Kitchen Handle Trends in Dubai for 2025
The kitchen has been considered the heart of the home for a long time, where design and functionality amicably coincide. Kitchen handles in Dubai are not just mere parts but they are integral design elements that make up the style of any kitchen and enhance the vibe. No doubt, Dubai is at the forefront of changing its landscape for kitchen designs in relations to kitchen handles in Dubai. Whether designing a dream kitchen or upgrading your present space, you would want to make the right decisions based on these emerging trends in kitchen handles in Dubai. Let us dive into the blog and help you make informed decisions when selecting kitchen handles in Dubai.
The Role of Kitchen Handles in Design
Previously considered a design component that could be easily overlooked, the kitchen handles in Dubai are now at the focal point of modern kitchen design. Kitchen handles in Dubai have evolved in line with other design trends within the city, including ultraminimalist, high specification designs and rich opulence. The right handle is not only aesthetically pleasing but also serves a very practical function- to make it easier to open and close doors and drawers while being durable and easy to clean.
Kitchen handles in Dubai are no longer just a mere tool. They have now become a style and sophistication extension for a house or space. Let us explore the top trends defining kitchen handles in Dubai in 2025.
• Sleek and Minimalistic Designs for Modern Kitchens
The dominant trend for kitchen handles in Dubai in 2025 would definitely be minimalism. With open plan kitchens and clutter free spaces at the fore front of its appeal, homeowners tend to favor and choose minimal and modern designs that do not compete with the general aesthetics of the space.
Trend
Slim and linear handles on a bar are an extremely popular choice, providing a clean and seamless look that fits right in with modern cabinets. Recessed handles, where the handle is contained in the door and sits flush with it, are another increasingly trending design, providing a near invisible and integrated effect. Push-to-open systems that do without handles altogether make an increasingly strong case for clean, modern kitchens.
Why they are Trending
People in Dubai need open spaces for their houses, which means a kitchen must look streamlined and minimalist. The modern kitchen is all about functionality without losing any design because these kinds of handles allow the cabinetry to be the focal point.
Example
Long, stainless steel bar pulls added the right touch of industrial feel to a kitchen in a luxury villa set in the Palm Jumeirah, without overwhelming the minimalist design of the kitchen, which was clad in white cabinetry.
• Bold Metallic Finishes
While minimalism is a trend leader, metallic finishes and especially bolder metallics are still gaining momentum in kitchen handles in Dubai. Brushed gold, copper and matte black are some of the hot and best selling finishes among kitchen hardware and it is expected that they would be amongst the list of top hot selling design in kitchen handles in Dubai in 2025. These luxurious finishes add stunning contrast with neutral colored cabinets, creating that perfect visual statement within the kitchen area.
Trend
Matte black, polished chrome, brushed brass and brushed gold are some of the top trending styles. Metallic handles come in either a big feature statement or a subtle addition, depending on the direction to be designed. Examples include matte black being paired well with light cabinetry or darker cabinetry being complemented with gold and brass finishes over deep colored cabinets or rich, dark woods.
Why they are Trending
Metallic accents bring to kitchen spaces in Dubai an air of sophistication. Such finishes stand out and evoke luxury and exclusivity, meaning characteristics that define many kitchen designs within this great city.
Example
Modern Brushed gold handles were brushed against the dark walnut kitchen cabinet of the penthouse apartment in Dubai. Opulence was exemplified in such a contrast. Although the shape was simple for the gold handles, they were the focal point in a generally understated design.
• Integrated Handles with Handle-less Cabinets
Kitchens without handles will continue to become popular in 2025, especially at the high end and futurist type of kitchens in Dubai. Such a trend is pushing for ultra clean lines and the most up-to-date designs as they also feel both cutting edge and timeless. Kitchen handles in Dubai are becoming more integrated, with touch-to-open or push-to-open systems replacing traditional handles.
Trend
Integrated finger pulls built into cabinet edges or touch-release systems that activate with a gentle push. Either will enable you to open the cabinet doors and drawers with minimal use of handle, so they can still achieve a sleek seamlessness to the look.
Why they are trending
These modern house owners in Dubai are rapidly getting accustomed to the thought of a minimalist kitchen where even the concept of kitchen handles would not be obtrusive from the overall design. They blend well and provide a more accessible and easier-to-use product.
Example
The fully-fitted high-gloss kitchen in a luxurious apartment in Downtown Dubai used full-length, flush finger pulls. The handle-less mechanisms added a sophisticated touch to the sleek, unbroken cabinetry that made the kitchen look so clean.
