awww this is cute! i'd definitely be called mossy, a lil mossy fairy and def live in an old tree w my lil cow friend! my fave xmas movie is the national lampoon one! i've been obsessed with the last of us and lately been zipping thru the book series the enemy by charlie higson (i have a zombie obsession)! the last item of clothing i bought is a wide knitted sweater that has multi colored stripes! my fave italian dish is a prosciutto, burrata, n arugula pizza <3 and yeeees i love liquorice!

sighs okay wait i wanna explain my design for him really quick. keep in mind this was done without references available to me and based off of recollection so this isn't the fully steamed out design (if i do fully steam it out and polish it)

First of all the aspects I wanted to keep was the glasses, the fairy theme, being christmas based, & winter, but a lot of it i just. didnt? i think there was a lot of missed potential w the ideas they had, and if they went down another route I could've forgiven them for the christmas theme

For the glasses I changed them to be more oval shaped & have chains(?) hanging off of them, one that hangs down to have a little mistletoe charm w leaves and one that goes back. like those grandma glasses chains but in a classy wine aunt way. i wanted him to look a little less "bobble the tinkerer" and a little more "knowledgeable" because he is a grown man & i think he deserves to look a bit more mature?

I made his hair softer in its texture and made it more similar to his original hairstyle, but added some curl and volume to make him feel more festive. the way a performer would style their hair, but i wanted it to have a nice airy flow, similar to clouds. to make him look generally more gentle in his demeanour and still keep his look but have a diff hairstyle, instead of having that middle part. i think the added texture gives it a bit more freedom and shape, and i understand there's limitations to the idv style, but i think lifting his hair away from his face a bit and adding some layers wldve fixed it. in my art idea, his hair is a light colour, thinking like a white or at the very least a platinum blond

i also wanted 2 keep him as a fairy or at least smth similar!! so instead i made him a snow faerie rather than an elf/pixie (even though pixie/fairy roughly can translate to 'elf' in german, and victor is almost certainly german even if it isn't confirmed). snow faeries are a nature spirit of December, and i referenced my book of shadows for this. bc vic is germanic and has had germanic & nordic tradition and culture referenced previously in his character and designs (In the Embrace, he's clearly celtic + nordic) I figured it'd be more fitting to make him more themed around paganism & yule aspects rather than christmas. they're very similar due to history but i think adding that small bit of witchery & culture helps distinguish him from "Christmas outfit" to "Festive costume", which can reallt help make a design stand out imo? especially when they're going w a fairy thing. The shitty little small wings I think just made him look more... childish, than whimsical, which is unfortunate. i wanted to keep him as a snow faerie bc i felt it was only fitting he got a bit of festive whimsy but i wanted to make it feel a little more mature n less like a kid wearing those wing backpack thingamabobbers

so yes he got big old icy n frosty wings that i think will be slightly similar to frosted stained glass in my coloured/polished version (if i make one) and not little pixie wings. he gets to be a big faerie today

^ so adding onto that, i completely changed his outfit. i just. dont like it. and i wanted him to fit my snow faerie germanic & celtic boy. i gav rhim a little corset bc i think he was missing a bit of stuff around his waist & shit in my original concept (where he did not have that), and gave him an ornamental lil snowflake thing to tie into it. i think it's a liytle tacky in my original concept but I'll probably refine on it a little more. i gave him two belts simply to add some asymmetry, a golden bell (both in reference to the 'bronze bell' that acted as a cue for him and wick as a postman, but also bc bells r a common theme in holidays) to one waist n a lil pouch to thevother. he also got a waist/legs harness bc i think it was a lil plain on his legs and just lacked some flavour.

