First one is for Arue- her sunshine in the storm, the gentle, brave woman who fills Piper's life with love. She's still amazed they get to be together, and she wouldn't trade their love for the world

And one for Woljif! Piper's best friend; they understand each other on a level nobody else does, and they accidentally help each other become better just by being there

For someone who's been alone so much of her life, Piper can't help but feel blessed to have those two in her life

Shatter Me - Lindsey Stirling, Lizzy Hale

This song specifically makes me think of Piper in the Abyss, storming the Fleshmarkets and freeing everyone she can, solidifying the change in her alignment from Chaotic Neutral to Chaotic Good. It's suitably dramatic and the violin here makes for some great bard battle music!

Free - Florence + The Machine

And this one just seems like a nice closing song! Very suited for Piper, especially as she embraces herself and her life, with all the good and bad that comes with it

what are your hcs for the anubis kids after school/college? like, what do you envision for their future?

I def have answered a question like this before but I don’t remember what I said/cant find the post so I’ll answer it again 😂 great question!!

Nina: It’s a pretty popular headcanon that she became a novelist, and passed off her adventures at Anubis as her own fictionalized work. I really like this theory, but I also think she probably is also a full-time chosen one. Now that she served her purpose, there’s just this somewhat clairvoyant girl with ghost-sight walking around and I feel like gods/spirits probably flock to her to have her solve their issues.

Fabian: I think he is definitely in academia, but Brad thinks he may have gone into medicine. I don’t really see that for him, though, so I think he became a professor of history at a university somewhere. Either that, or he works in archaeology like his Dutch counterpart canonically does.

Amber: The reunion “canonized” that she made a ton of money from her fashion line, so homegirl is a successful fashion designer.

Patricia: I think she went to law school and became a lawyer. She argues like no one else, and she was also always the person at anubis house who people looked to to give an unbiased ruling on a situation. I also was always obsessed with the idea that she became a guidance counselor based on that one line Fabian has in S2. It would just be so funny.

Joy: She is an event planner. Need I say more? That girl can get the job DONE.

Jerome: I think he went to work for Alfie’s dad, and is slowly climbing the corporate ladder. Maybe one day he’ll be a CEO, but for now he’s just doing what he loves: business.

Alfie: Alfie is lowkey grateful Jerome took the burden of inheriting the company off his hands, because ei think he goes into the art world in some capacity. He canonically has such talent that I think he’d make it. Maybe he owns a gallery!

Mara: I go back and forth because she could have easily been a neurosurgeon but she also would thrive in academia. Maybe she’s a professor of medicine or something.

Eddie: He’s the hardest to pin down for a job tbh. Some people think cop (ew, no) or firefighter (which is fine), but I’ve always loved the idea of him being a high school/secondary school teacher. Maybe he teaches French and is also the P.E. teacher? Maybe even at the school the show is set in.

KT: I think bestie became an actress. She also does freelance photography on the side.

Willow: Willow definitely runs a new age yoga studio, and makes hella cash.

Mick: I think he went into sports in some capacity, maybe as a professional athlete or a big-name coach.

1. Charlie Be Quiet! by Charlie Puth I've been listening to this song on repeat since I saw Charlie's videos of how he created it on Instagram. It's such an aurally pleasant song. The way he whispers, "Charlie Be Quiet" and then how the beat gets super loud. The play of volume with the lyrics is just amazing.

2. Shatter Me Featuring Lzzy Hale by Lindsey Stirling I discovered this song probably 6 or 7 years ago when I was in college. I went through this tear of needing music to study by and was absolutely obsessed with pop songs that used orchestral instruments. I still really love that combination so this is a song I still listen to on repeat all the time.

3. Hurricane - Arty Remix by Halsey,ARTY

I too went through Halsey-Mania back in 2016 when Closer was trending all over the place. I was also kind of obsessed with EDM. So Hurricane made its way onto my playlist and just never left. I also adore the lyrics. "I'm a wanderess, I'm a one night stand Don't belong to no city, don't belong to no man I'm the violence in the pouring rain I'm a hurricane" Come on! Amazing female power lyrics imho.