• Natural and Sustainable Materials
Environmental conciousness is increasing in today’s time. because of this the trend for natural and sustainable materials in kitchen handles in Dubai is rapidly growing. Wood, stone and even recycled materials are nowadays being used to create kitchen handles in dubai that align with sustainable needs these days . In 2025, they would be in great demand.
Trend
The trend is towards wood-handled finishes with reclaimed wood, stone-textured knobs, and bamboo bar pulls. These materials are very durable but add warmth and texture to kitchens that usually tend towards sleek polished finishes.
Why they are Trending
Sustainability is on the rise when it comes to design, and consumers are seeking products that reflect their values. Natural materials provide a ground, organic feeling contrasting well with modern kitchen elements as well as contributing to a healthier environment.
Example
In a beautiful villa in Emirates Hills, Dubai, reclaimed wood handles have been merged with light oak cabinetry, combining modernity and sustainability for a warm, welcoming and environmentally conscious space.
Customizable and Personalized Handles
With the trend established by its most influential period, 2025 will signify interior design being personalized, and kitchen handles in Dubai are not different. Custom handles of your taste and personality are becoming highly popular. The homeowner can now choose from a wide array of styles that match his personal choice or can go for bespoke handles allowing one to express his creativity and individuality.
Trend
Custom bar handles, monogrammed knobs and unique materials like leather-wrapped pulls or marble-end handles. Owners can mix and match all the components to create a really, truly one-of-a-kind look.
Why they are Trending
Consumers are looking for how to make their kitchens seem more individual and personalized. Customization presents a perfect solution for homeowners since they can choose the handles that reflect their tastes and overall direction design for their kitchen.
• Intelligent and Innovative Kitchen Handles
The rise of smart homes has influenced every aspect of interior design. In 2025 motion sensor and touch activated handles will be increasingly in trend. Smart handles provide hands-free convenience with hygiene and futuristic touches.
Trend
Touch-sensitive or motion-activated handles, which open with a simple wave or touch, can be found on some high end versions. Sometimes, an LED light is integrated into the handles for extra effect.
Why they are Trending
It is trending because of the technological factor, which nowadays is integrated daily. Such innovation, therefore, brings greater convenience in daily life through kitchen handles. They are hygienically better since one does not directly touch the handle to open the drawers or doors.
Example
In a smart home in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the kitchen has handles that function through motion. They automatically move open when someone approaches. This is a rather futuristic touch for a smart home.
• Colorful Handles for Bold Statements
Bold and vibrant colors are making a statement in kitchen design. Kitchen handles in Dubai make their way in styles available in shades of pastel to bold primary colors. These handles provide an easy way to add some color to this neutral kitchen design.
Trend
Brightly colored ceramic handles, bold-colored handles in vibrant hues, and colorful metallic finishes such as copper or neon are trending.
Why they are trending
It adds energy and personality to a space, especially when paired with minimalist or neutral kitchen designs. The trend allows homeowners to experiment and add a fun twist to their kitchen style.
Example
In a villa in Dubai, the cabinetry otherwise was all white, but vibrant turquoise kitchen handles added fun color points and liveliness to it.

The Benefits of Linear Cove Lighting in Villas
In modern villa design, lighting is not just about illumination; it plays a crucial role in enhancing the ambiance, aesthetic appeal, and overall functionality of the space. Among the various lighting options available, linear cove lighting has emerged as a popular choice for luxury villas, known for its subtle elegance and ability to create a sophisticated environment. Cove lighting, often hidden in recesses, ceilings, or architectural features, provides indirect illumination that enhances the mood of any space. Linear versions of this lighting system are particularly effective in villas, offering a blend of form and function.
In this article, we’ll explore the key benefits of linear cove lighting and why it is an ideal lighting solution for luxurious villa interiors.
1. Elegant and Subtle Illumination
One of the most significant benefits of linear cove lighting is its ability to provide soft, indirect illumination. Unlike traditional overhead lights, which can be harsh or overly bright, cove lighting creates a gentle, ambient glow that enhances the aesthetic appeal of a room without overwhelming it.
Advantages for Villas:
Highlighting Architectural Features: Villas often feature grand architectural details such as high ceilings, ornate crown moldings, or dramatic wall textures. Linear cove lighting, discreetly tucked into these elements, highlights their beauty without drawing too much attention to the light source itself.
Creating a Calm Atmosphere: The subtle, diffused lighting from linear cove fixtures is perfect for creating a calming, luxurious atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, and even bathrooms. In spaces where relaxation and comfort are key, this type of lighting helps set the perfect tone.
2. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
With the growing emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly living, energy-efficient lighting solutions are becoming more desirable. Linear cove lighting, particularly when paired with LED technology, is a highly energy-efficient option for villas.