he also got a hat!! a furry hat w two lil horns bc i thought they were cute and i wanted to add a bit of detail. it has a fur rim n is a lil bit more like a beret (? im not sure what hat types are, but it's relatively flat. maybe more of a toque) than a santa hat. i havent drawn the back so i cant decide what patterns he has on that

and the big bushy fur coat was simply bc... well i think it made him look nice n cozy n a lil bit like a rich wine auntie. and i think personally he deserves to be a bit of a wine auntie for this season. after getting dumped on a bridge as a kid, having ur only friend die when ur 15, getting involved in the mob, n being nearlt murdered by an embalmer? maybe he deserves a drink on his bday!!! he deserves to be an expensive n prissy wine auntie!!! it's still HIS day even if nobody wants to spend it w him bc they're all celebrating w their family. he gets to be spoiled i think n a big fur coat that gives him a super large n fluffy frame is absolutely vital to lookign rich n expensive w ur tastes. plus he's also a snow faerie, and faeries (not fairies, very different) are known to be a little tricky (and at times, can be a bit entitled, the clever beings that they are)

he also wears heeled boots bc he's got little digitigrade feet and it'd be a more "natural" sole for him than flat feet, bc digitigrade paws don't ever go fully on yhe ground unless they're laying down. this is more just for my fun little silliness n brainrot bc he gets little paw pads n i think that's an absolutely beautiful thing but it's totally vital to my design. the boots obviously have a fur trim to match with everything else n snowflake decals on them to boot!!!

additionally he's meant to have his arms n hands fade to black to sorta represent frostbite in a way, and also bc it's a very classy (and albeit, very common trope, but it's common for a reason) way to make him look a little more sinister(?). unfortunately these (like his feet) r also covered by big ol mittens but i think the mittens r super cute so they get to stay bc they match everything else

additionally i just made him an expensive wine aunt who wld have those little tiny house sets but like a whole village n the fake train n like 5 different christmas trees (all themed) for the holiday season as well as like a thousand yule logs & candles (vanilla or pine scented, of course) around his house. he's obviously drinking a very expensive domaine de la romaneé-conti wine & eating homebaked goods all the while. it wouldn't be a wine aunt winter faerie w/o the most expensive wine he can get his lil clawed hands on if he wasn't spoiling himself for his bday

anyways that's it n as u can tell im a little?? brain thinker when it comes to victor grantz idv. btw i think he'd be called possibly Deorwine or Félagi :3 if he wasn't just called Victor

hello to my faithful idvers who r just as anguished and dismayed by how ugly victors s tier is. i was quite disturbed and petrified when i saw it. anyways i made him a snow faerie these doodles r a lil shitty but he's made for my wine aunt victor agenda

idk. i think my main gripes w it are the general tackiness of it and the way it just clashes? i think it'd be cute, but not for him. not saying my design is objectively any better but i DO think it at least fits how my victor is headcanoned to look, so it's at least arguably a little better in that aspect

I'm jus saddened that he got christmas merched again for hsi second s tier when he's got sooo much cool potential bc of how silent they r about his lore and character. there's so much they could've done n a lotta potential methinks. generally a lot of his lore is incredibly quiet n we only recently had gotten information on his actual background but a lit of it is kept inconclusive. bc we dont know a lot ab the mob he was in & definitively why he acts the way he does about things other than his mom supposedly told him a certain thing when he was young..maybe im overreading but i think the fact he got a shitty s tier as another "Christmas bday = ez christmas money" thing is just sad

"There is something so magical about fresh fallen snow. It brings people together while time stands still as snowflakes dance in the winter winds."

Your faux fur lined winter boots enveloped your calves as you crunched through the blanket of white. They detonated like Christmas crackers every time your feet hit the ground. The forest around was imprisoned in an unspoken silence. Nothing sounded, nothing stirred, nothing sang in soft melodies of nature. Winter had bared its teeth and had come and gone. Its harsh winds had stripped the last leaves from the trees, leaving them naked and raw in a cold environment. They were wrapped in their ivory coats now, faltering slightly under the weight of the snow. Occasionally, a great limb would creak, crack and collapse, erupting in echoes and reverberating through the tunnels of wooded fingers. Other than that, a pure serenity clothed the forest. There was no dawn chorus, no symphony of sound, no orchestra of chirps. The world was in a dome of quiet, winter’s clutch had stifled all life.