4. Overdrive by Conan Gray

This is a new-ish addition to the list. The beat, the lyrics? I love all of it. It's my new gym track. I put it on repeat when I need to psych myself up to finish a rep or set.

5. Getaway Car by Taylor Swift

I mean... I wrote an entire fic based off of this song. I love it. The vibes? They're immaculate. I know it's about a failed relationship and uses themes of criminals like Bonny and Clyde to show exactly how doomed the relationship is, but I still love it.

6. Super Tuna by JIN

Bwahahaha. This one is hard to explain. I love BTS. And I love this song. It's super catchy, considering how it's about catching tuna. 🎣🎣🎣

I'm an ARMY lol. I love BTS, and in particular I love this song. It's a tongue-in-cheek ditty from BTS reminding ARMY (their fandom) that it's alright to be their fan, but being their fan shouldn't detract from your responsibilities.

An amazing song about finding love in the most unexpected places. Like your best friend.

10. Take My Breath Away by Berlin

Here's that Top Gun Brain-rot once again. Like, I watched TG:M last year and then had to re-listen to the TG 1986 soundtrack and this song grabbed hold of me and would not let go. So here we are.

Hi Everyone!! Here are some more next gens for my Blossom Love AU. Ashton's parents are Thrasher and Swoon Song, Hailey's parents are Blastus and Piper and Blaze's parents are Megawatt and Tacklebot. Ashton is a very shy and not very social pony but loves to hangout with his friends Hailey and Blaze. Ashton is the studious type and has never failed a single test or quiz in his life. Hailey is super bubbly and loves being social like going to parties, Movie Nights, ETC. she tries her hardest to get Ashton out of his shell but it's a "Easier Said Than Done" situation. Blaze isn't your typical jock and doesn't really care for sports or the competitive nature that sports usually has. he loves fashion design and is always there for his friends. BTW, this is Blaze's older design and I already posted his newer design. Oh, Evelyn. Charming, desperate, manipulative, cynical. She knows how harsh the world can be, and she's not going to be apologize for what she does to survive it. She's protective of the people she trusts, and she doesn't let herself trust many people. Piper's most cynical moments are heavily inspired by Evelyn!

Satine - Moulin rouge

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend."

I think Piper's stage persona, especially in her younger days, is a lot like the stage persona that Satine puts on. She's an enchanting performer and can draw a lot of shallow admiration, but it's a precarious position and she's still very lonely behind the scenes.

(Sad stuff aside, Piper would give a fabulous performance of every song in this musical)

Lindsey Stirling - Between Twilight Music Video

This one is purely aesthetic- Lindsey Stirling was already a big visual inspiration for Piper, and her look in this video is simply perfect. The hair, the dress, the violin- even the fairy light she follows through the forest has Azata vibes that work so well for Piper!

Orpheus & Eurydice - Hadestown

At first glance, Piper takes a lot more from Eurydice- she's lost, lonely, hungry for a better life. Orpheus's idealism is appealing to her, but so is the cold pragmatism of Hades.

But beneath that, Piper also has a lot of Orpheus in her- she's a bard, yes, but she's also very devoted to the people she decides to care about, and when push comes to shove she'll start a whole revolution in their name. When she loves, she loves with her whole heart- but there's also that seed of doubt and insecurity that would make her turn around at the last moment.

Sophie Devereaux - Leverage

"What kind of world would it be if everyone who committed a silly little crime went to jail? Complete madness!"

I love Sophie so, so much; she's the world's most charming grifter, and is always such a delight. She's a more hopeful version of some of the previous inspirations here- she still has that loneliness in her past, and that uncertainty with who she is beneath all the lies she's told. But she's found herself a new family of people who love her, and she's using the illicit skills of her past to do good and help people who need it. Sophie provides a lost of inspiration for Piper's best version of herself!

Aladdin - Aladdin

"riffraff, street rat, I don't buy that / If only they'd look closer"

Another more hopeful inspiration- someone who, like Piper, has had to fend for themselves and deals with not ever feeling good enough, and who lies their way into actually becoming a hero.