Energy-Saving Benefits:
LED Compatibility: Linear cove lights are typically used with LED bulbs, which consume significantly less energy than traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs. LEDs use up to 75% less energy and can last up to 25 times longer, reducing both energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Dimming Features: Many cove lighting systems are compatible with dimmers, allowing homeowners to adjust the brightness to their preference. This not only provides flexibility in lighting but also helps conserve energy by reducing unnecessary brightness.
In luxury villas where lighting is often on for extended hours, the energy efficiency of linear cove lighting can result in significant savings on electricity bills while promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
3. Enhanced Spatial Perception and Depth
In larger villas, creating a sense of spaciousness and depth is essential to maintaining the grandeur of the design. Linear cove lighting is highly effective at visually expanding spaces by illuminating walls, ceilings, and architectural features in ways that make rooms appear larger and more open.
How It Works:
Visual Expansion: By casting light upward toward the ceiling or outward across walls, cove lighting creates an illusion of height and width. This makes rooms appear more expansive, which is especially beneficial in living areas, dining rooms, and hallways.
Defining Zones: In open-plan villas, linear cove lighting can be used to subtly define different zones without the need for physical barriers. For example, different levels of brightness or color temperatures in various parts of a room can indicate distinct functional areas, such as a reading nook, dining area, or entertainment space.
4. Customization and Design Flexibility
Linear cove lighting offers incredible flexibility when it comes to design. The light strips can be customized in terms of color temperature, brightness levels, and even hues, depending on the mood or function of the space.
Customization Options:
Color Temperature: Homeowners can choose between warm white lighting for cozy, intimate spaces like bedrooms or cool white lighting for more functional areas like kitchens or home offices. Additionally, modern LED cove lighting systems can change colors to match the desired mood or theme.
Brightness Levels: Linear cove lights can be installed with adjustable brightness, allowing for different levels of lighting throughout the day. Bright light in the morning can energize the space, while dimmer, softer light in the evening creates a more relaxing atmosphere.
Placement Versatility: Whether installed in ceilings, under shelves, or along baseboards, linear cove lighting can be adapted to various spaces and design elements. This versatility makes it suitable for any room in the villa, from living rooms to bathrooms to walk-in closets.
5. Luxury Appeal and Modern Aesthetics
Linear cove lighting has a distinctive, modern aesthetic that complements the luxurious feel of a high-end villa. It enhances the sophistication of the space without being overpowering or obtrusive.
Enhancing Villa Interiors:
Seamless Design: This lighting is typically installed out of sight, which ensures that the focus remains on the design elements of the villa rather than the light fixtures. This seamless look adds to the clean, contemporary feel of modern villa interiors.
Atmospheric Lighting: Villas are often designed to impress and offer a sense of opulence. Linear cove lighting can accentuate these qualities by adding a layer of elegance to the space, making it feel more exclusive and thoughtfully designed.
Conclusion
Linear cove lighting is an excellent choice for villas looking to combine aesthetics with functionality. With its ability to provide subtle, elegant illumination, enhance architectural features, promote energy efficiency, and offer customization options, this lighting solution can elevate the ambiance and comfort of any luxury villa. Whether it’s for highlighting intricate ceiling details or creating a relaxing bedroom retreat, linear cove lighting helps create a well-lit, stylish, and energy-efficient environment.

OBAN Estate, Summerveld Kwazulu Natal
OBAN Estate, Summerveld, High Class Kwazulu Natal Residence, South African Property, Architecture Photos
OBAN Estate in Summerveld Kwazulu Natal
7 Apr 2021
OBAN Estate
Design: Metropole Architects
Location: Summerveld, KwaZulu Natal North Coast, South Africa
Summerveld is located within the lush rolling hills of Shongweni, situated half an hour inland from the port city of Durban, South Africa.
This tight knit horse racing and show jumping community is home to the OBAN Estate, a contemporary residence and equestrian facility named after the Scottish seaside town from where the owner’s family originates.
The point of entry to this 4 hectare (430000 ft²) site involves driving through a raw concrete and corten gatehouse and along a curved, tree lined avenue. This provides an opportunity to catch obscured rhythmic glimpses of the home through evenly spaced Plane trees. Emerging from this leafy tunnel of dappled light, and passing under a low slung cantilevered canopy that opens up into an expansive parking court, signals the arrival at the private residence.
This modern home with brutalist undertones expressed in the structural design, takes on a simple arrangement of monolithic linear forms that project out across the vast manicured lawn and gently sloping paddocks, whilst still managing to position itself comfortably amongst the existing mature trees.
Approaching the home, an organic shaped concrete wall weaves its way above a shallow reflective pond, enthusiastically inviting visitors over a small bridge and through the front door.