“Tora, where are you taking me?” your eyes were shielded but his tan beanie pulled down to your nose. Gloved fingers interlaced as he weaved you through the branches and limbs down an undistinguished path.

High above, the last of the morning stars were winking out. They flashed their last shine, like opaque grains of sand in the dawn sky. Slated greys dipped and twirled through the horizon into plum purples. A white winter moon hung low, slipping down to greet the warming sun, turning to trade places as the hours dwindled to morning.

“It’s a surprise y/n! Don’t worry, I’ll lead you safe and sound. I don’t want the surprise to be ruined!” he enthusiastically spoke, as he squeezed your hand through the fabric. “Just a few more steps, I promise”

After almost falling, due to a dug-out hole neither of you were expecting, Kazutora stopped. Placing his hands firmly on your shoulders to keep you in place, he leaned around from behind you placing a feathered kiss on your cheek, “You can pull up the hat now! We’re here!”

You pulled the beanie away from your eyes and were met with the most beautiful sight, a sparking winterscape of silver and white. A small pond stood of frozen polished glass, reflecting the light of the horizon as icicles dangled from the branch above like shimmering fingers. Fluttering snowflakes danced around you, like fairies in their airy silence, glinting like diamond dust. The sun slowly warmed the world and the ice began to drip, creating a waterfall chorus, splashing against the cracks that began to create an entrance for the blue below. All around you shadows of snow danced through pale oranges and soft yellows that started to separate the winter clouds, sifting through like angel fire.

“Tora, this is so beautiful! How did you ever find a place like this?” You turned and were met with his loving smile that cascaded through his cheeks that were decorated in faint freckles. His golden eyes held your own as he put his hand into his pocket and fell to one knee.

“I found it looking for the perfect place to show you that you are my perfect other. I couldn’t imagine a life without you, y/n. We’ve been through so much together and you’ve always been so patient with me, showing a gentle love and I want that forever- I want forever with you. Will you marry me?”

Your hands flew to cover your mouth, awe struck as small tears dotted your lash line. The only movement you could muster was the nod of your head which was enough for Kazutora to stand, his knee damp from the wet snow it once sat atop. Grabbing your left hand, he placed a small sapphire stone encapsulated by white gold and surrounded by smaller diamonds, onto your finger. It was raw and beautiful, shining in the lights that surrounded. A gust of wind picked up small flurries and cocooned around the two of you as warm lips mounded to each other. A perfect puzzle piece fit as your souls whispered and connected as if it was the first time.

He leaned his forehead against yours, “I love you and I can't wait for our life together”, he whispered as nature rejoiced, rupturing the once timid silence.

         Christmas day, he dragged her out of bed first thing in the morning, way earlier than even he would usually rise, already all washed up and impeccably groomed, dressed in dapper human world clothes. Tailored pressed pants, slim fit turtleneck sweater, double breasted long coat and Dr. Martens winter boots, he was in stark, unrelieved black today, and cut a sleek, elegant figure.          When she emerged finally presentable enough to be seen out amongst the general public once more, changed and face scrubbed pink, he handed over her first present. A puffy, cotton padded winter parka with a soft, luxurious faux-fur lined hoodie, in her favorite color. The season was cold and he was tired of watching her run around in that thin tracksuit jacket that barely protected her from the elements. Taking advantage of her momentary surprise, he moved quickly and zipped her into it before she could start protesting. She looked like a disgruntled red cotton puff by the time he was done, and he wasn’t just referring to the crimson of her new coat. She looked warm and the waist length jacket fit her well, which pleased him.

         They slipped into a pair of temporary gigai, and he led her to the nearest Senkaimon, ignoring her barrage of questions the whole time – she would see where they were heading when they got there. They found themselves in downtown Tokyo in short order. Shibuya was a winter wonderland this year; the clean, pristine streets dusted white with a light coating of snow and glittering with bright fairy lights and glimmering Christmas decorations, glowing with a magical appeal even in the daylight.

