I find it kinda hilarious that, in the original Ghost Bride book by Yangsze Choo, Lim Tiang-ching at first tries to “woo” Li Lan in her dreams ---

But in the TV series, he just straight up tries to scare the bejeezus out of her from the get go

Great series though, I loved it when it came out in Jan. 2020. Wish it would get a second season. This is a great time of year to watch it, too, since it’s actually set around the time of the Chinese holidays “7 7 festival” and “Hungry Ghost Month” which this year takes place in late August

I started writing a oneshot for KinnPorsche bc goddamn that trailer is everything I want in a drama but my muse, who has been absent and on extended sabbatical for YEARS, shows back up halfway through creating the outline and demands I go write The Ghost Bride AU that I’ve had in my notes since it aired on Netflix.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m ecstatic to be writing anything right now bc I’ve been in such a slump the last few years but I’ve got two competing stories in my head for two very small fandoms and while I have people to flail over KinnPorsche with I don’t have anyone to flail with over The Ghost Bride.

P.S. if you *havent* watched the KinnPorsche Trailer and BL dramas are your thing, stop right now, do not pass go, do not collect $200, simply go to YouTube and type in KinnPorsche The Series and sit back for the next 9 minutes of heaven. And then come cry with me because it’s going to be August before it comes out.

P.P.S if by some miracle there are Tian Ching fans out there let alone Tian Ching/Li Lan shippers out ther please also come scream at me.