On entering the home, the view of the distant horizon vista through an expansive unobstructed 10m (33 ft) opening is simply breathtaking. Simultaneously, the prominent V-column, the ‘googie’ styled floating staircase, and the triangulated coffer slab double volume ceiling, set the tone for what lies ahead.
The open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room area leads onto a fully equipped, covered outdoor living and entertainment area, swimming pool, and 24m (80 feet) long koi pond. A guest suite and combination study/lounge/gym area make up the remaining ground floor spaces.
Whilst functioning as the means to transition floor levels, the feature staircase offers a sculptural backdrop to the double volume space that leads up to the mezzanine landing.
Arriving at the upper section gallery area of the double volume, there is a notable change of atmosphere. The filtered light moving through the wall of vertical screens, as well as a series of 9 symmetrically formationed triangular skylights, collectively create an ethereal and uplifting experience, which always tempts a moment of contemplation. This floor level is made up of two twin suites and a master suite that includes a private lounge/reading area. All the suites are linked by a 28m (92 ft) floor to ceiling glazed passage that can be completely opened up to allow for natural cross ventilating breezes during the humid summer months.
The equestrian component adjacent to the home consists of stables, an oval shaped office, complete with private lounge and bathroom, a 2400m2 (26000 ft²) open showjumping arena surface, arena storage, workshops, and public parking for visitors cars and horse trailers.
Whilst this light weight building departs from the modernist architectural language of the private residence, the shape of the building reinforces the linear form originating from the home.
This steel and sheeted structure houses all the equestrian functions under a single mono-pitch roof, with angular sheeted walls either wrapping downwards, or opening upwards depending on the relative function that occurs within.
In some areas the wrap down is dissolved into horizontal louvre elements that facilitate the sensible balance of natural light and solar control, particularly in the area of the stables. In addition, the early morning and late afternoon shadow patterns generated by the louvres bring a warmth and texture to the robust surface areas.
The design framework for both components of the project was established in the resolution of two fundamental challenges: The first being from a site planning aspect. The residential and equestrian components had to be functionally defined according to their respective private and public usage, whilst at the same time achieving the aesthetic of a single integrated development.
The second being from an architectural aspect. The introduction of a bold modernist structure within a rustic country environment demanded a rigorous design approach. The process pursued an outcome that would present buildings confident in their demeanor, yet respectful of the prominent site that had received them.
Ultimately the aim of this project was driven by a vision to see contemporary architecture, equestrianism, and nature, coalesce into a reality that was inspiring, functional and unique within the context of its spectacular setting

Carrara marble has soft veining and it takes on a blue-Gray background. The Gray background of this Italian marble shows off Gray flecks and linear veining. In comparison to other marbles, Carrara has a more subtle appearance. True to its name, Carrara marble is quarried in northern Tuscany, Italy, in the city of Carrara. The Bhandari Marble Group has more than 100 quarry sites for Carrara marble.
That is more than any other marble quarry in the world! Various well-known monuments and statues were created with Carrara marble, such as Michelangelo’s David, the Pantheon, and London’s Marble Arch. Aside from its structural uses, modern applications for the stone include wall panels, flooring, stairways, and counter-tops.
We carry Carrara marble in both rough, honed, and polished finishes. It’s available in all sizes. Set up a showing.
Calacatta Marble
Italian Calacatta marble has a pure white background with gorgeous, dramatic gold and gray veining. Calacatta does not follow a linear pattern and is often considered one of the most luxurious and pure marbles in appearance. If you’re looking for a heavy veining, this choice is much bolder than Carrara marble, with thicker and larger patterns.
This marble is also quarried in Carrara, Italy. This location causes confusion between Calacatta and Carrara marble, since they are quarried in the same region. Italian Calacatta is a classic look for residential and commercial applications, like its use as elegant Flooring Elevation Decoration Counter-top and carving statues Temples residential and commercial projects, Counter-tops and back-splashes.
We carry Calacatta marble in a rough polished finish. It’s available in the all sizes.
White Statuario Marble Statuario marble is a most exclusive stone with distinct Gray and purple veining throughout and a striking, bold pattern. Statuario marble is considered to be one of the best white marble. Statuario marble contains heavy, bold Gray veining mixed with thinner patterns.
Statuario marble is also quarried in Italy. The mountain quarries of Statuario marble are located above Carrara. Statuario has limited availability and high demand. The low availability of this marble makes it more of a rare find. Italian Statuario marble is an ideal stone for indoor applications such as kitchen counter-tops and back-splashes, bathroom vanities, and floor tiles. Statuario marble should not be used for exterior applications. We Manufacture, Exporter, and Supplier of Statuario marble in a rough, polished finish. It’s available in all sizes.
