Dark brown eyes took a gander towards the older fellow he was playing another round of cards with, another Gambler whose luck seemed to be winning them the hand or so it appeared. The casino was nothing short of elaborate and flashy to the extreme, a rainbow of flashing colors and gold matching maroon pillars etched in criss-crossing rivulets of white. The carpets alone would cost a few pretty pennies and that was the cheapest thing about this place, the lights overhead might as well be flashes of gold raining down with how spotless every metallic flourishing was. Truly, it was an ornate palace to toss one’s own life earnings in a shallow attempt to win the Big One.. but unlike the rest of these unwitting folks; Twisted had his own pot of luck to draw some ‘Favorable’ cards from.

Another stack of chips pushed forward with a lax hand, the other rising to fix his own shirt collar. The shadows cast over the upper half of his face by that hat of his shrouded a quirk of his brow, craning his head towards the other man even if the gesture was useless. Far as Twist had seen, the man was blind. It was almost laughable to hear of a blind man biding his time in a place like this where the underhanded flick of a wrist brought men to fame or ruins. Lucky it should be Twisted Fate wasn’t the one dealing the cards at the table. Several had been passed to him, faced down in wait to be picked up by finessed hands.

  Give My Muse Flowers! - [Not Accepting] @lilalolopu

   The featherlight petals brush against her skin as she takes the small bundle of flowers into her arms wordlessly, the long blooms spilling over in her gentle hold, waving delicately in the light breeze. Her gaze is fixated on them, drawn downwards by both their simple beauty and of the feelings that well up inside her with no place to go like a bird resting it’s head against the bars of it’s confinement, those of which made solely out of the ivory bones of her aching ribcage. 

   She didn’t understand him- didn’t understand the ideals that seemed to be floating around inside his head.  They were polar opposites the two of them- their sides at war with one another, his most of all responsible for the hell she’d been living in for the past twenty years. The very side that had cast her aside as a demon. So why- Why was he being so kind to her? All she knows is that with such a heavy heart, she doesn’t have the strength in her to dwell on it for now.

   So, instead, she simply buries her nose into the blooms, a tear slipping down her cheek as she closes her eyes.