         First order of business was breakfast. Hiyori was grumpy without food in her and he was keen to avoid that in light of the long day she was going to be in for today. The café he brought her to overlooked the Shibuya Crossing and was cozy and well known for their breakfast spread; thick stacks of fluffy, jiggly pancakes with whipped cream, caramelized maple syrup and candied bacon bits, the airiest scrambled eggs and freshly toasted bagels with smoked salmon, juicy heirloom tomatoes and generous, creamy avocado slices, accompanied by aromatic drip coffee that smelled like heaven- he was content watching her over the rim of his cup as she tore ravenously into her food. Reaching over to swipe off the residual cream that smeared her lower lip, he licked it off the pad of his thumb idly, enjoying her sweetness. His lips tipped up in a flitting, teasing grin.

              “ Order more if yer still hungry. Ya better eat well; tonight’s gonna be a long night for ya, ‘lil one~ ”

         Breakfast came and when just like that. The meal was comfortable, companionable, and he enjoyed his time with her. They had known each other for too long and too intimately for any feeling of awkwardness to come between them. He spirited her away again, very much playing up this Christmas mystery. Their next stop was…a wellness salon. An upscale, trendy place that Shinji often visited for his own personal grooming needs. It was a good thing that he was personally acquainted with the owner; there was always a month-long wait list for appointments and it would have been impossible to get a slot on Christmas day otherwise.

              “ Yo, Nana-san, ” he greeted the heavily made up woman who had came striding up to him the moment they entered the tastefully decorated establishment, grinning as he waggled his fingers at the muscular, heavyset female. Pushing Hiyori forward, he idly made the introductions. “ This here is my princess. Treat her well, will ya? Hiyori, Nana-san will take good care of ya~ ”

         The rising realization on Hiyori’s face was almost comical to behold, as was her growing panic. He turned to her and placed his hand on her shoulder, squeezing subtly in a reassuring manner. Or perhaps it was to keep her from running away? Long fingers caressed her cheek affectionately, fondness growing in him at her shell-shocked features. Once she got over her astonishment and mortified resistance, he thought that she was going to enjoy being pampered at the hands of these professionals. Hair, face, nails, body – they would take good care of her, in that way he knew she had always secretly yearned for.

              “ Yer gonna glow for me tonight. This is what I want. Ya’ll fulfill my fantasy, won’t ya, Princess? ”

For me personally, if the love song covers are meant to tell a story about Bulianne love the large majority have to fit. It kind of defeats the purpose to disregard the ones that don’t fit ya kno? Bc then it just becomes cherry picking based off of what we think the story is.

So let’s start w the big one. A Song for You. Name of his ep as well as what really made ppl think it was for a girl bc of his caption of “Yes! For You!” That song is about a man reminiscing on a love that he lost bc he “treated her unkindly.” He didn’t get back to LA till March, I just don’t see Ben falling in love with her, losing her bc he fucked it up and pining this hard in the span of 1.5 months all while she’s still publicly with her husband. Frankly idt Ben was ever in a position to “treat her unkindly.”

Then let’s get into the 11/2020-3/21 timeline where most Buliannes believe they were together and we got JH filing for divorce, Montana and a pap walk. I think those songs should be important. But the two we got Last Christmas and Where is the Love, neither fit. They’re both angry love songs. We actually know for sure that Ben was spending time with JH right after Xmas so why Last Christmas?

That whole song is about an ex throwing your love away and now you’re rubbing into your ex’s face you have a new girl. As far as we know there was no other girl he could use to make JH jealous. He was with her days after Xmas. JH would be the new girl in that scenario. He’s always gone for the cheerful Xmas covers too, choosing such a bitter one when he’s about to go on vaca with his boo just doesn’t make sense.

Then Where is the Love in February fits even less. That song is about being frustrated a girl won’t leave her man. JH already filed by then and had gone on a vacation with Ben. He supposedly had her in some capacity by then. Even DL thought it didn’t fit, people just brushed it aside and said well maybe she went back to Brooks, but that was backed by nothing.

I’m not saying Bulianne isn’t real twinflame love, I just don’t think half his song covers fit. So to me, the covers don’t mean much and we shouldn’t think he’s still pining over her now even if he sings more sappy love songs.