Note that regardless of the type of Italian white marble you decide to use in your home villa hotel hospital and projects, all Italian white marble should be best before use to reduce the appearance of Light will also occur with all marble mentioned. Since marble is a natural stone it will be always good for health wealth and status.
Italian Carrara, Calacatta, Statuario are the best Italian marble in all-around World

Why Choose Linear Lights for Luxury Villas?
Linear lights are becoming a popular choice for luxury villas because of their sleek design, energy efficiency, and flexibility. Unlike traditional lighting options that can be bulky or outdated, linear lights offer a clean, modern look that fits perfectly with the sophisticated style of luxury homes.
One of the main advantages of linear lights is their ability to provide even lighting throughout a space. Traditional lights can create shadows or uneven brightness, while linear lights ensure a smooth and balanced glow. They are perfect for highlighting architectural details, such as long hallways, high ceilings, or feature walls.
Linear lights are also energy-efficient. Most linear lights use LED technology, which consumes less power and lasts longer than traditional incandescent or fluorescent lights. This means lower electricity bills and less frequent replacement of bulbs.
There are different types of linear lights to suit various needs:
Recessed Linear Lights: Installed in ceilings or walls, these lights are hidden for a clean and seamless look.
Surface-Mounted Linear Lights: These lights sit on top of the surface, offering flexibility in placement and easy installation.
Pendant Linear Lights: Hanging from the ceiling, these lights add a stylish, modern touch to spaces like dining areas or entryways.
Wall-Mounted Linear Lights: Mounted directly on the walls, these lights are perfect for creating accent lighting or highlighting artwork.
With options like dimming, color temperature control, and smart features, linear lights can be customized to fit any atmosphere or function. For luxury villas, linear lights are the perfect combination of style, energy efficiency, and versatility.

10 Design unveils Vietnam’s hidden gem: Hon Thom Island, a new prime beachfront hospitality and leisure destination
International architecture practice 10 Design (part of Egis group) has revealed the concept design for Sun Group’s Hon Thom Island, an iconic integrated resort and hospitality destination along the vibrant Bai Trao Beach in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.
Led by Design Partners José Cláudio Silva and Peter Barrett, the contemporary hospitality destination will boast stunning vistas of the coast and the natural mountain ridge of Hon Thom Island. The luxury resort scheme will be just five minutes within reach of a sandy beach, water sports and beach clubs.
Located in the northwest of Hon Thom Island with uninterrupted ocean views, the resort masterplan unfolds through one kilometre of coastal frontage and across 20 hectares of premium beach and waterfront. The scheme will enhance its connectivity to the wider archipelago through private and VIP marinas, a public jetty and helipad, in addition to a cable car connecting the island to Phu Quoc. The development will also feature an integrated resort tower as well as luxury hotels, beachside and clifftop villas, townhouses and beach clubs boasting panoramic coastal views.
Situated in the Bai Trao District of the Hon Thom Island, the landmark tower is designed to evoke a pair of billowing sails departing into the Gulf of Thailand. Luxury rooms are placed across the curvature of the sails, making the most of the generous views towards the horizon and the lush backdrop of mountain slopes. A double-skin glass facade accentuates the lightness of the sails, establishing a sense of movement and direction throughout the scheme. The public areas such as a viewing deck and gardens are placed on the lower floors, serving as a podium for the integrated resort and connecting the hotel and other hospitality components together.
Luxury and premium residential villas are placed along at the beachfront and are designed to blur the boundaries between nature and architecture through infinity pools, gardens, outdoor decks and direct access to a private beach.
The central commercial beach club is designed in a dramatic circular form with a sky-lit interior atrium nestled into the coastal slopes, together with rustic shingled roofs, exposed woodwork and warm-coloured stones that house public spaces, retail programmes and pool decks.
Townhouse village acts as the destination anchor at the resort’s southern gateway, where a range of residential townhouses and boutique hotels are cascading down the terrain towards the coast. Shaped around the low-rise European coastal town, the village consists of open public squares and grand marinas, tied together by a network of linear parks and coastal promenades that conclude at the adjacent Fisherman’s wharf. The Fisherman’s wharf is reimagined as an extension of the rocky coast, with its glass retail volumes attached to stone blocks seemingly rising out from the sea.
Managing Partner – Asia, Barry Shapiro, commented: “We are excited to complete the masterplan and concept design for Hon Thom Island, which will serve as one of the beachside jewels of the local Phu Quoc region as well as the world-class waterfront hospitality and lifestyle destination. The resort is an important milestone as the first major project completed by our 10 Design Singapore studio, and we will continue to grow our presence in Southeast Asia through expert design and delivery services, to be facilitated by the upcoming expansion of our Singapore team into the new office space.”

