nakalimutan pala akong itanong sayo kagabi." He brought up. "Hm? Ano yon?" She replied curiously.

"Are we....?" He asked hangingly. "Anong are we...?" She asked back. "Are we ano... na ba...?" He grinned looking at her. She finally got what he was trying to ask.

"Aaah...Are we." She blushed for a moment. "Yes, we are." She confirmed and grinned at him.

Bongbong felt like he was slapped in the face by happiness upon hearing her response. She just said yes to being his girlfriend.

It's official. Leni is my girlfriend and I am her boyfriend.

He couldn't get any happier. He hugged her tightly and kissed her cheeks repeatedly to express his ecstasy. She kept giggling as she receive his kisses.

He looked at her with a smile on his face. "I love you talaga, Leni." He uttered sincerely. She pursed her lips and blushed. "I love you din po!" She squealed.

They couldn't keep their hands to themselves whenever the other is around. They cuddle every time they had the chance, they took every moment and second together as if it's their last time.

Imee and Imelda relentlessly supported their relationship on and off the workplace. They made Leni feel welcomed to their family and premises. Eventually, Leni introduced her little sister, Natalia to Bongbong's family as well and liked her as much as they liked Leni. It was all perfect. It's as if there's nothing more they could ask for.

Leni and Bongbong took everything slowly to avoid overwhelming each other. They enjoyed each other's presence, made the most of it.

They felt like each other's missing puzzle piece. He made her feel complete as much as she made him feel complete.

Everybody knew the real score between them and they were both proud about it. They never denied each other. There was no reason to deny it as they think they are match made in heaven after all that they have been through.

Despite that Bongbong still had the fear of possibly hurting Leni because of his inconsistency, he thought that what matters to him now is that she is with him. Nevertheless, he did his best to be the best boyfriend he could be to her.

Part 2 - Yellow Rose

She sighed and sat on the dining area as he cooked two sunny side up and served two plates of garlic rice on the table.

"Good morning," he greeted and kissed her cheek. "Mmm, morning." She replied and smiled at him, she watched him sit next to her. He observed her face, he knew she has a problem — he sort of mastered her system.

"Ang aga aga bakit naman parang problemado ka na agad?" He asked, she didn't know how to begin.

"Mmmm... alam mo naman na sobrang kumplikado ng pagiging vice 'di ba?" She began, he nodded as he took a spoonful on his mouth. She paused for a moment hesitating to continue but she knew it was just right to tell him.

"Bakit? Anong meron?" He asked wondering what was bothering her. "Kagabi kase... nag-meeting kami ng mga cabinet members kasama si sir— si Digong." She painstakingly shared. "Napagkasunduan kasi namin na... magpapanggap kami ni Digong..." she spoke expecting a negative response from him. He looked away hinting his disapproval.

"Pero it's purely for the show. Para lang maglie low yung issue ng supporters namin para mabawasan yung mga issue na hinaharap namin kase sobrang stressful yung sobrang dami na nga naming sinosolve na issue tapos dadagdagan pa non." She defensively explained.

"Leni? Nakakapag-isip ka pa ba ng maayos?" He scoffed. "Alam mong matagal ka nang gusto niyang si Duterte tapos papatulan mo yung ganyang agreement?!" He slightly raised his voice.

"Pero we agreed naman that it would be platonic. Ipapalabas lang talaga sa mga tao na kami para matigil na yung mga—"

"Sus, Leni." He cuts in and wiped his mouth with the table napkin. He walked out and shut the room's door leaving her behind alone in the dining area.

She sighed heavily, she saw his reaction coming and she hated to see him being troubled because of her. He was special to her, he has been there ever since Jesse was gone, he helped her up when she was at the rock bottom of her life, he never left when she needed him the most, he took good care of her and everything, she was sure that he loves her more than anything and her conscience just couldn't contain the fact that despite all that, she gives him more number of headaches than love.

She decided to finish her meal and wash the dishes before she stood next to his room and courageously knock on his door. "Bolet..." she called softly. "Kausapin mo naman ako," she pleaded feeling so heavy for making him feel that way. "Please? Sige na naman. Buksan mo na yung pinto." She followed. After a while he unlocked the door and made her open it by herself.

He sat on the bed and pretended he was reading a book not giving her a chance to talk. She strode towards him and held his arm. "Usap naman tayo." She gently stroked his arm. "Go on," he replied.

