S N E A K Y S N. A C K Y 80s children Chef Min Seak Kang (right) and art director June Kwon have created the era they grew up in South Korea and pulled together Sneaky Snacky. Chef Kang (ex Sugar Club) has created all the foods of his growing up era, when Seoul hosted the Olympics. June also created the Sneaky Snacky retro graphics. After a successful month-long pop-up at Ostro, Sneaky Snacky opened inside the Lim Chhour food hall, 184 Karangahape Road. Uncle is on a fried chicken binge this week, after the ayam goreng at Mutiara and spicy chicken don at Bian. Look no further than the Nashville style fried chicken wings served on a housemade old school doughnut that’s sweet glazed and dusted with icing slight. Chef Kang says the doughnut is a foil to the fried chicken and absorbs some of the inevitable oil that is so necessary for fried chicken. The chicken has been marinaded overnight in Sriracha, ginger & garlic purée, white and rice vinegar.