The Simplistic Luxury Of Spanish Minimalism
The Simplistic Luxury Of Spanish Minimalism https://bit.ly/37bV17z
A huge leap from the farmhouse settlements of the Ribera Alta’s Muslim & Iberian era, this ultra modern Spanish house design is crisp, linear and minimal. The contemporary population centers have become connected to the big city, and they harbour an aspirational quality of life. Fran Silvestre Arquitectos have achieved simplistic luxury with incredible finesse, despite the limitations of the narrow plot. The house is a clean white volume that interacts with a slim pool terrace and long lawned garden. Interiors are sleek and understated, whispering of luxury and the high life.
Deep cut windows interrupt the smooth concrete modern exterior, making recesses for a second story window and balcony. Massive boundary walls slice into the Medditerannean sky like great white sails.
The boundary wall is also a supporting wall of the house. The upper volume of the build has the illusion of teetering on one thin ground floor column, as the other glass walls fade away to reveal portions of the home’s interior spaces.
On the opposite side of the lawn and some outdoor chaise lounge chairs, the bankruptcies of the plot have been neatly consumed as a gym and storage area. Unembellished doors downplay the added amenities.
The edge of the swimming pool pulls level with the patio. A platform is raised just below the water’s surface as a place to cool down without committing to a dip.
The lower portion of the house is a glowing lightbox at dusk, with bright exterior lighting stretched beneath the cantilevered second story.
The gymnasium and storage block regulates the outline of the manicured lawn, setting it streamlined with the pool and main house.
A single tree makes a majestic visual stop at the end of the corridor-like garden.
A strip light cuts below an overhang to light the exterior walkway and modern outdoor chairs.
The formal dining room awaits just inside of vast retractable glass doors.
With patio doors fully opened, the outdoor sitting area and dining room connect as one fluid living space.
The entire ground floor is a continuum with the garden and swimming pool in full appreciation of the favorable climate.
A glass balcony balustrade at the back of the house opens up a satisfying view of the pool design.
A niche has been set into the boundary wall of the property in order to elongate and complement the balcony cutaway.
Windows along the upper floor are bedded solidly within deep recesses to maintain privacy.
The window openings appear abstract in the art of the minimalist architecture.
Outdoor chairs skim the patio in low profile, flattering the stretched nature of the home and landscape.
A minimalist living room extends through the centre of the ground floor. It’s modern grey sofa disrupts the all white space, along with a black coffee table design. The seating is positioned to direct gaze onto the green garden.
The pure white kitchen installation is offset by stark black bar stools. Cool blue pool water sparkles beyond floor to ceiling glass doors at the back of the room.
Kitchen bar stools stand on both sides of the white island to fashion a social breakfasting spot.
A chunky modern staircase design climbs behind a storage volume off the living room.
An LED strip streams light up the staircase design.
The storage wall by the staircase is accessible from the top floor too. Plentiful cabinets help maintain the clean minimalist aesthetic.
A flush fitted ceiling strip light burns along the landing, reflecting upon gloss white floor tiles.
Inside the bedroom, a unique bed design has drawers in the back of the headboard. The drawers serve a dressing area behind the centrally positioned bed.
Perimeter lights outline the minimalist bedroom.
A closet island fills the floor space next to a huge bank of wardrobes, and links with an ensuite bathroom.
A second bathroom serves the remaining two double bedrooms in the house. It’s fitted with a double sink bathroom vanity and a shower that matches the scale of the master.
The home office is equipped with a double workspace and stacks of storage to tuck away the obligatory supplies and files.
Lighting is restricted to the edges of the ceiling only to maintain the simplicity of the room scheme.
Whilst not identical, the interior floor tiles vibe with their equally pale and similarly sized outdoor counterparts. Floor uniformity promotes easy flow between the living room and garden.
Reflective white finishes keep the interior looking bright and feeling cool.
Light strips are a common theme throughout the whole interior, consistently edging a white on white aesthetic.
A grey lounge chair and black side table float in a wide open white room.
The encased balcony at the back of the house receives and delivers natural light to its connecting room through an open roof.
The fenestration highlights the linearity of the project.
Inspired by the Alejandro de la Sota façade in Tarragona, and the work of Aires Mateus, the home exterior features a point of coincidence between the garage overhang and an upstairs window.
The facade elevates in line with the urban front.
The project links with the big city whilst remaining connected to the territory and its culture.
Ground floor plan, plus outdoor storage facility and gymnasium.
First floor plan, which plots out three double bedrooms. Two face onto the lawn whilst the master bedroom is situated toward pool views.

