MCYT Fanfic Recommendations Part 3

I’m back with some more fanfics, hopefully I don’t have any repeats. This time around I have more dreamnap fics and of course I have more karlnapity fics. There are definitely more royalty/knight AUs in this list so hope you enjoy that lmao. Without further ado, let us begin:

When the Sunlight Dies by (bramble_patch (Marianne_Dashwood), personalized_radio

Sapnap was at his wits end. It has been three months since the coup attacked the castle, leading to the disappearance his best friend and the bounty for the prince’s head. As Prince George’s knight, it was his duty to protect the prince no matter what happened. Well, that would be easier said than done if George would stop wandering off and getting captured so often. At least it gets a little easier when two guides join their group. 

A Karlnapity and Dreamnotfound royalty AU fanfic that has a lot of angst in it, but a wonderful plot. It’s a very long fic with a whopping 171,200 words, but it was worth reading all of it. There is discussion of abuse, kidnapping, violence, death, and many other triggering topics so heed the tags. Additionally, there are warnings in the notes at the beginning of every chapter. 

Time Forgotten by writingtheend

With just a few journals and books in hand, Karl heads out west to discover more stories he can write about and learn more about the wild terrain. Along the way he runs into two bandits, more specifically Mason and Jack. They take a liking to Karl and, despite the two “robbing” him, Karl takes a liking to them as well. Despite the odds, the two bandits keep on running into Karl, even under the most unfortunate circumstances. And maybe, for once, Karl will stay. 

A Karlnapity, Wild West AU that is complete! The characterization and the writing is spectacular. I was trying to find more wild west AU fanfics and just happened to stumble upon this gem. There is period-typical violence, but other than that not too many warnings. 

The Prince is Dead by elytralove

Prince Sapnap was dead. At least, that’s what the kingdom knew. In reality, Prince Sapnap was very much alive, albeit very much exiled. After running away from the castle, Sapnap is eventually found by his knight, George. Before George is able to take the prince back to face trial, he and Sapnap share a night at an inn, discussing what they mean to each other.

A Sapnotfound, royalty AU which I enjoyed a lot due to the characterization and the fluffy bits in the middle. The way the author balanced the right amount of fluff and angst was just *chefs kiss.* There’s very little violence and little to no other warnings but once again, check the tags.

The Ones For Me by Lilhappy

Karl and Sapnap first met in high school when Sapnap indirectly saved Karl from a bully. They had never talked before and after that incident they never did. That is until they run into each other at university. It is also there they meet Quackity for the first time. Aka a little look into how Sapnap, Karl, and Quackity all learned to love each other.

Another Karlnapity fanfic that seems to be apart of a series. There’s some slightly suggestive bits so if you’re uncomfy with that I would probably avoid lol. Either way, it’s a good read and I would definitely recommend.

Dream fought for the empire because he was in debt to it. After all, it gave him shelter, water, food... It also gave him a purpose. So he fought in the wars, fought for the place that gave him a home. However, that loyalty to the empire started to dwindle when he meets a man from the citadel named George. 

A Dreamnap, endgame Dreamnotnap knight AU. I loved the tarot card motifs that split the different moments in Dream’s life, it’s really cool to see and read. There’s period-typical violence, death, war, etc. so heed the tags.

After faking his death during the war, Prince Sapnap found himself on the run. He tried not to stay in one place for very long because deep down he knew he was always being hunted. The kingdom had sent their best man to find him and Sapnap should know. After all, the man was his knight. With his knight turned assassin on his trail, Sapnap is forced to face Dream and their past. 

A Dreamnap royalty and assassin AU because I am not only a sucker for royalty AUs but assassin AUs as well akjdhfkjsdkjf. There’s quite a bit of period-typical violence as well as some stabbing so heed the tags.