"Wag ka naman magalit sakin, hindi naman porket may agreement na ganito, ibig sabihin maaapektuhan tayo. Matatanda na tayo," she explained. He sighed heavily, it was inevitable for him not to feel insecure of Digong, he was the president and he's quite sure that he has a huge admiration for Leni.

"Leni... ang hirap kase na tagong tago na nga tayo tapos kailangan ko pang basbasan yang pagpapanggap niyo ni Digong. I know, you know that he likes you, para naman kasing lokohan 'to, Leni." He expressed his worry. "Bolet, walang nanloloko, hindi kita lolokohin. May agreement, walang ibang mangyayari maliban sa magpapanggap kaming kami. Yun lang. Alam mo yung totoo," she replied.

"What if he demands to touch you? Kiss you?" He questioned, she paused for a moment as it never crossed your mind. "Eh— w— tingin mo ba irerequire kami ng mga tao na gawin yon? I mean, I don't think kailangan namin maghalikan in public for this. Presidente siya vice ako. Magpapanggap lang kami na kami, siguro laging magkasama sa events, magkatabi, yun lang. Wala ka namang dapat ipag-alala." She answered, he realized that she had a point but there is still something making him feel insecure.

"E kung mahulog yung loob mo sakanya sa pagpapanggap na yan? I mean, it's not impossible." He replied, she felt so heavy. "Bolet naman, ilang taon na tayo... ngayon mo pa ba ako pagdududahan?" She replied.

He exhaled sharply, he was feeling so insecure but he hated to see her feel bad for herself because of him as well. He stood up and looked down at her to cope with their heights' gap.

"Sige," he uttered slightly surprising her. "Pero Leni, I'm putting all my trust to you. Please don't break it." He begged. "I won't," she replied and smiled softly at him.

He looked deeply into her eyes and stroked the tip of her lips up to her cheeks with his thumb before he leaned close to place a passionate kiss on her lips that she reservedly reciprocated. He pressed his palms on the arch of her back making her tilt backwards pressing his lips firmer against her.

He moved her switching their position without letting go of the kiss. They smiled at each other as their lips parted ways. "Magseselos ka pa ba?" She asked sweetly, he replied with a smile and resumed kissing her and slowly guided her back as he made her lay down on the bed. Their hands explored each other along with their intensifying kiss making the start of their day at heat.

"Ma'am," Digong called after they all settled with their agreements at the palace. "Sir?" She haltered and turned to him not realizing he was just right at her back.

"Ay!" She uttered in shock as only an inch of space remained between their faces, he chuckled. She slightly felt embarrassed. "Ah, may bibigay sana ako mam. Can I just borrow your time?" He smiled he almost lost his eyes.

"Bibigay po? Sige po." She replied clueless of what it could possibly be. He walked by her side towards his office and made her sit in front of his desk. He took the yellow Ecuadorian rose inside a glass container and walked towards her. It shook her for every time he took a step closer to her.

He handed her the gift, she didn't expect it, she thought he would just give her contracts or papers but she was wrong. "Sir...?" She uttered finding it hard to believe he's actually giving her a stem of a precious rose.

"It's an Ecuadorian rose, mam. Sabi nila magtagal man yan ng six years or ten I forgot. I immediately thought of you," he shared, a smile grew on her lips, she couldn't help but blush.

"I think it's beautiful..." he rubbed his hands together and gazed at the rose as she held the container. "Naalala agad kita, ma'am. It's like the rose sa beauty and the beast, you're Belle. I'm the beast," he joked making her laugh. "Grabe sir, hindi naman... pero thank you. Di ko 'to inexpect wala tuloy akong gift sainyo." She expressed shyly.

"Sus, I'm not asking for a payment. I just wanted to give you that." He replied. "Thank you, grabe. Ilalagay ko 'to sa office ko para reminder saakin everyday na galing 'to sa presidente ko." She felt so grateful and honored to receive a gift from him, she always looked up to him.

He just smiled as he watched her scrutinize the beautiful gift he gave, it was such a nice view to him. She was very precious it fascinates him so badly.

Suddenly, Leni recalled her argument with Bolet last night, she knew she had to consult Digong about it but then she had a second thought about making him aware about her relationship with him.

"Uh... sir." She uttered as she exhaled heavily, he looked at her and listened. "Yung... sa agreement po." She began, "what about it?" He asked thinking she probably changed her mind about it. She found it hard to construct a meaningful, reasonable and polite statement to tell him about her concern.