Luxury Home In A Tropical Habitat
http://cdn.home-designing.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/modern-home-exterior-1-600x400.jpg
Designed for homeowners who wished to live in constant relationship with nature, Casa Entreparotas was built on a site that embraced existing plantlife, and respected the path of a small babbling stream. The 568 square metre home, in Colima, México, is set amongst the dense tropical vegetation, parotas and fig trees. The jungle atmosphere inspired Di Frenna Arquitectos to create a home out of neutral and stony colors, like those of a lost ruin. The build design generates a series of routes that can be used to circulate the vast house, paths that are considerate of the sites wild borders in order to promote daily natural discovery.
The two story modern home exterior is large and imposing, yet the natural vegetation that surrounds it effectively softens its scale and bulk.
Solid concrete volumes are cut through with huge expanses of glass. The volumes interlock to form linear architecture with a flat roof, whilst the green hill slopes organically below.
Graphite coloured walls break up the lighter lines of raw material, creating visually interesting areas of light and shade across the face of the building.
Exterior lights draw attention to the concrete overhangs that help shade the interior of the home from the sun’s direct rays. The outdoor spotlights construct an alluring mystique around the building.
LEDs highlight a layered pool design, where mini waterfalls rush and bubble.
A lush lawn glows emerald green in the garden lights, and the branches of parotas and fig trees lean dramatically into the radiance.
The shallow concrete steps of an outdoor staircase climb through a rising bed of tropical shrubs, hovering just above the uppermost leaves.
The pool design echoes the staggered risers of the outdoor staircase, with shallow platforms that drop beneath the last as they descend the hill.
The concrete structure reflects the unwavering strength of the habitat.
The architecture takes a step back to praise what is outside, and nature rushes up to meet it.
Small gardens intertwine with the projecting volumes, to blur the borders.
The first floor balcony is equipped with its own staircase down to the forest floor.
The luxurious dining room and living room are wide open double height spaces on the lower floor of the building. This light filled heart of the home is a glass box that feels gloriously linked with the tropical beauty that can be seen in its full magnificence. A high shine stone floor reflects the bright daylight that pours in through the glass, causing an effect much like the atmospheric moving bodies of water that grant closer links with the garden.
The internal main staircase seems to climb all the way to the treetops as it ascends past towering planes of glass.
At the top of the staircase, the amazing green views continue. Natural light rushes into an elongated corridor that leads to the bedrooms. Glass balustrades exaggerate the open perspective of the landing by presenting views down to the double height ground floor.
Black steel builds the skeleton of the home.
The front entry of the home is much smaller and unassuming in comparison to how the structure opens out at the back of the property, where it becomes a jungle wonderland.
The face of the house is clean and simplified, with just a tame plant bed by the house number on the side. An inviting stone path steps around the side of the house, pushing through brush and the shade of taller trees.
The steel structure presents spaces that can be free of walls.
Steel balustrades have been fabricated for the taller exterior staircase and the balcony. The black coated steel makes a rich partnership with the deep tone of the parota wood that characterises the home inside and out.
A sheltered outdoor dining room stands completely open to the dense tropical habitat toward the rear of the build.
Elevated platforms provide a viewpoint to the horizon. Greenery overhangs the stony grey structures. In time, the aging home will gracefully allow itself to become more and more claimed by the nature that it has momentarily interrupted.
The mixed structure of concrete and steel achieves homogeneity with the artisan workmanship of stone walls and parota wood.
The parota wood seen on exterior overhangs continues into the interior volumes of the home, covering huge ceilings from edge to edge. The spotlights too are a feature that is implicated both inside and out to maintain flow and peaceful uniformity.
Glass walls open the home to green views all the way around.
At night the home lights like a great beacon.
Ground floor plan with thriving tropical vegetation across sloping terrain. A driveway is situated at the front entrance of the home, with a car parking area large enough for two to four vehicles. We can see here that the main living room area is equally split between the lounge arrangement and dining room setup, with a large kitchen installed across the back of the open plan.
First floor plan illustrating the master suite at one end of the long landing. The other end of the landing enters an upstairs lounge area, which in turn gives access to the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms.
Side elevation with large exterior staircase that leads to and from the private quarters on the first floor.
Side elevation.

Gorgeous Modern Indian Villas With Courtyards
These two stunning modern Indian villas, created by architect Moriq, each feature peaceful courtyard designs within them. One has a combination of green space and a multi textured floor, which acts as a border of privacy between the entryway to the home and the main family living area. The second features a pivotal water body that greets the family when they come home, and welcomes in guests. A connective bridge between living volumes on the the first floor overlooks the reflection pool and lawn, and a projector screen that provides outdoor entertainment. The two tours also feature impressive interior spaces that are steeped in contemporary elegant luxury.
Villa number one is located in Hyderabad, with an area of 7500 square feet. The build follows the traditional Hindu Vastu shastra system of architecture, and has been fashioned to fit a single family. The linear north facing plot has an open plot to the south; neighbours are at home on the east & west sides. A simple white concrete modern home exterior guards the hidden luxuries within.
Just outside of the front gate, there is a boulder with the name of the house upon it, written in Hindi. The name given to the house is ‘Shanti Dham’, meaning ‘a peaceful holy place’.
Once beyond the gates it is clear to see why the home is thought a peaceful and holy place for the homeowners. A combination of simplicity and understated luxury shapes the home, and allows the family to remain grounded and be close to nature. It is a direct translation of the personality of the well travelled and elegant couple.
A tree from the neighbour’s compound has been integrated into the landscape design.
The main feature of the home is the modern courtyard design that lies between the front yard and the living room. Because this is a north facing plot by vaastu principles, the living space had to be placed to the north east side. Any entry from the north east side would encroach on the family’s privacy, so the interior courtyard between the front garden and the lounge was introduced as a buffer zone.
The courtyard design imitates the natural landscaping that surrounds the home.
The courtyard floor is made up from interlocking sections of wood effect tiles. white marble slabs, pebbles and natural stones from Pondicherry. Custom louver doors make up the boundary, composed from MS frame and natural wood.
The ground floor consists of a dining room, a dry and wet kitchen with utility and storage space, and one of the bedrooms with an attached deck area.
Mature trees have been retained in every part of the natural space.
An outdoor dining space is available for use just outside of the interior kitchen diner.
The modern dining room extension runs straight off of the kitchen island.

First floor layout, including a living area, three bedrooms, a study with balcony, and a puja room for worship.
Second floor layout, including a home theatre, gym, lift lobby, powder room and a generous open terrace.
Our second tour also takes place in Hyderabad, this time in a home with a total area of 17006 square feet. The massive plot facilitates a home design that brings together a large joint family, whilst still providing each member with their own personal space.
The most challenging part of the planning stage for the family was to come up with a solution that would best use the large linear shape of the plot. In the end, the first quarter of the plot was allocated to the family elders who requested an independent studio apartment so that they could have a space of their own.
A reflection pool fills the connective exterior space, along with green landscaping. The beautiful vista welcomes you to the family home.
Concrete slabs are arranged in an irregular design in the water filled courtyard. The patio is lit around the edges to accentuate its jagged shape.
Boulders jut out of the still waters, and create a border around a lush lawn.
Brothers live with their families right across the lawn from each other. A semi-formal living room, complete with a bar, opens onto the lawn to create a prime social gathering spot. There is also a projector here that converts the lawn’s wall into a large screen – perfect for parties and the IPL cricket season. The projection wall can be viewed from various points in the house, including a bridge that connects both the houses.
Beautiful bespoke pieces fill the home with a rustic meets luxury aesthetic.
Neutral backdrops fill the spacious interiors, which bask in sunlight.
The neutral palette is uplifted with colourful home accessories, like bright blue and green scatter cushions in the living room. Stunning wooden pendant lights descend from a double height ceiling. A unique fan cools the air from an architectural support column.
Unique nesting coffee tables bring in an eclectic vibe, and work perfectly with a patchwork concept rug.
A modern accent chair is framed by a beautiful tree in the courtyard. Informal living and dining areas and a guest bedroom fill the rest of the ground floor.
Upstairs, identical double height master bedrooms and bathrooms are situated right next to each other.
A swing arm wall lamp illuminates the bathtub, which stands on a bed of white pebbles.
Double vanities are located behind a partially dividing wall.
A motorised sun roof can be opened above the tub.
The bathing area is open plan to the bed. There is also a double story closet space in the master suite, to facilitate a progressive wardrobe.
Cool distressed walls and metal framework create an industrial style bedroom. A Flos Mod 265 style lamp extends over the crisp modern bed. Original is available here.
A duo of bedroom pendant lights hang beside a curvaceous bed inside this suite. A modern lounge chair fills the window.
The daughters room sits across from the master bedroom suites, with a small informal seating area in between. Colourful poufs and a teepee make playful decor. The bed features a study area beneath. See more ideas for kids’ beds.
Stone tiles texture the powder room.
The staircase design follows the industrial trend.
The bridge walkway that connects the first floors is furnished with inviting soft sofas, which make a sociable evening tea spot for members of the extended family.
Exterior lighting keeps the volumes connected by night.
Potted plants colour the white concrete exterior space.