"Kase po... alam niyo naman po na medyo kumplikado yung agreement... gusto ko lang po sanang linawin sana kung..." She tried to build her courage to continue. "... kung necessary po ba na we act like a couple? Like ano po yung medyo intimate... uhm—"

He chuckled causing a gentle interruption to her, "Kissing ba mam?" He went straight to the point, she worried that it offended him. "Opo sir, natanong ko lang naman po—"

"Mam, you know... I am okay with it but if you're not, I wouldn't require you to." He clarified making her feel so relieved. "Ayoko man nang pinipilt ka ma'am. That is harrasment, you are a... I respect you." He followed.

She exhaled in relief and gratefulness. "Thank you, sir. Alam niyo naman po kase yung mga anak ko medyo conservative and protective..." She made up a safe excuse. "I won't take advantage of you ma'am. If you feel uncomfortable with anything just tell me, walang problema, I'll stop it." He guaranteed. She just smiled as she appreciated his gentleness to her.

"Anyway mauna na siguro ako, sir. Uuwi pa po kase ako ng Naga." She brought. "Sure ma'am." He walked her down until the lobby of the palace where they waited for her van to fetch her. Bong Go and their PSGs surrounded them.

"Nagbus ka ba niyan pauwi?" He asked. "Opo... matagal tagal na byahe pa po yun." She replied. "Ah... mag-ingat ka mam. Magpahinga ka rin." He expressed. "Malamang naman niyan sa bus ako matutulog, sir." She chuckled.

Finally the van arrived next to them, Digong smiled at her as he watched her go inside the van. "Thank you ulit, sir. Good night po." She bid before her guard closed the door for her.

Digong kept his smile on as he watched her van pace away. "Ano nang plano, Digong?" Bong Go uttered with a slight hint of teasing. "Ganda," he uttered, Bong chuckled.

Lakas ng tama nito kay Leni.

It was inevitable for Bong to notice how fascinated Digong was to her just by observing the way he looks at her.

"Ligawan ko pa yan," Digong brought up as they walked back inside the palace. "Totoo? Sabi ba niya kailangan ligawan pa siya?" Bong asked. "Hindi," Digong chuckled. "Pero liligawan ko yan si Leni para narin mas madali na magkaintindihan kami. Mahirap naman yung magpapanggap ng walang pundasyon." He explained. "Di ba agreement lang naman yan? Di naman seryosohan. Baka magkatotoo yan ha, Digong." He teased.

"E di okay!" He replied enthusiastically. "Sabi na e!" Bong cracked up, he just smiled at him guilty of his hopes for Leni. "Ano bang masama? Pareho naman kaming malaya." He joked. "Sige, Digong; suporta ako sainyo." Bong replied.

But seriously, if we get along well, I might be serious about this woman. She is something, there is something special in her and I just can't let it go.

He described at the back of his head as he thought about her at the back of his mind.

It alarmed him to hear the word of mouth about Leni being affected by the riff between the administration and her party, the liberal party. What's worse now is that his own supporters spit hate against her making everything even more toxic. Hence, he can't just watch her be damaged, he knew he has to do something.

This urged him to consult his team and adviser about what to do to ease Leni's burden.

"It's inevitable." Panelo concludes. "Wala naman tayong magagawa, Digong." Andanar agrees. "The only thing we could do is to tell the supporters not to spit hate against Leni during your public speeches." Panelo suggested. "Oo, tama yan but I think it won't be enough. Mababawasan yung hate hate against her but in a very minimal amount only... very minimal that we wouldn't even notice." Yasay shares.

Digong rested his head's weight to his hand and sighed. "Kailangan man magawan ng paraan yan. She is very affected... for every speech that we say... yung mga speech ni Alan sa mga dilaw, laging nadadamay si Leni when she should not be included." He replied.

The members were silenced for a moment and looked at each other seeming to be having one thought in mind that they doubted to share. "She has to be strong, she shouldn't let herself be affected by the issues especially that she's not guilty of anything," Panelo crossed his arms. "She's innocent. Kaya nga..." He clicked his tongue. "... yang mga dilaw na yan, laking galit ko diyan because dinadamay pa nila yung si Leni, matino man siya eh mga trapo sila lahat doon!" He ranted. Andanar looked at Yasay, he raised his eyebrows signaling him to suggest what they have been thinking lately.

"Digong," Martin uttered, he looked at him problematically. Martin suddenly ran out of words, Panelo saved him. "Are you going to suggest it?" Panelo had to confirm. "Oo," Yasay answered.

"Are you still pursuing Leni?" Panelo asked Digong, it startled him a bit as the question appeared unexpectedly.

"Kase naisip namin na pwede yon to cover up this issue." Andanar supported, Digong still needed more information to comprehend with their point. "Pano naman napunta yung usapan diyan?" He asked.

"Well, Digong... You know the mindset of most of the people supporting you and spitting against Leni, the only way to make them stop is you know." Panelo refused to explain vividly as he assumed Digong understood it well. They waited for Digong's response but he was still trying his best to get their point.

"I know what?" He uttered.

"Make her your girlfriend." Panelo dropped, Yasay smiled, Andanar and the other members blushed for Digong.

It hammered Digong, he thought they were joking. "Mga ulol," he chuckled but everyone remained intact and serious about their suggestion.

"You're serious?" Digong asked. "Seryosong seryoso, Digong." Martin spoke in behalf of the members, they all looked at him for his response.

"Kapag nalaman ng mga tao na kayo ni Leni. Pangulo at vice... mas maniniwala sila na matatag yung tiwala niyo sa isa't isa, mas maniniwala sila na magiging relevant yung bawat opinion niyo, mapag-uusapan lahat kahit opposing man o hindi." Sueño explained. "Tignan mo yung sa AFP ceremony noon, halos lahat ng supporter mo ayaw kay Leni, pero nung nagkaroon ng Dubredo na love team, some felt at ease, some felt relieved, the hate against Leni from your supporters were mum for sometime. 'Di ba, Bong?" Sueño continued. "Opo, Digong. Karamihan doon sa totoo lang, hindi naman si Leni yung binoto pero gumaan yung atmosphere nung naging maganda yung una niyong pagkikita." Go confirmed, it got Digong thinking. "It's funny but it would really work. Pati mga trust issues ng supporters ni Leni, not mainly LP supporters, but just Leni's supporters, pwede mong ma-gain. It's a win win situation," Panelo contributed.

"It would really strengthen the administration." Aguirre joined in upon considering their suggestion that he just heard. "Pati yung ties niyo ni Leni." Yasay added. "That is actually good," Abella uttered upon evaluating the suggestion, "Di ba?" Andanar asked.

"Kase... you can work better together, complaints and bad feedbacks from your opposing supporters would probably stop, maganda yon because less toxic in the administration's mind. Then yung doubts ng mga tao mababawasan rin. It's all good," Abella continued.

Digong couldn't believe they are all agreeing into such implausible suggestion.

"Eh, I get the point but I think... imposible man magawa yan." He expressed his faith in their suggestion. "Ha? Bakit impossible?" Panelo asked. Digong chuckled, "You're suggesting that Leni would be with me for the next six years by pretend? I don't think she would even consider that, desente man yang si Leni, di yan siya magpayag sa mga ganyan." He explained.

Yasay smiled at Andanar, "Mga buang kayo," he joked. "You all know how much I am fascinated by Robredo pero di man ako, ever, nagexpect from her because the thought of her considering is... I think... very much like a fantasy... parang story yan, fairy tale. It's very unlikely to happen. I know it." He continued. "What more to this suggestion?" He followed.

"You think she wouldn't consider this suggestion?" Panelo asked. "No," Digong was so sure. "Sige na, Bong." Andanar ordered him. Digong felt curious as he watched Bong leave the room, he looked at everyone for hints.

After a while, Bong came back to the office with Leni, it shook Digong — largely. They shook hands with her and greeted her warmly.

"Leni." He uttered in surprise before they shook hands. "Sir," she smiled brightly at him. "Pupunta ka pala? Di naman ako nasabihan," he replied. "Ah," she chuckled and looked at Martin who initiated the invitation.

"We're still here," Panelo interjects causing a laughter. Digong pulled a seat for Leni and made her sit beside him.

"Ayun, Digong, nakausap na namin si Leni tungkol dito through a close door talk. Kaya kung okay sainyo..." He uttered hanging.

"Okay naman saakin," Leni nodded and looked at Digong hoping he would agree as well. "Okay sa'yo?" Digong found it hard to believe. "Mmm, I don't think naman na may bad effect ito satin. Nasabi na naman nila yung details nung plano saakin." She explained.

"Lalabas muna kami sa baba, we'll give you some privacy to discuss. Sa baba lang kami if ever napag-usapan niyo na." Yasay informed them before they left the two behind.

"So you're really okay with that?" Digong asked. "Yes, sir. May point naman yung plano nila and what is the harm. Nasabi ko narin naman kila Jill, sa mga anak ko, pinaliwanag ko na sakanila and okay naman sakanila." She elaborated. "Pero Leni, this is for six years? Okay lang sa'yo yon?" He still assumed she would change her mind.

"Opo, sir. Six years nga. Wala naman pong masamang subukan 'di ba? Saka sabi naman nila Martin na kung hindi man magwork out ito as expected, pwede namang itigil." She answered. "Six years lang naman, sir." She lowkey persuaded him as she, herself, is getting tired of the bashes and hates being thrown at them.

Digong sighed, "Eh..." he uttered and looked at her. "Kung okay sa'yo, okay man rin sakin." He replied causing a bright smile to grow on her lips.

"Pero Leni, be sure about this. Sigurado kang okay sa'yo because I don't want you to feel obliged." He stated. "Okay lang talaga, sir. Saka hindi naman kayo iba saakin para mahirapan ako dito." She replied making him internally blush.

After they both agreed, they called up the members to discuss to th their agreement and to hear their plans and further suggestions.

"We have to make it look real and appear natural, yung hindi mukang scripted, hindi planado." Panelo suggests. "Oo, kaya naisip namin na we could start the issue by putting the two of you on a... private ocular visit, yun bang hindi overly publicized. Tapos ang purpose is to check on the people na nasa laylayan nga pero we'll allow the media to be able to take candids of the two of you. Okay na siguro yung naka-angkla yung kamay ni Leni kay Digong. Basta yung mga soft acts ng mga nagkarelasyon and we'll make it appear na the two of you are comfortable acting like that because akala niyo walang media na nakakakuha ng candids." Martin explained.

"Then, Digong. Pwede ka nagreact about the candids on one of your speeches after it gets publicized by the clueless media." Martin followed.

"Murahin mo sila, Digong." Bong joked. "Uy! Di pwede." Leni chuckled.

"Ayun, Digong, can say something like it's private and it's invasion of his privacy ganyan... tapos he could tell the media na magfocus sa presidency niya ganon. Irereverse psychology natin sila." Martin continued.

"Papano naman kung ako yung nainterview?" Leni asked. "Just keep it low, Leni. Hindi ka aamin, you'll not deny as well." Panelo answered. "Oo, stay reserved. Siguro ang mga sagot mo ay something like ayoko pong magsalita tungkol diyan pero sobrang maayos yung relasyon namin ng pangulo. Mga ganon." Martin supported.

"Ah..." Leni uttered. "Okay lang sa'yo, mam?" Digong asked. "Ho— opo naman, sir. Okay na okay. Sainyo ba?" She asked back, he didn't expect her to doubt that he's okay about it. "Of course, okay man sakin mam. Kung ikaw rin naman ang magiging girlfriend ko, what is the reason to complain?" He joked.

"Ayan ganyan!" Marting interjects causing a laughter. "Natural lang pero medyo sweetan natin ng konti. Basta ang point is to appear intriguing and sweet without making them notice na intentional yung pagppakita niyo ng sweetness sa isa't isa. After that, we'll observe the impact to the people." He followed.

"Kami na bahala doon sa pagchecheck. Go lang kayo." Laviña assured.

After a while the meeting ended, they all agreed on the plan and plotted it out smoothly.

Digong walked Leni up until the lobby of the palace like what he used to do as she waited for her van.

"Sabihin ko kila Sara yung tungkol dito, if not tonight, tomorrow. But I won't tell them about the plan. Paalam ko lang sakanila that I am serious about you to earn their blessing. I hope you can come on a dinner with us kapag nasabi ko na." He shares, Leni felt a bit overwhelmed to be introduced to his family.

"Osige po, sir. Basta kayo." She smiled at him. Her van finally arrived.

"Sige po, sir. Mauna na ako." She stated. "Yes, ma'am." He replied, Leni leaned towards him and pressed her cheek on his cheek (beso beso). It slightly surprised him, "Good night, sir." She smiled. "Good night, mam. Ingat." He replied as he watched her ride her van until the door closed.
